Speaker 1 (00:00):
Why I Am parissed. Hi everyone, and welcome back to
another episode of I Am paris I am back with

(00:21):
Alex Cooper for our final interview, and now we're going
to talk about the future.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Let's do it. I'm so happy to be here.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Yes, so you've been sharing parts of your wedding plans
with your fans, but obviously keeping some of the details private.
So let's do some rapid fire wedding questions.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Oh my god, I'm so scared because you guys like
I literally I don't know. I'm happy though, because after
I got back from tour, I was like, Okay, I
need to start really focusing on my wedding. But like,
ask me what you got to ask me? But I
can't promise I have an answer because I'm kind of
a disaster right now.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
I can totally relate because I was the same one.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Okay, Okay, okay, fabulous. Yes, let's do our best or
we'll just make something up. Yes, Okay, do you have
a date set? I do have a date set. It's
going to be in the spring. So thank god we
set the date. God bless, I love it.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
Did you settle on a location?

Speaker 2 (01:19):
We did? I was so insane on where to pick
the location, Like it started to drive Matt insane, where
he was like, I'm going to just remove myself from
the conversation because you're talking to yourself at this point.
So you figure out location and then I'll handle the rest.
And I thought I wanted like a winter wonderland vibe,

(01:41):
like I love Christmas time and I love all of
the like snow and just I love skiing, and so
I was like winter. But then I'm like, no, I
want to like show my arms at my wedding and
like be in a cute dress, Like I don't want
to be freezing because like I'm always cold, So I'm
like that doesn't sound exciting to me. Like the concept
of being in the snow, I'm like, I want to

(02:02):
be in ten layers and bundled up, but that is
not possible in a wedding dress. So I decided no
to the winter location. And then the journey began and
I was just all over. Like I remember, I found
this place like BlackBerry Farm in Tennessee, where we have
absolutely no ties to like Tennessee or like why would

(02:23):
we be in Tennessee, But like I thought it looked
pretty and then I remember being like, should we do
it in London and Paris? And I was all over
and then finally I decided I wanted to do something
more tropical. I feel like, for me, I'm really not
looking for like this grand, large wedding. I wanted to
be pretty small and I want to just have like

(02:43):
all of my best friends and family there, and I
wanted to feel like a weekend that everyone can get
away and like be in a tropical location. And then
we just happened to be getting married, like I wanted
to be so subtle and chill. So that is right
now we've settled on tropical. We didn't Yeah, is.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
Our style dress you thought that you would love but
you ended up hating?

Speaker 2 (03:03):
Paris? Help. I have been having not even a mental breakdown.
I've just been like avoiding it because I have there
is not one image or vision in my head of
a dress. I have no idea what I want to wear.
And so I went and tried on a couple and

(03:24):
I just didn't like anything, and I just felt like
I didn't I think I thought I wanted to go
kind of simple. I really thought like I'm not someone
that wants to go over the top, so let's just
try simple. And I tried the simple dresses on, and
I think because I do often have to like get

(03:44):
dressed up and go to events, like I literally felt
like it was so anti climactic almost like I was like, wait,
it doesn't feel like I'm getting this is another day
like going. Yeah, it was boring for me. And every
time I see pictures of people in simple dresses and
like they look beautiful, elegant, classic time amazing. But for me,
I was surprised to see that, like the simple classic

(04:05):
wasn't really doing it. So now I'm on a journey
and I'm gonna try to figure this out. But it's
so stressful and I don't know how people do it,
Like I can't imagine if I was being a bridezilla
and I like this is this is like all I
cared about, Like I would be a mess because it's
really stressful. So I'm just trying to let myself be
like I'll try on a dress eventually and it will come.

(04:27):
But I called my stylist and I was like, I
think I just need you to handle it for me,
like find something that you think I'll look good in
and just figure it out. Because like I'm kind of
just I'm not giving up, but I just know myself,
like I don't have a vision, so someone else needs
to have the vision for me. I think that's okay.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
Definitely check the weather because if it's like one of
those dresses where it's so hot and then you're in
the tropical place and it's like humid, oh my god,
I'm the spray tan and then you're Yeah, the spray
tan's like melting onto the dress. So it's good to
get like a real tan and suff of a spray tann.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
That's god.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
I got it the night before the wedding and I
haven't been in a tanning bed in like fifteen years,
but I did it.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
We really, yeah, because the spray tan will come off. Yeah,
how did you pick your wedding dress? Actually, tan Lux
makes the clear one that doesn't have the okay, the
orange stuff in it. Oh amazing, there we go.

Speaker 1 (05:19):
Yeah, I picked my dress. My sister helped me. I
was like, Nikki, what do I wear? And one of
our best friends is the designer for Oscar Delaurenta, so
he just custom made it.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
Okay, I'm gonna call Nikki. Nikki my name's Alex, Friends
with Paris, and I need your help. I'm lost. Please
don't make me call my therapist. I'm starting to lose it. No,
that's that's helpful. Yeah, I think outsourcing to some other
woman to be like help me with this, because I
think when you're the bride of yourself, you kind of
just you have other things to focus on. So I'm
just like, someone helped me pick a dress, but no,

(05:52):
I don't have a vision yet.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
I'm gonna do a couple of different ones, yeah, like
a couple of after party yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
Like yeah, that's what I definitely know, is like I
want multiple looks. It's just the main dress. Like everything
else I kind of envision, Like I have a couple
vintage ideas of what I would want, but the main dress,
I am just trying to figure that out.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
So God bless, just take pictures of all your favorite
things and kind of put them on a mood board
and show your stylists, and I feel like then he'll know.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
I'm going to do that.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
Tonight.

