Speaker 1 (00:03):
Hey, everyone, welcome back to another episode of fut Around
and find Out. I'm here with my girl a Shanty.
Hey Shanty, Hi, how you doing, girl?
Speaker 2 (00:13):
I'm great? How are you? I'm good. I'm really excited
to do this episode.
Speaker 3 (00:17):
It almost feels like I haven't seen you in forever,
even though I just saw you. But I'm really glad
to get into it. We love a good solo ETPI,
so I'm ready.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
Yeah, me too. We've got lots to catch up on
for sure. One. How was your Thanksgiving? How was your holidays?
My Thanksgiving was actually pretty good. It was chill.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
I haven't had a thing like a real Thanksgiving home
cooked meal since my freshman year. I went to Caroline's
and so this year I went to Sarah Strong's mom's
place in Boston Nice. So that was fun. It was
me kk sarahes. It was chill. We got there probably
eight within an hour. I think we're there for maybe
two hours. We got her mom was finishing wearing things up,
(01:02):
like putting everything out. We ate packed to go boxes,
and Sarah was like, all right, see you.
Speaker 3 (01:07):
And I loved first of all the fact that thanks
Given started and you got to eat within and be
there an hour, like, shout out to Sarah Strong's mom,
because let me tell you something, my family, you will
starve the whole day, the whole day, and then when
the sun sets, that's when we get to eat.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
So must be nice.
Speaker 1 (01:28):
Now, her mom and her grandma went to work. I'm
not eating sugar, and they made homemade pies and I
was like, I have to break it for this. They
made pecan pie, stuep potato pie, and apple pie. And
it's my first time having stue potato pie, so good.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
First time.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
Yeah, sir mart it on my black side. Okay, it
took me twenty three years to here.
Speaker 3 (01:50):
Sometimes listen, some black people don't like sweet potato pope.
But it was the fact time. It was the first
time you tried it. That's why I'm shook. Like it's
definitely one of my favorites. And I'm pretty sure like
a singer came out with some sweet potato pie. I
can't remember her name at this moment. We're gonna pop
a picture up or something. And that was good too.
And my mom and my grandmother they also go to work.
(02:11):
But this Thanksgiving I didn't even go hang out at
their house for long. I went to see my other family.
I went down to Memphis. It's like a Thanksgiving tour.
I stopped and got me a little plate, and then
the next day flew out to Memphis.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
But yeah, Thanksgiving was good.
Speaker 3 (02:30):
Travels the airport actually wasn't as crazy, thank goodness. But
it was good to see family and to eat good.
I'm still shook on it was your first time trying it.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
I low key. I'm like, when.
Speaker 3 (02:42):
You're done with the season of not eating sugar, we
gotta go on a sweet treat tour.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
But like, I don't really crave it anymore. There's so
many cleaner substitutes that I can eat it without feeling bad.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
Yeah, okay, how about a healthy sweet treat tour? Yeah okay,
good that's gonna be new for me too, because I'm
still stuck on your cottage cheese cookies. Girl. Okay, those
weren't the best, but I've made some things. I've made
somethings since that are pretty good.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
Oh my goodness.
Speaker 3 (03:20):
Wait, so what's your favorite Thanksgiving dish? Ooh, baked macaroni
and cheese. Hands down, baked macaroni and cheese. The recipe
has been passed down in my family I still haven't
been blessed with the golden gloves to make it for
the family yet.
Speaker 2 (03:35):
I was gonna ask if you can make you someone
never mind.
Speaker 3 (03:38):
Wait, wait, I can do it with assistance. I'll FaceTime
Mommy and I will figure out. But absolutely it's not
exactly like the healthiest, So I'll probably hook you up
with that after the season, something for sure.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
What about you? What's your favorite?
Speaker 1 (03:53):
Usually my mom's seat, potato castro and green bean castrole,
But this year I was really just looking forward having
some greens, greens and so long.
Speaker 3 (04:01):
Yeah, Sarah's grandma greens, Yeah, delicious, Sarah Strong household. We
accept food deliveries. We accept food deliveries at this house. Okay, okay,
so you got to go with Sarah Strong and her family.
Does the team do anything specific to celebrate the holidays together?
Speaker 2 (04:24):
This year we didn't.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
Usually we're like the last couple of years, we've been
on a trip and playing games on Thanksgiving, so we
eat hotel food, and as we'll go to a restaurant
and eat restaurant Thanksgiving food, which is just never the same.
But this year everyone had a place to go. I
either went to Sarah's or to Caroline, which was really
nice that everyone got some home cooked food and got
to be with people they love.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
Oh, I love that. That's good.
Speaker 3 (04:50):
You don't get a lot of time to spend with
your family on holidays, especially your team the way you
guys been traveling and playing back to back to back,
So that's really nice that you guys got to and
you got to do this, especially in your last year.
So ms, ma'am, you are juggling finals with playing at
a very high level.
Speaker 2 (05:10):
What's that been like?
Speaker 3 (05:12):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (05:12):
Tiring?
