What does the Bible really say about the mark of the beast? Is it something we could take without realizing it, or is there more to the story than what we see on social media? Granger and AntMan open the Bible and trace this question through Revelation and beyond, looking closely at what Scripture teaches about worship, allegiance, and the marks that truly matter.

The conversation also touches on how past generations feared things like credit cards or Social Security numbers, how rumors spread today on TikTok, and why we should be cautious about building theology from headlines and speculation. Instead, the focus stays on what God has revealed and how believers can find peace in His promises.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Granger Smith Podcast without some lighthearted moments. From dove season and college football to Labor Day birthdays, the talk weaves between everyday life and deeper truth. In the end, listeners are reminded to turn their eyes away from fear and speculation and place their hope firmly on Christ.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Got an email today that's probably very important talking about
the mark of the Beast.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
What is it? Who is it?

Speaker 1 (00:09):
Can we accidentally have the mark at the beast on
our forehead or on our right hand? And something that
may really pertain to this that we should think about
right now, right unpack everything on this podcast. Here we are, buddy,

(00:32):
me and you are a man an empty red couch.
Try to call Tyler you know Ambers wrestling kids. But
you and I are going to talk because this is
gonna be a good episode.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
Yeah it is. I'm looking forward to this one.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
I used to I used to see these kind of
things come up, these kind of emails come up, and
I was kind of I kind of loathed them, like
here here we go. But now I'm really looking at
these as more of an opportunity for me to grow
and to to maybe help clear up some understanding and

(01:11):
for new people that have never heard the podcast that
don't go back to, you know, the older ones. I
think I think it's a relevant question. And I can't
think of anybody better than you sitting right here in
this room. We would wrestle through this.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
That's it has been fun the last I mean several
episodes where we've taken. You've always answered emails, but these
particular ones we've jumped into have made us not only
wrestle with the conversation but also with the scripture and
how God speaks through his word even yes still today, Yes,
it is living and it applies to twenty twenty five.

(01:45):
And this is proof. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
I'm not interested in my opinion. No, no, no, not
at all.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
I want to look through im. I'm not interested in mine.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
You're not. Yeah, I want to look at everything with
the biblical lens. I want to go to as much
scripture as we can. For sure, we wouldn't typically do
that in a sermon. We would We wouldn't want to
if I'm preaching, you don't want to, you know, play
Bible gymnastics and just go all over the Bible. But
here on the podcast, in this in this forum, we
could go, oh, that's just out of another one. You know,

(02:15):
let's you know, flip through to this one. But are
you dove hunter?

Speaker 2 (02:21):
You know I can't say that I am actively I've
been one time? Does that, kid? Does that make me
a dove hunter?

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Sure?

Speaker 2 (02:27):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (02:29):
Is making you a Christian? Go to church? One time?
Is that is that. Yeah, then no, not dove hunting either.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
Yeah, no, I'm not a dove hunt. I do like
I do like dove hunting one time I went.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
This is the first podcast during dove season to be
released in twenty twenty five, and should we take these
out it's as it's airing. I'm pretty sure I have
not gone yet. But it's hard. It's hard because of
my duties at the church, for one, and because of
Lincoln's duty at school. Sure it's I can't just pull
Yankeem out of school to go during the week, and

(03:02):
I can't do an overnight weekend trip. So we're really
kind of regulated to saturdays. Go on a on a
Friday after school, maybe spend the night, and then hunt
Saturday morning.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
That's also college football now.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
But then that's also college football. College football has always
been connected to the deaf season. That's always the thing.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
If you're if your team's not playing, you have time
to go hunt, or if they are, you schedule around it.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
It's all part of it. It's all part of it.
So that if you do several guys in the hunt,
then in Texas it's always been get up. You know,
you want to be out there at first light and
you want to get as many dove as you can
make it back by breakfast in the first game at
eleven am, and then everyone can because then you could
watch that eleven am game during the heat of the
day and not all. Yeah, but the problem is if

(03:49):
your team's playing the six o'clock game and you got
to go out there and you know, do a little
dove hunting while they're while they're playing, but you get
to make it back by the second half.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
All right, and if you know they're not a good
team this year, then you just missed out on the
heart day.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
Then you loved of Honting even more than thankful for
the distraction.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
Do you like Labor Day? Like do you like Memorial Days?
It's a very respectful holiday, but it's also a time
of like where you're everybody's kind of getting into summer.
But Labor Day. We work on Labor Day.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
So it's different for me because Labor Day is my birthday.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
Yeah, so it's always.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
Been connected to that and literally my mom went in
labor on Labor Day.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
Wow. Yeah, how ironic.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
And back in the day when you and I were
growing up, we started school on Labor Day. Yeah, no longer.
Does that happen? These kids started school in early September.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
Yeah, two weeks before.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Yeah, yeah, but now it's in August. So because of that,
I've always said, yeah, I like labor Day. It's my birthday,
you know, growing up as a kid, I would love
Labor Day.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
Happy birthday.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Thank you, yes, thank you.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
Yeah, you're still younger than me.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
When does this podcast come out?

