Do you want to start?

Speaker 4 (00:40):
You want me to start, I'll I'll just start off
with a nice, little, a little easy one just to
get the flow. Is going favorite cup of coffee, Camila,
what's your coffee order?

Speaker 1 (00:52):
Kick off? Coffee? Co ohka with the.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
I like an Americano with oh milk in it and
a little bit of honey and if if I'm feeling
festive like it fits fall, maybe a little pumpkin spice creamer.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
That's like definitely not dairy forward.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
Well, I'm not gonna lie.

Speaker 4 (01:16):
One day we were recording a podcast here in Miami
and uh I asked Amy because I live here, and
I was like, hey, come, you want me to bring
you some coffee? This bitch goes like, oh yeah, sure,
can I have like a latte, almond milk, please, a
little dash of honey.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
And I'm like, okay, what am I a barista?

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Like?

Speaker 3 (01:32):
You want me to take all your orders, every one.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
Those ingredients in your house? Bitch, you just didn't want
to make it for me?

Speaker 3 (01:38):
But did I If I'm gonna have my die, you did.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
You made it.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
And it was really good because many makes really fire coffee.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
Thank you, Thank you.

Speaker 4 (01:48):
My coffee order. By the way, I'm like plain chain,
but I'm also like a coffee guru. Obviously, I have
a coffee company and I love a pour over just nice.
I gotta I got away the coffee.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
I got a grind. I'm the right grind.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
And you don't have time to put fucking honey in
my Americana.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
That's crazy.

Speaker 4 (02:10):
And I just you know, hot water over those ground
beads and oh delicious.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
I just drank it straight black.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Yeah, I also do like a black Americano. But it
depends on like what I'm eating with it, Like if
I'm having breakfast with it, that's what I'm gonna do afterwards,
et cetera, et cetera.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Okay, I'll go next. What's your daily routine?

Speaker 3 (02:29):
Like routine, what's that.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
Honestly, what did you say? I saw you in New
York last week? It was Wednesday. You were like, since
I saw you, I've been to no y'all.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
Like I literally last week Monday.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
So I go Miami to New York, I saw you,
I did Austin, then I went to Dallas. Then I
went back to Austin, then I went to Denver, and
now I'm back in Miami, y'all all within nine days.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
Yeah, She's like, I've been to like six places since
I've seen you, truly.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
But if there is a routine when I'm here at
home in Miami, I do like to wake up and
after I brush my teeth blah blah blah, I put on.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
A bikini and I go on the balcony.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
You're insane.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
There's nothing that I would hate doing more than like
going into an ice bath im nearly upon waking up.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
I wait, wait, wait.

Speaker 3 (03:22):
Wait, no, no wait wait.

Speaker 4 (03:23):
There's mornings where I choose to do that, where I
choose to freeze myself. No, but there's mornings where I
just sit take the sun and I tan for the
first thirty minutes while I drink my coffee. So that's
part of my home routine. When I'm traveling, it's a rhythm. Yeah,
when I'm traveling, I've been trying to stick to one thing, y'all.
And that's my one advice, and I have been doing it,
and I'm so proud of myself. And it's just like,

(03:44):
just do a workout of day and it could be
a ten minute or it could be a thirty minute
or whatever. And I remember, Commy, I sent you a
video the other day and I was in the hotel
gym and I and then I took her peloton ride
Rag gets on.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
I almost died. My heart rate was through the roof.
I texted her.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
I was like, cause you were dying, You're so well.

Speaker 3 (04:01):
No, that class was really hard on me.

Speaker 4 (04:05):
It was a it was a higher like what do
you call it, like rank class? It was a higher Yeah,
it was like this difficulty was like a seven out
of ten.

Speaker 3 (04:13):
I was like, maybe it was like a ten out
of ten.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
I know. Sometimes I'm like I don't know who the
fuck is rating these classes, rating them a six, But
like that's crazy because I was like nine out of ten.

Speaker 3 (04:22):
Facts facts all.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
Right, next question, wait, my daily routine.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Oh sorry, so fucking rude okay, so my daily routine.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
I okay, So I finally like just moved.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
So leading up to this moment, I had been in
shambles because I was traveling like all summer, and then
I was also like working up to like releasing the
song and trying to find.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
A place to live.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
Summer.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
Yeah, yeah, the summer was insane, but especially like the
past two months have been extra insane. But finally I'm
like settled into the new place, yay, and I finally
have like a dedicated workout space where like I don't
have to like move my shit around.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
Very grateful for that.

