Speaker 1 (00:00):
When I hear numbers like they lost two thousand, five
hundred thousand, a million, I just assume ninety five percent
they got cheated. And then that person who got you says, look,
you don't have to pay. Look, just let me throw
some games in your name. You bring some people here.

Speaker 2 (00:16):

The pleasure you have to worry about is if they
can make an extra two hundred thousand doing I'm dumb, then.

Try what it's like to be in the zone.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
I'm like Michael short Another, I'm doing dunks. I I just.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
Yay, I was trying to master tone.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
All right, welcome to games with names Today we are
looking at the fifty four point game Wizards versus the
Suns in two thousand and six with Gilbert arenas Gilbert?
What do I call you? Gil Gilly, Gilly Gilly? In
one sentence, why this game revenge?

Speaker 4 (02:37):
This was a revenge game for me.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
Maybe the best answer for that question history of the show,
the history of the show for revenge.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
Is this the greatest game of all time?

Speaker 4 (02:47):
For me? Yes? For you?

Speaker 2 (02:49):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (02:50):
What's the greatest game of all time?

Speaker 2 (02:51):
Not?

Speaker 4 (02:51):
For you? If I wanted to.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Childhood, it would be Kobe's last game, Kobe's last game,
how he finished as a basketball fan like loving just
endings Jordan's last Chicago game where yeah, like you tall,
this is the this is it right? The shots like

(03:15):
it just it was the perfect story for him, Like
if you're going to be the goat, that's you can't
write it up any other way.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
He's the goat. Yeah, not Lebron.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
No, I mean I got beat up too much for
when I was little for my shoes. Got jack a bunch,
So it has to be him.

Speaker 4 (03:34):
It has to like that wasn't too much pain for
it your zoom.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
So no one beating anyone up for Lebron shoes.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
No, No, you can get his online. Back then you
had to go to the store for you go to.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
The store and wait.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
People don't realize that was like a real commodity. Jordan's
were commodities back then.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
Bro still are. Yeah, people don't realize that it it
changed the shoe drop. So shoes was to drop on
a Tuesday when the store open. Well, Tuesday is what
nutrition for middle school, high school reditching to go get
the new JS. So you got a bunch of kids
getting robbed.

Speaker 4 (04:13):
You know, we called them.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
We call them the true Trujant Jordan's if you're truant
true true true. Not a word guy, football guy, not
a word guy. So what are you doing these days
right now?

Speaker 4 (04:29):
Podcasting?

Speaker 2 (04:30):
What's your podcast?

Speaker 1 (04:31):
Uh? Got gils Arena, gils Arena battle mode right, and
just launched the football show grid Ion one of your guys.

Speaker 4 (04:40):
Yeah, Skip, incognito. We got a nice little group.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
I love Ritchie too. Richie's crazy.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
We got a Jay Gruten Jay.

Speaker 4 (04:51):
You got a grooten to.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
It's like the Avengers. I like this.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
You know it's all about you know, it's all about
in that great cast that can just bounce off each other.

Speaker 3 (05:02):
Who's your favorite on the cast? You click up with
the most for football?

Speaker 1 (05:08):
A keep basketball? Probably Nick Young because we you know,
we play together.

Speaker 3 (05:15):
Who's who's like your least favorite or someone that you
like to combat.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
I don't have a I don't have a least favorite.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
The combator would be on the basketball or that'd be
Rashot Right, He's the guy that no matter what you say,
he's going to be opposite, no matter how wrong he won.

Speaker 4 (05:33):
Football.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
We haven't figured that out yet, right, But obviously to
probably be Skip because skip is he's going to stand
on his business cowboys.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
He loves the cowboys.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
He loves them.

Speaker 4 (05:44):
He loves them.

Speaker 3 (05:45):
And he used to love Tom Brady until he became
an owner. Now he's going against him, which is weird, right,
it's crazy.

Speaker 1 (05:52):
Because I asked him. He wants Tom Brady to be
the Tom Brady he fell in love with. He don't
like this corporate Tom. He wants that your your brain
is so brilliant, say it, don't don't conform to them.
And that's what he don't like. He don't like to
being conformed to just be regular. You're not regular, you're Tom. Right,

(06:16):
he's not gonna like Jordan either. You know he's a
Jordan fan, but how he sees Jordan red here, he's
not gonna like that.

Speaker 3 (06:22):
Like, is this this is not the guys You're never
supposed to meet your heroes, That's what they say, unless
it's a guy Fieri, unless won't be disappointed.

Speaker 4 (06:32):
I ain't.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
Yeah, Now, what's the best informant lunch you've ever had?

Speaker 4 (06:39):
Reality?

Speaker 1 (06:40):
I've never had one that I've never actually had one, So,
which is is so weird? Man, that someone who's gonna
sinitch They don't tell you you're gonna snitch. They just
do it like I'm saying it because I get the
troll Like, I just like troll it. But I didn't
think people were gonna take it serious. I was just like,

(07:01):
it's you know, the six I got the jersey the
six Man, which he was a ghost doing things behind
the scene, and then I got the lunch so you
can see.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
It's allo, yes, yes, I love that movie back in
the day.

Speaker 4 (07:14):
Yep.

Speaker 3 (07:14):
So the brother dies and he comes back and helps him,
all right, you know.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
That.

Speaker 3 (07:20):
I mean, how crazy is this whole basketball thing?

Speaker 4 (07:24):
People don't know?

Speaker 1 (07:25):
Like this started two years ago with you know, two
NBA players, one had a bookie, and I just don't
understand the logic of some of the things. Someone does.
You know, you average four or five six, and you're

(07:45):
gonna bet against yourself doing worse. Why Like if I'm
if the line is this, give me get twenty, I
can ball hog. I can do that, but to go
in get hurt. But the problem is this, no one,
no one's, no one's checking for you guys, right, No
one's going to Vegas and say let me put some
money on that guy. Right, It's always the stars or

(08:07):
so you know, you see something that happened and it's
like fifty grand of bets on this person.

Speaker 4 (08:15):
That's a red flag all the time.

Speaker 1 (08:17):
So you get red flagged and then one decides, I'm
scared for my life. He tells on his bookie the
Arrest of Bookie. Now, what does a bookie have?

Speaker 3 (08:28):
He got a bunch of books with a bunch of names.

Speaker 4 (08:31):
Yeah, and that's what's coming out of the names.

Speaker 3 (08:35):
Now do the NBA, because in the NFL, when we're rookies,
we have the Rookie Symposium every week after like there
once a week, all the rookies always have to meet
and do like a rookie class at the end of
the day, and they would inform us about money, girls, budgeting, gambling.

(08:58):
We used to have a guy Mike Franz Sisa. He
was in that actual Good Fellas. He's one of the
characters was based off of him, and he would come
talk to our team every year like, look, Fellas, this
is what they do, this is how they do they
do that in the NBA, No, they don't. They don't
educate these kids.

Speaker 1 (09:14):
No, and and even if they did, you're talking about
a bunch of kids at eighteen, nineteen and twenty and
everything you just said that them sounds exciting. Yeah, the girls, yes,
give it to know, but you gotta talk to him
about it.

Speaker 4 (09:29):
I know, but you got to talk to them.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
It's like, yeah, like they're bringing the problem is like
they're smart.

Speaker 4 (09:34):
I'm bringing the gambler here.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
You have to bring a superstar that has about fifty
kids that he can show it. Look, look in my life,
does it look like I'm happy all the childs support
out and paid? Like, here's my here's my debts. Ha Right,
I made two hundred million. I have a bank account
of forty thousand.

Speaker 4 (09:54):
There you go. You don't want to be me.

Speaker 3 (09:56):
We will look at it like, yeah, see the NFL
does that. They do that at that symposium. They'd have
guys like Chris Carter that would come up and talk about,
you know, the problems he had off the field, you know.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
Getting they had a bunch of like getting a fall
guy guy.

Speaker 3 (10:11):
He told us to get a fall guy whise Whise.
But like I think that's like I specifically remember talking
about with our team the dangers of sports gambling. Now
everyone that's trying to jump on the whole this is
happening because gamblings in sports. This has been happening forever

(10:34):
there was a freaking they would they fixed the World
Series back in like eighteen thirty two, and then they've
had the points in this and call it this shit
happens all the time. But like it's just I don't
know the problem.

Speaker 4 (10:47):
The problem.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
What it is is one you do not know who's who, right,
So what ends up happening is you get compromised. Like
you know, most athletes, you know, they they gamble, they're competitive, right,
so if they're playing poker do it.

Speaker 4 (11:05):
They don't want to lose.

Speaker 1 (11:07):
So sometimes usually when I hear numbers like they lost
two hundred thousand, five hundred thousand a million, I just
assumed ninety five percent they got cheated. So anytime I
ever played at a home game, I'm looking at.

Speaker 4 (11:23):
Who's working together.

Speaker 1 (11:25):
That's that's I don't I'm not looking at I'm just
looking who's playing.

Speaker 3 (11:28):
Who's not playing home playing home games?

Speaker 1 (11:30):
I started, I played when I first started, that's all
I knew home games. And then I'm sitting there looking like, yeah,
so what do you do for a living? What do
you do? What do you do? Like you guys are
betting money, like that's that you are Jeff bezos, Like
it doesn't like block, I'm not even gonna look at
my cars.

Speaker 4 (11:47):
Ten grand.

Speaker 6 (11:49):
M.

Speaker 4 (11:50):
This doesn't make sense.

Speaker 1 (11:51):
You don't you're up keep, don't look rich like you
know what I mean, It just doesn't. There's nothing.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
But they're playing like they So I'm like, who you like,
who's backing you?

Speaker 1 (12:01):
Who's this? So once I start peeping that out, I
was like, I'll just go to the casino. And then
so what happens is you get compromised because you lost,
you got cheated, and then that person who got you says, look,
you don't have to pay.

Speaker 4 (12:14):
Look, just let me throw some games in your name.

Speaker 1 (12:17):
You bring some people here, you invite them, you know,
you bring somebody, they lose, I'll give you fifty. Man,
that happens. Now you don't realize that's the mob, that's
the mom and now you are hooked because they got you,
they got you, they got everything. And then that's how
it always starts. Man, It's not like I just volunteer, Hey, can.

Speaker 4 (12:37):
I work with you? But I just want you to
ruin my life. Yeah, I want.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
An extra twenty thousand, Like now they get compromised losing
and then they do that. I don't even worry about it.
They just do this and a couple of the'se here
and there and we'll pay you. It just sounds like
a great idea and not realizing.

Speaker 3 (12:54):
Yeah, I think they just bad on the NBA. I
think that if you're telling me that they don't educate
these fucking young kids, which especially in your sport, or
even younger than ours. We're twenty two. The lowest you
could be in the NFL is twenty years old. There's
guys that are like seventeen, eighteen, nineteen in this league,
and you're not helping these young kids. That's shame on
the NBA.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
Those are the ones you don't have to worry about.
You have to always worry about.

Speaker 4 (13:19):
Never.

Speaker 1 (13:19):
You don't have to worry about the superstar. Right, it's
a superstar. I'm averaging thirty. You're not gonna convince me
to go in in game for three minutes? Like yeah, rights, right,
I like one, I'm averaging thirty. I need to get
to thirty five to catch him. I'm not gonna do that.
So you don't have to worry about those players. The

(13:40):
players you have to worry about is who get enough
time anywhere from five to twelve minutes where they don't
care about you know, their little four or five points. Right,
So if you if they can make an extra two
hundred thousand doing something dumb, they'll try it.

Speaker 2 (14:00):
Like middle class that's like reached their ceiling, but like.

Speaker 1 (14:02):
Not yeah, you know, like it's not it's like.

Speaker 4 (14:07):
Middle class, right, it's.

Speaker 1 (14:08):
Enough to you're gonna get subbed in to get like
it's those guys.

Speaker 4 (14:11):
Yeah, right, that's the guys that.

Speaker 1 (14:13):
You're you're you know, there's no books that actually got
their name, so that means they need a bookie so
that book you can give them a line making up ship.

Speaker 7 (14:26):
Yeah like Porter last year like Porter last year on
uh Toronto?

Speaker 2 (14:30):
Yeah, same thing, like who's who's who's checking for you
in Vegas?

Speaker 1 (14:34):
Bro, nobody's gonna put fifty thousand on.

Speaker 4 (14:36):
You in total?

Speaker 2 (14:38):
You said flag, is there like a way to like
combat that from like the gambling side, like don't put
you can't hit the under on those like middle class
like type of people.

Speaker 4 (14:47):
Like it's only That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
So they don't have really lines for these right, you
don't have you don't really have a line.

Speaker 4 (14:53):
There's no line for Brianni James to get in or.

Speaker 1 (14:56):
Get out, right, there's there's it's just not so you
know when that happens, it's flagged. Yeah, it's it's trust me,
it's flagged. Right, So they see it in real time
because it's coming in. It's it's coming in in real time.
Like so you start seeing like, wait, wait, ten million,
twenty million, what's going on here?

Speaker 4 (15:15):
Hold on?

Speaker 1 (15:16):
And then like if it because so they're gonna look
at the game when it happens.

Speaker 4 (15:19):
They're gonna be like, yeah, it's it's it's voided out.

Speaker 3 (15:23):
You really hope that the leagues learn from this, because
I don't think this is from the gambling. This ain't
the gambling world. This is on the leagues having to
prepare these young guys and fucking giving them the information
and putting the dude like they're they're gonna make an
example out of this, and it should scare everyone straight

(15:43):
because you can't be having that it's it's it's especially
these guys are making now, these kids are gonna be
making money since they were fifteen years old on the nil.

Speaker 4 (15:51):
Yeah, you know, the funny thing is it's it's it's
the whole.

Speaker 1 (15:57):
Like I don't want to say Trump, but it's the
idea of getting corruption out of America.

Speaker 4 (16:05):
Right now, you're talking about the mob, right, so.

Speaker 2 (16:10):
It's the last time we talked about them.

Speaker 4 (16:11):
But I never go too And that's the and that's
the thing like you're talking about.

Speaker 3 (16:16):
I just had a conversation with like I was like, man,
it's so hard to be like literally, like three months ago,
I was like, you think about it. I was watching
like good Fellows or something. I was like, you got
to be too. You can't even you can't even be
a criminal. Now, it's too hard to be a criminal.
And then this happens. They're still around and you're sitting
there like who who and who?

Speaker 1 (16:33):
What's what?

Speaker 8 (16:34):
What what?

Speaker 2 (16:34):
Because they don't have any jobs, right, they can't get just.

Speaker 4 (16:37):
So this is this is how it is.

Speaker 1 (16:39):
So you're using you're using sports and you know, so
get them out, clean it up. And that's so if
I got to use you famous peoples to push this narrative,
everybody starts fleeing out.

Speaker 4 (16:52):
Here we go. Man, Yeah, hopefully, as I said, this
is this is all mob.

Speaker 1 (16:57):
But all you see is some point name yes, So
the biggest names you've heard is probably the ones that
they came out.

Speaker 4 (17:04):
That's the biggest ones. You're caught.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
I don't flash his headline. You just to splash his headline.
Other than that, they'll probably drop a name here and
there to say he was there, he was watching.

Speaker 8 (17:15):
Do that.

Speaker 1 (17:15):
But I don't see any other There'd be some college
names that come through from these these books.

Speaker 4 (17:21):
But they did exactly what they needed to do.

Speaker 2 (17:25):
The one thing out of this is that I think
they should put Pete Rose in the Hall of Fame
for baseball, just like all this gambling shit that's going on,
all this stuff, like he only for his team, he
did his time heroes.

