Speaker 1 (00:00):
Robbie g it's officially passed Thanksgiving in the National Football League.
And what does that mean?

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Hey, it's when we start seeing the good teams, you know,
stay good and become great, or you start seeing the
terrible teams stay terrible and just keep getting worse. It's
the Bill Belichick saying, And Jewels, can you quote it
to the exact team for us?

Speaker 3 (00:21):
Because I know you know all of Coach Belichick sayings
to a team. Let's hear it.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Come on, football season doesn't happen till after Thanksgiving. Our
football season doesn't start till Thanksgiving.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
And why is that, Jewles, Because I just kind of
gave the explanation. That's exactly you see that when you
see the good teams become great and the bad teams
become worse.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
And we're going to be in a nuthouse doing a
reaction to a couple of these Week fourteen games. Is
it week fourteen or is it Week thirteen thirteen? Thank god,
I almost had I almost had heart puplitation, because that
means there's one less week, one week less football coming.

(01:05):
Let's start off with the Big Patriots, First Giants. Monday
Night Football game Boy. Initial thought for you, Rob, Well.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
My first initial thought is that I thought the Giants
were gonna, you know, possibly pull off and upset. Why
because the Giants have played so great on the road
this year, besides getting the win by great, meaning they've
been up by ten plus points basically on majority of
the games in the road five times this year, and

(01:36):
all five of those times they actually lost the game
even though they were up by ten points. So I
thought it was gonna be kind of a similar situation,
especially with the Giants and the Pats history. I thought
the Giants were gonna be able to come in into
Foxborough and put a performance up.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
Jackson Dart's been out, he's been hurt.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
His first game back, I thought there would be some
momentum behind him, And let me tell you that I
was completely wrong. The Giants were a complete DoD They
didn't compete at all.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
The whole entire game was just domination by the Patriots.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
It's not the game that I wanted to see because
sitting there I'm a fan of It's a game I
wanted to see for Patriots because you know, we played
for the Patriots Patriot fans. But I'm saying, when I
watch football now, I love good football games, Jewels. That's
what I lean towards, is like a game that's going
back and forth and not a total blowout.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
So that's what this one kind of was. Yeah, the final.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
Score didn't show a total blowout, but let me tell you,
the Patriots dominated them from beginning to start.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
Yeah, I mean and that.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Yeah, And what did you think about the game, Julian,
I mean, did you think it was gonna be closer
than what it was or you know, how did you
see this going down before the game even started.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
Once I saw that so before, I thought it would
be a closer game because of the points you made.
Boston New York Giants always played tough no matter what
the It's like the little rivalry for our organizations, even
though we're not in the same division. YadA, YadA, YadA.
But as soon as I saw the pup the kickoff
return for the first as soon as I saw the

(03:13):
first kickoff return, as soon as I saw Abduel Carter
not suiting up for the first series, knowing that there's
probably some disciplinary things, I was like, oh, this could
get ugly. And then the punt return by Marcus Jones.
Congratulations to him for tying my record for a franchise
record of long ninety four out the door, gray area,

(03:35):
punt housed it. I don't think he got touched. You
just saw the juice on the sideline from the Patriots
that they were running the clock out in the third quarter.
They were running it out. It was thirty seven and
a half time. So as soon as I saw Abdul
Carter not playing that first play the punt return, I
was like, oh, this might get ugly, and that's what

(03:56):
you gotta see. This is what you want to see
from your young football team. Boy, did Drake may look efficient?
Boy does he look like he can hit the deep throws.
He's making it look smooth and easy, which is a
product of him being in a zone that he's just
progressing each week. Yeah, they can do better in the
red area. Yeah, they can do better in certain situations

(04:17):
in the third quarter where they kind of got stalled
out for a while. But look, they're down Wilson, they're
down Campbell guard tackle on the left side of the line,
and they didn't miss a beat for the first few drives.
I mean, first drive they go down and they get three.
Could have done better on third down in the red area,