Speaker 1 (05:14):
And it really hasn't been that bad. So I'm in
grad school and so it's a lot it's more so
projects and papers and a lot of it is group work.
And so right now, let's see, this is finals week
for everyone else. Right now, I have one final and
it's a classes online so it's an open note final,
but it's nineteen pages of questions with like case studies,
(05:39):
like lots of different websites and articles to read. And
I'm like, we just had a whole semester, Like what
the professor is going through the instructions and questions for
the exam making sure we got everything under we understand everything.
Then one of the guys in my class is like professor.
This reminds me of the exam I had to take
when I was working to get my pH d.
Speaker 2 (05:59):
I'm like, that's a sign that this is not okay. Yeah,
help not all yet.
Speaker 1 (06:05):
So I have that and then a group paper and
then I'm done. Okay, nice, almost there.
Speaker 3 (06:11):
So do the coaches are the coaches like involved or
do you guys have like advisors who make sure you
guys stay on track?
Speaker 2 (06:17):
Because I can't.
Speaker 3 (06:18):
I mean I remember juggling both back in the day,
and we had advisors who are on our boat, like
on our butts, I was gonna say something completely different,
but on our behinds making sure things get done. Do
they give you like a little bit of autonomy, like
you're an adult, now get it done?
Speaker 2 (06:35):
Or are they checking in?
Speaker 1 (06:37):
So we have an academic advisor. Her name is Ellen.
She's the best. She like she oversees a lot of stuff,
but she works with our team specifically, and so she's
the one that makes sure, like freshmen, you have mandatory
study hall, like I think five or six times a week.
She comes with us on trips. You've got study hall
on away trips in the hotel. But then as you're older.
As you prove that your responsible mature can cook good
(06:59):
grades your own, then you don't always have to go
on those away trips study hall sessions and she you
definitely if I have any tips, make sure you're on
your academic advisor's good side because you have.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
Just turned the season.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
There's so much going on with traveling, missing classes, having
to change, like are there missing assignments or missing like
exams you have to make up. Making sure that your
your academic advisor likes you is key because you're the
ones that are communicating, helping you communicate with your professors
and making sure you've got everything under control. So Ellen
has helped me a ton these last four years.
Speaker 3 (07:33):
Okay, shout out to Ellen, because if you don't get
good grades, you can't play.
Speaker 2 (07:38):
Yes, but if you need that kick and your behind,
she will give it to you.
Speaker 3 (07:42):
Okay, come on, Ellen, all right, So let's talk more
about holiday plans. I know we talked a little bit
like usually the team gets together, but does the team
have any like holiday specific traditions.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
No, I'm gonna try to play secret Sandah with the
team this year.
Speaker 2 (08:03):
I'm gonna bring it up.
Speaker 1 (08:04):
Actually, I'm not sure if I'm even gonna like bring
it up as like an option, I think I might
just send it in the group chat and be like, hey,
we're doing this. I'm sending out like we're putting everyone's
name and like a random name generator and we're playing
Secretsanda yes, because I really want to.
Speaker 2 (08:18):
I really really want to.
Speaker 3 (08:19):
It's my last time and why not, and it's cute
and it's fun. It's gonna be hilarious. Actually, you shouldn't
really record the gifts that.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
Everyone gives, because I know that's gonna be comedy.
Speaker 3 (08:30):
All right, what's your favorite Christmas movie?
Speaker 1 (08:35):
My top two are Elf and The Grinch. Oh I
haven't an Elf, I mean The Grinch?
Speaker 2 (08:42):
Sir? Look at you represented my outfit I Christmas book.
Come on, let me see.
Speaker 3 (08:49):
Yes, pajamas. Are you gonna do matching pajamas with the team?
That'd be cute.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
That would be cute, and you can give your gifts.
Speaker 1 (08:58):
I don't do that with my roommates, but maybe well,
maybey'all let the whole team in on it, offer it
and then definitely do it with the roommates. And if
the rest of the team was to join, that's a plus.
That's so cute. Feel like a little holiday card. I'm
pretty sure your families would appreciate that.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
They definitely. Did you have any traditions with your team?
We just made.
Speaker 3 (09:18):
Sure that if we weren't home, like if we weren't
home with our families, that we did one big meal together.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
And I love that.
Speaker 3 (09:26):
That was for any holiday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, even New Year's
we would spend together.
Speaker 2 (09:31):
So our tradition was to make sure we had.
Speaker 3 (09:34):
Like a team meal and usually the seniors or the
best cook would cheve it up and we would squeeze
all into our tiny little apartment and just like have
a good time.
Speaker 2 (09:43):
Like that was like the best tradition. That's sweet. That
was a good time. And magic pajamas woo so cute.
Love it. I love it. That's a family tradition we do.
Speaker 1 (09:54):
It's not always matching, but we always do Christmas usually
matching Christmas pajamas.
Speaker 2 (09:59):
Cute. Be waiting on that picture.
Speaker 3 (10:01):
Tell Katie, what's your favorite Christmas song?
Speaker 2 (10:06):
Oh? Oh, what's it called? I'm easy? It's okay?