Speaker 1 (17:36):
Wait, that's that's illegal.

Speaker 4 (17:39):
Yeah, I mean in the.

Speaker 2 (17:39):
Sense I thought the idea was the mentality is still
competitive sports.

Speaker 4 (17:45):
I thought the idea was, don't compromise the game.

Speaker 3 (17:50):
Yeah, but Pete Rose is the primate example why there
shouldn't be shit going on right now. Of course they
literally he was like the best baseball player when he retired,
and he's was. No, they kicked him out until he's
still on in he didn't need that.

Speaker 2 (18:05):
He's dead and he's dead man.

Speaker 1 (18:07):
No, It is very hypocritical. Yeah, I'm like, yo, I
want to go score fifty. That's what I'm trying to
win the game. I'm trying to go and defeated. Like
it's a great thing to.

Speaker 2 (18:16):
Like, Yeah, I believe in us.

Speaker 4 (18:19):
Yeah are you are you?

Speaker 3 (18:20):
Are you tapped in on other sports? Because of your show,
I'm tapping into football a lot more. Yeah, have you
always been in football?

Speaker 1 (18:28):
Just I just players here and there, and I can
tell you that it's it's like golf talk like Jared
golf talk. Just golf Like no, no, just golf Like
it's a it's a higher it's a higher level of
thinking and a conversation.

Speaker 4 (18:45):
Right.

Speaker 1 (18:45):
This is not just you know, talk basketball and you'd
be like, oh yeah, you can just look at percentages
when you're talking football. You actually have to know what
you're talking about, and you have to study because you
have offensive conversation, you have the quarterback, you have the
old line, and you have the defense, and you have
the receivers. It's just there's just so many different perspectives

(19:07):
that if you just thinking you're about to go in
there and say something, then this this this defense side
of comes in here, like.

Speaker 4 (19:14):
Uh oh, that's not in a rundown. Where did you
get that from? Right?

Speaker 1 (19:19):
So it's like, I see how like ESPN and first
take and all of them get by because you only
allow them to talk for thirty seconds. Yea, yeah, good
for you, Good for you. They start talking for fifteen
to twenty minutes. Yeah you're you and your producer done.

Speaker 2 (19:36):
Done ze, You're done.

Speaker 8 (19:37):
No.

Speaker 3 (19:38):
The strategy in football is so crazy. It's crazy to
hear that coming from a basketball guy, because you know,
you could sit I don't know basketball, but you sit
and watch there's only five guys. On five guys, there's
probably like seven plays that you can really run yep.
And it's just breaking down like you said, percentages when
you and it's a flowing game, so you know what
I mean? With football, it stops start every time, and

(19:59):
every time it stops start, it's a different situation that's
coached differently on both sides of the ball, which it's
fucking sucks to have to like break down football.

Speaker 1 (20:10):
It was like if my first and tend played and
you got if it's two and nine, it's what we're
gonna do. If it's two and three, we're going to
do this, and who else to remember all of what
like it's just like this so much information going on
in real time, and it's like, okay, I don't.

Speaker 3 (20:25):
People don't know you gotta be smart to play football.

Speaker 2 (20:27):
Yes, it's it's not.

Speaker 3 (20:28):
You can't just And that's where a lot of the
guys that are really good athletes they don't cut out
because of the mental side of the game.

Speaker 2 (20:39):
You know, is it like that in basketball at all?

Speaker 4 (20:42):
Early two thousands.

Speaker 1 (20:43):
I can't talk about the nineties style, but early two thousands,
if you wasn't smart and understood just basic basketball, no
matter how gifted you were, you couldn't get on it.
You couldn't get on the court. Right do you like
think about playing and was it a Chris Reverer Vladi
de Vos Paysia. You have Mike baby, that is a smart,

(21:07):
intelligent group right back door? Read okay, he's pushing up
back door. He has a little limp. Let's keep attacking
that side, right you You had those type of people like.

Speaker 4 (21:16):
The Jason kids.

Speaker 1 (21:17):
It's all sitting here thinking to Kobe Bryants, like you
know what I mean, Like here come to you, you
waste the file, stop a breaking. He'll look at you like, yeah,
that was a dumb foul, right, you gotta guard me? Right, yeah,
you need all six of those and you just wasted
one on that. Now you're speaking like, oh should I
just wasted a foul on that?

Speaker 4 (21:34):
And I gotta guard him?

Speaker 1 (21:35):
Like you know, now it's a think he's making today's game.
Make it simple, five out passing cut. You don't have
to remember any place, let alone draw a play on
this side and then the coaches like, oh shit, the
balls on that side.

Speaker 4 (21:49):
Just flip it and he's a flip it flip like
you literally lose.

Speaker 1 (22:02):
At least eighty five percent, eighty five percent of the
players if you draw a play up in the timeout
and then just flip the play, just say aa flip
it eighty five percent be like wait wait what the
like just the comprehension level, you know what.

Speaker 3 (22:23):
That I would say some of the guys in the
league with if you just said flip it and you
didn't install it, it could be a tongue twister.

Speaker 1 (22:30):
It was like, okay, on this side, I go here, here,
I go to that side, I go here here. They'd
be like, oh do I go here?

Speaker 4 (22:36):
A out of bounds?

Speaker 3 (22:37):
Like oh, just now, just how about Wemby, though, is
he going to be like the Is he the next one?

Speaker 1 (22:45):
Yeah, as long as he is he the next one.
As long as he can stay healthy, he is the
next one. Like all the attributes are there, the gift,
the skills, the IQ obviously, the advantage of the height,
the shot that like he was bred to be doing.

Speaker 2 (22:59):
What he's doing and got good attitude.

Speaker 1 (23:02):
And he's a great he has a great attitude, Like
he's a humble person. He's French, you know, right, you know,
so they're all kind and stuff. So you know French.

Speaker 2 (23:12):
The French are super arrogant, aren't.

Speaker 4 (23:13):
Right, That's the old French.

Speaker 1 (23:15):
So as long as he stays healthy, he is going
to be Defensive Player of the Year MVP.

Speaker 2 (23:29):
He probably should be the only person to do the
quadruple double, the quadruple double.

Speaker 4 (23:37):
Ten blocks ten like he assists, rebounds.

Speaker 2 (23:41):
And scorings that he will be the next person to
do it.

Speaker 1 (23:45):
I think David Robinson did it in the eighties.

Speaker 2 (23:48):
Maybe Elijah Alvin Robertson was a king or David last one,
So the last one I believe was David Rumson nineteen
ninety four.

Speaker 4 (23:58):
Okay, okay, so yeah.

Speaker 1 (23:59):
He be no.

Speaker 3 (24:02):
When's the last time we've had an American m v P.
It's been like eight years technic.

Speaker 2 (24:10):
Technically, like technically we could say last year with Shae.

Speaker 1 (24:16):
Yeah, he's from Canada. That's just like the that's the
American hat American.

Speaker 2 (24:21):
Yeah, you know, American.

Speaker 3 (24:24):
Who's our next game?

Speaker 4 (24:27):
No, like he's he's.

Speaker 1 (24:30):
No true, But like sh Shaye was trained, he was
trained here growing up. Same thing with Steve Nash. The
two guards were actually trained in America growing up. So okay,
I get it.

Speaker 3 (24:42):
If this is Chappelle and we're trading eminem for.

Speaker 4 (24:54):
We're gonna.

Speaker 3 (24:57):
Who's the next US and VP? Who's the next one?

Speaker 2 (25:02):
Is it flag?

Speaker 3 (25:03):
Who else is on the radar? Is it Anthony?

Speaker 4 (25:06):
Give it to j Anthony? Anthony?

Speaker 1 (25:07):
Anthony Edwards is the closest thing we have that's young
enough that has that game to do it. I mean,
you had j T until he got hurt. Wild Card?
Is Jah Morant the style the play?

Speaker 3 (25:22):
Yeah, but they're not even in the like really like
they're not even in the combo right now yet. And
I'm not a basketball and I'm not I'm not tapped in.
I just watched the highlight Polo Benchero, Paulo Benchero.

Speaker 4 (25:35):
Pollow is the probably the only one who.

Speaker 3 (25:40):
Like, what are all the kids in in Chicago, New York,
in Cali, wherever the best ballers come from? What are
what are we doing right now? We ain't got nobody?

Speaker 2 (25:50):
No, no, no, no, We're we're we're still dominating.

Speaker 4 (25:53):
Are you killing it?

Speaker 6 (25:54):
No?

Speaker 1 (25:54):
No, no no, We're still dominant over the field, right
we are now. It's always been there, but we no
one really paid attention. If you go back to like
the eighties and stuff, the European big men, they were
always skilled. They were always skilled. Right, you're talking about
to Vlade, you're talking about sabone.

Speaker 2 (26:13):
Bonus, right, So what they had was guard like skills.

Speaker 4 (26:19):
Right.

Speaker 1 (26:19):
So with the bonus, he was a great pastor. He
can dribble, but by the time we got him, he
was old.

Speaker 2 (26:23):
We had old man, right.

Speaker 1 (26:25):
So you're talking about Tony Koukoach, Right, you're talking about
what did Vladi do?

Speaker 4 (26:28):
Vlatti had vision.

Speaker 1 (26:30):
So every every big that came in here kind of
stood above everybody else.

Speaker 4 (26:40):
They just adapted.

Speaker 1 (26:41):
More so when you look at all the Europeans that's
dominating here, they're all bigs, right, Lucas Lucas six nine
and a half six ten, right, he's a small Ford,
but they put him at the guard big advantage. Right.
Other than that, Janni's Yo kic right, embiid Right, Rudy
Goldbert like everyone at Yeah, he's but he's Canada. He's

(27:06):
a Canadian.

Speaker 4 (27:06):
But think about it.

Speaker 1 (27:08):
The two MVPs that were guards, that's not from here.
They're both Canadian that training trained here. Right, It's not
like the foreigner, which the only one.

Speaker 4 (27:19):
Will be VP would be Luca. Right.

Speaker 2 (27:22):
So what happens over there is at that youth age,
everyone's guards.

Speaker 4 (27:29):
So everyone do everything.

Speaker 1 (27:32):
So all my big So we're not going to say, okay,
you're bigger than everybody else, you're going to play center
for us.

Speaker 4 (27:37):
They don't believe in that. That's what we do.

Speaker 1 (27:39):
That's the problem with us is our Cooper Flags and
our who would have like our who else is tall here?

Speaker 4 (27:50):
So Cooper Flags or even.

Speaker 1 (27:53):
Like Apaulo bencherod Ad once they get to a certain
height in developmental age, that team it says, no, you're gonna.

Speaker 2 (28:02):
Be a big right versus we're all seven eight nine.

Speaker 1 (28:07):
We're all guards. We got to get the ball of
the court, and that's what they do.

Speaker 4 (28:10):
They're there.

Speaker 1 (28:10):
They just train everybody, make sure you have skill, dribbling,
pass and everything. So if you do go up to
a big you are a yokic. You're not just these
brute guys.

Speaker 4 (28:19):
You're yokic.

Speaker 3 (28:20):
You have Basically you're telling me we're never having an
MVP again, a.

Speaker 2 (28:24):
Real specialization too early.

Speaker 4 (28:26):
It's not even special.

Speaker 1 (28:26):
It's because we care about money and we want to win.
We if we have an advantage. Right, So, if we're
eight years old and we have a kid that is
already bigger or stronger than everybody, you're automatically the center.

Speaker 4 (28:42):
Even if your parents are both six foot.

Speaker 1 (28:46):
Now you got a center that's gonna all be a
five to ten when he grows up.

Speaker 2 (28:51):
That's what usually has same now versus in the future.

Speaker 1 (28:54):
I think about somebody like, so, who's a couple right
now Bam and Asia?

Speaker 4 (29:01):
Right?

Speaker 1 (29:01):
Oh, I forgot about that they have a kid at
eight or nine years old? How tall will that kid be?
He's gonna be big. So now that kid on any
a AAU team is automatic center.

Speaker 2 (29:14):
Your center. You can get all the rebounds, you can
do all.

Speaker 3 (29:17):
That, and that becomes a pub What about reverse engineering.

Speaker 1 (29:20):
They don't do it well.

Speaker 3 (29:22):
He becomes the center, he gets physical, and then once
he then then we teach him how to you know, dribble.
Then he's Lebron's and he's like Lebron, but it's too
where's our next, Lebron?

Speaker 4 (29:33):
It's too late, Lebron.

Speaker 7 (29:35):
It's so ingrained in all American sports cultures, like you're
the fat kid, you're the catcher.

Speaker 2 (29:39):
In baseball, like like I was a great catcher, but
I'm just saying, like that was a great tackle too.
I'm just saying it to look at the movies, bro.

Speaker 1 (29:50):
And when they see something, right, that just is a
game shifter. If you don't have an I for it,
it's just you don't capital lies on shifting the game.

Speaker 4 (30:02):
Right.

Speaker 1 (30:02):
And then there's always these talents that come in that
are so different and they try to put him in
the box. So like I guess right now, they'll say
what Travis Hunter? Yeah right, they don't know what to
do with him, so they're like, just pick one which
receiver or no, just let it, let it go, Let's
see what it is. Right, There's there's a there's a

(30:25):
game that's out there that you say, hey, play every snap.

Speaker 2 (30:31):
We got to see what we got to see what
you're capable of. We're telling you you can't do it.

Speaker 1 (30:37):
We don't know what you can do.

Speaker 2 (30:40):
Give me every snap, let's see if you can do
it or not.

Speaker 4 (30:44):
Let's just go right.

Speaker 1 (30:45):
And they're gonna say, well, he has to learn to
plays here or here. Hey, it's just like your quarterback
gets hurt and you got to put somebody else in.

Speaker 4 (30:55):
Figure it out. Just go out there and figure it out.

Speaker 1 (30:58):
And that's what it's because football is so technical, you
don't want to just just go out there and just
wing it.

Speaker 4 (31:08):
Right.

Speaker 3 (31:08):
Basketball, you can't wing it with a third overall pick.

Speaker 4 (31:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (31:11):
In football, there's a game out there, if it's the
last game, you're not making it to the playoffs, and
you just say, hey, go do you they see how
superman you are your capabilities.

Speaker 3 (31:24):
You can't do that in football. There's too much, like
like you said, there's too much preparation for the strategy.
Even in a game like just what you can't with
one person. You could say, hey, all right, you're gonna
take this guy the whole game. Yeah, and if you
bastardize all the other rules, or you could put in
a package where you know on third down you're gonna
have this you know you're gonna have this guy, and

(31:45):
then on in the red area and third down on offense,
you're gonna have these five plays. I mean, that's but
that's how you have to do it. He can't just
go like, uh, let's just put him in an offense
right now because he doesn't know the play for which
you know what I mean, there's just so much stuff
you have to prepare for and he's learned, like you
got to be able to digest the installation for offense
and defense.

Speaker 2 (32:05):
I did it.

Speaker 3 (32:06):
I played both ways in the in the ANFC Championship.
Like it's tough. You can't unless you're a dude like
you're saying, where you just say, hey, you stick on
him all game and then.

Speaker 4 (32:17):
Get open, get open on offense, stop them on defense.
Like like sometimes sometimes just.

Speaker 1 (32:26):
Like in the NBA, have you ever noticed Austin Reeves,
no Lebron, no Luca just go one.

Speaker 4 (32:36):
That's it. But you know what I mean, forget the playbook,
just go out there and just play. Let me let
me see what because sometimes you.