(04:37):
but they get three and then they go. It's just
it's an exciting team to watch. I just hope they
continue this. That was a great Battle Test game. Without
your lineman, Drake May, how was he going to react?
Booty had a great red area touchdown, Douglas May and
he's distributing the football to everyone, And I also think, man,

(05:01):
how how awesome is it that? I think a huge
reason for all this success is Josh McDaniels. And we've
talked about it on this show, but they're in a
they got a great relationship, McDaniels in May, they got
a great relationship.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
Why are you giving props to McDaniels here, because I
feel like I know the reason is because McDaniels knows
how to offset his injuries. He knows how to, you know,
make plays and develop plays and make calls the base
off of his personnel that he has out there, based
off of the guys that are available. And to see

(05:40):
him make the adjustments just that quick, that just shows
how great an offensive coordinator that he is because he
knows his team, not just his starters, but he also
knows the backups. He knows the backups of the backups
and what they can do as well. And once those
guys go in boom, he adjusts his game plan and
uses their strengths.

Speaker 3 (05:58):
And he showed it there last.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
Night once again, how McDaniels can adjust in any situation
as an offensive coordinator and develop and also use his
guys you know, and their strengths so that they can
have their best performance when going out there on the
football field.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
I think you know to answer your question when you say,
how come you think Josh is well, if you watch
the game, like the way they're running the ball, the
different personnel groups they're using, not over using Trayvon Henderson
because he's a rookie and they know he has value
for the end of the season. Getting Romandre Stevenson's involved
in getting his confidence going because they're gonna need him

(06:39):
in the back half of the season, getting Booty involved,
keeping Digs happy, getting him rocks, getting Hunter Henry a
couple of rocks. Like they're just calling everything where you
can't rely and you can't just say we got to
stop that guy. The only guy you got to stop
now is Drake May Because he's not throwing to a
favorite receiver, He's throwing to the open receiver, and that's

(07:00):
because of the play calling. And I think they have
a good chemistry going right now. I think it's it's
fun to watch because we know the plays they're running
our same plays. It looks very similar to our stuff,
you know what I mean? Yes I do, and we're
the game.

Speaker 3 (07:18):
And why I.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
Really like this Patriots team is that, how do you
how do you prevent you know, from losing a game, Jules.
You gotta not beat yourself first, and the Patriots are
not beating themselves. Yes they did when they lost those
two games this year, Julian, Now all these other games,

(07:40):
now that they have won the last ten in a row,
they're eleven and two right now, one ten in a row.
They have not beat themselves. The other team has to
beat them. And when you're making other teams.

Speaker 3 (07:52):
Have to beat you.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
It's really hard to win in the NFL when you're
going against the New England Patriots, because they're not making
the mistake. There's once again, no turnovers, there's no dumb
you know, dumb penalties as well. They're a really well
coached football team and that's why the tackling has been great.

(08:13):
The defense has been so solid. And physical. They're playing
such sound football, Julian that it's hard to beat that
formula even if you have lesser talent than the team
that you're going against. That's why I really like these Patriots,
and that's why people in the Patriot fans are so
excited about this team, because it's a product on the

(08:33):
field that looks like that they've been together for the
last five to ten years.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
Yeah. And then also, you know, a product of good
coaching is all your phases are good, complimentary football, touchdown
on a punt return, explosion plays on kickoff, new kickoff rule,
dynamic play, they get a fumble on gunner on kickoff,
they're tackling like. It's been really fun to watch because

(09:01):
I feel like we kind of I feel like they're
getting coached. A lot of this stuff we're getting we
were getting coached, probably in a different manner of how
it's communicated, but a lot of the same things that
we used to emphasize in the details you're seeing out
of this team. And it can get better, and it
can get better, you know. Shout out to Christian Ellis

(09:21):
for the physicality he brought last night with those two
big hits, hitting Jackson Dart on the sideline and knocking
out my boy gun show, you know. But that that's
that's that's what you gotta do. You gotta let it
be known when you come to Foxboro and you're running
around here, you might get your head taken off. You

