Speaker 1 (00:00):
I am all in again.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
Oh, let's guess you.
Speaker 3 (00:17):
Gilmore Girls Gazette with Amy Sugarman and Danielle Romo, an
iHeartRadio podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
All right, this is a very special edition of the
Gilmore Girl's Gazette. We're doing it because of the twenty
fifth anniversary. Also because Emma made the most beautiful, beautiful
collage Emma for Instagram that you gotta go look at it.
Just to support our Emma and her hard work of
making this beautiful colagh. So she sort of made a
(00:46):
collage of all of our favorite merch items and we're
going to go over a bunch of them, but I
really want to start with and this. I know people
don't like when I say get me that, but guess what.
It's for the show guys. But here's the thing. We
all got to get get me that. So we got
to get one for you, one for me, one for
Jackie because I feel like we're gonna want these. So
(01:08):
this is the one. And I don't want to say
this wrong. Linga linga Lingua.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
What you're gonna buy us a linga sweater?
Speaker 3 (01:16):
You know?
Speaker 2 (01:16):
This is like designer.
Speaker 1 (01:18):
You're gonna get us a league.
Speaker 2 (01:20):
Yeah, we're getting them from Scott. This is a gift
from Scott. He just doesn't know he's giving us this gift.
Use his credit card at Okay, So this is that
really cool line you guys, like. I see this in
like high end boutiques and they have like cool sayings
on them. But they made a Gilmore Girls.
Speaker 3 (01:40):
One, so I have to say something.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
Please.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
I freaked out when you send it in our chat.
The store is two blocks from my apartment.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
So I stopped what I was doing. I stopped work
in the middle of the day because I figured it
was okay. I ran down.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
To the store. Did they I asked?
Speaker 3 (02:01):
And they don't have it. It's made to order.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
Oh, made to order, but that means they won't sell out. Okay, fine, right, okay, great.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
I felt the knit.
Speaker 3 (02:08):
It's great.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
Oh no, it's you guys. This is like it's not
gonna be cheap. This is gonna be high end stuff.
So this is really save your pennies to get this.
So let me just describe a few of them and
then we can figure out what we want. So these
are like cashmere sweaters. I think they're like beautiful. They're
like cashmere or like a blend the button down cardigan
(02:29):
says chiltin on it, and that one has more of
a patch. The lux one is iconic. It's like a
black with the coffee cup and the orange Lukes, but
it's like we're talking high end. The gray one that
says the Life and Death Brigade. But did you get
the one that's more of a charcoal with the yellow flowers?
(02:51):
I mean you hitting me? And then one says coffee, coffee, coffee,
and one says I love you, you idiot? Is that
did Laura?
Speaker 3 (03:02):
I say that to.
Speaker 4 (03:03):
Luke nodded when Oh, it told me.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
And then you've been gilmour. So Emma, can you order
them for since you seem like the expert?
Speaker 3 (03:14):
Yeah, yes, please, there's a couple more. Did you see
OI with the poodles already?
Speaker 1 (03:19):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (03:20):
No, I only saw these. There's more.
Speaker 4 (03:22):
Yeah, god, this will be the most expensive sweater that
thy own in this well it is.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
We are gonna really like, thank you, Scott, because we're
using money.
Speaker 3 (03:31):
I think, Scott, what.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
OI with the poodles already? Oh my god, it has
that saying in omnia paratus. Yes, first of all, that
one's really amazing, because that's kind of if you know,
you know, like a lot of people would be like,
I don't know what that is, but bet eight omeal
and I smell snow, I might need to. I don't
know what to do.
Speaker 1 (03:51):
I might need to.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
I'll use my own money for the second one. So
what is your favorite? So guys, how do what's the
website so people can go see this?
Speaker 1 (04:00):
I was just going on that.
Speaker 3 (04:02):
Yeah, it's on Langa Franca.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
Okay, So go to our instagram and we will have
this posted so that you know how to spell it.
Go to our instagram. Also give us a follow if
you're If you don't mind, So this says a celebration
of twenty five years of quick witted dialogue, cozy knights,
and small town magic. Thanks to Amy Sherman Palladino's razor
shaped writing, this capsule is full of stitch worthy lines
(04:27):
embroidered onto our new Maxine sweaters. Don't miss the limited
edition Child Chiltern cardigan and Luke's Diner sweat sweats shirts.
Oh my god, they have sweatshirts too.
Speaker 3 (04:38):
Oh maybe the black is a sweatshirt.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
It is, it is a sweatshirt, but.
Speaker 2 (04:43):
The children cardigan looks like a sweater Okay, hmm, that
is a sweater I want and do I go medium.
I don't like a tight sweater. Kind of like it oversized,
but I feel like I got to be a medium.