Speaker 3 (32:42):
Know what they I think they say that to Spencer
Rattler with the Saints to just go, just go, just go.
We don't need to have a playbook or anything.

Speaker 1 (32:49):
Just go.

Speaker 2 (32:50):
See get his head tagging off, like what is football?

Speaker 4 (32:54):
You know what what happens? And I just what boggles
me in football is this.

Speaker 1 (32:59):
You have this masterful chess game, right, and then it's
like three to six whole game and then two minutes left,
oh yeah, four touchdowns Like come on, wheels fall off.

Speaker 9 (33:15):
The rest of the game.

Speaker 1 (33:16):
That's what you're supposed to be doing, is like, because
two minutes left, you're not thinking as much.

Speaker 3 (33:22):
Or guys are tired, so guy or things become open,
so it's it's harder to stop the run for a
whole game.

Speaker 4 (33:29):
Like the whole game.

Speaker 3 (33:30):
This guy has to two gap and he can't mess
up one time and he's done it for three quarters
where he read it right one and that one time
he doesn't say Kwong goes for sixty you know it's
in or in you know the defensive line. At the
end of the game, these jokers get tired, so then
the quarterback gets some time to throw and then he
could pick apart and go downfield. The dB maybe got

(33:52):
a little tired.

Speaker 4 (33:53):
You know.

Speaker 2 (33:54):
Bit on like that.

Speaker 3 (33:55):
That's why football, that's why at the back end of
the games, the better team that's better or in shape
always comes out and wins.

Speaker 7 (34:02):
Meanwhile, I'm jumping for joy because I had the over
and I thought my book's gonna come kill me because.

Speaker 2 (34:08):
I'm yeah, yeah, yeah, Well I was gonna say, they
get the buzz from the league office.

Speaker 1 (34:13):
Ratings are going down.

Speaker 4 (34:14):
Yeah, either way, whatever you gotta do.

Speaker 3 (34:18):
Roj All right, points, We'll be right back after this
quick break. Let's go back into time where the game
took place. This game took place December twenty second, two
thousand and six, and let's see what some of the
pop culture was. We did have you on and we
did talk this year, but I don't really remember as
much as I do now. Irreplaceable by Beyonce was number

(34:40):
one great song. Night at the Museum, Number one movie
in the box office, Ben Stiller's Little The Exhibits that
Came to life Missouri.

Speaker 2 (34:50):
They have a franchise of that. Are a lot of them?
Nin at Museum two, Yeah, the second one. I never
saw that one. Is there a museum you'd want to
go to overnight?

Speaker 3 (34:58):
But are you a museum? They caught the lover people
that they caught him.

Speaker 2 (35:05):
They caught them.

Speaker 3 (35:06):
They made two rests, the two guys that have the
did they find this? I don't know if they found
the jewelry, but you know you heard about this right,
you know the Loover. Someone went in like a week
ago and stole Caesar's Napoleon Napoleon's jewelry something and his
crown got away. Scott Free jokers are trying to leave

(35:30):
from Paris International Airport like yesterday and got them.

Speaker 2 (35:34):
And they did it broad daylight, like the museum was open.
They like took like like ran through, smashed and grabbed
a bunch of stuff.

Speaker 3 (35:41):
I macula ice like Robert smashing.

Speaker 1 (35:46):
Well.

Speaker 2 (35:46):
I think they had some hotel. The Louver also, I
found out doesn't have as much security cameras as you
would hope, like not every room has cameras in it.
So I was literally just in there a couple of
months ago that like main room is like the like
the fancy like it's were like the Pollyon stuff and
the jewels and all the ship and they like picked
two things, smashed it open, grabbed it, went out the
scissor lists and dipped. People were like public and they

(36:08):
just got them. People were like some people saw it.
I think like it was not just like in the
middle of the night. It was just nine am.

Speaker 4 (36:16):
That's cool. It was simple just go in there, smash
and grab.

Speaker 10 (36:19):
No, they had intel, but I think once they were
in they smashed it and they knew when the cameras
were off and certain like this was this was a
pretty good heist.

Speaker 1 (36:29):
My problem is this when you okay, you grab it.
Let's that's embarrassing for the place though.

Speaker 2 (36:35):
And it was speculation that because like the historical component
of what they stole was more valuable than the actual
like raw materials that they were speculating. It was like
a private buyer who gave them a ton of money
and just wanted them themselves as supposed to take it out,
hrip out the jewels, melt down the gold and sell
it that way. Okay, Yeah, we should do a movie

(36:56):
where night the Hall of Fame and you like spend
the night in the Hall of Fame in the NFL
wakes up and you gotta like fight dick buckets. We're
doing basketball.

Speaker 3 (37:07):
Springfield, Ohio. Yeah, I went to this was that porn
porn fame.

Speaker 1 (37:13):
I'm sure there is I started, sure, like I'd rather
I'd rather be there than for fighting football players.

Speaker 2 (37:20):
Ron turned to get out of here, wake it up.
Just to be honest, I like that.

Speaker 4 (37:25):
He'll take me with you.

Speaker 2 (37:25):
Bro. Pause.

Speaker 7 (37:27):
Oh my god.

Speaker 2 (37:27):
You a movie guy?

Speaker 4 (37:29):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (37:29):
What's your favorite movie?

Speaker 4 (37:30):
Anything?

Speaker 2 (37:31):
Denzel Nice? I'm a Denzel guy.

Speaker 8 (37:35):
You know.

Speaker 2 (37:35):
I just watched that was insane.

Speaker 3 (37:37):
I love it and I can never turn it and
I watch it probably like once every six months. Inside man,
I love I love a Denzel every six months. I
love that movie.

Speaker 4 (37:48):
I don't know why.

Speaker 3 (37:48):
I like Denzel as like like a detective that like
cool detective that has hot babe at home, lets him
do his job and he comes back. She takes care
of him, like of.

Speaker 4 (38:01):
Man on fire Man on fire Man on fire Junk.
I like Anthony Hopkins.

Speaker 2 (38:06):
Too, really good.

Speaker 3 (38:09):
What's that one where he he kills his wife fracture? Fracture.
That's a fucking great movie. That is a great, great movie.
And then what he and all the cannibals right, huh, he's.

Speaker 4 (38:25):
Animal can.

Speaker 7 (38:27):
So everybody was coming at Denzel for this new highest
to Lowers.

Speaker 4 (38:29):
I liked it.

Speaker 2 (38:30):
I thought it was good the New Spike. I watched
it it was a little hard.

Speaker 4 (38:33):
It was yes, right, it was.

Speaker 3 (38:36):
I love him and it's a Spike Lee joint.

Speaker 6 (38:39):
I go.

Speaker 2 (38:39):
I went in with high hopes.

Speaker 4 (38:42):
Them too. You went in with high hopes.

Speaker 7 (38:43):
I know it's been a minute since I teamed up,
but like I don't know, I still.

Speaker 2 (38:47):
We want Spike Lee and the shape trying to get him.
It was a great movie. We love Spike.

Speaker 4 (38:53):
Like you're thinking, like, yeah, youven dropped the nine.

Speaker 7 (38:57):
You're like h Then everybody went over.

Speaker 2 (39:00):
It was come on, it wasn't. It wasn't.

Speaker 4 (39:03):
It was it was solid.

Speaker 3 (39:04):
Speaking of m v P s, this is when it
all started. Dirk Noavinski Newinsky the German took down the
m v P. The Spurs won the championship, Anheim Ducks
won the Stanley Cup.

Speaker 2 (39:19):
Sydney City Kid the kid, what are you are you
a hockey guy?

Speaker 4 (39:23):
I was old skin, so I knew.

Speaker 2 (39:25):
I knew Crosbies because they were wow, like.

Speaker 4 (39:33):
Yeah, he's great. Now you're talking.

Speaker 1 (39:35):
About like rock star like type of vibe. Like it
was like like this is like that, like I don't
care about nothing, just let's let's let's go score goals.
Let's just go get hammered. At the ball type of
like he was hockey guys, so he used to train basketball. Cool,
so both of his parents was basketball, so he used
to be down. That's crazy.

Speaker 3 (39:58):
You know the the hockey guys there always sneaky, really athletic,
like you remember that sneaky You remember that.

Speaker 4 (40:05):
You wouldn't think they were because.

Speaker 3 (40:08):
Because but there is that old footage of the sprint
off with who was it?

Speaker 2 (40:15):
Who else?

Speaker 4 (40:16):
Oh it was old.

Speaker 3 (40:17):
There was there was five athletes from five different was
there it was a basketball player and Gretzky smoked them
all sugar.

Speaker 2 (40:29):
A sugar Ray Leonard and then Gretzky.

Speaker 3 (40:34):
Yeah, they did like a football guy. I don't see
basketball guy. Football guy would have roasted them or basketball dude.
Those guys have long strides, bro, and if they get going,
it's like fucking new same bowl you're talking about. Wressell
Westbrook would be a fucking elite sprinter now if he
like trained for it.

Speaker 4 (40:52):
He has that.

Speaker 1 (40:54):
Lebron would be a two hundred runner. He would be
a track downer if he was a hundred. So he
can't top out at that hundred because he probably has
that slow start. Yeah, take too much to move his
first two steps, but that two hundred.

Speaker 2 (41:08):
Who's your who's your four by one?

Speaker 1 (41:09):
In basketball, I'll go with I'll do the Aaron Fox,
Aaron Fox, the Aaron who else is out there?

Speaker 4 (41:17):
That's like jets, Jets.

Speaker 2 (41:22):
I'll give you mine. Just let you think all time.

Speaker 4 (41:26):
I'll go.

Speaker 3 (41:27):
We'll start it, but probably prime time, well prime rime
leap fast. Then we probably give it to Bo. Let
him grind through that second turn and Bo Jackson, the
motherfucker was fast. And then uh, then I got for
my third, my third leg, I'm gonna give it to

(41:48):
old Darryl Green joker four four until he was fifty fifty.
And then lastly, you gotta go Tyreek Hill right at
the end. YEP, that's a that's an elite. There's a
couple of guys that were in the Olympics that that
were Olympics guys that were playing football, like Jeff Demps
when he came to our team, he was on the
four by one.

Speaker 4 (42:08):
But I wasn't a t O.

Speaker 3 (42:11):
T o's fast too. I mean t O that that'd
be like a four by four, My four by four team,
t O's on there. Randy oh ship, I didn't even
put Randy on there.

Speaker 9 (42:21):
Man.

Speaker 2 (42:22):
Wasn't Bob Hayes in the Olympics too?

Speaker 5 (42:24):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (42:25):
Baby, who's that that sprinter?

Speaker 4 (42:29):
Best?

Speaker 2 (42:29):
Didn't he he was nice? Wasn't he like a cow?

Speaker 4 (42:32):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (42:32):
Wasn't he like he was fast? I don't know if
he was. I mean, I might be basketball for I
don't know.

Speaker 4 (42:39):
I'll go me, I go me. Are you fat? Yeah?
You fat?

Speaker 3 (42:45):
Run?

Speaker 4 (42:45):
I ran a ten three in high school. Ten three?
You're spoking? So I was.

Speaker 10 (42:49):
I was.

Speaker 1 (42:50):
I was tracked first. So I did the one hundred
four by one. I was an anchor. Then I did
four hundred and four by four where I went to
Birmingham High School and then and I transferred for basketball
to Grant And then the ninety six Olympics, there was
a kid by the name of Obie Moore who was
like the god. He was our Michael Jordan in the

(43:10):
four hundred and he went to the Olympics. It was
Michael Michael Johnson's gold choose that year. He came in
like six or something, and I was like, oh, what
did you see him?

Speaker 4 (43:20):
That was great? Right? So what happens to that?

Speaker 1 (43:22):
It's like, yeah, four more years and then the next
Olympic and I'm like four more years like what being
broke o HeLa And I ran my last race and
I quit and I was like, I'm good, I'm just
gonna try this basketball stuff.

Speaker 4 (43:41):
I quit track on this and then just like I'm
fully investigated, only.

Speaker 3 (43:46):
Ten three ten threes flying at eighteen.

Speaker 4 (43:49):
Yeah, So I went to I went to I was sixteen.
I went to So.

Speaker 2 (43:54):
I went to a track school.

Speaker 1 (43:56):
So Ray Caruth, his uncle was our track coach then,
so he was our track coach and most of the athletes,
all his sprinters were straight like straight line to usc Okay.
So it was we It was a track school like
we was on like a when I was there was

(44:16):
like a seventy two track meet windspree like they lost
in forever.

Speaker 9 (44:24):
He got game with Denzel Okay, you didn't like he
got I liked it. But for basketball, yeah, I was
a great one.

Speaker 2 (44:35):
What other events did you do for track and fe
It was just it was just.

Speaker 1 (44:38):
Those two they wanted me to do like long jump
and high jump, but I didn't because I wasn't thinking
basketball yet like that, Like now, if I can rewind,
I would have been doing those.

Speaker 4 (44:49):
I would have took away to four hundred to.

Speaker 3 (44:51):
Do long jump and high jump any other sports.

Speaker 4 (44:54):
I was football, football, Yeah, I was. I was. It
was this thing call like just a selfish quarterback.

Speaker 2 (45:04):
Yeah right. It was around and then you take off
and throw.

Speaker 1 (45:08):
It was just yeah and the athlete quarterbacks. It was
never like passage like you gotta remember this pop water.
So most of the kids couldn't catch right. So it's
like just the best athlete, your quarterback and just run right,
throw to yourself if you could running quarterback that I

(45:28):
got his helmet knocked off, and I woke up a
basketball player.

Speaker 3 (45:32):
Smart move money and they tore money less pain.

Speaker 1 (45:37):
They warned me too. It was like, hey, we're playing
against the Eagles. Do not quarterback sneak. They have a
hitter over there. You know, you see the little guy
had a little Filipino black guy.

Speaker 3 (45:51):
What is that?

Speaker 1 (45:52):
Who is that young got right under I literally woke
up in the car as the basketball player.

Speaker 4 (46:02):
Yeah, I quit. This guy name was this Jean.

Speaker 1 (46:06):
Lee and it was it was so funny it was
his name was His name was Djon Lee. Right, I'm
a soft I'm a sophomore in high school. I'm fully
basketball and playing North Hollywood High School. And you know
they call us first, and they ain't not getting warmed right. First,
I already see this like this little guy right, he

(46:26):
looks all about five seven, five eight, putting his head
on the like hitting the backboard with his head.

Speaker 4 (46:32):
Duncan because they abudy like, ooh, so you look like
Jesus Christ.

Speaker 1 (46:36):
Right, and then like you know, all you hear is
they're calling out the starting lineup and the last name
I heard was man that guard senior guard This Jean
Lee what sean? So you had like walk up to
him like, hey, uh, did you used to play football?
He was like, yeah, did you play for the Eagles?

Speaker 4 (46:57):
Yeah? How do you know?

Speaker 1 (46:59):
You knocked helmet? All this is before the jump ball.
This is the conversation. I'm happy scared that could you
having reflexing?

Speaker 2 (47:07):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (47:08):
Yeah yeah he can w hoop too, yeah, may jump.

Speaker 2 (47:11):
Yeah he has a menace, like this is my sport.

Speaker 4 (47:13):
You can't hit me.

Speaker 1 (47:15):
It's fole.

Speaker 4 (47:17):
He leven on him forty on his head. Geez, who
is his first name?

Speaker 5 (47:23):
Jon?

Speaker 2 (47:24):
We have to look him up on the show.

Speaker 3 (47:26):
Talk about that game, Yeah, Jackie, let's get into the
game break down these all right, let's go through these.

