Speaker 1 (00:01):
This is how they're back now with me Holland Rowden
and I Hunt radio podcast. There's always a fart joke
right before action, and today we have Tyler Posey on
this podcast, so I feel like he should be in
showing this and not me. Very fitting, Yes, very fitting.
Even in my thirties. I try to maintain the constant

(00:23):
level of fart jokes. I love that on teen Wolf,
like right before action and way even before action, everything
was lighthearted, Like, oh, the material is so heavy on
teen Wolf. I'm like, no, it's not, it's really not ever. Yeah, well,
the material is so heavy that I feel like we
have to kind of counterbalance. Yeah, exactly. And I think
the crew appreciates that hours can get grueling. But if

(00:45):
you know this, I mean I heard from other crew
members on other shows that Teen Wolf was one of
the most fun shows to work on, most fun and
grueling and grueling, but but people kept coming back because
they had fun laughing with us. Yes, and we make
we don't take ourselves too seriously and that's because of
you and dealing. Yeah, dude, I mean, no, you, everybody, everybody,
we all feel we all fit the carefree attitude, but

(01:06):
welcome to Hallard back, now this is our podcast, the team.
Will I feel awkward introducing the teen Wolf to the
teen Wolf podcast, but it come to that point it's cool. Yeah,
you like get very proud of you. It's very professional looking.
I'm like, I'm shocked, not shocked, because like everyone says that,
every single person. I mean, not in a bad way
or you know, not that. I'm not shocked, but it's

(01:28):
a trip. It's proud of you. I'm so proud. I
think it's so cool. We sorry every podcast with a
goodie bag. Oh what, Yeah, you're joking. Yeah, I'm not joking.
In the last two things were from seven to eleven
and with with Colton has three items let me get
let me guess. Colton's oh this is sour gummies, no
sour gum dropped, no, okay, savory and a drink I

(01:52):
don't know, I've lost It was to Rito's cool and
he guessed all three correctly. He's like, I bet you
got cool. Rance. Toritos was like check, He's like red
bull to check. And there was one more item and
I actually forget what item. It was pretty guessed it.
And then Shelley was on and she gets Celsius check
and then she was like, oh, you got me a
triangle sandwich tuna fish, and she was correct, you're joking. Yeah,

(02:13):
I know. Yeah, So I think I know you. You
just well, you know, in the food department. I'm paying
attention to everybody. Yeah, you're right. Yeah, So you and
I have had this conversation many times. I think it's
you and me. Maybe Dylan was included in this that
has a love for this sandwich establishment, but I got you.
Oh my god, I'm so excited. What sandwich sandwich place?

(02:37):
Did we talk about? A ton a chain? I'll give
you that hint a chain? How long we talk about this?
So many times? But how long ago? I would say
like early on it was probably like season I think
it was la So maybe season three that we just
we discovered that we both like this, We like the
same type of sandwich at this particular establishment. So can

(02:58):
you name the restaurantsan sandwich? SHOT's not Jersey Mikes? Yes
it is Jersey Mikes. Yeah, as I no dumber everything.
We have a can you guess the Okay, this is
where I might I might get this wrong. What sandwich
do you get it? Jersey number seven? No? It's been

(03:19):
a long time I've experienced. And so is it the Italian? Yes, okay,
well that's that's yes, that's and now we even discussed
the ways we even get to it. It's got some
way to it. It's like a newborn baby. Yep, yep.
And then I got you a particular kind of chippy?
What kind of chippy? And I might not get this right,
so at least I got Jersey mix right. Yeah? What
kind of chippy would I get you? I mean, I mean,

(03:40):
like like a trash chippy, not not not? Oh damn it.
You know it's okay. I mean I love it all
one it was. I'm a tough one for you. Go
a lot of different angle. I love all of it.
I like the voodoos you do? Oh my god, why
am I memorying these? Now? What kind of spicy would
I get you? I was gonna get you hollipay, now
diferent I got I was. This is even better. And

(04:02):
then I love flaming hot Cheetos, and my girl, thank
you so much. In Coca Cola. We can put it
in the goodie bag. You don't have to do cansum
all of this. Now, this is not a muck Bang
podcast could have become one. I just learned what that was.
It's not crazy and for some reason I clicked on
one video and now they just target me if I'm
randomly scrolling. If you haven't purchased a muck Bang, you

(04:23):
should purchase Muckbang. I get all these people eating these
and some of the food I don't even know what
it is. I'm so happy he guessed Jersey Mike's this
is I knew you would, thank you and okay, you
know me so well. So I did mayo, mustard, cherry poppers, um,
grilled onions. Was it called cherry relish cherry poppers something?
That's probably something different. Um, so yeah, we we always

(04:46):
like to have goodie bags. Think that's so cute and
very sweet and thoughtful. And well, hopefully you like the
combo because you know there's a million like that. What
the sandwich, the mayo and the mustard and the relish pink?
What are you saying? Pinions? Um? I don't know if
you saw, but while we were filming the movie, yeah,

(05:07):
the Team Wolf, the movie. All my guests will bring
me back to the actual topic of about it. Dude,
I love it. This is how this is how I
do it. I love it. I don't know if you remember.
I had a podcast for a long time, but it
was just it was just in my house and me
and Tyler Schnabel, remember my standing. He and I had
a podcast for a little while. Well, I actually remembered this.
Now I was never on it, no one was. It
was literally just one if. But on the movie I

(05:31):
started doing this thing behind the scenes with the you know,
our lovely social media crew where I would do unwrapped
with Tyler Posey, which was me opening whatever food was
in front of me and just going into detail, explicit
detail of the intricacies of how I I think I
saw one of these and they were brilliant. There was
one that I just posted, I reposted from from MTV

(05:52):
or teams. One was that I didn't see that one
remu talking about a Jimmy John sandwich which holds no torch.
To my my brother in college was like on the
Jimmy John bikes and I love their free smells advertising,
but it does not hold a candle to Jersey Mike.
Absolutely their bread. It's the bread is the issue is

(06:13):
the bread for me. And it's also I love how
thin they slice the jersey Mike's ones. Oh yeah, it's
real classic. They like wiggle that turkey like so beautifully
on there, and then like the grill gelatinous turkey. It's
so good and you never get like a snarky bite,
you know, they're all like, there's no gristle. It's always
just very smooth because of that shave. Sometimes I get
the hot sandwiches too, like chee steak. I literally was like, fu,

(06:37):
do I get him a cheese steak sub? Because posy,
posy will go in a lot of different directions. You
and I are tough to get food for because we
love it. We love it all that is true. I
wouldn't know what Shelly's up there too. Shelley's Shelley will eat,
she won't eat sweet. Did you get her catch up?
I should have gotten her. Also, there are ketchup for

