Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hello, my friend. Hello, how are you welcome back to
have a little faith with Delilah. I hope that you
have had a good week. If you were one of
the millions of people looking towards the sky during Rashashana, waiting,

(00:21):
waiting with expectation to hear the trumpets, and you might
be a little bit disappointed. I'm here for you. More importantly,
God's here for you, and we are going to talk
about how all things are possible to those who believe.
In the Book of Matthew, God says that all things

(00:43):
are possible with God. But those were words that came
directly from our Lord Jesus. These precious words describe God's
infinite power to transcend our human limitation. It also describes
that our faith creates the possibility to accomplish great things

(01:08):
simply because of our faith. I was talking to Michelle
earlier for a few minutes, but because we were having
some audio issues with Michelle's phone, we will jump into
this call with a little recap. Michelle, you were telling
me that you and your friends Snooks are in a
program together that helps women and children to get out

(01:32):
of shelters and into their own homes. You also shared
that both of you have been through a tremendous amount
of difficulties in your lives. I know you have recently
worked your way into housing a place of your own.
I also wanted to know how Snooks is doing. As

(01:52):
we pick up the conversation, I just wanted to know
if you both have your children with you now.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
Yes, we both had both had children with us. Yes, ma'am.
This is the longest, most shying year of both of
our lives.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
And because it's next to hopefully get a home and
for her and a girl, and I want you to
play something for her because because it took me over
a year of through this.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
Journey and she's got a little longer. But you don't
know yet.

Speaker 3 (02:15):
You know, you never know when it's going to end
and you get that rainbow of the home. But I
just wanted to let you.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
Know, So, Michelle, everybody in the world is talking about
those who who are unhoused and have opinions about the situation,
But rarely do I get to talk to somebody who
has been living on the street or living unhoused or
living in shelters and actually hear from somebody who has

(02:45):
lived that experience. So can I ask you some very
bold questions for it. If you could wave a magic
wand to fix the problem, where would you start.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
It starts with really listening to the person.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
So, how many children, Michelle, do you have?

Speaker 2 (03:04):
I have three boys, Aiden, Connor, and Declan.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
They're my life and they are seventeen, fourteen and twelve,
and two of them, Aiden and Declan have autism. And
so it's an extra special part of the journey. It's
a little hard to wow.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
That's a way to frame it. An extra special part
of the journey dealing with special needs children who, if
they are on the artistic spectrum, have a lot of
sensitivities to a lot of different environmental static and input
while you're navigating living in a shelter.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
Exactly, yes, ma'am.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
And are the boys with you in the shelter? They
with family members.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
Actually aid in My old host was with me the
whole time.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
Connor stayed with his dad because he chose a different lifestyle,
and Declan had something happen where he had to come
with me, and so he got to come with me
around November.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
And how did you find yourself after being married for
twenty three years, homeless with teenage boys.

Speaker 3 (04:06):
Well, my husband got us a victis from our home
for arguing with the landlord, and we went to stay
with his mother and I told her who he was
really and the things that he wasn't doing that were good,
and he denied it, and then they kicked me out
and my children chose to come with me, and I
had to rebuild.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
So, what kind of activities And I don't want to
embarrass you or him or get anybody in trouble, but
what kind of We're not going to mention names. What
kind of activities was he involved with that destroyed your marriage?
And you thought his mom needed to know the truth.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
At one point he started drinking, heavily drinking, and he
was verbally abusive to me and my children and just
kind of believed that he was the know at all
and I didn't really matter. And it's been this amazing
journey itself toever for me. But the part of it
that happened is that sudiful journey. I had strong women
supporting me, and between lawyers and judges and advocates and

(05:04):
everything on one of them. He hates them because they
stood up for me and they said to him, you
can't treat people like this anymore. And every time he
tried to fight back verbally or anyway in this process,
he was shut down. And that was the first time
in my life that I ever felt like someone listened
to me, you know, like I understood what I have

(05:24):
lived through for twenty something years of my life. You
have to fight for it, You have to fight for yourself.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
There's where I can help you. I'm glad you've called
me because I can tell you this. Systems will fail you.
Husbands and boyfriends will fail you, society will fail you.
But God will never ever ever fail you. He will
never leave you nor forsake you, and He will get

