Speaker 1 (00:14):
What's everyone, I'm less orties, I'm coming to Ramon and
this is Asta Lajo And today we have an exciting
new episode because we're gonna be talking about something like superstitions,
and on top of that, we have a lot of
catching up to Dokami. Honestly, it's been a summer. It's
been a summer. Melissa's now stopped all summer.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
We've known that since she has been working on her
food boat, but also she's traveling.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
Where are you going?

Speaker 1 (00:45):
Well, okay, let me set the scene a little bit.
Because I was gone for like nearly seven weeks. I
had gone to I don't know, like seven or eight
cities within those weeks covering soccer, so it was FIFA
Club World Cup, it was US soccer games, US men's
national team, US women's national team, and then finally I

(01:06):
got to Miami and this opportunity came up coming and
I couldn't say no, and that where are.

Speaker 3 (01:12):
You going Japan? You bitch?

Speaker 1 (01:17):
Bah happened? BAA were going to Japan. And by the
time this episode actually airs, I will have just be
getting back from Japan as well, so I'll have to
catch you up on that experience for sure. But I'm
excited because coming. You've been to Japan.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
Yeah, I went twice. Actually in my past life was
so random. Yeah, it's a judge a dance competition. Both
times it was it was amazing. It was like one
of the most random things I've ever done. But it
was absolutely incredible. Also, like I fell in love with
the culture, the people, the cleanliness, the community aspect of
the culture was incredible, especially seeing like girls work together

(01:58):
in dance teams.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
And get frustrated.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
I saw like the cutest and also like the thing
that made go like oh a little bit was like
when the girls would get like frustrated when they would
mess up the dance, not necessarily because of themselves or
because they embarrassed themselves, but because they are hurting their teammates.
It's very much so community oriented. One time I had

(02:25):
I had two times.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
Where I was like really confused in Japan.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
Number one was you don't speak the language.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
Yeah, I mean adiazaimas or kawaii is what I know,
But no I did.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
I was taking this.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
Metro by myself and I didn't know which way to go,
So I like stopped this guy at a store and I.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
Told him I was like, hey, like, I need to
go here. How do I get there? And he tried
to explain it to me like fifteen different ways, and
I was not getting it.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
I swear my life, I was with this guy for
thirty minutes and he didn't not give up. He's like,
I will not leave you astray. I will not like,
I will make sure that you get to your destination.
And I was like borderline like hugging him.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
I was like, meanwhile, in New York, they're like good
lug witch.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
Yeah, no, literally that. And then one time I was
like really hungry.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
I was like starving and I was by myself and
I was like, I just really want something salty, and
I ordered something that looked like a mini pizza and
it was not.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
It was like a Danish, and I was like no.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
I cried by myself in a coffee shop because I
was like there was a lot happening.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
I talk about confusing your tongue. Yeah, you're expecting a pizza,
but you're you're eating a Danish.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
Yeah. And that was also the time where like I
Luciana and I were not together, so my husband and
I were not together yet, and I was in Japan
and he like texted me like randomly after like so
long that we hadn't talked, and.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
I was like, girl, what you doing tonight?

Speaker 3 (03:55):
I don't remember what he said, like I'm in Japan.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
He actually had said something really sweet and we have
been friends for a really really long time.

Speaker 3 (04:02):
And then I was like, oh my god.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
I went to a shrine on my own that day
and I was like, I'm in love with this man. Hell, oh,
oh my god.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
I hope you have the best time in Japan. What
are you most excited for?

Speaker 1 (04:15):
Thank you. I'm most excited for like just experiencing a
culture that I've never experienced or seen like firsthand. Like
I've traveled a lot, thankfully. I've been all over South America.
I've been all over Europe. I've even been to Africa,
like I've been to Nigeria. I've been to Katar. Yeah, Iceland,

(04:39):
which is also obviously part of Europe, but far so,
Like I've never been to Asia, and I just think
it's going to be really like eye opening and to
like experience a new language that I will have no
idea what they're telling me. And then the food, that's
like one thing that everybody has been telling me. I

(05:00):
I'm so excited about eating delicious like seafood and I
don't know, just fresh rap fish. And I knock on
wood because you know, I know you had food poisoning
a few weeks ago. I hope that doesn't happen to me.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
No, that's not gonna happen to you. Right, it's very
different there.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
You have to get the footy cacket, the little sprinkles
on the rice, and then you have to try the
plumb wine.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
It's so good. Now you're gonna have the best time,
and you have to go to the hellicitty store.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Will do well.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
Everyone wish many lug in Japan, even though she will
have fully come back by that point, but she's gonna okay.
So we wanted to get into superstitions today because so
many athletes have superstitions. I was just with Grisiandra Meidez
from the La Galaxy and he was telling me, like,
for example, in his superstition is that like they every.

