Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hey, it's Delilah. Thank you for stopping by. I have
put together some of my favorite radio moments here to
share with you on our daily podcast. Hey it's Delilah.
Every night on my radio show, I take a variety
of calls from people from all walks of life, and
(00:26):
today I want to share some of those wonderful calls
with you. Hi, good evening, you've called the Delilah Show.
Who is this?
Speaker 2 (00:38):
Hi?
Speaker 3 (00:38):
This is Harry.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
Harry, who's on your heart on this hot summer night.
Speaker 3 (00:43):
My girlfriend, she's been such a blessing to me, honestly,
and she has her doubts. Everybody has our ups and downs,
but I know it's everybody's like that, but she really
really brings my spirits up every single day. So shout
out to her for being such an amazing person.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
What's her name.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
Her name's Valerie.
Speaker 1 (01:04):
Okay, Now, everybody has their ups and downs. But you
said folks have their doubts. Why is anybody doubting that
you too are truly meant to be together?
Speaker 3 (01:13):
No, if there is any doubts, it's mostly you know,
the common economics political stuff that you can't control. A
lot of people like to pressure couples into saying, oh,
are you going to be able to survive the time,
because times can get really rough.
Speaker 1 (01:31):
Yeah, but what a crazy thing to put on a couple.
Speaker 3 (01:33):
I mean, not just the heat over here against this.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
Yeah, well the heat the like you said, the political climate,
everything going on can I guess tend to make you crazy.
But I hope none of my listeners ever ever approach
somebody they love a couple, they love a family, is there?
Are you going to be able to make it? And
sit about how can we work together to make sure
(01:59):
that we're repaired come what may? How can I help you?
How can I help you to you know, do a
little planning so that if there is a power outage,
if an it crash happens again, if it affects our infrastructure,
we've got what we need to get by it. Wouldn't
(02:20):
that be a better I don't know a better way
to approach it.
Speaker 3 (02:23):
Yeah, I mean positivity always, some negative needs and planning,
plain and simple pretty much.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
Yeah. Yeah, but let me see if I can't find
a sweet song for you and Valerie, a song that
speaks of happier days ahead.
Speaker 3 (02:39):
That'd be perfect. Thank you so much.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
You have a great night, na Heed, welcome. What can

which is he's supposed to come home. But then as
much time missed my baby, I'm glad he didn't have
come home because of the hurricane. The hurricane hit was hot.
So yeah, he's actually he's in Tucson and here I'm
(03:30):
missing him on his birthday. So I'm gonna you play
a nice song for my baby.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
And what's your baby's name?
Speaker 4 (03:36):

Speaker 1 (03:38):

Speaker 4 (03:42):

for his birthday, but this is the July the tenth,
but then something came up. He could not come home.
Speaker 1 (03:51):
But then a hurricane happened and power went down and
trees went over and but he's safe and sound, and
so are you.
Speaker 4 (03:58):
Yes, ma'am, I mean myself myself. I didn't have power
for seven days, so.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
I'm glad it's back. I'm glad your ac is working.
Let me play a birthday song for your birthday boy.
Speaker 4 (04:10):
He yes, Mom, I say, yeah, he's not a baby anymore,
but he's still my baby boy.

and my three kids.

Speaker 5 (04:50):
Chris is my husband. I have Lily, Ava and Wyatt.
Speaker 1 (04:54):
And how old are the kids?
Speaker 5 (04:56):
The girls are twins and they will be thirteen and Wyatt.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
Is Oh do they help with the baby a lot?
And as he spoiled rotten because he's got twin big sisters.
Speaker 5 (05:08):
Mostly fighting, but you know they try.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
All right, what can I play for your beautiful family?
And wait? First, what's the best thing the most fun thing,
the most rewarding thing that you have got to do
your family this summer.
Speaker 5 (05:23):
We just got back from Colorado Springs and it was
the best time ever. And I hope you go back
next year.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
We went through Colorado Springs on our epic road trip
this summer, my husband and two of our kids and
two of our grandkids. And it is beautiful, it is.
Speaker 5 (05:42):
I loved it. I just could strive forever and just
look at the mountains.
Speaker 1 (05:47):
I think that there's a reason that their population has
like boomed the last few years because it is gorgeous.
So what song? Did you have one on your heart?
Or you want me to pick one?
Speaker 5 (05:58):
I want you to pick one.
Speaker 1 (06:00):
I will find a great one for you. Continue to
enjoy your summer, Stay cool, stay safe, Thank you, Hi Annie, welcome.
What can I do for you?
Speaker 2 (06:16):
Well, I'm a longtime listener for a time caller, and
I was listening to your show tonight and it had
me reminiscing about my ex.
Speaker 1 (06:25):
All right, tell me about the acts and I'll tell
you if I think it's a good thing you're going
down memory lane, or if maybe you should do a
U turn and turn around.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
Oh, I probably should do a you turn, but oh.
Speaker 1 (06:38):
Good for you, so you recognize that. Okay.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
So it was a lot of sister relationship and it
lasted for about a year and a half and we
ended up breaking up last year because he was going
through some emotional issues and he felt like he wasn't
good enough for me, so he wanted to let me
go and I let him.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
Good for you, He didn't try to talk him out
of it and say no, no, really, I don't deserve better.
I deserve somebody who's emotionally unavailable and not there for
me because you're going through stuff. Please please.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
I did try to be there for him, but he
didn't want it, so I didn't want to, you know,
cling on if you didn't want me.
Speaker 1 (07:19):
Good for you. How old are you? I'm forty four,
So it's taking you a little minute to learn this,
but you're learning it faster than I did when I
was younger. That you deserve somebody who will fight for
you and wants to be there for you and wants
to be connected to you.
Speaker 2 (07:38):
Yeah, I agree.
Speaker 1 (07:39):
But you miss him? Yeah I do because he was
cute and funny. And how long has it been since
you two were together?
Speaker 2 (07:47):
Almost a year? Oh?
Speaker 1 (07:48):
Honey, closed that door.
Speaker 2 (07:50):
I'm trying to close.
Speaker 1 (07:52):
That door, latch the latch, and walk on down the
road of life.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (07:58):
The plan that God had for your life is so
wonderful and involve somebody who will adore you and want
to be with you no matter what. Okay, thank you
all right, thank you for calling, thank you for listening.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
Thank you very much. You're welcome.
Speaker 1 (08:19):
I so hope you will enjoy these radio moments as
much as I enjoy bringing them to you. I'll share
more with you each weekday on Hey It's Delilah. Do
