Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hey, it's Delilah. Thank you for stopping by. I have
put together some of my favorite radio moments here to
share with you on our daily podcast. Do are you
someone who has a hard time showing your affections demonstrating

(00:25):
your love? Do not be afraid of showing your love
your affection. Be warm and tender, be thoughtful and kind,
use sweet words of affirmation. Let people know how you

(00:45):
feel for them, tell them, show them. If you can't
speak the words, if you get tongue tied, then write
them out. But let people know how you feel. None
of us are promised a tomorrow. So today, while you
have this glorious day, shower the people you love with love.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Hello Deliah, it's such an honor to.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
Talk to you.

Speaker 4 (01:14):
Thank you, Laura. What can I do for you tonight?

Speaker 2 (01:17):
Well, I have a special man in my life and
I would like to know if you would play a
song for him.

Speaker 4 (01:22):
What's his name?

Speaker 2 (01:23):
His name is Bill?

Speaker 4 (01:24):
Bill boyfriend, Bill fiance Bill husband? What's Bill to you?

Speaker 2 (01:28):
He's just a very special friend. I went through a
divorce a year and a half ago, really had no
desire to go out with anybody or meet anybody. And
you know how God has a way of working things,
and here he came. He's just been such a good
person and he's truly a gentleman, you know, the kind
of opens the doors and hold your chair and we
just walk and we hold hands and we talk and

(01:49):
God is just wonderful. And I came out of a
very abusive marriage, so both verbally, physically and emotionally, and
so it's just very different. And he's very special and
like to see if you'd play a song to let
him know that.

Speaker 4 (02:02):
So if you're walking and talking and holding hands, that
means he's probably in the boyfriend category.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Well, he said, so I'm just a little reluctant, you know.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
Okay, but do you walk and talk and hold hands
with people that aren't your significant other?

Speaker 5 (02:19):
Well?

Speaker 4 (02:20):
No, okay, So what's the fear of saying, yeah, he's
my honey.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
I don't know. Delilah's just you know, I don't know
if it's the L word I have trouble with.

Speaker 4 (02:36):
Welcome to the Delilah Show, Denise. What can I do
for you?

Speaker 6 (02:40):
I'm just calling because I have a request to play
a song for somebody who has been in my life
for the longest time and has been my best friend,
and he recently, literally five minutes ago, text me and said,
I love.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
You, and it's about broke.

Speaker 6 (03:02):
My heart and I want him to know that I
do love him back, and I want to play a
song for him to let him know.

Speaker 4 (03:08):
So when he said I love you, was he saying
that as a best friend, I love you, or was
he saying, by the way, I want to kiss your face,
I love you.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
I think if I want to kiss your face.

Speaker 7 (03:18):
I love you.

Speaker 4 (03:19):
What's his name, Denise, name's Kyle. How long have you
and Kyle been bestie's about four years? And honestly, how
long have you wanted to kiss his face?

Speaker 3 (03:31):
I haven't, Actually.

Speaker 4 (03:33):
You haven't thought that way?

Speaker 3 (03:36):
No, No, I haven't.

Speaker 4 (03:37):
He's been in the friend zone all this time.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
He has. He's always been there and said, you know, hey,
I'm here for you. You know I got your back,
you know you're you're my girl. I got you, and
then text me and said, hey, I love you, And
I have no idea what to say back except I
love you too, because I do.

Speaker 4 (03:59):
So this is a friendship that's caught fire.

Speaker 6 (04:02):
It's crazy thinking about this person in that way.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
But you know, I said I love you back. And
I think he fell asleep, so we'll see what happens
in the morning.

Speaker 4 (04:16):
So he could he confessed the craziest thing in the world,
and now he's not answering.

Speaker 7 (04:25):
I got it.

Speaker 4 (04:26):
Oh my word, all right, I will play a song
for you.

Speaker 7 (04:30):
Good luck, Thank you, Delilah.

Speaker 4 (04:42):
Hi is this Celia? Yes, Hi welcome, This is Delilah.
How can I help you?

