Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hey it's Delilah. Thank you for stopping by. I have
put together some of my favorite radio moments here to
share with you on our daily podcast. Hey it's Delilah.
We love to share wonderful stories, wonderful calls with you,

(00:24):
and today we're going to do a little mash up,
a mashup of some of my favorite calls, old and new. Hi, Lindsey,
it sounds like you are driving home from someplace tonight.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
Yes, I'm driving home and I'm with my husband and
my kiddos, and we love listening to your show and
we're on our way home from church, and we like
to hear the stories that with the happy endings. And
I always tell my family I'm going to call in
one day and share how much I love my husband

(01:00):
and their dad. And they think that's so silly, But
here I am, and I made it on the show.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
They think it's silly that mom's being romantical. Yeah, did
they go ooh ooh every time he hugs you and
gives you a kiss, like mind you when my husband
comes up behind me and kisses me, They're like ooh.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
Ooh, yes every time. And we have a rule in
our house if they say ooh. That means we kiss again.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
So there they go. Now, what's the rule They can't
say ooh to me on the radio?

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Yeah, that's right, y'all can't say Uda Delilah.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
I will play a song for your whole family, lindsay God,
bless you. Thank you for calling, and have a very
wonderful new year.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
All right, thank you doo.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
Hi Robert, what can I do for you tonight?

Speaker 3 (01:55):
Well, I'm thinking about it really very gosfriended. Bzzie is
all the my dad. He's nineteen years older than I am.
I will make a long story short. But we both
bought music. I made him in the music store about
twenty years ago. Anyway, we went to lunch the next
week he brought me a multi track. I can't believe this.

(02:16):
I said, how would you do something like that for me?
The thing was one hundred bucks, one hundred and fifty bucks,
but it was on corn Simon and he got it
for me. And we just started going up to lunch
every week. And so his name is Chuck and he's
just like a dad to me. I've got their two
dads and I have a third step dad. But and
I don't talk. We don't get along, but not too

(02:36):
Dad that died in the past years, and I just
wanted to dedicate a song to him. A father Figure
by George Michael.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
You are a blessed man to have randomly met somebody
that your spirit connected with and have formed a lifelong
friendship with. What a gift.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
And you don't know how long I've been trying to
reach you forever. I've tried advice forever. I mean just
I'm so glad that I finally reached you.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
Dualah, Robert Chad, I'm glad you reached me, and I'm
glad you have such an enthusiastic spirit. I love that.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
Thank you. If you could play father figure about George
margin that would make my eye.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
I will do that. Hey, it's Delilah, who's on the
phone tonight with me?

Speaker 4 (03:30):
Hi, Delilah, And here is Jay, Hi. J.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
You're driving, Hopefully you're driving responsibly, hands free.

Speaker 4 (03:38):
I am an un a hands free That's why maybe
that the sound is not great. But tonight I just
would like to be grateful because I'm coming back home
after a week away in a congress from business, and
I'm going back home to my lovely spouse of twenty
three years and though through the years we had many

(04:02):
rough patches, it was always there to support me in
all my projects endeavors. And I just want to give
it my homage Dad. He's been there to support me
and I can't wait to be home in about three hours.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
Well you drive carefully, my friend. I'm glad you are
heading home. I'm glad you've made it through the years.
And let me find the sweetest song.

Speaker 4 (04:27):
Thank you very much for being here for all of us.
Delilah and I love you so much.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
Love you, Han, Thank you, Bye bye, Hi Elizabeth, welcome aboard.
What can I do for you?

Speaker 5 (04:49):
I want to dedicate you picked a song that I
want to dedicate a song to my parents and for
all those who take their parents for granted. My parents,
I feel like they've been the best parents ever, even
though we don't get along, because who fits along with
their parents never?

Speaker 1 (05:11):
But how old are you?

Speaker 5 (05:13):
I am almost thirty five.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
And you don't get along with your folks.

Speaker 5 (05:18):
I get along with them, but it's like sometimes like disagreement.
You know, I'm the more stubborn one. I'm the one
that is the adult and thinks that I know everything, And.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
Okay, but if you have the self awareness to admit.

Speaker 5 (05:35):
That sometimes I take it for granted.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
Don't you have the ability to change that?

Speaker 5 (05:42):
Yes, but I think it's more me being stubborn than anything.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
That's what I'm saying. If you have the ability, that's
called self awareness, when you can see that in yourself.
If you have that self awareness, do you not have
the ability to let go oh of childish stubbornness and say, Hey,
I don't have to have my way. I can love
you just the way you are.

Speaker 5 (06:07):
Sometimes not all the time I need.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
I'm working on it, little by little, Elizabeth. I say
every night on my show, nobody's promised tomorrow. I say
this with love. Stop fussing. Stop fussing at your folks.
They need you, You need them, so work at connecting
heart to heart.

Speaker 3 (06:25):
Thank you, Delilah.

Speaker 5 (06:26):
I listen to you every night. You brighten up my
night every night.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
God bless you.

Speaker 6 (06:38):
Hi.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
My name is Chris, Hi, Chris, Mine's Delilah. What can
I do for you?

Speaker 4 (06:44):
Well?

Speaker 6 (06:44):
I was just hoping I could give a shout out
to my beautiful fiance. She's a very much so a
long time listener and she absolutely loves your show. She
loves hearing the story. And this past week was our
anniversary and she just so happens to be out of town.

(07:06):
So I just wanted to call and give her a
shout out and let her know that she's the love
of my life and the best thing ever happened to me.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
So how how many points? How many fiance points are
we gonna win? Here? Chris with the fiance? If I
picked if, if if we played the perfect the perfect song.

Speaker 6 (07:25):
For her, Woh, well, she's perfect, so I think it
would be a perfect ten.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
What's her name?

Speaker 6 (07:32):
Her name is Page?

Speaker 1 (07:33):
And when are we? When are we tying the not?
You said, fiance? So have you set a date?

Speaker 3 (07:38):
So not yet.

Speaker 6 (07:39):
We're currently like working to try and say for a
wedding because we're trying to do something like real special.
We're both the Disney people, so we want to try
and do something there. So we're both working like crazy
to try.

Speaker 1 (07:54):
And something at the Magic Castle. Something I don't know,
a princess dress.

Speaker 6 (08:02):
Something like that. Yeah, Like we've done a little bit
of research into it, so we have an idea of costs.
So we're just trying to, you know, work as hard
as we can to try and get to that point, I.

Speaker 1 (08:12):
Will play a princess song, a perfect song for your
perfect page. How's that?

Speaker 6 (08:20):
I really appreciate that. Thank you, you're the best.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
I so hope you have enjoyed these radio moments as
much as I enjoy bringing them to you. I'll share
more with you each weekend on Hey, It's Delilah.