Speaker 3 (05:08):
But your treadmill is no longer at the entrance of
your apartment.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
Exactly, so like it has a designated space for the
pol's not trying as it should. I'm actually upgrading to
the tread Plus, which I'm really excited about because it's
like a big Mama and the screen's bigger and it swivels.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
So now I can do my boot camps.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
But I've been waking up every morning and getting a
workout in, and I've been doing a lot of pilates,
so I've been doing either it's always always like around
thirty to forty minutes, but I just wake up, I
have a coffee. I give myself time to wake up too.
I'm not an immediate workout person. I like wake up
slowly and I get the sun. So I have my
coffee in the sun in a blanket and the like

(05:47):
get my Circainian rhythm going hopefully. Sometimes sometimes it's too early,
but I'm not just like go in, do a workout and.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
Then I'll start my day. So I'm like, honestly, I'm
locked the fuck in right now.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
So I'm like working out in the morning, going to work,
then coming back, and then singing at night.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
So that has been like my routine.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
That way I can progress pop star fucking academy, bitch.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
This is what's happening right now. We are going to
make improvements in every area of our lives.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
We are focused at work, we are good coworkers good.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
I'm just I'm I'm in a good place right now.

Speaker 3 (06:23):
Love love that.

Speaker 4 (06:24):
But also when you think about like the calendar, we
it's October already or November?

Speaker 3 (06:29):
What's this podcast long? Whenever?

Speaker 4 (06:31):
Well, we think about the calendar, it's November, and so
I always think about it, like close out that year strong,
you know, like do do your best, do your best
with what you can.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
So you're on a really good I love that. I
love I love the the aura you're bringing, especially to
the end of your year.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
Yeah, I just like.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
I've been tired of like not having a routine too
to that point. It's like tough when like you're like, Okay,
well I want to get better at this and better
at that, but like I keep snoozing or keep like
scrolling on my phone, Like there's so much time that
I spent fucking scrolling on my phone. Like I can
get a thirty minute work on it in the morning,
Like yeah, and this is me talking to me, but
also to you listening. You can get a thirty work out,

(07:13):
thirty minute workout. Be honest about your screen time, be
honest about the amount of time that you're scrolling on
social media. A twenty minute workout, fifteen minute workout.

Speaker 1 (07:23):
Why aren't you stretching? You need a fucking stretch, bitch.

Speaker 3 (07:27):
You need a stretch.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
You need to do your mobility. I started doing pilates.
I love it.

Speaker 3 (07:32):
All right, that was my You heard it from her,
You heard it from her, y'all all right, we got
a question here. Where is your favorite destination work has
brought you?

Speaker 1 (07:46):
Oh Japan ooh oh yeah, that's It wasn't through Pelton.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
It was through I would like judge the dance competition
in Japan, which was insane, but it was incredible.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
That's awesome.

Speaker 4 (08:01):
Yeah, that's actually because I just went to Japan too
for work. That's one of my top But since I
don't want to repeat what you chose, I will choose Qatar.
Qatar was cool. Yeah, it was like it was like
a new experience as a whole. So it was for
the Men's World Cup in twenty twenty two. Shout out

(08:21):
ot in Dina.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
Especially because beautiful experience.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
How did I know you were going to say that?

Speaker 4 (08:29):
Yeah, I thought I thought was was really special.

Speaker 1 (08:32):
It was cool. That's sick.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
Wait.

Speaker 4 (08:34):
Why it was my first time like out there in
the Middle East, and I really enjoyed like their culture.
It was really clean. It's also the safest country in
the world the world. Uh so for once, I would
like literally go on runs it and I didn't have

(08:54):
to like think twice.

Speaker 3 (08:56):
And as a woman that's like you go in.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
And run in New York myself in a new city.

Speaker 3 (09:02):
No, no, me neither.

Speaker 4 (09:03):
And I travel a lot and I don't go outside
to run by myself that much. Like, No, I have
to be like in a big city.

Speaker 2 (09:08):
Yeah, in a big city where you kind of like
scope out the scene and you're like, oh, I know
that that direction is generally safe and everything's really fine
or like that.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
He's like, yeah, you're fine, just run this way.

Speaker 3 (09:17):
You know, Bengal or else. I'm just on the tread
in the gym.

Speaker 4 (09:21):
And so in Qatar, literally, it was actually such a
great feeling of just running without thinking about your life
in danger at any.

Speaker 1 (09:32):
I love being a woman, no, truly, truly.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
Yeah, so that.

Speaker 4 (09:37):
I really liked Qatar and the it was clean, people
were very very nice. Coffee culture was actually very unique
and it was great. It was a great experience.

Speaker 1 (09:46):
That was cool.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
Love Okay I have too Oh no those No, if
you're not listening to this podcast, we're gonna have problems.
Because you wrote Camilla in Bluton in Nomas milestones, A

(10:10):
simple you need to.

Speaker 1 (10:20):
I'm very proud of you, for real, for real love love.

Speaker 3 (10:23):
She calls you out, she called you.

Speaker 1 (10:25):
The dot at the end.

Speaker 3 (10:29):
I love that. What's one thing on your vision board? Mm?

Speaker 1 (10:36):
Hmmm, I kind of stopped making vision boards, but.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
I think energetically it's yes, hm, like yes, Like I
think it's like not saying no to anything, not closing
my myself off and not putting myself somewhere where I
feel like I need to be like the why not?

Speaker 1 (11:00):
Like literally why not? Love you?