(05:51):
you and your children through this. And the sooner you
stop thinking it's all on you and you've got to
go this alone, and the sooner you just fall on
your face and say, Lord help now. That's all you
got to pray, Lord help me now, very short prayer.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
It's so ironic that you bring this up, and I
love that you said this, Solilah. But on last week,
when I was gonna with my housing, I went and
I prayed for the first time in two years. I'm
a raged Catholic, and I went and prayed, and I
sat at my grandparent's praid and I prayed, and I
just said, whatever's mant to be, please make this happen
for my family.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
And the next day I found out I got it.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
You're right, that's the beginning. But what the Lord wants.
Imagine you hadn't seen your kids, Michelle for a year.
Imagine they decided to take off and go with dad
and do all sorts of craziness, and then they see
you and they come running to you and they say, Mom,
can I have some money? Mom? Can I have a

(06:52):
candy bar? Mom? Can I have a new backpack? Instead
of Mom, I love you, I miss you. I want
to catch up. I want to find out what's going
on with you. I want to see how your heart is.
We desire a loving relationship with our children, and a
lot of times we spoil them in place of building

(07:14):
that relationship. In the same way we desire a loving
relationship with our kids, God desires a loving relationship with you.
He will spoil you and he will bless you, just
like you would reach in your pocket book and give
the last dime you had to your kid. But what
he really wants is to set with you and listen

(07:37):
to you and share his heart with you. Yeah, So
put the phone on speaker so I can pray for
both of you.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
Go ahead, Father God.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
I thank you Lord for allowing Michelle and Snooks to
get through on the phone lines. I thank you God
for having your hand upon these women. It sounds to
me like it's a miracle that they're alive. It's a miracle,
Lord God, that they have survived being on the street,
being in homeless shelters, being abused, being imprisoned, being sold out,

(08:10):
being beat up. Father, I pray that tonight would be
the night that they would choose you. They both have
confessed that they're tired of doing it on their own.
I pray that tonight they would say, not another day,
not another hour, will I do life on my own.
I want the Lord Jesus by my side. I want

(08:34):
him to be my Lord, my savior, my advocate, my
best friend, my doctor, my lawyer, my confidant. I want
the Lord to be the one I turn to in
times of trouble, and I want him to be the
one I turn to when I'm rejoicing and everything comes together. Father,
I am bold enough to ask that you would open
doors that both these women would have safe housing, affordable

(08:58):
housing for themselves in their children. Lord, they beat themselves up,
They feel like failures because they can't provide. And yet
our society is structured in such a way that soon
only the elite will be able to afford housing. It's
an on purpose. It's a system that's broken that is
making housing not affordable. The basic housing is not affordable

(09:24):
for normal, everyday people. Father, take away that shame they feel,
take away any guilt, and let them know, Lord God,
that you are with them. Your word says that the
righteous will not go begging bread. I pray God that
they would receive righteousness that comes from faith in You,

(09:45):
not from what we do, not from our acts. God,
I am so far from righteousness. But because I know You,
because you live within me, I have that righteousness visit
upon me. I pray God, these two women would choose
tonight to worship You, to believe in you, and to

(10:07):
make you the lord of their life. And I pray
you would open up the store gates of heaven and
pour out a blessing that is so great they can't
contain it. I ask the same for their precious baby's
Lord be with their children, and I ask all these
things in your holy name. We thank you Jesus Amen.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
That feels amazing. Thank you for believing in us.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
It's great that you called and I answered the phone.
But the main thing is God believes in you.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
Thank you. Thank you so much.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
Michelle and Snooks. Please keep in touch and know that
I will be praying for you. Most likely so will
everyone else who's listening to this call. And remember, all
things are possible through Christ. Never ever, ever forget that.
Up next, we have Victoria is feeling a lot of

(11:01):
what we're all experiencing. She's feeling like there is not
a solution to the divide, to the hurt, to the
pain of losing family and friends, but mostly she feels
the loss of her own faith. I'm about to let
her know that all things are possible through your faith.

Speaker 4 (11:22):
Oh, this is Victoria, and then my daughter Hannah is
here as well.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
Hi. Girls, welcome aboard. What can I do for you tonight?

Speaker 4 (11:30):
I know you don't talk politics on your show, so
I won't bring anything up.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
But it's all just very scary right now. It's like
the world's falling apart.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
But you know what you want to know the good news.
You want to know what lets me sleep at night?
What's that God is still on the throne. He has
not gone to sleep and left us on our own.
I can sleep at night at the end of my
show because I know that he's going to be up
all night and that nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing is

(12:03):
too difficult for the Almighty.

Speaker 4 (12:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
I love your show.

Speaker 4 (12:07):
I drive for Uber, so there are times when I'm
out late at night and your show is always on
in my car.

Speaker 1 (12:14):
So you kind of are used to being scared and
on edge at all times.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:22):
How old are you?

Speaker 4 (12:24):
I am forty three and I have twins that are nineteen, and.