Speaker 2 (04:59):
Well, Tuesday? What day is that? It's your birthday, isn't it.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
I don't know my birthday. What day it falls on?
It's the fourth. Oh, my birthday comes out? It's a
it's a Thursday, Thursday. Yeah, So this was what must
be the second. People are listening right now, going they
don't know what day it is today.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
And you know when your birthday? Your birthday is the fourth. Yeah, okay,
so in two days you will have a birthday.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
Okay, that's what I thought. So it's the second today
because this comes.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
Out, I'm doing a day late since yesterday was Labor Day.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
I've got a couple. I've got a volleyball game playing
their rival London, a flag football game playing the rival Lincoln,
and then an elders meeting. So I've got a happy
birth half birthday evening.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
Cake it all of them?

Speaker 1 (05:53):
No, cake it in you take.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
It all of them? Halftime of the volleyball game between periods.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
Yeah, okay, that's that. You know, we don't record too
far ahead. Sometimes we have in the past, but as
we sit right now, we're only one week out, so
we're pretty relevant to the times. Yet we don't know
what our favorite college football teams have done this weekend.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
No, it's hard to say. What time is your game
on Saturday at six pm? Here's six months at five?

Speaker 1 (06:21):
Yeah, Texas A and m Oklahoma singers.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
That's right.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
We don't play each other this year. We will soon,
you texted me.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
Yeah, I'm excited that part of the shakeup that SEC
is doing one they go into nine games in the
conference starting next year, allows you three what they're calling rivals.
Really it's more of a pod than anything else. You
do have at least one rival in there. You'll play
Texas every single year starting in that but at LSU

(06:48):
and you will play we're playing Mississippi State, which that's
not a rival. That's why I say it's a pod. Missouri,
who we had a little thing with when we were
in the Big twelve but nothing crazy. And then Texas okay,
yeah at the state fair that.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
We do every other rests and Arkansas is and then
there for you too, it's us. It's LSU, Arkansas and Texas.
And it's strange that Arkansas US, I mean something something
I was I.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
Was wishing that it was Texas, A and M because
that would have been like real, what Big twelve was
or Big Eight? That's right, you know Big eight, right?
Big We were all in the Big Eight together.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
Yeah, West Conference before that, right, were you guys in
the Southwark?

Speaker 2 (07:24):
Yeah? Yeah, yeah. But that's what it will allow us
to do, though, is play each other at least every
two years, and then every four years will play a
game at home and away. So we'll you guys will
travel to Norman and we'll travel to College Station, you know,
one of one of those years every four years.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
So you're saying the banter on this podcast will be
better on those would be fun.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
Turn the front half of this into trash talk the
week of the game.

Speaker 1 (07:51):
The thing about Olklahoma and Texas A and M is
it's always been pretty friendly because we were like kind
of like allies. I remember I went and it was
in the core at A and M traveled with Revelly
to Norman, and I was walking into that environment, hearing
from longhorns like you're you're walking into the gates of hell,

(08:15):
like you had the Market the Beast on your forehead.
But yet I went. I went into Norman. I was like,
this is great, Like the people were super nice and respectful.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
Did you do that in nineteen ninety seven?

Speaker 1 (08:25):
It was nineteen nine?

Speaker 2 (08:28):
Okay, so I played on the drum line ninety nine
because I was going to say that we had a
we had a home game against an M in Norman
in ninety seven. I remember that. Yeah, yeah, interesting, Yeah,
same place, but no ninety nine I was. I was
in radio by then and working.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
Full time, and the me and you went all different
directions and ended up back here to answering questions about
Market the Beast.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
Interesting email.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
If anyone has a question, you could email podcast at
grangersmith dot com. I'd love to hear from you. It
could be about any topic, and today's a good one.
In fact, you have it right now, don't you have
this yet?

Speaker 2 (09:08):
I do? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (09:09):
Kelton is his name? Conro Texas. You want to read
this for us?

Speaker 2 (09:13):
Sure? Sys Hey Granger. I appreciate the way that you
tackle through topics with a steady, faith based approach. My
name is Kelton and I'm from Conrod, Texas. Lately, I've
been hearing a lot of stuff about the mark of
the beast on TikTok and how some folks think about it,
actually it could happen in our lifetime. I got to
admit it's kind of freaking me out, and I'm not

(09:33):
sure how seriously to take it. I'm not in a panic,
I'm not in panic mode, but it does make me
a little nervous to think that this might be something
that we could actually see. I guess I'm mainly just
scared that I'm I might get the mark of the
beast on accident and not know it until it's too late.
Could you possibly dive into this on the show. I'd

(09:54):
love to hear your take on whatever this something, whether
this is something that we need to be on the
lookout for, or if it's just one of those things
that's getting blown out of proportion. Thanks so much, love
you and your family, And.

Speaker 1 (10:08):
Yeah, thanks Kelton. And first let me say first, just
like first listening, I would advise against TikTok theology big time.
I mean I get I get videos from people that
I have the utmost respect for that are theological TikTok videos.