Speaker 7 (47:30):
Suns real Quick sixty one and twenty one. This is
the Mike D'Antoni era. Get into that later. Uh, he
had his brother on the staff whole. Dan D'Antoni might
remember him from uh the Marshall days. He was leading
the Thundering Herd there for a while. Alvin Gentry and
other longtime NBA coaches on his staff. They had big
win streaks this year, a fifteen game win streak which
we'll talk about in a minute, and the seventeen game

(47:51):
or later on All Stars, Steve Nash, Amari Stodermeyers, Sean
Mary and this was Steve Nash. Like at the height
of Steve Nash coming off back to back MVP. They
were bawling and like all d'An tony teams, up tempo,
highest scoring average one to eleven a game, second in
the NBA. Uh, you got names on here. You also
got we talked Sean Marion, we talked Steve Nash, Yatamari,

(48:13):
you got Boris dil Raja Bell like either. There was
some Sons teams that were kind of considered finals contenders.

Speaker 1 (48:20):
I would say, do you know what names like stands out?

Speaker 2 (48:23):
Laying on me?

Speaker 4 (48:24):
Jalen Rose said, I was like, wait, like one and
this one.

Speaker 7 (48:31):
He's like the Forrest Gumbap getting points on your head.

Speaker 2 (48:34):
James Roy, I didn't even know.

Speaker 4 (48:37):
I didn't even know.

Speaker 7 (48:38):
I look back to when I did like a triple take.

Speaker 3 (48:41):
How do you sum up these sons in this era?

Speaker 1 (48:44):
Really they were the they were the ok s that
just didn't win the championship. It was a very it
was a very hard team to actually.

Speaker 2 (48:58):
Like Scout like. It's like they had every element right.

Speaker 1 (49:04):
You're talking about your pure point that had vision out
of this world, that wasn't fast but was quick enough
where he looked fast can shoot lights out right. People
forget that about it when I'm talking about he was
lights out shooter.

Speaker 4 (49:22):
Then you have.

Speaker 1 (49:25):
The Pick guy who literally was a demon child, right,
meaning if he got inside the paint, he was trying
to rip the rim off every single time.

Speaker 4 (49:36):
So you have that guy rolling right. So it's not
this finesse you know, we kinda you know we don't have.

Speaker 1 (49:44):
We got our an who don't want to get hit
and then he wants to roll get a little shot.

Speaker 3 (49:48):
No, No, you have someone who wants all contact, wants
to smoke.

Speaker 4 (49:52):
You have him, and then you have your three.

Speaker 1 (49:55):
Right, who's Sean Marion right, who's on the weak side,
who has probably the second fastest jump I've ever seen
or heard.

Speaker 2 (50:03):
So you have him who can jump dump like you.
So he's ducking in the back end.

Speaker 4 (50:09):
Right.

Speaker 1 (50:09):
Then you have Rajah Bell who is a defender. He's
a two guard but don't do like ISOs, but he's
a flat out shooter.

Speaker 4 (50:18):
Right.

Speaker 1 (50:18):
Then you have Boris di Al who is Steve Nash
without the jump shot, but likes the pad like he's that.

Speaker 4 (50:25):
He's that euro big right.

Speaker 1 (50:27):
So you have all these elements of guys on one
team which was sitting there like, we can't double anybody.
We can't go over because you have Amari, you can't
go under because he's gonna shoot. It was just a
weird makeup that was just perfect for Steve Nash. They
were always up tempo and they were just going so
obviously they they were in so much shape.

Speaker 2 (50:48):
It was ridiculous, high up tempo. I was just thinking,
Seawan Mary's jump.

Speaker 4 (50:53):
Shot, Yeah, you know, a little did that work?

Speaker 1 (50:55):
It's insane, just a little flap. It didn't get blocked
because he jumped high in everybody anyway, he had a
he had a jump shot like he was.

Speaker 4 (51:04):
Yeah, he jumped.

Speaker 2 (51:04):
He got off the floor yelling at me for that.

Speaker 4 (51:08):
You gotta jump.

Speaker 2 (51:09):
It's a jump shot basketball fundamental knowledge.

Speaker 3 (51:14):
How do you beat a team like this?

Speaker 2 (51:16):
You need someone who doesn't care about logic at this point.

Speaker 1 (51:21):
So the backstory here is it's it's the Olympic or
it's that feeble team. So Dan Tony and Mashewsky is
the coach. So I'm on a team. I'm there's only
three of us. There's only three two time All NBA players.
I'm one of them is Lebron.

Speaker 4 (51:40):
D Wade and me.

Speaker 1 (51:42):
Right, So you know I feel I feel comfortable with
this is I'm on this team, right. I understood that
I probably wouldn't start. The way the lineup was was like, okay,
Chris Paul to probably start, you know what I mean
that he's a betterfit for them. I come off the bench.
I'm rocketman, right, So I already called coach K told

(52:06):
him he listen, you know it's it's it's for the country.
I know, I understand. I've I grew up watching the Olympics,
So you know, I'm willing to do whatever it takes,
play defense, whatever you need me.

Speaker 5 (52:16):
To do.

Speaker 1 (52:17):
I'm that guy.

Speaker 4 (52:18):
I already talked to him.

Speaker 1 (52:19):
So you know the problem here was, now if you
go to that team, you you point out the starters
in like our top seven, which would have been like,
let's see Dwight Howard, right, I think Chris Bosh, maybe

(52:41):
Chris Bosh, and I think like Joe Johnson. Right, that's
on one team, and then I'm left with the other team. Right,
the bad news bears in a sentence where or something.

Speaker 4 (52:57):
Yeah, so we're scrimmaging.

Speaker 1 (52:58):
So our practice is so it's like I got Kirk Heinrich,
I got my Miller, I got Brad Miller, I have
Shane Battier, I have Bruce Bowen, right, I have Antoine Jamerson. Right,
that's my team. Right. So if you think about like
we're going against Lebron Carmelo d Wade, right, like we

(53:20):
can't keep up, right, So.

Speaker 4 (53:23):
It's all me. So they're basically feeding me the ball
to wreck shop against them. Right.

Speaker 1 (53:33):
So now you're talking about I have the ultra green.
So to me as a competitor, this would be the
best starting five I probably would ever see in my life, right,
Like I would never see a group of guys that
has to guard me and try to stop me like this.

Speaker 4 (53:54):
So to me, this was a test of where my
talent was.

Speaker 3 (53:58):
Wait, are we on the scrimmage right now?

Speaker 1 (54:01):
Or we're on the scrimmage, so we're this is practice
every day. So the practice every day for me was
basically seek out and destroy the rest of the team
was like, let's do this, so all picks, all passes, everybody.
It was like just feeding the balls like good. So
we were actually beating the team. They had to put

(54:21):
in rules like if you get a charge just two
points in my let's start doing shit like that. It
was just the weirdest shit. And I'm like, well, like
cause they're like the other teams ain't playing like that.

Speaker 4 (54:33):
It's like they don't want to shoot.

Speaker 1 (54:35):
They want to like we're over here celebrating our win,
tapping in because the makeup of the team was kind
of like it was really heavy and driving and no
flat out shooting, right, So we was I remember we
was playing at the Army base. We're practice for the
Army base and then I'm jumping the highest side we
got on army the army shit, but it's really really hot.

(55:00):
I'm like Michael Jordan out there, I'm doing dunks I
I just had no business doing. And I kind of
like pull a little growing and I'm like, oh man,
I hope it's not the growin injury that stopped me
like two years before. So you know, I go up
after I said, hey, you know, I don't know what's
something with my growing and I know we're making cuts,
and you know, I don't want to hold anybody's spot.

(55:22):
You know that could make this possible to make this
team because I don't know how serious this is. Colangelo
looked me dead in my face and said, yeah, you know, yeah,
you can go if you want. You know, you were
on the bubble anyway. Wait, first of all, I was
I was being nice by volunteering that you know, I
can sit if you're trying to make it. You were

(55:44):
supposed to say, you know what, don't worry about it,
just stay a little bit longer, you know.

Speaker 4 (55:49):
But the fact that you agreed with me, that's a problem.

Speaker 1 (55:53):
And you you know what I mean, You said I'm
on a bubble didn't make me turn around the bubble.

Speaker 4 (55:59):
What team is see looking at it? I don't see.

Speaker 1 (56:01):
I don't see no Kobe t mac Kevin Gartinet on
this team, right, Like most of these guys are benchwarmers
on their own team, let alone this team, right, I
know they're like friends and family discount here. So I
literally put like this. It was it was like from
here going to Vegas. For me, all I kept rewinding

(56:26):
was you're on the bubble and I'm just running through
like I had eighteen out of the twenty one points
here and I'm just like just sitting here just like
I'm on a bubble. Oh no, I'm on a bubble, right,
That's all I like. The I landed and I was
still thinking about what he said. I remember going to
Dave mcmanhimon and said because he was my ghostwriter for

(56:50):
my blog, and I told him, I said, I said,
I'm gonna drop fifty on Mike D'Antoni Nick McMillan because
I can't go back to college to drop sixty or
seventy on coach K.

Speaker 4 (57:09):
So I'm gonna take it out on this to fuck
his minions, right.

Speaker 1 (57:13):
And then also in there, I said, the way the
team is playing, the way they have the lineup, they're
not going to win gold, right.

Speaker 4 (57:22):
I said it.

Speaker 2 (57:23):
And then.

Speaker 1 (57:25):
It was like a day later and I thought about it.
I said, no, I don't want to be that that
that that guy, that that antiret. I don't want to
be that guy, right, So I called him, I said,
can you take out They're not going to win gold
Park just I don't want to be I don't know,
this has nothing to do with the team, and I
don't want to be.

Speaker 4 (57:42):
And then he took it out. And then I get
a call like early and he's like, yo, you were right.

Speaker 1 (57:48):
They lost. I was like ooh.

Speaker 4 (57:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (57:53):
And so basically what happens is the lead up to
this game. So I played the Blazers first, so everybody's
in attendance, right, and then everybody so you got the
people that I got fifty. Every time I score, they
change it changed it. I had a horrible go at it.
Let's just say that I airballed the game winner or

(58:14):
the game ty in bucket on a floater, right, So
I tried. I came in and did a floater and
I airballed the floater. I think the tire win the game.
So I remember getting killed. Everyone's laughing, talking trash. We
played Seattle the next day. I think I scored. I
don't think I scored fifty but I know I scored

(58:35):
high forties and I hit the game winner there and
then left my jersey in the middle of the court.
Basically Gilbert was here.

Speaker 4 (58:42):
Hell, yes, yeah, I did that. I did that against
them in Oregon.

Speaker 7 (58:45):
So that's so who is this mc millan.

Speaker 2 (58:48):
McMillan.

Speaker 4 (58:49):
McMillan was Blazers.

Speaker 1 (58:51):
And then so I failed against the Blazers, but then
I made up just what I was supposed to have
done the next game against them. So fast forward we
I score sixty against Kobe. Then I go down to
probably Denver. It's probably Denver because that was the game

(59:14):
that when someone asked me you ever felt cheated?

Speaker 4 (59:18):
I was like.

Speaker 1 (59:20):
Just one game in my life where I looked at
the refs and said, Yo, why are y'all cheating us?
Because they just traded everybody. They just traded everybody, so
there was no one there. We were supposed to come
in steamroll the shit out of them and nothing. I
was ten for thirty. I shot thirty shots, no free throws,
so they kept me off the free throw line. Just

(59:41):
just kept me off the free throw line. Earl Boykins
had all the free throws. I'm like, this is crazy.
So when someone about donnahe and I was like, I
don't know if he was on that game or not,
but he ended up being on the guests. Oh, he
was on the game, but I didn't think of it,
like I never like, I didn't know who he was.

Speaker 4 (59:57):
So then we go down to.

Speaker 2 (01:00:00):
We go down Sacramento. Huh, Sacramento was the next game.

Speaker 4 (01:00:03):
Sacramento was the next game, and then we go down
to Phoenix.

Speaker 1 (01:00:08):
It's gonna be televised. So I remember, I'm in the shooting,
I'm in the gym, and Bill Walton comes up to
me and it's like, listen, just have a decent game.
I'm gonna make sure that decent game looks like a miracle.
Everybody's expecting you to come out here and perform. I
was like, one thing you ain't gotta worry about is

(01:00:30):
what I'm about to.

Speaker 4 (01:00:31):
Do to them, right right. He was like, oh, good job.

Speaker 1 (01:00:35):
Yeah, because you know, I mean, the son we played
with the college together, so the rest of the players
on my team, they already knew the assignment.

Speaker 4 (01:00:44):
This ain't you all game. Just say, this ain't your game.

Speaker 1 (01:00:48):
This is not even about winning, okay, So let's just
let's just chalk this up as just.

Speaker 4 (01:00:53):
A revenge type of game.

Speaker 1 (01:00:55):
So I'm in a layup line, right, and dan Tony
did something then that just really triggered it. Just like
it's hard, he said, because you're on They're like on
the fifteen sixteen game winning street, so they're the hottest
team in the league.

Speaker 4 (01:01:10):
Right.

Speaker 1 (01:01:11):
He said, Hey, Renis, you're gonna need more than fifty
to beat us, And I said, oh, don't worry about that.
That I will have more than fifty to beat you.

Speaker 2 (01:01:23):
He had to, so he was he was referring to
he had that blog post in his mind.

Speaker 4 (01:01:29):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, everyone. I mean it's the TV game.
Everybody was talking about it.

Speaker 1 (01:01:32):
So he was like, you're gonna need more than You're
gonna need more than fifty to beat us, And I said,
don't worry, I got you.

Speaker 3 (01:01:37):
Which one of So who on the team is like
your hype man, there's gotta be one guy like you
hear him?

Speaker 1 (01:01:43):
It was DeShawn h DeShawn, Antonio Daniels, And then they
had Deshaun Stevenson shooting guard.

Speaker 2 (01:01:52):
You always have one.

Speaker 4 (01:01:53):
Antony got to have one. He's like, hey, you got him,
you got him?

Speaker 1 (01:01:57):
Yeah, you got it.

Speaker 7 (01:01:59):
So and the big three, The Big Three was cooking
you Karan James and like leading the league in scoring.

Speaker 4 (01:02:05):
For a trio.

Speaker 7 (01:02:06):
There, let's jump into these teams are falling. Man, Holy smokes,
I think Gill hit a bunch of the lead.

Speaker 2 (01:02:11):
Up for us real quick.

Speaker 7 (01:02:11):
We don't have to talk the Wizard's real quick. Forty
one season, third year making the playoffs. Kind of all
those years were kind of around five hundred getting in
the playoffs. But we talked about some of these these
awesome names you got, Karen Butler, Gil Brandon, Hayward, Antoine Jamison.

Speaker 2 (01:02:25):
This was this was a real fun era of the Wizards.

Speaker 4 (01:02:28):
Yeah, it was.

Speaker 2 (01:02:29):
It was we We were we were like the East
Coast version of them, oh right.