Speaker 2 (06:21):
I'm gonna have some wine and I'm gonna sit and
I'm gonna put the whole thing together and I'm gonna send.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
It go on like interest and like search like wedding bread,
and then it will have like cute ideas.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
Thank you Paris. That is actually very helpful, Like I
need to stop procrastinating.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
Okay, I'm the same way. So it's a lot. Are
your dogs coming to the wedding?

Speaker 2 (06:49):
Oh my god, absolutely I was. There is no option.
They were part of the engagement. And there's such a
huge part of my life that I genuinely can't imagine
getting married and not having Henry and Bruce there. Like
I said, there are boys, like there are children, So
I think they're going to have fun, and like I
think it will just it will just feel weird if

(07:09):
they weren't there. And I know it's going to take
a couple extra people coming to like make sure they're
good and handling them, but like I don't care. I
just I want them there, and I want them to
see their mom and their dad get married and they
have their tuxedos, still have their full tux seedos on,
and then maybe we'll put like little party outfits on
them after and they need to be a part of
the photos. Like it's they are our life right now,

(07:30):
and I want to look back and remember that and
I know that, like it makes me almost want to cry.
Like dogs don't obviously live as long as we want
them to, and they're our best friends, and so I'm like,
I want to be able one day to show my
kids like photos and be like this is Henry and
this is Bruce and their brothers. Yes, yes, they came
before you and we loved them, so don't be a

(07:51):
little sacked, right, okay, exactly.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
My little boy loves the dogs so cute.

Speaker 2 (07:58):
That is so nice. You must have been like, oh
that they got along, because you never know. And he
loves them.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
He loves them. He gets so excited and so good.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
How's your baby girl?

Speaker 1 (08:07):
She's just so sweet. Oh it's the best?

Speaker 2 (08:09):
Old is she now?

Speaker 1 (08:10):
A few weeks? A few weeks? Oh my god?

Speaker 2 (08:12):
So she's like new worn. Oh my god, congrats for you.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
Do you want to have kids?

Speaker 2 (08:19):
And I think I'm trying to figure that out with
Matt right now. Like I feel so I feel so
truly fortunate that I'm like in a financial place where
I can even think about that, being in my twenties
and like wondering, like I just I just feel like wow,

(08:40):
like my life so much has happened in the past
couple of years that has allowed me to even think
about that and not be stressed. And so I definitely,
I definitely want kids. And I think something has recently
changed in me. And I don't know if this has
happened for you, but like something all of a sudden
recently has just kind of started to give me baby fever,
and I'm just starting to see myself more and like

(09:01):
that maternal light that years ago I would have been
like I don't even know if I want to be
a mom, Like I really didn't even know, like do
I want kids? Like I was one of those people
at one point in my life that was like maybe
I don't want kids, And in the past couple of
years that definitely shifted. But now this past year, I've
been like kind of getting like whoa, I think, yeah,
I mean, I don't know how soon, but I definitely

(09:23):
don't think it would it would be like years and years.
Like I'm I think I'm kind of starting to think
like what if, which is exciting.

Speaker 1 (09:32):
Yeah, when you meet the one, then it's exciting.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
It is it's You're so right. It makes it so
much easier to like envision a life and with someone
and raising children is no easy feat and I think
some people like rush into things, and I think I
really wanted to make sure I was in a stable, healthy,
happy relationship before I brought kids into the picture, because

(09:55):
I think a lot of people think that kids will
fix things, when really it just makes everything more difficult.
And if you go in with not like a strong bond,
then that's I think a huge part of how marriages
can end because you never had like a stable foundation,
and your relationship isn't priority number one almost at that

(10:16):
point like your children are, and of course it's a priority.
But like I think, I'm really fortunate that I know
Matt will be the best dad ever. Like I just
look at him sometimes and his sister just had a baby,
and the way he is with his nephew is I
want to cry every time I see him holding this baby,
Like he looks like he's already a dad. Like Matt

(10:37):
is like in dad mode immediately, and he's so good
with kids, And it just makes me so happy to
be with someone that I'm not scared at all. I
know I have a partner that will be there every
step of the way for me. So definitely, like I
feel like women listening like a huge part should be
if you are going to do it with a partner,
like I would say, like do it on your own

(10:59):
aside from doing it partner. That's like a piece of
like I know so many women go through it where
like you think you're gonna start with this solid person,
they leave you like you either rely on yourself or
know that you can buy also on that partner, because
if it's going to be a partnership, like it should
feel equal and obviously the mom does more sure, but
like it shouldn't feel that way. They should make up

(11:19):
for it. So I know with Matt, he's gonna like
pull his weight and be a good dad.

Speaker 1 (11:23):
Yes you can't it. Well, I'm so happy for you
and Matt.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
They seem like happier than ever and glowing and machine
good luck on the dress. If you need any advice.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
I'm gonna be calling you. I know I'm gonna be.
I guess I'm gonna be calling you to then connect
with Nicky though I'm like Paris, you have no idea
what's going on? Call Nicky, Let's get her.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
On the phone.

Speaker 2 (11:47):
No, thank you so much for having me and I
know we like recently just started to meet and connect
and to hang out. But I really just I think
you're such an amazing person and it's so cool to
meet someone like you in person, to spend time with you,
because I feel like so many people I'm sure that
listen to your podcast wish they could meet you, and
I do want to just say, like, you are even

(12:08):
better of a human being in person, Like you are everything.
I said something to the other like the other day
to someone they were like, oh my god, how was
it being Paris Hilton, And I'm like, she is the nicest,
most genuine person, Like you have no mean girl energy.
You're such a girl's girl. Like You're so warm and
inviting and being who you are. It is intimidating to
come into your house and meet you and wonder like

(12:30):
what you're going to be like. And I'm just so
happy I met you because you are everything and more so,
thank you so much for everything.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
Thank you you.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
I love you, Love you, love you. This is so fun.
