Speaker 1 (00:01):
Morning Run with Amy and TJ and iHeartRadio Podcast. Good morning, everyone,
and welcome to Morning Run. It's Monday, September twenty ninth.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
I'm Amy Robot and I'm TJ Holmes, and we have
been blasting Dolly, Pardon Bad Bunny, Selena Gomez and Benny
Blanco all morning because all of those folks robes are
in the news in a major way, but in different ways,
and I mean our hearts. We're thinking about Dolly right now.
Speaker 1 (00:29):
We are thinking about Dolly. She's sidelined for a bit,
but she will be back, she promises. And Bad Bunny
has some amazing news, and Selena and Benny have some
congratulatory news.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
Yes, we will get into all of that this morning. Also,
Leo number one, Leonardo DiCaprio. Look, he's done some great films,
have gotten great critical reviews, but not necessarily have been blockbusters.
But he is number one at the box office this weekend.
We'll tell you whether that means moving forward. Also, the
best aime of the year in the NFL. We're only
(01:01):
on week what five or six?
Speaker 1 (01:03):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:03):
Is that right? Okay? But the best game of the
year and nobody won it. Okay, some history made last
night that everybody's talking about. Yes, the game of the year,
nobody won. Also roads, we hear these stories every once
in a while, really concerning when people try to stow away.
This never works. This is a disturbing story we're getting
out of What was it North.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
Carolina, Charlotte. Yes, it was a plane coming in from Europe.
But yes, you can stow away on a train, You
can stow away in a vehicle, but you cannot safely
stow away in an airplane at thirty five thousand feet.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
A disturbing, disturbing story out of there. We'll get into
all of those things this morning. Also, reminder, just hit
that button top right corner says follow on the Apple
podcast app where you see our show page. Hit that
and you can get our updates coming to you all
the time. Also on the run this morning, we had
two deadly mass shootings over the weekend, both involving members
former members of the military. Also the mayor drops out
(01:57):
of the mayors raised in New York. Also back to
back meeting for Trump today, cut into war and avoid
a government shut down. Also Jimmy Kimmel, Well he was
back last week. Now he's fully back. We'll explain. Also,
they won't make landfall in the US, but two Atlantic
storms will be a problem for US. And another city
is getting National Guard troops robes. My favorite story of
(02:18):
the morning, unfortunately, has to do with someone who passed away.
We lost a member of the Tuskegee Airman but his
story and his name is one I want everybody to
take time and learn about this guy today.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
George Hardy cannot wait to share his legacy with everyone.
But we begin our run in Michigan this morning, where
police say a former marine open fire at a Mormon
church and then set it on fire, killing at least
four people and wounding eight others. Officials say the gunman
drove his vehicle into the church where hundreds were attending
(02:50):
service on Sunday morning, then he used an assault rifle
to fire multiple rounds of parishioners.
Speaker 2 (02:56):
It's been identified now as forty year old Thomas Jacob
sand They set the church on fire before ultimately getting
into a shootout with police, where he was ultimately killed.
Two victims died from gunshot wounds. Two others were found dead.
Several others remained unaccounted for, but officials could not say
how many saying the church was being cleared Sunday night
(03:16):
after being destroyed by the fire. This was a and
the scene. If you see the scene, it's as from
warehouse fire. It looks like a huge fire. And to
think that there was a tragedy before that tragedy.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
Yeah, and they're not even sure how he pulled it off.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
They found some incendiary devices that they don't know whether
or not they went off, but there was gasoline and
accelerant used in this. But this was very well planned out.
More than one hundred FBI agents have been deployed to
the scene to investigate how this happened, why this happened,
And there was strong condemnation from President Trump, ag Bondi,
(03:47):
the governor Whitmore, and of course the most prominent I
would say political Mormon that we know is Mitt Romney.
But all of them were just disgusted by what happened.
