Speaker 1 (00:18):
Hell you, how are you hold on? I'm gonna pin
you to Oh there you are.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
It just kind of enlarges your face and uh, well private.
So you have a tiny head, you do?
Speaker 1 (00:34):
Yeah, I have a tiny little peanut head that is
stuffy right now, you know. And I can hear it
came back from I'm gonna say from the convention. I'm yes, yes,
they're around lots of people.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
We were around a lot of people, closed quarters. I
don't know about the airflow. It was, you know, it
was close quarters.
Speaker 1 (00:53):
So although I don't know because SO and I came
down with it at the same time. And weirdly, I
hadn't been together over the weekend because we were traveling.
She had been at her dad's but then she had
she had her adnoid surgery and then got sick that like,
started not feeling great that night and we both woke
up with a with an awful cold in the morning.
So she is just I wish I could help her,
(01:15):
but there's not much I could do. She can't blow
her nose. She can't.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
Yeah, she just got to be miserable. Just sit in
her misery until I know it passes. Well, you're a champ.
For well being upright and record your voice anyway.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
Excited we're doing a thing. We're doing a recap. How
the con was fun though. We had a good time.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
Yeah, Smoking Mountain fan Fest. I know people were asking
if we were going to do a recap. I think
we're just going to talk about it right now, not
the old dedicated episode. But it was a great weekend.
We were in the Deep South. Everyone had an accent.
Every single person that we met that weekend.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
I found deep left. Thank you, yeah, thank.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
You, thank you.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
So great. But everyone was so kind. You know that, Wow,
my wife. That was the guy in the airport right
yelling about my wife.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
Yelling about his wife. It was he looked like Joe Dirt,
not like I mean, but like he literally I mean,
the big hat, the mullet, the thing was talking about
his It was great. No, everyone was so sweet and
lovely and like so kind. And we have a great
team that we get to travel with.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
It was a great team. It was a Fuller Empire ironically,
no relation to Fuller House. Fuller Empire is the name. Yeah,
they were just stand out team. Yeah, we they've all
been great, but this one in particular.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
Was Yeah, particularly so we had some Michelle. We had Michelle,
awesome people working our tables with us dom as always. Yeah,
we were We went out to dinner and uh probably
offended just about everyone's sitting around us, but that's what
we do.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
We talked about a lot of things that we can't share.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
Yeah, no, no or humor. Yes, yeah, birds though did
not say with birds, but yeah it was no. We
had a We had a great time, Andrey and I
got to travel home together. We did not travel there
together because you had a series of unfortunate events.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
Well, yeah, because I wanted to flight Delta because that's
my preferred airline, but they didn't. You know, they only
had a noon flight, which I know, never do that.
Always take the first flight out, no matter what the airline.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
My preferred airline is, which everyone gets me the hell there, you.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
Know that's my new model. Because yeah, I just I
couldn't get out. I had to switch airports. Yeah, the
delays kept coming. I somehow made it, but I didn't
get untill like midnight because it was delay after delay
after delay.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
Well that's what happened. When I was at the when
went to the Daytona one with the people plane, the people. Yeah,
got Pete on the plane and we had to pull
back into the gate. We're about ready to take off.
What what is.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
It with you in flight? So there's always something that
happens inbound. Like you said, lou for Ignoll was on
your flight going there, and he lost his shoes.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
Well when we landed, like like taking his tennis shoes off.
I mean he had the socks on. Don't anybody get
all weird about it. Yeah, And we were sitting there
and and you know when you land sometimes like the
stuff under the seat kind of goes flying. And yeah,
he was the like the across the aisle and I
saw he had like one shoe was like like a
hulk Cinderella like one shoe looking over the other one,
(04:28):
and and it had gone like a couple rows up
and they had to pass his shoe back, and it
was Yeah, I was glad shoes. Yeah, I mean, yeah,
that's hysterical.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
What yah?
Speaker 1 (04:42):
Who is so lovely? By the way, he's We were
in the car with him at five am on the
way to the airport, on the way home, and yeah,
he was quite lovely. And you got here picture redone.
I did.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
But the forty two year challenge. Yes I met him.
I mean I told the story on my Instagram for
anyone who wants to know. But yes, I met him
when I was seven at like a network something or
other I remember.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
What, probably the Hollywood Christmas Breade.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
Probably, yeah, probably. And I didn't know he was the
Hulk at the time because I was terrified of the Hulk,
and so my parents smartly did not tell me, Hey,
you just posed for a picture with the incredible Hulk.
So I got to tell him this story and he
was so just kind and generous. Yea, I said, can
we recreate this picture? And he was like, of course.
He's just he looks great for he's in his seventies.
(05:29):
He's more handsome than ever. His eyes are just stunning.
He's killing it. He's very tall. Yeah, he was just
but such a nice guy. And his girlfriend was lovely too. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
It's always fun. I mean, we get to see Reddy,
I was, I flew out with Sam Levine and uh
yeah and Laney and yeah it was you know, it's
just fun to get to see everybody.
Speaker 2 (05:52):
So we have to talk about the lovely fan who
dressed as Stephanie's pink bunny wallpaper guys head to Toe costplace.
Speaker 1 (06:04):
And fanner Rito because obviously she knows the history. Yeah,
she cosplayed. She had the pink bunny shirt on from
the from our Merch thing and hard merch dot Com
shameless plug and she had like striped sort of blue
(06:24):
like light blue pajama bottoms, little pink bunny ears, ear rings,
pink bunny ears, like a headband with little ears on him.
And I was like, oh my gosh, you look so cute.
She's like, I'm cosplaying as Stephanie's pink bunny wallpaper. I
was like, this is it was so creative, loved it.
Speaker 2 (06:42):
Such a highlight. She looked fantastic. I was like, that
is dedication man head to Toe. I kind of know
where she got those ear rings too. Those I wonder
if that was like an Etsy purchase or.
Speaker 1 (06:54):
No, And was it walking and rolling across from us.
The dad that does the amazing.
Speaker 4 (07:02):
The costumes the costumes, Yeah, he builds custom like cosplay
costumes for families who have kids in either use any
sort of.
Speaker 1 (07:16):
Like walker or nobility ability device, and he literally builds
around the chair and incorporates it into it so there's
like movement and all this kind of stuff and he
does it completely by donations.
Speaker 2 (07:33):
Right right, So it's free to the family.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
Yeah, it's free to the family. Then the kid gets
an awesome costume and they do like custom orders and stuff,
and and his son was their premieer debuting a new costume,
which was really cool. It was a Minecraft chicken thing.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
Oh that's what it was. I couldn't identify the U.
Minecraft makes sense, but.
Speaker 1 (07:53):
Thereby eight bba bb e one right in the as
the wheelchair does, the wheels spun on it, like the
legs moved and stuff. And yeah, it's really cool and
like so so many lovely, wonderful people just really having
fun and enjoying and lots of creativity. And yeah it
was good.
Speaker 2 (08:10):
Yeah that was great. You met big Bird. We both
met big birds. Highlight. I stopped our lines.
