the fits, our favorite characters, where we are highlighting the
crazy ones, the bad ones, the good ones. We're doing

This week, we're doing season one, episode six, Kiss and Tell.

Rory does not tell Loralai about her kiss with Dean,
but I'm gonna tell you about what they wore while
it happened. So listen up, folks, we're diving right in. Okay.
Costume designer once again, Caroline B. Marx. She does the
first I think seventeen episodes of Gilmore Girls, So we're
gonna hear a lot from Caroline Marx. She's responsible for
all the great and not so great fits you see

in this episode and in most of the beginning of
season one. Lorale and Rory. We open with them. They're
walking through Stars Hollow, having a conversation about how much
clean underwear they have left and whether or not they
are wearing underwear right now. Kind of a weird conversation,
but these are some great fall outfits. We're not going

to talk about the underwear, no, we're not. These are
great fall outfits they have on. Laurai is wearing this
nice leather jacket with a burgundy turtleneck shirt. Rory's in
her children uniform, She's got this cool chiltern coat. I mean,
we love saying it, but Gilmore Girls is a fall show.
Gilmore Girls is like the sponsor of fall, and these
outfits are just such great fall outfit inspo. I mean,

you can just watch an episode of this and be like,
this is how I should dress. Once there's a little
bit of a chill in the air and you're starting
to celebrate Thanksgiving like they are in Stars Hollow, and
then we go inside Luke's Diner, and Taylor has got
this cozy sweater with these elbow pads. They look so nice.
That is a cool look. It looks best on a

man of his age, but I think anyone can just
get a nice oversized knit sweater put some leather elbow
pads on there. That is a cozy look. I love
what Taylor's rocking here. Anyway, After Rory gets her surprise
kiss from Dean in the store, we go home to

their home. Lorelai is on the ground trying to fix
her refrigerator and this is another all time wild Lorelei outfit.
Loralai Gilmore has no shortage of crazy fits, uh, and
this is just another one, especially in season one. Okay,

It's like tied I blue and white, and then it's
got some like dark red burgundine near the bottom. There's
some rhinestones on there. Wild shirt. Then she's got these
Diesel jeans. I love Diesel jeans. I used to wear
them so much. I love seeing that little I saw
the stripe with the logo and the label on the

like I think it's like a pocket watch pocket or
a coin pocket. That's what it is on jeans on
like the right pocket of jeans. Diesel has this very
unique like logo label stripe. I can spot it from
a mile away. I saw it in Loralai. It was
very fun to see her wearing Diesel jeans. But then
she's also wearing these like pink loafers and and paired

with a light blue crocheted headscarf. Yeah, a great look
for if you're going to be wrenching on an appliance
in the middle of your home. But you know she's
not putting on a show for anybody. She doesn't have
to get super dressed up. But also just another wild
loreal life fit. Also something I've been wanting to to
say to you guys. We've been doing this for a

few weeks now, we're having a lot of fun. I
consider us to be close friends. I just want to
break down some barriers here, make you aware of something.
I am a colorblind individual. I have a lot of
trouble telling colors apart. And usually when I record this,
I will see something that I like and I always
(05:27):
have to text a picture of it to my wife
and say what color is this so she will tell
me what to say. If I see the wrong color
on here, I'm so sorry. I try to sometimes I
feel good about the way I'm seeing it, but maybe
I'm wrong. I just want to apologize in advance of
that happening. But I was told that this headscarf is
light blue. It looks more lavenderish to me, but I

guess those are pretty similar anyway. Another just a crazy fit,
crazy fit there. Now we're going to Luke's Diner. Another
great Luke moment here, He's wearing a red flannel shirt.
He's got his normal backwards hat. This isn't so much
part of the outfit as an accessory, but it just
really jumped out at me that he has his notepad

that he writes the orders down. He's got his notepad
and his pencil tucked into the front of his jeans.
I have not seen that done before. I've seen the side.
I've seen the back, not the very front, like right
down the middle, right in front of the right behind
the zipper. It seems dangerous but cool. You know, everything
Luke does is cool. And the red flannel looks so

good on him. It really brings out his eyes. I
really like this shirt. He looks so good. He's so
frustrated in this episode though he does not want to
decorate for Thanksgiving. He does not want to conform. He
is not having a good time, but he looks great
while doing it. So Later that night, in this World
of Gilmore Girls, Rory and Lorala have decided they're going

to watch Willy Wonka in the chocolate factory. They're going
to eat a lot of young food. They're gonna eat
a lot of snacks, and they go to the market
to get said snacks, and Lorelei is wearing. What I
think is this is my favorite outfit of the show,
of the episode, this is a great outfit. She's wearing
like a blue plaid western style shirt, white tank top

underneath and layered with a jean jacket. It's a very
cool Jeene jacket. And I'm going to tell you if
you see this outfit too and you like it and
you want to emulate it, I'm gonna tell you how
to do that. It's made by Earle Jean, that is
who made Lorelei's jacket. There are a ton of these
on eBay, on Poshmark, on deepop there. Just search Earl Jean,