Speaker 4 (11:05):
One thing that's all my vision board and has been
on my vision board is the twenty twenty six World Cup.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (11:11):
Yeah, because USA is is a co host alongside the
Mexican I mean.

Speaker 5 (11:14):
Same if you're listening, if you're like, for higher, if
we're being specific, like literally two.

Speaker 4 (11:26):
Secondsgo, you're like, I don't really do vision boards, and
now you're like, it's on my vision board.

Speaker 1 (11:30):
Yeah, it's definitely a lot of food bullet in the mixer.
I'm sad.

Speaker 4 (11:36):
Yeah, it's it's been. It's been a big gold mine.
It's been on my vision board. In what way do
I want to do? I see myself?

Speaker 3 (11:43):
I don't know that. I just have two things.

Speaker 4 (11:46):
It's I want to be working it or involved, and
I want to enjoy it.

Speaker 3 (11:50):
That's my thing. I want to truly wholeheartedly enjoy it.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
There's literally nobody else more qualified or more deserving of
being there than you, my friend.

Speaker 1 (11:59):
Thank you, very proud of you.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
Can Manie tell us more about her coffee business, okay?
Why she's such a coffee snob.

Speaker 3 (12:15):
It's exhausting, it is, it really is.

Speaker 4 (12:18):
People at work make fun of me all the time
because like they'll be like, hey, oh, we're gonna go
get our Starbucks ordered, you know, I don't know, we're
gonna bring it to the stadium. What do you guys want?
And I every time, I'm like, don't even ask me.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
Shut your little mouth. How dare you, yeah, talk to
me about that?

Speaker 3 (12:37):
How dare you say Starbucks in my.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
I mean, I've considered my presence, you know.

Speaker 2 (12:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (12:45):
Okay, So my coffee company, and thank you for asking.
It's called Kickoff Coffee co My brother and his wife, said,
my sister in law and myself. We started this company
in twenty twenty one. It actually started really in twenty two.
It's a it's a pandemic baby, but we officially launched
in twenty twenty one. We saw that there was a

(13:07):
an opportunity in the market because if you're a soccer
fan and you watch the games on the weekend where
it's the Premier League, whether it's La Liga, whether it's
the women's WSL or Champions League, both mins of women's
you're you're you're watching it either in the morning or
early afternoons. And so we realized that there was this
this experience that was happening as you watched a game

(13:29):
with a coffee in hand. But that coffee in hand,
there was never a brand that really like catered to
the market, that took advantage of that that opportunity and
that that unique experience. And so what we set out
to do was bridge the culture of coffee, specialty coffee,
with the culture of a football of soccer and so like.

Speaker 3 (13:51):
So this is this is actually our bag, one of
our bags.

Speaker 1 (13:54):
So as you can see, this.

Speaker 3 (13:55):
Is the Forsa Forsa Italian roast.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
Oh nice, I like the Razilian Oh yeah, the cuffe bonito,
like all of them, but the Brazilians fire.

Speaker 1 (14:04):
Yeah, that must be one that you recommend it to me.

Speaker 4 (14:06):
Yes, So for those of you who are are listening,
can't see all of our coffee bags depict.

Speaker 3 (14:12):
A soccer picture on the bags.

Speaker 4 (14:15):
So you know, there's like this forest Italian which is
like a stadium of in Italy. The cuffe bonito one
is literally a soccer player, Brazilian soccer player in Rio
de Jannero, like in the Mountain. There is the match
day bag, which is Peruvian coffee, and that one is
like a father figure or a male figure leading a

(14:37):
little girl.

Speaker 3 (14:38):
Into the stadium.

Speaker 4 (14:39):
So it has like an inspirational Yeah, we've created all
these images.

Speaker 3 (14:44):
Yeah, so we've done like really cool things with this.

Speaker 4 (14:46):
With this brand, we've grown to over ten thousand followers
on Instagram. Let's go, and it's direct to consumer, it's
e commerce. It's all fresh roasted shipped to your door.
And we donate a portion of our profits to soccer
foundations around the world that utilize soccer as a tool
for social development social justice. So there's a give back portion.

Speaker 3 (15:06):
So I hope period that I gave you was all
about my our our coffee.

Speaker 1 (15:11):
We've been practicing it.

Speaker 3 (15:12):
Girl, we're trying.

Speaker 4 (15:13):
To raise money. I've like said this pitch like to
I don't know investors.

Speaker 2 (15:17):
So at this point, okay, you millions and big rooms
all the time. So she tells me about the room
she's in. I'm like, wait, you were having dinner with
what Wait?

Speaker 3 (15:26):
Who guys it's all about balance.

Speaker 4 (15:29):
One day you could talk about private equity and the
next you could be per.

Speaker 1 (15:34):
I mean really literally literally, Okay, I have another question.

Speaker 4 (15:39):
Oh wait, wait, wait, wait, before we move on, there
is a discount code by the way for our listeners
for our coffee if you want twenty percent off, which,
by the way, guys, I'm gonna tell you right now,
that ain't a usual twenty percent off. I'm being quite
generous also because I love you guys. You support us
so much. So go to kickoff Coffee dot com. Kickoff
coffee go dot com uh and receive twenty percent off

(16:01):
using the code perfect.

