Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hey, it's Delilah. Thank you for stopping by. I have
put together some of my favorite radio moments here to
share with you on our daily podcast. Hey it's Delilah.
You know, if you want to make the days in

(00:22):
your life really matter, if you want to make the
time that you have here on earth, whether it's ten years,
thirty years, fifty years, or one hundred years, if you
want to make that time matter, then you must love something.

(00:43):
You must love something more than you love yourself. That
begins with the notion that you love yourself, that you're
not putting yourself down, saying negative things, destroying yourself. It
begins with recognizing how pious and valuable you are and
loving yourself, and then loving something someone so much that

(01:10):
your heartaches so much that you can't breathe. You love
that thing, that person, that child, that relationship, that dream,
that project so much that nothing will stop you from
being your very best. If you want to make your

(01:33):
life matter, then love immensely, because that's all that matters.
Hi Lynn, Welcome to the Delilah Show. Who's on your
heart tonight? A little guy named Caleb. He's almost eight
years old. He's the youngest in the family, got a
big thirteen year old brother and ten year old sister,

(01:55):
and he's just a neat, neat kitty. He's grown up
with a bit of an artist to being the youngest
of the three. Real sensitive kid, but he also is
kind of a tough guy too, and just the neatest
little grand kid in the world. I'm very blessed with
a group of grandchildren. You know, you talk a lot
about relationships, and when I'm working here at night, very

(02:18):
often I have I listened to the radio, and I
know that's an important thing to you. With your children. Well,
you love your kids, but you're in love with your grandkids.
There's just something about him. You know that now. See,
I'm in love with my kids, and that's a wonderful
way to be. We should always be that way. That's
that's for sure. Life was pretty stressful when I had

(02:40):
my kids, and I didn't remember this kind of joy
in them, unfortunately. But this little guy is quite the
Delila fan. He's almost eight and he has used the
Delilah Show to put himself to bed. He has this
little radio by his bed, and the guy I'll never moves,
he always has that same station on because that's that's

(03:05):
how he relaxes, and he just calls him bad and
Delilah's voice and the music is just so soothing for him.
So I thought the other night I was listening to
the show, and I thought, you know, I think Delilah
needs to know that there's a little guy out there
that listens to her show. And I just love to

(03:25):
dedicate something one of the songs, and I'll let you
pick him. That would just kind of make him feel special.
But it's a joy having this little guy around here. Well,
I will play a song for one of my little
fans and give him hugs and kisses. Grandma, I'll do that.
I'll do that. Thanks Delilah, you have a great joy
your show. It's great. Thank you, sweetie. Hi Leo, what

(03:54):
can I do for you? Thelilah just wanted to make
our dedication for wife and my oldest son, Leonardo. What's
your wife's name, Sarah, and what do you want to
tell them? Nine years ago I met my wife and
I was a single father at the time with Leonardo.

(04:14):
I didn't have a clue what to do, and she
kind of like helping through everything, helping raise him, you know,
And she's pretty much been the mother figure in his
life and I'm so thankful for that, and I just
want to let her know that I love her and
up to now we be married for three years. She
just gave me a wonderful kid. Another we had baby

(04:37):
nine months ago appint and now because of financial situation,
we were not able to go on a honeymoon. And
thanks to some of the people that know us, I
just want to let her know that we're going to
be spending five days in Italy. Wow, i'd say you
have some pretty special friends. Yeah. Also, Delilah, I hear
you show all the time. And Tom was really important

(04:59):
to do this because I'm not I'm not good with words.
I just wanted to let her know that she's very
special to me and my son all over with all
my heart and also my oldest son. I love him
and I'm very proud of him. He's aside from all
the adversity that came in his life, she's a wonderful kid,

(05:20):
not only in school but also at home. And I
want to let him know that I'm very, so very
proud of him. So you're just like, you're just full
of love for your family. Here, Leo, You're a great
big sappy love song SAP. Those both plays that love.
Trust me, Chrissy, You've called Delilah. What can I do

(05:51):
for you? I said, I'd share my story with you.
I've got a sweetheart in my life that I've had
in my life since I was twelve. I'm at him.
On my twelfth birthday. When I first saw him, I said, Oh,
my gosh, girlfriend, there goes my future husband. And mom, behold,
I guess I was right. And what's his name? His

(06:14):
name is Noah. And you knew that Noah was the
one right away. It was kind of silly, but yeah,
I guess I did. And you know, we've been able
to stay super close. He's been my best friend and
my love since then, and we've gone through a lot
and had an amazing journey together. But yet we're still

(06:35):
just super super sweethearts. And anybody who knows us can
say that about us, that we're just just like kids
in love. How many years, gosh, you know, since I
was twelve. I'm thirty one. Now. Your whole life, my
whole life, it seems yep. You've blessed less and we're
blessed with two children as well, and just have had
an amazing life together, and he's so incredibly romantic, and

(06:58):
every day we just we give thanks for our love.
We listen to your show and as we put our
children to sleep at night and listen to the stories,
and we just smile at each other and just we're
just so grateful for our love. And we dance to
your songs and we sing our songs to each other.
And so I thought i'd, you know, share my story

(07:22):
and you know, celebrate with my love. I Alicia, good evening,
What can I do for you? Play a song to
represent all the blessings that I've received thus far. I'm
going to be celebrating my fortieth in a couple of weeks,
and just looking back at my life, I've just had

(07:46):
an abundance of blessings. I have an amazing husband, I've
got three phenomenal children, and I just am overwhelmed with joy.
I mean, it doesn't mean I don't have, you know,
pain and hardships, But just when I think I met
my lowest or I'm going down the dark road, I'm
giving a blessing. And I wanted to call and request

(08:06):
the song because you're always playing just amazing music at
the right time. It it makes me feel good, makes
everything just feel worth it. All right, tell me about
your family, Tell me about your children. We have three girls,
six year old, two and a half, one and a half.
Oh my hand, yeah, my hands are full, but they're

(08:27):
just amazing. And then there's my husband. It just seems
truly the love of my life. He is We're like
a hand in glove. He's just he's there. He is
my husband, but he's my best friend, my communicator. You know.
We compliment each other and we're going on seven years
of marriage and I'm in love. And what's his name?

(08:50):
My husband's name is Kevin. And the girls so they
can hear mama bragging about him on the radio. Our
oldest is Indigo, and our middle child is Norah, and
the baby is Alison. Okay, I'm going to play a
sweet song for the loves of your life and you
can have a nice slow dance with your hubby in

(09:11):
the living room. Oh that would be great. Thank you,
Thank you, God, bless you. I so hope you have
enjoyed these radio moments as much as I enjoy bringing
them to you. I'll share more with you each weekday