Speaker 1 (01:02:35):
And one thing that I had over them and which
made it like if I was on fire, they were
gonna have a hard time guarding me because the point guard,
Steve Nash was too small for me. So once I
get to going at him, they're gonna have to switch.
Which that's the point for me. I want I want
the best of my mind was this as an offensive player,

(01:02:57):
I want the best defender guarding me, because the defense
is not used to helping the best defender it's always
the other way, right, right, the worst offender gets to help.
So as long as I have Steve Nash on me,
you're gonna have Sean Marion over help. And you're gonna

(01:03:18):
have Rajah Bell over help. You're gonna have You're gonna
have this this secure blanket. So basically with Steve Nash
is more you know, uh, trying to post them up,
try to hit like little middies and then eventually they'll switch.
Then once they switch, I have Sean Marion on me,
which they're not gonna help. Well, unfortunate for him, he's
a little sloer, so I have the foot speed, so

(01:03:40):
he kind of gott Yeah, I gotta play this, heasy
go get them, make them back up. So I gotta
play this this this uh, I call it a snake
game with him. Same thing with Roger Bell. You one,
you're a little smaller than him, so when I decide
to pull up, I can shoot over you. So once
I got them too on me, then it's it's a
better game for me, just like you know the six

(01:04:02):
against Kobe. Once Kobe's on me, they're not helping, right,
you know, they're not helping. There is not designed to
help the best defenders.

Speaker 2 (01:04:12):
One on one game.

Speaker 7 (01:04:15):
Gill all day, every day maybe.

Speaker 1 (01:04:16):
And that's why that's why Luca when he does picks,
he wants the better defender.

Speaker 4 (01:04:22):
Come on, come on, Rudy. Yeah, yeah, no one's helping you.

Speaker 2 (01:04:25):
You got four you got four of them things and
no one's gonna help you.

Speaker 4 (01:04:28):
And he gets the torture.

Speaker 2 (01:04:29):
I never thought about that. His eyes like kind of
would do something similar on defense.

Speaker 3 (01:04:32):
Well, that's what Bill would do on defense. He would
put his second best corner on the best receiver that
he thought was on that team, and he would help
them out. And then the best corner is on the
the second best guy locked up by yourself. Yeah, no
help previous you have him all game, you follow him,

(01:04:53):
other guy follow will have him following the and we'll
do the cat and mouse game with him.

Speaker 1 (01:04:57):
Everything schemes.

Speaker 7 (01:05:00):
That like, I mean, it always seemed to work. It's
Tyreek hilling those guys. Yeah, smokes.

Speaker 2 (01:05:05):
What was the plain culture like on this team playing cards?

Speaker 1 (01:05:08):
You like.

Speaker 3 (01:05:11):
The team where we had the locker room incident.

Speaker 1 (01:05:13):
No, this wasn't that.

Speaker 3 (01:05:16):
So we used to talk about that too, like we
we we can't be bringing ship to the fucking facility.

Speaker 2 (01:05:23):
Fellas, we're not.

Speaker 4 (01:05:25):
Yeah, we didn't get that memo.

Speaker 8 (01:05:28):
Memo out there, Like, can we get a memo in
the n b A no, no, no, no one memo
no see gambling, guns everything.

Speaker 4 (01:05:40):
Can we eat a memo?

Speaker 6 (01:05:41):
No?

Speaker 1 (01:05:41):
We like, It's just our culture was a little different.
So you got to think about has nothing to do
with we want to be thugs.

Speaker 4 (01:05:50):
That's that's it's.

Speaker 1 (01:05:53):
We're we have the money and the jewelry, right, so
when we go out, right, this is before like like
having bodyguard. If you had a bodyguard, he was him
Yeah right that so even though I was the best
player on my team, Like having a bodyguard looks stupid,
right because that's only made for Alan Iverson Kobe.

Speaker 4 (01:06:15):
Shack Like you're not there yet. But you're not there yet, buddy,
Like you know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (01:06:22):
That is that how you grade on how someone is
in the league.

Speaker 1 (01:06:26):
Yeah, that's how you, buddy, Like when you when you
like and then if you have one, people be like, yeah,
he really is fooling himself, right, Like he's not on
that level yet.

Speaker 4 (01:06:37):
Bro, you got to wait a couple more years.

Speaker 1 (01:06:40):
So what happens is your own bodyguard is this yes,
you you So most people had guns, right, and he
usually used the locker room as the safe haven. So
basically how it traditionally went, you're coming from home, you

(01:07:01):
put it in. You put it in your your locker, right,
you put it in your locker, you drive.

Speaker 2 (01:07:08):
To the club, have fun at the club. From the club,
go to the locker, get it, go home, right, So
that's how that's that's how.

Speaker 1 (01:07:18):
It really was, you know what I mean a checkpoint.
The locker room was the checking point because we can
go in when no one's coming out and if we
come out where you know. So it was it was
really more about that, never really about I'm gonna use
it like it's like we're not going to shoot anybody, right,
but if we was there just in case anything happened,

(01:07:38):
I got one watch out.

Speaker 2 (01:07:40):
Was it was it was It was kind of more
of that.

Speaker 1 (01:07:41):
So it was it kind of was always there, like
our secret phones obviously, you know, money and jewelry. You know, you.

Speaker 2 (01:07:53):
Know, what's the most amount of phones you've ever had
on a single time?

Speaker 1 (01:07:57):
Me, I had this thing called it BlackBerry, and I
had BlackBerry Friends, right, which wasn't on a data plan
the BBM. Yeah, that's all I need.

Speaker 4 (01:08:10):
Yeah, that was good right there.

Speaker 7 (01:08:12):
Forty keyboard bro that was goded back in the day
all time.

Speaker 1 (01:08:16):
So my team wasn't a gambling team, right if you
look at the personalities, I'm the highest paid an Twine
and then Koran, Right, Koran didn't really gamble and Twine
didn't gamble, so it was just me. So who I'm
gambling with will be Andre Blotch, one year player, second round,
no money, right, Calvin bootha play you're in.

Speaker 3 (01:08:39):
The house and they just get to have whatever was.
You know, we were on the plane like we'd go
we would do it more, not on team planes, but
when we go to the derby and ship, you could
bet as much as you want against Tom.

Speaker 2 (01:08:52):
He was just a house. Oh yeah, no, no, no, yeah,
we're not doing like just the games was.

Speaker 3 (01:08:58):
Just there like ten bucks, all right, we got a
bit of am bet ten dollars ten dollar.

Speaker 4 (01:09:04):
Brooke boy Brook boy boy.

Speaker 1 (01:09:06):
But that's how it exactly was. It's like you're just
playing to just you know, pass the time. So you know,
most of our games was based off on these contracts, right,
you're talking about four undred thousandll so we're not a
big money game, Like we're not the ones that they're
trying to win your win houses and win car notes.
Tell no, Like we didn't have that kind of contract.

(01:09:27):
So our argument was over literally eleven hundred dollars.

Speaker 3 (01:09:31):
Now they weren't the highest paid. But to all the
players you played with, who's the greatest player you played with?

Speaker 4 (01:09:40):
The greatest?

Speaker 1 (01:09:42):
I would say Antoine Jamerson because we played years seeing
him make All Stars and stuff, like I did play
with Dawhight Howard, but it's for that half a season,
and it's that half a season. Then I think he
heard he ended up hurting his back and but we

(01:10:03):
finished the season. But it is the White, by the
name and by the skill set he was he was
turning into.

Speaker 4 (01:10:10):
But you know, just for years it was Antwine Jameson.

Speaker 3 (01:10:13):
I like that.

Speaker 4 (01:10:14):
I like that.

Speaker 2 (01:10:15):
That's a great answer.

Speaker 1 (01:10:15):
He yes, like Dwhite, like I seen a monster that
was coming. Like he if he never got hurt, he
was gonna be an MVP hands down. Like I remember
we're playing we're playing Miami. We're down I think eighteen
and a half and everybody's going back and forth, and

(01:10:36):
he was like, listen, it's not that hard. Turk Uguard.
Dwayne Wade let him through. I said, I'm gonna hit
him so hard he will he will just take jumpers
the rest of the night, and then Lebron is gonna
take jumpers the rest of the night. They're not gonna
come in here anymore. So then you can play aggressive
as you want and we're gonna win. This game opened

(01:10:59):
the door. Dwayne tried to come in, hit a wall boom,
Sure enough, all jump shots. We end up coming back
and winning.

Speaker 2 (01:11:08):
Damn.

Speaker 1 (01:11:09):
They were afraid, like people like they were afraid of
the white because he was so physical and he was
so athletic, so he had both elements like you like,
it wasn't just he was just athletic and he was physical,
so he.

Speaker 4 (01:11:26):
Wanted to hurt people.

Speaker 2 (01:11:27):
Played the size like we used to Malik Malika. What
was his name, Malik something, Malik Rose.

Speaker 4 (01:11:32):
We had a Malik on our team.

Speaker 2 (01:11:34):
Neighbors, it was something.

Speaker 1 (01:11:37):
We had a Malik something in Orlando, and you know
the mom what's the name blocks, it's plate blocks. Yeah,
he had to tape the pilates block on his chest
every practice, so they'll tape the plate's block because when
he spunk, when Dwight spun, he elbowed, and he said

(01:11:58):
every time before he was getting hurt to the point
where he couldn't breathe, and it was just so they
put they put the block there.

Speaker 7 (01:12:04):
And all, oh, man, I don't even know him.

Speaker 4 (01:12:07):
Yeah he's the Oh my god. He used to hate it,
like he just hated being on that that second year
of the team. Guard getting out of.

Speaker 7 (01:12:14):
Villanova was yeah, you don't get paid enough of this. Coincidentally,
that was his last year in the NBA.

Speaker 4 (01:12:19):
Yeah, I mean, I'm sure, guy.

Speaker 3 (01:12:22):
Good, we'll be right back after this quick break, Jackie.

Speaker 2 (01:12:27):
Yeah, that's wild.

Speaker 4 (01:12:28):
All right.

Speaker 7 (01:12:29):
We hit a bunch of lead up stuff here. It's
worth noting Phoenix was snowed in in Denver prior to
this for two days. Got into town day of the game,
came there.

Speaker 2 (01:12:40):
He had built.

Speaker 4 (01:12:43):
Don't worry.

Speaker 1 (01:12:43):
It was some heat ready for That's right, baby, And
that was about to you guys just had a back
to back.

Speaker 2 (01:12:48):
Dude, this is the second.

Speaker 7 (01:12:49):
Yeah, and it might be Christmas time and Gil wasn't
given out presents. He was giving out buckets. Yeah, baby,
coming into this one fifteen in a row for the Suns.
We talked about that nine to twelve though, whiz that
doesn't get talked about enough.

Speaker 2 (01:13:01):
They're on fire.

Speaker 7 (01:13:02):
It was an awesome West Coast road streak or world trip,
I should say. Gil talked about that a little bit
getting this thing going.

Speaker 2 (01:13:09):
Early.

Speaker 7 (01:13:09):
Phoenix did get out to a double digit lead, but
the Wizard's answer with a twenty to seven run got
up eleven there at the end of the first pushed
that lead out to eighteen.

Speaker 2 (01:13:18):
In the second. Gil was hooping, balling, filling it up.

Speaker 7 (01:13:22):
Had an awesome buzzer beat at the end of that
first quarter, pulled up from forty from the logo there,
which is just which.

Speaker 2 (01:13:27):
Is like a regular shot. No I know, but that
was one of those shots. It was crazy.

Speaker 7 (01:13:31):
It's like, ah shit, Gil's about to be on it tonight.
He's about to be on this thing tonight.

Speaker 3 (01:13:34):
Gilly, when'd you know I'm in the zone.

Speaker 4 (01:13:37):
In this game or in this game?

Speaker 6 (01:13:39):
Oh now, as soon as soon as I seen it
on a schedule, as soon as you as soon as
I see it on the schedule.

Speaker 2 (01:13:45):
It was just marketing.

Speaker 4 (01:13:46):
It was just you know, there's just some guys that
just bring it out of you.

Speaker 1 (01:13:50):
And I think if you asked Steven Ash who changed
your game and made you score. If you ever look
at our games, because I scored so much, he was
forced to match the energy. Right, I was not gonna
allow him to have those seventeen points because I'm gonna
come at you so much that you're forced to say no,

(01:14:11):
I'm fighting back. So I got to see the best
of his scoring. Like I used to play double, and
it's double. It's double. Like I don't play deeper. It's
like that's double.

Speaker 4 (01:14:21):
Like just trap them. I don't care if Marito has
fifty seven. That's not my problem. I got this is
my guy.

Speaker 11 (01:14:28):
I don't want him having forty two forty two. It
was because he was taking some shots. We're like, that
doesn't look like a typical Steve nashot. I mean he
was hitting though efficient tonight. Yeah, Steve went freaking fourteen
of twenty five, seven of fifteen from three.

Speaker 2 (01:14:42):
Who are you talking to on the court?

Speaker 4 (01:14:44):
Everyone?

Speaker 2 (01:14:45):
Everyone?

Speaker 11 (01:14:45):
Yeah, Well I was names or everyone got n nicknames.

Speaker 1 (01:14:50):
So I used to just like I don't know if
it's like that in football, but sometimes just noises and
sounds and ad libs.

Speaker 4 (01:14:58):
Yeah, people hate that. I don't know why.

Speaker 1 (01:15:04):
Literally you literally hate that and It's just weird how
a defensive player.

Speaker 4 (01:15:11):
Hates little things like how about you? Like what is
that rain drops?

Speaker 2 (01:15:20):
Like I can't feel my face like this, just like
it gets under their skin, Like I said, will Farrell
ass ship.

Speaker 1 (01:15:27):
Right like so I was like, I know Steph irritates
him like that little stuff. Oh my god, a defender
they do not like stuff like that. No, they like
they want you to score on them with class. It
would be classy and scorings.

Speaker 7 (01:15:44):
Are the coolest man.

Speaker 3 (01:15:46):
Now, when you're in this game, are you keeping an
eye on your score line?

Speaker 8 (01:15:49):
No?

Speaker 2 (01:15:51):
No, just feeling it?

Speaker 4 (01:15:52):
No, I got teammates to do that for me.

Speaker 7 (01:15:55):
Are you like a guy thrown hit or where you
don't want to know where? If they tell you, you're listening.

Speaker 1 (01:15:58):
Most of the Like if you start off a game right,
it's it's like you have like this this whereabout counts?

Speaker 4 (01:16:06):
Right?

Speaker 2 (01:16:06):
Got by eight of them?

Speaker 4 (01:16:08):
At some point you know you you scoring?

Speaker 1 (01:16:10):
You don't You don't remember then, Like once you see
a player like look up, like when he's on defense,
he'll look up.

Speaker 4 (01:16:16):
He's looking to see what he has.

Speaker 1 (01:16:18):
But sometimes you be in a zone and your teammates
will be like.

Speaker 4 (01:16:21):
Yo, wal more rebou trauble double.

Speaker 1 (01:16:24):
But like so you you hear things like that your
teammates to let you let you know that you're close
to something.

Speaker 3 (01:16:32):
Now it's getting epic duel with Nash. You guys are battling.
Are we over there giving looks or sounds to Dan
d'An TONI.

Speaker 1 (01:16:42):
Not necessarily, but yeah, like the King Kong Chess like
I did the King Kong Chess and stuff like that.
But it wasn't there like I wasn't you know, because
it was. It wasn't because it wasn't about him, like
he he didn't do anything right. It's just that I'm
just using him as the fuel to it, and because

(01:17:05):
he played into it and acknowledged like you're gonna need
more than It was just one of those things where
it was like you got my juices going.

Speaker 3 (01:17:14):
Now they you guys get up on them in the
fourth right, and then they come back, they come back.

Speaker 4 (01:17:19):
And they had it, they had a chance to win.
They missed it.

Speaker 1 (01:17:22):
So we we locked out.

Speaker 4 (01:17:23):
We we lucked out.

Speaker 1 (01:17:24):
Like it was really for a team who is as
good as them, they put themselves in a great position
to win the game.