(09:44):
might get your head taken off. And that's the attitude
that that team's looking for. You know. They look fast,
they look physical, and they're young.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
It looks yeah, it looks phenomenal.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
And that's the product that coach Rabel wanted to bring
into fox And he said it at the beginning of
the year, I think it was an off season or
training camp, is that he wants this defense to be
a physical football team, our physical defensive team on that
side of the ball. He talked about it, you know,
and now it's come into tuition because of how he's

(10:18):
been establishing that, you know, as a coach, and it's
been trickling down to the players. That's how they got
to play and you can see it week in and
week out now. And you said earlier, Julian, we hope
the Patriots can keep it up, you know at this level.

Speaker 3 (10:31):
Well, guess what we don't have to say we.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
Hope the Patriots can keep it up, because they are
going to keep it up at this level.

Speaker 3 (10:38):
There's been so.

Speaker 2 (10:38):
Many test games, you know, since Week four, Week five,
Week six? Oh, can the Patriots go in and beat Cincinnati?
You know, can they you know, go down and beat Miami? Well,
guess what, Hey, it's just a it's a Giants, it's
a New York Boston rivalry. Are they going to collapse? Well,
we've been saying that weekly on a weekly basis. Well,

(11:01):
guess what this team is here. They're the real deal.
They're the team to beat, you know, in the AFC,
they got the best record in the NFL. They're here
to play. It's not know, Oh, can they show us
what they can do? This week? They showed us that
they're here and they're ready to play all three phases
of the game. So no more of that nonsense. Can

(11:21):
the Patriots keep it up? They will keep it up,
and they're the team to beat now.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
And they gotta they gotta take this. They're going into
their bye week. This is another step though, because they
are a young team. Taking advantage of this bye week,
getting your team healthy. They don't have Milton Williams and
the defense is still doing pretty good. He's only going
to come back in the next few weeks. Taking this
young team self scouting during this bye week and getting
better this week will show the maturity of this team

(11:48):
if they can do that, because you know, going into
the last four weeks, who do they got? They got
the Jets twice? Wait, where's the remaining schedule they got?

Speaker 2 (11:58):
They got the Judges once at the actually night football
game a couple of weeks ago.

Speaker 3 (12:02):
So they got the Jets. I know, yeah, I think
Baltimore Ravens.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
They got the Buffalo Bills, they got the Jets, and
they got the Miami Dolphins. So that is going to
be a tough stretch right there. Those four games, I
mean to three division games and then the Baltimore Ravens,
who are either hot now they just lost again last week,
So that could be an iffy game, depending on how
the Baltimore comes out and plays. But it's definitely going

(12:27):
to be a more challenging game than what these Giants
just brought to the table. But there's one concern that
I have with the newtan Patriots, Julia.

Speaker 3 (12:35):
And that's their red zone struggles.

Speaker 2 (12:39):
The game last night versus the Giants they were one
for five in the red area. I mean, if they
really want to put these teams away, if they really
want to succeed, it's all about, you know, deep into
the playoffs, it's all about scoring touchdowns and not kicking
field goals when you have the opportunity to score touchdowns.
I don't have a solution for them, you know, in

(13:00):
the red zone. I'm sure McDaniels is what is That's
what he's going to stress because with a guy like McDaniels,
when you have a bye week, he focuses and attacks
the areas where the Patriots aren't strong at offense.

Speaker 3 (13:13):
And that's what you work on that.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
Whole entire day or for two three days straight, because
you've got to get better and that category. So I'm
sure he's devising things and seeing what he has this
week in the bye week to become a better team
in the red zone. And if they start scoring, if
people step up in the red zone, this team will
be even more scarier.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
Than Look, I'm not I'm not trying to make an
excuse for him, but you don't got your left tackle,
your left guard on the offensive line, it's gonna be
It's it's hard it gets way harder. You know, you
may not be able to run the ball a certain
way that you guys like doing in the red area.
It may not be able to set up the other things.