Speaker 3 (05:50):
Time they heats candy every time they win a game.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
Right, So like let's say he starts with star patches,
then he'll have sour patches the next game if they
win the next game, but if he loses or team loses,
then they switched the sour patches for.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
A different candy. Okay, and the same thing.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
Like last last year, I think he had like silver
hair and they won, so that this year he has
silver hair again because they won. Like, there was like
so many things that athletes do that we're not privy
to in the day to day many Do you have
any superstitions?

Speaker 1 (06:22):
Oh my gosh, Yeah I used to when I was playing.
You know I would, Well, first, it's like a it's
it's a process. There's some athletes that like have a
long process of superstitions, like one thing after another in
the locker room though, in the warm up then like
right before the game, like there's steps to your to

(06:43):
your rituals. And I was kind of one of those,
but like not too crazy. So I'm saying I'm not
too crazy. Watch you be like, yo, you're fucking crazy.
So I definitely had to wear like a certain like
my game day underwear, like that was prime. The same danga. No,
I couldn't play in a thong to a little too

(07:05):
like too much information tm I, But yeah, I couldn't
play soccer and a thong, So what I would do?
I literally had like granny panties. But but then I
would have, like you wear sliders, so they're like licra,
yeah you know, and then then your soccer shorts and
so I literally had like obviously washed right like you can.

Speaker 3 (07:23):
Yeah, it's not the same ones, let's be real.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
Yeah, I mean they're same as ones. Was washed, but
I had like my certain game day comfy undies. And
then the sports spra I just used like whatever, but
I had to be like a certain style of sports sprawl.
And then once I'm in the locker once before I
got to the locker room, I had to listen to
like the song that I wanted to listen to before
the locker room. And then during in the locker room,
I had to put like tape over my wrist, over

(07:47):
my left wrist. Then yeah, why well one because I
like kind of fucked up my rest playing, so I
have like this one little bone that like kind of
pops in and pops out. Still to this day, it's
a little weird. But then so I don't know it
started with that, but then it just became a thing,
and like I would like write some things on it
on my on my tape sometimes. Yeah, and then I

(08:10):
would have another song before getting to the field, and then.

Speaker 3 (08:16):
What were the songs.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
I'm trying to think back. I used to really love
this one song. Is it by Ala? It's like and
it can be anybody, and then yeah, I'm the man,
I'm the man. I'm the man, you know. But I'd
be like, I'm the woman of the wood. I just
really love that song because it gave me a lot
of confidence. And then depending like if I was playing

(08:42):
for Colombia at the time, I would sometimes put on
some like very like Colombian like Bidenato or you know,
something like that that would like get more into my soul,
like more of like cultural pride and wearing a jersey
like Defend and then that I think that's it if
I remember correctly. Yeah, yeah, how about you.

Speaker 3 (09:03):
I mean, I I don't think like playing sports.

Speaker 2 (09:08):
I was really like that superstitious. But I do have
other superstitious things that I do in my life, like,
for example, is there something that's like big that's happening
in my life? Like I'll light a candle. There's a
candle literally lit right now on my counter, and.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
I'm saying, something big is happening in your life right now?

Speaker 3 (09:28):
Well, I'm always trying to manifest.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
But yeah, and so I'll like light it. First, I'll
put it on my forehead.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
Wait, wait, wait a second.

Speaker 3 (09:41):
First I put it on my.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
Forehead, and then I have to because I have to
transfer the data from my brain to the candle.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
Wait, say this, elf, lipstick is the candle? Is it
a stick or is it like a like it's like.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
A long No, it's like a long Hispanic candlestick.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
So we're talking like this, we're doing this.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
Yeah, put it like and then so the data can
transfer to the candle.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
Yeah. And then there I'm like.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
Well, this is what I like, but you have to
like manifest it, like you actually manifest it, Okay. And
then when I light the candle, yeah, I have to
leave it lit until the entire candle burns all the
way down. So I put in a bowl of water
in case the glass cracks, and I can't have like
anybody blow it out. And Luciano knows. Like when I

(10:28):
was doing my like Pelton audition, I would light it
was like my candle was lit in the house for weeks,
because every time the candle would go out, I would
let another one, and another one and another one.