Speaker 4 (01:17:32):
They had they had a chance.

Speaker 2 (01:17:33):
Tossed a couple of those buckets.

Speaker 7 (01:17:35):
Then that we locked out. We we locked out for sure.
That in one though tie it up was you Mary
huge finishing at the.

Speaker 1 (01:17:43):
Baby and y'all gotta remember that was the ball that
the NBA gave us for replacing the leather different color ball, No,
it was a different feel. So it was more like
that college feel sticky. So with me, I understood how

(01:18:04):
to use that ball. How right, So like there's like
dead spots, right and some ball like that. So like
a ball like that, no matter if it's wet, if
you throw it up on a backboard, it don't have
that ping ping right, it has that more soft dropping right,
So a lot of bank shots, a lot of hitting
around the rim, right, So as long as you get
it towards that area it had that, it has a

(01:18:27):
chance of winning. So how I had the angle, I
know my spin versus the leather ball where you have
to overspin it so it sticks on the rim then
goes if you try to spin that when it was
now you know it's like bowling ball, right, It's like
this ball was more of the it's a dry lane,

(01:18:49):
so if you over if you overspin, its gutter versus
the wet wind.

Speaker 4 (01:18:54):
If you get spin it a lot of it go
all the way and then.

Speaker 3 (01:18:57):
Avery nasty of bowling. I used to be very it
was like my thing, are you golfer two? I just
I just started and you're pretty good. I'm trash, yeah,
but you'll learn it.

Speaker 4 (01:19:10):
Look good though.

Speaker 3 (01:19:12):
Such a you guys that is that is a skill
like that, Like I'm that's gonna be the same as that.
I mean, it's all the same like with with golfing.
It's more time I'm on task.

Speaker 1 (01:19:22):
Think of it like okay, okay, sit go, keep your
head down, pour out the way, like I gotta really
like do all these check points to make sure if
I'm just out of about.

Speaker 3 (01:19:34):
When you're stop six years old, you're doing the same
off hand six you know what I mean, you're just
six years old in the golf game.

Speaker 1 (01:19:41):
But I'm good, But I just you know, I go
out there. I'm the best trash talker of course. Right,
I'm gonna I'm gonna entertain, I'm gonna get drunk. Right,
you're you're gonna win. I'm gonna try to cheat.

Speaker 4 (01:19:52):
We gotta golf, we gotta. I'm one of those like
you really have to watch it, like you really have
to watch me. I redrop ball, so I always keep.

Speaker 7 (01:19:59):
To balls in my pocket smart right away so I
know you're not looking like, oh yeah, right, use.

Speaker 4 (01:20:04):
The old foot wedge down there.

Speaker 1 (01:20:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:20:07):
We gotta golf.

Speaker 7 (01:20:07):
We love golfing on the off days. Man, you gotta
come with us.

Speaker 2 (01:20:09):
You gotta get you.

Speaker 1 (01:20:10):
Oh, I do the whole throw like like I'm in
a sand and you're not like looking. I'll literally throw
my ball and then like throw the thing. Oh shit,
who's your hair?

Speaker 2 (01:20:19):
Scoring bowling?

Speaker 4 (01:20:20):
Two seventy seven?

Speaker 2 (01:20:21):
It is my highest two seventy seven, not too shabby.

Speaker 3 (01:20:24):
Who is a mookie? MOOKI at three hundred? Oh yeah,
that's yok bowling or ball?

Speaker 7 (01:20:31):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:20:31):
Are you guys going to overtime twenty seven?

Speaker 4 (01:20:35):
All right?

Speaker 3 (01:20:35):
Are we sitting there thinking how many points you have
until you when you're in overtime?

Speaker 1 (01:20:40):
Well, I was in the thirties. You'll pass the fifty
in the forties, what like, yeah, forty something in the
forty eight.

Speaker 7 (01:20:47):
So in regulation ten in the fourth, fourteen in the third,
there's twenty four, yeah, twenty four and twenty four each
half or forty eight, so you have forty eight racing
consistent with it.

Speaker 4 (01:20:56):
Yes, oh yes. So going in overtime, I was actually like, yeah,
over time it because I get to break that fifty. Yeah,
because that was a thing.

Speaker 1 (01:21:04):
So there was this like Antoine Antoine Jamison had, you know,
he had back to back fifties when we was a
Gold State, when I was like a rookie. So there
was this there was this thing that I'm scared of fifty,
So I'm scared of fifty. So he was like, every
time you get close to the fifty, you can't get
the fifty. So when I had sixty, it didn't count

(01:21:24):
because it wasn't fifty. It wasn't fifty.

Speaker 4 (01:21:27):
So I was like, yeah, I did it. It's like, no,
you didn't have fifty. Where's your fifty at I was like,
I got sixty, that's not fifty.

Speaker 1 (01:21:33):
Fifty is fifty.

Speaker 4 (01:21:34):
And I was like what the fuck? So this game right?
And he was like, so we went overtime, Okay, I
gotta get to more.

Speaker 3 (01:21:44):
So you you hit fifty fifty, I know you hit
hit he had fifty four, but when you hit fifty,
did you?

Speaker 4 (01:21:50):
I was, oh my god, that monkey is on in
my back? Did you look at him. No, I mean
it was more than Antoine. I like, because I can
tell you this, that is.

Speaker 1 (01:22:02):
The most stressful when you're trying, when you when you
play so freely and you get into a number where
you have your eye on and you're like, that's when
you mess.

Speaker 4 (01:22:12):
Up the most. Like Luca.

Speaker 1 (01:22:13):
If you see in the Luca game, and he know
he needed two more points, miss a easy shot, miss
this layer, miss this free throw. That's what ends up
happening on the road to fifty because you're pressing for
it crazy.

Speaker 4 (01:22:25):
So I knew I had five four.

Speaker 1 (01:22:27):
Minutes to get the two points and you got it. Yeah,
I got it, and you get fifty four and you
guys win and we win. That's always the best, and
we win because someone like me, it's the goal. First,
then we won. When I scored sixty, I was.

Speaker 4 (01:22:46):
Like, I just scored sixty on Kobe Bryant. The coach
was like, and we want to I just scored sixty
on what That is the win? That's history.

Speaker 7 (01:23:00):
Oh scores fifty four banks in the game, icing three.

Speaker 3 (01:23:04):
Yep, icing three, right, has sixty the same week before,
has a forty burger as well.

Speaker 2 (01:23:13):
Give us the aftermath in the aftermath.

Speaker 7 (01:23:17):
I hate to report this, but Gil terrors and meniscus
late in the year would miss the rest of this one.

Speaker 4 (01:23:22):
That's the same year.

Speaker 7 (01:23:23):
Yeah, later in this year, I believe that was you
missed the playoffs. Yeah, I think right again, got swept
by Lebron.

Speaker 1 (01:23:30):
Yeah yeah, but okay, you're missing something though, where I
had fifty one after this?

Speaker 2 (01:23:35):
Oh bad? That was the infamous turnaround three where I
turned around on Utah. Oh yeah, it was like right
after January fifteenth.

Speaker 3 (01:23:45):
Yeah, you went fifty Burger a few.

Speaker 2 (01:23:46):
Times this year.

Speaker 4 (01:23:48):
Yeah, I was on. I was on.

Speaker 1 (01:23:50):
So now think about so the year before this, this
is where I got tapped by Lebron.

Speaker 4 (01:23:58):
And missed the free throws to win the game. That was. Yeah,
that was the playoffs the year before.

Speaker 1 (01:24:03):
So this year that terror came came the following year
where I was hitting all my game winners, hitting all
my ind the game shots, right fifty sixty to fifty four.
That was.

Speaker 4 (01:24:13):
That was the next year.

Speaker 3 (01:24:14):
Who's a joker?

Speaker 1 (01:24:14):
Li Old?

Speaker 7 (01:24:15):
Just like thirty five bucks? You were the landlord that game.

Speaker 4 (01:24:18):
Oh yeah, yeah, he got a new landlord. Now, yeah,
I mean you have another landlord because that's.

Speaker 7 (01:24:25):
Uh Yeah, that was Damon Jones, that same Jones I
was getting. I was getting him getting Larry Hughes confused, Sorry,
that was Larry.

Speaker 4 (01:24:31):
He helped me money too.

Speaker 3 (01:24:32):
So was it better dropping fifty four or shutting up
d'An tony? Did you see him after the game?

Speaker 6 (01:24:38):
No?

Speaker 7 (01:24:39):
Seen him since?

Speaker 8 (01:24:40):
No?

Speaker 2 (01:24:41):
Nice.

Speaker 1 (01:24:42):
I think scoring the fifty four on Dan Tony on
the team, that was all of it. It was just
a perfect It was perfect for me. They're on the
fifteen game winning streak. Nobody can beat him. You know,
Rambo two is coming through.

Speaker 2 (01:24:56):
Rambo.

Speaker 1 (01:24:58):
He don't supposed to win, but she you know, Rainbow
Two's coming in, gets the wind and then goes on
and they can.

Speaker 4 (01:25:05):
Then they I think they go back on the streak.

Speaker 2 (01:25:09):
Yeah, so you're keeping score at home, fifty four is
more than fifty. So in Washington beat Phoenix.

Speaker 1 (01:25:15):
And I own I still own the most points as
an opponent on that court. So I think I still
own three records on courts as an opponent for the
Lakers Staple Center, an opponent.

Speaker 4 (01:25:28):
Here, and then.

Speaker 1 (01:25:31):
Wizard fifty one tied it. Now, this is hilarious. Bradley
Built had fifty one and it was like nine minutes
left and he didn't score anymore. Wow wow.

Speaker 4 (01:25:42):
And me I was like, because I'm a brad you know,
I'm Bradley Built fan. Just not that day.

Speaker 2 (01:25:48):
He got the fifty one and I'm oh my god, no,
miss miss miss miss miss miss.

Speaker 4 (01:25:53):
Yeah, we survived.

Speaker 2 (01:25:56):
I love high score in the stadium. It's a fun one.
That's fun. You played a lot at Rising Center. Obviously
it's your home court. It's in Chinatown and Washington, d C.
What's the best like Chinese food in that area?

Speaker 4 (01:26:05):
I have no idea.

Speaker 1 (01:26:06):
Never never, I was so routine. When I got there,
it was like ghost town, right, there was new construction
and no stores really, so the way I went was
always like the back entrance, so back entrance three four
years back. They're just never veered off, same way, never changed, right.
And then when I got hurt, uh this so this'd

(01:26:30):
been like eight oh nine President Obama get hit by
the convoy, right, so I have to go different way.

Speaker 4 (01:26:41):
I literally didn't know what was going.

Speaker 1 (01:26:42):
On, Like I'm sitting here, like he happened here, Like
what this is downtown? This isn't a made They got
a movie theater, they got stores, like so they built
it up, and I never because I never went through
the front that street. I never knew that it was
just this beautiful place.

Speaker 7 (01:27:02):
Now this game, you'll finish third and scoring this season. Wow,
right behind Kobe and Lebron.

Speaker 1 (01:27:08):
So after getting hurt and missing, I think I almost
set a record here too.

Speaker 4 (01:27:13):
I think it was.

Speaker 1 (01:27:15):
So it is seven, right, it's six seven, Yeah, so
there's a So the record was three pointers and free throws.

Speaker 4 (01:27:22):
It was the most.

Speaker 1 (01:27:25):
Threes made in the season, like two o five with
a certain amount of free throw So I was the
only person in NBA.

Speaker 4 (01:27:31):
History to do it.

Speaker 2 (01:27:32):
Where'd you get this stunt? When James Harden did it,
he became the second person seven years later.

Speaker 3 (01:27:38):
I want to know your stat guy, you got good stats,
Like it was.

Speaker 1 (01:27:41):
Just something that came up. So basically, if he was
a three point shooter, he was a three point shooter.
When he was a free throw merchant, he was a
free throw merchant. And I was the first person to
do both at the same time.

Speaker 7 (01:27:50):
Yeah, I think it was two five two and five
made three pointers that year, so.

Speaker 1 (01:27:54):
Tied with Rajah Bell really and then how many? How
many free throws?

Speaker 2 (01:27:58):
And then free throws?

Speaker 1 (01:27:59):
It looks like, yeah, because there was something where I
could have been number one and free throws, taking May,
three pointers, taking may.

Speaker 4 (01:28:07):
Something like that.

Speaker 2 (01:28:08):
What's does stuff have those now?

Speaker 1 (01:28:10):
Or no?

Speaker 8 (01:28:10):
Is he not? No?

Speaker 4 (01:28:11):
You won't have free throws?

Speaker 2 (01:28:12):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:28:13):
No.

Speaker 7 (01:28:13):
In two thousand and six, two thousand and seven, it
said right behind Kobe average eight point seven free throw
makes a game, you averaged eight point two.

Speaker 2 (01:28:20):
Yeah, according to stat muse here.

Speaker 4 (01:28:21):
Yeah, so how many? But what was the total of it?

Speaker 7 (01:28:23):
I'm seeing seven to eighteen. That seems a little high.

Speaker 2 (01:28:26):
No, I mean, jee, that's what that's what's coming back
right now.

Speaker 3 (01:28:31):
Well, let's let's name the game, jack, you find that
stat more of the game. Is this the greatest game
of all time? Let's score decimals encourage. We came up
with these names. If you have a specific name for
this game, let us know. We had the fifty four piece.
We had Steve vers Gil. We had the Duel in
the Desert. We had Suck It, Suck It d'An toni.

(01:28:54):
We had Halbachi Knight.

Speaker 2 (01:28:56):
I think we went with the speed limit game. Last
game that was Gil sixty pieces off the top. That one.

Speaker 1 (01:29:04):
It was really that was the Massacre in the desert.
It's more like massacre in the desert because I came
in they knew. The best part is they knew I
was coming. That's that's that's what makes it. You know
I'm coming, and you got to stop me from doing
what I'm gonna do, and you.

Speaker 3 (01:29:18):
Still got the massacre in the desert.

Speaker 4 (01:29:22):
I love it.

Speaker 3 (01:29:23):
Let's score it is this the greatest game of all time. Decimals, encourage,
stakes of this regular regular season game, but a lot
of back history game zero to ten decimals and courage.

Speaker 4 (01:29:36):
Fifteen game win. You gotta put that up there.

Speaker 2 (01:29:39):
Absolutely the stakes of this game.

Speaker 1 (01:29:42):
The game wise, it was more of a three. Okay,
was we were just supposed to be just another loss.

Speaker 4 (01:29:48):
Yeah, but for me it was the ten for me.

Speaker 3 (01:29:51):
For youse to ten for me as the ten for me,
it's a five point one just because I mean we've
done Super Bowls, World Cups.

Speaker 2 (01:30:04):
I know it's tough.

Speaker 7 (01:30:05):
You know, I had a three point two regular season game.

Speaker 2 (01:30:08):
Maybe I don't know, I was hating the two point
zero said three.

Speaker 6 (01:30:12):
Yeah, it was like that's what said we were we
already scheduled this loss, right like you know you're going
to West Coast trip, and it's like we're going to
lose against the Lake, you know this and this and
so it was.

Speaker 4 (01:30:24):
It was a scheduled loss. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:30:26):
So the star power of this game zero to ten
decimals encouraged star power star power one you just one zero,
So zero to ten, how do you grade the star
power one A one?

Speaker 4 (01:30:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:30:45):
Just it's just I'm just I was the only star
on the on the court. But I can say Mari was.
Mari was getting into the like the star power. Like
Steve Nash wasn't a star, right, He's an all star,
but he was like when you're talking about.