Speaker 3 (10:12):
What's yours all live for Christmas? Ecuse you?
Speaker 2 (10:16):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (10:16):
I better play music over that. That's crazy. Tell to
me we gotta play music over that.
Speaker 1 (10:22):
Yeah, Christmas means to me, that's what it is. Oh,
how did I go?
Speaker 3 (10:27):
Uh uh no, not with my I just I'm sure
I don't know the melody of that one.
Speaker 2 (10:36):
You know that song? Me me, me, me, me, let
me hear a little want.
Speaker 3 (10:43):
Why you're not gonna sing? It's okay, I'll find it.
I'll look it up.
Speaker 2 (10:46):
Oh, I'm embarrassed. I'm not a singer, and then my
voice sounds even worse. We'll put auto tune on it.
It's okay. You know. I thought about it, but I'm not.
Speaker 1 (10:59):
I was. I was like yelling at in the shower
the other day, So whoever was showering at the same
time as me definitely heard it when we were in
the gym with anyone, No.
Speaker 2 (11:09):
No, no, I didn't even think that.
Speaker 3 (11:11):
I was thinking about the person who would hear I'm crying.
I think it was Kalis in there with me. She
ain't got no room to talk because I know her.
She definitely gives singing in the shower energy, singing, yelling
twenty four to seven energy.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
So, oh, my gosh, she's gonna say we sent a shot,
so thame once.
Speaker 3 (11:30):
Again and are oh not and is all right, let's pivot.
So A Z, your Madison re internship is coming up.
Speaker 1 (11:46):
I'm excited. Well, first I'm excited to not have school
for like a month, and then I'm excited for this
internship with Madison Reid. I mean, we have talked a
little bit about what it entails, but it's like I've
never done this before, They've never done this before.
Speaker 2 (11:59):
So I'm excited to.
Speaker 1 (12:00):
See what's really going to happen with this internship, like
what I what I get to do, what I get
to learn, what I get to be a part of.
Speaker 3 (12:07):
So I think it's gonna be super cool. Yeah, I
mean I really wonder what that looks like, you know
what I mean? Is there anything specific that you're looking
forward to learning? I know you want to be in
like close proximity because you respect her as a business woman, But.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
Is there anything in particular you really want to learn? Yeah? No,
I think games incredible. But I don't really know.
Speaker 1 (12:29):
I think I'm just excited to see, like to be
on some calls, to be just to hear some people
just see. I don't know, I feel like taking classes
like I went from my underground date communications and then
with like, no, I took one like finance is class
and I was like, oh, I'm gonna get my master's
in business now about business where everyone around me is
(12:50):
has been working for like three to twenty years already,
so they can like apply what we're learning to a
real world to their job to work where I'm learning
this stuff, and I'm like, I don't even I can't
imagine what setting i'd be using this, and like I understand,
like this is great stuff to know, but I don't
know what industry I want to work in, what I
want to do, so to be able to actually like
(13:10):
kind of carry over some of my my knowledge from.
Speaker 2 (13:14):
School to a real real world job.
Speaker 1 (13:18):
So yeah, I'm excited just to learn to be a
sponge and see you see what happens.
Speaker 3 (13:24):
Yeah, is this going to be in person or remote?
I meaning like in office or yes. I am doing
a remote corporate internship with Madison Ray next semester and
I am so excited. Their closest hair color bar is
in Westport, so it's it's a decent drive, but I'm
hoping that I might also, you know, get the chance
to color someone's hair. Has a little fun side side
(13:46):
activity that would be cool. Ah, I will gladly put
on a way. I will gladly put on a way
and let you color it.
Speaker 2 (13:56):
Great, let me color your hair.
Speaker 3 (14:00):
So Grace is one of our producers, that would be jokes.
I would love she would have let you. Probably, honestly,
she would absolutely let you. Let's talk about how you're
underfeed it, underfeed it.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
Listen. I know you don't care about these things. Let
me care. Let me care. Okay. I'm so excited I've
had the chance to.
Speaker 3 (14:30):
I mean, if i haven't been in person, I've been
watching keeping up with the team, and you guys are
so fun to watch. Like, I am excited to be
rooting for y'all. I'm excited to watch y'all play. When
some of the games are close, I'm.
Speaker 2 (14:45):
Like, oh my goodness.
Speaker 3 (14:47):
And then even when you guys are knocking teams out
by thirty plus, I'm just I'm really amazed, honestly, And
I've been enjoyed every second. I'm like all my women's
college basketball tour right now.
Speaker 1 (15:00):
Fun to have basketball back on, to have things to watch,
good games to watch that has been missed it.
Speaker 2 (15:06):
Yeah, girl, and this this is it.
Speaker 3 (15:09):
So does pressure or momentum build more when a team starts,
like when your team has started undefeated, No, meaning like,
do you feel pressure to keep this streak up or
do you feel like because you guys are in this.
I know winning is like a culture, right, some of
you guys have cultivated.
Speaker 2 (15:30):
So is there a pressure that you feel to keep
winning or is kind of like one game at a time.