Speaker 3 (10:39):
And another one I had I went through like, I
went through like eight candles. I swore out my life.

Speaker 1 (10:44):
You're like at dinner, You're like at dinner, You're like,
maybe I got to go home. The candle's about to
burn out.

Speaker 2 (10:49):
And then I went to my audition, so I lit
a candle forehead transfer I'm going to be a Pelton instructor.

Speaker 3 (10:57):
Lit a candle, went to New York to my audition,
came back the candle was off.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
Because Luciano said it was a safety hazard, and.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
I was like, I mean, facts, you know what's a
safety hazard?

Speaker 3 (11:10):
Me and you right now? Because I'm about to fuck
you up for what you say to my candle. I
don't you understand?

Speaker 2 (11:16):
This is about our future, So I have that. I
also like, I don't know if you do this too,
I don't think. I also don't like to like talk
about things.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
What do you mean, Oh, like say something big is
coming up? You don't say it?

Speaker 2 (11:38):
Yeah, Like, is there's something that like I'm like I'm
like thinking about or like I just like I keep
it really close to my chest even though like you know,
like what's meant for you is for you whatever, But
like there's something weird about that, Like I don't really
like to talk about things especially, but it's probably mainly
because like I'm anxious about it too. And then if
it doesn't happen, I feel like it's awkward because people

(11:59):
feel bad for you.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
So I'd rather like nobody know. Yeah, And then.

Speaker 1 (12:05):
I respect that because I am the opposite. I like
something like big at coming, or like an opportunity that's
not even inked yet, like it's it's like it's potential.
I like hit up my you know, like my people,
and I'm just like, oh my god, I guess what
just happened, you know, Oh my gosh. And I feel

(12:25):
like by me man like not only manifesting, but like
saying it out loud. It's like it helps me like
make it real, you know what I mean? Like I
don't know. And but then sometimes I'm like, should I
have shared that?

Speaker 3 (12:39):
Yeah? Oversharing bit.

Speaker 2 (12:40):
I overshare every other aspect of my life, so maybe
some things I should probably keep to myself if we're
being honest. No, same, Okay, what are your superstitions when
you're watching football?

Speaker 3 (12:50):
Mmm?

Speaker 2 (12:53):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (12:53):
When I'm watching I I okay, okay, now I remember.
So usually like in normal soccer games. I don't know,
be it whether it's I'm watching I'm a Liverpool fan,
so whether it's like Liver, I'm watching Liverpool, or I'm
even watching like I don't know, like another a random game.
I don't really have some precisions. However, during the Women's
World Cup, when Colombian women's national team was playing and

(13:16):
they were doing so good, I had like this one
jersey and then I was like, oh my god, I
should wear it again. And then they won. But then,
you know, because you want to like switch it up. Sometimes,
I wore another Columbia jersey.

Speaker 3 (13:28):
They lost.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
Yeah, so uh.

Speaker 3 (13:31):
For that, that's always so hard. I do the same thing.

Speaker 1 (13:34):
It's like it's like it's like you know, they're they're
it was our it's your fault. It's my fault. There's
thousands of miles away, but it was my fault. I
switched up the jersey. But then men's Copa Medica, Uh,
I wore the same. I was like, I ain't doing
this again. I'm staying through and through with that kit.
And so for the most part, as soon as they

(13:54):
like were really doing good, I wore this one like sleeveless.
It was actually like a basketball Columbia jersey. It looks
sick because it I made it look like soccer ish
and it had Columbia cross and I wore that through
and through and it was good except for the final.
Let's not talk about it anyway.

Speaker 2 (14:09):
Now you had to put on the Argentina jersey because
you lost.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
The bent against you bitch. Do you have like those
superstitions in watching something?

Speaker 3 (14:18):
Absolutely?

Speaker 2 (14:19):
I think it's like for me, it's like if we're
doing the same thing, like I can't switch it up.
So for the World Cup that a Nandina won, I
was watching like there was a lovely beautiful Argentina woman
that came to the Paulican studios and she brought me
Ona was just like.