Next up on the run, we have to head to
North Carolina, where authority say another former marine opened fire
on a crowd of people who were enjoying their Saturday
night at a packed waterfront bar. He killed three people,
(04:10):
injured five others, one of whom is described as clinging
to life this attack.
Speaker 2 (04:15):
Quite frankly, we're not really heard of something quite like
this here in the US. The shooter, who the police
have now identified as forty year old Nigel Max Edge,
used an assault rifle to fire indiscriminately, they say, at
the crowd from a boat, in what they're calling a
highly premeditated attack. The Coastguard quickly apprehended Edge, and he's
now being held without bond, charged with three counts of
(04:37):
first degree murder, five counts of attempted murder, and five
counts of assault with a deadly weapon. He's a combat
veteran served in the Marines from two thousand and three
to two thousand and nine, earned the rank of sergeant
and was awarded a Purple Heart a purple Heart among
several other accolades for his service during the war. This
is a highly decorated You don't get higher than a
(05:00):
purple Heart.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
I know what happened. I know it's chilling. He changed
his name two years ago. He was known as Sean Well.
He was born as Shawn William Debivois. I'm not sure
if I'm saying that name right, but he reportedly suffers
from post traumatic stress disorder. Edge has his first court
hearing later today, where we're hopefully going to get some
(05:21):
more details. But there is so much to this story,
his backstory. We're going to record a podcast on this
later today, so look for it.
Speaker 3 (05:29):
But here's a fact.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
He escorted singer Kelly Pickler to the Country Music Awards
back in twenty twelve. So this was a young man
who you mentioned was a highly decorated marine. But there
was so much to his story. It's just confusing and
incredibly tragic to see how it's all ended.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
Now, all right, we're going to turn now on the
next leg of our run to Washington, where President Trump
has a hell of a meeting schedule the next couple
of days. Actually, depending on how those meetings go, a
war could end and our government could shut down. First up, though,
let's tell you about this first meeting. He is going
to welcome a very familiar guest to the White House,
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netan Yahoo. This is the fourth
(06:08):
time during President Trump's second term that he has shown
up at the White House.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
And the two plan to discuss Trump's proposed twenty one
point plan for a peace deal. In the nearly two
year Gaze Award Net and Yahoo will be at the
White House for several hours this morning before a scheduled
joint press conference this afternoon. President the President says he
hopes to get an agreement on a framework of a
deal at this meeting.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
Yeah. I wondered, of course, Netanyah, who gave a speech
at the UN on Friday, a lot of protests, people
walked out during it. I didn't realize he's been in
New York all weekend. I just kind of wonder what
the Israeli Prime Minister does. Did he take in the sites?
Doubtful he was getting ready for this meeting, but if
he had a weekend in.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
New York and I'm sure at an undisclosed location.
Speaker 2 (06:53):
All right, continuing on the run here now, we talked
about the meetings, and just as the President is going
to be seeing Net and Yahoo out of the world
White House, the President will turn right around and welcome
the top Democrats and Republicans from the House and Senate
for a meeting to try to avoid a government's shut
down without an agreement. The federal government is set to
shut down at midnight tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (07:12):
On the Republican side, Senator Senate Majority Leader John Thune
and Speaker of the House Mike Johnson will be in attendance,
and Democratic leaders Chuck Schumer and ha Keem Jeffries they'll
finally get that meeting with the President that they were
so abruptly canceled.
Speaker 3 (07:26):
On last week.
Speaker 1 (07:28):
So far, and not a lot of confidence is being
expressed that a deal can actually be reached because both
sides have been trying to publicly put the flame on
the other side for the shutdown. Shocking.
Speaker 2 (07:38):
Yeah, here's the issue. And you've heard this a lot.
They've tried to call it the Trump shut down, all
these things they're trying to label it as. Here's a deal.