Speaker 1 (08:16):
I was like, I practically leapt over my table when
I saw big Bird. And I have to say, yeah,
what is it Katie's Katie's Katie QUT's creations or something cosplay? Well,
I have the Big Bird stire. No anyway, uh, seventy
five hundred hand placed yellow feathers on that costume that
(08:40):
she made. There was a little there was a hole
in it so that the person could see and like
talk at it. The mouth moved like it was it
is big bird.
Speaker 2 (08:50):
I need to find the photo of us in Central
Park with whatever that random big bird.
Speaker 1 (08:55):
Walking through Central Big Bird's slightly reper cousin right right
to hit on some hard times there in the Sesame Street. Yeah,
everywhere we go. He just he was hanging out with
Oscar in a trash can. It was it was Oscar
and big birds. So yeah, yeah, I mean you kind
of you.
Speaker 2 (09:13):
Know, you know what they say. Yeah, oh man, what
a great what a great weekend. Yeah, it was short
but sweet.
Speaker 1 (09:20):
We saw wolf. Sorry, just random. We saw we met
We met a wolf.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
And yeah that was yeah.
Speaker 1 (09:30):
We did did our little she wolf howl and we
went oh and the wolf started howling too. We're like
and then then he turned around and was like trying
to like lick our faces and and sort of like
not aggressively, but but like how dogs do with each other.
Apparently with wolves it's a sign of affection when they
try and like groom your mouth. But it's a little
(09:54):
disconcerting when a wolf is sort of going for your face.
But I didn't fine with me, but yeah, it was
really really cool.
Speaker 2 (10:04):
That was cool. I'm still said I didn't get to
hold the owl. They had an owl they did as well. Yeah, Eurasia,
Eurasia that I thought it was a great horned owl,
but it's not Eurasian. Eurasian something something owl. Oh he's
so cool.
Speaker 1 (10:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
It was his little neck on his little head on
the swivel, just looking all around three hundred sixty degrees. Yeah,
it was so cool. Yeah, lots of fun things to
look at. It's very these the last two cons, we've
been to Steel City and then Smoky Mountain. It's not
like nineties con like there's right. These cons are like
just throw anything at the wall and see what sticks.
You know, you got anime, you got cosplay, You've got wolves.
Speaker 1 (10:40):
This coseplay. It's a lot of animated stuff. It's basically
shows that have like very specific followings, you know what
I mean, shows that have or supernatural or you know whatever,
walking Dead, that kind of stuff. But yeah, and a
ton of full house fans. We had a lot of
really great fans come. We had people drive from Maryland,
we had we had yeah, we had all we had
(11:01):
people sent representatives, we had I mean it was so many.
Speaker 2 (11:04):
Things, Yeah, so many things.
Speaker 1 (11:06):
And I got gifts.
Speaker 2 (11:09):
Oh yeah, we got a lot of nice gifts. Got
the little a little Lucille Ball book right here. Oh
how cute, like the children's a little golden book of
Lucille Ball. That's adorable, so sweet. And then this fan
also printed out tweets we had apparently we had tweeted
back when Twitter was still Twitter. This was years ago,
(11:30):
and she had recommended. She's like, she's like, I think
you should write a book. This was like ten years ago.
And then she printed out these receipts like look, I'm
the one that encouraged you to write your book, and
look a look, thank you, and here we are. And
then she brought my book and I signed it for her.
It was just a great full circle moment. Yeah, no,
very nice. Somebody gave us personalized bibles with our names
(11:55):
engraved in the cover. That was very nice.
Speaker 1 (11:58):
Yes, but can I say that yours was missing an R.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
It's close enough.
Speaker 1 (12:06):
Let's just say that I now call her Andrea Baber.
Speaker 2 (12:10):
That you know it works. I think it works, missus Baber.
Speaker 1 (12:12):
And missus Babe, yeah Baber, Yeah, I love it. But no,
we like lots of very sweet gifts and really sweet
fans and yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
Oh this is so sweet. Not as many like Taylor
Swift bracelets, like usually that's the big.
Speaker 1 (12:29):
No, no, no, the t Swift bracelets. I think now
that the Eras tour is over, everyone has just collectively
moved on from that to the next hyper focus.
Speaker 2 (12:36):
And now there's focused on the wedding, the engagement of
Taylor Swift. We're in. We're in for the long haul here,
buckle up, people. So yeah, great, great weekend all around.
I loved Smoking Mountain. I want to go back, and
I want.
Speaker 1 (12:49):
To do Dollywood, to Dollywood and everything. I had a
lot of people come through my line that were like,
are you gonna make it to Dollywood? And I had
to disappointingly tell them. Now, a lot of people who
were like, I'm a season holder, I'd take you right now.
Speaker 2 (13:01):
I know. They were so nice.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
Lets people offer you to take us. And I hear
the Stampede is coming up at Dollywood and it's kind
of the fall festival sort of thing. And I hear
that Dolly's actually there at the park during that time.
Oh man, I now know what time of year I
have to go.
Speaker 2 (13:21):
So yeah, we got to go for the stampede. Okay, yeah,
bucket list item bucket But.
Speaker 1 (13:27):
Anyway, yeah, lovely beautiful, smoky mountains were gorgeous green, I
mean just absolutely stunning. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (13:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (13:35):
Rain.
Speaker 2 (13:35):
It rained several times when we're there, but we're such
like la. People were like, oh my gosh, it's there's rain,
it's green. The trees are green.
Speaker 1 (13:43):
Tree. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (13:45):
We're like, oh, that's why the trees are green, because
it rains a lot.
Speaker 1 (13:47):
Yeah. Yeah, we're used to theresily.
Speaker 2 (13:58):
Welcome back to Howe Tanertos. I am Andrea Barber.
Speaker 1 (14:02):
And I'm Jody Sweeten, who was almost about to take
a drink of something right before I introduced myself and
realized that would be a bad idea.
Speaker 2 (14:09):
I know. I started the intro right as I saw
you grounds, Like I was like, I should have waited. Yeah, yeah,
good timing. Today we're discussing season five, episode twelve, Bachelor
of the Month. It originally aired November twenty sixth, nineteen
ninety one, and it goes a little something like this,
Danny has more dates than he can keep after a
(14:30):
San Francisco magazine names him Bachelor of the Month, and
Michelle becomes upset with his new popularity, Michelle's Upset Michelle.
It was directed by Joelswick, It was written by Tom Percard,
and it's guest starring several return guest stars, the Renterias
(14:50):
as Nicki and Alex Gail Edwards as Vicky Larson, Taj
Mowrie as Teddy love It. And then we have some newcomers.
We have Nicole Chamberlain as Penny Allen the Jogging The
Jogging Date.
Speaker 1 (15:04):
To the Door right.
Speaker 2 (15:06):
Yes, she's known as Jay Moore's ex wife, and she
also guest starred on Married with Children and Night Court.
Then we have John Drayman as the Maitre d. He
guest appeared on Days of Our Lives not at the
same time I did Perfect Strangers, where he also played
a waiter in a nineteen ninety two series called Sisters
(15:28):
with Swoozy Kurtz. Then we have Keith Farley as Waiter.