(13:53):
So I think they need to get healthy. Yeah, they
got to address it, and they got to get better
and find answers, because that's what the NFL is. It's
finding problems and answering them. That's what this whole thing is.
Where's our problem? How do we fix it?

Speaker 3 (14:04):
To go on?

Speaker 1 (14:05):
And uh, you know, but I think they get healthy,
they'll be all right. They were three for five against
the Jets last week against the Bengals, they were zero
for two this week, one for five, I mean three weeks. Yeah,
that's that's a struggling point. Got to get got gotta
find a plan.

Speaker 2 (14:22):
I mean one thing that they could possibly do in
the red zone. I'm not sure, you know, if you
really want to unleash his package. I mean you you
should when the game's on the line or or your
seasons on the line. But it's unleash Drake May. I mean,
this guy's so athletic. They really don't use them in
the run game, and he can establish himself as a

(14:42):
great runner. But if you use him as just a
runner in the red zone, that brings another weapon to
the table that gives these defenses. It throws them off
and then they'll be a little bit edgy because they
don't really know what you're gonna do. Because you can
have either you know, pass the ball with Drake May,
or you can have a quarterback draw can kind of
use them like Josh Allen, and Josh Allen excels so

(15:03):
much in the red zone because he can either run
the ball in or throw the ball.

Speaker 3 (15:07):
So if they create.

Speaker 2 (15:09):
Packages or Drake May can establish himself as a go
to runner in the red zone, that could be a
possibility as well that they could do.

Speaker 1 (15:17):
Yeah, definitely, but I think they'll save that for the
playoffs or later in the season. You don't want to
get him hurt. He's already taken a lot of hits
this season. You know, they've cutting the sacks down, but
he still gets sacked. He got sacked what three times,
hit twice this game. Like, so, like, I understand they'll
they'll have something. I'm confident, you know. It just seems

(15:38):
like they got a good formula right now and they're
in that pocket where they enjoy the preparation process. Everyone's
bought in, everyone's about the team, and that's when you
see the teams that go.

Speaker 4 (15:50):
On runs go on runs, and yes they're not so
healthy right now, but they're still typically more on the
healthier side, I would say, compared to some other teams.

Speaker 2 (16:02):
And I believe if they get those guys back that
and they will be getting them back, that they'll be
in the right shape in the being healthy category going
into the playoffs as well.

Speaker 3 (16:14):
And when going.

Speaker 2 (16:15):
Into the playoffs typically majority of the time it's the
team that is the most healthiest has the biggest run
in the playoffs as well, So that should be one
of the Patriots' main goals going into this bye week
is to get everyone treatment. Is to get everyone they're
nicks and bruises. Is to get everyone to full speed
and get them healthier. And then also the guys that

(16:37):
can't play in the next week or two, is to
get them healthy going into the playoffs so then they
can prepare for a deep run. And the Patriots, I
can only see them right now, Julian having that first
round by I don't see why not. They got the
best record in the NFL and the best record in
the FC. I feel like they can even go to

(16:59):
and FI four in their last four games and still
get the first round by So I don't see them. Yeah,
there's the Broncos, but I don't see the Broncos not
not losing.

Speaker 3 (17:12):
Some games as well.

Speaker 2 (17:13):
So if the Patriots just take care of their business,
you know, go three and one, for sure they get
the buye I believe, but I don't see why they
won it because I can see the Broncos losing some
games as well down the stretch of this season.

Speaker 1 (17:28):
So does that make them a super Bowl contender?

Speaker 2 (17:30):
Do you it does? I don't see why not. We're
always like I was talking about earlier. Oh, you know,
they got the best record, but they don't have you know,
the best super Bowl odds.

Speaker 3 (17:40):
The way that.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
They've been playing in all three phases, you know, the
way that they're coach, everyone's buying in. They're a team,
They're a football team. There's no individuals on this team.
I see them as a super Bowl contender. I was
on that page of a they still got to do this,
they still got to do that.