Speaker 2 (16:05):
And I just want to add to the point, like, yeah,
the packaging, yeah, you know, give back great. The coffee
is fire though, So that's what you need to know
when you are making your decision. Try the Brazila and
then thank me later. Well, I'll try all of them,
but I recommend that one because that's the one I get.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
Yes, I want you to.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
Describe the place you feel most at peace and why
you go first me.

Speaker 1 (16:32):
Okay, I think it's.

Speaker 2 (16:33):
In the mountains, like in nature. If I'm like, if
I'm in a hike, if I'm camping, disconnected. I can
hear the wind, I can feel the feel the wind too.
I can hear the trees, like the leaves rustling, and
I'm just like not worried about all the other things

(16:55):
that are happening in the world. That's where I feel
most at peace. And if there's some form of like
movement involved, great, And if it's not too cold, that
would be sick.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
I love. I feel like.

Speaker 4 (17:10):
I feel most at peace at my parents' house. Yeah,
Like it's just like home is home, you know. And
when I moved away from home, every time I would
go back, I would be like, wow, like this is special.
And now that I live a little bit closer, even
though it's close, it's one.

Speaker 3 (17:30):
It's crazy how you just walk into the.

Speaker 4 (17:32):
Doors of your house, of your casa to casita and
it just you you just feel like this, I'll leave
you almost right.

Speaker 3 (17:40):
You just feel like, wow, I'm just at home.

Speaker 4 (17:43):
So I feel that And just being like in the
backyard palm trees, I could close my eyes and just
like visualize my my family and I hanging out in
the backyard.

Speaker 1 (17:53):
Yeah, that's beautiful. I think as Latinos we have a
stronger connection to our.

Speaker 2 (17:57):
Families even though I you know, there's a lot of
people listening to this podcast that probably have a more
complicated relationship with their families or maybe they don't have
the ability to be with them often.

Speaker 1 (18:11):
It is nice as I've.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
Also grown up to realize that and learn to love
the things that and understand my family for who they are,
and learn to love those things that maybe in the
past I might have found like annoying or like I
didn't understand about them or that would frustrate me, and
just like welcome them with open arms. I think it's

(18:35):
it's beautiful to be able to be more accepting in
that way of your family because it really does create
like a nice, beautiful space for growth and to share
future memories too, without closing yourself off.

Speaker 1 (18:52):
But yeah, I love that.

Speaker 3 (18:56):
It's with that. Actually, we talked a little bit about Japan.

Speaker 4 (18:59):
But my husband when we were in Japan, got a
tattoo on the last night we were there because like
the experience was so impactful, the culture and everything, and
he got this this tattoo on his arm in Japanese writing,
and it's like sumeba miaco, and it pretty much means
like your home is where you create.

Speaker 3 (19:17):
It is where you make it.

Speaker 4 (19:19):
And that's totally him because he moved here from Puerto Rico.
We lived in New York, like he's he honestly could
live anywhere and like still be just be like this
is my home where me it's a bit more challenging
to do that. So that's something that I think, like
kind of similar to what you said, like I know
you you adapt, but at the end of the day,
it's like where you make it. And so that that
Japanese saying was actually like quite interesting sumeba miaco.

Speaker 2 (19:43):
I think also that goes like to show like the
difference in our personalities. I feel like I'm more of
like a solitary human and you're very much so like
a community. Not that I'm that community forward, but you
social interaction, yes, yes, versus me that I need to.
Like the way that I recharge is by being alone.

(20:04):
I feel like you also you recharge mainly from like
other people.

Speaker 4 (20:07):
That's so true, you love, That's very true. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
for sure. Okay, Gomi. Most random song or artists you
listen to while work it out, and this person who
is Ale Lopez eighteen seventeen says minus Luis Miguel.

Speaker 1 (20:25):
Most random. M I don't know. I it's not random.

Speaker 2 (20:35):
People know I love them. But like I listened to
my Chemical Romance a lot. I listen to the Ghost
of You a lot more than I would even like
to admit, like to the point that, like two years
ago was like my number one played song on Spotify.

Speaker 1 (20:48):
I'm not embarrassed of that. I'm really not.

Speaker 2 (20:51):
You're judging me on the other side because you think
you're better than me because you haven't listened to the
Ghost of You in years. But listen to it again
and let me know how you feel. It's really good,
especially when you're driving, if you want to scream at
the top of your lungs, it's incredible. What about you?

Speaker 4 (21:09):
I don't know if this is maybe this is random,
I guess And this is this was on actually my
marathon playlist.

Speaker 3 (21:15):
Just keep Me Going, Keep the Blood Flowing.

Speaker 4 (21:17):
It's a it's a big pump up song of mine
and it's called Cara Coles Colds and it's by the Mez.

Speaker 3 (21:24):
Do you know this song coming.

