Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hey, it's Delilah. Thank you for stopping by. I have
put together some of my favorite radio moments here to
share with you on our daily podcast in Love. Hey,
it's Delilah. Every night I talk to people from all
walks of life in all sorts of different situations, and

(00:26):
today we are going to mash some of those phone
calls up and serve them back to you on Hey
it's Delilah. Hi, good evening. You've called the Delilah Show.
Who is this?

Speaker 2 (00:39):
This is Diana.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
Hi Diana. What can I do for you tonight?

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Well, I would like to play a song.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
For my fiance when you're getting married.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
We are getting married July twenty seventh.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
This July.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
Yes, we met last July and we fell in love
and it's it's just a whirlwind, but it's amazing.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
All right, good guy, honest guy, integrity, works hard, trustworthy.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
All of those and so much more. We're both came
out of terrible divorces about six and eight years ago
and we have found out forever people finally.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
So you've had time to heal, time to process, time
to realize you don't want a rebound relationship, and now
you've found the person you were meant to be with.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
Yep, we had to go through the wrong people to
get to the right people.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
Well, there's probably a lot of reasons that you went
through the wrong people. But did those relationships make you stronger,
more faithful, more compassionate, all those good things? Definitely, then
you were meant to be there too.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
Yeah, I agree.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
What's his name? His name is down And tell me
three things wonderful about the man you are pledging the
rest of your life too.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
He is funny, he loves the Lord, which is number one.
And he has the most amazing blue eyes.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
So I'm picturing somebody with a huge smile on his
face that's smiling all the time, eyes crinkling at the
corners with laughter and merriment, and eyes the color of
the sky, who knows to pray for his wife and
those that he loved when times are tough.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
Yes, that is him.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
I think I got a good mental picture. What song
can I play for you?

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Well, he proposed during the eclipse, and so if you
play totally eclips of the Heart.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
He proposed during the eclipse, like just forty days ago proposed. Yes,
I guess it's not even been that long. Wow, And
You've been able to pull a wedding together this fast.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
We're doing it.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Have a beautiful wedding and a wonderful life. Thank you
for calling. Thank you, good evening. Welcome to the Delilah Show.
Who is this?

Speaker 3 (03:11):
Oh my god, Hi Delilah. My name is Leslie. How
are you?

Speaker 1 (03:15):
Hi, Leslie? I'm good? How are you?

Speaker 3 (03:17):
I am so good. I have listened to you from
here from Dominica, Republic since I was sixteen, and I
just wanted to, I guess, talk to you and thank you.
I think I could speak from a lot of other
single girls kind of lost and just meeting a ground
to stand on.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
So what do you do here?

Speaker 3 (03:40):
We now own a spa? Or we do we're going
to be doing facials now we do what I was
on hold that I was gonna get through to you,
and I just wanted to. I guess who was dedication?
To you and to other people, other girls who are
starting something new for the first time and are afraid,

(04:02):
and we all listen to you. We have we play
your facing literally all day while I'm waxing clients to
kind of it literally grounds us and my clients too.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
One day off the air, maybe I will tell you
my horrific self waxing story. Okay, oh it was not good.
It was not pretty, it was not a good idea.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
Oh no, it wasn't neat at all.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
Yeah. Let me tell any any woman who's thinking, oh
I can do this, I can do it in the microwave, don't.
Don't do it. Do not attempt that. It's like, there
are some things you need to go to a professional for.
Tattoos is one of them. You can change your own
oil if you know how, in a car, but waxing, don't.

(04:54):
Don't even don't even think about it.

Speaker 4 (04:57):
Yep.

Speaker 3 (04:57):
Even myself five years experience, I don't do myself keep
so definitely listen to Delilah.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
All right, you ladies, have a great night. Thank you
for calling. Thank you, bye bye, love you too, bye bye.
Hi Gena, I thank you for calling. What can I

(05:28):
do for you?

Speaker 4 (05:30):
Yes, ma'am, I love you. I listen to you every night.
I'm actually here with my mom. We just came back
from the hospital. We go there every day. My dad,
he's been there. It's been a long road and we
are we're out.

Speaker 1 (05:52):
How long has dad been hospitalized?

Speaker 4 (05:55):
Two months?

Speaker 1 (05:56):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (05:56):
My word, yes, name and he's been on a vinner
later for almost a month. But he's off.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
Wow, And you guys go every day, rain or shine,
to love on him, to pray for him, to hold
his hand. Is he awake? Does he know you're there?

Speaker 4 (06:14):
Yes, ma'am. Every day. There's not a day that we
don't go. In the beginning, he didn't know who we were,
but now he knows who we are. He talks to us,
he tells us, he loves us. The worst feeling in
the world is when your dad and your husband look

(06:35):
at you and don't even know who you are.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
So now he recognizes you, he knows who you are.
He's happy you're.

Speaker 4 (06:43):
There, yes, ma'am.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
And are the doctors giving in the indication when he
might be able to come home or go to a
rehab facility two.

Speaker 4 (06:55):
To three weeks and then after that he's going to
be going to a another rehab center. He can't walk
or anything right now, but they've been working with him.

Speaker 1 (07:07):
So is he out of ICU? Yes, ma'am, thank you
God for that. And what song can I play for
your heart.

Speaker 4 (07:15):
Any in mind? Is I'm I'm kind of shaky right now.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
That's okay. I'm going to find a song for you
and your mama to give you hope and to give
you comfort.

Speaker 4 (07:26):
Okay, thank you so much and we love you.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
God bless you. I hope you call me back with
really good news soon. Yes, ma'am, Hi, you've called the
Delilah Shell. Who is this? Hi?

Speaker 5 (07:45):
This is Michelle.

Speaker 1 (07:46):
Michelle, what can I do to make your Spring night
a little Spring year?

Speaker 5 (07:51):
I have met well, the love of my life, believe
it or not, on social media on TikTok, and we've
been together about a year and a half and it's
long distance, and we are making this work. We know
that we want to be together. We've both had a
failed marriage in the past, and things are just better

(08:12):
when I'm with him, and I've waited a long time
to find somebody like him, and I know, I know
that things are going down a really good path. We
just kind of make the time that we're together really special.
And we are together because you know, we're not together
all the time yet, but that they is coming, so
we just make the most of it. When I guess

(08:35):
when you're our age, He's still be fifty five on
Sunday and I'm going to be fifty two in November,
and I guess when you get to this point in
your life, you're really you know what you want and
if your patients, you'll find it, and we both have
and I just I get such a big lump in
my throat when I talk about him, want to think

(08:56):
about him, because he's he's so incredible.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
So my husband and I have been together since two
thousand and six, and in two thousand and ten he
moved out of state and took a job a position
that was on his heart and that he had been
wanting to do and committed to. And we got married

(09:22):
in twenty twelve. But we've never lived together except during COVID.
We have lived in different states, and we make it
work because we love each other.

Speaker 5 (09:35):
You know, when two hearts are just meant to be together,
it's so cliche, But when they're meant to be together,
it's gonna work.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
I will find a song to celebrate the love that
you've found and the joy you have found in one another.

Speaker 5 (09:51):
Thank you so much. I love listening to you your
under five, the listening to you.

Speaker 1 (09:56):
Thanks honey, bye bye. I so hope you have enjoyed
these radio moments as much as I enjoy bringing them
to you I'll share more with you each weekday on Hey,
it's Delilah do