He doesn't get a name, He's just the waiter. Uh oh,
maybe he's the one that no, never mind. He voice
directed the Skylanders and Call of Duty video games. Oh wow,
I don't know much about video games.
Speaker 1 (15:47):
Call of Duty is like one of the largest video
game series out there. But I don't know voice directed.
I mean it's I imagine he does a lot of
voiceover work or directs voiceover.
Speaker 2 (15:55):
Well, there's a lot of voice director credits. I think
he's primarily a voice racked and also I assume also
a voice actor as well. Oh yes, because he he
either voice directed or was in Rugrats and the Wild Thornberries. Okay, yeah,
uh so he's great, fantastic work. And then last, but
it's certainly not last, we have Jennifer Wood as roller
(16:18):
blading date, not jogger, no, no, she's the roller rollerblader
and she did seven episodes of Dragon's Den, which is
a reality show from two thousand and six. Never watched it, unfortunately,
And they didn't name the other dates, the you know,
the other women they didn't have So yeah, they didn't
(16:41):
have lines, so they don't they don't get a convention. Okay,
so we do not start with the teaser. There's no teaser.
We go straight to the credit. Not a tease to
be found. We start in the kitchen. Jesse rushes down
the stairs with a walkie talkie attached to his side.
He quickly greets the family who's gathered at the table
(17:02):
for breakfast. Everyone says hi, but Joey and Danny point
out that they've barely seen him since the twins were born.
Danny asks, how's it going, Dad, and Jesse boasts, Oh,
it's going fine, and it's not Dad, it's mighty Dad.
And he poses like a superhero for emphasis.
Speaker 1 (17:20):
With some excellent necklaces. By the way.
Speaker 2 (17:23):
Oh yeah, it's just great for lots of bling for
changing diapers and stuff like that. Fortunately the babies aren't
grabbing yet, or they would be for sure grabbing all
of that, right that bling. Jesse goes on to explain
that he was up all night getting the nursery done.
He grabs a broom and a laundry basket for his
next tasks, but first he needs a nutritious breakfast. At
(17:46):
his request, they all load some donuts onto the broom handle.
It's very unsanitary, prop well, the prop donuts prop donuts usually,
you know, but right.
Speaker 1 (17:57):
But on the show we know it's a prop donut.
But like in real life, he's like to throw some
doughnuts on a broom for me, and I'm gonna eat them, but.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
You corn on the cob, you know, it's just like
that's a weird. Yeah, yeah, Danny Tanner would never.
Speaker 1 (18:12):
So.
Speaker 2 (18:13):
Then the doorbell rings and Danny gets up to answer it, saying, hey,
that's my ride. Jesse's walkie talkie sounds, but we see
it's not a walkie talkie, it's actually a baby monitor.
We hear Becky on the other end, come in, Mighty Dad,
and Jesse answers, read you loud and clear, mighty Mama.
Becky reveals we have a situation in the attic. We've
(18:33):
got a number two in progress from twin number one,
and Jesse responds ten to four on number one's number two,
over and out, and he heads back up the stairs
to help his wife. Cute little bit like they're in it,
like they are in the thick of babyhood.
Speaker 1 (18:48):
And I love Jesse's just being like, I got it.
Look look at me. Yeah, because you do got The
first like week, you're like, I've got I think I'm
gonna be okay, And then it all catches up with
you and the adrenaline wears off and you're like.
Speaker 2 (18:59):
Oh no, yeah, it's true. When they're really really little,
they sleep a lot. So yeah, like the first few
weeks are usually not terrible, but yeah, they're they're they're
tag teaming, they're they're doing good parenting, co parenting, they're
just Yeah, I'm proud of Jesse. He has risen to
the occasion. Good job, Jesse. H Then Danny and Vicki
(19:19):
walk in. He introduces her to the family. Michelle gushes, Daddy,
you're right, she is a pretty girl. Vicky smiles and
thanks Danny for the compliment, and then Michelle, not so slyly,
asks are you going to ask her on a date? Oh? Kids,
they always say the one thing you don't want them
to say. So Danny tries to play it cool. Michelle,
(19:42):
where would you get an idea like that? And Michelle
admits from Stephanie. Stephanie shrugs, I heard it from DJ,
and DJ insists I heard it from Joey, and Joey
reveals and I heard it from Danny. Oh now it's awkward.
Danny chuckles. Tell Vicky you see how these crazy rumors
get started. Danny assumes that Vicky wouldn't want to mix
(20:06):
business with pleasure, and Vicky admits that's true. So Danny says, great,
it'll work out perfect. I won't ask you out and
you won't say no. Then Kimmy barges In wearing a
very colorful get up, sort of a tropical blue shirt
right oversized.
Speaker 1 (20:24):
You look like you're ready for Margaritaville. I know, I
kind of.
Speaker 2 (20:27):
Loved the outfit because I think because it was I mean,
it's loud, yeah, but it was just kind of baggy
and flowy, and I'm like, well, it's comfortable at least.
Kimmy excitedly announces you'll never guess who Bay City Magazine
picked as Bachelor of the Month. She shows them the
fold out centerfold photo of Danny, who is wearing a
(20:48):
tuxedo and giving the camera a thumbs up.
Speaker 1 (20:52):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (20:53):
Kimmy's face sours as she realizes, oh, thank god he
left his clothes on. And I remember this being kind
of a fragile prop, Like they didn't have a real centerfold,
full out picture of Bob, so they kind of constructed
it with sticks and stuff for They're like, don't open it,
(21:14):
open it, jelly, And then I had to hold it
in a certain way so it would just sort of
flip and you know, make it easy on the cameraman.
But uh yeah, fragile prop, but a great little site
gag there. Uh So, Danny takes the magazine from Kimmy
and looks at it in surprise, and he admits, oh wow,
I don't know what to say. Joey side eyes him. Well,
(21:35):
you could say three years of sending in your picture
finally paid off. Danny turns to Vicky, I hope you
don't think I did this just as an easy way
to meet women, and Vicky responds, Oh, of course not.
You probably did it to get publicity for the show.
Danny looks at her with relief. Absolutely having a lot
of strange women chasing after me. Boy, that's the last
(21:58):
thing I want. On cue. There's a knock at the
back door. Give me answers to reveal a woman in
a workout outfit jogging in place.
Speaker 1 (22:06):
Just you never know what's going to come through that
back door. It's like nrding, you know, the lion, the
witch and the jogging girl. I mean, yeah, And I'm.
Speaker 2 (22:17):
Like, why didn't she use the front stoop? I don't know,
Well why not.
Speaker 1 (22:21):
She was jogging through the park, I mean their backyard,
and so she just came upon this house after you know,
going a couple of miles through obviously the Golden Gate Park,
and yeah, maybe.
Speaker 2 (22:34):
The Golden Gate Park somehow attaches to the Tanner backyard.
Speaker 1 (22:37):
Yeah, it's just so yeah, it's huge. It's yeah, right
they got into.