Speaker 1 (15:36):
It's definitely one game at a time. I don't think
we feel much pressure to keep winning. I think just
like the standard and the expectations that we have just
within our own building and our own team and with
the coaching staff, Like I don't know, it just keeps
us focused on what we need to do to just
keep getting better. Like we are humbled every day and practice,
(16:00):
So never do we feel like, oh we're so we're so.
Speaker 2 (16:02):
Good, Like, no, we're humbled every every time. Every time
something goes.
Speaker 1 (16:06):
Right, it's like, oh, actually that wasn't like you thought
you did a good job. No, you also messed up here.
So we know there's always things we can get better
on that we need to get better on. So I
feel like our focus is really just on getting better
and not like, oh my gosh, we're undefeated.
Speaker 2 (16:19):
That's not.
Speaker 3 (16:21):
That's all right about. Let the fans be excited and
worried about that. So in those games when your team
is like up quite a few and then you're coming out, Like,
how does it feel coming out of those games early?
Think of it as, like I was gonna say, think
of it as like, you know, your opportunity to like.
Speaker 2 (16:40):
Watch because usually you're in the game playing the whole time.
Speaker 1 (16:45):
I mean, I think the games that we're up, it's
fun because you get the chance to play with different
lineups and then when you get subbed out, you then
get the chance to watch the rest of your team
play and get to enjoy and cheer them on and celebrate.
So that that is definitely my highlight is getting to
cheer them on and you know, celebrate them and support them.
(17:07):
But yeah, I guess yeah, So.
Speaker 3 (17:11):
What do you guys do when you guys have a
bigger game coming up to like prepare for that?
Speaker 1 (17:17):
Honestly, I'd say our preparation from game to game isn't
that different. Like, no matter if we play a top
ranked opponent or an unranked opponent, our preparation is generally
the same. Like maybe in your individual or position pre practice,
post practice workouts, you'll do some specific stuff coming for
(17:37):
the game coming up, like whether it's like, oh, like
you've got the best you've got to guard the best player,
you gotta work on your defense, or juster physically, you
gotta work on this, or they like to run this
play like we're gonna work on this action, or like
if they're trapping, we're gonna work on breaking trap.
Speaker 2 (17:49):
Whatever.
Speaker 1 (17:49):
Like you do that more so in your like individual stuff,
and then in practice we'll do like in general, like
I said, if they like to press, will work on
press break that week, but it's not really until two
days with for that we even really like bring mention
that team, bring that team up, which I kind of
like that no matter what, the focus is really on
us making sure that we're prepared, we're doing what we
(18:11):
need to and then it's okay, now we'll go over
some scout stuff for the other team. But as long
as we're taking care of ourselves, like we know, we're
in good shape, all right.
Speaker 3 (18:20):
Not you giving out the formula for success. That's awesome.
Do you feel like, you know you mentioned before you
want to be more of a vocal leader. Do you
feel like that's been easier now as the season has
been progressing well.
Speaker 1 (18:34):
Has its moments still have a lot of area of growth,
a lot of growth in that area.
Speaker 2 (18:42):
I would say it's gotten better.
Speaker 3 (18:45):
But yes, I've like I be I feel like I've
noticed you'd be a lot more confident in general, even
like when you do media and stuff like that and
you're talking and I know we're talking about like leading
your team vocally, like OnCore off court stuff, but just
I know that you wanted to work on these things,
and I'm like seeing it in real time, like there's
(19:07):
you know, coach Gino, he was just like, well what
I'm easy answering the question and I'm like, hold on,
my will do that no more?
Speaker 2 (19:16):
She don't even do that no more.
Speaker 3 (19:18):
She might take a beat, she might take a beat,
but she didn't even do that no more. But nobody
watches those those games conference things so bad we do,
but they're interesting, they're interesting. But yeah, I've seen it.
Feels like are what I've watched is you be a
(19:38):
lot more confident when you're answering questions and when you're
showing up.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
Well thank you.
Speaker 3 (19:44):
I do you feel more comfortable? Like I said, that
could be better.
Speaker 2 (19:50):
All right, Girley, I know you are really locked.
Speaker 3 (19:52):
In to the season and that is your number one focus.
Of course, rankings come out, mock draft come out. How
does it feel to see your name in those kind
of things?
Speaker 1 (20:04):
Kind of weird. I've only seen a little bit. I'm
not really on not really, I'm not on social media.
I don't think I've been on Instagram in like a month.
Speaker 2 (20:13):
That makes sense. I've written you on Instagram, Yeah I do.
I do want to go on in scroll and just
see what's going on.
Speaker 1 (20:20):
But it's like, yeah, so I happened to feel like
it's I haven't really seen much of anything. But it
is weird. The thing like, just because I don't see
it doesn't mean I don't know what's happening. Yeah, so
it is weird. It is crazy to think that that
is not at all My focus is like that is
coming up. So it is just crazy that I don't know.
(20:42):
It's weird to think about. It's crazy to think about.