(06:58):
a belated birthday press and I should take her to
the Hindset Factory. Oh that's a fun one, Okay, Yeah, yeah,
that would be a good idea. That would be really
fun to do that. Yeah, Like, out of anybody, that's
the only thing I really know. She likes catch up,
She loves and she loves sitting on street corners. Have
you noticed this? What do you mean? No, like curbs,

(07:19):
like like her favorite combo place is like out on
the curb. Like she loves walking places and sitting on curbs.
Maybe I have noticed that. Yeah, she's always just like
in flux with Shell. It's very funny because she's from
the streets. She's from the Susiana streets. She's hilarious. Can't
take Louisiana. We're very happy that Shelley joined us. It's

(07:39):
she's like, I know, I know, she'd do a group one.
At one point, we would never get anything, nothing done,
nothing done. I was telling Posy before we started recording,
I was like, well, we weren't really doing the actual
rewatch yet. So we just riffed for an hour and
somehow we were able to do it. Um and he's like,
yeah that no, that that that tracks. So are we
watching the pilot role? So we're not gonna watch it,
but I'm gonna bring you through it. Okay, First we

(08:01):
have to discuss without spoilers. Since this is only a
week after the movie, we can't give anything away for
those sure of course, mediocre team will fans that have
waited seven days to watch it. Get with the program, Um,
how is the premiere? Last night? We got to see
each other. But it's crazy, we haven't really talked about
it yet, Like it's Nuttiman, I'm really proud. Colton left
me an audio this morning and he was like, we
have so much to discuss everything with Colti, we always

(08:25):
like debrief. We'll debrief lunch, like we'll be We'll debrief anything.
Want to be a fly on the wall for those
so bad come and join the conversation, you know, like
out of anybody's relationship on this show, like I've you know,
we've we have we all have beauty, we all have.
You and Colton are just like wacky, just beautiful. So
you guys are so fun. I didn't expect us to

(08:47):
be so quirky in the movie. That is something that
scars me. Like we're just like tweedled and tweeled over there.
It's so cool. I'm super impressed with everybody's work, Like,
I'm so happy, so proud. Can we talk about Vince? Yeah,
this is great. Oh my god, he's incredible. He was
his physical it's almost like the little styles literally was

(09:07):
literally yes. I was like, he's almost like a little Dylan, Like, damn,
that was amazing. Yeah, he's great. So because I hadn't,
I was only in a couple of scenes with events
and so um and I thought he and Hecklin's relationship
in the movie was really cute too. Is a great dad.
He's such a phantom dad because he's not a real dad. Right,
it's so weird that nobody he's so he's so good

(09:29):
at it, he's so like loving and there's just I
don't want us to give any spoilers, but this one
moment where Hecklin Derek it's really excited about Eli doing
something Wolfie and he's and they're like in like danger,
but Hecklin stops it, gets distracted from the danger and
it's like, you did it. I'm so happy for you.
And it's like the cutest, most sincere. I just I

(09:51):
loved it. I'm I'm so impressed by how everybody portrayed
their characters fifteen years later, so so so true. It's
really get there's nudity, there is there's nudity. Did you
know we're rated at m A not even are what
my friend told me that he could be wrong, We're
not MMA might just be an idiot. But he there's

(10:12):
no way we're m A well. I think I heard
that streaming as pushed it to the m A exactly
great though, it's great. Great, we all have we all
have great but christ we might all have good butts
except for Kylan Ramboa. But he's he has one of
my favorite names on Earth, Kyl and Rambo. Yeah, I

(10:33):
should have his parents on the podcast is to talk
about how the came up with his name. I love him.
The power of this podcast, man, you know him ask
so many questions and so now I just get to
ask questions for a living fun right, I love it.
It's really exciting. But yeah, I'm so proud. I'm proud
of you. You killed it, you didn't. You're always, you
know what, out of anybody I think on the cast,
you're the most reliable just to just to bring it.

(10:55):
Really I think. I mean, I think you and JR. Oh,
you're so sweet three Honestly, I feel like we're always
going to be reliable to just bring it all the time.
You're so sweets. We missed JR. And we missed Heckling
at the premiere. Yeah, I always love them that we're
gonna have to catch up with them soon. But we
did such a good job. It was great, I mean

(11:16):
really impressed. Two and a half hours which I was
away feel like, but it didn't feel like. It does
not get boring the entire It's a whole, It's a
ride the entire time. Hundo Colton said, I can't say
Hundo pe either, but I think he hates when I
say it. It really creeps him out, but it is.
It did shock me a little bit when you when

(11:36):
you said, I just long is the same person is
when we start a T will fix she says. None
of us approved. M Charlie Carver too, is killing it,
killing it. He wrote some of the American Horror Story.
I was watching American Horror Story and I was like,
there's my boy, and all of a sudden, I was like,
in the credits he wrote this, Yeah, so proud of surprise.

(11:59):
He wrote it is both of them are geniuses. They're
so funny, except you can't play monopoly with the with
the Carver brothers, it ended really poorly. Um Ian joined
us for a Thanksgiving because he was nearby up in
Northern California, and Charlie he was using certain characters and

(12:22):
voices and Max started making fun of his accents and characters,
and also, oh, Daniel Charman was there and he was
doing dirty deals that he shouldn't have been doing outside
of the monopoly rules. So it ended with Charlie spitting
wine and Max's face, who is sober, and then screaming

(12:43):
at each other, and then Charlie takes the monopoly board
and flips it up in the air, and another participant
it was just taw Ian and I were just in shock.
Daniel had egged it on a lot with being the
dirty dealer, and Max was making dirty deals with Daniel
and they were winning as a result of it, and
so um it came up at a convention once and

(13:06):
um somebody made them like a pretend monopoly thing, and
Ian dead dead serious was like, I will never play
monopoly game with those boys. Never. I will never. It's
like a source. I mean, I wouldn't either. I was thanksgiving, dude.
I was literally speechless listening to this story. It was crazy.
I believe it too. I've seen them arguing it'll be funny,
but it's like they got so into monopoly. He got

(13:29):
so intense. Ian couldn't believe that. Dan's like, what do
you do. What is what is happening? Oh my god,
I couldn't even imagine in Ian Bowen and I love
to play games. He loves Liar's dice. Yeah, I've never
played games with you guys before. Well, I'm gonna have
a Mafia Nights soon. You gotta come up. I just
did that for the first time. Isn't it great? Well?
I actually no, I don't know if I did Mafia.
I did a murder mystery game. Is the same thing,

(13:51):
maybe may aim No, because you sat in a circle.
Murder mysteries probably give you know characters. Yeah, who done it? Yeah? No, no, different, different, different. Yeah. Okay,
So to stay on top because that's my goal on
this job. Is uh. Premiere was great? Any regrets? Oh
absolutely not. No, it was lovely. No, it was. I
recorded your intro so I'll send it to you. Oh. Thanks,