Speaker 2 (22:42):
You know, they really did. So this jogger woman breathlessly asks, Hi,
does the bachelor of the month live here? And kim
I mean they punt his address? Like how did she fine?
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (22:58):
Well says that she lives on the street or something.
Speaker 2 (23:01):
Oh yeah, yeah that's right. So Kimmy responds, yes he does,
but you're the last thing he wants, and she slams
the door in her face. Danny rushes to the door,
desperate to meet this mystery woman, and he invites her inside.
She introduces herself as Penny Allen. She jogged to the
Tanner's house from down the street and across the Bay
(23:22):
Bridge just to ask Danny to dinner. And she says
all this while she's continuing to jog in place that
does sound a little stalker ish now, yeah, And she's like, hey,
I ran.
Speaker 1 (23:31):
Up to your back door and wondered if we could
get a date. And I will say for as long
as she's been jogging, she looks great, Yeah, beat a
sweat on.
Speaker 2 (23:42):
Her Oh no, not not here right, No, for having
jogged for probably the better part of an hour. Yeah,
looks fantastic. Yep. So Danny says yes to the date,
and Penny runs off. Literally Danny mimics her moves and
does a quick jog over to Vickiy. He acts suave,
(24:03):
brushing his hair back with his hands while saying, what
do you know? I got myself a date tonight? And
I love that little detail, that little overconfident, you know,
brushing the fingers through his hair. It's just such a
fun little moment that comes back later.
Speaker 1 (24:17):
But he's so awkward when he does it, like he's
still you know what I mean, Like it's like he's
like doing it. It's like you're like, no, just just
run your hit, but he's like moving. It's funny.
Speaker 2 (24:27):
It's it's almost like he's trying to imitate Jesse and
the cool fingers through the hair, but he's just not
nailing it at all. It's so funny, So Danny. So
Michelle wins, what about my bedtime story? And DJ jumps in,
we'll fill in for dad, and Stuff nods in agreement.
How often does Dad have a date anyway? And Michelle
(24:50):
shakes her head not very often, and this reverse shot
of the kitchen table will never not be weird to me.
It's just, I know, it's always weird when they bring
out that fourth wall because it's also.
Speaker 1 (25:03):
Just such an obvious like there's no you know what
I mean, It's just a flat wall with a painting
on it, like.
Speaker 2 (25:08):
It's there's no depth to it. To block the audience
for a minute to get this shot right. Next in
the Attic, Jesse and Becky show the twins their brand
new nursery. When Jesse asks the boys what they think,
they don't respond obviously, and Jesse jokes, oh, I can
(25:29):
feel the excitement. Then he shakes their special Elvis mobile
and jokes they're all shook up see, and Becky hopes
they can sleep with the glare of those sequined jumpsuits
like it's so ridiculous. I love it, so Elvis mobile,
like that is just fantastic. Jesse asks what's next, and
(25:52):
Becky suggests a diaper check. While Becky's twin is fresh
as a daisy, Jesse's twin smells like for He asks
the babies in frustration, why is it that every time
you're wet you're dry? Every time you're awake, you're asleep,
every time you're spitting up, you're hungry. Guys, you're identical. Twins.
(26:14):
Do something identical.
Speaker 1 (26:16):
Would be the hardest part about twins.
Speaker 2 (26:18):
Yeah, they don't have identical needs at the same time.
That's gotta be tough. Becky calls Jesse cranky and tells
him to take a nap, but Jesse insists he doesn't
need one. In fact, two hours of sleep a night
is more than enough for Mighty Dad. Becky jokes that
next time they should go for triplets, and Jesse wins, is,
(26:39):
next time you may have to go without me. Up
in Michelle and Stephanie's room, DJ is reading Michelle a
bedtime story about a tug boat, and I totally forgot
that you guys are sharing a room. Now it's been
an episode or two, and I was like, oh, yeah,
that's right. Michelle is now where Stephanie used to be.
DJ finishes the story with a t but Michelle is
(27:01):
displeased with DJ's efforts. Michelle explain, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
she's she's already upset. You don't want to poke the beast,
Michelle explains. When Daddy tells the story, he goes toot
and pretends to pull on a handle. So DJ does
it again, but Michelle isn't pleased with the volume of
(27:24):
her voice this time. She makes her older sister say
it a few more times. Then Steph walks in with
a glass of water from the kitchen. Specifically, Michelle is
skeptical of whether or not it's actually kitchen water, but
once she gives it a taste, it passes her inspection.
As opposed to bathroom.
Speaker 1 (27:44):
Water, different have different flavors.
Speaker 2 (27:48):
This is true, I guess. Yeah, if you're not gonna
have specific very yeah, oh man, they can get specific
about the color of the cup, which cup, which sink?
Speaker 1 (28:01):
Give them the right cup and they cry, it's.
Speaker 2 (28:04):
Yeah, it's it's a it's an emotional roller coaster.
Speaker 1 (28:08):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (28:09):
So DJ and stuff turn on her lamp as the
night light.
Speaker 1 (28:12):
Because the lights off in this house.
Speaker 2 (28:15):
No, they have.
Speaker 1 (28:16):
Actually, I'm shy, like twenty three hours a day she's
in the light, you know what I mean, She's.
Speaker 2 (28:21):
Like, I know, no wonder she well, yeah, her sleep
hygiene isn't as great as it could be. She need
she needs a yeah, a softer night light, not quite
so bright. So they lock her dollhouse and then they
give her a kiss good night. DJ grins, see, I
told you we could do it, just like Daddy, But
Michelle disagrees, n uh, you need to work on your
(28:44):
tug boat. Very judgy, very judgy. DJ admits she'll probably
have another chance because Dad has a date every night
this week. She groans, right, it's like, wow.
Speaker 1 (28:58):
She seems so out of character.
Speaker 2 (29:00):
It really is. Yeah, to have what is it like,
twenty five dates and ten days like that is it's
very out of character for Danny. But he's you know,
he's riding this high bachelor there. Yes, he's only got
one month.
Speaker 1 (29:14):
Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 5 (29:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (29:15):
The next month it'll be somebody else, probably in the
Tanner family.
Speaker 2 (29:18):
But it'll be hopefully Joey. He he's a good girlfriend.
So Michelle groans, you've gotta be kidding, and Stuff responds No,
Dad is out having fun right now, and Michelle wonders,
what could be more fun than me? Cue a montage,
Get a Danny montage Danny and his dates while the
(29:41):
zz top song Sharp Dressed Man plays in the background.
This is I love a Danny montage.
Speaker 1 (29:48):
I have to admit like Danny montage because it's so ridiculous.
Speaker 2 (29:54):
He's just he commits man when he really commits to
the spit. First he's out at dinner with Penny the Jogger.
Then he's roller skating with another woman. Next he's at
a forty nine ers game with somebody else who didn't
get credited. Then he's tearfully watching a performance of Romeo
and Juliet with a woman as she dabs his tears away.