Speaker 3 (20:44):
I'm so excited for you, like ah, I just wish
all the good and great things and I'm gonna be
right there, girl, I'm gonna give me a camera and
be like you're doing great, sweetie.
Speaker 2 (20:55):
I already know like that, I'm ready. I'm ready absolutely.
Speaker 3 (21:03):
So I got the chance to come visit you this
past weekend. Supe Bird had her jersey retired. I mean,
whoa incredible, so exciting? What was that like for you?
Speaker 1 (21:17):
It was super cool? I mean, so I was there
when Swin Cash had her jersey retired too, and that
was really cool. And so then to be there for
another I mean, this is the third women's jersey that's retired.
So I've been there now for two which is crazy
to think that I've been super lucky just to have
that opportunity to witness that. But yeah, Sue's amazing. She's
(21:39):
an amazing player, but an amazing person and amazing home
model for all of us. Still is so to be
able to see that, to witness that, to celebrate her, and.
Speaker 2 (21:48):
Then to score a hundred points.
Speaker 3 (21:50):
I was literally gonna say, like having a ceremony like that,
come on, having a ceremony like that and then playing
after Like what does that do to your team?
Speaker 2 (22:02):
Like how does that impact your team going out there?
Speaker 3 (22:05):
Well?
Speaker 1 (22:06):
I mean, first of all, you know superts in the building,
like you want to play well because supers are fielding,
but then also like honoring her. You're like, okay, now
we got to play well, like let's go, but yeah, no,
I thought we did have a good game, so it
was nice to celebrate her. See her jersey be unveiled,
the threat word unveiled, unveiled whatever, see her jersey up
(22:30):
in the rafters, her jersey banner, whatever it's called. And
then to perform the way that we did. I thought
we had a pretty good, pretty good team game that day,
so it was great.
Speaker 2 (22:41):
Great way to honor her.
Speaker 3 (22:43):
Did Sue get a chance to address the team at
all before the game? Uh?
Speaker 2 (22:48):
No, okay, how about after.
Speaker 1 (22:51):
She's in the locker room after, shouldn't address the team? Playoffs,
we came in, she said hi to all of us.
We got to hide her Megan and her nieces, which
was nice.
Speaker 3 (22:59):
I I know when she got I don't know if
you caught this, but when she basically asked her niece like,
are you here enjoying this for me? Are you more
excited to watch a Z play? I cried, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (23:15):
I was like, no way. But her niece was so sweet.
Speaker 1 (23:17):
So I got to tell jersey for her after and
I told her she's got to come back to more games.
They live in Connecticut. It was like, I better see
you here and when you call it, you better say hi.
Now that we're friends.
Speaker 3 (23:27):
So she hears this, I didn't forget pull up.
Speaker 2 (23:33):
Pull up?
Speaker 3 (23:34):
Oh man, Okay, So we're gonna pivot a little bit
talking about training. Where is your focus now that you
are what part of the season would you call this
still like the beginning, you know, before conference, but not
like the beginning beginning? So where's your focus with training
right now?
Speaker 2 (23:53):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (23:55):
I'm currently in a layup slump. So this week I'll
be working on my shame package. You gonna need tips
for me, you know.
Speaker 3 (24:03):
What I tell people. When I saw you miss that layup, girl,
I was like, it's too close. It's too close. My
sister needs more space between her and the basket.
Speaker 2 (24:13):
That's why. That's why my tips are, don't overthink it.
Speaker 3 (24:18):
You can make a layup like period, don't overthink it,
go up regular. Your body knows the motion. That's my tip. Girl,
you can make a layer.
Speaker 2 (24:27):
That's it.
Speaker 3 (24:28):
So yeah, that's my current focus and training finished package.
I'm crying my two footers anything from two feet When
you when you miss lay up, I'm like it was
a pass where I was.
Speaker 2 (24:41):
Really going for like the alley you just no one
was there. That's what it gave.
Speaker 3 (24:44):
That's what again had the game to dunk it for me.
Oh my goodness, it's okay, girl, you won't get it back.
So social media, I know you're not on it, but
a lot of fans have been going super crazy. You've
had a couple of viral moments. Uh no, no, no,

Speaker 3 (25:25):
The USF game where there's a video of you basically.
Speaker 2 (25:30):
Like bohm, run it through a girl. Do you remember
that moment? Listen, she'd be eating her old ladies and
gentlemen literally right now and in life.
Speaker 1 (25:42):
Yes, yes, I remember that, Like okay, yeah, I was
running so yes, like I ran into her and I'd
put my hands there like slow down, those are just
gonna like face and chest first, like run into her
but didn't shove her though, Like my hands were there,
(26:02):
but it wasn't.
Speaker 2 (26:03):
Like a two hand push. She just sold it really well.
They're just really good floppers, right.
Speaker 3 (26:10):
Anyways, someone else was like fut around and find out
what I thought they were trying to say. Is like
they futted around, like, oh girl, fudded around and found
out real quick.
Speaker 2 (26:22):
Another tweet, Yes girl, I'm gonna read them off.
Speaker 3 (26:25):
There's like two more physicality wise, Asy Fudd is going
to be able to hold her own in the dub.