Speaker 2 (12:28):
My daughter Anna lives with me.

Speaker 1 (12:30):
So mom, you gotta be careful because this much stress
and this much anxiety is not good for your heart.
It's not good for your soul, but it's not good
for your health.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
I definitely know that.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
So you got to take care of you. Do you
have a faith in the one that's in control or
are you just white knuckle in it?

Speaker 4 (12:53):
I have faith, but I've kind of, I guess, been
hurt by people in church.

Speaker 1 (13:01):
Did I say a single thing about having faith in people?

Speaker 2 (13:05):
No?

Speaker 1 (13:05):
No, did I say anything about a church.

Speaker 2 (13:09):
No, No, I do have faith.

Speaker 1 (13:11):
Yes, because people are corrupt, because people want power, want authority,
want to control others. The church is the perfect place
for bad people to do really horrible things, and they
do it in the name of God, and then God
gets blamed. That is true when all those horrible things

(13:34):
that are being done in His name are completely and
utterly contrary to His word and to his spirit.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
Exactly.

Speaker 4 (13:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
If God says, don't hit someone, don't hit someone, don't
hurt someone, don't hit someone, don't hurt someone, don't abuse someone,
and then somebody hits and hurts and abuses someone and
says God told me to do it. Who are you
going to believe the liar or the almighty?

Speaker 4 (14:03):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (14:04):
Yeah, So I don't belong to an organized religion anymore. Okay,
for all the reasons you probably are uncomfortable. But I
love the Lord Jesus with every fiber of my being,
and I will ever praise his name, and I cannot

(14:24):
say enough about the peace he gives me in the
midst of the craziness going on. Yeah, so it's okay
to walk away from abusers and from establishments and from
controlling organizations. Just don't ever walk away from God.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
I will remember that.

Speaker 1 (14:39):
Thank you all right, and you sound like a sweetheart.
I send you hugs, I send you love, I send
you prayers for peace via the airway.

Speaker 2 (14:50):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (14:53):
And the last call I want to share with you
on this podcast is from Daniel. Daniel is a walking,
talking example of how all things are possible. Let's hear
from Daniel right now. A.

Speaker 5 (15:06):
Hi, my name is Daniel. I would love to give
my beautiful wife a shout out and a request to
play a bon Jovi living on a prayer if you
didn't mind tell.

Speaker 1 (15:17):
Me about your beautiful wife, tell the world about your
beautiful wife.

Speaker 5 (15:22):
Well, we've been married for going on seventeen years now.
We have three beautiful girls, ages fourteen, twelve, and soon
to be two. We've the song is a special to
us because when we first met, we were, you know, struggling.

(15:43):
I was going from making four dollars an hour or
two now owning our own home and opening up a
small business. And that song is sentimental to us. And
I've been trying to call for a while now to
get on the show.

Speaker 2 (15:58):
So it's the night speaking with you.

Speaker 5 (16:00):
And I've always enjoyed your positive messages that you've said
throughout the radio. And I would always tell my wife
to listen to what you had to say, because we've
found to be influential and it's an honor to speak
with you and to give my wife a shot at
the same time.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
Oh sweet Okay, of all the things you've heard me
say on the air over the years, what was the
best wisdom you gleaned from one of our listeners, from
something they shared or from something I shared.

Speaker 5 (16:31):
Don't give up on your dreams. You said it recently,
no matter what it is, to don't give up. And
my wife and I opened up a small little reef business,
and she's had, you know, doubts that she was good enough.
And in one of those doubtful days, that's when you
relate your message to never give up on your dreams

(16:53):
and to keep remaining positive. And my wife was with
me at the time when we were listening, and I
looked at her and I told her, you see, even
Delilah's telling you don't give up on your.

Speaker 1 (17:04):
Dream Christmas wreaths, wreaths with like eucalyptus. What are we
talking about here?

Speaker 5 (17:09):
Yeah, you caalyptus wathes basically all seasonal. You know, she's
like Easter, Spring, the Hollidays, they come around, so she's
going to be making those as well. But yeah, ever since,
you know, she's been doubtful that she was good enough,
and your message really got through to her. And so

(17:30):
I thank you for that.

