Speaker 1 (00:00):
First Date of follow up powered by the Advocates Injury
Attorneys online at Advocates Law dot com. Jackson was on
the phone today for a first date follow up and
he's getting ghosted by a girl named Farah. So in
a few minutes, we're gonna call her, see I shetls
why she's ghosting him and maybe get him another date.
But first, Jackson, how long has it been since you
heard from Pharaoh?

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Oh? Man, it's been a a few weeks.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
Have you reached out to her her? But oh, you
have been texting her?

Speaker 4 (00:26):
Yeah, I've been texting her. I just this doesn't normally
happen to me. So I'm just kind of.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
Like, don't get ghosted often.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
Now.

Speaker 4 (00:33):
It's one of those things almost where it's like, you know,
when you can't have something, you want it even more.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
It happens for me.

Speaker 4 (00:40):
So I don't.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
I don't know why did you want her when you
thought you could have her? Like, how is the date.

Speaker 4 (00:45):
I gotta take you?

Speaker 5 (00:46):
Guys?

Speaker 4 (00:46):
It was it was pretty damn perfect. Like, I don't,
I don't really know what else should have gone better?
You know, So we were doing the whole thing, you know,
a texting blah, blah blah, and then finally came time
for a face face and she suggested this coffee shop,
you know, the safe coffee date.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
We'll see how it goes. And it went really well,
had a ton common.

Speaker 4 (01:09):
You know, we were talking sports, we were talking cars.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
I'm a pretty big stand of cars, so it went well.

Speaker 4 (01:17):
And then you know, with that was kind of like,
all right, coffee went well, maybe let's roll this into
a happy hour and then dinner and just kept on
going like went to some really really cool, like slanky spots,
and then the date was over. We we had a
i'll say, a very nice kiss and you.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
Had a nice kiss. What did she say after it?
Was you like, oh, I can't wait to see you again?

Speaker 2 (01:44):
Yeah, I mean yeah, you know.

Speaker 4 (01:45):
Now I'm like hyper analyzing it, like okay, what exactly.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Did she say? But she was like I was like, yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:51):
We should like definitely do this again, and she was
like yeah, And I was kind of trying to pin
her down.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
I was like, okay, like when you know, hey, you
for you next, like and she's.

Speaker 4 (02:01):
Like, uh, yeah, I might be let me know. So
you know, it's like I don't know, I don't know
the whole thing was kind of weird, but I don't know,
I thought it went really well.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
Okay, so even when you ask for another day, she
was like not totally sure.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
She wasn't totally sure, but I thought based upon the
vibe we were having and again like that kiss, like
it was on point, Like I felt like this this
that was that was a there will be a second
date kids.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Anything weird happened on the date, like awkward.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
I've been pouring over it. I mean, like you only
say so.

Speaker 4 (02:33):
I again, I like cars, I drive like this really
it's pretty sweet, this vintage Alfa Romeo. And she kept
on getting frustrated because she had this really nice green
dress on and he kept on getting caught when she
was getting the door and you know, going from place
to place coffee, going to happy or going to dinner,
and it just kept hunting.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
Guy.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
Like I kind of stapped at her because she kept
on touching things too. So those are the only things
that like I can really like not like not snapping, tapping,
but you know, she was, you know, picking at this
thing on a dashboard and I just got that thing
refinished and might.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
A bit of money on it. So I just was like, oh,
you go like kill.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
I mean, that couldn't do it. And it depends how
you snapped, you know.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
Yeah, that sounds like it could have definitely been a
turning point.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
I mean maybe maybe, but I don't know.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
Come on, we'll plas on comeback and then call her
and see if she'll tell us why she's ghosting you
and maybe get you another date if you still want one. Okay,
they can, all right, we'll place on, comeback, get your
first A follow up next if you're just joining us
for today's first A follow up. Jackson is on the
phone and he's getting ghosted by Farah. So we're about

(03:43):
to call her see if Shell tell us why she's
ghosting him, and maybe get him another date. But before
we do that, Jackson, why don't you remind everybody about
your date with Parah.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
We went to went to the pal Cute coffee shop.

Speaker 4 (03:53):
We were talking cars, we were talking sports, we were
talking jobs.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
You know, she's she's super successful, I'm super successful.

Speaker 4 (04:01):
Like it just everything seemed to align and then we
went into a halfy hour. Then we went into dinner.
I was driving her in my in my car and uh,
this this nice vintage Alfa Romeo and yeah, I don't know.
I mean, we had a great kiss at the end
of the night, but I did kind.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
Of snapping her because she gets done fiddling with my car, which.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
I can't end.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
But other than that, like it was, it was great.

Speaker 4 (04:26):
I thought for sure, I thought for sure this was
second There's definitely gonna be a second date.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
I forgot to ask you this in the first part.
Was that snap that heard towards the end or earlier
on in the date?

Speaker 2 (04:36):
It was kind of towards the end.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
Okay, towards the end. Okay, all right, here we go.
Hello him as to Farah, please, this is she? Hey Sarah,
how are you? My name is Jebel. I'm calling from
a radio show. It's called the Jubil Show.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
Hi, Parah, I'm hi, and I'm Victoria.

Speaker 6 (05:02):
Hi.

Speaker 5 (05:03):
Hi.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
Have you ever listened to the show before?

Speaker 6 (05:05):
I have?

Speaker 2 (05:07):
What is this bill?

Speaker 1 (05:08):
We're calling because we got an email about you.

Speaker 6 (05:12):
About me?

Speaker 1 (05:13):
Yes?

Speaker 6 (05:15):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
We do a segment on a show called the First
Date follow Up. It's where if you go out on
a date with somebody and then you end up ghosting them,
they can email us to get you on the phone
and ask why you're ghosting them. So we got an
email about you from someone who you've been out with
and now you're not talking to Oh no, oh yeah,
I can say it, like, who do you think it is?