(30:15):
And finally he is slow dancing with yet another woman,
and when he dips her, he lifts up a completely
different woman and they continue to dance amazing. It's just
he's got game finally, you know, he's finally got game.
Go Danny. We cut quickly to the wake Up San
Francisco set and Danny happily updates the viewers on day
(30:38):
ten of being a Bachelor of the Month. He smiles
as he reminisces on his romantic date last night. He
recalls Amber and I road bumper cars and boy, oh boy,
can she bump.
Speaker 1 (30:54):
It just so again. It feels so out of character
for Danny.
Speaker 2 (30:58):
I know, I mean, yes, he's just excited because.
Speaker 1 (31:02):
Maybe he doesn't get a lot of attention.
Speaker 2 (31:04):
He doesn't get a lot of attention, and he's you know,
it's been five years since Pam, or five or six
years since Pam passed away, and so it's time he's
back in the saddle, and boy is he enjoying it.
Speaker 1 (31:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (31:17):
Vicky gives a fake laugh. Danny, I don't think our
viewers need to hear about another one of your shallow dates.
Danny questions shallow, and Vicky points out that he's been
with twenty four women in ten nights.
Speaker 1 (31:31):
I'm tired just thinking about dinner every night, plus maybe
a brunch there on a Sunday, right Like.
Speaker 2 (31:39):
I'm exhausted. When does he have time to sleep? Danny
defends himself, calling it quality time, but Vicky doubles down
and repeats shallow. Danny shoots back, Oh, I'm sure your
dating life is so deep. I could just picture you
with some stuffed shirt discussing Russian literature over white wine
and breeze. Vicky, Oh, I can imagine what your dating
(32:02):
life is like, and then she mimics Danny by over
touching her hair and showing a goofy grin g amber.
I wonder which bumper car goes the fastest zing this
tense banter between the two of them, like, this is fantastic.
Their chemistry is so on point. The Selene I know they.
Speaker 1 (32:23):
Were so I forgot sort of how it was at
first with them.
Speaker 2 (32:28):
Yeah, yeah, you just I love it. You could just
see this little relationship brewing. It's great. So Danny uses
this opportunity to ask Vicky out on a date live
on air in front of their viewers, and she accepts.
Danny Grin's well, then tomorrow you can tell everybody that
I'm not the shallow, bubble headed bachelor you think I am.
(32:48):
And then Vicky quips or I can call it like
I see it. Danny's finally met his match, you know,
and this verbal warfare its all the quips.
Speaker 1 (32:59):
With her discussing, discussing Russian literature over breed. Brie is delicious.
Speaker 2 (33:03):
That sounds great. Actually, you know some breeze's very very
it is, but the breed is.
Speaker 1 (33:12):
I'm there for that.
Speaker 2 (33:12):
Yeah, I'm down anytime for Brie. Next in the kitchen,
Joey hangs up the phone and tells Jesse that's the
third Cindy that's called Danny today. How does he keep
all these women straight? And Jesse remembers that he used
to have memory tricks, like Lisa who wore lace became
Lacey Lisa. He stares off into the distance, thinking about
(33:36):
his past flings. When his wife walks downstairs, as Jesse
dreamily says, help me, Ronda, Help help me, Ronda, Becky asks,
help you do what Jess, and he gets quite the scare.
Then he hands Becky a clean basket of laundry, while
Becky hands him a dirty bag of laundry. They both
(33:58):
let out an exhausted huff as Jesse questions, does it
ever end? No, it doesn't.
Speaker 1 (34:04):
Laundry there, it's it's never ending.
Speaker 2 (34:08):
That new board laundry. Yeah, they're you're they're changing out
You gotta change our outfits like eight times a day
because they spit up the poop the poop league. Yeah,
there's oh man, and they've got times too, So yeah,
the laundry is intense. Becky reminds Jesse to change the
crib liner because Alex spit up again, and Jesse asks,
is it my imagination or is more coming out than
(34:30):
going in? Becky admits it's one of the mysteries of science.
As the new parents slump over in exhaustion, Joey asks
what happened to mighty Dad and Mighty Mama. Jesse size
we're mighty pooped. Joey tells them they should pace themselves.
The twins don't even move yet. True, then, yeah, this
(34:51):
is the easy part. They're non mobile. Then we hear
a baby start to scream through the monitor, and they
ask each other whose turn is it? Point to each
other in unison yours, and then they both get up
and say, all right, I'll go. This is I am
exhausted just watching this episode, between the newborn stuff and
(35:12):
the dating stuff. Yeah, I needed a nap after this.
Back in the girl's room, Danny's bedtime story to Michelle
is about Vicky calling him a shallow maiden chaser, so
he proclaims Prince Daniel is going to sweep her off
her feet with his charming, dashing ways and make her
(35:32):
eat her words in front of the TV kingdom. Michelle
admits this is not his best story, but as Danny continues,
then the two of them sailed off into the sunset
on a beautiful magic tug boat Dootdote and Michelle can't
help but smile. I do love that tug boat. Danny
continues her bedtime routine, and Teddy walks in confused. He
(35:55):
thought that he and Michelle were gonna play, and Danny
explains that he has a date tonight, so they're doing
her bedtime routine early. Then Michelle jumps out from under
the covers, fully dressed and exclaims, now I can get
up and play. Teddy looks at his friend with concern
as he says, this is a strange family. Saye strange family,
(36:17):
Titty's he speaks for all of us. This is a
very strange family. What did I want? He's like, I
just came over for a playdate.
Speaker 1 (36:23):
And you got weird.
Speaker 2 (36:24):
Yeah, they totally are. Then Michelle asks her dad if
she can go on his date with him. Danny shakes
his head. No, no dating, that's something you'll do in
your thirties. He walks out of the room, and Michelle
sadly tells her friend, my daddy is always leaving me. Oh,
what's the guilt? That's right, but she's not wrong. For
(36:48):
ten days, he's been on twenty four dates.
Speaker 1 (36:50):
And Michelle, as we know, really needs a lot of focus.
Speaker 2 (36:54):
Spent too much time alone and she needs she needs
some attention. I don't blame her, no at all. Uh So,
Teddy wonders, how come, and Michelle rolls her eyes because
he's the spatula of the month.
Speaker 1 (37:09):
I love that one.
Speaker 2 (37:11):
So cute. Yeah, they don't know what a bachelor is,
they know what a spatula is, so he's a spatulate.
Teddy is obviously confused, so he just nods along and responds,
if you say so. Michelle decides that she's gonna go
on the date with Danny, but they'll have to be
very sneaky. Teddy's eyes go wide as he points to
himself and Michelle and Michelle clarifying uh we and Michelle
(37:36):
grins that's right, you're my date and points to him.
Teddy's eyes go even wider, and Michelle gives him a
little wink. Boy, what are they up to? Stephanie runs
downstairs to tell Joey and dj that Jesse and Becky
are on their way down. She asks if their surprise
dinner is ready. We see that the kitchen table is
(37:58):
decorated with a rose, two candles, and two place settings,
and the table is conveniently turned in a different direction
so we can get a better camera.