Speaker 4 (21:26):
It's super Colombian, like super Colombian, and it's something that
like you play at the party and like everybody's just
like like dancing like this, and then like I don't know,
for soccer games, it would be in the locker room.

Speaker 3 (21:40):
No no, no, no no no no no no no
no no no no no.

Speaker 4 (21:43):
It's really fast. It gets me going. So for all
my Colombians out there, I know you feel it. And
if you're not Colombian, you haven't listened to the song,
put it on and I swear it will.

Speaker 3 (21:56):
It will get you going. It's just good, good vibes love.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
Actually, I have a couple more things that came to mind.
I listened to that people wouldn't expect.

Speaker 1 (22:04):
From me, Like I listened to a lot, Okay, what's
that Argentinian rock band?

Speaker 2 (22:10):
Okay, which is random because like when people see me
teach class, I listened to like ed M and Liketon,
which I do listen to a lot when I work out.

Speaker 1 (22:20):
But if we're talking about random, I listened to that.

Speaker 2 (22:23):
And then, honestly, for quite some time, I used to
listen to bluegrass.

Speaker 1 (22:28):
What's bluegrass like country music? Oh? Wait?

Speaker 3 (22:32):
I low key like there. I love country.

Speaker 2 (22:35):
I don't like country music, but I like bluegrass. Okay,
I'm gonna look like blue grass like more folky, okay, okay,
look it up. Yeah, I'm like, I used to like
Darius Rocker. I don't know Kenny Chesney, I used to.

Speaker 1 (22:47):
I mean that's a no, I didn't I did that, okay, Mally.
What does it mean to be a Latina in your industry?

Speaker 4 (22:54):
Mmmm?

Speaker 3 (22:55):
It's so special, y'all.

Speaker 2 (22:57):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (22:58):
When I first started to become a want a soccer player,
but then a broadcaster, there were many women like me Latina,
and so to be able to be given this type
of role and also open doors for other Latinas, it's awesome,
it's unique. I take it with great honor, and I

(23:18):
make sure that I, like uplift other women as well
in the space.

Speaker 3 (23:23):
And not gonna lie y'all.

Speaker 4 (23:24):
It's a massive advantage to be bilingual, for sure, in
the industry.

Speaker 1 (23:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (23:30):
And also it's a massive advantage to bring the great
vibes and that's what we do.

Speaker 3 (23:34):
That's what we do.

Speaker 1 (23:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (23:35):
And if you're bilingual, the one thing that I will
say that's like a huge tip is become proficient in
both languages, like be equally as good in Spanish as
you are in English, or as close as you can.
It's tough, it's challenging, but the only way to get
better is by practicing and putting yourself out there.

Speaker 1 (23:53):
So you have to start.

Speaker 2 (23:55):
So if you're like, oh, well I haven't, for example,
taught class in Spanish before, well, start practice, have conversations
like with people.

Speaker 1 (24:05):
I'm very honored to be Latina in my space.

Speaker 2 (24:07):
I am honored for the women that have opened the
doors and paid the way for me to be able
to come in and be the first person to teach
reggaeton classes, rides at Peloton and like bring that energy
forward in the first like Spanish language cycling classes and
tread classes and so it's cordial classes. And now to
also be teaching strength in Spanish is a big honor

(24:28):
to me. I know this is only the beginning. I
think the representation is very important and I think it
helps us feel seen. I feel like everyone deserves to
feel to listen to their favorite music in a workout class,
and I know that I'm doing that for a lot
of people, and I know that I could also be.

Speaker 1 (24:43):
Doing a better job.

Speaker 3 (24:44):
It's so hard.

Speaker 2 (24:45):
There's so many Latinos everywhere, so that when you try
to like, you know, it's tough, but we are doing
a tour throughout Latino America right.

Speaker 1 (24:52):
Now on Peloton.

Speaker 2 (24:54):
We went to Mexico, Columbia and Puerto Rico. We hit Brazil,
I just did Panama. We're doing Cuba next and then
we're going to So it's gonna be a vibe. So
I'm really happy about what that means for our community
and also just to be proud of where we come

(25:15):
from visually and outwardly and in a place where it's
broadcasted to thousands of humans Mali as well during this
time is really great and I have I feel a
huge honor to be able to do that for sure.

Speaker 4 (25:32):
Love Love, Let's go all right, your question for you
best travel destination for a girls trip?

Speaker 1 (25:41):
I have been in.

Speaker 2 (25:44):
The last bachelorette party that I went to was for
my best team Mandy, and I have been hitting up
Nikki and Mandy from that Macheret trip, like my best season.

Speaker 1 (25:54):
I'm like, we need to go back. We every every time.

Speaker 2 (25:58):
Every so often that like group chat surfaces and it's
not one of those group chests that you're like, oh
what are they sending now.

Speaker 1 (26:03):
You're like, I want to know. Like the Karta.

Speaker 2 (26:06):
Heina was insane. It was so fun we had like
our own house. We split everything between like twelve girls.
Everything was organized. We knew exactly what the clubs were
that we were going to, We knew exactly what the
destinations were.