(10:33):
I've probably sent some, You've probably sent some to me.
Oh yeah. But at some level we should be careful
with how much theology we're consuming from social media and
how much we're consuming from a pastor that's preaching that
we trust, and from of course, from the Bible that

(10:54):
hopefully that pastor is actually preaching from. So you could
the you have to imagine that something on TikTok is
is going to give you a the shortest possible explanation
of a a very complex topic before we dive into

(11:15):
this email.

Speaker 2 (11:16):
It's meant to be sensational too, because it's odd.

Speaker 1 (11:18):
Because yeah, absolute attention, which is also part of the
reason we're talking about it on this podcast. Of course, sensational.
I mean, you know, we're not talking about another another
question that's just as exciting but boring for a thumbnail
on podcast title. So first of all, let's talk about
the the previous thoughts in our history of what the

(11:42):
mark of the Beast was. I know people thought it
was credit cards.

Speaker 2 (11:47):
That credit cards.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
Yeah, in the nineteen nineties. My dad, I don't think
he can't. He out rats outright said that it's the
market of the beast, But he did not get a
credit card for probably a dec after most people got
credit cards. Interesting, which is like, what when did they
first appear in then late eighties eighties?

Speaker 2 (12:07):
I think so maybe late seventies, early eighties.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
Maybe late seventies, early eighties. So my dad probably didn't
get one to like nineteen ninety five something like. He
held out with cash and checks for a long time,
worried that it would there would be a well, I
think he thought he thought about debt for one, but
he also thought, then does their a biblical connection to

(12:32):
people carrying around a card with all their you know,
currency on it?

Speaker 2 (12:39):
Now, are there dangerous to that? I think yes. I
mean we see it every day. We see where our
country is as a whole when it comes to the
debt that the majority of Americans hold and carry over
a month to month. So is that is that dangerous? Yes?
Is the market of the beast? Now?

Speaker 1 (12:56):
Caden's sitting in here running our video, Kaid, and have
you heard of any any people any ideas of other
mark of the beasts that have proven to be not
the market the beast off the top of your head,
because you're a different generation. You're twenty. I am twenty. Yes,
I didn't really grow up in a culture that talked
about Oh it's because of such.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
Yeah, I heard social security number.

Speaker 1 (13:23):
Oh that's right, I have heard that social security number.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
We gave you a number, and it's tied to your name.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
Yeah. Imagine that person that had six six six at
the end of your social security.

Speaker 2 (13:35):
Number that you have to think they had. They had
to skip that right for that sake. Hey, if you
have six six to six anywhere in order on your
social Security number, drop a comment on this podcast right now.
You don't have to give us the rest of the numbers,
just those three.

Speaker 1 (13:51):
So our phone number for after midnight, yeah, eight six
six six, O seven eighty three, eighty three. And at
one point I realized our phone number is eight six
six six.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
The dash changes, everything changes everything.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
We looked up earlier. We were discussing before we recorded
that you were thinking about the un left the six
six six seat open.

Speaker 2 (14:14):
It was probably a TikTok videos all, Okay, honestly, it
was like that. So they have all of these seats
at the United Nations. You've seen it with what's that
guy's name, Hans Group, whatever his name is that we're looking.
Dude looks like he wears a Star Trek uniform when
he's up there speaking. Oh yeah, that they You see
all these seats from all the nations out there, and

(14:36):
I've always heard that the seat number six, six to six,
which just happens to be right in the middle, dead
center at the very top, is left open.

Speaker 1 (14:43):
Oh and they're probably thinking that one day someone will
sit in that seat, see ushering in the final days,
and that will be great relation. Yes, and he will
be the anti Christ. That has got to be such
a rumor. That has gotta be fun.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
There's too many things that have to tie together for that.
But I mean, that was a that was and we
even we even asked chat GBTVA that was legit and
it was like, that's funny. That has actually you know,
gotten legs or whatever. But no, that's there's no truth
to it.

Speaker 1 (15:10):
Okay, So calm that's the first. Please comment below if
you're watching this podcast on YouTube, comment below if you
know anything about this un seat. I know nothing about
the un seat, but I would imagine that that's really
a sensational idea that there is a there's a vacant
seat in the middle of the floor six sixty six.
In one day a man will come in and he
will sit in that chair and declare himself the Christ,

(15:33):
and he will be the anti Christ chair.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (15:38):
The first thing about that that's interesting, Like the first
thought that pops in my head is if there was
such a chair that would require the powers that be
at the UN to actually believe that the Bible had
any kind of truth to it at all, right, which
would be really silly because they don't. So uh, if

(15:59):
there out such a chair that no, such a man
would sit in the chair, you know what I mean,
because it would be it would you would believe what
the Book of Revelation actually says that John wrote truth
and the and the truth is always distorted, not taking
his face value.

Speaker 2 (16:18):
And it's not a concert to he didn't show up
with a concert. Here's my seat, can you help me
find it?

Speaker 1 (16:22):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (16:23):
Oh, look, that that's it.

Speaker 1 (16:24):
And I hey, I'm just I'm just making stuff up here.
I'm not I don't know any about the UN seating,
so don't Maybe there is, but I'm I highly doubt there.

Speaker 2 (16:32):
Is, because you see, if there's a bunch of seats
though that pass the six hundred and sixty six the chair,
that they would just skip it.