Speaker 3 (17:58):
But after that.

Speaker 2 (17:59):
Game last night versus the Giants, who the Giants have
played many great you know, physical games and into it all,
going all the way into the last seconds, into the
fourth quarter and just losing. Like they're a competitive team
even though they're two and ten or two and eleven now,
it doesn't matter. They got great players and great skill sets.
Still I see them. I'm bought in as a Super

(18:21):
Bowl contender now after watching them on Monday Night football.

Speaker 1 (18:25):
Same, I think, you know, you try to, like Rob said,
you try to get on that like, oh well we
haven't seen this we have. It's the time of the
year you are, which you are. And it's not like
they've been struggling on offense throughout the whole, Like they
have periods where you know, they had the they went

(18:46):
stale in the second half. They only had three drives
and they couldn't convert. But like, look it was thirty
to seven. These guys are young guys. They're probably talking
about we're going to B'SU right now after this game
at halftime. It's hard. These guys are still young, you
know what I mean?

Speaker 2 (19:01):
You bu Bju still even there, Julia, Oh I got
was a throwback?

Speaker 1 (19:08):
Uh you know it's it's this has been real fun
to watch Man and Boy mister Kraft's looking smart.

Speaker 2 (19:16):
RKK, RKK, And and you gotta tip your hat to
r KK because he truly does do the best thing
for the football team. And yes, you know, he could
have possibly, you know, made some mistakes over the last
four years and didn't have the best you know product
on the football field, but in his eyes at that moment,

(19:37):
he thought that was the best thing for the team,
and if it wasn't, he was always trying to correct
his mistake. And that's why you gotta love RKK as
an owner, because he cares, you know about this, you
know about this football team. He cares about the region
here in New England, and he's not at this point
for no reason. They're back, The Patriots are back because

(19:58):
RKK cares about the team. He cares about how they're doing,
and he fixed what was wrong. He went out got
coach Rabel and now they're dominating all over the place.
But also, Jules, let's go back to the beginning of
the show when you just said, when you brought up, hey,
what's the saying. You know, after Thanksgiving that's when football
season starts. That's when you see the bad teams, you know,

(20:20):
become worse a good team. And this game right here
was the first game after Thanksgiving for the Giants and
the Patriots. And the Giants yes, two and ten, but
they were competitive. But it's Thanksgiving after Thanksgiving now, so
it just shows, Hey, they're actually a bad team and
they got worse. They weren't even competitive in this game

(20:42):
on Monday Night versus Patriots and the Patriots ten and two.
Well they're a good team. Well after Thanksgiving, they got
to show that they're still good and become great.

Speaker 3 (20:51):
That's what they just did.

Speaker 2 (20:53):
They dominated a terrible team, the New York Giants. So
it is true football season does start after thanks Givin.

Speaker 1 (21:00):
Let's get into the chills due to the week brought
to you by our favorite beer cores like at cours
Light delivered straight to your door. Visit Corslight dot com,
slash dudes, and celebrate responsibly.

Speaker 4 (21:12):
Rob you got one, I got one Jewels, I'll always
have a cors.

Speaker 3 (21:17):
Light on me.

Speaker 2 (21:18):
Cold as the Rockies and guess what I'm gonna be
skiing in the Rocky Mountains?

Speaker 3 (21:23):
This uh, this winner.

Speaker 2 (21:25):
So cheers to skiing, Cheers to cors Light, and cheers
to the cold Rocky Mountains and the chills to the week,
and the chill is due to the week, and the
chill is.

Speaker 1 (21:39):
Due to the week. This week is Christian Ellis Old,
Christian Ellens Alice.

Speaker 2 (21:48):
You know, Christian Alis brought some absolute heat to the
table Monday Night football. He brought that you know identity
you know of the New England Patriots defense, that they
gotta be physical, they gotta be tough, and he set
the tone, you know, kind of.

Speaker 3 (22:06):
From the beginning of the game with two.