Speaker 3 (14:39):
A little like rown thing that you wear.

Speaker 1 (14:43):
Whatever.

Speaker 3 (14:44):
It's just like a little like a mini round flag.
She gave me one of those. So I was wearing
like a very specific like hoodie set for each game.

Speaker 2 (14:53):
It was a great hoodie set that I just started wearing,
and like we started winning. So whenever I was home,
I would sit on the l of the couch and
I would sit in that very exact position watch the
game in my gray hoodie set, and then whenever they
would like shoot penalties, I would hold.

Speaker 3 (15:08):
This karabella on my forehead.

Speaker 2 (15:10):
I have I clearly am manifesting through my third eye
or some shit, because.

Speaker 3 (15:14):
Like I don't I don't know nothing about third eyes.
But like I put everything on my forehead if I
wanted to have it.

Speaker 2 (15:20):
So I'm like, I'm like holding this, and I'm like, oh,
like please, and I even.

Speaker 3 (15:24):
Okay, So for the final, so that that was that.

Speaker 2 (15:26):
So I was wearing the same thing and I was
holding that thing on my forehead and I was like
sitting in the same spot when.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
It was the final.

Speaker 2 (15:34):
It was on my birthday, so we're like, oh, let's
go out for my birthday, right, So we like reserved
at a bar, and then we were.

Speaker 3 (15:41):
On our way out and I was like, wait, babe,
I'm not wearing my hoodie set oh And then I.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
Was like and my and and then I had like
a candle lit or whatever, like everything was in the
same sasspouse.

Speaker 3 (15:56):
I was like, oh my god, I got it.

Speaker 2 (15:58):
So then I laid out our both mine and what
Luciano had worn. I laid it on the couch like
there was a human you know, like you sneak out
of your parents' house, you like create.

Speaker 3 (16:08):
A fake human.

Speaker 2 (16:09):
It was literally like my hoodie set Luciano's shirt and
shorts and then the exact positioning of the jerseys that
we had put on the counter.

Speaker 3 (16:20):
And then we left and I took my capeline. I
was like manifestly like this with it on my forehead,
and we won.

Speaker 1 (16:25):
So it worked, it worked, it worked, it worked. Oh
my god, that is so funny. I love that. Wait,
if our listeners, if you guys have like superstitions, please
let us know, hit us up dm us on the
asta our whole podcast ig account because we want to
know what your superstitions are and we will love to
see like some of the top ones. Because I don't know,

(16:48):
I feel like I love this this conversation, yeah.

Speaker 3 (16:51):
One hundred percent.

Speaker 2 (16:52):
And then if you look at athletes today, like athletes
are probably I don't know, I don't know the the
actual data, but like probably of the most superstitious kinds.

Speaker 3 (17:05):
Right yeah, Like I'm ready here.

Speaker 2 (17:07):
Like Serena Williams is said to have a certain way
she has to tie her shoes before a match.

Speaker 3 (17:12):
I feel that.

Speaker 2 (17:14):
Lebron James chalk Clouds superstition a pregame ceremony of sorts.

Speaker 3 (17:19):
At the scores table, James fills his PAMs with chalk
and throws it up into the air, creating a white cloud.

Speaker 1 (17:25):
Has to happen. Yeah he does. Yeah, he does well
when it comes to like women's soccer players. Kristin Prass,
who plays for Angel City, she once shared about having
superstitions even on the bus on the way to the stadium,
and like you have a bus buddy, And I knew
I know this because I've lived it where it's like, yeah,
all the way the game's like you either you know,
you just want to sit by yourself, you know how
there's like two seats and like yeah, the one side

(17:47):
of the rope. You either just want to like go
solo and just like you're in it with like your headphones,
or you're the type of player that's like blasting music
with like the boom box. And then you have your
bus buddy, so it's like your bus it's like your
bus bestie. And it's just like once you start getting
into like a role, you don't want to not sit
next to your bus buddy. And so Chrispin Press had

(18:08):
talked about that. Becky Souerbrunn, who is a former US
women's national team player who I actually work with. Now
I have to, I have to. I have to confirm
this next time I see her, which actually has been
for a while because she's about to have a baby
in a few months.