Speaker 1 (16:42):
Hm hmm.

Speaker 2 (16:43):
There'd be somebody smart enough to go, hey, maybe we
don't put that cheer in here, just because.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
Well that person would be someone that believes the Bible,
but also in a superstitious way, which would be wrong
awesome though you can't. You can't have biblical truth and
be superstitious about it. Kind of like the hotels that'll
skip the thirteenth floor.

Speaker 2 (17:03):
That's right.

Speaker 1 (17:05):
I think hotels skips six sixty six on the door
as well, But that's not because they believe it's the
market the beast. They believe that it's just superstitious.

Speaker 2 (17:12):
I think that also, people would get their room number
and go, I'm not staying in the room. I'm not
staying there. I don't care.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
Yeah, you're at the you're at the hotel lobby at
it's some big Disney World hotel, and they go and
here are here's your roomkies you have six six six
and sixty six seven. They'd be like, nope, give.

Speaker 2 (17:31):
Change.

Speaker 1 (17:31):
So because of that they would lose money and they
just skipping that number exactly, which once again is superstition.
And we're going to get to something, and let's do
I want to I'm gonna talk about something before we
get into more. Let's let's deal with six sixty six. Okay,
because this is I don't want to use the word funny,

(17:52):
but it's perhaps more interesting than funny. Revelation chapter thirteen.
This is the first time we see this. And uh.
Down at verse eighteen on in my Bible, it's the
bottom right of my page. It says, this costs for
wisdom because verse seventeen's talk about the number. We'll get

(18:14):
to that this calls for wisdom. Let the one who
has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it
is the number of a man, and his number is
six six six. But there's a little asterisk right there,
a little footnote, and at the bottom of my Bible
it says what that asterisk means, and it says some

(18:37):
manuscripts say six one six.

Speaker 2 (18:41):
It's a big difference.

Speaker 1 (18:43):
So point being, we don't even know necessarily if it
is six six six, because it could be six one six.
That changes everything for these Disney World hotels. Now they
got two hotels they break in. No one thinks of
it that way.

Speaker 2 (18:59):
Nobody had a problem staying in the room number six
one six.

Speaker 1 (19:02):
Where's that seat in the un If someone's sitting in
six one six, could we should look at that person?

Speaker 2 (19:06):
See who they are?

Speaker 1 (19:07):
Maybe? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (19:08):
Where they from?

Speaker 1 (19:08):
Who are they?

Speaker 2 (19:09):
Yeah? What special powers do they have? What?

Speaker 1 (19:11):
Yeah? This podcast can turn everybody upside down right now
because now everyone's checking the new number. We have looked
for centuries over six sixty six because we've been obsessed
with that translation.

Speaker 2 (19:23):
Someone's social Security number has a six one six in it,
their telephone number, their license plate on their car.

Speaker 1 (19:29):
What's the six to one and six area code? Who's that?

Speaker 2 (19:32):
I don't know?

Speaker 1 (19:33):
Look that up six one six area code. That the
Antichrist might be born in that city? Get you rite
in the TikTok theology coming out of clips from this podcast.
Now oh man with some ominous music, some.

Speaker 2 (19:49):
Oh Man? What is it? Grand Rapids, Michigan?

Speaker 1 (19:51):
Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Speaker 2 (19:53):
Yeah, one of the favorite places. I love them. Yeah,
Grand Rappids can't be Grand rapp It sounds like the
anti crisis coming out of Grand Rapids. Now, no way right, Yep? Yep,
I just read it.

Speaker 1 (20:02):
Nothing bad. It's like Nazareth, nothing bad comes out of
grand Rapids, said the opposite in the Bible. But you know, we're.

Speaker 2 (20:11):
Being lighthearted about this, but it is a.

Speaker 1 (20:13):
We're getting there. We're getting the heavier things. We're going
to start light. We'll be some other things that the
people have talked about being the mark of the beast.

Speaker 2 (20:23):
Ai AI for sure. And to be honest, if if
you go to other videos associated with this one right now,
it's likely that there is one that says the Antichrist
is Ai, or it could be Ai. I saw I
think it was Alibeth stuck you talking about it the
other day.

Speaker 1 (20:42):
Did you watch what she said?

Speaker 2 (20:43):
I didn't watch it look that up, but I saw.
I saw the title and it said that something about
the Antichrist and Ai.

Speaker 1 (20:49):
Alibeth is like minded with us. We've been you know,
we've done a lot of stuff together. And I know
that she wouldn't be superstitious or you know, thinking thinking
that that we'll get to we'll get to what I'm
gonna say. But what are some things that people could
sign up? Because the email from Kelton says, I don't
wanna what does you say, I don't want to accidentally.

Speaker 2 (21:11):
Accidentally get it. Get it, Yeah, accidentally take the mark
A lot of people have now more recently was vaccines, vaccine, vaccines. Yeah,
it had a special chip inside this vaccine that is
now implanted in your body. Heard that that is the
mark of the beast.

Speaker 1 (21:28):
And all of these theories. There are people listening right now.
All of all of them have a group that follow
each theory and go nailed it.