Speaker 1 (17:33):
Whenever you hear something like that, know that that's not me,
that's God borrowing my voice. Sometimes I'll come in here
and I'll be planning on, you know, I take notes
throughout the day, and I'll plan on talking about, you know,
my kids packing the lunch for school. And I sat
down with my notes in front of me, and I

(17:54):
turn on the microphone and out of my mouth comes
something entirely different that I hadn't even planned on sharing.
But God's like, no, you're going to talk about this.
You're going to talk about using your creativity and weaving
together a wreath that's a symbol of love, a circle
that has no end, and displaying that to welcome people

(18:15):
into your home. That's what you're going to talk about.
I'm like, oh, okay, So when you hear me say
things like that, please know that that's God that said.
I'm just going to borrow your vocal cords, since I
own the airwaves, I just I need somebody needs to
hear this right now. D So I'm step aside, step
aside and share this.

Speaker 5 (18:37):
That means so much more to me, because, to be honest,
a few years back, my faith was not as strong
as it is now. And I'm it's been going on
seven years since my last drink. I've been completely sober
and that has been with God's help and me finding

(18:58):
my faith. My life has completely changed. I've been with
a company for twelve years. I was unhappy. I was
on third shift, and I've asked God for help, and
I've been praying very much, very hard, and that my
bond with God has been like before, and I found
a new career and life has I've never looked back.

(19:20):
I I'm firing on all cylinders and you know, taking
my family along the way, and we've never been happier.
And to be honest, at this new job, we just
started listening to your show for I want to say
three years now, and it's our favorite show to listen
to nowadays. To be honest, and yeah, you know your
messages are strong and they're very influential, and it's an

(19:43):
honor to be speaking with you, and this is I
don't know if you heard me, a little one speaking right.
Nazi's in the background with their bottle of milk, But yeah, no,
it's what you said, is just it. It gave me
the chills, you know, And yeah, I just know that
your positive messages reaches out to more than you know.

Speaker 1 (19:59):
Well, if you are clean and sober, and you're working
a program, and you're doing the steps and you're doing
everything possible to have a clear mind and a clear vision,
trust me, you will be hearing the Almighty and everything
you see and do, you'll feel that guidance, that presence

(20:23):
of love of the Almighty every day. That's why alcoholism exists,
That's why drug addiction exists. Is because just like there
is an Almighty who wants to lead us in goodness
and love, there's an adversary that doesn't want us to
experience those things. So if we're high, if we're drunk,

(20:46):
if we're gambling, if we're putting ourselves in compromising situations
where we're not being valued and honored, we're not going
to be able to hear the voice of the almightds
We're going to stumble and fall flat on our face.

Speaker 5 (21:04):
I've realized that, and it's I can't believe I've been
a fool so long. But you know, we were all
young at one point and made mistakes. But I'm glad
I finally made the right decisions and the family and
I have never been happier.

Speaker 1 (21:18):
All things are possible when you have just a teeny
tiny little speck of sand of faith. If your faith
is no bigger than the head of a pen, you
can accomplish so much. All things are possible for those
who have faith.

Speaker 2 (21:34):
I couldn't agree more so all.

Speaker 1 (21:36):
These conversations with Michelle and Snooks and Victoria and Daniel.
Very different people, very different situations, very different walks of life.
But one thing we all have in common, those four
people and myself and probably you, and that is this,
we cannot do it on our own. I can't do

(21:58):
anything on my own. I can't make my heart beat
on my own. I can do so little on my own.
But with Christ, I can do all things. Through Christ,
who strengthens me, I can pick up and carry on
even when I don't feel like it, even when I

(22:18):
feel like giving up, even when I feel like tossing
my hands up and saying I don't want to do
this anymore. I can take care of the five kids
that God has placed in my life right now, even
though I'm tired, even though I'm sixty five, even though
I have been parenting for forty two years, I can

(22:39):
keep going. I can do all things through Christ, who
strengthens me, and so can you. But that begins with
putting your faith in Christ. If you have not done that,
if you have not taken that step of faith, can
I encourage you to do that today? Make today the
day that you say, you know what, I'm tied tired

(23:00):
of doing this on my own. I'm tired of trying
to come up with all the answers on my own.
I'm trying to trying to balance everything, trying to keep
all these balls up in the air. I'm tired. And
I am going to lay it down right now at
the foot of the cross. I'm going to lay it down,
and I'm going to leave it there, and I'm going

(23:21):
to choose to give my life, my will, my strong,
stubborn will turn it over to a power greater than myself,
turn it over to the Lord. And when you pray
that very simple prayer and say Jesus, come into my heart,

(23:42):
write my name and your book of life, and be
with me and guide me. Once you make that choice,
trust me, he's there. He's never going to leave you,
he's never going to forsake you, never ever, ever, ever ever.
He loves you, and there's nothing you can do to
change that love. It's a gift. God bless you, and

(24:07):
I will see you again soon. Here on, have a
little faith with Delilah. Delah