Speaker 1 (26:20):
We had so much fun.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
We suffered the curse of the Carthaginah boat trip. And
I didn't know that this was a universal experience that
everybody that goes to Carta Hanna gets fucked over by
the boats because facts you go out in the morning
to Las Islas or whatever to like party or hang
and like the brunch spots with the music and the
chairs and go in the water and have fun. Every

(26:43):
single person in the in the afternoon water gets choppy.
But it's not just choppy like chopping, choppy like choppy
like I might die, this shit might turn over like
any moment I had. One of our friends was in
the front of the boat for her life because obviously
like the.

Speaker 1 (27:02):
Boat was boarding. Everyone was boarding the boat. And then
we were like, where's our friend, where's our from?

Speaker 2 (27:07):
We turn around, she's this huge like drink that's like
the size of her torso, and she's like what we're leaving.
I'm like, bitch, drink that Now we gotta go, you
gotta leave your drink, so then she like chugs her drink.
She's the last one on the boat. There was no
other seats left besides the wood in the front. Obviously
she just chugged her drink, so she was on wall.
So she was holding on for her life. And she
didn't have time to put pants on, so her ass

(27:29):
was like clapping on the boat.

Speaker 1 (27:30):
It was like a whole show for every time to
see to the.

Speaker 2 (27:34):
Point that like the I don't know the captain's like assistant.
I shouldn't know the terminology because my husband worked on boats.

Speaker 1 (27:40):
But anyway, the.

Speaker 2 (27:41):
Captain's like guy came down to like hold her in
her place because she's so.

Speaker 1 (27:45):
Such a small human being that they thought she was
gonna fly off dead.

Speaker 2 (27:49):
WAITI recommend got the heina.

Speaker 4 (27:53):
I'm like, co captain, I'm like thinking team sports first mate, I'm.

Speaker 1 (27:58):
Like, what is the way? I don't even know?

Speaker 3 (28:00):
Well, I'm embarrassed, wave with total facts.

Speaker 4 (28:03):
We had our wedding and on the way same like
morning out to the lasisas is like beautiful prisine.

Speaker 3 (28:09):
Everybody's excited.

Speaker 4 (28:10):
Then you have your drink so then like you know,
everything's fluid and then on the way back. Yo, it's
like it's you're just bound for like big ass waves
and like my best friend literally.

Speaker 3 (28:23):
To this day will crack up about it shoes.

Speaker 4 (28:25):
So she's like, no, like I still have to go
to the chiropractor because of that.

Speaker 2 (28:29):
I was like, I have to go to work after
I get back home, Like I hope my back is okay.

Speaker 3 (28:35):
Yeah, but it's all worth it. It's so worth it.

Speaker 1 (28:37):
Honestly, I had so much fun. I would go back
a million times.

Speaker 4 (28:40):
Yeah, I agree with Cartagena. I also do love. I mean,
you can't go wrong with Puerto Rico. Like so fun.
I did a bachelorrette and so fun, so fun. Meda
Yane is also a really great time.

Speaker 1 (28:56):
Yeah. I have never been to Malliane. Mm.

Speaker 4 (28:58):
I haven't been on a girls tre but I've been
on trips and they are hella fun. Actually, I have
done one a girls ship. I forgot this is when
I was like way younger. Yeah, so fun, so fun.

Speaker 1 (29:07):
Okay, perfect. Share more about your experience with loving your body.
Hi girl, shy girl, Chai girl, how are you.

Speaker 2 (29:27):
More than when there's a whole episode on this So
if you guys want to a deep dive into my
self acceptance journey. It's actually one of our top performing
episodes on the podcast, so make sure that you guys
check them out.

Speaker 1 (29:40):
And also many.

Speaker 2 (29:41):
Shares her personal story as well with loving herself and
accepting herself, So go back to that episode and definitely
listen to that. But I would say it all started
when I realized that I didn't want to be miserable
for the rest of my life, and that it was

(30:02):
a choice for me to start celebrating myself every day
and choosing to enjoy the life that I am in
with the body that I have, rather than picking myself
apart consistently and feeling like I'm never enough. And if
you're on the other side and that resonated with you,

(30:22):
there's a way out. I think that also, there's there's
some recovery classes that I have on Peloton too that
you can take that speak on this, but I think
it starts with gratitude and self acceptance before the love
comes in and the self celebration comes in. Sometimes you
just have to look at yourself in the mirror and

(30:42):
accept yourself and appreciate everything that your body does for you.
I think movement helps a lot working out is a
crucial part of my or was a crucial part of
my healing experience, And to be honest with you, I
talk about this all the time too. It's a just
like we work out our bodies with exercise, and just
like we work out our minds in therapy, we're also

(31:05):
working out that self acceptance and self judgment muscle on
the regular Because, yeah, you might go to therapy and
you might talk about the problems that you might have,
and maybe you are doing a deeper dive into your
self love journey, hopefully accompanied by a professional, But a
lot of times we put that to the side because it's.