Speaker 2 (22:08):
Massive, absolutely crushing, bone crushing hits.

Speaker 3 (22:13):
Julian get into them.

Speaker 1 (22:16):
Yeah, I mean, tone setting hits for sure, and reminders,
and these are reminders that playing in the National Football
League is dangerous and he shouldn't be tippy toeing around
sidelines when you have guys that look like Christian Ellis,

(22:38):
that run very fast and that are very big, and
that are incentivized to go out and hit you and
hit you hard. So you know a lot of people
have been talking about these hits. Look, I know how
I feel about it. I think those are all both
legal hits.

Speaker 3 (22:57):
Very clean, very clean, very clean.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
And it's it's also like I can specifically remember times
like these where if this were to happen to our
quarterback the next week going into the season or the
next game. You know, our coach would show about ten
of these and say, hey, guys, look, if you're a
quarterback and you're around the sideline, get down, get out,

(23:20):
get down, get out, don't be tip and towing. So,
you know, hopefully Jackson Dart uses this as a learning experience.
He's a super fun guy to watch and play. He's
very competitive. But you can't live in this league like that.
And I was a product of that. You were a
product of that. When you're young, you think you're invincible.
You think you're invincible, you could take all the hits,
you try to break the tackles, and then you don't.

(23:42):
You forget that there's pursuit and this ain't college where
there's other guys that are gonna come and blow you
up because everyone's getting paid. But uh, did you see
did you see alis knock off? The the piece of
the helmet on Gunner? Is gun show good?

Speaker 2 (24:00):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (24:00):
I think he's good.

Speaker 2 (24:01):
I think he's good. That's your boy. I never played
look Gunner, but everyone talked about him. Everyone loves him,
and I think he went to the Steelers for a
little bit as well, didn't he for the last couple of.

Speaker 1 (24:12):
Years he was at the Steelers. Yeah, he's in New York.

Speaker 3 (24:15):
He's a good player. I like watching him.

Speaker 2 (24:16):
He's kind of kind of electric out there on the
special teams.

Speaker 1 (24:21):
He always does this. Man, that's what you know as
a returner on these plays. You have your set track
that the return coach or whatever the coach tells you.
Your track is you got to go here and you
got to find a lane, stick your foot in the
ground and go and gun show will do that. And
boy did he He picked the wrong lane to go

(24:42):
down because he got He got hit pretty hard.

Speaker 2 (24:46):
Let's let's go back to that hit that he put
on Jackson Direk Christian Ellis's hit, and I kind of
want to talk about the aftermath of the hit.

Speaker 3 (24:53):
Actually it's a hit. Was fabulous, It was clean. Uh.

Speaker 2 (24:57):
It kind of probably put a perspective into jackson dark
mind out, like, oh my gosh, that was that was Yeah,
He's taken a lot of it, but this was one
of the biggest ones I think he took all year.
Like he's probably Jackson Diary's probably okay, I'm learning my lesson.

Speaker 3 (25:10):
I got a slide.

Speaker 2 (25:11):
But what I really liked about this this hit was
the aftermath. So the New York Giants, a couple of
those players thought it was a dirty hit. It was
not a dirty hit at all. So THEO Johnson ran
up to Christianalyis uh and actually got a personal file
for roughing or whatever personal following unnecessary roughness, And he

(25:34):
ran full speed up to Christianallis and tried decking him.

Speaker 3 (25:38):
What did Christianellis do? He kept his composure, but he
did a chill. He kept his chill, and that's.