(14:13):
did this beautiful intro? He and Jeff? Yeah that was
fun and really I was it was it? Just? Yeah?
Everything that just felt perfect. Honestly, I wasn't stressed, I
wasn't anxious. I was excited to see the movie. I
didn't have any expectations. I'd seen it before, but with
an audience you never really know. I was just going
to go into it with the people that I loved
surrounding you. You hadn't seen it before I did. You
did see it before I did see it. Yeah, it's
got a little screener of it. Um, so I saw it,
but not in this capacity with people, and you know,

(14:37):
everyone that I loved was around me, including you, And
so I was just in a happy place to start with.
And then did you like your seat placement? Because it
was like three fourth back. I was two rods in
front of you. I didn't mind it. You didn't mind it?
Are you do you? Are you a set of the
back kind of person? I am? I have no no
strategy when it goes to movies. Really, you'll sit anywhere
I'll sit on the aisle. Oh oh, Vin's had that

(14:57):
funny line about his eyes. Oh yes, that was so funny.
Did you see your eyes? How could I see my eyes?
And the things I'm supposed to see with it? Is
so good, such a funny worded line. It was lovely.
Um yeah, I don't without giving spoilers check it out
and it was just definitely a night I will remember
for the rest of my life. And I think it

(15:17):
did it justice. You know, we have a really intense
legacy that we've left behind, and I think we did
have a good job. Jeff put a lot of aspects
into this script. Yeah, I mean so many worlds. The
flashbacks were used just enough, but not so much that
I got super cheesy, like it was just a scrap
book enough to give you chills in one and we
I totally had to like choke myself, like stop choke myself,

(15:40):
stopped myself from choking up and crying. I was choking myself,
choking myself, like blacking out the whole time. But I
think it was like watching a home video of how
much we had aged. Yeah, and people that had, you know,
have just come to know us in the last couple
of years. It's like you go back to those flashbacks,
it's like, wait, you've been doing the show for that long? Really? Yeah,

(16:02):
And it looks like it too, because like it doesn't.
It doesn't feel like we've aged that much. When we
see me now and you now when we were back then,
it's like Jesus Hecklin, even Dude Hecklin looks like he
looked we thought he looked old back then, but he
looks like a baby had a little jock. He looks
like a seventeen year old jock, Isn't it weird? It's
a trip. It's such a trip, That's what I think.
One of my favorite parts was just seeing how much

(16:23):
we had aged throughout the years and yeah, like you said,
we didn't feel like we had and then you see
that and you're like, oh, no, we totally have. Yeah,
so that's that was super fun. Yeah, I'm very proud
of it. I've never been this proud everything. I think
for me too, like watching it, it's the best work
I think I've ever done. Dude, you were You had
so much heart and like leadership throughout the movie, which

(16:44):
is exactly obviously what your character should have, and it
was I was really proud. I was like, God, he's
carrying this whole movie. It was so fun. Man, it
was so fun the whole time and you getting it Like,
not to give too much away, this is not a spoiler,
but you know, I think it's established from the trailer,
like trying to convince someone, trying to convince someone, trying
to convince someone that how could you not remember? Right?
And so it was done really convincingly. Thanks it was

(17:06):
so fun. It was so fun. I had such a
good time on it. The only the only gripe Jeff
Davis has so it was was the theater we watched
it in. It just needed to have better sound. Yeah.
I saw him getting up in the middle of Yeah.
He said he tried to stay he couldn't. I will
say there was like three lines in there. I was like,
I should have ad ard that I can't understand what
I'm saying. And then sure enough it made me feel
a little better because my boyfriend and Jeff are theater nerds,

(17:30):
and now I've become a theater nerd where I will
look up the size of the theater, the kind of
speakers they have, where you should sit in, what rows
should We went to Avatar, and you should Avatar was
made to see. It is certain, because it's certain. They
called them limax theaters, like it's not true. They're not
real imax theaters, and the and the real imax theater
is apparently Chinese theater, which some might argue it's a

(17:53):
limax because it's not the exactly it's a it's a
wider dimension than it should be. But he I think
we made it for this exact screen and he certain
kind of laser projection the rose you should should sit in,
and it was really cute. Um, Jeff and I were
figuring out there were both theater nerds last night, different
kind of kind of theater nerds, high school theater, an

(18:14):
audience theater. Yeah, a theater seat nerd. Um. So, I
you know, I wish, I wish. That's my only regret
was the sound, just for Jof's sake. Yeah, yeah, interesting.
I didn't really acknowledge it too much. I was pretty
you know, you were in it and all of your
lines were in incredibly audible. And then I had, you know,
I had my whole family with me, and they were

(18:34):
I would just gotten representing man. Yeah, it was so fun. Yeah,
just see my dad. So I had my dad and
my brother in the movie and just sharing that with them,
Like how cool is that my dad introduced me to
this career when I was six years old, and just
to be able to relax and be like, Okay, I
did I made the right choice as a father, you know,
and and then I get to pay it forward by
bringing him in the movie. And it's just it's the

(18:55):
greatest thing in the world. I mean, it's it's just
And then Rohan was working on the movie. Yeah, yeah,
watch on the movie second UNDP badass. I remember every
single shot that he did. Oh you're so sweet. I
would like win my head. I wanted to scream at him.
Wait wait, wait, wait wait did you want to scream it
him when the first time where we had the drone
pulling away from you and oh, that's right. I wanted

(19:15):
to be like roll but nobody would have understood that.
It was so Oh you should have wanted to Oh
my god. I can't wait to tell him that. It
was so fun watching I love you. I love him,
He's great. It was so fun watching the movie with
everybody because like every time somebody's face would first pop
on screen, we would go yeah, yeah, yeah, it was
really cute. I'd look at him and like that is

(19:36):
that he would just do this like oh we have
cameras now wins wins and oh did you should have
yelled Roll home? I should have. I would have died.
He would have died. I can't wait on that story.
Um yeah, he did a lot of like this, like
sideways die shot he did any Um, there's a car
crash in the movie. He does like a whip around
the bird's eye view of an ony fight. Awesome. None

(19:57):
of this has given us in any way. People don't
worry you all know um already yeah yeah, trailers yeah, um.
But but he's just all his shots like it's cool
to be the second DP, and like you know what
that shot is. You know we deserved that at this point.
You know, like we're gonna do the movie and teen
Wolf and the show Justice. You know, anybody we bring
and involve, oh, he's going to be upping the value

(20:18):
of it. So like the fact that we got to
have the luxury of bringing on my family, you bringing
on Rohane. They could bring it though, like I was,
and then they brought exactly like you got to work
with my brother did I was like I got to
worry Jesse. So the thing crazy thing is is like
you know we would never recommend I mean we can't,
you know the NEPO baby. Yes, we know this conversation.
And none of us are Neppo babies actually netism baby,

(20:42):
which is UM. So like if your parents had a
lot of clouds and power, right, none of us are no,
and none of us are Our kids are going to
be the UM hopefully. Um, but uh, you know, I
think I think it's a controversial topic. Um that I
I will just plead the fifth on because I think
there is pros and cons to the NEPO baby situation. Um.