Speaker 2 (01:31:00):
That next level, no bodyguard for you know what I mean?

Speaker 4 (01:31:03):
Body guard right, nobody, nobody, you know.

Speaker 2 (01:31:06):
So I was you know, you know, I wish you know,
I got a signature shoe.

Speaker 4 (01:31:10):
You know, I don't think they.

Speaker 1 (01:31:13):
Was.

Speaker 4 (01:31:13):
They was team guys. You know, you got all team
Nike guys.

Speaker 2 (01:31:17):
I like that put up one point zero.

Speaker 3 (01:31:18):
At one point zero, you know, I'm gonna go seven
point two.

Speaker 1 (01:31:23):
There were six other stars in that, but it was
someone in the stand.

Speaker 4 (01:31:26):
I mean, were there in the stands there.

Speaker 2 (01:31:28):
I think I saw Rihanna on the stand. Somebody to
show up that I didn't know wh what's the name
of the gorilla they have? Oh yeah their mascot. Yeah
he's a star man.

Speaker 4 (01:31:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:31:39):
So at some point seven.

Speaker 3 (01:31:42):
Now the game player of this game. Overtime was an
electric game back and forth.

Speaker 4 (01:31:46):
This is ten ten for me.

Speaker 3 (01:31:49):
For me, I love an overtime game. I'm gonna go
gameplay eight point four. We're all at eight point six,
eight point one. The name of the game, and we
score the name of the game, the Massacre in the Desert.
Also the cultural cultural impact. Everyone knew about this game, yea,
because we all knew the beef. Where's the beef?

Speaker 1 (01:32:12):
Where's the beef? We gotta give it a nine nine okay.

Speaker 3 (01:32:17):
Flat nine nine point zero. For me, I want to
go with the eight point two.

Speaker 2 (01:32:23):
Okay, a little high. What are you talking about?

Speaker 1 (01:32:26):
High?

Speaker 2 (01:32:27):
Seven point why massacres? Like you could do like mad
libs with Massacre in the Desert?

Speaker 1 (01:32:35):
What?

Speaker 4 (01:32:36):
What a what a beat down in the.

Speaker 2 (01:32:39):
What's score? And what is the match in the in
the on the list? So it is a six point
five nine that puts us I think it's gonna put
us in our second page. Six point five nine is
tied for our ninety fifth game with Arrowhead Awakening two
thousand and three, Week one, Lions versus Chief Chiefs right here,

(01:33:00):
which was.

Speaker 3 (01:33:01):
Argued that started the Lions to be the Lions.

Speaker 2 (01:33:03):
Yeah, when they beat they beat the Chiefs to start
the season. It's just below Miracle and Morgantown with Mike
Vick today nine week two against West Virginia and just
ahead of out the Club game twenty fourteen, Week eleven,
Patriots versus Colts where Gronk just blocks someone into oblivion.
Rams versus Niners. Who's that with? Week two? Was that

(01:33:25):
pooka pooka naku was pooka?

Speaker 4 (01:33:28):
Yeah? Nice?

Speaker 2 (01:33:28):
He bawled out. So your other game because you you
were on the show remotely years ago and we scored
your game. Where is that one o three one o
three right here? Your sixty point game? Nice?

Speaker 4 (01:33:42):
How is that is?

Speaker 8 (01:33:43):
That? Was?

Speaker 1 (01:33:44):
That was a great game because cold cold like put
the team on his back at the end to get
it to overtime. I had the game winner to make it,
and I had the last shot and and I backed
them up, but for some reason, I faded for no.

(01:34:05):
I faded back like like you can block it, and
then I kind of left it short for me to
score sixteen points, break a record, you know, and over time,
hell yeah, not bad, set a record floor.

Speaker 4 (01:34:18):
So it was just meant, what a.

Speaker 3 (01:34:19):
Fucking game with this fifty four burger on dan TONI
because of the beef.

Speaker 4 (01:34:26):
Tell your friends about me.

Speaker 3 (01:34:29):
Tell them they have to know. Now they know about it.
Now till coach K what I did to you?

Speaker 2 (01:34:34):
Did we miss anything from this game?

Speaker 1 (01:34:37):
No? I mean, you know, but one, it was a
better game for me because I played in Arizona so
favorite too, So it was like it was really like
a home crowd for me.

Speaker 2 (01:34:48):
It's a home crowd for Gilly.

Speaker 3 (01:34:51):
Everyone got to go check out the Gilber Arena show
Gill's Arena battle Mode, the arena Gridiron And are.

Speaker 2 (01:35:00):
You twitching now?

Speaker 4 (01:35:02):
Yeah? Twitch?

Speaker 1 (01:35:02):
No chill, gil No, chill?

Speaker 2 (01:35:04):
What are you playing?

Speaker 4 (01:35:06):
NBA two? K Madden? And are you good on the
dude in? You get him in four plays?

Speaker 2 (01:35:11):
That's all you need?

Speaker 4 (01:35:11):
Have you stop those four? I'm done?

Speaker 2 (01:35:13):
Who are you playing with? So? I'm a Rams fan fanatic,
but I play with the Ravens. I'm smart.

Speaker 3 (01:35:20):
So you're a Lamart guy? You run around Lamar No? No, no, yeah,
you never run see all the little kids on the
twitches with just running get the day, bro.

Speaker 1 (01:35:31):
I never I never run because I just assume everyone's
going to have a run defense for him, So I
never use it. I just need it just in case,
like I got to get out of the pocket because
they're blitzing.

Speaker 4 (01:35:42):
That's it.

Speaker 1 (01:35:43):
But I never run because as soon as I get
hit as the fumble right, so I just use I
just use him just to move left and right.

Speaker 3 (01:35:49):
Any FIFA people tell me that I need to play
that game, that's the only I started playing FIFA like
ten years ago, didn't know soccer anything. Now if I'm addicted,
it's it's fucking awesome. It's like it's like, I guess
it's kind of like, what are the people that play
the hockey game?

Speaker 4 (01:36:07):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (01:36:08):
NHL? Y?

Speaker 1 (01:36:09):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:36:09):
Do you ever play that?

Speaker 2 (01:36:10):
I used to when I was growing up, Gretsky ninety
five and like that.

Speaker 4 (01:36:14):
Was that was it.

Speaker 3 (01:36:14):
I used to love what was NBA jams talk for me?
That was my and I played a little two K
back in the day. But I just played fee from
in Call of Duty a little.

Speaker 1 (01:36:24):
Bit here and there. What's so funny, it's it keeps
you young.

Speaker 3 (01:36:27):
It does because you talk to all these twelve year
olds that are like sweaty little sweating talking trash.

Speaker 1 (01:36:33):
It makes you, it makes you sound twelve too, like
it's just but but what it does is like when
I'm streaming gaming that my energy itself feels young, feels young, goals,
it goes right, and it's like I see like only gaming,
Like as soon as I get in there.

Speaker 3 (01:36:49):
Is like childlike and I was like, you just want
to be your inner kids.

Speaker 4 (01:36:53):
As soon as I'm like, I can jump up and
do all this stuff. And then when it stream is over,
the oh my god.

Speaker 7 (01:37:02):
Yeah, you and you and Neon gotta link keep linking up.

Speaker 8 (01:37:04):
Men.

Speaker 7 (01:37:04):
Those clips are all stric.

Speaker 1 (01:37:07):
One thing I knew. I was like, I know he's
a troll. Everything is like, there's not he doesn't want No,
he's not trolling, just so because I mastered and I
understood it.

Speaker 4 (01:37:20):
I knew the assignment.

Speaker 2 (01:37:21):
Yep, that's the Internet. Yes, but I got in trouble.

Speaker 7 (01:37:24):
He's learning from the master though. Gill is the master troll.

Speaker 1 (01:37:26):
I got in trouble. You know, Yeah, ain't trouble my wife,
you know. Yeah, you know I like to my wife
ten times a day.

Speaker 4 (01:37:34):
You know, you do like no it's just frustration. No,
you really believe that, like no, no, no, from the stream,
like it's getting clicker out on the stream.

Speaker 3 (01:37:46):
My gosh, Gilly, thank you so much for coming on, bro.

Speaker 4 (01:37:49):
I appreciate your thanks for having me.

Speaker 3 (01:37:51):
We'll be right back after this quick break. Wow, that
was an awesome episode, hit U.

Speaker 2 (01:37:57):
He does have some chill though. He's got a little chill.

Speaker 4 (01:37:59):
Know he's.

Speaker 2 (01:38:01):
What do you mean his nicknames? Well, no, chill, Gill
is his instant.

Speaker 3 (01:38:05):
No, he's definitely got he's chill. He's chilling his own way.
Gil came in here with the Van Cleef and the
Kashmere came in. Was there's little stars on the I
think there were stars on the sweater.

Speaker 7 (01:38:21):
Oh within the kind of the big hounds too. Yeah,
I think it was it a star. I didn't get
a great enough look at it.

Speaker 3 (01:38:28):
What he gets some fun insight. Gil does not miss,
he doesn't. He's made for this.

Speaker 4 (01:38:34):
I was dead. I want Gill a golf.

Speaker 2 (01:38:37):
Course with us.

Speaker 7 (01:38:38):
I don't care if he's foot wedging and what he's
or what he's doing out there. I want Gill out
there with us. He's a guy you went here for.

Speaker 3 (01:38:43):
Some he there would be some fun stories. Oh my god,
Oh my god, Dying, what an awesome episode Dying. When
he said that he wants to be locked in the
porn What great guy, the porn pa. He was looking
at me to see if I would going there. I
was like, I'm not jumping in, but he's like, that's

slash g w N and always, I mean always celebrate responsibly.

Speaker 2 (01:39:41):
Jackie. Oh my goodness.

Speaker 7 (01:39:42):
Since Gil is not only silly and crazy and a
bucket getter, he's also a great nickname guy, Agent zero
A zero. With that being said, we figured it was
time to dust off the old starting five segment and
today we're gonna do starting five all time sports nicknames.

Speaker 2 (01:40:01):
Okay, back to Agent zero, So fired up?

Speaker 4 (01:40:04):
Did he?

Speaker 2 (01:40:06):
Is?

Speaker 3 (01:40:06):
He the first zero because now it's in the NFL.
Zeros are now in the NFL. He's definitely in early
Matt Golden or Matthew was golden.

Speaker 7 (01:40:13):
Early zero Double zero was popping before that, you had
Robert Parrish was double zero.

Speaker 3 (01:40:19):
Let me look about agent zero. But like now zero
is in?

Speaker 7 (01:40:23):
Oh yeah, is he a swaggy cornerback wearing zero.

Speaker 3 (01:40:27):
He used to be if you're zero, you're no hero,
I know. But now because the Agent zero.

Speaker 4 (01:40:33):
You can be a hero. This is true.

Speaker 7 (01:40:36):
Yeah, I mean, now you got the Russell Westbrooks, he
got the Dame Lillard. It's interesting. That is an interesting
one to uh.

Speaker 3 (01:40:46):
Jim Auto, Jim Auto double he was double zero, Right,
this is a good one.

Speaker 2 (01:40:53):
I'm looking at the list.

Speaker 7 (01:40:53):
Yeah, this is a fun one. I'm very fired up
for this.

Speaker 2 (01:40:56):
All right, who's going first? Starting for is we are
essentially drafting each of our top five of this thing.

Speaker 7 (01:41:06):
I love nicknames so freaking much. I would say, what
separates us from the beasts. It's like fire the I mean,
as far as invenors go, the adventure of fire, the
assembly line, and the ability to give nicknames. Maybe those
are the top three. I mean, we just don't know
the other language nicknames. I love nicknames and like international nicknames,

(01:41:26):
Oh for sure, you know, like we don't know what
they say were like in La Liga. Yeah, the Spaniards,
we don't know how they're calling their they're like their
dudes like like yeah, like no get because we don't
know their language. Maybe they call like did does does
Messi have a nickname other than the flea? That's like,

(01:41:50):
is that the American nickname for him? Or is that
the English nickname?

Speaker 2 (01:41:53):
Or is that I don't know? Does Messi have a
Spanish nickname?

Speaker 4 (01:41:57):
He's Lapoga?

Speaker 7 (01:41:59):
I think the flea lapoka. That's a great U l
g A. That's very good.

Speaker 2 (01:42:04):
That's a very good one.

Speaker 7 (01:42:06):
I put I put our nickname abilities right up there
with anywhere in the world.

Speaker 3 (01:42:09):
All Right, I'm gonna start it. Always go first.

Speaker 2 (01:42:13):
Look.

Speaker 3 (01:42:14):
I mean, I someone who's who lived out his nickname,
still lives out his nickname. I gotta go Dion Sanders
with prime Time. I loved Gotta Go. I loved him
as a kid too, had his shoes prime Time Primetime
like that was that's still a great nickname.

Speaker 2 (01:42:35):
That's great all the time prime Time. It's fitting to
not only is it a good nickname, it like fits
him perfectly.

Speaker 3 (01:42:42):
Prime Time keeps ticking tick in, tick in, andto he
used to have a CD that I have right back
over there, I mean prime Time.

Speaker 2 (01:42:52):
I'm going with him great one, great one. My next, Oh,
UK guy, I'm gonna go with the great one. Red Sky.

Speaker 4 (01:43:01):
I like it.

Speaker 3 (01:43:01):
Yeah great, And it's a hockey guys have It's a
great one. Hockey in general, Graves out, there's a big
nickname culture, not just like names like this, but like
variations of your name.

Speaker 2 (01:43:12):
Get a yeah I E or why or yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:43:17):
Yeah, I think I'm gonna go is me? I'm gonna
go with a guy We talked about a little bit
this episode. Pete Rose Baby, Charlie Hustle, Charlie Husks a
great one.

Speaker 2 (01:43:28):
We snake drafting or we're just lets you go. Who's
up Europe? I'm up regular draft? Yeah, okay.

Speaker 1 (01:43:40):
You know I was.

Speaker 3 (01:43:42):
Recently I had to get a car towed and I
drove back with my toe guy and he was he
was this Mexican dude and we were talking. He had
a Dodgers hat on nice and he asked me who's
my favorite team? And and you know, I said, I
like the Giants and Red Sox, and he loved the

(01:44:04):
he like loved the Lakers. He was listening to the game.
We were listening to the game and you know, on
and stuff, and I'm like, you like Big Poppy And
he didn't even know who Big Poppy was. What I go,
David Ortiz, I go, do you even watch? I think
like on the West Coast, they don't know the East
coast ship.

Speaker 7 (01:44:24):
This guy just didn't know Baal she's Louise.

Speaker 4 (01:44:27):
Hey, I know Big Poop.

Speaker 3 (01:44:28):
I think he just loved the Dodgers because they were winning. Yeah,
but it sounds like it sounds like an l a
sports knew. I say, you know what, I go, David Ortiz,
you know? And then I said, you know Big Poppy.
He goes, oh yeah, big Puppy. Yeah, you knew Big Poppy.
So that's I'm going to Bipy Runner too.

Speaker 4 (01:44:46):
I like that.

Speaker 2 (01:44:47):
That's a great pick your toe drivers on my radar
me too.

Speaker 4 (01:44:52):
You don't know people, dude.

Speaker 3 (01:44:53):
You know he got me though, Jesus and what he
got me because he said, oh he so, I I
was sitting I was stranded. I took out the old school,
you know, and the starter went out, and so I'm
sitting there stranding for like three hours up in like
the mountains, and this dude comes and he and he goes, oh,

(01:45:14):
I gotta go. I can't I can't leave. I can't
take you back to LA. I'm like, I go, so,
what are you gonna do?