Republicans want a temporary spending measure that will allow more
time to negotiate, keep the government running until we have
a big deal. Democrats say no, they refuse a temporary
(07:58):
spending bill that we keep the government open unless Republicans
first agree to assurances that certain healthcare cuts won't be
on the table. So before we negotiate, you have to
agree to something, is what they're saying. And the other
side say, hey, let's just keep talking. It's an impasse,
but it is coming soon. And you just mentioned Hakeem
Jefferies I guess President told them, hey, let's let's just
(08:20):
get something on the books for later, and here we are.
But yes, that meeting was what last Thursday.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
Ring, I believe, one of the two days.
Speaker 3 (08:26):
Yes, so we'll see what happens.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
But not a lot of confidence here, all right. The
other big meeting on the president's schedule this week is
one that he wasn't originally invited to. Remember. Last week,
Defense slash War Secretary Pete hag Seth some senior military
leaders swim meeting in Virginia with no reason given for
why they were all being told to come back. This
was described as an unprecedented gathering, eight hundred plus one
(08:51):
star generals and above all coming to Quantico.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
So we're saying eight hundred plus, but what is the
actual count? How many people are going to show up?
This is just it seemed like it was hastily put together.
But the meeting is now tomorrow and the President now
says he's coming. He had an interview with NBC News yesterday.
He said a little insight into the meeting here that
we didn't know much about. Said, they're simply going to
talk about, quote, how we're doing militarily and quote talk
(09:16):
about a lot of good positive things. Now we talked
about before. You have every top military leader of the
US Armed forces in one spot. That's a military I mean,
that's a safety issue. Now throw into the President into
the mix. He's there as well.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
Yeah, that's a little little crazy to think about all
those prominent folks under one roof.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
Continuing on the run here now we continue in our series.
We haven't had an update to our series in a while,
it seems like. But our ongoing series here on Morning
Run that we call who Done Gone and sue Trump?
Now today it's the good people of the state of
organ that's right.
Speaker 1 (09:54):
They filed a lawsuit against the administration to keep the
National Guard off the streets of their cities, in particular Portland,
because the President said he is sending two hundred National
Guard members to Portland because he claims the city is
war ravaged.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
We cover news here every morning. We overlook that when.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
That's all didn't Yeah, missed that one? All right? Well?
Trump wrote this on social media yesterday. At the requests sorry,
at the request of Secretary of Homeland Security Christinome, I
am directing Secretary of War Pete Hegseth to provide all
necessary troops to protect war ravaged Portland and any of
our ice facilities under siege from attack by Antifa and
(10:33):
other domestic terrorists. I am also authorizing full force if necessary.
Speaker 2 (10:39):
Obviously, the folks in Oregon are pushing back on any
idea that the city is war ravaged. They put out,
of course, crime statistics that show it's about the same
as last year. But what the President here is pointing
to is that this summer they've had protests at the
ice facility there, and yes, some of them did become
clashes between protesters and law enforcement. So he's using that
now as the justification for sending in troops, not continuing
(11:02):
on the run. Now, next leg brings us back to
New York, and it is official. New York will be
getting a new mayor. Most folks say they knew that,
yes already, but yes, Mayor Eric. Here comes another scandal.
Adams has dropped out of the mayoral race.
Speaker 1 (11:17):
He's been polling in the single digits, short on cash,
and unable to shake those corruption allegations. He did not
endorse any of the other three candidates still in the race,
but he did make it clear who he was not
supporting Zorhan mom Donnie, the state assemblyman who was the
surprise runaway winner of the primary and has remained the
front runner. Former Governor Andrew Cuomo and Republican Curtis Sliwa
(11:39):
remain in the race.
Speaker 2 (11:40):
Everybody wants everybody else to drop out because they think
they would have the best shot that getst Mom Donnie
even if they all dropped. All the polling shows even
in a two man race, Mom Donnie's going to beat
anybody handily. But we shall see. Continuing on the run here, now,
we had a couple of major storms churning in the Atlantic.