(21:02):
But what I love is that, like anybody we did recommend,
it was like they seamlessly fit and we're more than
qualified and good taste. We've got good taste and the
people around us are just talent absolutely so yeah. So
I'm I'm so happy we get to like chat about
the polot on the podcast. So cool. I want to
do this every day with you, dude, Come on, so fun?
Is it fun? I want to be your weekly co host.

(21:22):
Come on, dude, It's like I want to do this.
I'm gonna do this. Are the whole cast, it's just shooting, yeah,
radio show. We need the group. So fun. When you
think of team of pilot, like, what's the first thing

(21:43):
that comes to mind? Yeah, so for some reason, right now,
right now, yes, right now, I think of the scene.
So there were two versions of the pilot kind of
we went and all shot half of the pilot first,
and that is always the thing that comes to mind.
Pilot presentation, pilot presentation, I don't remember this when we
when we got picked up for the full season. I
don't remember shooting the second half of the pilot. I

(22:03):
don't know why. I just died. I think did we
like block shoot it with like episode two? I think
we actually, I think we were blocked shooting four episodes
at one time at one point. But that wasn't during
the pilot. That wasn't during the season one though, Yeah,
I guess, I guess you're right. It was like later
seasons that we block shot in La right, No, no,
we did. We did in Atlanta, definitely did. So. The
thing that comes to mind is the moment I start

(22:25):
turning into a werewolf on the dance floor at the
your right? Is it Lydia's party? Is it the formal?
Or is it my house? No? No No, it's your house?
Is it your is? Was it Lydia's house? That was
in season one? See I'm saying so, I'm saying it
was the pilot? Is that was the pilot? Yeah? Because
I turned into a warwolf from the pilot, but not
at my party. That was like season that was like
episode two or three with the gift. But but the
day that I turned in the night that I turned
into the Warrewolf. Was that my Allison are on a

(22:47):
dance floor in someone's back, Yes, yes, yes, Um, that's
that's what I think of. That's your that when you
think of the pilot, that's what you think of right
now at least. Oh interesting. I don't know why that
shot came to me and what was really funny. Maybe
it's because I'm a little self conscious of that because
when I was when I was doing it, when I
was doing the changing, and it was the first time

(23:08):
I had done that on camera. And then I remember
I like, we said, it's not weird. We said, we
said cut. And I went over there to like everyone
who was hanging out, and I remember Tyler and Dillon
were like laughing, and so I was I was like
self conscious about Oh, honey, that's what you first thought of.
Maybe I'm I'm trying to connect the dog. Just why
that that memory came to me? First? I might, I might,
I'm not. I don't feel that way anymore. No, the

(23:29):
finessing of the growls and the and the turns and um,
you know, there's an art to it. But yeah, so
for some reason, that's what that's what comes to my head,
the whole, the whole presentation. The presentation was wild. Um,
Colton Haynes was like, can I remind it we were
not talking about even Team Wolf. I don't think at
that moment. He was like, can I remind everyone that, Um,
I was a guest star? I was a guest star
on Team Wolf the first pilot because we both were

(23:51):
we weren't series regulars, right yeah. And then they and
then like we got all Colton that I would do
is go home and talk about it. We were going
to get upper into regulars. And we're like, we're the
bastardised shoulder and of this of this cast. Are we
gonna get our upgrade? And and like it was only
took like a whole four days, and and Jeff pulled
us aside and was like he pulled Colton aside first,

(24:11):
And I was like, I'm gonna be the only one
and and and then I got the call or not
the call to talk um that that he was going
to up us to regular. It was cool. It was
a really cool experience. My first experience from me was
wearing a bandaged knockoff earl lerjere if that's Lejay dress um,

(24:32):
maybe these like popular dresses in like the mid two thousands,
and I decided wearing that with like tights and platform
like heating an outfit that does not that. That was
my um. That was my audition outfit and why I
was in heels for the rest of my life on
the show. UM And so that's like I really think

(24:53):
of my audition outfit when I think of the what
was your audition for the for team? You remember? Yeah? Well,
I mean which one the scenes or any of them?
The scenes were the scene where Alison comes to the
shelter and I'm wrapping up the dog that she hit
and I take the eyelash off her. Ryots that scene.
It was a scene with Derek where I think, I say,

(25:14):
you you, you did you did this to me? You
turned to me too, if you did this to me?
And I think it was a scene with Styles where
we go and look for the dead body maybe or no,
no, no no, no, no. I can't remember. I remember, but
I remember what I was wearing. I remember I was
wearing a Hurly, you know, the surf brand, skateboard brand hoodie.
And I remember I saw Dylan was wearing a DVS

(25:35):
T shirt, which is a skateboard brand, and do you
want to hang out? Was this an y'all's audition together?
That you both the audition test? Yeah, was like yeah, yeah,
sure yeah. It was like you want to smoke some weed?
And he's like, oh yeah, sure dude. And then did
y'all hang out like that afternoon? Uh? Well, we we
all hung out because we were waiting for our deals

(25:57):
to get done, so we had hours with each other.
Funclan was there, Crystal was there, and the other people
that were reading for Derek styles. No, and so how
many Scotts? Does just one each? Or two? Two each?
It was me, this other kid, Tyler, Hecklan, someone else,
and then Dylan and someone else. Did you keep in
touch with the other three? No? No? Did you talk

(26:18):
to their Scott? Did y'all like yeah, you're a friendly guy.
We talked to him. Yeah, yeah, of course. And then
like like did you acted every combo happened? Like? Did you?
I acted with both Derek's? I acted with both styles
is but there was only one Allison right, Crystal? So
was the other? What was the their styles? Like? I
remember he was tall and had curly hair like like
like almost an afro. Wow? Was he funny? I think

(26:42):
so like, did you have fun with like, were you
like did they ask you like, who do you who?
Do you like? You know? Did did you feel like
you're in more chemistry with Dylan? Yeah? Tyler and Dylan,
So you knew in your brain and I saw Dylan
we hit it off. It was it was, it was.
It was definitely a start. It wasn't meant to be
and so do you So in your brain you're like, Okay,
if they go with me, they've got to go with

(27:02):
Tyler and Dillon. Then I was hoping. So at the
very end of the pilot, at the end of the auditions,
U me, Tyler, and Dillon were hanging out and talking.
Everybody else left, and Tyler and Dillon and I were like,
already just buddy, b no way, yeah, everyone else left.
Everyone else left, and then Russell comes out of the
of the room and is looking at us and then
takes a picture of us on his phone, and we
looked at each other and we're like that a good sign. Oh,
and he gets so giggly like Russell, it's just like

(27:27):
that's it was cute. Yeah, it was, it was where's
that picture? Yeah, you're right, Oh, gotta ask Russell must
have us somewhere. But it was fate. It was meant
to be. That's nuts, man. It was something really special
happened when the casting of teen Wolf went on. It
really did. It really did. Some universe planets were aligned,
and yeah, perfect storm when we got there. I when

(27:50):
we stayed at the Artmore Hotel in Atlanta, and I
just turned out there by the way. I know, I
looked it up, drove past it. Try to think. I
think I might have drove near the museum, the Modern
Arts Museum. Oh, I've never been to that in Atlanta. Dude,
it's awesome. Oh, you would have loved it. I'll go.
I should have taken you. I'll go a few times.
My friend Jessica still lives there. I'll go. It's so cool. Um.