Speaker 2 (21:36):
And you can find so the spider web is so
massive off of it too. Once you find two things,
two or three things that connect, it becomes this massive deal,
you know, when you're looking for conspiracies like that. Yeah,
what else merceanon that was around twenty twenty maybe it

(21:57):
was twenty sixteen. Had to do with with Donald Trump
the election and the the kind of secret society that
was helping, you know, the underground that was growing. That
was you know, And it's funny. I heard somebody say
just the other day, did you we ever find out

(22:17):
what QAnon was?

Speaker 1 (22:18):
Like? No, No, it just kind of went away, just clickbait.

Speaker 2 (22:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (22:28):
You know, when I first started this podcast, it seemed
pretty far fetched to set up scripts and filming schedule
and logos and the music that goes in between. It
was super overwhelming and every day seemed like I had
to introduce a new decision that needed a new answer. Right. Well,

(24:41):
go deeper, what is the beast? Kaden said it earlier.
The beast, being Satan, the devil, Lucifer, whatever you want
to call him, the anti Christ, not the spirit of
him as as would be in the world, but the
Antichrist himself.

Speaker 2 (25:00):
That's right.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
That's the beast often often looked at in Revelation from
John as the beast. So we see the scripture in
Revelation thirteen. This is when this is when we see
the number six sixty six. It's where we see the
footnotes saying it also could be sixty one six. The

(25:25):
verse seventeen, Chapter thirteen says, or let me go to sixteen.
Also it causes all both small and great, both rich
and poor. Let me go back to what what that is.
We need to always get contexts when we read the
Bible verse fifteen and it what is it, verse fourteen
The beast. I'm sorry, I'm going backwards here. The beast.

(25:48):
So the beast was allowed to give breath to the
image of the beast, and so that the image of
the beast might even speak and might cause those who
would not worship the image of the beast to be slain.
So that's something right there. Let's take this. That's verse
fifteen of Revelation thirteen. Whoever the beast is against anyone

(26:10):
who doesn't worship the beast. Okay, that's just plain and simple.
So worship this is we're seeing this idea of worship
being introduced to this idea. And then verse sixteen, And
it causes all both small and great, both rich and poor,
both free and slave, to be marked on the right

(26:31):
hand or the forehead why verse seventeen, so that no
one could buy or sell unless he has the mark.
And then comma that is the name of the beast
or the number of its name. At this point you go,

(26:53):
what's he talking about? And John answers you by saying,
in verse eighteen.

Speaker 2 (26:58):
This culture wisdom, wisdom is needed.

Speaker 1 (27:01):
Yeah, your your translation says, wisdom is needed. Let the
one who has understanding calculate the number. Your translation says, let.

Speaker 2 (27:09):
The one with understanding solve the meaning.

Speaker 1 (27:11):
Solve the meaning of the number of the beast. You
could take the Greek for any of these, any of
these ways. Yeah, And for it is the number of
a man, and his number is sixty six six or
sixty one six, not exactly sure, little obscure, And honestly
John didn't know either. The author of this was writing

(27:31):
from the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, prophesying to something
that he was seeing but didn't understand.

Speaker 2 (27:37):
How to He interpreted the best he could at that time. Right, Yes,
and through the Holy Spirit as well of him of
what he was seeing, that of things that he had
never seen before which have yet to happen. Right, So,
how do you explain something that you've never seen before
but it hasn't happened yet. That's right. This is what
you get out of revelation so much there you know,

(27:59):
in other parts that doesn't have as much to do
with the Beast, you hear him talk about different things
and and you go, well, if he saw this, I
could see how he would say it was that that
one of in particular, was like a flying scorpion or something.
We don't want to get too off topic, but if
you look at apache helicopters, yeah, it's like, oh, that's

(28:20):
a I could totally see how he could look at
that and go, I've never seen anything like this before.
Kind of looks like a scorpion and it's flying, you know. Yep.

Speaker 1 (28:31):
Yeah, this is all in these these few chapters when
we start talking about the these signs to come from
that that are flowing from the seals of the Great Book,
the break the Great Scroll that the Lamb uh broke open,
broke open the seals of the scroll in Revelation five.
John didn't understand this, and just like Isaiah prophesying of

(28:52):
the coming Messiah didn't know what he was writing either.
He was just writing under the Holy Spirit's inspiration for
a four a specific purpose of a people that he
did not know.

Speaker 2 (29:04):
And he told him to write it down. And then
there were parts in there too. He said, don't write
this down.

Speaker 1 (29:09):
That's right. So I want to look at I want
to look at something first. If I turned my page
in my Bible right after that six sixty six, it's
the next next line is going into fourteen, and it
says in that verse one of at the end of
verse one, chapter fourteen, that there's another forehead writing here.

(29:35):
Then I looked and behold on the mountain Zion stood
the Lamb, which is the Christ, which is also the
lion of the tribe of Judah, and with him one
hundred and forty four thousand, who had his name and
his father's name written on the foreheads. So there it is,
there's another forehead. We see another forehead in chapter seven,

(29:57):
and this is another positive forehead of the negative and
the positive. Yeah, and we'll see this throughout this conversation,
that the mark of the beast always reflects an opposite
image of the mark of a child of God.