Speaker 1 (38:06):
Yes, yes, because it wouldn't be good otherwise. No, no, no, no,
no no, Why would you turn the table because it's
just works better. Don't ask?
Speaker 2 (38:14):
Yeah, because Joel's wick got frustrated trying to.
Speaker 1 (38:20):
No, it's not a cross, and you don't want him
next to each other. They've got it.
Speaker 2 (38:23):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, so it's like, okay, this just don't
ask questions, just do it, don't think too hard about.
Speaker 1 (38:30):
It, don't I don't pull that thread.
Speaker 2 (38:32):
Yeah yeah, this is one of those times. Joey responds
in a French accent, Yes, I made my specialty pork
and beans with a white wine sauce. Then Danny walks
in wearing a suit and tie. He confidently asks his
family guess where I'm going, and they say in Unison
on a date, but he tells them it's not just
(38:55):
any date. He tells them to guess who he's going
on a date with, and they respond in Unison again,
Princess Vicky. In the background, we see Michelle and Teddy
creeping past the kitchen window. Of course, nobody notices the
kids are unattended again, you.
Speaker 1 (39:12):
Know, yeah, I mean the two older ones are probably
driving some sort of a box truck and helping someone
move right now, which is why they're not paying attention
because they I mean, they're in and out, you know
what I mean, the way big movie quick and yeah careers.
He's like, I tucked her in at five pm and
(39:33):
whatever happens after this not my problem.
Speaker 2 (39:36):
Not my problem. So are they insinuating that the kids
crawled down from the second story bedroom window and now
we're walking through the shape shifting backyard to get to
Danny's car.
Speaker 1 (39:51):
I don't know, No, I think they're I think the
bye is they went down the front stairs, out the
front door, and around the back of the house to
the obvious place where you would keep a car, which
is in the backyard of.
Speaker 2 (40:03):
Your house, in the backyard where the cement truck was. Yeah,
we're of.
Speaker 1 (40:07):
Ample room in between buildings in San Francisco to drive
right through there.
Speaker 2 (40:11):
So ah, okay, that makes a lot more sense.
Speaker 1 (40:14):
They were like scaling the you knowing, Yeah, hey, they
like that shot.
Speaker 2 (40:24):
If they were you know, I'm sure if it was
back in nineteen eighty seven, Oh yeah, they could have
put the kids up on the right.
Speaker 1 (40:29):
Down you know what I mean, like drop them down
from a crane. You could have done it with me probably,
but now.
Speaker 2 (40:35):
Not with them, and they're like, no, we have child
labor laws. Rus they've tightened up those child labor laws
by now.
Speaker 3 (40:42):
So yeah, Hi, I'm Terry Hatcher, and you may remember
me as Susan Meyer from Desperate Housewives.
Speaker 6 (40:52):
I'm Andrea Bowen, though you may know me as Terry's
on screen daughter Julie Meyer.
Speaker 5 (40:56):
And I'm Emerson Tuney, Terry's real life daughter.
Speaker 3 (40:59):
And this is Desperately Devoted.
Speaker 6 (41:01):
A rewatch podcast dedicated to the iconic series Desperate Housewives.
Speaker 3 (41:05):

Speaker 6 (41:07):
One of whom is watching the show for the very
first time.
Speaker 2 (41:10):
Yes, that's me Andrea.
Speaker 3 (41:12):
Can you imagine if I had let her watch it
as a six year old.
Speaker 6 (41:16):
We will dive into all the behind the scene stories
of Osteria Lane.
Speaker 5 (41:19):
And look at how the show continues to inform conversations
about relationships, identity, and culture today.
Speaker 3 (41:26):
So, whether you are a diehard fan or you're watching
it Mike Emerson for the very first time, we are.
Speaker 6 (41:32):

Speaker 5 (41:39):
Listen to Desperately Devoted on the iHeartRadio app Apple Podcasts
or wherever you get your podcasts.
Speaker 2 (41:50):
So Danny realizes he told this story to everyone, and
then he says says goodbye. Becky and Jesse walk downstairs
and Stephanie greets them. Ah, the cuts up a party
of two right this way, your table is awaiting. They
quickly realize it's a dinner date, and Jesse asks, you
guys did this for us. Joey responds in his announcer voice,
(42:12):
that's right, Jesse and Rebecca, You've won a night of
free childcare and a romantic dinner for two. Jesse is
unimpressed by the pork and beans, but Joey adds in
his French accent in a white wine sauce, and they
all hit upstairs and turn off the lights, so the
table is candlelight. It's very romantic. Jesse and Becky can't
(42:33):
believe that they have a whole evening to themselves. Jesse declares,
this is our chance to have a nice adult conversation
without talking about the babies. We'll just catch up on
the rest of our lives. Becky asks about his music,
and he asks about her TV show, but they both
can't help but mention the babies.
Speaker 1 (42:53):
That's kind of the biggest news you got going on.
Speaker 2 (42:56):
They have nothing else going on besides diaper changes and laundry,
so yeah, what else are they going to talk about?
Becky can't help but tell him that Nicky sneezed today
and he looked like a bunny. Jesse's sad that he
missed it. They steer away from another baby conversation and
hold hands, ensuring that they will both enjoy themselves tonight.
(43:17):
Up in the nursery, Joey, Stephanie, and Dj are in
the nursery taking care of the twins. One of the
babies needs a diaper change, so they do rock paper
scissors to determine who will be responsible for it.
Speaker 1 (43:29):
Now, this is a silly question. Yeah, but he said
rock scissors paper. I know, does does that timber throw
you off of you know what I mean? It should
be to me, it's always rock paper scissors.
Speaker 2 (43:42):
Rock paper scissors, right, that's the official title rock.
Speaker 1 (43:45):
One, two three.
Speaker 2 (43:47):
Yeah, No, Dave screwed this up, salavels. Dave screwed it
up and the Joel didn't have another take in him.
So that's what this probably was. Rock scissors paper. Nope,
doesn't have the same ring to it, so, of course,
Joey does his Popeye voice while changing the diaper. He
jokingly says he should change his name to poop Eye,
(44:10):
but that was a Dave edition. Then Nikki peas and
it shoots out towards Joey but just misses him. Joey
quickly covers him in size. At least your parents are
having a nice romantic dinner to themselves.
Speaker 1 (44:25):
The quick diaper switch with the boys.
Speaker 2 (44:28):
Oh yeah, with the boys, you gotta be gotta be
gotta be quick or few. It's a fountain. Yep, we smashed.
Cut to the kitchen, we see Becky and Jesse have
fallen asleep at the table while holding hands, which you
know when you're in the throes of newborn hood.
Speaker 1 (44:43):
Yeah, that's all you want.
Speaker 2 (44:44):
Naps take precedence to anything else, just right now. Oh yes.
Over at Danny's date, Danny pulls up to the cheise
Leon and tells his date, I'm excited you agreed to
come here with me. Vicky is going to be a
lot of fun. The prices are high, the portions are small,
(45:04):
and the waiters are snooty. Vicky sarcastically responds, oh, I
can't wait, I hope the chairs are hard. Danny Hans's
car keys to the valet and then they head inside.