Speaker 2 (18:22):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (18:23):
She talked about she does nap time on her game days,
which I'm like, actually intrigued to know if she had
to have a nap for every game day. I love
a nap, I know me too, but.

Speaker 2 (18:36):
It has to be the perfect length. If not, then
she would be like met Sleepy.

Speaker 1 (18:40):
Yeah seriously.

Speaker 3 (18:42):
And Michael Jordan new shoes for every game.

Speaker 1 (18:45):
Yeah. I just talked about this recently. Juan pablo On
Hill he used to play for the Columbian men's national
team and he played for like uh River Plates, sorry
coming uh. He played for US and Villa and then
he played in the MLS. And the other day he
told me like, yeah, every game I had to wear
new cleats. I was like, you wear new cleats every game?
He's like that's expensive. I mean at that level, you're

(19:08):
just like, okay sponsored.

Speaker 3 (19:09):
So yeah, literally I was talking to you.

Speaker 2 (19:12):
Also, Christian Ramier is from the Legacy because we did
like something together, and he was telling me that people
google go as far as like you have to get
off the bus in a certain order, and people will
sit their ass down and will not get off the
bus unless people listen, and they will make everyone come

(19:34):
back on the bus and get off.

Speaker 3 (19:35):
In the order that they're supposed to get off.

Speaker 1 (19:37):
In crazy. That's a good one.

Speaker 3 (19:40):
That was a crazy one to me. I was like, wait,
you guys are like.

Speaker 2 (19:43):
Ate a rush ready for a match, and then like
you're making.

Speaker 3 (19:47):
People get back on to get off. I feel that though,
I guess.

Speaker 1 (19:52):
Well, it's almost like your very own Leonelle MESSI like
he's the first guy that comes out from the locker
room onto the pitch for warm ups for you know,
the starting eleventh thing. He's like the first guy obviously
because he's messy and he's like the captain. But I
think it's I think, in my opinion that it's part
of like their ritual, like Argentina's ritual is like messy first,

(20:13):
and then maybe it's like behind him is like Rodrigo
de Bol or whoever. It's like surrounding him and then
they have their lines out.

Speaker 2 (20:19):
You know.

Speaker 3 (20:20):
Interesting mm hmm. Yeah, I didn't know.

Speaker 1 (20:22):
About that, Yes, what else, Like I'm trying to think
of other types of superstitions first day of job, like
my first day broadcasting, I I just like had to
like get in a I don't think it's a superstition,
it's just like ritual. I think there's a difference between
superstitions and rituals. And for me, for me like part

(20:43):
of the ritual, especially like on a big day that
I'm nervous about, like I have to do some type
of exercise, whether it's like a quick run, whether it's
like a I don't know, strength workout. Do you have
that like to deal with like anxiety.

Speaker 2 (20:57):
In terms of rituals for like the first day doing something,
And I probably just like journaling kind of situation, you know,
a journaling girly. But I whenever I get a workout
in it always helps me. But I think, yeah, in
terms of like rituals, for I can't necessarily establish a
ritual like in a new place, you know, but I

(21:19):
will always like wear my best you know. Yeah, it's
not like I I do have Like I wouldn't necessarily
say that I have like a lucky outfit. However, there
are certain underwear that I like better than others, and I.

Speaker 1 (21:37):
Didn't expand more.

Speaker 2 (21:38):
Please, No, it's just like you know, when you reach
into your drawer you do this too, like you're like,
oh this is I'm gonna pick the fancy one or
like this one's giving me good vibes today for this purpose.
So then you just pick like the underwear that is
giving the appropriate vibes for the event.

Speaker 1 (21:54):
That you have lined up and the less amount of wedgies.

Speaker 3 (21:57):
Yeah, always that.

Speaker 1 (21:59):
Wait, do you have like certain thongs that like they
like thonged too much? Do you know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (22:05):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (22:05):
Absolutely, even though I I if there's something that I
don't fuck around with is like uncomfortable underwear period. So
like I feel like I've gotten like really like I've
narrowed it down and like I just stuck up on
the ones that I need at this point, and I'm
wearing like tights.

Speaker 3 (22:19):
All the time. Yeah, so they're pretty much all like
skin color.