Speaker 2 (30:09):
That's right.

Speaker 1 (30:11):
Chapter seven, verse three. Do not harm the earth or
the sea, or the trees until we have sealed the
servants of our God on their foreheads. So that's another
another marking of the sealed. Who will be sealed. We
could discuss that, but I want to I want to
make a jump here, and I'm going to lose track

(30:31):
of my Bible. I'm going to make a jump back
to Ezekiel.

Speaker 2 (30:34):
Okay, because.

Speaker 1 (30:39):
Chapter nine of Ezekiel, once again, here we are. Here
we are with another prophet, Ezekiel, now seeing a vision
under inspiration of the Holy Spirit and writing down without
fully understanding what he's seeing. He's writing it for a
future generation because the Lord told him to write it.

(31:01):
Verse Chapter nine, verse three. Now, the glory of the
God of Israel had gone up from the cherub on
which it rested, to the threshold of the house. And
he called to the man clothed in linen, who had
the writing case at his waist, and the Lord verse
four said to him passed through the city through Jerusalem,

(31:22):
and put a mark on the foreheads of the men
who sigh and groan over all the abominations that are
committed in it. So this ceiling marking foreheads, the right
hand which is always the hand of power, the hand

(31:44):
of strength, the right hand, right hand, forehead. You see
the right hand with the strength, and the forehead with
the decision making. We see the star at the Bible.
So this is not just for the market the beast,
and it's not just negative, because we see marks for
positive in March for the negative. Sure, So from this

(32:07):
we should think, we should think that it's not only
getting the mark by accident. To Kelton's email, you can't
get it by accident because it's always connected to worship. Worship, Yes,
you said that earlier.

Speaker 2 (32:22):
Did you have a verse for that, Yeah, And I
mean it talks about there in chapter thirteen you backed
up to when you were backing up there in fifteen.
He was then permitted to give life to the statue
so that it could speak. Then the statue of the
Beast commanded that anyone refusing to worship, where are you,

(32:43):
it must die. I'm sorry. Chapter Revelation thirteen. Chapter chapter thirteen,
verse fifteen.

Speaker 1 (32:48):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's where were a second Aye.

Speaker 2 (32:50):
If you're refusing to worship it, you must die. So
there and then later on then obviously it says that
he gave them the mark. The worship was record wired
first before the mark happens. You know what you're doing
before the mark is taken. It also is again over
in made a mat a note of this. Let's say

(33:13):
back up, Oh that was thirteen, where's fourteen? Nine and ten?
Then a third angel followed them, shouting, anyone who worships
the beast and his statue, or who accepts his mark
on the warhead or on the hand, must drink the
wine of God's anger. It has been poured out full

(33:34):
strength into God's cup of wrath. So the worship and
the mark accompany each.

Speaker 1 (33:39):
Other, continuing on, and he will be tormented with fire
and sulfur in the presence of the Holy angels, and
in the presence of the lamb.

Speaker 2 (33:47):
The lamb.

Speaker 1 (33:48):
The lamb is there, right, the Lamb is there pouring
out judgment. Often we think of, well, we don't want
you to be separated from Christ forever. Well, he's here, Yeah,
he's here, pouring out wrath, and the smoke of the
torment goes up forever and ever, and they have no
rest day or night, these worshippers. That's what my translation says.

Speaker 2 (34:10):
What was your saying for they who have worshiped the beast,
worshippers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives
the mark.

Speaker 1 (34:21):
Of its name? What does your translations say on that?

Speaker 2 (34:24):
Basically the same thing and his statue and have accepted
the mark of his could.

Speaker 1 (34:28):
Pull up the Greek, but I'm gonna I'm gonna just
go with you, and I have different translations. What are
you reading out.

Speaker 2 (34:33):
Of I'm reading n LT, n LT, I'm in the ESV.

Speaker 1 (34:37):
So we could pull up the Greek to be absolutely sure,
but that that last line is interesting. These worshippers of
the beast and its image and whoever receives the mark
of its name. We see two things here. We see
worshiping and receiving. And that's sounds exactly like salvation. That

(35:03):
sounds exactly like conversion. There's a song we sing scripture
songs with the kids, and John one twelve is one
of our favorite songs to sing in the morning. For
all who did receive him, who believed in his name,
he gave them the right to become children of God.

(35:25):
Who who received him, believed, worshiped, received, were marked, given
the right to become adopted, ransomed, restored, redeemed, sons, co
heirs of the kingdom. Marked, marked, you could say, marked
on the forehead. You could say, yeah, all mind, body, strength, soul, surrendered, given,

(35:53):
laid at the foot of the Lamb, who for his
sake we are saved, who for his sake died and
was raised the land that was slain.

Speaker 2 (36:02):
Amen.

Speaker 1 (36:04):
So that's the gospel, and the opposite of the gospel
is same language worship, receive the image the deity, the
false deity, and the mark, and be marked by the
image of the beast. Opposite language Gospel language, anti Gospel language.