Speaker 3 (04:52):
Yeah, I like oversized as well.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
Well, thank you, I'm a medium. Is oversized on you?
A medium on me? It's all tight?
Speaker 1 (04:59):
Oh, I go large. I like the chiltern sweater. I
like that button down too. I like the V neck.
I want that. I would love the chiltern sweater.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
I think I'm gonna go Oh, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (05:13):
I need time.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
Give me a minute to think about it. While everybody
is listening and also thinking about it.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
They're so good.
Speaker 2 (05:20):
There's something about Innomnimoa an omnia haratus that I think
is so cool because it's like no one's gonna know
what that is. Yeah, thing with the Life and Death Brigade, Yeah,
you might have to get that an honor of logan. Okay,
give me till the end of the show to think. Also,
this actually stunned me. I had to zoom in and go,
(05:40):
do I have this right? So you know the brand
bliss it is that Kelly Bishop and Gilmour girls are
doing like a full collab with Bliss, and I see
Kelly Bishop and all their ads like she's the face
of it.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
Yeah. Yeah, it's very cute.
Speaker 2 (05:58):
It's skincare, so it's gotten Gilmore Girls, Bliss, Pumpkin Powerhouse,
exfoliating masks, spa headband, Girl's Bright Idea, Brightening serum and moisture,
Lemon and Sage body butter Ooh sounds, Pumpkin Powerhouse soothing
and exfoliating lip mask. Oh, I feel like I need that,
(06:18):
and she said. Kelly Bishop's favorite forms of self care
include exercise that does not feel like self care, that
feels like hard work, and a sound a night of
sound sleep. Now I enjoy my sleep. Exercise is something
I have to do. But walk.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
You sleep better if you exercise. Amen, That's what I noticed.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
First of all. I exercise, but I don't consider it
self care. I consider it like a requirement. Like self
care to me is like this massage stick or like
a pedicure or a walk. But anyway, respect So uh, Emily, Emily, Emily, Kelly, Emily,
I've done that. I used to be a dancer many
(06:57):
many years ago. We know bun pads, we know, so
I've danced. I stayed with ballet for a long long
time until I hit my fifties. Pretty soon I realized
I was having to let go of this step or
that step just for practical reasons. Now it's pilateus for me,
which she really enjoys. Oh my god.
Speaker 3 (07:13):
Boy, I love that she's still doing that.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (07:15):
And she said how when Bliss approached her, she thought
to herself, why me, why not someone younger? But they
did want her specific that's what's so cool.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
And the headband. I would order it just for the headband.
The headband is so gilmoury. It's very chiltin me.
Speaker 3 (07:32):
Yeah, it's a good ploid.
Speaker 2 (07:33):
It's so key o.
Speaker 4 (07:36):
That plaid has become like the face of like the
twenty fifth anniversary.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 3 (07:42):
I love a good plaid, So do you amy you
love plud?
Speaker 2 (07:44):
I love plaid. I just was googling a pink and
orange plaid. I ordered the mother shirt. I'm not gonna lie.
It was way too big, like it was so oversized.
Like I'm all for the oversized thing that's happening, but
this was so oversized. I was like, I can I
wear this sidebar? We're going to go back to some
more items, but I forgot to do this story earlier
today that Jared Patilaki revealed Alexis Bin was asleep. Well,
(08:07):
did you guys read this?
Speaker 1 (08:08):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (08:12):
Episode was the best acting I've ever done. Is when
he had a film sleep, a sleep scene when they
fell asleep in the first.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
Season and they actually fell asleep.
Speaker 3 (08:21):
Yeah, he was falling asleep and he was.
Speaker 2 (08:25):
The best acting I've ever done because I was asleep.
He goes, we're having asleep. That is so funny. Do
you think you could find an image of that to
put on our social? Sorry, so many things going up
on social I mean, now, if you're gonna follow us,
now is the time I had. There was an episode
where Dean and Rory go to Miss Patty's and they
(08:47):
fell asleep. It had been like an eighteen hour shooting
day and we literally fell asleep. I remember somebody shaking
my arm. I'm ready thought, God, that is amazing.
Speaker 3 (09:03):
I mean I can just imagine that he closes his
eyes and then everything just shuts down exhaustion after eighteen hours.
Speaker 1 (09:13):
Oh yeah, I done that. I've done that.
Speaker 2 (09:15):
I've decided I can tell when I'm falling asleep because like,
my brain just stops working.
Speaker 3 (09:20):
It feels so good though, like I'm all, oh, I'm not.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
Like thinking like contiguously? Is that the way like my
brain kind of jumps around? And then I used to
get like weirded out by it. Now I'm like, oh,
that means I'm about to fall asleep. It was just like,
n does that happen to you, guys?
Speaker 3 (09:35):
Yeah, it's the best. Like I love going to bed.