Speaker 1 (31:26):
Not our main concern right now.

Speaker 2 (31:29):
There's so many other things that are happening in our lives.
But there's little things that you can do day to day,
whether that's journaling, whether that's recognizing when you're judging yourself
and acknowledging that it's not good or bad, that it's
just a part of who you are that leads to
acceptance and then give space slowly in your life for

(31:49):
more joy and at the end of the day, like
if you have been listening to me for a minute,
then you might know that one of my pivotal moments too,
was when I chose to lead a life of levity
and joy and only let that into my life instead
of worry, anxiety, stress, which obviously creeps in. I feel

(32:10):
stressed out before I released my song. My entire side
of my face was breaking out. But I think how
the majority of the time, like how you lead your life,
the majority of the time is how it feels to you.

Speaker 1 (32:22):
And right now I feel a lot of joy.

Speaker 2 (32:24):
So I really do want to encourage you guys to
go back to that episode and listen in because it's
a it's a really deep dive into the entire process
for me.

Speaker 4 (32:33):
Yeah, no, I love that episode was really great. Definitely
listen to that one. We were really open in that podcast,
and I also think that's why people really enjoyed it.

Speaker 3 (32:44):
And the numbers speak for itself. Yeah, let's see.

Speaker 4 (32:48):
I have a question for you, Actually it's not for me.
It's from Wesley Wayner, and it says will you attend
will you plan to attend the twenty twenty six World Cup?
And for you specifically, it's like if our Hintina plays,
and for me it's Colombia plays.

Speaker 1 (33:04):
I mean, I hope, so I hope I can get tickets.

Speaker 2 (33:09):
I slept on Melissa's a recommendation a couple episodes ago
when she looked out for us and told us how.

Speaker 1 (33:15):
To get tickets.

Speaker 2 (33:16):
But it was tough, I hear, I hear, even if
you planned ahead, the tickets are expensive.

Speaker 1 (33:21):
But I hope.

Speaker 3 (33:22):
So, yeah, girl, it's so hard. I like, I'm hoping.

Speaker 4 (33:26):
Obviously I work it and I don't need to look
for tickets, but I still did the application process and
guess what last week I got a I got a solid.

Speaker 2 (33:35):
No.

Speaker 1 (33:37):
Well, I'm glad I didn't waste my time.

Speaker 3 (33:39):
Then literally I was like do they know? Like do
they know?

Speaker 4 (33:43):
But AnyWho, I hope that I do get to see
Selex Columbia play in this World Cup. To be quite
honest with you, I haven't seen Columbia play in a
World Cup since I think it was Russia. So that's
twenty what is that twenty eight team? And like the
last I mean Katar, they didn't qualify Copa America. I

(34:06):
worked it and I didn't attend one match, so that
was that was almost painful, but it was special at
the same time because I got to cover it on TV.

Speaker 3 (34:13):
But I'm yeah, I was in a studio.

Speaker 4 (34:15):
So what I'm hoping is I get to go and
enjoy a game, which, by the way, I just recently
went to Colombia against Mexico in Texas and Dallas, and
I said to myself, because you know, I work in
this industry and every game I go to, i'm working,
I'm studying for I am in the zone.

Speaker 3 (34:33):
I am just yeah, I'm I'm I'm enjoying it.

Speaker 4 (34:36):
But in another way, And so I went with like
just already the mental uh, like I was like focused
at like this game, I am going to full lee
wholeheartedly enjoy it to the max. And I'm mean I
enjoyed it, like literally went to the gay There's so
many amazing like.

Speaker 1 (34:56):
At least I have been traveling.

Speaker 2 (34:58):
She literally went to what was it, sixth place, six
states in nine days.

Speaker 3 (35:03):
Six cities and nine days.

Speaker 2 (35:04):
Yeah, six cities and nine days, and on the seventh
day or whatever that I literally called her. She's like,
I'm a show of a human. I'm going to a game.
I was like, I'm like, that's how you know we're different.

Speaker 1 (35:16):
Like my ass would stay home.

Speaker 2 (35:18):
She's recharging by going out and like it's turning up.

Speaker 3 (35:22):
At a game I did turn up, Yeah, I had.

Speaker 4 (35:24):
I enjoyed a few beers with some friends, and then afterwards.
What I missed about some of these games is like
it's it's the after it's like the community, and it's
also like the after party. Win or lose, you're still
going to have a good time, especially if you're Latino.
And so right outside of the stadium there's this place
called Texas Live or something like that. It's massive, and
it was like majority Mexican fans, but then with you know,

(35:45):
a good core group of Columbin fans.

Speaker 3 (35:48):
Yeah, the music was so lit.

Speaker 4 (35:51):
It was cool that a lot of people honestly came
up to me and said hi as well, like they like,
we love your coverage. Oh my god, I got stuff
and for me, y'all.

Speaker 3 (35:59):
That's yeah, that's special. Yeah that's special.

Speaker 4 (36:03):
And the next thing, you know, I'm having like tequila shots.
But anyways, it was a great time.