Speaker 2 (26:32):
I can see it. Now. That's a compliment.
Speaker 3 (26:36):
We love.
Speaker 2 (26:36):
It's a compliment. They're very strong because.
Speaker 3 (26:38):
Uh yeah, every time I hear about welcome to the
dub moment, it's about either getting their nose busted or
getting hit in the gut or some kind of hello
it's me moment.
Speaker 2 (26:54):
That's another tweet.
Speaker 3 (26:56):
A sound mind said, as continue to make it seem
like none of these other schools have weight rooms on
their campuses.
Speaker 2 (27:04):
Oh my gosh, I just I don't know. I have
no color. I have no color.
Speaker 3 (27:11):
No comment is okay, No comment is okay, She pleads
the fifth Ladies and gentlemen, I do last one if Aasy,
If Asy apologizes, I'll push her myself because they know
you're a sweet princess, So no saying sorry.
Speaker 1 (27:29):
I didn't mean to like push her just in my way.
Speaker 2 (27:37):
I'm crying.
Speaker 3 (27:45):
We are moving on to butting games. The first butting
game we have is our what the fudd of the week?
I remember who makes the sweet Potato pies?
Speaker 2 (27:55):

soul in that file. Let me tell you something.
Speaker 3 (28:04):
When they first dropped, they were getting sold out everywhere.
Speaker 2 (28:07):

you to try it with me.
Speaker 2 (28:13):
Okay, I'll have to try it. I'm not well.
Speaker 3 (28:19):
She's funny. You should look up some of her she
you not knowing who Patty is just I just felt
the oldness in my heart just come out. Patti LaBelle
she's hilarious. I think you would like her if you
ever watch some of her live videos. She was singing
one time and her backup dancers or backup singer excuse me,
(28:40):
weren't singing the words, and the person who was holding
the cards wasn't moving.
Speaker 2 (28:43):
It fast enough.
Speaker 3 (28:44):
So she's like singing, messed up the words, and it's like,
where are.
Speaker 2 (28:48):
My backup singers? Where are my backup sings, oh, honey,
next card, next card. Oh I've seen her before, her before, Yes,
I'm telling her name. I was just like singing a
Christmas week, Yes, I would love that.
Speaker 3 (29:08):
So are what the fun of the week is? Definitely Kalise,
definitely clease. It was Kalise and coach playing one on
one and coach making that like, no looker, backwards, whatever,
just plick the ball.
Speaker 2 (29:22):
Up and it went in shot. I cannot believe that.
Speaker 3 (29:25):
I'm like, girl, first of all, how are you gonna
miss the layup?
Speaker 2 (29:28):
You backing down? This man smoke the layup?
Speaker 3 (29:31):
And then he don't even try When I say, caught
the ball, no, look.
Speaker 2 (29:38):
Tall, light it up. I'm like, I was like when
I saw that, I.
Speaker 3 (29:43):
Said, it's gonna do numbers. This is gonna do numbers.
Was definitely saying that. Definitely is what the fun of
the week. So what's forty years of forty one years
of coaching? He doesn't even need to look at the basket.
Speaker 2 (29:56):
Gagged like not the first try, no look huh.
Speaker 3 (30:02):
But yeah, that's the fun of the week. We have
a next another game, a next game. It is a
game very similar to Jeopardy. So it's gonna be a
little trivia game that our producer are amazing producer Grace created.
Speaker 2 (30:18):
So we have three different categories.
Speaker 3 (30:20):
We have the Yukon Cinematic Universe, which is the old
Yukon players, Yukon Undefeated all of the undefeated streaks, and
fut around and.
Speaker 2 (30:31):
Find out which is AZ's stats.
Speaker 3 (30:34):
Each category has an option where you can get either
two hundred, four hundred, six hundred, eight hundred or one
thousand points.
Speaker 2 (30:44):
As are you ready? Yes, ma'am? All right? Which one
do you want? What's first? I would like Yukon Undefeated
for two hundred? Please question?
Speaker 3 (30:54):
Yukon owns the two longest winning streaks in college basketball history.
What was the longest and second longest streak? M?
Speaker 2 (31:09):
One thirty five wins? And what's the second longest? I
don't know. I need a former friend.
Speaker 3 (31:19):
What's the answer?
Speaker 2 (31:21):
The answer is you better get on Google. That's cheated.
Speaker 3 (31:27):
What's the answer one hundred eight, one hundred and eleven
straight wins and ninety straight wins?
Speaker 2 (31:35):
Don't want? I was so all right? Let's see fut
around and find out for two hundred? Oh wow?
Speaker 3 (31:47):
The question says Azy's career high in points this season.
Speaker 2 (31:55):
No, because because it's just this season. I know it.
Speaker 3 (31:59):
Ever thirty four A that's crazy? Uh?
Speaker 2 (32:10):
Thirty seven? Em yeah, thirty two? Oh man, thirty four?
Did get thirty four points? You even wait, wouldn't.
Speaker 3 (32:25):
February twelve five versus Saint John's that was last year?
