Speaker 4 (00:27):
I hear that good new episode one.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
It's just as good.

Speaker 4 (00:32):
I found myself saying, I hear you, I see Sue.
It is so good, so good.

Speaker 5 (00:38):
So wait, I have wait, Okay, fine read the synopsis.
Then I have a question, an important question.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
So synopsis tries to find a balance between family and
work pressure, Zeke tries to fix a leak in the
guesthouse by himself, and Crosby gets ready to see you
gentlemen and Jabbar who are coming back to visit. Meanwhile,
Christina has her hands full teaching Hattie how to drive.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
Okay, so my first question for you is are my.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
Kids allowed to drive? Evert No, Yeah we can. We're
going to talk about that.

Speaker 5 (01:04):
But my other first question is any inklings of what
could be coming?

Speaker 1 (01:10):
Yeah, I know you're feeling what.

Speaker 4 (01:11):
You're they're gonna little smatarooney.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
I'm not answering, but sure, sure anything else?

Speaker 2 (01:18):
Uh, Joel is gonna go back to work, Lauren is
going to start the internship and she's gonna rah shit.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
Sorry, are you feeling anything with her? Just that she.

Speaker 4 (01:31):
Really wants to work. But I just hope it doesn't
screw over.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
App somehow interesting. All right, So did you see that
was Billy Baldwin?

Speaker 4 (01:38):
H yeah, I did see that. That was That was good?

Speaker 1 (01:40):
How can you? Billy Baldwin is my favorite bald One.

Speaker 4 (01:43):
I think he was great.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
I love Alec. I mean, I like, look, let's rank
the bald Ones.

Speaker 4 (01:49):
You are biased.

Speaker 5 (01:53):
I'm actually not because I love I'm not, uh the
history with the bald Ones.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
Okay, So I think my current rankings are Billy, Alec,
Stephen Daniel.

Speaker 4 (02:06):
And Billy is Haley's mom.

Speaker 5 (02:09):
Stephen is Haley's Yeah, Billy is the one that's married
to China Phillips. Yes, okay, And I see him in
All Around Santa Barbara always. Alec is married to Hilaria,
who I love Hilaria.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
I will you can come at me. I love Hilaria like.

Speaker 5 (02:28):
She's she's been a friend for a long time, not
a long time but years now, and I and she's
a total friend and she is great and Alec is great.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
So yeah, I'm a fan of the bald ones.

Speaker 4 (02:41):
I enjoy Alec in movies. I how can not.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
What's the movie with Meryl Street That.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
It's actually a hard name.

Speaker 5 (02:55):
It's sort of because it's very basic name, kind of
like just like that.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
It's no, it's not no attached, it's like basic.

Speaker 5 (03:03):
It's complicated because I also blur it with the Keanu
Reeves Diane Keaton one because they're similar, you know, the
Jack Nicholson one.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
Did you ever watch the Alec Hilaria reality show? I
need to watch it.

Speaker 4 (03:20):
I did not. I did not.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
It seems like seems like we need to. Yeah, it
seems like we need to. But back to parenthood. So okay,
so interesting theories. Let's begin with the car driving. Okay,
where do you stand on.

Speaker 4 (03:32):
That massive anxiety? Like I can't.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
I would be just like Christina, which is why I
will never teach my kids how to drive. That it's
going to be my husband's job. I would literally I
was watching.

Speaker 4 (03:49):
I was like, oh my god, this is my life
in fifteen years.

Speaker 5 (03:52):
It's not even one of my nieces. So two of
my five nieces have their license.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
I will not.

Speaker 4 (03:58):
Does that terrify you?

Speaker 5 (04:00):
They actually have their license? And I'm like, I know
like Chelsea'll be like.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
Can I drive?

Speaker 5 (04:05):
And I'm like no, I don't think so, And then
like if I do let her drive, I'm like stop stop, did.

Speaker 4 (04:13):
You ever lesson drive you when they had their permit?

Speaker 5 (04:16):
Yes? Of course yes, like in yes, parking lots and
even a little bit on the road.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
But it's also like so terrifying. You really need that break.