They aren't expected to make landfall in the US, but
could still ill cause US fits. First, there's Hurricane Umberto,
(12:03):
who is a Category four storm as of this morning,
hit category five at one point over the weekend. Tropical
Storm Immelda is that that yes is also out there,
expected to keep strengthening the next couple of days and
become a hurricane at some point tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (12:16):
Now, both of these storms are expected to stay well
off the east coast of the US, but their forecast
creates life threatening conditions in some areas of the southeast,
so meteorologist a warning about rip currents, dangerous surf, and
flooding threats in the southeastern coast of the United States
over the next couple of days.
Speaker 2 (12:33):
Next lega bar run takes us to Charlotte, where a
maintenance crew found a dead stowaway in the landing year
of an American Airlines flight that had just arrived from
Europe on Sunday. Authorities offered few details, only that an
investigation is underway.
Speaker 1 (12:47):
And officials say stowing away on a commercial plane is
almost always fatal. You're exposed to temperatures as low as
minus sixty degrees and because that area isn't pressurized, there
is very little oxygen at thirty five thousand feet. They
say it's almost impossible to survive stowing away in a
commercial airline.
Speaker 2 (13:04):
We still hear about people trying it.
Speaker 1 (13:07):
Yeah, it's sad because it must be so desperate for
you to get to that point.
Speaker 2 (13:10):
Those conditions are imp you cannot it's not.
Speaker 1 (13:13):
Going to scientifically, it doesn't make sense, all right.
Speaker 2 (13:15):
Continuing on the run here now, if you get some
time today, please please please, we encourage you to google
and read about the extraordinary life and service of George Hardy.
He was a Tuskegee Airman and just passed away at
the age of one hundred. He was the last surviving
Tuskegee Airmen that actually flew a combat mission.
Speaker 1 (13:37):
And he was the youngest member of the famed Aviators.
He was just nineteen when he finished his training and
started flying combat missions.
Speaker 3 (13:45):
In Europe during World War Two nineteen.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
He completed twenty one combat missions during the war and
went on to serve in the Korean and Vietnam Wars
as well. Hardy was born in Philly and joined the
Army Air Corps at the age of eighteen and began
training with the legendary first African American Aviators. In US
military history.
Speaker 2 (14:05):
Analyse is nineteen. She called yesterday. Did she sound like
she would have been able? She doesn't sound like he's nineteen?
No mission.
Speaker 1 (14:13):
It's mind blowing.
Speaker 2 (14:14):
We always compare when we see a young person doing
something like, wait a minute, Analyst is nineteen.
Speaker 3 (14:18):
Yes, that doesn't compute.
Speaker 2 (14:20):
How would you give a nineteen year old a military
plane and say, go help us win the war.
Speaker 3 (14:28):
It's crazy.
Speaker 1 (14:29):
It's crazy to think about.
Speaker 2 (14:30):
This was the one you probably noticed. Ropes. I got
up a couple times this morning because I didn't want
you to see me crying. And I got upset about
this story, not because we lost him, because he passed.
All this shit happened with DII. To think a nineteen
year old his service nineteen. You know what the world
was like for him at night, as a black man
at nineteen years old in nineteen forty four, and to
think of what he did. And there are people now
(14:51):
saying that his service should not be celebrated because he's
black and you're just a DEI candidate that thing. They
have wiped a lot of Tuskegee stuff off of websites
and got rid of pictures because they're DEI scrubbing the place.
And to think this guy at nineteen, to think of
his service. He probably didn't even think his service would
(15:12):
be ever celebrated, but to think it was and now
it's been taken back, it really really bothered me this morning.
Speaker 1 (15:18):
And that makes a lot of sense. So what we
can do now is celebrate him on this podcast and
help that other people will do the same.
Speaker 2 (15:25):
Take the time, if you can, George Hardy, look him up.
You'll be smiling. And again we should note he's the
last remaining that flew. But there are other thirteen Tuskegee
Airman who trained but didn't go into combat mission. So
we still have some out there, all right. Continuing on
the run here on this what is this Monday morning?