(28:12):
Oh gosh, wow. I don't think I ever knew that
story about the test. So Tyler Hecklan and I went
on a blind date you know this before college. M sorry,
in college, and then he got this show, teen Wolf.
We all kind of knew it in our friend group
and they were still auditioning Lydia's I auditioned in November
of two thousand and nine for Crystals Part yeah, and

(28:33):
they're like, we'll bring you back for their characters like yea, yeah, yeah,
you know how those things go. Was going to read
for Scott and he was like, I like Styles better.
I think I knew that too. Yeah. Yeah. For those
of you, what would team will have been if Dylan
was Styles and I mean see Dylan was Scott in
your styles? Wow? Would have been different? That is a
different shottle Man. Is that funny? Yeah? I know it's great.

(28:54):
I love I want to see that. I want to
see that will never happen. Oh, you guys could do
a skit love Dylan would totally Yeah, Dylan doing a
funny or dice skit. That doesn't sound like him at all.
He's done a few, I know, That's what I'm saying.
He's like, he's like, he's like Gorilla sketched master Um
on Instagram. He's made some funny he made that What

(29:15):
was that one that Andrew Garfield one social network? Yeah
that was funny. It wasn't but it was kind of
it was kind of scary. It was it was good
like it wasn't. It wasn't. It wasn't a shooking, It
wasn't a spoof. You no, No, Dylan when he commits,
it's like a hundred pea, We're good in there, Hallofi.
So we opened up with, uh, there's cops and dogs

(29:38):
are searching in the woods for something. Do you do
you remember the first scene you shot? The first thing
scene that we shot for the pilot presentation. Um was lacrosse.
It was lacrosse. Lacrosse Okay, So we were in the
stands that day then I think that was the first
It was freezing out, reasoning our mouths were literally frozen shut, yeah,
or frozen in place. You know how they get how

(29:58):
they get like stiff totally. It was me. Ornie was
there the first day, Me, Ornie Dill and you guys. Yep,
we were in the stands. That was our first scene.
It was all of us. And then my first thing
on camera I think was either the classroom and it's
you hearing that loud ring, but I think before the classroom,
I'm trying to remember, it's me walking past us, and

(30:18):
then Dylan's like Lydia. Yeah, yeah, I'm trying to remember
what I was say Lydia Martin, he was like Lydia
and it was those you Lydia sayers. And it didn't
get approved. Right about my name, yeah, yeah, but uh,
I had like a weird beanie on Yeah, and um,
I would send pictures of every outfit I was wearing
my agent because I just got so excited, could this happit?

(30:42):
Look at this happen. Look let's say it. Um and yeah,
that's it's funny. Like I would get nervous to like
just walk past you guys in the scene. Really. Oh yeah,
I was nervous to clap in the stands. I was
just I did a show on HBO the year prior
that had these like Gary cole Um like Office Yeah,

(31:03):
like Legend, Lily tomlin Um and Leslie Jordan and he
he did it never aired. We did her whole first season,
We did all six episodes. We had this like big
promo finale, oh all the time, all the time, and um,
it didn't air. So when we did this pilot in
two thousand and ten, and then it didn't air till

(31:24):
it was it was February two thousand and ten, didn't
air till May of two thousand and eleven. I'm sorry, June,
you're right, June fifth, right, Yeah, yeah, June fifth, two
thousand and eleven, right, and so I think we filmed
the pilot presentation in December of two thousand and nine. Non,
putt it was it was January of two thousand and ten, Yes,

(31:45):
because I got the call to audition in January two
thousand and ten. After really it was after some reason
I thought it was two thousand and nine. I think
it was the end of January into February, but it
might have been February of two thousand and ten. But
I got hired I think a day before. I was
flying out crazy, So I was like end of January
I got hired or at the beginning of February. Yeah,
I believable. And then and then yeah, so it was

(32:07):
a year and four months till we um from when
we shot when we aired. Wow, yeah, we were four
or five months. Um. So I was scared that it
wasn't going to air like the previous show. UM. So
I was just shocked it was on air. I was like, wait,
this is actually happening right, um. But yeah, we knew
on the pilot that there was definitely a feel. Oh
I felt it. I always I don't know, it was magic, man,

(32:29):
it was magic. Absolutely. I always knew this was the
trajectory too. Remember Dylan and I were sitting in his
car in like near Manhattan Beach, like literally with the
beach and our view, and we were hanging out in
his car. He was like, how long do you think
we're gonna do the show for it? And I was like, oh,
I think, like it feels like we could be doing
it till we're like twenty five. No, yeah, and we were.
We did, you know, literally I think it was twenty five,
twenty five finished. Yeah, we're still so young, that's crazy.

(32:52):
I was twenty three when we did the pilot No.
Twenty two and that turned twenty three. Yeah, yeah, no, no,
I just turned twenty three when we did the pilot yep.
But when I auditioned, ID just turned twenty three. And
then really four months later we did about Yeah yeah, wow, yeah,
it was twenty three, and then I was almost I know,
you guys were genuinely children. I just turned we Dylan
and I are the same. I think I called y'all

(33:13):
kids once, but I call everybody kids like I'll call
eighty year old kids. And I think Dylan was like
not kids all in him. We used to dude, we
used to get so aggro about everything, like JD one time.
I just remember I just turned twenty. JD was our
first a D and it was like, um, come on
your kids, like pay attention, and Dylan and I were
both like, homie, we're not kids, dude, we're twenty years

(33:34):
old now. Bro. You know Lyndon Ashby and Dylan, the
chemistry they had immediately on screen, I think, yeah, it's
just they always felt like father and son. Yeah, Lyndon
really took to us really quickly, and I love him.

(33:55):
We've loved him so long. He's truly the only immature
Let's probably falls in that category too. They're the only
true adults on the show. Yeah, the only mature peep
like Ian and j are not for a second, Yeah,
not at all. Um. It was so funny after the
table read. We were eighteen years old and after we
did the table read, Lindon like you know, we were
in Atlanta doing it, and uh, table reads when you

(34:17):
read the script as a cast, so SmartLess. One of
my favorite podcasts, Like for Tracy and It's Carol or Tracy.
I think it's Tracy, Like for Tracy and Connecticut a
table Read. You're right, I'm just gonna latch onto Tracy
and Connecticut. Let's come up with our own who. Yeah,
which is the name? Um? Kimberly and Michigan. Kimberly and Michigan.

