Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hey, it's Delilah. Thank you for stopping by. I have
put together some of my favorite radio moments here to
share with you on our daily podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
You know, we talk a lot about family and about
friends on this show. We talk about the most important
people in our lives. We also give a little credit
to our furry friends that keep us company, our family
members with four legs. Pets have a natural gift for
making a smile, making us happier, making us feel loved.

(00:38):
If you have a companion animal, give your dog or
your cat, or your bird or whatever, it is an
extra little bit of love from me. Hi, good evening,
Welcome to the Delilah Show.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Who is this Anthony?

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Hi Anthony? How are you this evening?

Speaker 3 (00:56):
I am great, Deliva, How are you?

Speaker 2 (00:59):
I'm wonderful. Who's on your heart? Who are you thinking about?

Speaker 3 (01:02):
Her name is Rosie?

Speaker 2 (01:04):
All right? Tell me your sweet story with Rosie.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
Oh.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
Approximately seven years ago, I went to an organization in
Tennessee very distraught, a very broken soul, and was paired
with a four legged, wet nosed savior. I had two
options that night. I was going to get a dog
and get help, or I was going to not come home.

(01:30):
At all, I was going to go meet God. She
was paired with me. She was also a broken soul,
severely beaten as a puppy. We were paired. We've been
together ever since. Fast forward about four years. I had
a surgery that went totally AWRYE was told to get
my affairs in order. She refused to give up on me,

(01:53):
and I refused to give up on her the commitment
I had made to her. We've been together ever since.
We're beating the odds. We're just living life together.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
And what breed of beautiful baby girl is Rosie?

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Maybe girl is a mixed breed. We get all of
our pups that through this organization come out of shelters
where they're going to be euthanized, and then they're retrained
and they're given to our veterans to help us cope.
I don't need to DNA test because it.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Doesn't matter to me, doesn't matter, doesn't matter.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
She's actually a full service dog and she just she's amazing.
She has we have and it started from day one.
I get one single lick on the nose, That's that's it,
no more, no less, And that's our way of saying Dad,
I got you back.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
She sounds absolutely adorable. Give her lots of extra scratches
on the belly tonight for me, and I'm going to
play a love song for you and this gift from
God that saved your life she did.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
Thank you de Lallah, Thank.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
You God, bless you. Hi, welcome to the Delilah Show.
What can I do for you?

Speaker 4 (03:11):
I wanted you to play a song for my best friend.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
Who is your best friend? And what do you want
to tell your best friend?

Speaker 4 (03:19):
He's actually my dog, but I really have a connection
with him, and I really love him, and he's always
been there for me and I've always been there for him.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
And what is your doggie's name? And how long have
you had your dog?

Speaker 4 (03:34):
His name is Finn. He's four now. I've had him
since a couple of days before my eleventh birthday.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
How about I play a great friendship song for all
of us who love our four legged friends. Thank you
so much, Thank you so much. I'm glad you've got
a forever friend in Finn.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
Me too, Violet. Yes, welcome aboard. Have I talked to
you in the past. No, you have a very familiar
voice to me.

Speaker 5 (04:13):
No, I'm seventy one years old. I want you to
play a song for me and for my dog, my
service dog, Charlie. I'm disabled and I found Charlie, my dog,
right beside the road dying about a year ago, and

(04:34):
he had lunch disease, and I took care of him
and nursed him back to health. And now I've got
him microchipped and got all the shots, and he's very
healthy and very normal, and he's a bit bull boxer mix,
and the doctor sertrovide him as my service dog. And

(04:58):
I've been disabled all this all my life. I've been
able to work from but I live alone, and without Charlie,
I'd be very lonesome.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
So nobody is is going to come between you and
your puppy.

Speaker 5 (05:13):
No day he dropped him beside the road, and the
people said that he had been dropped about five days
and he was laying there starving to death about a
year ago when I found him.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
So who rescued Who? Did you rescue your dog? Or
did your dog rescue you?

Speaker 5 (05:33):
I think we rescued each other. And he's very spoilt.
I make his dog food. I take him out about
twelve somethings a day, and we walked together and He's
just a joy of my life.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
Well, let me let me find a song for you
and your doggy. God bless you.

Speaker 5 (05:53):
And God bless you, and I enjoy your show every night.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
Thank you. You have a good night, Violet. Hi, Danielle,
what can I do for you?

Speaker 3 (06:08):
Yes?

Speaker 6 (06:08):
Hi, how are you? I'm calling because I am an
investigator currently I am in Dallas, Texas. I live in
New York, and I wanted to dedicate a song to
my mother and my dog.

Speaker 2 (06:21):
So, Danielle, you are far away from mom and your dog.
What kind of dog?

Speaker 6 (06:25):
A Pomeranian? His name is Chachi.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
So he's a small dog who's probably got a huge personality.

Speaker 6 (06:33):
It's extremely huge.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
And is Mom taking care of Chachi while you're away
or is Chocchi in one of those swanky dog inns.

Speaker 6 (06:44):
No, Mom's taking care of my baby until I return
next week.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
And what song will make you feel closer to Mom
and Chachi?

Speaker 6 (06:52):
Well, I wanted to play her favorite song, which is
I Hope You Dance.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
I love that song. Tell me about your mama.

Speaker 6 (07:00):
Well, I have a beautiful mother who's raised two kids,
both my brother and myself, and she deserves everything that
I could possibly give her. Which I'll give her anything
that she asked for. I couldn't thank God for blessing
me with such a more of an incredible human being.
So I'm going to give her everything that I possibly can.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
What a wonderful daughter you are? Were you this way
at fifteen? Were you this kind at fifteen? Or did
you go through that? My mom is so stupid. She
doesn't understand me. She doesn't know anything phase never never.

Speaker 6 (07:34):
I guess when you're young, I guess you could say
you know it all. But I was just raised by
a beautiful woman.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Well, let me play a song for your mama, and
you're Chachi, and thank you for listening across the miles.

Speaker 6 (07:48):
Thank you so much. You have a beautiful one.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
Thank you bybye. I so hope you have enjoyed these
radio moments as much as I enjoy bringing them to you.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
