Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hey, it's Delilah. Thank you for stopping by. I have
put together some of my favorite radio moments here to
share with you on our daily podcast. From Cinderella moments
to becoming grandparents for the first time, to experiencing a

(00:26):
heartache and healing from above. It's the variety of callers
and stories that make this such a special place to
share with you each day. Welcome to Hey it's Delilah. Hi,
good evening, Raymond, Welcome to the Delilah Show. Tell me,

(00:48):
tell me who is on your heart tonight.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
Her name is Leah.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
Who is Leah and why does she bring a smile
to your face?

Speaker 2 (00:57):
I met her at a camp that I go to
for blind being that I'm blind myself. I lost my
dad last year. She basically kept me calm because she
lost her grandmother. She's also blind, and she goes to
Reinhardt University. She's trying to get her bachelor's degree in music,

(01:19):
and when she gets out of that, she's going to
do her doctorate to become a music therapist. She gave
me back my music because I'm a guitar player and
when my dad passed away, I just didn't think it
was worth playing much anymore. So, I just so being
that she plays piano and sings, she gave that back

(01:39):
to me.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
So is she a friend, a buddy friend, a camp friend,
or is she somebody that you could possibly see yourself
falling head over heels in love with.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
I could see myself spending the rest of my life
whether she was a camp friend until July fourteenth of
this year.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
So this is a friendship that's kind of caught fires,
That's what I'm hearing. Oh yeah, And do you think
she feels the same? Is she a little Twitter patd?

Speaker 2 (02:06):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (02:07):
How many times a day do you guys call or
text each other?

Speaker 2 (02:10):
We text and call each other every day.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
And have you had a chance to visit in person
since camp was over? Or do we have to wait
on that?

Speaker 2 (02:20):
I got to wait on that.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
Yeah, you said she's in school and studying. Let me
play a song for you to let her know that
she could possibly possibly be the love of your life.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
I appreciate that.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
Good luck, Raymond, God bless you. Hi, Lindsey, Welcome to
the Delilah Show. How was your summer? Are you excited
about the autumn ahead?

Speaker 3 (02:47):
Yes, ma'am, I am.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
What can I do for you tonight.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
I just left an abusive relationship and my children need
to know that their mother is a strong How long.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Did it take to get the courage to say no more,
no more, I don't you don't ever get to hurt
me again.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
It took sixteen years.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
I am so sorry, but very proud of you.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
How old are the little ones?

Speaker 3 (03:17):
They are fourteen and twelve.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
And are they happy that you're going to be in
a peaceful situation or are they just kind of scared?

Speaker 3 (03:25):
It's actually crazy that my oldest son is the one
that said to me, Bobby, when is enough enough?

Speaker 1 (03:32):
So you passed along some wisdom whether you knew it or.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
Not, Yes I did, and I didn't realize it.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
But my children hurt.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
In the meantime, yep. And it's going to take a
while to heal that. But if you work together, and
you counsel together, and you pray together, God can do anything.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
Oh well, God is so powerful.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
I would say, probably without him and your faith in him,
you might not be making this phone call right now.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
You're probably right.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
Let me see what I can do for this whole
family tonight, but mostly for your heart, MoMA. I'm proud
of you.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
Thank you so much.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
I love you. Welcome aboard. This is Delilah who is
on the phone line with me.

Speaker 4 (04:23):
Delilah, my name is Anthony. The reason I was calling
is because I've listened to you for a long long time,
and I've always listened to you taken a lot of
great advice throughout the years, you know, in relationships, and
I've found the love of my life, the girl that
I want to spend the rest of my life with,

(04:43):
and I would like to dedicate a song for her.
It's I swear by all for one. If that's the possibility.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
How do you know that song that's a little bit
before your time? I'm guessing how old are you, Anthony.

Speaker 4 (04:57):
Well, I'm thirty eight, and so I've always been a
bit of a music buff. I'm a singer myself, and
so that was one of the first R and B
songs that I tried to sing. I remember at a
solo concert in high school, and just a beautiful song,
and it basically says everything I want to be able
to say to the love of my life.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
So, when you have this opportunity, when this event takes place,
when you are down on the knee asking her what
she's doing, you know forever? Are you going to break
into song and sing it to her? Because that would
be really special.

Speaker 4 (05:31):
You know, I thought about it, and I think I
may just do that.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
Anthony, what's her name, Dahlia? What is it about her
character that you said this? This is what I want
to wake up and see every day for the rest
of my life.

Speaker 4 (05:44):
She's a caring soul. She genuinely cares about those around her.
She's a great mother of two daughters. You know. One
of the things I have a eight year old son.
So for me, you know, having someone who was a
good mother was a very very important thing for me,
and that's something that she definitely brings to the table.

(06:04):
But not only that. When we're together, it's it's magic,
it's fireworks. There has never been a dull moment in
our short time. We've been together two months, but it
was an instant connection from the moment we met. And
I just when they say, you know, you know it's
absolutely true.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
I will play that for you and I hope you
have a wonderful autumn and a magical, magical winter. Thank you, Delilah,
you have a great night, good evening. Welcome aboard who
is on the phone line tonight, Gloria, Hi, Gloria, what

(06:46):
can I do for you on this glorious night?

Speaker 3 (06:49):
I would like to honor you tonight. May I call
you my friend? Of course? Well, I would like to
honor you tonight. What's what's your favorite song?

Speaker 2 (07:01):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (07:01):
My gosh, Gloria, I have way too many favorite songs.
I have a what is now known as a neuro
divergent brain. My brain operates a little differently than the
average person. So when I love a song, I will
literally put it on repeat and listen to it five, ten,

(07:23):
twenty times.

Speaker 3 (07:26):
I understand that. Believe you. May I have some favorite
songs so that I nor.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
In my head yep, yep.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
Well, you pick whatever song you want to play.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
Thank you. Well, I will play a song. I will
say it's for me from my friend Gloria.

Speaker 3 (07:46):
Okay, you have a good night. Delilah. You're a good lady.

Speaker 1 (07:51):
Thank you, God bless you. I so hope you have
enjoyed these radio moments as much as I enjoy bringing
to you. I'll share more with you each weekday on
Hey It's Delilah.