Speaker 2 (32:32):
Mm hmmm, huh, I forgot about that. All right, what's next?
Speaker 1 (32:40):
I'm feeling good about this one. Let's do the Yukon
Cinematic Universe for two hundred.
Speaker 3 (32:47):
This former Husky is the only WNBA player to win
championships in three different decades.
Speaker 2 (32:56):
I'm not helping, is it? Do super.
Speaker 3 (33:04):
Not?
Speaker 2 (33:04):
Pick one? Pick one? Pick one?
Speaker 3 (33:07):
Is that your final answer? Okay, I'm gonna go with Sue. Okay, okay,
two hundred points or dollars. I'm gonna go foot around
and find out for four hundred. Oh my gosh, okay
ass free throw percentage this season?
Speaker 2 (33:29):
Good thing?
Speaker 3 (33:30):
Didn't see a layup percentage? One hundred person? Did you
miss a free throw?
Speaker 2 (33:35):
I don't know. Is that your final answer? Yes, that's
my final answer. Yes, Grace. If lay percentage is on here,
we're gonna have you.
Speaker 3 (33:48):
Yeah. God, that's different. But I mean your three is
in the fifties is like fifty four. I'm like, come on,
all right.
Speaker 2 (33:54):
You can't undefeated four hundred. The Huskies have had this
many undefeated seasons to date. That's tough. Five.
Speaker 3 (34:07):
I'm gonna take again and say you're saying five or six.
I'm saying three.
Speaker 2 (34:12):
Three, I'm gonna say five six. Uh oh not both wrong?
Speaker 3 (34:19):
No, No, she don't get half, she gets their role.
Speaker 2 (34:25):
Final answer was five.
Speaker 3 (34:28):
I'm gonna do the Yukon Cinematic Universe for four hundred.
This former Husky was the first female basketball player assigned
to Jordan Brand in twenty eleven.
Speaker 2 (34:39):
Maya Moore. Yeah that was an easy one.
Speaker 1 (34:46):
Oh, I didn't know what year. Oh suck Yukon Cinematic
Universe for one thousand.
Speaker 3 (34:54):
Oh, big money. This former Husky has a longer wingspan
than Lebron.
Speaker 2 (35:02):
That's easy. And if you get you get a guess.
And I'm guessing Bringingna Stewart.
Speaker 3 (35:09):
Yes, yeah, I'm winning now, okay, winner? All right, put
around and find out a thousand asy is this percent
away from having a fifty to fifty one hundred split
on three point field goals and free throws? Oh? What
(35:32):
percent away? It's the field goes that. I don't know layups, this.
Speaker 2 (35:39):
Is a field goes this? This is updated.
Speaker 3 (35:44):
I need I need to make sure the facts are
being checked.
Speaker 2 (35:48):
Azy is this percent away?
Speaker 3 (35:51):
Like?
Speaker 2 (35:52):
Four percent? Is it worse than a girl?
Speaker 3 (35:54):
What is it?
Speaker 2 (35:54):
Given?
Speaker 3 (35:55):
Like?
Speaker 2 (35:59):
Okay? There it is? Oh I should have played time ouse.
This is crazy. It says zero point four percent? Oh wow, girl,
you talking about this? Hold on time out? Did y'all
get can at the last game? Wait? So what is
(36:20):
below my normal field goal percentage? R?
Speaker 3 (36:24):
Right, let's look this up and see. Oh my gosh,
that's amazing.
Speaker 2 (36:30):
How's that in passing? That's so good? Me ac field
goal percentage? Okay, what's next? Do you call cinematic universe
for eight hundred? Please? Oh? I'm supposed.
Speaker 3 (36:44):
After being rejected as a youth from the former AAU
team in Jefferson City, this former Husky parent started their
own team.
Speaker 2 (36:53):
Nefisa, I feel like, where's where's Mac? You cheating?
Speaker 3 (37:00):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (37:00):
My goodness? All right, Nafisa Collier. That is correct. Okay.
Speaker 3 (37:08):
Yukon undefeated six hundred as the winningest college basketball coach,
Gino is currently sitting at this many wins. Mm hmm,
that's hard. Grace, I was gonna say, how would I
know this? I know, but I forget how many? Like?
Speaker 2 (37:27):
How many games do we play?
Speaker 3 (37:28):
Since we celebrated that last year, it's like around I
would say about plus thirty.
Speaker 2 (37:35):
Okay, okay, what's your guest? I have no clue. I
don't know. That's that's that's my final answer. That's the number.
How many wins? Yeah? Uh, thousand and thirty? Isn't it
(37:59):
in the eleven hundreds?
Speaker 3 (38:01):
Is it?
Speaker 2 (38:03):
I thought? I don't know. I have no clue. My
final answer is.
Speaker 3 (38:08):
How many games has Gina get?
Speaker 2 (38:13):
I phone a friend?
Speaker 3 (38:14):
One?
Speaker 2 (38:15):
One thousand? What do I call it? Forma?
Speaker 3 (38:18):
Okay, So I feel like I should get partial since
it's not accurate. He's won over twelve hundred games. That's
what I'm going with.