Speaker 2 (09:39):
I have the disorder though, the menopause disorder. It's not bad.
But here's what happens at menopause. So prepare yourselves, Jackie. Eventually,
tw one hundred years from now, hopefully I wake up
at four. So I'm a good sleeper, guys, I'm a
good sleeper. I hit that at twelve thirty or one.
I go to sleep now, I'm not gonna lie. I'm
(10:01):
a hard sleeper now, so, which is a kind of
opposite of menopause. I have to set my alarm ten
because I could sleep till noon. So I have to
set the alarm because I'm It's more like I'm anxious
that I'm going to sleep so hard that I'm gonna
fall a sleep. But I often wake up at four fifteen,
So that means I've gone to bed at one, two,
three four, it's about three hours. Go to the bathroom
(10:23):
and Homegirl's awake. Homegirl is awake, Like I'm like awake,
I could be doing.
Speaker 3 (10:29):
You're responding to emails and I'm wondering why you're up.
Speaker 2 (10:32):
Yes, sometimes I do so because I'm like, what happens
is if I if the brain starts a going right, Yes,
I need to do this. Why do this person do
this to me? I'm upset at that person. This person
did what early, But I don't let it stress me
out because what I know is I'm gonna fall asleep
in an hour, Like it takes about an hour, and
I kind of lay there and I think I sort
of doze off and don't realize it. So I'll do
(10:53):
a couple of emails if I'm sort of really spinny,
and then I just lay back down and then I'm asleep,
and I think I have fallen asleep during it. I
just don't realize it because I'm like, there's no way
I've been laying here for like forty minutes just tossing
and a turning, and then I go back to.
Speaker 3 (11:08):
Sleep hard, like like really hard good sleep.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
What I will say though too is uh for those
living in LA loud town. That's a loud town. The
difference between how I sleep in LA and how I
sleep when I'm not in LA because I live in
a really quiet, quiet town. Like, Emma, you live in
New York, I'm not sure you're actually sleeping.
Speaker 3 (11:33):
It's it's pretty mouse quiet where I'm at.
Speaker 2 (11:36):
How is that possible?
Speaker 1 (11:38):
You must have good windows.
Speaker 3 (11:39):
Just lucky. I've got good windows and I'm on a
quiet street.
Speaker 2 (11:43):
Because my friend that lives in New York is also
experiencing some serious menopause symptoms like me, and her husband's
always like open the window, like you're so hot, let's
get more air, and she's like it's so loud. If
they open their window, they won't sleep at all.
Speaker 3 (11:58):
Yeah, for sure.
Speaker 1 (12:09):
Oh my god.
Speaker 2 (12:10):
By the way, I know that Scott and Lauren have
seen each other, but it was interesting that that was
the first red carpet they'd been on the car. They've
obviously seen each other. They did the Walmart thing. They've
seen each other, but that was kind of cool in
like nine years.
Speaker 3 (12:21):
Yeah, it's always good to see them together standing next
to each other, so cute.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
It's like mom and dad, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (12:28):
Totally so cute in my Gilmore Girl's era, great sweatshirt.
We might need an order.
Speaker 1 (12:35):
I'm just saying, oh, this Etsy account right, it's yeah,
is it?
Speaker 2 (12:39):
I think so? It's something called cloth Secret and they
did a gilmart Girls just a clever, sort of oversized sweatshirt.
I feel like maybe we order that Cloth Secret. I mean,
we're putting our gift ideas together. It's fine, we're not
going over the budget. Respect a lot of respect to
Good Housekeeping. Though. Good Housekeeping put together a list of
(13:00):
thirty three best Gilmore gifts for true fans. Now, this
is not our list. We will be curating our own list,
but we're going to I'm gonna just rattle some of
this off so that you can go to Good Housekeeping
to find out more about these. We're gonna put up
IMA's amazing collage, We're gonna put up the lingua franca,
and we can order the in my Gilmour ear. But
(13:23):
here's the ones they like. Now, some of these we
already know about the Advent calendar we'll be getting in
for Valentine's.
Speaker 3 (13:28):
We can't wait.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
We can't wait. A lot of these are from the
Warner Brothers store, the tumblr, the tepot, the monopoly. Now,
I didn't know about this. Gilmour Girls thirteen week, thirteen
month weekly planner. I don't know if we can find that,
but if that would be cool, twenty twenty six. The
Luke's coffee canister. We have the mini chilten backpack, the
(13:50):
scented candle. I'm not doing all thirty three, but I'm
just giving you some Always a Lukes diner, the ice
small snow ornament. I'm a big fan. The trivia. We have,
the cookbook. We have the throw black It salt and
pepper shaker, the mugs always of course, why did you
drop out of Yale Hoodie, Genius Adult Coloring and Activity Book.