It's a Monday, Yes, the big announcement that was Sunday
(15:46):
about something that's going to happen on the biggest Sunday ever. Yet,
stick with us when we come back. We'll tell you
heard already about Bad Bunny. He is the new halftime
performer at the Super Bowl and already people got a
problem with it. Also, speaking of the NFL, we had
maybe the best game of the year already and nobody
won the damn thing. Also, Jimmy Kimmel is back fully
(16:08):
now and our national treasure Dolly Parton, we need to
check in with her. She tells us it's going to
be okay, but some concerns about her health this morning.
Continuing on the run, Now, here's this Monday morning big announcement.
(16:30):
Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny thirty one years old and
the young fella is going to be the halftime performer
for next year's Super Bowl announcement game. During halftime of
the Sunday night football game between the Cowboys and the Packers.
Speaker 1 (16:42):
Bad Bunny also posted the news to his social media
accounts with a I love this video. It's a stunning
video of him. You couldn't tell where he was. You
saw a beach all around him, and you see him
sitting on a goal post in the middle of this
beautiful beach, simply saying this.
Speaker 3 (16:56):
Wait, which super Bowl is this?
Speaker 1 (16:58):
I'm so abaud with Roman numerals. Is that sixty LX
super Bowl LX Bay Area February twenty twenty six. That
was it. But by the way, if you didn't know,
Bad Bunny is the most streamed artist in the world.
I didn't realize that he has three Grammys ten nominations,
and I love how he released it. It was a
(17:20):
heartfelt official statement.
Speaker 3 (17:22):
After his announcement was made.
Speaker 2 (17:23):
He thank keeping in mind this is a kid from
Puerto Rico, right, and here he is getting the biggest stage.
He wrote, quote, what I'm feeling goes beyond myself. It's
for those who came before me and ran countless yards
so I could come in and score a touchdown. This
is for my people, my culture, and our history, perfectly said,
so good, perfectly said. You know, I didn't even mind
sometimes it could be cheesy with some of the puns
(17:44):
about sport. That was perfect work done. His sixth World
Tour begins at the end of this year. He has
no stops in that World tour on.
Speaker 3 (17:55):
American soil. Yes, no stops, no cities in the United States.
Speaker 2 (18:00):
Uh, he said, and he said it. He made the
decision out of fear that ICE agents could use his
concerts to conduct raids to arrest fans. You see the
direction some of this is going to be going, and
some say he is the perfect choice given all that's
going on. I just got nervous, and just the rhetoric
is already up. The rhetoric is already up going after
(18:20):
him and why and the.
Speaker 1 (18:21):
Culture and his but his talent and his award are
are indisputable.
Speaker 2 (18:28):
If you don't know, he's the biggest quite frankly, quite
possibly the biggest star in the world. Yes, he guy's
I unbelieve blow is the residency. He just brought one
hundred plus million to Puerto Rico by doing a residency
correct concerts in.
Speaker 3 (18:39):
There, and so he has big shoes to fill. Though
Kendrick Lamar was.
Speaker 1 (18:42):
That the most watch watched halftime show ever so if
anyone could do it, it's bad Bunny, all right. Next
up on the Run, we might have already seen the best,
most thrilling game of the NFL season, but it's a
game that the players described as weird. It sucks, and
it left some of them pissed off.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
Okay, that's that's how they feel out. But as fans,
it was kind of cool last night. Yes, Green Bay
Packers Dallas Cowboys played to a forty to forty tie.
Game lasted almost four hours. This is the second highest
scoring tie in NFL history. They changed rules. It's kind
of complicated with the overtime rules that if the thing
goes out, there's certain rules and who scores first and
(19:19):
who scores second and who wins and Sutton death and
blah blahlah blah. But the clock hit zero and you
don't keep going like you do in college. So they
had a tie, and the guys hate it. Who wants
to play to a tie?