Speaker 1 (22:24):
Like not gonna lie, this might be too much information,
but I had once purchased a pair of like really
comfortable underwears. I think it was like loul Lemon, And
then then there was also a similar type by under
armor thongs and then like me being me, I'm like, oh,
like I try to doupe anything, and so I found
I felt like similar ones on Amazon, and like, honestly, honestly,

(22:48):
that was actually kind of great. But then you're talking
about quality over quantity and like quality, I just remember,
like a few months later, I'm like, why do I
do wears feel so like big? Like oh and like
the side where it's like knitted clothes because it's like
a very sheer like thin, yeah, material it broke. So

(23:12):
I literally was just like kind of like.

Speaker 3 (23:13):
They were like, oh, I'm not wearing any underwear. No great,
literally love that, love that literally amazing.

Speaker 1 (23:22):
Yeah, so like word of advice, pick good quality underwear
on really big days.

Speaker 2 (23:37):
Okay, wait, if we're talking about superstitions like New Year's
superstitions are crazy for Latina, Like you have to wear
especially Colombians like us.

Speaker 3 (23:45):
You guys do the biggest routine.

Speaker 2 (23:47):
You go around the block twice with a maleta, then
you have to eat the twelve grapes.

Speaker 3 (23:52):
Then you have to wear like yellow underwear.

Speaker 1 (23:54):
Right girl, or red or yeah.

Speaker 3 (23:58):
Different color underwear means different.

Speaker 1 (24:00):
Like I am the queen of Like Okay, I don't
want to say, queen, but I am a big, big
component of like the success of our New Year's Eve ritual.
Uh execution is what I want to say.

Speaker 3 (24:15):
So what is your routine?

Speaker 1 (24:17):
The Maleeta's one hundred percent Like I'm a Maleeta girly
and I.

Speaker 3 (24:21):
Think you should chill try too much.

Speaker 1 (24:23):
No, I think I think the same. I'm like, should
I have really pulled out that tenth suitcase outside of
my house that night? But also because like lately, we've
been doing our New Year's Eve parties at my parents'
house and they have a pool in the background, in
the background, I say, background, a pool in the backyard,
and we'll have like a big party. So we'll have,

(24:45):
you know, at least thirty people, but then sometimes fifty
or sixty, I don't know, it depends. And so I'm like,
oh my god, we got to take out Las Maletta's
the luggages. So I will literally go into each room's
closet and pull out the luggages, so like by the end,
like outside, we will have at least ten luggages for everybody,
and then we'll do everybody has to do it. Everybody
has to do a lap with around the pool, so

(25:07):
you have to like go up the stairs around the block.
Well you could do it around the block, but like
are the it's like it's a it's a big neighborhood. Like, no,
we're not doing it on the block. So we do
it around the pool outside. And I mean, guys like
ten out of ten success rate for now, because honestly,
I know, so that's one of Obviously we do the
grapes as well, and then I we don't really do

(25:31):
the colors. I don't care so much on the underwear part,
but those are like my two main things. And we
have to get the grapes and we have to get
the luggages for sure. I'm trying to think whatever else,
But what about you?

Speaker 3 (25:42):
I think I'm pretty big on the underwear really. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (25:46):
I do like yellow, okay, And what do they say
that like brings you?

Speaker 3 (25:52):
I think yellow is like success, red is love?

Speaker 2 (25:56):
Okay, I don't know what the I think my like,
yeah for good luck yellow, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (26:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (26:04):
Also, like my mom was always like just wear new underwear.

Speaker 1 (26:08):
Oh true, I've heard this one.

Speaker 2 (26:09):
Yeah, So it's like it doesn't and it's not so
much like in certain countries, like they're more focused on
like the color and other countries.

Speaker 3 (26:17):
It's like it just needs to be new.

Speaker 1 (26:21):
Yeah, I mean maybe maybe I should listen to that.

Speaker 3 (26:25):
Yeah maybe. Anyway, are you ready for my Famo sas segment?

Speaker 1 (26:30):
Let's do it?

Speaker 2 (26:32):
Okay, amazing, So every episode midye and if you've never
been to.

Speaker 3 (26:35):
An im My FuMO Sauce segment, been to like we're attending.

Speaker 2 (26:41):
This is where Madie will give you an assist in
the world of football and sport, and this is where
I give you an assist in the world of music.

Speaker 1 (26:52):
Let's do it all right, what's the latest in the
world of music, Homy.

Speaker 3 (26:55):
Well, everyone knows that bad Money is having his residency.