(14:10):
I tried that, Oh hap Alien Tour t shirt, Genius toasters,
h Kelly Bishop's book, Lauren Graham's book. Those are probably
the best. So those are just some more items. What
else do we have? What do we what else do
we forget? I feel like we forgot a couple of.
Speaker 4 (14:30):
There's a lot of the stuff that's available at the
Warner Brothers store.
Speaker 2 (14:34):
On the weather Store is iconic, but it's no linguist Ranca. No,
it's not that that is that might be outpacing the beer.
Bradley a weirdo, but these sweaters are iconic.
Speaker 4 (14:45):
But I will say because I preview of the Warner Brothers. Yes,
I know, I looked the lingua frankly two were they
doing two fifty?
Speaker 1 (14:56):
Wow?
Speaker 2 (14:58):
It's good Daniel's on maternity Tara and Suzanne or he
don't tell them, you guys, do not tell Tara and
Suzanne about this. We have to We can't afford five.
We certainly can't afford six.
Speaker 1 (15:11):
But it's for the casseettos.
Speaker 2 (15:13):
Okay, we bring the news. I feel bad. I want
people to know we feel bad that we're not getting
them for them.
Speaker 1 (15:19):
Two seventy five, my bad.
Speaker 4 (15:21):
And then the Chilton one is two ninety.
Speaker 2 (15:25):
We can only get the three of us. You guys,
I feel bad, But don't tell them. Just wear it and.
Speaker 3 (15:30):
Be like we'll just all wear it together, yes.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
And just be like someone gave it to me.
Speaker 1 (15:35):
I don't know, Oh, yeah, they send it to us.
Speaker 2 (15:37):
They got to go to the thingy at the grove.
We didn't get to go to that.
Speaker 1 (15:41):
No, I went to the gro and Suzanne, wait, how
was that?
Speaker 2 (15:45):
Before we go? Let's finish with that.
Speaker 1 (15:47):
How was that? It was so fun. It was very
detail oriented.
Speaker 2 (15:50):
Explain what you mean by detail oriented?
Speaker 4 (15:53):
Every little thing was decorated. Where was it. It was
in the middle of the.
Speaker 2 (15:58):
Grove, like where nordstrom Is are down at the other end.
Nor okay, got it? Got it? Kind of where the
It's almost like a little town center square.
Speaker 1 (16:06):
Put the Christmas tree exactly, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (16:08):
And there were booths or popo.
Speaker 1 (16:10):
It was like a circle is a circle.
Speaker 4 (16:12):
And so you walk in and first you walk into
Luke's Diner and then.
Speaker 2 (16:16):
You walk by the diner indoor outdoor.
Speaker 1 (16:21):
It's like it was indoor. It was a tiny little
it was just a walkway. So it was just a
little square.
Speaker 2 (16:26):
I cannot figure out how they had the room for this.
Speaker 1 (16:28):
Our town meeting.
Speaker 4 (16:29):
It's posted on I Am all In podcast tour I
did and then me and Suzanne go in detail about
everything on the town Meeting episode that already aired and
this week. So it's like you go into Luke's Diner
and then you walk out to loralized jeep and then
you walk over to the che.
Speaker 2 (16:50):
Wait, that's pretty legit was it super crowded.
Speaker 1 (16:51):
I just feel like you are so it's all timed.
Speaker 2 (16:55):
Oh you get like you get a moment to Oh
my god, wait is this what I'm looking at?
Speaker 1 (17:01):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (17:01):
How did they build this whole diner? I cannot figure out?
Oh getting it. It's kind of outdoor. Yes, yes, I
don't know. I did not know they had enough space there.
So you get a ticket. Do you buy a ticket
or it's free?
Speaker 4 (17:14):
No, it's free, but you had to make a reservation
and you get a time to go into the reservation.
Speaker 2 (17:19):
That's why it's not so crowded.
Speaker 1 (17:20):
Well, and we went in cuc and I were able
to go in because.
Speaker 2 (17:23):
It's a VIP thing. Yes, yeah, because it's not crowded.
Speaker 1 (17:27):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (17:28):
Wait, this is a very good video. By the way,
thank you for people that did not watch this video yet.
I highly recommend watching this video. Ya, it's really good.
Speaker 4 (17:37):
But the march was very very cool, and it's just
a preview of what they're going to have during the winter.
Speaker 2 (17:45):
And they made it fall. There's like pumpkins. This is
really cute. And did the diners serve food or was
just for photos?
Speaker 1 (17:51):
There was a coffee and donuts?
Speaker 2 (17:53):
Oh my god, cute? And how long is this up?
Or is it over all?
Speaker 1 (17:57):
Ready it's over. It was October fourth and fifth only.
Speaker 2 (18:00):
This is really cool. Yeah, that was really cool. That
video was definitely worthy.
Speaker 4 (18:04):