Gilmore Girls. You will find it because this is a
jacket that was mass produced and a lot of people
were able to recognize it as being from Gilmore Girls,
so it's pretty easy to find. Like, I want the
one from Gilmore Girls. I'm seeing them go for like
fifty sixty bucks. You can also get some dupes on Amazon.
Just search Earl Jean Jean Jacket. You'll you'll find it

pretty damn affordable. It's a very cool Jeene jacket. And Laura,
I look, it looks so good. With her like western shirt.
I really love this outfit, especially like God talk about
the whiplash of seeing her tied I rhinestone and headscarf
just a few moments ago and actually got this like
actually very chic outfit on. It's you know, the the

range of Laura like Gilmore is not to be underestimated.
So let's before we get into this next part, actually,
before we get into what happens when they're at their
house watching really want get in the chocolate factory. I'm
going to throw it to some friends. They're sitting here
in the room with me, and they're going to tell
you about some goods, some services that I think you'll

is stars hollow style. There's so many great outfits in
this episode. Where were we? We were at the night
of the movie night, Rory and Laura are going to

watch Willi Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Loura has taken
it upon herself to invite Dean to their house to
watch the movies, the first time Dean has come to
their house. Dean and Rory have not been on a
date yet, like a proper date, but lors she wants

to make sure if any funny business is happening, she
is supervising it. She heard about this kiss through other channels.
She does not I appreciate that she wants to make
sure Rory feels safe and comfortable sharing things like that
with her With her mother, She's invited Dean to the house,
so Laura helps Rory, uh get dressed for this, and

Rory's like very stressed out about how to prepare to
go on this is basically a date. I know that
her mom's there, but it's kind of a date and
she doesn't know how to get ready. H But what
she ends up wearing is great. It's a it's a
really it's another fantastic Gilmore Girls Fall fit. We've got
this cozy looking burgundy sweater, these black pants, and then
oh man, that baby G watch is back, that pink

baby g uh g watch. It's it's nice and chunky.
It's so cool. This is a staple. Rory wears this
watch all the time. You now, the exact one is
kind of hard to hunt down, but you can get
a new version of it on the Cassio website. Right now.
There's it's it's has some like sparkly accents around the

watch face, so it's not the exact one that Rory wears,
but it's pretty dang close. And you can get them
brand new for one hundred and twenty bucks. Pretty cool
if you want a baby g watch. They're timeless. They
never go out of style. So the rest of the episode,
we're here at the house, you know, watching Billy walking
the chocolate factory and hanging out with Dean and Rory

and Laurali. They they don't change. I mean they see
in these outfits of the rest of the episode. So
the scope of what I do is kind of limited
from this point on. But before we get into our
final thoughts here, I do want to point out this
show we talk about fashion. We talk about their clothes,
but I personally I love snacks. I love treats. Seeing

the spread they had at this for this movie night
was remarkable, just so many good They had Popcora and
they had all kinds of candy that I just really
want to point out. They had a nice big bowl
of red vines. They were, by my what I could see,
they were red vines of liquorics. They didn't look like twizzlers.
To me, those looked like red vines. I am a

redvine fanatic. I love that they decanted the red vines.
They took them out of the box, out of the packaging,
put them in this bowl. Man, I wish I could
be there. I want to eat those red vines while
watching Willy Wonka with my friends Rory and Larelai and Dean. Anyway,
this was a It was a fun episode. This is
a great fall outfit episode. If we're going to go
back and pick the best one, actually, let's do the

worst one first. Let's do that with the worst outfit.
It made me laugh, but it's got to be Laurrela
is fixing the refrigerator outfit. I mean, wild, how much?

what I want to know. I think a lot. I
know it that it was two thousand when this was

refrigerator in. That's probably the worst outfit. The best also
