Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hey, it's Delilah. Thank you for stopping by. I have
put together some of my favorite radio moments here to
share with you on our daily podcast. Welcome, my friend.
I don't know if you are on social media. I've
(00:24):
been on Facebook for like, I don't know, thirteen years now,
and I've been on Instagram, but I've been hesitant to
venture into TikTok, mainly because I tell my kids they
can't go on TikTok. And now guess who's spending hours
on TikTok. I've been editing videos, making videos, making posts,
(00:50):
trying to answer all your comments, and I've been having
so much fun and I am connecting with really awesome people.
And I have had so many people say kind things
that have just touched my heart in a powerful, powerful way. Hello,
(01:10):
good evening, Welcome to the Delilah Show. Who is on
the phone line with me tonight?
Speaker 2 (01:16):
kJ?
Speaker 3 (01:17):
Hi?
Speaker 1 (01:18):
kJ? What can I do for you?
Speaker 2 (01:20):
Gosh, I didn't know this is going to work. This
is so cool. I know you're probably seeing all this
stuff on TikTok where everybody's like squalling. That was born
in the nineties.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
I've never been so blessed and overwhelmed by so much love.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
Yeah, I could just cry even now. Fucking it's crazy,
it's crazy. I'm definitely a nineties baby. I don't have
anything to say other than the fact that this is
the coolest thing in the world that I feel like.
You're just like, I don't know, came out of nowhere again,
all of us forgot all of us forgot about it.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
I guess I'm glad you're back.
Speaker 2 (01:57):
Yeah, I'm actually in my hometown again. Finally, I really
did take off. I've seen almost all fifty states and
now settling down and starting school. So it's kind of fun.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
So you went on a long road, an extended road trip.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
Yeah, I joined the military.
Speaker 1 (02:12):
Oh that's an extended road trip. All right? Oh yeah,
did you get to go overseas? Were you mostly here?
Speaker 4 (02:19):
No?
Speaker 2 (02:20):
I was in the Coastguards. So I started in Alabama,
which is where I'm from, and then took off and
they sent me all the way to Alaska, and then
from there it's just been trickling through the states. So
it's been it's been a blast. Something about your twenties
or crazy. You just go and you figure it all
out and hopefully land in a good spot.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
Well, thank you, for coming home, my darling. You have
a great night.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
Yes, ma'am, well, thank you so much. It was very
nice talking to you.
Speaker 1 (02:51):
Hi, thank you for calling that Delilah show.
Speaker 3 (02:53):
Who is this my Namy's Peyton Aldo. I'm from Brazio.
I'm sorry to tell you about in English. I don't
speak English very well.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
So you're from Brazil. Welcome aboard. What can I do
for you?
Speaker 3 (03:07):
I just want to give you a word of appreciation
because you do the most important thing in the world
is the building love and people connections. And I do
like to have the same radio show in my country.
It's under a very bad situation right now. No democracy,
(03:28):
people dying.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
It's crazy everybody around the world. We need more love, respect,
we need kindness, we need mercy.
Speaker 3 (03:39):
Yes, that's why you need to multiply Delilahs around the world.
We need many more radios like your show, like your
show and everywhere, ah more Delilahs.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
Well, I have a daughter named Delilah. I just have
to train her to take over.
Speaker 3 (03:58):
You're wonderful and just go to to give appreciation for
you and Enkorra and say that we need more people
like you doing the what do you do?
Speaker 1 (04:10):

Hi Elizabeth, you sound very chipper. Welcome. What can I
do for you?
Speaker 2 (04:38):
So?
Speaker 5 (04:38):
I'm sitting here with my boyfriend Joe, and we've been
listening to Delilah all day long like we usually do,
and we wanted to see if you play us a song.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
I will do that. Hi, Joe.
Speaker 5 (04:48):
He's believe me that we would get on here, but
here we are.
Speaker 1 (04:53):
He was the naysayer, Huh, we'll never get through.
Speaker 5 (04:57):
Yeah, I'm so excited.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
I'm so excited. Welcome. What can I do for you too?
What would you like to hear?
Speaker 5 (05:05):
Whatever you want? We've been only dating for about three
or four months, but we really like each other.
Speaker 1 (05:11):
And does he have the qualities that you would want
and somebody you know for more than a few months?
Speaker 5 (05:17):
Oh yeah, why do you think I'm here?
Speaker 1 (05:21):
Obviously he's grinning and he's still listening to my sappy
love songs with you, So that's a good sign.
Speaker 5 (05:28):
Yeah, you want to know what else he did for
Valentine's Day? He bought your book and gave it to
me and now he reads it at night.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
I hope it inspires you, and I hope when you
finish with it you give it away.
Speaker 5 (05:40):
Oh gas, we'll do that all right.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
I'm going to find a sweet love song for you too,
and I expect to call back in the future saying
that you know, things are great and something sparkly is
on my left hand. Not that I'm trying to put
any pressure on you, you know, because I wouldn't do that.
Speaker 6 (06:00):
Welcome, have a good night, bye bye.
Speaker 1 (06:11):
Hi, good evening. You've called the Delilah Show. Who is this?
Speaker 4 (06:15):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (06:15):
This is d Hi Hi d Why are you so excited?
Speaker 4 (06:21):
Because I have a kid you got? Me and my
mom both have been trying to get through to you
for a.
Speaker 1 (06:25):
Week and you and mom listened together most.
Speaker 4 (06:30):
Of the time. Yeah, she used to listen to you
when she was really young, and you were one of
the voices I heard when I was like three or
four years old all the time.
Speaker 1 (06:38):
And did you just rediscover me on TikTok or on Instagram?
I did, Yeah, And that's why you're so excited. You're like,
oh my gosh, she never left us.
Speaker 4 (06:50):
We left her exactly. I was like, oh my God,
where did 'lila go? But she's been here the whole time.
Speaker 1 (06:56):
I've been here all along. I'm so excited, drumming my
fingers in the studio saying where are all the kids
I helped to raise?
Speaker 4 (07:05):
I'm one of them, that's for sure.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
While you were going to rally camp, or to basketball
practice or to quiere tryouts, I was there in the
car with you and mama.
Speaker 4 (07:16):
You are one hundred percent.
Speaker 1 (07:18):

with you.

listen to my radio show too?
Speaker 7 (08:47):
He tries to turn my radio off in the house
and I tell him, don't touch it. I need that
radio station that keeps me going every day of my life.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
And he probably wants to listen to something a little cooler,
a little younger, a little more you know, happening, and
Mama's like, don't touch my radio.
