Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hunting for Answers is a production of the Black Effect
Podcast Network and iHeartRadio. Welcome to Hunting for Answers, a
true crime podcast. I'm your host Hunter, and today we're
highlighting a case that happened. On a morning in May
twenty twenty five, neighbors and Warner Robins, Georgia, woke up

(00:21):
to the sound of sirens. Police had been called to
the two hundred block of Woodland Trail, a place where
families lived peaceful lives and where violence felt a distance away.
But on May twenty fifth, that peace was shattered. Two women,
a mother and a daughter, were found dead from gunshot mans,

(00:45):
their lives cut short by someone.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
Close to them.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
Within hours, a man was arrested, the daughter's boyfriend, and
with his capture, a disturbing pattern had emerged, one that
revealed a shocking reality. This is the story of Virginia
and Rhodisha Boston. Radisha Boston was twenty nine years old

(01:14):
in the spring of twenty twenty five. She was a
young mother with dreams of becoming a nurse. She was
studying hard balancing her education while raising her five year
old son. Her mother, Virginia Boston, was forty nine years old.
Family describes her as very calm and caring, the kind

(01:35):
of woman who would do anything for her children, the
kind of grandmother who promised to always be there.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
They lived together in the Woodland.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
Trail apartments in Warner Robbins, a community where violenceton seemed
to creep in too often. Neighbor Tiffany Lewis told WGXA
News she was shocked by what happened, expressing how the
area was generally quiet and safe. Radesha was in a

(02:05):
relationship with twenty nine year old Rashad Williams of Cordell, Georgia.
To the outside world, they may have looked like any
young couple, but behind closed doors, a different story was unfolding.
What we know is that on the morning of May
twenty fifth, something went terribly wrong. According to reporting by

(02:31):
w ALB, Rashad Williams had been released from Rutledge State
Prison in August twenty twenty four. He had a lengthy
criminal history, including prior convictions for sexual offenses. Since the murders,
numerous social media posts have claimed that Rhodysha Boston had
taken Williams back after his release.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
However, these claims have not been.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
Confirmed by law enforcement or reported in credible local news sources.
At six thirty five am on Saturday, May twenty fifth,
Houston County Sheriff's deputies received a call that they would
never forget. When they arrived at the Woodland Trail apartments,

(03:16):
they found a scene of unimaginable tragedy. Virginia Boston and
her daughter Rhodaisha were both unlive from gunshot wounds. Investigators
quickly determined both deaths were homicides. In that moment, a
family was destroyed and a young boy had lost his

(03:40):
mother and grandmother. The Houston County Sheriff's Office moved quickly.
Sheriff Matt Moulton confirmed that Rahdasha's boyfriend, Rashad Williams, was
identified as a person of interest. By seven thirty am,
just one hour after their bodies were discovered, the Crisp

(04:02):
County Sheriff's Office had joined the manhunt. By three pm,
the Worth County Sheriff's Office also had joined the search.
Three counties multiple agencies all looking for one person accused
of destroying two lives and taking off At four pm

(04:25):
that same day, less than ten hours after the murders
took place, Williams was found hiding in an abandoned farmhouse
in Warwick, Georgia. Reports say he was taken into custody
without incident. He was charged with two counts of murder
and transported to the Houston County Detention Center, where he remains.

(04:50):
The family's pain was immediate and raw. Nomiel Tucker, Radasha's
sister and Virginia's daughter, spoke to local news about the
devastating loss. I'm just trying to stay strong for my nephew,
she said, referring to Radisha's young son, who had lost
his mother and grandmother. Her words capture a family trying

(05:14):
to pick up the pieces that can truly never be
put back together. Her words capture a family trying to
pick up the pieces ones that truly can never be
put back together. But the Boston family's tragedy was not isolated.

(05:34):
It was a part of a terrifying pattern sweeping through
Housing County.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
Thirteen.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
WMAZ had reported that by the end of May twenty
twenty five house in county had seen ten homicides, nine
of them related to family violence. Earlier that same month,
thirty nine year old Fallen Graham was shot and killed
in Warner Robbins, and an incident police described as domestic.

(06:02):
The numbers were beginning to show a troubling reality taking place,
of families being shattered and a community struggling to understand
how relationships were turning so deadly. Local domestic violence advocacy
groups began speaking out, urging victims to seek help before

(06:23):
it was too late. This case led to local domestic
violence advocacy groups speaking out, urging victims to seek help
before it was too late. What makes this case particularly
heartbreaking is the ripple effect of violence. Radisha wasn't just

(06:44):
a young woman whose life was taken at the hands
of her boyfriend. She was a mother, a daughter, and
a sister. Virginia wasn't just another victim either. She was
a mother and a grandmother who cared deeply for her family,
and both women are deeply missed. Their story highlights a

(07:07):
devastating reality. When domestic violence escalates, it sometimes doesn't discriminate
against who it hurts. The investigation into the Boston murders
was swift. Within hour's law enforcement had their suspect and custody.
Authorities say evidence led them to an arrest the same day,

(07:31):
but the real question remains, how did it get to
this point, for their warning signs and could this have
been prevented.

Speaker 2 (07:43):
Today?

Speaker 1 (07:43):
Rashad Williams remains in Houston County Detention Center. He faces
two counts of murder, with additional charges possible as the
case moves through the courts. But for the Boston family,
no verdict will bring back Virginia or Radaesha. The Warner

(08:04):
Robins community, like so many others touched by DV, is
left to grapple with very hard truths that violence can
often hide behind familiar faces. As we close out this episode,
remember sharing Virginia and Radasha Boston's story helps to spread

(08:25):
awareness and could help prevent another SENSEUS tragedy from taking place.
There's story is a reminder that DV is not an
isolated matter. It's a community issue, and it should be
all of our responsibilities to speak up, to offer help
and to break the silence that too often surrounds these tragedies.

(08:48):
If you or someone you know is experiencing DV, please
reach out for help.
