Speaker 1 (00:03):
Hello, listeners, this is Charlie Foley. I'm the host of
the podcast Flags for the Flagless, United Stories of America.
I started on this journey of raising American flags over
ten years ago as a police officer while I was
patrolling the streets of Tucson, Arizona. It's then that I
began to notice empty flagpoles everywhere all of the time.
(00:27):
I wanted to do something about this, and I did.
Once word got out about what I was doing and
what my mission was, which is to provide access to
the American flag wherever it was needed. I started to
then get requests for flags to be placed in school classrooms.
Then various businesses throughout town started to contact me about
(00:49):
getting an American flag up on their bare flag pole.
It's been an amazing journey thus far, but I'm far
from being done. I have been able to place American
flags across the country, from San Diego, California, to Brooklyn,
New York, and places in between. I've ensured that our
national symbol of freedom, hope, and unity stands tall for everyone.
(01:11):
I asked that you join me and give a listen
to Flags for the Flagless United Stories of America, where
I promise you you will hear some pretty inspiring, incredible
stories of patriotism, sacrifice, as well as a little history
mixed in all because of the American flag. Every American

flag has a story, they truly do. I'm honored to
be able to share some of the stories that I've
gathered over the years with you. A few of these
stories may even bring a tear to your eye, so
be prepared. You won't be disappointed. I hope you download
or subscribe to my podcasts, Flags for the Flagless, United

raise more American flags together throughout this great nation of ours.
