Speaker 2 (00:08):
Chris is on the phone today for a first date
follow up and he's getting ghosted by a woman named
Madeline that he went on a date with. Chris, what
was that? Man? Hey, before we get into your date
and stuff, how long has it been since you heard
from Madeline.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
It's been about two weeks now.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
And how many times have you tried to reach out
to her in two weeks?

Speaker 3 (00:27):
Well, this is going to sound bad. I've texted her
like maybe ten times so far, okay.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
And no response any of.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
Those, not even an emoji. I'm like nothing.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Oh man, it makes you want to really know what's
going on over there. Okay, Chris, let's go back to
the beginning. How did you guys meet? Tell us about
the date.

Speaker 3 (00:48):
Well, Madeline actually got introduced to me to a friend.
I do bar trivia with some buddies and one night
they talked up Madeline and said, oh, she's cute. You're cute,
maybe you two would hit it off. So I'm kind
of awkward. I'm not good at asking out people, so
you know, they set me up on this blind date

(01:10):
with Madeline, no pictures or anything. Just I was assured
that she that she was cool.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
That's risky, yeah, And was she cool?

Speaker 4 (01:21):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (01:21):
Yeah, Madeline's great. We went out to this nice little
cafe that has the best pastries. You know, I'm a
big dessert guy. She's a dessert gal.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
We talked about that.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
My nurse started to kick in a little bit, but
I don't think I did anything wrong. If anything, it
was the place itself that messed up our date. During
our date, the fire alarm and the cafe went off,
we had to get evacuated and everything. It was awful.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
Was there a fire?

Speaker 3 (01:49):
I guess some biscuits got burnt or something. It wasn't
like a firefire, but it was enough that they got called.
So we were just standing out there awkwardly for a
while until the fireman came. Oh it was a little weird,
to be honest. Why well, instead of going back in
when everything was cleared up, mattel Hum said she had

(02:11):
a great time, but she had to go. But I
asked if we could schedule the next date, you know,
same time, same place, next week. She said yes, but
she never showed up.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
Huh, like a complete redo, same place, same time. Yeah,
that's kind of romantic.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
I thought it was.

Speaker 5 (02:30):
If you want me asking, though, why text her ten times?
If you feel like you're getting ghosted after five? What
makes you wanted to keep texting?

Speaker 3 (02:40):
Well, I didn't know if something had happened to her,
Maybe she was in an accident. You know, maybe I'm
not getting ghosted. You know that's am I getting am
I getting ghosted? Dude, I don't have a.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
Car read on this. Yeah, I think you are. I'm
really sorry. Yeah, I mean it sounds like it because
it's been two weeks. But did something happen?

Speaker 3 (03:00):
Ben?

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Are you sure you have her right number? It was
blind daily? I don't know. Okay, can you think of
anything that could have gone wrong other than the fire
alarm and that? Yeah? I mean that is Yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
We really liked each other. We had similar interests in books.
We both love Shrek, we have the same interest in
movies and music. Okay, I really just want to make
sure she's okay. Or maybe I did get the number wrong,
but I'm pretty sure this is the one I've used
the whole time.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
Okay, Well, we'll see what we figured it out for
you man, We'll play a song come back and then
call her and see if she'll tell us why she's
ghosting you and maybe get you another date. Okay, awesome,
thank you, all right, we'll play a song come Back,
Your first Date follow up.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
Next first Date follow Up powered by the Advocates Injury

Speaker 2 (03:51):
Most of the time, burned biscuits on a first date
is a good thing. Buttered biscuits are oh yeah, buttered
some people burned. It depends how biscuits are usually pretty
good on a date. And Chris is on the phone
for a first date follow up. He had some burned
biscuits maybe on his date, and he thinks that might
have messed up his chances for another date with Madeline.

(04:12):
She's been ghosting him for two weeks, and we're about
to have a mountain see if we can get him
another date and figure out why he's getting ghosted before
we call her. Chris, real quick, refresh everybody's memory on
why you think you're getting.

Speaker 6 (04:22):
Ghosted on our date?

Speaker 3 (04:24):
When I was I was at a cafe with Madeline
and a fire alarm went off and we had to
wait outside. Awkwardly, I said, let's meet back here, same
time next week and have a redo with less fire.
She didn't show up. I truly don't know why.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
Okay, sorry you waited there.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
I had a coffee.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
I guess a scene from a movie. All right, man,
well here, I'm gonna call it right now. Okay, are
you ready?

Speaker 3 (04:50):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (04:51):
Okay, here we go.

Speaker 6 (05:02):
Hello.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
Hey, what's up? Madeline?

Speaker 6 (05:05):
H not much?

Speaker 2 (05:07):
What's up with you much? My name is Jewbel from
a radio show called the Jebel Show him Madeline, I'm
mina guys and I'm Victoria.

Speaker 6 (05:17):
Yeah okay, cool?

Speaker 2 (05:19):
So hi, Hi. Have you heard of the Jubil Show before?

Speaker 6 (05:24):
Uh no, let.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
Me give you the scoop. Okay, it's a radio show
with there's three people on the phone right now with
right now with you. We are calling you because we
got an email about you from somebody who listens to
our show.