Speaker 2 (25:44):
Why he's the chillest Dude of the Week presented by
Cory's Light right now. And he kept his composure and
he kept his chill. But the thing that I loved
about it is he didn't let the Giant players toss
him around. He still held his ground. So he want
to get a penalty as well. So THEO Johnson comes up,
tries deckingham doesn't deck him. He gets unnecessary roughness. The

(26:08):
number sixty one offensive lignment literally tries to grab Christianaalis
and throw Christianallis out of the club. You could you
go back? He tried throwing him, and Christian Alis just
kept his composure but also want to let him rag
down him around and was like nah, and sixty one
kind of looked like a fool because of it. But
why I love this situation is because I keep saying

(26:29):
he kept his composure but and he didn't get thrown
out thrown around like a rag doll, but he didn't
get unnecessary roughness penalty as well. And that just shows
how well coach this new England Patriots team is. Is
that you let the Giants get the fifteen yard penalty
while you're just sitting there and not getting thrown around.

(26:50):
Christianalyis hat tipped off to you for having such a
great hit, but then also not losing your cool after
these players come, but we're coming after you, you know
to the play.

Speaker 1 (27:01):
That was Yeah, that's leadership. That is big leadership right there.

Speaker 3 (27:06):
Shows what type of team this is.

Speaker 2 (27:08):
And you can't beat this team because they're going to
beat themselves. That goes back to that they're not going
to have any of those dumb penalties. They're so well
coached they know if they do everything correct, it's going
to give them the best chance to win these football games.
And that's what they're doing on a continuous basis every week, christianais.
You know, great plays by you bringing the heat and

(27:28):
the hit stick to the table, but also you know,
leading by example when things, you know, when the scuffles
start happening, and not following for it to get a
fifteen yard penalty as well.

Speaker 1 (27:39):
Yeah, that's that's big league ball right there. That's a professional.
That's what you call it pro. And lastly, before we
go on the chill, chill is due to the week
presented by Corps Light. He was asked Christianellis at the podium,
He's like the reporter asked him, Hey, what kind of
message do you think it's sent to the opposing offense quarterback?

(28:00):
And he said, point blank, make sure to slide. Make
sure to slide. Then what'd Rabes say on it? Rabe said,
I certainly, Mike Rabel on if team fed off of
Christian Ellis's two massive hits, Coach Rabe says, I certainly

(28:23):
did I think our fans did I think our team did?
It's weekly reminded of a quarterback, our quarterback. I wouldn't
get too cute over by the sidelines. Then Jackson Dart
his quote on this, we're not playing soccer out here,
you're gonna get hit. Things happen. It's part of the game.

Speaker 2 (28:46):
You know, Joel's I love all three of those quotes,
Christian Alice, and then you got Coach Rabel and that
I absolutely loved Jackson.

Speaker 3 (28:55):
Darts quote as well. I mean, we're not playing soccer
out here.

Speaker 2 (28:58):
I've been using that line, and every kid that plays
football has been using that line, that soccer line here
in America since you were a kid. And there's been
big hits on the football field when you're outside playing
backyard football or flag football.

Speaker 3 (29:12):
Or anything like that. So I gotta get props to
all three of them. And like Rabel said, the fans
fed off of it. He fed off of it.

Speaker 2 (29:19):
I was on my couch watching the game, and I
fed off the hit too, Like I started cheering. I
was loving it because it does send a message to
the quarterbacks as well.

Speaker 3 (29:28):
And I hate when quarterbacks get cute and they really.

Speaker 2 (29:31):
Don't get punished for it, and they can get they
pick up an extra five to ten yards because the defender,
you know, get your backs off and like, oh.

Speaker 3 (29:38):
I can't hit him.

Speaker 2 (29:39):
He's on the sideline, and then he keeps taking off
without stepping out of bounce. So that's why I really
love that hit too, because I hate when a quarterback
pulls that off.

Speaker 1 (29:48):
You know, I instantly thought like, is that too hard
of a hit on a quarterback? Or are they gonna flag
him even if he's in bounds? Like that's what my
initial thought was, because that's you know, I feel bad
for a lot of the defenders. They got a lot
of rules, you know what I mean, and you can't
touch those quarterbacks. But he kept his chill. Boy, did

(30:09):
Christianellis keep his chill? Oh?

Speaker 3 (30:12):
He's called as the Rockies.

Speaker 1 (30:14):
He's cold. And that was the chillest dude of the week.