(34:40):
Kimberly and Michigan. UM. A table read is when you
sit down literally at a table with the script, with
the cast, the director, maybe a producer or two, and
the writer and you all sit around and you kind
of yeah, you act out the script, yeah, you know,
and just just it was filmed too so that the
network MTV at the time, uh, the people at the

(35:00):
powers that be at MTV would then watch it and
critique it or be like, Okay, you're greenlit. Do we
see this working or not? This is the rough draft. Yeah.
So after the table read, Lindon was there. He got
up and he's like, you guys want to go grab
a beer or something? And we were like, we're eighteen
years old and he's like, Jesus question, Okay, you guys
want to go drink some So yeah, So we us

(35:28):
have always been really tight, and he's he's a hero
of my man. I hope he comes on the podcast.
He and his wife they have. John's a good example.
You're a dad like, my heroes in this business are
not the movie stars because they have all the access
in the world. Not that they always had that, but
they do currently. And it's like, if you can be
a working actor, make a living, have your children, do

(35:50):
everything that you want to do and make it work,
like that is the that's the dream man. It's like,
that's the heroes in this business to me because that's
the majority of this business. And um, and I just
I have taken so much financial advice from lindon season.
Oh yeah, I he sat me down and like he

(36:10):
laid it out for me how they set up their
entire system up cool and um, they've raised two beautiful girls.
So like, I just have so much to think. Aw
he literally just awesome. Like so there's like a fancy malleboot, Yeah,
trailer brak. Yeah, my surfboard is over there, is it really? Yeah?
And ea, and he just surfs. It's it's great. It's
it makes me want to look beautiful. No, no, And

(36:32):
they're very the spots you have to get out like
years on the wait list for it. And so he
got in. He's an avid surfer, so um, yeah, we'll
chat with him about that. But uh, but Yeah, Lyndon
was a huge asset. Um, there's so many questions I
still even want to ask Jeff like about casting I
got to do. It's like a whole casting episode. We
also want to bring on the casting directors special effect.

(36:53):
Oh yeah, and when you O'Brian back on the day
and we want to get like Michael Thorne and just
Dustin Levy and the executive old school hitters, you know,
our composer. So so yeah, this is like not just
to the Caloustin Levy blast from the past names. Yeah. Yeah,
he's got good taste. He's he's always like his shows
always do well. Yeah. Total, Um, he's a great producer.

(37:15):
So how long did makeup take? What was makeup like
first being on your face? Yeah, so there is a
good conviction question all of the um you know, Like
so for Kimberly in Michigan, what we do is a
screen test or camera test or makeup test, and it's
it's what we do before we start filming, just to
make sure everything looks good so we're ready to go

(37:37):
so that you know when we when we start um
on day one, we don't have any setbacks because we
usually have to follow a pretty rigid schedule to get
the show out in time. Um, there's just a lot
of scenarios that are in place a scheduling promotion, Like
there's a lot of dominoes that are set up there,
you know. Yeah yeah, yeah. Screen test is like you

(37:57):
just gotta to get all the kinks out of the
get the kinks out. Um. And so I had a
makeup test for the first time I was in the
Werewolf and it changed a lot from the makeup test,
and the makeup test took like five hours. Well we
should see those pictures too. Yeah, you're right, that would
be fun pictures. Yeah, awesome. It was different. This is
why there's a podcast so we can like comb through
all that. Yeah, okay, yeah that it wasn't. My claws

(38:19):
were different, Like, they weren't just claws that stuck to
my fingernails like they are now. It was a whole
prosthetic piece that went over the tip of my finger
and it ballooned out like so it made my fingertip
like fatter the clause where it looked more like a
dog paw, and it just was not attractive. It was
a weird looking can could you zip your pants with

(38:39):
either set of tho. I actually had to have someone's
somebody helped take my pants down, and I think it
was Barbara our wardrobe. Barbara would definitely be a guest
in the podcast. Yeah, she would love. She's a she's
a hoot and a holler man um. So yeah, the
first initial makeup test took like five hours. But then
but then, you know, and I was down. I was like,
all right, let's do this every single day. But then
we got it down to you know, yeah, two hours,

(39:00):
and then an hour and a half and then an
hour and an hour. Yeah sometimes okay, our ten hour
fifteen did you like watch movies because you were in
the prosthetics. So my makeup artists was the poor Eric
Porn and Chris Gallery, and they've got a great system.
They're they're the greatest some people. We talk more than
we talk you and I like, they're just they're they're

(39:22):
my fart joke poop joke partners, and they're incredible pieces.
And Porn's such a dog lover man, He's like the
biggest animal lover. And he used to bring his little pug, Alvira.
What's crazy is that you know we all got dogs.
We did in like the early days of teen Wolf
and now they're getting ancient. I know fifles TWELVELD so

(39:43):
I got I got Roxy first, she's eleven rocks, he's eleven.
Now Jack is gonna be ten. Yeah, we've had it.
We've had a lot of dogs on team. Yeah. The
fifle's got arthritis now sure, Yeah, she's she's blind, so
I have to completely she's she's got hardened lenses, so
she gets kind of the UV hurts her eyes, so
I have to get her these goggles. He's like tinted goggles.

(40:03):
And then I started rollerblading and finished Boardwalk because I'm cool,
seventeen years into living up in La and I put
her in the backpack, so she has these goggles and
the backpack and it is and then Simbi, I should
get a picture of that. Yeah yeah. And then simba
Um is a half malamud half husky that runs alongside us.
So we're like a full on freak show rollerblading. Yeah,

(40:27):
my boyfriend got me into rollerblading. And all those friends
make fun of them. They're like, oh, you're gonna go
rollerblading now to pick up more girls. And then like
cut to his girlfriend and his girlfriend like we go
roller What kind of roller blades? Are they in line
or are they the four indoor derby ones? And I
need to get new ones like they like roller derby,
which means two you know maybe yeah, yeah, oh it's

(40:48):
it's double stacks. No, no, these are single stacks props
in the blades in line. I am new to the
rollerblading community. And so, um, his are proper for like outdoors.
Mine are definitely not. And so with fiful on my
back too, I just get ultra nervous. So like I
need to get like risk pads and like knee pads,
like I'm afraid'm gonna break my freaking face. Yeah, and

(41:09):
so yeah for Christmas, like we're gonna get myself some
some some roller player for christ the Christmas coming up.
I never am on time for gifts or talking about
the Christmas that we just had. Yeah, I always get
a belated Christmas. We'll just deal with it in February.
I'm never on the day. Yeah, I'm the ultimate late person.
I'm still waiting for mine. I didn't get you a sandwich,