Speaker 5 (04:25):
Here's what I recommend, whatever they call it now, safest way,
like the instructional person, Yeah, just do like ten times
the amount you're supposed to, like I think the state
requires you to do, Like I don't know, maybe it's
eight hours or three six hours, just do like twenty hours.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
And I think I'm like maybe a little bit projecting
because I was an awful driver.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
Oh no, are you good driver?

Speaker 2 (04:46):
Now?

Speaker 4 (04:47):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Now, well now I'm like slow whatever. I'm a grandma
when I drive. It's not a big deal. But when
I was in high school, I failed my first license.

Speaker 4 (04:55):
I like that driving test.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
I failed it past the second time, so at least
there's that. But my first day drive, backing out of
the driveway on my way to school by myself, like
so excited finally drive to school. I just back into
a planner like oh yeah, no, just it's just hilarious, Like.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
The wall just jumped out of nowhere. Exactly.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
My very first accident, I rear ended somebody. I mean
it was literally like a two scratches, Like, it wasn't
a it wasn't like a tense accident. But I tried
to convince my dad that somebody hit me from behind,
which is lined. I was like, Dad, someone did a

(05:40):
hit and run and hit you lied behind me and
it made me hit the car in front of me.
And he was like, that's so funny. How did your
car not get one dent on the back right? Like okay, fine,
I'm like.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
No, Lucy hit a pole.

Speaker 5 (05:56):
She was going through the like coffee drive through hit
a pole, And I'm like, how many poles? Because instead
of stopping and realized she had hit a pole and
like reverse so that she could not hit the pole,
she kept going forward so the pole.

Speaker 4 (06:13):
Just kept This is why I get Christina.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
I totally it was so funny. Although knocking off the
side mirror is like kind of a big deal.

Speaker 4 (06:25):
That is a huge deal.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
I mean, I guess in the grander scheme of things
that can happen when you're driving a car. It's not
that big of a deal, but it's still a big deal.

Speaker 5 (06:35):
Can we switch to Peter Krauser for a second. Adam,
I have a question that has thrown me. Okay, I
thought he was sort of like the boss. I sort
of thought he owned the place, and then all of
a sudden, now he's just like really working for Billy
Baldwin and running around like trying to accommodate Billy Baldwin.

Speaker 4 (06:52):
I think he is like a big boss, but like
he has a big boss, Like you are a big boss,
but you also have a boss, right, and I think,
like I have like ten big balls, so you know
what I mean.

Speaker 5 (07:04):
But like he works at the shoe factory that I
almost thought was the Adam Braverman shoe factory. Like I
really thought he owned that place.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
You see him being like an SVP, and well, Billy
Baldwin is right, oh, you know, Like.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
But also where was Billy Baldwin last season?

Speaker 5 (07:20):
Like they obviously were like let's cast Billy Baldwin right right, right.

Speaker 4 (07:24):
But there's a lot here. What what do you what
do you think? Do you think?

Speaker 5 (07:28):
Well, I can remember that I think that something happens
with Sarah Braverman, but I can't totally remember, so I
feel like they First of all, though this is the
confusing part. He so like works for Billy Baldwin, but
yet he can just offer Sarah.

Speaker 1 (07:42):
A job, no problem.

Speaker 5 (07:43):
Thh That was right, like just literally like I can't
even just offer jobs like yeah, there's like a procedure, right.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
But also it's like Billy Baldwin, like, if you were
so concerned about Adam's family problems, why would you let
him hire a family member.

Speaker 5 (07:58):
It's a little confusing, That's what's I'm gonna say. It
just doesn't total a track, right, there's so yeah, been
a little confusing.

Speaker 4 (08:03):
What do you think about Sarah Braverman's idea?

Speaker 1 (08:06):
First of all, I actually think it might exist.

Speaker 4 (08:08):
I mean it's air tag before AirTag exactly.

Speaker 1 (08:11):
I thought it was a good idea.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
That My only again red flag on the play is
all right, you have twenty clickers, I'm not going to
find them, and you label black Vans, the next one
you label white Nike.