I'm trying to figure out where they shot this. Was
it just somewhere on the lot, Like, it doesn't look
like a real restaurant.
Speaker 1 (45:20):
They in the montage scene, they're like walking down stairs
as if they're coming from a forty nine ers game,
which really Yeah, and it's it's literally just an old
building on the Sony lot. Yeah, yeah, I don't know, Like,
just walk down.
Speaker 2 (45:36):
Those stairs, just do something, right.
Speaker 1 (45:38):
Yeah, we'll pretend it's the stadium.
Speaker 2 (45:40):
Just have props, put together a cheiz Leon sign, and
we'll just put it up outside the production office and
turn that into the restaurant. So funny. So in the
car we see that Teddy and Michelle were hiding under
a blanket in the back seat, and Michelle triumphant triumphantly yells,
we did it. Teddy admits I've never been that quiet
(46:02):
in my whole life. Michelle nods in agreement, and they
both scream at the top of their lungs.
Speaker 1 (46:07):
Sometimes you got to do that after you've been quiet
for a while. I get it.
Speaker 2 (46:10):
Oh yeah, you just got to get it out Right
after the screaming, Michelle says, much better, Let's go eat.
Inside the restaurant, Danny greets the host, who tells them
that their table is ready. Danny hands him a one
dollar bill, asking if they can have a booth instead.
The man pockets the money and smiles I'm afraid not.
(46:31):
Then Michelle and Teddy walk in. Michelle reminds him this
is a grown up restaurant. Let's act like grownups. Teddy
holds out his arm and says, this way, my dear,
before escorting her in. It's very cute, you know. I mean,
they're brigin rules, but they're adorable while they're doing it.
Danny and Vicki sit down at their table and the
(46:53):
waiter promptly greets them. Danny suggests the pete to Vicki
and then asks the waiter to tell Frederick bonjour from
Danny Tanner. The man responds, Frederick quit a year and
a half ago, and then he walks away. Vicky sarcastically asks, so, Danny,
do you come here often? And Danny laughs it off
before asking what they should talk about, politics Russian literature.
(47:17):
Vicky happily dives into Russian literature. But Danny just makes
a joke of it. Teddy and Michelle spot Danny from
across the restaurant. Michelle wants to surprise him, but Teddy
points out that there are no chairs for them. They
look at the bigger table, which is a booth directly
in front of them, and decide to sit there. Always
ask I know, it's way more comfortable. Then the waiter
(47:39):
walks up to them and asks who they're here with.
Michelle explains that her dad is on a date, so
the man assumes that they'll be joining them, and he
hands each of them a menu. Michelle shouts out, I'll
start with the happy meal, and Teddy chimes in, I'll
have what she's having, but hold the pickle. Then a
dessert dessert cart stops right in front of them. Michelle gasps,
(48:01):
whoa baby, there's a happy meal. Teddy's eyes light up
and he tells her to grab a fork. They start
eating the desserts directly off the cart, when Michelle, hey,
it's her sugar bit it's like.
Speaker 1 (48:16):
Kryptonite. Yeah, like a cart full of sugar. I can't r.
Speaker 2 (48:20):
A cart full of cakes. Yeah, like this is oh man,
I'd be excited about that. Too. They start eating the
desserts directly off the cart when Michelle realizes Daddy's missing
all the fun, so she calls out to him and waves.
Vicky notices and tells her date, there's a young lady
waving at you, and without turning around, Danny boasts, Oh, yeah,
(48:41):
I know. It's all part of the price I pay
for being Bachelor of the month. I don't want to
make you jealous, so I'm not even gonna look, and
Vicky insists, no, you really ought to look. Danny turns
to see Michelle smiling as she eats her desserts, and
she tells him you really got to try the happy meal.
Danny runs over, stunned and worried, asking how she got there.
(49:04):
Michelle states, in your car. We were hiding in the
back seat. Teddy pipes up, if we're in trouble. It
was her idea and points to Michelle. Danny tells them
they're both in trouble and seats them in the booth.
Vicky hurries over, asking if everything's all right, and Danny
explains that his daughter and her friend stowed away in
his car. He sternly asks Michelle why she did this,
(49:27):
and she responds, because I never see you anymorew ah
Teddy asks, with cake covering his face, is that because
your spatula.
Speaker 1 (49:38):
Of the months so great? I love that?
Speaker 2 (49:41):
This is a great little bit here. I love this.
Danny asks Michelle, how could you say you never see
me anymore? I see you every morning, and I told
you a bedtime story tonight. Michelle argues, before dinner doesn't count.
You don't tuck me in anymore. Danny assures her that
if he's not able to do it, someone else will,
(50:02):
but she insists it isn't the same. He does the
best tug boat. Danny casually tells Vicky she has a point. There,
I do. I do one heck of a toot toot,
and then he turns back to Michelle. That does not
excuse you from leaving the house and sneaking into my car.
Michelle asks, with puppy dog eyes, Am I in trouble?
Speaker 1 (50:26):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (50:27):
You left the house?
Speaker 1 (50:28):
Yeah, you sun into a car.
Speaker 2 (50:31):
Yeah what if the valet would have taken you?
Speaker 1 (50:34):
Can't trouble?
Speaker 2 (50:35):
I love you, but no, you get right? Good thing?
This is sitcom lander. This could have taken a drastic
turn in a different direction. Right, Yeah, Danny lets out
a sigh, admitting it's not all her fault. He should
have talked to her about this whole dating thing before
he started going out every night, or he should have
slowed down, you know, like every other night.
Speaker 1 (50:58):
Been like seeing three women at date. Danny, there's a
there is a there's a relaxed way to do this.
You know, it's entirely kind of your fault, dude, Like,
it's not you know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (51:11):
Like you yeah, yeah, like, yes, was Michelle wrong for
sneaking out?
Speaker 1 (51:16):
Keep sneaking in the car? That's they did help Danny.
Speaker 2 (51:19):
He yes, he should have had this four thoughts a
long time ago.
Speaker 1 (51:23):
He probably doesn't. I mean, when what is he ever
going to see? Get twenty four dates with in ten days?
You know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (51:29):
True? Yeah, this is true. He's good. He's trying to
capitalize on this. Uh So, he lovingly says, I know
how important it is that I tuck you in. It's
important to me too. I love our special time together.
Danny decides to make a special date tomorrow night at
her bedtime to tuck her in. Michelle happily says it's
a date, and they both say, I love you before
(51:51):
giving each other a big hug. Vicky has a huge
smile on her face, and she suggests, well, since we're
all here, why don't we make this a double date.
Danny likes the idea, but first he excuses himself from
the table so he can call home and tell them
the kids are all right, good, good, good addition.
Speaker 1 (52:11):
Otherwise, someone's got to be looking for them, right, I
mean maybe not.
Speaker 2 (52:18):
Yes, the house tends to not notice what, you know.
Speaker 1 (52:25):
I mean they come back. But yeah, right.