Speaker 6 (04:47):
Hi?

Speaker 8 (04:47):
I was wonting if you could fign me a song
to play for my boyfriend Brandon.

Speaker 4 (04:51):
What do you want to tell Brandon?

Speaker 8 (04:54):
It's kind of hard to me to like explain like
how I feel all the time. He's really like emotional.
He tells me how he feels all the time. And
I feel bad because I never say things back to him,
you know. And I just want them to let him
know that I do care and I do want to
be with him. It's not that so.

Speaker 4 (05:09):
You're not effusive with words. You're kind of tongue tied
when it comes to emotions. Yeah, and Brandon is the
poetic one who goes on and on and on about
how much he adores you. Yeah, and then does he
feel like you don't care because you just sit there
and don't say anything.

Speaker 8 (05:26):
I think so.

Speaker 4 (05:27):
Yeah, I would guess so. I mean as somebody who
is extremely effusive myself and loves to write poems and
songs and long windy letters. And it's nice to get
feedback to hear. I love you too more than life.
You're wonderful. I want to spend forever with you. Anything,
just give me some feedback. Yeah, So why are you

(05:50):
so shy about it?

Speaker 8 (05:51):
I don't know, I just aim I don't know. I
guess I'm afraid afraid of what, afraid of really liking him?
Maybe I don't know why.

Speaker 4 (06:01):
Obviously you got through on the phone line tonight, which
tells me you obviously like him because you put a
lot of effort into hitting redial.

Speaker 8 (06:09):
I know it took forever.

Speaker 4 (06:12):
Is there somebody else you would rather be with?

Speaker 8 (06:15):
No?

Speaker 4 (06:15):
Would you rather be alone?

Speaker 8 (06:17):
No?

Speaker 4 (06:17):
Okay, so this is the one you want to be with? Yeah,
this is the one that's captured your heart and you
just can't say it. Yeah, okay, you work on that,
would you? And I'll find a song for you?

Speaker 9 (06:30):
Thank you, Angela High, How are you fine? Welcome aboard?

Speaker 4 (06:40):
This is Delilah. What can I do for you?

Speaker 5 (06:42):
I was gonna request this song for my best friend.
We recently met and he's just meant everything to me,
and I wanted him to know that I really do
like him more than a friend. But it's really hard
for me to tell him that because I'm afraid I'm
gonna lose everything, lose our friendship. You know. It scares
me to tell him that. I'm gonna have to find
someone to tell him. And I hope by this song,

(07:04):
if he's listening, he'll know.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
Now what's his name? His name is Wes And what
song do you think will speak to his heart and
say all the words that you just can't seem to
get out of your lips.

Speaker 5 (07:13):
I don't know, hmm.

Speaker 4 (07:15):
So we want one that says you're my best friend,
but I think you're pretty darned cute on top of that.

Speaker 5 (07:21):
Yeah, and he's just an awesome person. He makes me laugh.
And today I kind of hinted it around, you know,
trying to tell him that I really the way I
really feel about him, that I just can't see myself
doing that.

Speaker 4 (07:32):
And now, has he ever given you any indication that he's,
you know, kind of attracted romantically?

Speaker 5 (07:37):
Kind of the same hints, I hope.

Speaker 4 (07:39):
I mean, I both of you are kind of beaten
around the bushy thing. Yeah, either that or you're afraid
he doesn't really feel that way. And if you say anything,
then you'll look foolish.

Speaker 5 (07:48):
And I'm just afraid that I'd lose our friendship. It's
so great, Okay.

Speaker 4 (07:51):
Let me see what Mother Delilah can do to help
things out, just sort of further things along. And if
he says, well, you know, I like you a lot
as a friend, but let's not go there, you can say, hey,
it was D's idea. You know, Delilah is the one
who picked that romantic, sappy song good luck. Let me
play something for you, Bye bye bye.

Speaker 1 (08:13):
I so hope you have enjoyed these radio moments.

Speaker 4 (08:16):
As much as I enjoy bringing them to you. I'll
share more with you

Speaker 1 (08:19):