(41:32):
really happy about that. This is just a thank you,
it's not a gift. Um. I'm trying to think what
other big things. Big things the lacrosse. Have you played lacrosse? No,
my dad, So I grew up. My dad was a professional.
He played lacrosse all throughout. Yeah, he played lacrosse throughout
high school and in in college. Really good lacrosse player. That's nuts.
That's kind of weird coincidence. Yeah, I know, right. Did

(41:54):
he ever think that he would have a son on
a show that played lacrosse for a decade? Of course not. No,
it's his two loves, you know, because my dad's a
big sports guy. Yes, he's also an incredible actor and
has been acting I was born. And so it's just
what's your favorite movie that he did? Uh, favorite show
or movie? M I mean, he's done so many. He
did he did maybe Team Wolf. I love his character

(42:14):
and Team Wolf. He's done a couple of movies with me.
He wrote a one man play that he had on
from like early nineties to uh, probably about six years
ago he put it on. He's one of the best
writers I've ever You guys gotta do something together, like
writes me together The Plan? Yeah, like Shit's Creek style,
like like Gene and Dan let the Plan. You know,
more and more, I do stuff on my own that

(42:35):
I'm trying to, you know, the Adam Sandler thing where
he has his core group of people constantly works with.
That's what I want to do. If you do, Logan Miller,
I should introduce you Logan Miller. Name sounds. He's a
funny dude. I did a move called escape room with him,
and he is just I saw that a riot you saw?
Of course. I watch all your things, sweet, everything that
you're so sweet. Oh yeah, my my dad played lacrosse

(42:57):
all throughout high school in college and did you? Did you? So?
I would like throw the ball with him every now
and then. So you know, when when when you're playing basketball,
you do this thing called dribble. You can't travel with
the ball without it right steps without without the ball
hitting the ground. Similar sort of thing with lacrosse. If
you're holding it, the ball has to be in your net.
Obviously you're in your stick, um, But in order to

(43:19):
keep the ball in there, you have to just do
this thing called cradling the ball, which is giving it
to constantly do that when you're running. You have to
because the ball is gonna fall out otherwise. So so
doing this creates this sort of g force with the
ball where it stays in the pocket. Um. So, cradling
is you're basically curling the stick up and down, giving
it this like circular motion while you're running. And that's

(43:39):
called cradling. So I knew I knew how to cradle
the ball before before. Yeah, and that's you know, I'm
just thinking of it now at literally this very moment
that you guys actually had to think about those things. Yeah,
and make it look real, you know. Yes, we had
like lacrosse professional coaches with us every time we were
filming that would constantly remind us, hey, you're doing this wrong.

(44:01):
Try this. Did you ever play like an intermural lacrosse? Hell? No, no, no,
I've never actually played a game of lacrosse. That's fun.
It's intense, dude. Lacrosse is a viol's silence where it's
like it's like rugby. Yeah, it's got that up a
lot of pads aside from your chest, right, yeah, and
they're not thick. It's a super violent sport, the number
one sport in Canada. I thought it was like, yeah,

(44:21):
I saw when I was a kid, way before teen
wolf I and I was working in Canada or my
dad should be to lacrosse games. I remember I have
a lacrosse ball signed by one of these athletes that
I had no idea who he was, but I was.
I thought he was so cool watching him. I was like,
can I get your autographs? Lacrosse has been in my
life for a long time, which is really cool, unique
sort of what do you know, Like, like, what did

(44:42):
he say when you found and he found out? Yeah?
I think he was just excited to like, you know,
be there with me. And then even when we were
in Atlanta, one of my dad's like really good friends
who he grew up with playing lacrosse with my dad
used to live in Atlanta. Um came on and was
a was a coach, a coach to teach us how
to how to like act and play lacrosse. I never

(45:03):
knew that. Yeah, his name was John Bear. Wow. Came
to so many Team Will facts. Yeah that's cool, dude,
I didn't know that. That's really cool. New and styles
in the bedroom scenes I think were pretty epic and
like the kind of fight you get into scene. I

(45:28):
think that was my audition scene. Oh um, yeah that
was great. Um. And Dylan was so funny because he
had come from YouTube at the time. Right to me,
it always felt like a nineteen eighties show because of
the pilot of like the y'all's buddy were like friendship
and him falling from like the rats the rafters. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
falling from the rafters, the roof, the roof. Yeah, he uh.

(45:51):
I just remember that. That's actually what I think of
I think when I think of the pilot. Yeah, I
get that one too, Yeah, I think a lot, do you. I.
Actually my only regret with the pilot is I look
at Stranger Things, And I brought this up with Jeff
and I remember watching an episode of Stranger Things and
it was like the creature in the wall and Nona
Ryer was like walking in the hallway and I'm like
this huge ratings. I'm like, guys, this is teen Wolf. Yeah,

(46:14):
it's legit teen Wolf, and they went they went, you know,
full nineteen eighties though, And I was like, wouldn't that
have been fun if we had gone eighties? Yeah, it
would have been nice, Like that's kind and Jeff's like, well,
even with the eighties, like the budgets weren't there. I
was like, well, especially in the beginning, I could totally
see that, but I think that would have pulled that
nostalgia string for it. Was why I think Stranger Things

(46:34):
were so popular was he was doing a lot of
what genre already does, but all of the thirties Ish cup,
you know, Demo was wanting to see the nineteen eighties
John Hughesian kind of world, and that's what they capitalized on.
So I was like, we were kind of an almost
eighties feel sure. Yeah, absolutely, with Jeep and the coloring
and the darkly ledo. So it was like old school

(46:56):
horror style, but but it was also like a buddy
comedy exactly. Yeah. I don't know if I have any
regrets with it, you know. I mean like, obviously I
wasn't a strong actor at that battle. I mean not,
you know, there's as an actor you go back and
you're like, man, that was like I definitely could have
done it was a good actor, And I went back
and I had a few of those moments I'll say, oh, yeah, exactly,
but that's normal. I like that. I like seeing where

(47:19):
I've come and I'm proud of myself even back then,
and so it's it's, uh, I have no regrets. I
love I love how it turned out, and I still
wish we're nineteen eight show. That's my lyric. We kind
of technically are because it's from teen one. So I think,
I I think, I think would bring up obviously Allison
for a quick second in y'all's chemistry. Um, I just

(47:41):
love that, like the camera loves you two together. Yeah,
it's fun, it's really fun. Like the look she gives you,
she is she's definitely got like a sparkle on screen.
Um that I was really proud of and I think
is really unique awesome. Yeah, yeah, I don't know. For me,
it's it's it's difficult to because like I'm I'm I'm

(48:01):
one of those actors that I'm able to get lost
in what I'm watching. Um, even for my own stuff,
I get lost in the world. But for some reason,
when I see myself interacting with any of us the
cast mates, I see our real relationships, funny, the characters funny.
You don't, I don't for some reason. I mean, I
you know, sometimes I do. For some reason, I say,