Speaker 2 (52:27):
Right, Danny's doing the responsible thing, is a dad. He's
informing the other caregivers while he's gone. Vicky grabs another
dessert from the cart and hands it to Michelle. She asks,
this is okay with your dad, right, and Michelle nods right,
of course. Gotta have her, gotta have her sugar. Next,
in the living room, Vicky, Michelle, and Danny walk in
(52:49):
and Vicky admits I had a great time. Michelle, I
hope we double date again soon.
Speaker 1 (52:54):
Did they make Teddy walko?
Speaker 2 (52:56):
You think, Oh, yeah, well I know it's I wouldn't
surprise me. No, he surprises me. Send them a cap door.
Speaker 1 (53:06):
I was already in the vaccat that's fine.
Speaker 2 (53:08):
It's all he's self reliant. He'll be fine, so Michelle responds,
tomorrow's good for me, and Danny tells his daughter that
they'll go over her social calendar. When he comes upstairs
to tuck her in, she smiles, I'll be waiting with
the tugboat book, and Danny responds with at. Michelle looks
(53:28):
at Vicky and says he's still got it before running upstairs.
Then Danny apologizes to Vicky, telling her it wasn't the
scintillating evening he was hoping for, and Vicky admits, actually
it was fun. I hope you don't mind if I
tell our viewers that you are a terrific dad. Danny
thinks her and then confesses he got carried away with
(53:50):
all these women wanting to go out with him. He
admits the truth is I'm not really a super stud bachelor,
and Vicky responds, somehow I knew that and gives him
a smile. Danny says, you know, I'm just looking for
somebody special, and Vicky nods, I know what you mean.
I'm going through the same thing. Danny is surprised by that,
(54:11):
but he says good night and goes to walk her out,
but then they lock eyes and stare at each other
for a moment before kissing. Michelle's watching from upstairs, and
she lets out ooh, and Danny awkwardly says, I'll be
right up, honey, and Michelle does another toot toot and
runs to her room. Danny opens the door for Vicky,
(54:34):
saying I'll see you at work tomorrow. Good night. He
shuts the door and runs his hands through his hair,
once more, feeling extra good about himself right now. And
that is our show. This was a cute little episode.
Speaker 1 (54:52):
Yeah, this was cute. Uh not one of my favorites.
Speaker 2 (54:55):
Yeah's top ten.
Speaker 1 (54:57):
But I like it for the Danny Vicky.
Speaker 2 (55:01):
Oh yeah, this is the beginning. This the first kiss.
This is the beginning of a much loved relationship that
fans are still shipping all these decades later. If you
guys haven't heard our interview with Gail Edwards, please head
back a few episodes, a few weeks and two parter.
Yeah she's great. She still has that great hair.
Speaker 1 (55:22):
So jealous.
Speaker 2 (55:23):
Yeah, great hair, great skin, egg.
Speaker 1 (55:25):
And just lovely, super sweet, really fun. Yeah. She was
such a great balance to Danny.
Speaker 2 (55:31):
You know, she really was. You know, I see what
the fans see in this relationship. I kind of agree
with them. I wish Danny and VICKI had been endgame,
but I know didn't happen. What didn't happen?
Speaker 1 (55:44):
Full well, that won't happen.
Speaker 2 (55:48):
Well maybe Yeah.
Speaker 1 (55:50):
Anyway, Wow, that took a dark turn.
Speaker 2 (55:53):
Did you have any everywhere your looks?
Speaker 1 (55:55):
So? I did not? I did not have any.
Speaker 2 (55:59):
I one. Maybe I'm not sure about it. Okay. In
the Danny montage, we're seeing all of Danny different dates.
At the end, he's dipping a girl in a slow dance,
and I believe the girl he first dips it looks
like Debbie Gregory. Is it a Debbie or was it dates?
Speaker 1 (56:18):
I think they were five Thenbie, it was not a thing.
Speaker 2 (56:21):
I feel like they'd broken up by season five. So
maybe this is just another girl that looks like all
the other girls.
Speaker 1 (56:28):
I mean, I mean, who knows.
Speaker 2 (56:32):
I don't know if anyone recognizes any of these people,
any of these uncredited women. Yeah, and not many of
them get credits in the In the.
Speaker 1 (56:44):
Guest Stars, if you talk or Jog or brolerblade, that's it.
Speaker 2 (56:48):
You have to have a special talent, you have to
have a special talent or a line and then you
got a credit.
Speaker 1 (56:53):
No, I didn't have any other. Everywhere you look, moments.
Speaker 2 (56:57):
Light on everywhere he looks, Yea, there's just lots lots
of babies.
Speaker 1 (57:01):
D I mean, I feel like I was. This was
one of those episodes. I'm like, I don't even remember
this because I was like hardly in it. It was
a very you know, it was all sort of Danny
and and then the babies were B story.
Speaker 2 (57:11):
Right, you were the b story of the b story. Yeah, yeah,
you were light week for you. Definitely a light week
for me. I just brought in the magazine. But yeah, no,
I like it just for the Danny VICKI part of it,
the Danny Vicky origin story.
Speaker 1 (57:25):
Yeah, because some of it doesn't feel like Danny's behavior.
But again, like we said, he's just he's.
Speaker 2 (57:30):
He does not act, he doesn't know, he's had no
game for most of his life, and he doesn't know,
doesn't know how to act around women. But you know,
he got his chance to shine.
Speaker 1 (57:39):
It's true he did, and thank goodness, and I love
Vicky for giving him a hard time first. That was
you had to earn it a little bit kind of
like kind of like Jesse and Becky. I like it.
You can't. You know. These women are like, don't play
with me. I'm not taking I'm not here for this.
And it's great.
Speaker 2 (57:55):
These women are great role models for early nineties especially.
It's like, yeah, just they don't take any crap. They
put the men in their place. Yeah, these are strong
role models for girls out there.
Speaker 1 (58:06):
Way to go for a strong female journalists. Let's go. Yeah,
Vicky's winning Emmy's you know, I mean, come on.
Speaker 2 (58:14):
You go, girl. I love this. Well done, full house.
Speaker 1 (58:17):
Well done full house? And uh and dare I say
well done us? Because we got through the episode. I
did not sneeze only once I had to turn my
camera off.
Speaker 2 (58:28):
Is that When you turned I.
Speaker 1 (58:30):
Was like, no one needs to see this.
Speaker 2 (58:32):
I figured, yeah, but it's been.
Speaker 1 (58:33):
Great, We've done it. I'm so excited to see where
the Vicky stuff goes next because I know it's kind
of a slow a little bit of a slow.
Speaker 2 (58:41):
Birth, isn't it slow? Isn't a slow build? I think
it's a slow build. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (58:45):
I'm not sure, but I don't remember. Our next episode
is easy writer, so I don't know what that has
to do. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (58:52):
I see all the fans listening right now are like, oh,
I know that, were like, what's that?
Speaker 5 (58:57):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (58:57):
Is that what? I don't know what happened.

the house is full of dirty diapers. It's just full
of them. Now, there's two babies and that's that's it.