Speaker 2 (36:30):
Allegiance as well. Allegiance. That word comes to mind, allegiance.
Where's your allegiance? If you're taking the mark, you've taken
an allegiance. You have worshiped either the Lamb or the beast,
and your allegiance has been aligned to one or the other.

Speaker 1 (36:46):
Yep. That verse nine of Chapter fourteen. If anyone worships
the beast and its image and receives a mark on
his forehead or on his hand, he will drink the
wine of God's wrath poured full strength into the cup

(37:09):
of his anger. So those, let's flip it, those that
worship Christ as Lord and receive him as lord of
their life, will be marked as children of God, and
will the cup will be passed from them. The cup
is poured out from the Christ. The cup of God's

(37:31):
wrath was poured out onto the Son of God on
the altar of the cross. And we are spared from
the pouring out of that sacrifice. And we are spared
from that. So once again the mark of the beast
we see exact opposite of gospel language. And just like
you can't accidentally take the mark of the beast, you

(37:53):
actually you also can't accidentally be received into the Kingdom
of Heaven.

Speaker 2 (37:57):
Right, It's a conscious thing.

Speaker 1 (38:00):
Neither or accidents. Both require worship an active receiving.

Speaker 2 (38:05):
Anyone who worships the beast in his statue or accepts
the mark on the forehead or the hand must drink
the wine of God's wrath. What do we do in communion?
We drink the blood represents the blood.

Speaker 1 (38:22):
That represents what was poured out. Right, Yeah, yeah, John
three sixteen believes. Whoever believes John five twenty four, whoever
hears my word and believes Him who sent me is sealed,
or is marked, or has gains, is imputed with righteousness.

(38:45):
All these things, all these words work together and positive
for the Gospel, in opposite for the mark of the
beast Paul's letters, Romans ten to nine. If you confess
with your mouth, that is a an active, an active worship.
If you confess with your mouth actively the Jesus is Lord,

(39:07):
and believe, or you could use that word receive. I'm
fine with that. Receive in your heart that God raised
him from the dead. You will be saved. Believe is
another way of is another way of saying, an activated faith.
We're saved by faith, right, saved by grace through faith.

(39:28):
And faith when it's active and it's always active, is belief. Believe,
repent and believe right Galatians four. We receive adoption as sons,
so we receive God adoption of sons, and God sends
the spirit of a son into our hearts. Crying about

(39:50):
We said that just the other day on the podcast
Ephesians one in him. You also when you heard the
Word of Truth, the Gospel of your salvation. So this
is let's stop right there, because this is how we're saved.
We're saved by hearing and hearing through the Word of Christ.
Faith comes from hearing, the Bible says, and hearing through
the Word of Christ. So Ephesians one says, when you

(40:13):
heard the Word of Truth, the Gospel of your salvation,
it's like activation and believed in him or received him.
The Pheasans one says, when this happens, you're sealed with
the promised Holy Spirit. That's another language that sounds like
the opposite of being sealed with the mark of the beast.

Speaker 2 (40:32):
Have another seal for you, okay, John ten, Verse twenty eight.
Jesus speaking, I give them eternal life, and they will
never perish, and no one can snatch them away from me.
Sealed Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (40:49):
That.

Speaker 1 (40:50):
In continuation of that, Jesus says, my sheep, my sheep,
hear my voice. I know them, and they follow me.

Speaker 2 (40:57):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (40:58):
I give them eternal life, They'll never perish, and no
one snatched them out of my hand.

Speaker 2 (41:03):
Speaking of what our friend here wrote to us, thing
he's talking about. TikTok. I saw a video on TikTok
I wanted to send you uh, and it was people
who try who weren't the shepherd speaking to sheep in
a field, in a real field, real sheep, and they
do the same call. The sheep don't even look up
from the grass ever until their shepherd says it, and

(41:27):
they all look up and they all come running. It's
just a beautiful, beautiful picture of that scripture coming to
life in real life in front of you, with real sheep.

Speaker 1 (41:38):
And you know what they you know what they would
do if a wolf came in? Is that? Is that
not the most obvious question I could possibly ask? They
would run?

Speaker 2 (41:46):
You'd run?

Speaker 1 (41:47):
Yeah, of course they don't recognize their shepherd. But where
were they run? To the shepherd?

Speaker 2 (41:53):
To the shepherd?

Speaker 1 (41:54):
Yeah yeah, yeah. So a question what's the guy named Kelton?
Question to Kelton is whose name is on youh Kelton?
Whose rule are you under? What are you worshiping? And

(42:16):
I don't say are you worshiping? I don't say that
because everyone's worshiping something. Everyone's worshiping something. It's not a
matter of if it's only what or who? So Kelton.
Are you worshiping the Lord Jesus? Have you heard the gospel? Believed,

(42:37):
repented from your sins, been baptized as a as an
act of obedience, is a following salvation? Or are you
still outside? Are you still a sheep on a mountain side,
available for to be stolen by a wolf, to be killed,
to be sealed. And that's the question for us all

(43:04):
because as we as we much as we dig into
this stuff, and we want to be we want to
be TikTok heroes and figure out the code of the
one hundred and forty four thousand, or the the the
code of the the sixty sixty six aka six y

(43:27):
one six, or we want to figure out like that,
like this is a the national treasure. You know, we're
we're looking at the treasure map trying to figure out
the way in. I want to say that speaking of
the hundred forty four thousand, because I know that comes
up and there's a couple of guys I'm discipling right now.