Speaker 1 (27:00):
Yeah, of course because we're all dying of Fomo right now.
Who are not at the concerts in Puerto Rico, Like no.

Speaker 2 (27:06):
Literally and like all the people that are like in
the casita like partying while he's there, Like that's that's that's.

Speaker 3 (27:13):
It's like I want to be in La gacita.

Speaker 2 (27:16):
It was like Lebron was there the first night and
mbab was there like he has all his friends right
now performs with him there.

Speaker 3 (27:25):
He like gave her this big smooch in the cheek.
Love that for her.

Speaker 1 (27:29):
Wait did you see the part where he covered up
a woman's teta? No, oh my god, this is breaking news,
Like I saw the yest.

Speaker 3 (27:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (27:39):
So there he was in la casita, so by Bunny
was like singing it right on the porch of his
casita at his concert. And then in front of him
there was a woman just like you know, vibing, singing
like this, and she had like this really deep like
v neck top and her teta was out of her
top a little bit. So he literally was just like

(28:01):
like kind of singing, and he goes up and just
like moves her top so that it would cover her
boob like that, And like it's gone viral and social
because I mean the man was a gentleman and covered
up her boob, covered up.

Speaker 2 (28:18):
I love that, love that he is. He is one
of the people. A man of the people, is what
I wanted to say. Speaking of which, then your music
video came out and we love that it came with
the pro immigrant message together we are stronger.

Speaker 3 (28:33):
Did you see it? Wait?

Speaker 1 (28:35):
Is this I don't think I saw the whole one.
Is this the one where like a statue of liberty.

Speaker 3 (28:38):
Was like, yeah, Oka, the wort Rican flag.

Speaker 1 (28:40):
Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes amazing.

Speaker 2 (28:42):
Iconic dropped on the fourth of July, Drop Yeah and
then photos. The track reached nine hundred million streams on Spotify.
It's the most streamed song released this year on the platform.

Speaker 1 (28:58):
Holy period, Holy, that is amazing.

Speaker 3 (29:03):
I also want to say that he randomly there was
like an Aula. Okay.

Speaker 2 (29:07):
Two more things about the Babuddy counsert. Number one, Ricky
Mario was also there. Number two, there was an Alita
that was like dancing on the Ona Senora that was
like dancing in the concert. And he was in the
gasita and he saw her. He's like, I want her
in my gasita. So he brought her up to the
gasita and the security literally picked her up like a
baby over the thing and like put her down, and

(29:28):
then she was like busting it down.

Speaker 1 (29:31):
Oh my god. Number two goals, goals.

Speaker 3 (29:35):
They're the sign language.

Speaker 1 (29:38):
Yes, I've seen that. Amazing so dirty.

Speaker 2 (29:45):
Bad ky Yoda rod Bama buck and the girl is like,
they're do we I can't even do the signals right now.

Speaker 3 (29:54):
I can't. I can't even do the signing. It was filthy, disgusting.

Speaker 1 (29:59):
I was like, oh my god, like if there's a
new language I want to learn. It's that one.

Speaker 2 (30:04):
It's literally like in between the hands talk out yes,
doing very sexual movements. And I was like, well, this
is absolutely a perfect interpretation of bad Money is lyrics
and the energy so fat shout out, shout out to
sign society. Yeah, to everyone that's out there, you know,

(30:26):
doing it for the people because we all deserve to
attend these concerts.

Speaker 1 (30:30):
It's amazing. Imagine like learning sign language, right, and I
used to take classes when I was little. I don't
know if you did, like in school. Yeah, uh, which
is incredible. It's an awesome like you know, you obviously
learn languages, but like sign language is so hard. It's
it's a talent of its own. But imagine like learning

(30:51):
the lyrics to Bad Bad Bunnies learning how to sign
them dude, mad props, Mad props so good.

Speaker 3 (31:00):
Well, I wanted to say that surpass five billion streams
on Spotify, so like that.

Speaker 1 (31:07):
Oh you know what you know what like mad respect
is that it's in Spanish, you know what I mean?
Like usually you would only see like these big numbers
for like streams and like even YouTube and all that
stuff with like English spoken songs. But the fact that
this is in Spanish, it's it's it's it's insane. It's like,
it's so freaking cool. I don't have any better words

(31:28):
to subscribe it iconic.