Speaker 2 (01:45:22):
Because you're like, mechanic is like way up right, huh,
your mechanic is like super fun.

Speaker 3 (01:45:26):
No, he just had to bring me home. But I
was like thirty five miles and there was a lot
of traffic to get back, gotcha, and it would have
been an hour. And he goes, oh, I got you.
Gotta have another guy. I can't leave this this post
because it's out of my district. I said, all right, buddy,
I'll get here slipy some and this is triple a yeah,

(01:45:47):
And so I was like, I'll slip you a couple
and he got me nice and.

Speaker 2 (01:45:52):
He took me. But did he get me? Did he did?
Did it?

Speaker 3 (01:45:55):
Was it was that like a was that part of it?
Like was he joking around?

Speaker 2 (01:46:00):
I don't know, that's a little sick.

Speaker 3 (01:46:02):
He loved the Dodgers regardless, and fuckho is killing it?

Speaker 2 (01:46:05):
They might have one what's at this point the best
baseball I.

Speaker 3 (01:46:10):
Go to the airport and show there's there's la Dodgers hat,
and then there's just a blue Otani hat. It just
says Otani. Are the Dodgers selling Otani's name making money
off of it? Like just absolutely says no Dodgers.

Speaker 2 (01:46:22):
That's why he's making seventy million a year. How many
jerseys didn't they sell in Japan.

Speaker 4 (01:46:29):
A lot?

Speaker 2 (01:46:29):
I think they called it.

Speaker 7 (01:46:30):
They say showtime, but I don't know if that's like
the show is spelled saho.

Speaker 3 (01:46:34):
I like the puppy me too. And he squeezed me
like I was a little kid on on the Kickoff Show.
I felt like, I doesn't like he was my dad
or something.

Speaker 4 (01:46:44):
He was so big and.

Speaker 7 (01:46:47):
I'm good hugged so I thought you were Dustin Pedroia.

Speaker 2 (01:46:49):
He calls me that all the time.

Speaker 3 (01:46:51):
He remind be a beaty.

Speaker 4 (01:46:55):
Laser show, Laser show, Laser.

Speaker 2 (01:46:57):
Show that could be on the list. So it's my turn,
and I got a question. So my guy, is it
the player or the nickname? Because my guy's got two nicknames,
it's pretty good.

Speaker 7 (01:47:05):
I'm going purely the nickname a little bit of both.

Speaker 2 (01:47:08):
Its room for interpretation.

Speaker 4 (01:47:09):
I love it when you call me big bo.

Speaker 2 (01:47:12):
Throw your hands in. If you's a true player.

Speaker 7 (01:47:15):
We should watch Hardballs.

Speaker 2 (01:47:16):
I know it's a good move. Sad all right, PG
baby alight, I'm gonna go with MARIOO. That's great, super Mario,
that's a great. And for your Quebec claw.

Speaker 1 (01:47:24):
He's a love.

Speaker 2 (01:47:25):
I can't pronounce it. My friend is terrible love magnific.

Speaker 4 (01:47:29):
Probably.

Speaker 3 (01:47:30):
You know, you should probably learn your French if you're
gonna go go to Canada, bubbs.

Speaker 2 (01:47:33):
Hey, if I can get another passport, I'm gonna I'm
just saying, depends on you. Oh yeah, that sounded pretty good.
My French is very bad.

Speaker 4 (01:47:46):
Hey, he said it, well, well said.

Speaker 2 (01:47:48):
It's like that family guy, you know what Kyler? Which
one's that? I remember that. It's like, oh, you speak
English and I only speak this, and then the phrase
you know what Kyler?

Speaker 6 (01:47:57):
What?

Speaker 3 (01:47:58):
He what the French like to call which is incompetent?

Speaker 2 (01:48:07):
Jesus. I love it.

Speaker 8 (01:48:09):
I love it.

Speaker 2 (01:48:09):
We're risking each other in different languages. I have a
joke dialed in, but I don't want to say it
on camera.

Speaker 7 (01:48:15):
Say it, oh Jack, Oh my gosh, oh lord, I'm
gonna go with This is an under the radar one,
but maybe one of my favorites of all time. Vinnie
Johnson the microwave. He'd come in off the bench, He'll
fill up the stat sheet when he was back there
on the Sonics and the Pistons, all those great teams.

Speaker 2 (01:48:35):
Do you have an origin of why the microwave?

Speaker 7 (01:48:37):
Because he would come in off like the oouncers were
calling him that because he was a bench player, but
he'd come in and he'd score. He need to be hot,
really really quickly. Don't you know who this guy is?
Annie Johnson bro Legend. All right, Well I'm Hooper. That'll
be good. That's a great micro See.

Speaker 3 (01:48:52):
That's one where we're gonna go Hooper. You gotta go
with the best, one of the the best of all
time the basketball has great nickname because I'm looking at
like three right now. Yeah, but I gotta go with
Irvin Magic Johnson. I don't even know it was his
name was Irving until I was like twenty five, because
I thought it was just magic.

Speaker 2 (01:49:11):
Right.

Speaker 3 (01:49:12):
That's how cool of a nickname that is.

Speaker 2 (01:49:13):
I guess that's great. It's so ubiquitous. You just think
it's his name that's it was his name. It's a
little bit of a Tiger Wood situation.

Speaker 3 (01:49:20):
Tiger's Woods. His real name is Tiger Wood.

Speaker 2 (01:49:22):
No, it's Eldrick.

Speaker 3 (01:49:23):
No, but his middle name is Tiger.

Speaker 1 (01:49:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:49:25):
Yeah, okay, never mind, sorry, okay, Yeah, Elderick, Tiger Woods, Elwood, Eldrick, Eldrick, Yeah,
Tiger Woods.

Speaker 2 (01:49:33):
Magic, Okay, Magic Johnson.

Speaker 3 (01:49:35):
That's a good fucking great nickname. It's a great, great nickname.

Speaker 2 (01:49:38):
You give us a little deep there, a little head
nod because you're like Irvin and we all thought you're
gonna say doctor j.

Speaker 3 (01:49:44):
No, but you see you forgot. They say Eldrick Woods.
You forgot Magic his name, you forgot it.

Speaker 2 (01:49:50):
Yeah, Tiger might not be on his birth certificate.

Speaker 7 (01:49:54):
We gotta double check that one. He gotta double check that.
But Magic's all time. It's an all time.

Speaker 2 (01:49:58):
Yeah. No, that's great. Yeah, our third hockey player for
Gordie how.

Speaker 5 (01:50:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:50:06):
Oh that's hockey. That's a great one. We should get
Magic in.

Speaker 1 (01:50:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:50:10):
I also the namesake for the Gordia Howe hat trick.
You know what that is, Jules. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:50:17):
When you do uh three three three goals and three
assists and you got to go in the penalty box
for one minute.

Speaker 2 (01:50:28):
You have to do all those and that's the Gordi
hall hat trick the people. Now, what is it, Gordie
how hat tricks a goal and assist in a fight.
See that's like that.

Speaker 6 (01:50:38):
That.

Speaker 2 (01:50:38):
I was pretty much you can't go in the penalty
box for one minute. This doesn't exist two minutes. Yeah, okay, dude,
you don't even know puckhead, punkhead even.

Speaker 7 (01:50:51):
I gotta go with my guy Randy Johnson.

Speaker 3 (01:50:54):
Your unit is a great and it's a great one.

Speaker 2 (01:50:56):
I love ryany man.

Speaker 7 (01:50:57):
We should get Randy on here.

Speaker 2 (01:50:58):
I love him. Takes the pictures. Frank Thomas was the unit.
He was the big hurt, the big hurt. Yeah, he's
on that.

Speaker 7 (01:51:04):
That's another good one. You should steal that one. Yeah,
not gonna go hockey.

Speaker 2 (01:51:07):
Oh sorry.

Speaker 1 (01:51:11):
For me.

Speaker 2 (01:51:13):
My next one gotta go beast mode.

Speaker 4 (01:51:18):
That's a great one.

Speaker 3 (01:51:19):
Money, that's a great We used to call Marshall money,
money Lynch, money lynch baby.

Speaker 2 (01:51:25):
That's I think at Berkeley that's what they called him.
But then I was put it down there, money Lynch.

Speaker 3 (01:51:30):
No, it was it money Marshall. I think it was
money but best so I liked that like bast mode
is like, but Gronk was also kind of beast mode. Yeah,
it's like a state of being not yea, no, that's true.

Speaker 2 (01:51:40):
Yeah. I was in New yorkervery weekend.

Speaker 3 (01:51:43):
Like marsha r bst mode. Everyone knows best Mode.

Speaker 7 (01:51:47):
I got followed by a guy for about twelve blocks
wearing a Marshall Lynch jersey. I think he was an
unhoused man, but he was still kind of scary to
seeing that two na I've seen that two four behind it.
I was like, oh fuck, he might go beast mode on.
You might go be smote on me right here in
the streets.

Speaker 2 (01:52:03):
It was wild love. Marshaan. I'm gonna go with h
Sidney Krasby said the kid said, the kid is a
great one. Sid The kid is like that not super
relevant anymore, but like he said, the old man, but
he's still doing it. Hey, he's still a kid in
our mind. What a legend I'm gonna go with.

Speaker 7 (01:52:24):
I'm gonna go this might be a controversial pick, but
I'm gonna go Johnny Football.

Speaker 2 (01:52:31):
It's a great nickname. It's a great nickname.

Speaker 7 (01:52:32):
You got the sport that you play in your nickname
and you're supposed to be like.

Speaker 3 (01:52:36):
And everyone knew it it did it stuck?

Speaker 2 (01:52:39):
It stuck?

Speaker 1 (01:52:41):
I like it.

Speaker 3 (01:52:42):
I'm gonna go for my Air Jordan's pretty insane but
not good. You can't like not have that on your list.

Speaker 7 (01:52:52):
Billion dollar brand, all time nickname.

Speaker 2 (01:52:55):
I'm going to expose my lack of basketball knowledge here.
But did Air Jordan precede his Nike relationship or did
that come as like a part of it? Is it
a Chicken ragg kind of thing?

Speaker 4 (01:53:07):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:53:07):
What do you mean, like, because it's like shoe was
like Air Jordan's for shoe, Like did that just come
about after that or did it? Was it named after?
Was the shoe named after his nickname? Air Jordan.

Speaker 7 (01:53:21):
I'm gonna I'm gonna show I think I think I
think I think it was too based on seeing Jason
Bateman's hitting the movie Air.

Speaker 2 (01:53:28):
Yeah, I think I always think it's I watched that movie.

Speaker 3 (01:53:30):
Great movie, a bunch, that's a great movie. Director Ben Flack,
who played Phil Knight, What a movie. That's what a
great movie.

Speaker 4 (01:53:38):
Damon so highly rewatchable, highly.

Speaker 2 (01:53:41):
Rewatchable for me. While it is a billion dollar brand,
it being so tied to like a corporate thing takes
a little.

Speaker 3 (01:53:47):
Bit of the like, yeah, maybe I'm taking that back
magic out of it because he was also the black Cat,
was he?

Speaker 2 (01:53:52):
Yeah? In un c no, just like as a lesser
no nickname. I've never once heard that in my life.

Speaker 3 (01:53:58):
Well, we've all heard of the bus Sweetness. I gotta
go with Sweetness.

Speaker 2 (01:54:05):

we want to do a six a six man spot
on the ya?

Speaker 2 (01:54:12):
I gotta go six mans? Okay? Just uh I don't
everyone know this an ear last pick. I'm gonna go
with Mcjesus.

Speaker 4 (01:54:19):
That's pretty good.

Speaker 7 (01:54:22):
This is a a formidable hockey list. I am gonna
go here with oh man, I got some tough ones
coming up. It's a little bit of a separating the
art from the artist. But like Karl Malone and the Male,
the Mailman's one is pretty good. You gotta separate in
the nickname from the guy, kind of like Ted Nugent,

(01:54:43):
the MotorCity Madman, all time nickname.

Speaker 2 (01:54:45):
Ted Nugent all Time? Yeah, Draft Dodgers, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:54:50):
That guy.

Speaker 2 (01:54:53):
I'm gonna go GP the glove. Gary Payton, the glove.

Speaker 7 (01:54:56):
The glove I love that. I love Gary Payton. The
glove was great. Okay, so now this is our honor mention,
our sixth man, yea, our sixth man of the year
coming off the bench.

Speaker 2 (01:55:06):
Honorable mention to scratched the surface, Doctor j is so good.

Speaker 3 (01:55:13):
I love Kenny the Snake Stabler year then though, yeah,
I love that's true. I'm gonna this is gonna be.
I just remember as a kid when you were playing
like fall ball. Yeah, if you played fall ball baseball,

(01:55:34):
everyone wanted to be mister October.

Speaker 2 (01:55:36):
Oh, Reggie, that's that's true.

Speaker 7 (01:55:39):
When you got a month named the prime month named
after you.

Speaker 3 (01:55:42):
Yeah, yeah, that's like mister February. And is that who's
mister February. There's no mister February.

Speaker 2 (01:55:47):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:55:48):
I mean, mister October is awesome. I'm putting that on
even though I don't even like the Yankees, I'm with you.

Speaker 2 (01:55:54):
With also mister October. So it comes with the visual
of him with like those like aviators and like fall
t just like it does. It comes right with it.

Speaker 3 (01:56:04):
You hated it too, And then the what was was it?
Or no he would he didn't. That was Gibson. But
he also had ran around the bases and did something
some swag.

Speaker 2 (01:56:14):
That's a great one. Was that one. And then miss November.

Speaker 3 (01:56:19):
But you know, but I can recognize you. Yeah, I
go against my ideology.

Speaker 2 (01:56:25):
Yeah yeah, I'm gonna I might like make it a
little sad here for a second. I'm gonna go with
Johnny Hockey. Johnny, that's a great one. That's a great rip,
my man.

Speaker 3 (01:56:34):
I love that kid. We had such a fun time
together and uh in Nantucket for for Gali one year.
Great kid lost too early. Brother all right, Pete uh
Nick Mangle too man.

Speaker 2 (01:56:50):
Yeah, fuck bro, that was sad. It really was forty one.

Speaker 3 (01:56:54):
I guess it's you know, dog dude. We competed against
those guys a lot. I played against him a whole lot.

Speaker 7 (01:57:03):
I've heard nothing but good things about him and what
heck with.

Speaker 3 (01:57:06):
He was such a good football player. We talked about
him in team meetings. I mean I remember Bill bringing
him up and like he was the heartbeat of that team.
And they went to the FC Championship twice with him.

Speaker 2 (01:57:16):
Back to back years.

Speaker 7 (01:57:16):
And you know, into that that line in that locker room,
that's sad man.

Speaker 2 (01:57:20):
National champion Ohio State too.

Speaker 3 (01:57:22):
O s You got a lot of you know, a
lot of guys I played with when we want to
suit like they played with him at O s U.

Speaker 2 (01:57:30):
You know it's sad for his family. I know finishes off.
I'm gonna go with O. J. Simpson.

Speaker 7 (01:57:36):
The juice, the juice, what a se This is a
good segment, guys. We can do a part two. I'm
sure soon here the juice is pretty good. The juice

Speaker 2 (01:57:50):
I guess all right, P for sure man.

Speaker 3 (01:57:53):

It's OJ Mahomes.

Speaker 2 (01:57:59):
He was very pro of you going to the Hall
of Fame.

Speaker 4 (01:58:01):

Speaker 2 (01:58:08):