Speaker 5 (08:24):
Right, it would need to be like some sort of
universal clicker with like different shoes. It's a failed idea
because it's also really you're going to just find the clicker.
I guess the clicker should stay in a drawer.

Speaker 2 (08:36):
Yeah, I mean again, a lot of parents nowadays do
put air tags and shoes and backpacks and stuff like that,
so it's hard for the best track.

Speaker 5 (08:44):
Of your funniest it's air tracker. Thing I've ever seen
is that my seven year old niece has Pigpig like
her most important stuffy and it just has a full
tracker around that, like.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
Like a thick sort of it has like a home arrest,
like a sweatband.

Speaker 5 (09:05):
It's just wearing a full sweatband around its neck because
it gets lost and they and it's just a big panic.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
So now it's just trackable. That is fully Pig Pig
is just hooked up.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
But what did you think of the whole you know,
Adam at first taking credit, then being like no.

Speaker 1 (09:24):
I was fine with this, and me too, me.

Speaker 5 (09:26):
Too, because it was like I like, they don't she
didn't work there. So like say, say my mom has
a great show idea. I'm not going to go to
ieheart and be like, hi, guys, my mom's got a
great idea. Like I'm going to be like, hey, here's
my idea.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
Do you like it?

Speaker 5 (09:41):
And if they like it, I'll be like thanks so much,
right right, and like sure I can like take my
mom to lunch, you know what I mean, like give.

Speaker 4 (09:49):
For sure, for sure?

Speaker 2 (09:50):
I mean how many ideas my parents have pitched me
and my husband's fished me for podcast ideas that are
sorry sorry family awful.

Speaker 4 (10:00):
But but you're like, Okay, have.

Speaker 1 (10:04):
You told him about listen if you want to.

Speaker 4 (10:05):
No, I have not yet.

Speaker 1 (10:07):
Listen if you want to. I think about it all
the time. By the way, I think about it so much.
Joel and Zeke on the roof, I was laughing. I'm
not gonna lie, but.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
I was happy for their breakthrough because Joel finally puts
his big boy pants on and was like, you know what, Zeke,
you are doing this?

Speaker 4 (10:23):
I low backwards.

Speaker 5 (10:25):
I love when he mutters I'm a licensed contractor, like
under his breath.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (10:31):
And my favorite, it's like the siblings were like, just
you know, give him ideas and make it seem like
they're his ideas.

Speaker 4 (10:39):
That's the way you do it. And he was doing
that and doing it and doing it, and then just
one day he just freaking snapped.

Speaker 1 (10:44):
I love Zeke being in therapy.

Speaker 5 (10:47):
I do too, and then when he does it to
Lauren and Sarah and she's like, oh, She's like, so,
don't do that.

Speaker 4 (10:53):
But I like that. Zeke liked that Joel. I think
he was want like wants that out of Joel, you know,
like he wants.

Speaker 5 (11:01):
He's like, I think he respects it deep down. But
I agree what was going on with.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
Erica Christiansen in this one. I'm trying to.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
Remember sheld on, let me wrack my brain.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
Yeah, why can't we remember? So it's obviously not a.

Speaker 4 (11:25):
Ton So she she she.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
Wants another baby. She wants another baby.

Speaker 2 (11:29):
Oh yeah, that's the big thing at the end, that's right,
The very big thing is where they have the conversation
that was not a conversation about having another baby, but
you can tell, like the wheels were spinning for her
that she wants to have another baby. And yeah, I
hope they have another baby. Though I think, you know.

Speaker 1 (11:47):
I can't answer. We're zipped. Okay, what about did we forget?

Speaker 5 (11:53):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (11:54):
Crosby Jasmin and Minka Kelly. Kelly is so cute.

Speaker 4 (12:01):
Jasmine's really bothering me?

Speaker 1 (12:02):
Well, Jasmine, I don't know, It's like, come.

Speaker 5 (12:05):
On, Jasmine, right, Like I get it. Career versus family.
It's a tough It's a.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
Long story short what happened for those that are catching up.
Jasmine has an audition on the weekend that she's supposed
to go back to visit Crosby h and I love
that Crosby is so excited to see her and it's
putting so much effort into planning out the weekend and oh,

(12:33):
I'm trying to have skype sex.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
It was oh my god, Oh my god. And then
the like WiFi went out of.