(43:50):
We ran through this, and the correct answer to the
one hundred and forty four thousand, as we don't know,
No one knows. Of his witnesses say they know but
literally in verse nine, after this, after the ceiling of
the one hundred and forty four thousand, verse nine says,
after this, I looked and behold a great multitude that

(44:12):
no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes
and peoples and languages, standing before the throne, before the lamb,
clothed and white robes, with palm branches in their hands,
and crying out with a loud voice, salvation belongs to
our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.
So oh. And then as we continue down in verse eleven,

(44:36):
and all the angels were standing around the throne, and
all the elders, and all the four living creatures, and
they all fell in their faces before the throne, and
they worship God. So the as much as we could
read this as a national treasure and try to figure
out the code and try to use numerology. It's a
great example. You said earlier, a lot of people kind.

Speaker 2 (44:57):
Of associate the six onths, the six onths six, and
the sixty sixty six that it has something to do
with numerology and how words have Each letter has a
different number, and you add them up, and you do
somebody's name and an equals six hundred and sixty six
six six hundred and sixty six, that that's who it is,
and or six one six whatever. And it does say

(45:20):
that wisdom is needed here.

Speaker 1 (45:22):
Wisdom's needed. Stop looking at the mark of the beast
to see what it is. Yeah, in fact, don't look
at it at all, don't look at it at all,
because let me go to John. Three. Nicodemus said to him,
how can these things be? Jesus answered him, Are you
the teacher of Israel? And you do not understand these things? Truly? Truly,

(45:45):
I say to you. We speak of what we know
and bear witness to what we have seen. But you
do not receive our testimony. If I told you earthly things,
and you do not believe, how could you believe if
I tell you heavenly things. No one has ascended into
heaven except for he who descended from heaven, the son
of Man. And Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness.

(46:07):
So must the Son of Man be lifted up, that
whoever believes in him may have eternal life. Look to him,
Look at Christ, lift it up on the cross, look
to him. Stop looking for the beast. Stop looking at
six sixty six or six y one six, or numerology
or the end times, or the wars or the rumors
of wars. Stop looking at it and look to Christ,

(46:30):
and you will be sealed and man for him. You'll
be adopted as a son and daughter of the king.
Look to him, and everything else will be fine for
most people listening right now, incutting me and you, Let's
say there is a high probability that we will die
before any of this prophecy is fulfilled. Whether it even

(46:54):
has been fulfilled in the past or it will be
in the future, it doesn't matter nearly as much as
receiving the Lord Jesus as your savor. Believe in him,
man tent and be baptized, and you'll be saved, and
then nothing else matters. It's so simple, but that message
doesn't do well on TikTok. Doesn't do well talking about

(47:18):
a un seat that's a vacant right now. Yeah, So.

Speaker 2 (47:25):
In second Timothy, a lot of people are scared about
this too. And I knew when I growing up these
type of It's funny that all these are coming back
up with more wisdom, I hope, and maturity in life.
That these topics were things that came up in conversations
in a church as a youth, you know, as seventh, eighth, ninth,

(47:50):
tenth grader. Yeah, and the same thing is that if
you are scared, you're fearful about this tewod Timothy after
one verse seven. For God has not given us a
spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and
self discipline. Look to him.

Speaker 1 (48:11):
That's another song we sing every morning.

Speaker 2 (48:14):
That's cool.

Speaker 3 (48:14):
Second Timothy one seven, second Timothy one seven for God
gave us a spirit not of fear, but of power
and love and self control.

Speaker 2 (48:26):
So when's this album come out?

Speaker 1 (48:28):
I don't know thinking about it, I want to get
off yah. Yeah, but yeah, my kids sing that and
literally Maverick that those those that truth has ingrained in
him so much that he'll be scared in the middle
of the night and he'll sing it to himself.

Speaker 3 (48:48):
God gave me a spirit not of fear.

Speaker 2 (48:50):
At four Yeah.

Speaker 1 (48:52):
Yeah, yes, war Here he says.

Speaker 3 (48:56):
When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.
When I am afraid, I put my trust in you God.
When I am afraid, I put my trust in you
saw him fifty six three. He does that in the morning. Yeah,
night Yeah, that's so cool.

Speaker 1 (49:13):
Yeah, if were gonna have a child life like faith
and believe the truth of those scriptures and not worry
about accidentally taking the mark of the beast instead looking
at Christ lifted up, you'll be saved, That's right. And
you also will have joy and rest and peace and
not a spirit of fear. And if you don't, you

(49:33):
will have all of those things. You will have fear,
you'll have anxiety and worry. I think Christians don't get
those things, but we have the ability to kill them.
It is as so much as we look to the Cross.

Speaker 2 (49:44):
Agreed. I hope that helps Kelton and all the other
Celtons too watching and listening today, Yeah, great stuff, dude.