Speaker 1 (19:29):
That's tough. That's very tough.
Speaker 2 (19:31):
Continue on the Run now. Jimmy Kimmel is back fully now.
Friday night, everybody in the country was able to see
Jimmy Kimmel lie for the first time in more than
a week.
Speaker 1 (19:38):
Sinclair and Next Star, the two major station groups that
initially preempted the late night show, even after ABC reinstated
Kimmel well, they finally allowed the show to return to
their ABC affiliates. Sixty markets in major cities like DC, Nashville,
Seattle joined the rest of the country after Kimmel was
briefly suspended for his monologue about the suspected killer of
Charlie Kirk.
Speaker 2 (20:01):
I'm sorry, I got no problem.
Speaker 1 (20:02):
Seeing Claire and Nextar were both accused of trying to
stay in good favor with President Trump and FCC Chair
Brendan Carr by continuing to preempt Kimmel Seeing Claire, releasing
a statement that Next Star basically repeated, claiming that our
decision to preempt this program was independent of any government
interaction or influence. Now, despite the preemptions, Kimmel had the
(20:23):
second highest rated show in more than two decades on
Tuesday Night, and I love what he had to say
at the end of last week. We couldn't have done
it without you, mister President. Thank you very much. We
got the Trump bump and we appreciate it.
Speaker 2 (20:34):
That's funny.
Speaker 1 (20:34):
It's a good way to take it.
Speaker 2 (20:35):
I am curious now to see his tone. I kind
of want to watch the show every night just to
see how.
Speaker 1 (20:39):
Far he He's hoping you do, TJ. He's hoping you do.
Speaker 2 (20:42):
Continue on the run now with Dolly Pardon. She is
postponing what was a highly anticipated Vegas residency. It was
supposed to start in December, but now she's saying she
has health challenges that are preventing her from rehearsing to
put together, quote the show that I want you to
see and the show that you deserve to see. She
already has new dates for Vegas shows that will now begin.
(21:05):
This is a big push of a delay next September.
Speaker 3 (21:09):
Yes, so basically a year from now.
Speaker 2 (21:11):
Man.
Speaker 1 (21:11):
Yes, but she reassured her fans that this is just
a temporary setback. She said she has some procedures she
has to have done. But she said this, don't worry
about me quitting the business because God hasn't said anything
about stopping yet. But I believe He is telling me
to slow down right now so I can be ready
for more big adventures with all of you. This will
be Dolly's first extended run in more than thirty years.
(21:33):
And look, we've been listening to her music all morning long.
It's gonna be worth the wait. Her residency is described
at this event that weaves together seven decades of classic
hits and fan favorites, from nine to five to Jolene
to I Will Always Love You. Look, she's seventy nine
years old. I am impressed at her stamina period.
Speaker 2 (21:53):
You know what that's Let that be a lesson to
all of us, this idea that I believe that God
is telling me to slow down right now can be
ready for the next Sometimes you have to slow down
to speed up and listening to your body, listening to
your doctors, not trying to kill yourself out there. Essentially,
that's a good lesson. Continuing on the run here now,
one battle after another. It was number one at the
box office this weekend. The Leonardo DiCaprio led action comedy
(22:16):
is how it's being described or comedic action movie. I
didn't get that.
Speaker 1 (22:20):
I love all these like genre blending movies. I think
they're kind of fun. It brought in twenty two point
four million dollars.
Speaker 2 (22:28):
Ye all right. Didn't do bad internationally as well, forty
eight point five.
Speaker 1 (22:32):
Here's the problem though, the film, because when you have
an action, it usually comes with a high price tag. Yeah.
The film reportedly cost one hundred and thirty million dollars
to make and another seventy million to market, So it's
gonna have to keep doing well at the box office
for it to be profitable. Gabby Dollhouse debuted this weekend.
