the two coaches that got fired. We got Jenkins and

was opposed Apparently he was supposed to be the guy

but that the identity that they they have now they

defensive team, you know, always in the top five. As
far as defensive ratings to you know, shooting up to
double digits, I think they're at twelve, I want to say.
Now as far as defensive ratings like twelve, I want
to say, still decent team, middle of the pack almost yeah,

but they don't have that wing they tried. They started
off with Marcus Smart or what they had Dylan Brooks
traded him off. He was the scapegoat and they tried
the smartest smart. It just didn't work. And you know
they are where they are now, right, So, uh, you
got you got Taylor Jenkins who's fired not too long ago.
Now you got Michael Malone, isn't flashy, not a flashy

guy at all, built a drama free team, no issues
at all, none, and he gets fired. Right. My question
though that I want to ask what kind of coach
wins in the NBA today? Are we talking about a
culture builder like Malone who keeps, you know, the same

tone you know when whether they're winning or losing, or
a young coach like Jenkins who you know, sometimes he
gets swallowed in the storm. Like, what kind of coach
wins in the NBA to day, I.

Think a coach, a coach that has a great relationship
in partnership with their GM, then GM. Yes, the GM
plays a major role when it comes to They're the
ones that are putting the team together, you know what
I mean. And the coach basically has to work with
the ingredients that the GM provided him to make this
ultimate meal.

So on the Memphis side, first off, you get rid
of five of coach Jenkson, Coach Jenkins assistant coaches. Five
of them are gone, five new ones are in. All right,

feel me. And then I just felt like, you guys
are just well, the media, we're just really harping on
jazz you know issues, but it's not even how could
it be an offward issue if you never really got
charged with having like for a bust and a gun

You're coming to the game on the sideline and you

the actual game of basketball or the other things? And
that's what I think a lot of people have issues
with with him.

That's I mean, that has nothing to do with what
he brings on the basketball court.

But clearly what he's doing, what he's bringing, is more
of a distraction. They did, they lost. They lost to
look just look at their record now, like they're they're
fighting for their lives in the playing They are a
playing team.

And that was because the injuries and all that compiled
with the antics of jos so be it. But I
think the record is the way it is because one
they lost a bunch of coaches on their coaching staff.
Two they kind of changed the whole scheme of how
they're gonna approach offensively and maybe defensively. And and three okay,

they got rid of they got rid of coach Jenkins,
who was my preseason Coach of the Year. If everything
would have remained, not knowing that they got rid of
the coaches, the coaching staff. But the last eight games,
you know what I mean, John has been averaging even
though they won three and five, that twenty eight point
four points to game man four point three rebounds, six

point three assists, and forty eight from the field and
basically thirty eight from three. His three point shooting has
gone up since the fire, since since his coach being
let go, you know what I mean. I'm not saying
it has to do anything with the coach, but now
the balls in his hands a lot more, you know
what I mean, And that's how it should have been

from the jump. I'm not saying, you know, the coaching
staff they came up with a strategy because he's not
around that much. Cool, but when he is around, put
the ball in his hand and let him lead. That's
all I'm saying, you know what I mean. And then
on the can he lead though, that's the question we
don't know.

Is he a good Is he a good leader? They
went from the number two seed. Now they're playing team right,
so he is he a lead? Or do they need
that that that coaching or do they need that Dylan
Brooks guy who is a glue guy. Do they like that?
That's the thing. No one's ever denying his talent and
what he can do offensively, But we're talking about loose balls,

he make those type of players that win games? Because,

To most fans, Dylan Brooks is a villain. He's the

gets under your skin, plays with a chip on his shoulder.

All of those things that he has is what Memphis
stands by the grindhouse, right, and they let him go.
And when they let him go, I'm talking about defensive ratings.
Let's talk about defensive ratings with Memphis. Memphis defensive rating
right now is one hundred and twelve point eight to

I believe the record is right now and they are
fighting for their lives in the play the plane right

is at one hundred and ten. They are fourth in

He was always you know, he wasn't healthy ever, and
it just didn't work. That got rid of him. So

Now as far as defensive ratings like twelve, I want
to say, still decent team, middle of the pack almost yeah,

but they don't have that wing they tried. They started
off with Marcus Smart or what they had Dylan Brooks
traded him off. He was the scapegoat and they tried
the smartest smart. It just didn't work. And you know
they are where they are now, right, So, uh, you
got you got Taylor Jenkins who's fired not too long ago.
Now you got Michael Malone, isn't flashy, not a flashy

guy at all, built a drama free team, no issues
at all, none, and he gets fired. Right. My question
though that I want to ask what kind of coach
wins in the NBA today? Are we talking about a

a young coach like Jenkins who you know, sometimes he
gets swallowed in the storm. Like, what kind of coach
wins in the NBA to day, I.

Think a coach, a coach that has a great relationship
in partnership with their GM, then GM. Yes, the GM
plays a major role when it comes to They're the
ones that are putting the team together, you know what
I mean. And the coach basically has to work with
the ingredients that the GM provided him to make this
ultimate meal.

So on the Memphis side, first off, you get rid
of five of coach Jenkson, Coach Jenkins assistant coaches. Five
of them are gone, five new ones are in. All right,

You take the ball out maybe because John Morant was
away for a bit.

it's not like they've been consistent with their team like
in case, he's been consistent with their team. Guys play
basketball all the time. So Houston as well, like the
guys are always in there. So I get that part.

But at the same time, like you get rid of Jenkins'
coaching staff that he probably handpicked, you know what I mean,
you give him something totally different. Boom, Now you gotta
deal with all right. Now you're taking the ball out
of Jaw's hands the majority of the time. So that's
some adjusting that Jah got to get used to, you

feel me. And then I just felt like, you guys
are just well, the media, we're just really harping on
jazz you know issues, but it's not even how could
it be an offward issue if you never really got
charged with having like for a bust and a gun
or anything along those lines of homicide.
