Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hunting for Answers is a production of the Black Effect
Podcast Network and iHeartRadio. Welcome to Hunting for Answers, a
true crime podcast. I'm your host Hunter, and today we're
highlighting a case that began in Lawrenceville, Georgia, a community
about thirty miles northeast of Atlanta. In May of twenty

(00:24):
twenty five, a twenty seven year old mother of two
walked out of her home and never came back. She
left on foot with only a few personal belongings, and
surveillance footage captured her pawning her cell phone along Grayson
Highway and then nothing. No calls, no social media posts,

(00:50):
no bank activity. More than six months have passed, and
her family says this isn't like her at all, especially
considering the two most important people in her life, her children.
This is the story of Tyana Neuska. Tyana Neraska was

(01:18):
twenty seven years old at the time of her disappearance
in the spring of twenty twenty five. She lived in Lawrenceville, Georgia,
and her family reports she was the mother of two
young children and had a live in boyfriend. She stands
between five seven and five eight, and according to community
record sites, She weighs about one hundred and thirty five

(01:40):
to one hundred and forty pounds. She also has a
tattoo on her right wrist that reads Anina. Those close
to her say she was a dedicated mother, and her stepsister,
Natifah Charles said, I've never known her to leave her
kids for this long. I've never known her to leave

(02:02):
her kids at all. May one, twenty twenty five, Tiana
left her home in Lawrenceville on foot, taking only a
few personal items with her. She was last seen wearing
a red Mickey Mouse t shirt, blue jeans, and brown sandals.

(02:23):
Investigators say surveillance cameras later captured her pawning her cellphone
along Grayson Highway. After that, she disappeared. Four days passed
before Tiana was reported missing. Her living boyfriend contacted police
on May fifth. When asked if the delay was suspicious,

(02:47):
Captain Salvador or Tega of the Lawrenceville Police Department said
it could be, but every case is different. Investigators have
said the friend has been cooperative throughout the process. Still,
precious time was ticking. As days turned into weeks, Natifa

(03:11):
grew more worried about her sister's whereabouts. There were no calls,
no bank transactions, and no social media activity. For a
young mother in twenty twenty five, that kind of silence
seems unheard of. It was as if she vanished into

(03:33):
thin air. By early June, about a month after she
was last seen, the Lawrenceville Police Department issued a public
request for help locating Tyana Neusca. According to online blogs
that have followed the case, Tyana had left home before

(03:55):
for short periods of time, but she always stayed in
contact and always returned within a day or two. This time,
there were no texts, no calls, and no return The
decision to pawn her cell phone has been one of
the most talked about details in this case. Was it

(04:19):
a sign that she planned to leave voluntarily or did
someone pressure her to get rid of it, making it
impossible to be tracked. Nowadays, a phone is more than
just a device. It's how you stay connected to your family,
your children, and pretty much your entire life. And for Tyana,

(04:45):
who loved staying in touch with her family, that silence
was unlike her. By late June, detectives expanded their search
beyond Georgia. Investigators learned that Tiana had once talked about
moving to Houston, Texas. Lawrenceville Police began working with law

(05:06):
enforcement there following any possible leads, but nothing concrete ever
turned up. No sightings, no financial activity, no trace of
Tyana in Houston or anywhere else for that matter. When
you look at the facts, certain details stand out. If

(05:31):
Tyana had left home before but always stayed in touch
and returned within a day or two, what changed on
May one, twenty twenty five, what made this time any different?
As the months passed, the questions only grew louder, with

(05:53):
so much still unknown. What really happened during those four
days before Tyana was reported missing in what's happened since then?
Tyana's case has been profiled on multiple missing person databases
and remains an active investigation with the Lawrenceville Police Department,

(06:16):
led by Detective Applebee. As of November twenty twenty five,
there have been no major breaks, no arrests, no confirmed sightings,
just a family waiting for answers and two children waiting
for their mother to come home. Our thoughts and prayers

(06:38):
are with the family and friends of Tyana Nereska. Her
family has created a GoFundMe campaign to help raise money
to hire a private investigator. In their own words, we
are trying to raise money to hire a private investigator,
someone who is able to do what the police aren't,

(06:59):
someone who can help help us find the truth, follow
the trail, and bring Tyana home to us and most
importantly back to her too beautiful daughters who miss their
mommy more than words can say. We're asking, begging for
your help. If you can donate anything at all, no

(07:21):
matter how small, it will go directly toward the cost
of hiring and experience PI. Your support means everything right now.
If you'd like to contribute, you can find the link
to the family's go Fundme page in the description below.
If you have any information about the disappearance or current

(07:42):
whereabouts of Tyana Neuska, please contact Detective Applebee at the
Lawrenceville Police Department. As we close out this episode, remember
to share Tyana's story to help spread awareness and keep
her name alive. Don't forget to fight Hello hunting for answers.