Speaker 2 (12:40):
My fear was that he just ran out, like on
the deck of his house. But I was like, what
are you doing, Like go back inside your bowl?

Speaker 1 (12:47):
Hilarious.

Speaker 4 (12:48):
The signal crashed obviously.

Speaker 1 (12:50):
I just thought, Okay, I know I'm jumping.

Speaker 5 (12:51):
But like the Max when jabbar Can is not coming
and they try to explain it to Max and Max
has like the full meltdown and Miga Kelly was like
so good.

Speaker 1 (13:01):
But that was like that was good scene. You're like,
whoa they really Wow?

Speaker 4 (13:06):
The kid that plays Max is a genius. I know
that what his name is Max?

Speaker 1 (13:12):
Max?

Speaker 4 (13:14):
Yeah, he's incredible. Good my god.

Speaker 5 (13:19):
And then Hattie does the sleepover. That was cute and
He's so excited to eat snacks in his room.

Speaker 2 (13:24):
That was so so sweet, and I hope that they
have many more sleepovers.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
But yeah, Kelly's like really good. Right.

Speaker 2 (13:32):
We also have to talk about how Christina and Hattie
we're talking to each other, and you know, Christina had
a very emotional moment where she was like something along
the lines of who's going to take care of you know,
I worry about who's going to take care of Max
when your dad and I are gone, because then she goes, mom,
I will like, don't worry. I will always take care

(13:54):
of Max like he's I'll be here.

Speaker 5 (13:57):
And Hattie will She'll always take care of Max. That's
It's like they have such a cute relationship.

Speaker 4 (14:02):
Right right. I love Hattie. How do you guys like
growing up right before.

Speaker 5 (14:07):
Our eyestt He's great, but she still han't you know,
she's still teating.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
Sure, it's great.

Speaker 5 (14:12):
Every single character is great, and I feel like we're out.
We're coming out season two out the gate strong. It's
just as good as season one.

Speaker 4 (14:21):
We forgot about one storyline.

Speaker 1 (14:23):
Oh god, I'm scared. What did I forget?

Speaker 2 (14:26):
Joel and Julia explaining to Sydney it was hilarious, so funny.

Speaker 1 (14:34):
First of all, the park scene was so funny, and
then she's like, did I come out of a vagina?
Like yelling it?

Speaker 5 (14:41):
But I kind of go with Erica Christensen telling the truth,
and Joel's.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
So like, I know, but you know, I love this
for Julia because I feel like all of season one
Joel was the super parent, right, he really was, and
Julia was too busy to be a parent good because
it was her career and all that stuff. And now
we're really saying like, no, she is cool and she

(15:06):
is a good mom.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
Yeah, that's that is a good note.

Speaker 5 (15:10):
Did we ever see May Whitman very much in this
episode or the brother?

Speaker 4 (15:15):
We saw the brother? I remember seeing Drew.

Speaker 5 (15:18):
Yeah, like one little blip and we saw May Whitman
for a second, but like they didn't have anything major.

Speaker 4 (15:24):
No, nothing major in this episode.

Speaker 5 (15:26):
No, Patti went to visit the office too. We didn't
talk about that, but it's mine. It was funny scene.
She's like, pretend you're driving like everyone was visiting Adam
at work.

Speaker 1 (15:36):
Totally. I mean, the whole episode. I'm gonna give it
a strong I don't know do.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
We rate these I always give him an, Yeah, I know,
I've never had blow and nine Minka Kelly is scaring
me stay away from CROs although Jasmine really annoys me.
So it is what it is. I just don't want
it to screw up anything with Jabbar, you know what
I mean.

Speaker 4 (15:56):
I just I want Jabbar and Crosby to be.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
Solid and just let it play out.

Speaker 4 (16:01):
See, oh my god, we'll let it all play out.

Speaker 1 (16:04):
Good episode, good good.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
Episode, good episode in the next episode. The season two
episodes no good deed, Babyman's out.