Speaker 6 (05:39):
I think I remember what was his name? Jackson?

Speaker 1 (05:44):
Yes, Sarah, it is Jackson. He told us about your
date and he's curious why you're ghosting it.

Speaker 5 (05:51):
I mean, so the date was fine, but after marinating
on it and like how everything went to be quite honest,
he's a little bit dumb.

Speaker 6 (06:05):
Oh yeah. All he talked about was his car, and
which is fine.

Speaker 5 (06:13):
But then I thought maybe we could have more of
an intellectual conversation.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
But that just didn't happen.

Speaker 5 (06:20):
And what really intrigued me about his dating profile and
dating app and whatnot was on his profile he had
pictures of himself.

Speaker 6 (06:27):
With books, and you know, he looked like he was
really well educated.

Speaker 5 (06:31):
And I thought, great, we can have a conversation about
our favorite authors.

Speaker 6 (06:34):
What we're reading.

Speaker 5 (06:35):
And it was like he couldn't even name a book
and it seemed like he had ever even read before,
just like the way he pronounced some things on the menu.
I was like, oh, and you know, he's a nice kid.

Speaker 6 (06:51):
He does have a nice car. But I just feel
like his quote.

Speaker 5 (06:54):
Unquote success is just things that he's purchased, like he
hasn't worked for it or earned like I have my
own startup career, I'm working hard for it, you know,
and it just sort of seems like.

Speaker 6 (07:06):
Things are handed to him.

Speaker 5 (07:08):
And there was definitely a disconnect on that aspect.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
Did you feel that way the entire date, because he
did mention that you guys were in three different locations.

Speaker 6 (07:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (07:19):
So we started off at the coffee shop and then
we decided, Okay, it's going really well. We'll do happy
hour dinner and everything. And I guess during the happy
hour dinner is when I really started to think, Okay,
maybe this isn't going to work.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
Copie.

Speaker 5 (07:33):
I gave the benefit of the doubt. We're just meeting
face to face for the first time. It should be
you know, we're both a little bit nervous. But then
when he got a little snippy with me in the car,
I was like, oh, that's that's a little jarring.

Speaker 6 (07:49):
So I mean, yeah, it was. I don't think it's
a thing.

Speaker 1 (07:54):
Would you like to be sure?

Speaker 6 (07:57):
What do you mean?

Speaker 1 (07:59):
Well, what I mean by that is Jackson is on
the phone listening and wants to talk to you.

Speaker 5 (08:03):
Hey, sharoh oh oh Hi.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
Hey, how's it goes?

Speaker 6 (08:14):
I'm doing really well? How are you?

Speaker 4 (08:16):
I am dumb sounded by everything I deserve?

Speaker 6 (08:23):
You heard everything.

Speaker 5 (08:25):
I mean, I'm sorry that's harsh, But if you wanted
to know the reason why I ghosted you, that's really
the honest truth.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
Well, I mean you know I'm a big boy.

Speaker 4 (08:41):
Yeah, I get paid the big bucks for a reason,
Like you can just tell me these things.

Speaker 2 (08:44):
You don't have to just like.

Speaker 4 (08:45):
Not text me back for two weeks.

Speaker 5 (08:48):
I mean, I'm busy with my company and just humbling
and everything.

Speaker 6 (08:55):
Well are you?

Speaker 2 (08:57):
Uh yeah, I work very hard.

Speaker 4 (09:00):
Like I showed you a picture in my house, Like
that doesn't vay for itself.

Speaker 6 (09:06):
That was like, are you saying that's not your parents' house?

Speaker 2 (09:10):
No, that's not my parents' house. Yeah, that's mine. Mm hmmm.

Speaker 6 (09:14):
I mean that's the point.

Speaker 5 (09:16):
You base your success on your material things, things that
like you.

Speaker 6 (09:19):
Could just purchase.

Speaker 4 (09:21):
Yeah, well, I mean how else do you measure it?
I mean I could put a hand in my house,
Like what, like, what else do you even measure success?

Speaker 2 (09:28):
Buy?

Speaker 5 (09:30):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (09:31):
I mean it goes deeper than that.

Speaker 4 (09:33):
Okay, so if they're not houses, Like I look at
the zeros in my bank account and I feel pretty
darn good about that.

Speaker 5 (09:42):
I mean, it goes deeper Jackson than material objects. Like
you don't just base success.

Speaker 6 (09:48):
Off of that.

Speaker 4 (09:50):
Yeah, I travel though, like you know, I even like
eight of my buddies were on the yacht and like
the Mediterranean.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
It was amazing. Like I genuinely I do not know
what you're talking about.

Speaker 6 (10:01):
That's just say Jackson. You just mentioned the yacht in
the Mediterranean. You're not getting it all.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
Right, Like fine, I've been on a yacht in the Caribbean.

Speaker 4 (10:11):
I went snorkeling and scuba diving for like three week
last month in uh, you know, in Australia. Like, I
don't know what else do you want?

Speaker 6 (10:22):
I think you need to take a yacht to bring
me to Triangle and not come back.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
WHOA, Well, no, that you said that fair? Would you
like another day with Jackson? Will pay for it?

Speaker 6 (10:30):
And you know what, I'm going to pass on that
second date.

Speaker 5 (10:34):
However, I do have a friend that I feel like
he would click with because they have the same type
of delusions, So I feel like they would.

Speaker 6 (10:43):
Get along just great, I'll take it.

Speaker 2 (10:48):
For her. Oh my god.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
Okay, successful first day follow up. Yeah, you guys can
text each other and work that out.

Speaker 6 (10:56):