Speaker 2 (38:25):
I'm gonna say eleven sixty two. I'm going with twelve thirty.
Oh oh wait, what how many?
Speaker 3 (38:34):
Wait?
Speaker 2 (38:36):
Twelve fifty nine? Was it? Oh? That was the number?
I thought it was a thousand. I said, over twelve hundred.
Speaker 1 (38:43):
So did we already do the Yukon Cinematic Universe for
six hundred?
Speaker 2 (38:48):
Can I do that one? Please?
Speaker 3 (38:50):
This former Husky holds the record for the most basketball
gold medals in Olympic history, winning six consecutive gold medals.
Diana Tarros, I think that is correct, yes, DT, I
like that category. Did we do futtter around and find
out eight hundred? All right, let's see what we got.
(39:13):
I'm getting smoked. Sorry, I need this good luck. This
is crazy. In twenty nineteen, Azy hit this many threes
in eighteen minutes.
Speaker 2 (39:25):
It was a lot.
Speaker 3 (39:27):
It was a lot. It goes a high number. Okay,
and this isn't a game. No, no, this doesn't work out.
Speaker 2 (39:35):
Oh see, you.
Speaker 3 (39:37):
Gotta be more specific. Okay, this many threes in eighteen
that's a long time. Eighteen minutes just shooting threes. Oh
my goodness, what is it over one hundred?
Speaker 2 (39:54):
Maybe?
Speaker 3 (39:56):
Oh come on, yes, okay, three, I don't remember the number.
Speaker 2 (40:04):
Okay, so I'm gonna go two hundred and nineteen.
Speaker 3 (40:12):
Woo wow, wow wow.
Speaker 2 (40:17):
I didn't have faith.
Speaker 3 (40:18):
I just said two fifty. The answer is two hundred
and sixty eight. Geez, girl, I also two hundred and
sixty nine. I gotta get on my Azy trivia. The
fans gonna start talking about me. I'm not a true fan.
Speaker 2 (40:32):
I don't know anything from either of these categories.
Speaker 3 (40:36):
That's why you've been staying on that side, Huey. I'm
onto the duck side.
Speaker 2 (40:40):
Can I do? Yukon? Undefeated for a thousand? The Huskies
also owned the longest winning streak in regular season games
in college history with this many consecutive regular season wins.
Hold on, hold on, please please hold Somebody played the
(41:01):
Jeopardy music six seven. That's what you're going with. No, No,
I can't tell if it's gonna be more or less.
You pick a numbers. Okay, I'm gonna seventy two.
Speaker 3 (41:19):
I'm going with one hundred. I feel like I should
because I'm closer. It's one hundred and twenty six. Oh no,
I don't get any points. But okay, like wasn't correctly there?
Six hundred, fund around and find out coming in clutch.
Speaker 2 (41:40):
This is easy.
Speaker 3 (41:41):
Career high points in the fourth quarter career high Dang,
it was specific to this season.
Speaker 2 (41:49):
I'm locked in.
Speaker 3 (41:52):
I'm gonna say twenty plus the four quarter. Okay, fifteen,
since I mean I don't know, you don't see, you
don't seem confident.
Speaker 2 (42:03):
That is what she put a question mark. Okay fifteen, twelve,
seventeen seventeen.
Speaker 3 (42:14):
I was closed like hikim, I just feel like I
got three hundred points just now, let's just go ahead
and add that grace.
Speaker 2 (42:24):
What's the last one defeated? Eight hundred? Please woo.
Speaker 3 (42:30):
Yukon's longest undefeated streak ended with a buzzer beater at
the end of overtime against this team Notre Dame. I'm
gonna say, Louisville miss It Wait that was miss Mississippi
State in twenty seventeen.
Speaker 2 (42:46):
Wait, who did a rique hit that buzzer beater?
Speaker 3 (42:49):
On? No, I'm talking about like what player or no,
like what team was that? I was gonna say, Then
she hit two like back to back or is that
another player not your Dame?
Speaker 2 (43:01):
No, that was her Mississippi State, And I think you
go on now, yeah it was Yukon for sure. Yeah
I knew. I knew it was Yukon. I thought you
were asking, Wait, so when did was this just a
different year? It was my two? Buther readers? That sucks?
Speaker 3 (43:22):
Yeah, USh, I think it was like the short point
guard is something hit the buzz reader Yukon?
Speaker 2 (43:27):
Well, is that all of our lost this game? That
was pretty bad at that? You did a girl? You
smoked me? You smoked me.
Speaker 3 (43:34):
Acy has six hundred points, don't we don't have to.
Speaker 2 (43:38):
Worry about that.
Speaker 3 (43:40):
Fourteen hundred points for me, that's what the producer is said.
Speaker 2 (43:45):
Hundred fourteen hundred points for me is what I heard
big loser today. Not really because every day I'm alive
kind of change that.
Speaker 3 (44:00):
There you go.
Speaker 2 (44:03):
Oh man, that was fun.
Speaker 1 (44:04):