Speaker 3 (31:32):
Yeah, and I think that it also.

Speaker 2 (31:35):
Says a lot about American culture too. This is obviously
like we're talking about the world, but also like rounding up,
twenty percent of the United States is Latinos. So let's
just be real and let's just be honest about our
listening strategies and like not strategies, our listening tendencies.

Speaker 3 (31:56):
And you know what the culture.

Speaker 1 (31:57):
Says absolutely.

Speaker 3 (32:01):
And somebody, what's up in the world of sport?

Speaker 1 (32:04):
So the world sport. I wanted to mention one thing
that also like correlates to music because a few weeks
ago at the FIFA Club World Cup Final, we had
Jay Balvin at the desk and I got to meet
him and and oh, he just dropped an album exactly
he did, which I got to listen to most of it.
Actually I liked it. I liked it a lot. There's
some good there's some good beats or some good tunes.

(32:25):
There's one that are like more slow, but I really
did I really did enjoy it. Also his wife Valentina Ferre. Yes,
if you don't on TikTok Yes, if you don't follow
her on TikTok anig, like you're missing out. You need
to follow her because she is so funny and she's
also not only talented, but she's also a mom, and

(32:46):
so she like shares a lot of funny videos about
like being a mom. But then she also shares really
cool pov of you know, Jay Balvin's life as an
artist as well, and like you never really got to
see that side of Jay Balvin through his person and
all social media, and like she does a really great
job of like highlighting that and like uplifting him in
that sense. So I really enjoyed that. So back to

(33:09):
j Palvin when you spoke when you mentioned like immigration,
it was really cool because we just asked him at
the desk, like, you know, what's like how much importance
is it for you to be able to to be
the artist or one of the artists here at the
FIFA Club World Cup Final. And he was like, you know,
there's so much power between music and sport that brings

(33:32):
people together. But then he goes, but also, I'm an immigrant.
I'm an immigrant here in this country and I'm Latino,
and it's just like in this time of you know,
where we're at in this world, in this country as immigrants,
I think it's like super important to have these types
of opportunities as a Latino to like uplift other you know,

(33:53):
Latinos in this country. So I was like, I was,
we were on live TV, and I was just like wow,
like that was powerful. I love when he said that.

Speaker 2 (34:02):
And let's be real, there's also a reason why Benito
is not is deciding not to come to the United
States for his tour.

Speaker 1 (34:09):
Don't come, Benito, I don't have.

Speaker 3 (34:14):
The numbers in front of me.

Speaker 2 (34:15):
I'll come back to you guys with more information on
like what it's predicted to do for the Puerto Rican economy.

Speaker 3 (34:20):
But it's absolutely insane, like what it's doing.

Speaker 2 (34:22):
Like how much money it's bringing into the country and
how it's going to benefit you know people there. Yeah,
it's going to be chaotic, but it's going to be incredible.
But he said, people have an opportunity to see me
in so many different places.

Speaker 3 (34:36):
If they want to see me, they can come over here.
He's like, I'm not giving the US any money.

Speaker 1 (34:40):
Well, I love that honestly, mad respect because look, many
people know my husband's Puerto Rican Like I go to
Puerto Rico a lot. He was born and raised there,
and to see what like other artists in the United
States have done by doing residencies in like Las Vegas
and whatnot. The fact that he's able to hold his

(35:01):
own and do that in Porto Rico and sell out
these shows for months on end and provide this huge
economic boom to the island is massive, and like you said,
it is going to be chaotic, of course, but I
think it's it's huge that he can utilize his platform
to the best way possible to help his people. You know,

(35:22):
I love to see that. I guess that's it. I
mean in the world of sports, honestly, Like I'm just
getting back from vacation and I need to catch up because.

Speaker 3 (35:30):
Just chill, girl, relax. It's okay.

Speaker 1 (35:32):
But NWSL has just restarted again after like a summer
like month break, so there's a lot to look forward
to as ndebsel is restarting, and then of course the
European leagues are starting again for soccer that is, so
I will keep you tuned and posted once I have
my ground to the feet again and I'm back and

(35:53):
just like in it again. But for now, just let
me just like just let me like unsport for a minute.

Speaker 2 (36:00):
We got to girl, We got to thank you for
always keeping us in the loop though.

Speaker 3 (36:05):