Speaker 6 (05:37):
Oh my gosh. Okay, like a good.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
Email, yes, a great email.

Speaker 4 (05:41):
Really it is, all right, So I guess what's going on.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
We do a thing and it's called the first Date
follow up. So what that is is if you go
on a date with someone and then you go you
end up getting ghosted. You can email us to get
the person who ghosted you on the phone and ask
them why they're ghosting you. So you recently went out
with somebody and are ghosting them, and they want to
know why WHOA Okay, do you have any guesses on who?

Speaker 4 (06:11):
I don't think I'm really uh ghosting anyone. I mean
I did have a date where I had a really
good time and we were going to go out again,
but then like he didn't text at all, like between
the first time and the second time, so I thought,
you know that maybe he wasn't that it, and also,
you know, it just made me think about this for

(06:33):
the first time.

Speaker 6 (06:33):
In the second.

Speaker 4 (06:35):
Had the date, he was sort of checking out the
barista at the place that we went to, which I
was sort of like, wow, ouch, you know that sort
of hurts my feelings. And then when he didn't text
it all that week, I was just like, Okay, you know,
I'm just gonna let this one go.

Speaker 6 (06:51):
But maybe maybe him I don't know, Chris.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
That is correct, made his name is Chris. That's what
I'm talking about, Bob nailed it. Do you feel like
he's ghosting you?

Speaker 4 (07:05):
Well, I mean I wouldn't say he was ghosting me,
but I felt like, you know, we connected pretty well.

Speaker 6 (07:13):
But then you know, our first hit was sort of.

Speaker 4 (07:16):
Interrupted by a fire alarm or something that went off
in the place that we were at. And then it
was like, okay, well let's meet up and do this again,
because I mean we were having I thought like a
really good conversation, but it was just you know, interrupted
and stuff. And then like a whole week goes by
and he's not texting, and also just made me think, oh,

(07:36):
you know, he probably was interested in that barista or something.
You know, it made me get all inner sabatory. You know,
I was like, oh, okay.

Speaker 6 (07:46):
I just thought that he was more interested in her.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
Did you think to maybe reach out to him?

Speaker 4 (07:53):
Well, I guess no, you know I didn't. I just
didn't want to sort of waste my time and inner.

Speaker 6 (08:00):
You know.

Speaker 2 (08:02):
He said he texted you like ten times.

Speaker 4 (08:05):
Well like like a week later, like you know, okay,
and then I was just like, okay, I don't know what.

Speaker 6 (08:12):
You know, I wasn't sure what was going on.

Speaker 5 (08:14):
He said, you are supposed to have a second date
to like recreate the first one. Is there a reason
why you didn't just show up just to see if
he was going to be there?

Speaker 4 (08:23):
Because he didn't text me at all or call or
anything until like the day.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
Of Okay, okay, all right, cool, Well thank you for
telling us. I appreciate that.

Speaker 4 (08:33):
Yeah, And I mean, and now I feel bad. I
mean I was just so uh, sort of bummed out
and then just like.

Speaker 6 (08:39):
Move on girl, you know.

Speaker 4 (08:43):
Her pastors or whatever, because I'm you know, I just
like I don't want to get my feelings tur by
someone that I'm at one, you know.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
Get that, well, Madeline, Chris is actually on the phone
and he's been listening this whole time and wants to
talk to you.

Speaker 6 (08:59):
Hey, these are the people.

Speaker 2 (09:05):
For God.

Speaker 6 (09:08):
I thought I thought.

Speaker 3 (09:09):
I thought anticipation would be I don't know, sexy. I
thought we would meet up at the cafe and it
be like romantic, like I don't sort of notebookie. I
don't know. I I wasn't. Also, I wasn't checking out
the barista. I just I have anxiety and it's hard
to be really pretty. I was trying to like look

(09:29):
at you, but not like look at you too intense,
so I would my eyes would go all this I'm
trying to say, like I would. I didn't mean to
make it seem like I don't. I didn't want to
see you again. I definitely want to see you again
that one.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
Yeah, I really do.

Speaker 6 (09:50):
Who are I also love your gos?

Speaker 2 (10:00):
So let me ask you this, Madeline, would you like
to go on another date with Chris. We'll pay for it,
I'll take.

Speaker 6 (10:07):
One of everything. Yeah, I would love that. And you know,
like just I would say, enter the date.

Speaker 4 (10:18):
With full confidence Chris, and you know like like do
look at me and please.

Speaker 6 (10:23):
Don't look at other people?

Speaker 2 (10:25):
And I think it could be really a good time.

Speaker 3 (10:31):
Yes, I will look only at you.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
Congratulations, Chris, you got another date? Man staring content.

Speaker 3 (10:40):
Awesome? Yes, thank you. I look forward to this year.
You're a getting that one.

Speaker 6 (10:45):
I am looking forward to it.

Speaker 2 (10:48):
Text each other. It's okay to communicate.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
I'm going to text you right now.

Speaker 6 (10:55):
All right.

Speaker 4 (10:56):
I will respond with a perfect gift.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
Okay, this is getting too spicy. We gotta let you
guys go
