Haunting is Purgatory’s premier podcast. Each week, Haunting shares real-life paranormal podcasts told by those who experienced them first-hand. Hosted by Therésa (Teh-rez-ah), a dead person and influencer from the "other side," she's heard the other shows out there and believes nothing says lifeless like a paranormal podcast hosted by a mere mortal. The role of Therésa will be voiced by the quick-witted and hilarious comedian Lauren Lapkus, who starred in the projects The Wrong Missy, Netflix's The Characters, and Orange Is The New Black.

Therésa (00:01):
Greeting ghouls and girls, and welcome to Haunting, Purgatory's premiere
podcast for all things after life. I'm your host, Therésa.
We'll be bringing you different ghost stories each week, straight
from the person who experienced it firsthand. Some will be unsettling...

Story Clip (00:21):
When she was with her imaginary friend, she would turn
and look at you, and you felt like something else
was looking at you too.

Therésa (00:28):
Some unnerving...

Story Clip (00:30):
The more I looked at it, I realized that the
thumb looked more like a claw, like a demon.

Therésa (00:37):
Some even downright terrifying...

Story Clip (00:40):
The things that I saw, heard felt in that house were
purely demonic.

Therésa (00:47):
But all of them will be totally true.

Story Clip (00:51):
In order to make that upside -down handprint, it'd have
to be climbing down from the ceiling, as if somebody
crawled down the wall and onto the couch.
And I had said, hey Susie, it's time for dinner, and she
told me that her imaginary friend told me to stay out.
And as I went to step into that room, the
door slammed in my face. The dad kicks the door.

(01:17):
Little Susie was just sitting there and just looked over
and said, I told you he didn't want you to
come in.
It was about eleven -thirty, and I got into bed, and suddenly, the whole bad shot up.
It was like Hercules punched the floor beneath the bed

(01:39):
that had the power to crush flesh and bone. I
had been living with something that easily could have killed me.

Therésa (01:48):
So be sure to come back each week for more
supernatural stories of the unreal, unexplained, and unknown that will
send shivers down your spine and have you screaming, "what
the hell Therésa!" Just like my stepdad Jared used to
say when I would let the dog chew on his slippers.