Speaker 2 (36:08):
I've meant turn up energy wise. Okay, you didn't have
to release all the informations to the people. That was
your choice, guys.

Speaker 3 (36:14):
I like to be true like that.

Speaker 2 (36:17):
Melissa, I have a question for you going yeah, going
over all of Europe in ten days for three weeks.

Speaker 1 (36:25):
Best country to watch a football match?

Speaker 3 (36:27):
And oh so just Europe, Yeah, just like all over Europe.
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 4 (36:33):
I mean Spain is obviously an incredible experience. A Paris
Saint Germain game I hear is amazing. I haven't been
to one. Oh, Barusha Dortmund in Germany. It's like that's
one of the most famous experiences. Like you have the
top experiences for stadiums. You have Liverpool, you have Barusia Dortmund,

(36:55):
you have Boca Juniors, and like trinkled in with another
few teams as well, but like I had hit up
a Barusha game England. You know, Liverpool is great. Going
to an Arsenal game is fun too, Guys.

Speaker 3 (37:06):
I could ramble on about this all all of them.

Speaker 1 (37:09):
Yeah, Like I'm like, I'm.

Speaker 3 (37:11):
Like, by the way, can you take me with you please?

Speaker 1 (37:12):
And thinks yeah, all right.

Speaker 2 (37:15):
I How do you involve your family members to join
your health journey?

Speaker 1 (37:19):
Many? Uh?

Speaker 4 (37:22):
Oh, I'd have to say, I'm really proud of my parents.
They have been on this really cool health journey, more
specifically strength training journey.

Speaker 1 (37:33):
Oh so proud of them.

Speaker 4 (37:34):
Yeah, and at this age, like they're over seventy now,
and now they work with a trainer and it's so cute.

Speaker 3 (37:39):
They send me videos. I'm gonna have to share one.

Speaker 4 (37:41):
One day they are both training in the backyard with
a trainer and like strength training next week. Like my
parents don't, like they're attached at the hip. They own
a business together. They obviously live together. They've been married
for over forty years, and now they're like strength trained together.

Speaker 3 (37:54):
It's the cutest thing I've ever seen.

Speaker 4 (37:56):
So do they fight, Yeah, yeah, like every couple. Yeah,
and the like, of course you own a business together,
Like I remember. That's why I'm like, yeah, yeah, they
for sure, But I don't know, they're just they're amazing.

Speaker 1 (38:10):
They make up.

Speaker 4 (38:13):
That's a healthy relationship. I don't want to hear any
more details.

Speaker 3 (38:21):
All right, how about you?

Speaker 2 (38:24):
You didn't really answer the question for the I don't know,
Like they just how involve family members to join the
health journey that you're Oh.

Speaker 4 (38:32):
My mom tells me this all the time, Like she
says that, like I inspire her by like being open
with what I'm doing through action, And I think that's
that's how I've involved them, honestly, like I've Yeah, it's
different when you're you don't live with them anymore, you know,
like many of us. But through action and through you know,
you help them, you guide them, You give them tips

(38:52):
on certain things or even like food, Like I remember
I went through their fridge one day and I'm like,
all right, you got to stop, you got to stop
eating this.

Speaker 3 (38:59):
This is like full of like just fake shit. So
we're gonna swap this out. We're going to swap that out.

Speaker 4 (39:05):
Those are the things that I think, like us in
our generation and the type of access information and education
that we have, that's how we could positively impact our families.

Speaker 1 (39:14):
How about Yeah, I agree. I think a couple of things.

Speaker 2 (39:17):
Number one through personal action though when people see you
go out of your way to like be better and
change your lifestyle, that inspires other people to do the same.
Number one and then number two is like helping them doing.

Speaker 1 (39:36):
Doing something with them.

Speaker 2 (39:38):
Saying like okay, mom, we're gonna do a workout together.
So like you take them through the movements, or you
can just turn on a beginner class and like you
do it together. When I go visit Mayaoila, we do
like now there's like Pelton classes that you can do
with your what's it called strength for longevity classes that
you can do with your loved ones together, like partner

(39:59):
work that I did with my girl Katie Wong.

Speaker 1 (40:03):
Love that ho.

Speaker 2 (40:05):
And you can like do the workouts together, like you
go to their house and like you go through their
fridge and if they're open, you can propose different solutions
or like bring it to their house and like slowly
incorporate it with them, or like teach them about the
benefits of strength training as we age so that they
can be healthy. But I think it's about getting involved,

(40:27):
but not in a way that's intrusive. Many people are
gonna say no, I don't want to do that. But
if you're like okay, but like let's do like five
minutes together, and then like, see, it wasn't that bad.
And then the next time you come over and we're like, okay,
like ten minutes together. See it wasn't that bad, And
then maybe slowly but surely, they build confidence and they
want to start doing it by themselves.

Speaker 4 (40:45):
Well all right, y'all, Well that was a fun episode
of Q and A's on.

Speaker 3 (40:52):