It was number two at the box office with thirteen
point five million. Kristin Wig love her in almost anything,
(22:56):
So that's cool. That was number two.
Speaker 2 (22:58):
Know about this show. It's a Netflix hit, but it's
it's kind of geared towards really really little kids. Wow,
all right, even preschoolers.
Speaker 1 (23:05):
That might be why I haven't heard of it. Gabby Dollhouse,
all right?
Speaker 3 (23:08):
Coming in three Demon Slayers.
Speaker 1 (23:10):
Wow, it finally fell number four, conjuring, still holding strong.
I love that number five Strangers Chapter two. That's not
exactly where they wanted to land terribly, that is, I
said that in a very kind of way.
Speaker 2 (23:22):
Eighteen percent and stuff like that. You always tell me
as one thing about the critics, but then what does
the audience say? The audience has a low score.
Speaker 1 (23:30):
I care more about the audience score than the critics score.
Speaker 2 (23:32):
Usually, final leg of our run. Congratulations Selena and Benny
Selena go Mas Benny Blanco got married over the weekend
in Santa Barbara after they got engaged last December.
Speaker 1 (23:42):
The couple, you know, they've been really transparent. I've loved
how much they've shared with us, and I love that
they went right onto their Instagram in a way kind
of maybe taking the steam out of anyone who was
trying to get pictures. I kind of liked the idea
of being in front of it. They shared photos almost
immediately from their wedding, Gomez simply writing nine to twenty
five with Heart's, Blanco captioning his photos with I married
(24:04):
a real life Disney princess. It was a star studded event,
with wedding speeches reportedly given by both Taylor Swift and
Ed Sheeran. That's just that's awesome.
Speaker 2 (24:13):
That's nuts.
Speaker 1 (24:14):
It's so cool.
Speaker 2 (24:16):
Who gave toasts at your wedding? Those two? Yes, that
is unreal. Other guests of the wedding includes Steve Martin,
Martin Short, Paul Rudd, all of them of course on
Only Murders in the Building. Her co stars also Paris
Hilton SAYSA came, I look a bailed. To name a
few and this is cool. I have liked how they've
gone about it when they made the something just sweet,
(24:36):
not promotional. We'll let you know because we almost feel
like we're obligated to but we're happy and we're doing
our thing and moving. I love how they've balanced privacy,
and also we know we have fans and we know
what you. I think they've done this really well.
Speaker 1 (24:50):
And they were in front of it, and I do
love that they did that, and they look happy. You
can just tell this isn't about some you know, business
deal or they want to look good.
Speaker 3 (25:00):
No, you can see it in their faces. So we're
rooting for them.
Speaker 1 (25:03):
Congratulations, we love love and they look so happy.
Speaker 3 (25:07):
Well, we would like you to consider this.
Speaker 1 (25:09):
On this Monday as you go about your day. It's
something we were talking about. We had this conversation a
couple of days ago. I found a quote that just
there's plenty like it out there, but I loved this one.
Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy laingerie,
don't save it for a special occasion.
Speaker 3 (25:28):
Yes, today is special.
Speaker 2 (25:29):
Yes, I love that. It takes a little practice, But
once you get that in your mind, what are you
waiting for? Let me hold on to this because I
wanted to wear it tomorrow when I'm going to see
that you might not get there.
Speaker 1 (25:40):
We were talking about burning candles and I was just like,
let's burn the candles. People say, drink the champagne. Don't
save that expensive bottle of wine. Drink it now. You
don't know when your time is up. So that's you
know who that came from, Regina Brett. She's an author,
but I did a little digging. She's a breast cancer survivor.
That made a lot of sense to me as we're
about to on breast cancer wearing this month. I just
(26:01):
loved this quote. Please take it to heart on this Monday.
Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie.
Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special,
and on this Monday, thank you for running with us everyone.
Speaker 2 (26:16):
I made me a robots and I'm TJ. Holmes. We
will see y'all soon.