(48:22):
I it's hard for me to to step out Tyler
and Crystal rather than Scott and Allison, right right, right, right,
that's funny man. Yeah, Yeah, but yeah, there I'm you know,
I love I love Scott and Allison, and I'm glad
that they you know, I think I think how Jeff
brought her. I know this isn't the pilot technically, but
how he brought her back in the movie was pretty cool.
It was the only way. There's the only way that

(48:43):
is true. But like, um, I just think it was
like an interesting dynamic to see. Sure, Yo, Yeah, definitely,
it was something that I was really excited to play
because we had that was something that we'd never have
kind of touched upon. That's such a fun list of
like let's brainstone for a week, like on Reddit forms
of what have we not? Yeah, right, totally. Yeah. I
used to answer that question. People are like, so, what

(49:03):
are all the things that you've done on teen Wolf.
I'm like, I've done everything. I've even been sprayed by
a fire extinguisher like that. That to me was like
the cool When I was younger, I was like, I
got sprayed by fire extinguisher. Also, uh, you are the
toughest person in the sense that we shot in like
fifteen degree fahrenheit, wet, naked in like fully submerged in lakes,

(49:24):
not just wet. Yeah, I love that running in the woods.
I mean, I will say, like teen Wolf, and I
think a lot of us have separately said this, like
it trains you so well to be go on other
projects and do crazy night shoes. Complain. No, no, there's
no point in complaining. Like for me, like I still
keep that going. Like Vincent, Vincent and I on this
movie had to be running in the woods and they

(49:44):
wanted to get us wet, and so they're like spraying
us with these Hudson sprayers and like these spray bottles,
and we were like, what the fuck this is taking
too long? And I grabbed a bottle of water through
Divin and he and I just like doush bottles of water. Yeah,
and it was fun. It's kind of like keeping that
kind of like and he was he took to it
really like, and that's what I wanted to do. I
want I wanted to bring him under a good light

(50:07):
and kind of be like, look, dude, this is this
is what we do, and we're going to enjoy it
and not complain and have fun the entire time. And
there's a way to do this and not take yourself
too seriously while we're doing serious work and still have fun.
Was this his first big, big movie diva? Uh yeah,
absolutely so talented man. I was really impressed last night. Yeah.
Um yeah, I'm excited to see his career. So I

(50:28):
think the next thing I'm going to ask you quickly
about is almost a rapid fire. You've been in Los
ang Costco Pavements and five North. What is your favorite band?
I must oh, wow wild Yeah, so my current one
is now just Tyler Posey. Who it is? It's just
my name. Five North is over. It makes sense because
like as soon as COVID came around, Okay, my drummers Australian.

(50:48):
He lives in Australia. He was stuck there. My bassis,
one of my best friends, became a firefighter, so I
was alone writing music, and I was like, it only
makes sense to kind of use my name. Plus my
name has a following. It just kind of it made sense. Um,
And you wrote with Calvis Parker with my girlfriend. Yeah. Yeah,
for the credits of teen Wolf, for the credits public Knowledge.

(51:11):
Uh yeah, I don't actually don't know if I if
I mentioned that I wrote it with Actually I did
in an interview. My girlfriend live and I fem her
name is not live it is fem p h e muh.
She and I wrote the ending credits song in my
room and I have a demo of it. Maybe I'll
release it at some point, should just because like I

(51:32):
like to record my own stuff and demo it and um,
but yeah, we wrote the We wrote that song in
my room and we wrote it fourteen Wolf specifically, and
it was the first song that I've ever written in
mind of putting in a movie. You know, that's awesome,
that fourteen of the movie. Right, She's she's such a supporter. Oh,
she's the greatest. FM is the biggest supporter. Yeah, fem
is the absolute greatest person we have one. So lucky,

(51:56):
A little surprised to play you out on that right,
welcome differs. It seems like I have no reason to
lift up with a hundred excuses and I'm so god
doing useless once cool with the total mojo no more?

(52:17):
What so cute, dude, I wrote that when I was
twelve years old. That's so cool. Yeah, it's about like
not having a mojo, not having mojo, which is like
you totally have majo when I was twelve years old. Yeah,
um yeah that was I can't take credit for finding
that video Valerie found in MICHAELA Founded and they played

(52:38):
it for me and I was like, wait what he
was on the Kelly Clarkson shown that was like the
other day. Yeah, that's what they said. I was like,
this is great. Yeah it was. It was dope. I
love and we love Kelly Clarkson and uh and her music.
She's got a voice of an angel. It's insane, man,
she's got she's got the voice. So what's your new
Tyler Brosy stuff coming out? Uh? So I have that

(52:59):
song and teen Wolf called Lemon that's coming out in
the twenty seventh. Okay, so you have a big week. Yeah,
and then the album, which is sixteen songs, is coming
out later this weear or not later this year. Costed
in a few months. Yet you love writing, Yeah, you
love so it's just seamless for you. You're like writing
playing like, yeah, y'all have like it's a musician household.

(53:20):
It's got to be like yeah, crazy, it's fun, you know,
and it's nice to like separate it too, okay, because
like I used to be all about music and record
every single day and play, and like it's nice taking
a little break and then coming back because right now
I've got sixteen songs ready to go, you know, and
I my career doesn't rely on music. If it did,
I would be booking tourists constantly and constantly. But now

(53:41):
it's it's just for fun, you know. I'm I still
love it, I'm passionate, but it's I'm not putting too
much pressure on it because then it could be like
too much, it could be very stressful. We both performed
at the Roxy. Yours was in two thousand. Do I
made a fake music video for a DK and why
campaign at the rocks? Really? I did? I did? And
I remember in twenty twelve when you're like we're putting
the rock seat. Yeah, it was like I lost in

(54:03):
Costco with a K. It has like a special place
in my heart. Same that will always go down such
a great band, one of my favorites. And you know,
big love to my homie Alex Girch, who isn't here anymore.
I've told you that, right my drummer, Yeah, um love
him forever. Um. So yeah, that that band is always
it was my high school lost in Costco punk band.

(54:26):
There's just a lot of like overlapid things between that.
That and band and teen Wolf totally the beginning. Yeah, absolutely, yeah,
so so cool, just a lot of good memories and
the pilot started everything off, it really did. Yeah, Tyler,
thank you for joining us, Like this was so much fun.
I'm very proud of you. It's really cool. I do
think we should do a group absolutely, or at least

(54:46):
just me and Colton. Like this is the most chill,
laid back I heard. It's very kind. I'm sure I'm
going to get a sit down at some point to
be like taking things up please, But but yeah, it's
been No, this is what they want. I will say,
this is fans want. This is but yeah, I'm very
proud of you. This is really cool. Thanks for having
me come back anytime. We'd love to. Yay. Thanks for listening. Y'all.
