Hunting for Answers is a production of the Black Effect
Podcast Network and iHeartRadio. Welcome to Hunting for Answers, a
true crime podcast. I'm your host, Hunter and Today, we're
discussing the her plexing disappearance of a mother who vanished
without a trace from Tulsa, Oklahoma, in two thousand and six.

(01:07):
This is the story of Selwyn Richardson. Selwyn was born
September twenty fifth, nineteen sixty three. She was a forty
three year old mother who still had so much life
ahead of her. But on November fifth, two thousand and six,
everything changed. Selwyn was last seen at her apartment in

(01:32):
the Crystal Bay Complex, located at twenty first Street and
Mingo Road. The time was around two to three am,
and she was there with her ex boyfriend, the last
person known to be seen with her now. The timeline
of events surrounding Selwyn's disappearance is unclear. However, it's reported

(01:54):
that she failed to pick up or drop off her
child at her mother's home, sparking immediate concern among her family.
Authorities were then notified. So what happened to Selwyn on
that fateful day. The investigation took a mysterious turn when
traces of Selwyn's blood were discovered in her ex boyfriend's truck.

(02:17):
While he denied any involvement, suspicions lingered, especially considering his
subsequent incarceration on unrelated charges. Despite the years that have
passed by, Selwyn's sister, Angie Pitts, has remained dedicated in
her search for answers and refuses to give up hope
of finding her sister, or at the very least getting closure.

(02:43):
According to Angie, this isn't just about finding Selwyn, It's
about being a voice for those who have vanished who
have yet to be found. Selwyn Richardson's disappearance remains a
devastating mystery, leaving behind a void for her family and friends,
including the three children and one grandchild she left behind.

(03:09):
At the time Selwyn vanished, she stood somewhere between five
feet to five feet six inches tall and weighed one
hundred and fifty pounds. She had brown eyes and black hair. However,
at the time she went missing, she was wearing a
gray and black leaves styled in a ponytail. Selwyn has
a scar on her right leg, a scar on her

(03:30):
left thigh, and numerous tattoos on both of her arms.
Both of Selwyn's ears were pierced as well. Her middle
name is Annette, and she was known to go by
Tina Pitts. Selwyn Richardson would be sixty one years old today.
Foul play is suspected in her case. My thoughts and

(03:53):
prayers are with Selwyn's family and friends, as they don't
believe she would have just left on her own accord.
Anyone with information regarding her case should contact that TULS
the Police Department. Their contact information, along with the agency
case number, can be found below. As we wrap up
