Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hey it's Delilah. Thank you for stopping by. I have
put together some of my favorite radio moments here to
share with you on our daily podcast. Hey it's Delilah. Today,
I'm sharing some of the greatest calls I've taken recently.
(00:24):
We're gonna weave them together and share them with you
on Hey It's Delilah. Hello, good evening, Welcome to the
Delilah Show. Who is this Hio?
Speaker 2 (00:36):
Jamie?
Speaker 1 (00:37):
Tell me who you're thinking of tonight? Jamie, thank you
for calling. By the way, who are you thinking of?
Speaker 3 (00:43):
I'm thinking about the love of my life.
Speaker 4 (00:45):
We live in separate places right now.
Speaker 5 (00:47):
So I'm missing her very much. And her name is
Her name is Gwndell?
Speaker 1 (00:53):
And when will you be united with Gwndell? Or do
you know? Is this one of those open ended living
in separate places things.
Speaker 2 (01:02):
It's an open ended right now.
Speaker 1 (01:04):
Would you like a little encouragement, Jamie? Yes, please. My
husband and I are celebrating our eleven year anniversary. We've
been together seventeen years and we live in two separate states.
We've never except for when COVID hit, we've never lived together. Oh,
We've had a commuter relationship for the entire eleven years
(01:24):
we've been married, and it's actually probably the reason that
our union has lasted this long, because we miss each other,
and then when we see each other, it's like, you know,
a honeymoon all over again.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
Very true.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
So hopefully you'll stay connected heart to heart, you'll call,
you'll face time, you'll make each other your top priority,
and the time will speed by.
Speaker 3 (01:48):
Absolutely.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
Thank you for calling. I'll find a sweet love song
for you. T'sracy, Welcome aboard. What can I do for
you tonight?
Speaker 3 (02:03):
I just wanted to say thank you.
Speaker 4 (02:06):
I was just listening to you and you were talking
about how you have been doing this for thirty years,
and I was thinking, when I was a little girl,
my aunt and my grandmother and my mom, I would
listen to.
Speaker 3 (02:19):
You, and there have been two of them that have
passed away, and it was just a really good memory
for me. So I just want to thank you for
what you do. It was very comforting to hear your
show tonight.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
Well, so let's have a Friday night girls celebration together.
Speaker 3 (02:37):
Yes I do believe they're still with us, but yes,
your show was a blessing and they always loved your show,
and I still love it today, So thank you for
what you do.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
You're welcome, Tracy. Are you all grown up now? Do
you have a family of your own?
Speaker 4 (02:52):
I do.
Speaker 3 (02:52):
I'm actually forty and I have an eighteen year old
and a twenty three year old, so yep?
Speaker 1 (02:58):
And did we share the show show with them? Am
I like four generations here?
Speaker 4 (03:03):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (03:03):
You are my daughter. We listen to you when we
go on our little girl's day because she's eighteen now,
we go get her hair done and so you know,
on the way back we'll be listening to you, so
she always knows Delilah's on.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
What a blessing, What an honor to be included in
your family tradition all these years, Tracy, thank you for calling,
and thank you for the thank you. You are most
certainly welcome, and so long as God gives me a
voice and a platform, I'll be right here.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
Well, thank you so much, Elilah. I hope you have
a great night.
Speaker 1 (03:33):

my mom? I'm actually active duty Army.
Speaker 1 (04:02):
Thank you, thank you for your service.
Speaker 6 (04:04):
It's a pleasure. But it's been a rough few years
from my mom, and she's just been a She's been
a huge rock in my world, helping me through everything
throughout my career, all my hardships, and I just wanted
to dedicate a song to her to just let her
(04:25):
know how thankful I am for everything she's done for me.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
I can't think of anything to be more thankful for
than a mama who loves you.
Speaker 6 (04:34):
Yes, ma'am.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
What's her name, Patricia? How old are you?
Speaker 6 (04:39):
Twenty years old?
Speaker 1 (04:41):
How old were you when you went into the military.
Speaker 6 (04:43):
I was eighteen when I I signed my contract and
I went off to basics.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
Wow, good for you? Is she worried? With all the
wars and rumors of wars going on in the world
every day? She must be Terrif.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
I'm in God's hand, He'll see me through to the end,
no matter what.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
Amen to that. I've got a son in law that
is in the military right now. I've got a young
lady who's like a daughter to me, who just went
off to Basic And I'm like, oh, you picked a
tough time to decide to do this, and then a
(05:28):
dear friend, Lacey, her daughter is in the Air Force.
I mean, just so many people I love have kids
or grandkids serving, and I pray a lot. I just
say that, I pray a lot.
Speaker 6 (05:40):
Ma'am.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
Thank you for calling God bless you.
Speaker 6 (05:43):

for you?

Delilah?
Speaker 5 (06:02):
You are you familiar withis us semi colon philosophy? Oh?
Speaker 1 (06:05):
Yeah, take a pause.
Speaker 5 (06:07):
You have been my semi colon, darling. I have been
through well. Uh. I can't say it, but it starts
with an H. If it wasn't for you, Delilah, I
would not be wearing a semi colon. That's all I
can say. Many many, many, many, many many times I
thought about just laying in front of a train. But
(06:31):
I'm still here because of you. Any gracious gift that
anyone could ever give you, please, for the love of God,
take it. I beg of you.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
I'm glad you're taking a pause. I'm glad you're not
laying down on the track. I'm glad you're not making
a choice that you can't take back.
Speaker 5 (06:52):
And part of that is because of you and the
what you say to us listeners, and the advice you
give and just the love you are phenomenal woman.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
Thank you. I accept that, and I'm going to play
a song for you and me.
Speaker 5 (07:07):
Okay, thank you, Delilah. God bless you, God, bless you.
Speaker 1 (07:11):

Speaker 5 (08:02):
No?
Speaker 2 (08:03):
We've had a rough few years, but we're trying to
repair things.
