Speaker 5 (02:13):

like smooth. It comes in glass, so it doesn't have
any I'm parento about the.
Speaker 5 (02:20):
Plastic comes in glass, in glass. It's made in Austin, Texas,
not that I I mean.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
That's where she is right now.
Speaker 3 (02:26):
Then go and pay and patronize. Patronized, patronize, you're patronized.
Patronize when you're crappy. Okay, I'll take your coffee. No,
it's no, it's just like really good, dark cold coffee
that's so smooth. They they brew they brew it in
a special way where the city is really low.
Speaker 5 (02:46):

Speaker 3 (03:10):
You put a little little maple syrup, a little bit
of half and half and a little bit of Creeman.
Don't tell Sue that I'm telling you all this because
she's probably as a trainer. She's probably like, and then
I'm like, why aren't my workouts working anyway?
Speaker 5 (03:22):
But I have tons of energy.
Speaker 3 (03:24):

Speaker 3 (03:36):
No, the one the coconut oil that gives you an
mct mct oil.
Speaker 5 (03:40):

Speaker 3 (03:53):
I'm gonna be like, yeah, I have three kids, and
I'm tired too.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
I have no kids, and I'm exhausted. I'm telling you
it's not need to do children. I've just been You're
just always tired. You hit an age and you're always tired.
Speaker 3 (04:04):
My friends who kind of wanted kids, but they didn't
get around a meeting the right person or whatever. They
are a little bit jealous sometimes, but I'm like, are
you kidding me?
Speaker 5 (04:13):
What did you do today?
Speaker 3 (04:14):
They're like, I just slept all like eleven or whatever,
and then I got up and when I had brunch
with my friend and I'm like.
Speaker 5 (04:18):
I hate you.
Speaker 3 (04:19):
Yeah, They're like, have you seen the many the docusies?
Speaker 6 (04:23):
Am?
Speaker 5 (04:23):
I haven't seen anything.
Speaker 3 (04:24):
I've seen the first three thirty seconds of a lot
of great shows where I'm like, this is really.
Speaker 6 (04:30):
You know.
Speaker 3 (04:31):
Anyways, so I started, it's always like rezoom watching or
start over. It's like, you know, just to you know,
I'm going to start over anyway.
Speaker 6 (04:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (04:38):
Anyway, Well, thank you for joining us.
Speaker 4 (04:41):
Happy to be here.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
We're so happy to have it. Yes, this is so
so I don't know if you're aware. So we want
to talk obviously about some of your the stuff that
you've done, but you are here as a celebrity judge.
Speaker 5 (04:52):
Oh yes, we're going to crush some dreams.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
Well yes, in this super awesome contest to become the
next big voice actor. We are in round six.
Speaker 5 (05:03):
Oh wow, they must be so they're really good.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
We had over forty two hundred entries, which is pretty great.
So what we are going to be doing is we
play a game. So we're in round one. We are
going from our top sixteen. We are going to which
we've called the Sweet sixteen. We coined that phrase to
then the Elite eight trademark. We did that too, Yes,
(05:28):
we did that as well. So we're in round six
and we are playing a wonderful game called by the Numbers.
So what by the Numbers is going to be is
we are going to have you randomly select a number
of numbers. Thank you very much, which is why I stumbled.
So the four categories that we have are size, what
are you, age, and a wacky attribute, and by the
(05:51):
numbers that you pick, we will then create a character
for our two guests to go head to head. They've
been given two lines of dialogue and then they will
take the numbers that you've given them. We will create
the character and they will have to do the lines
of dialogue in the characters that you have created for
them randomly. We will let them do it once and
(06:11):
then we will all hopefully you can give them some
notes to help them what you think they should do.
For the next round, we will give them some notes,
they'll try it again, and then we do that two
or three times, and then we pick who gets to
move on to the elite eight. It is a ton
of fun. Number up to well, you'll see. So yeah,
so when we get there, we'll because they're different for
(06:31):
each category, so it's going to be a ton of fun.
Speaker 5 (06:33):
I used to read ahead in class.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
In case you didn't not, I can tell you're that
one who blew the curve. Thank you, Grant. It's like, oh, hey,
well Greg got one hundred again, thank you the front row. Okay,
very quickly before we bring in our wonderful contestants. You
are awesome and have been in everything. As I'm reading
the stuff that you've done, other than the Grammys, which
(06:56):
we won't talk about because there's too much going on there.
What Simpsons. I don't even know what's going to happen.
I don't know what to start. I don't know where
to start. Let's put it this way. If somebody said
to you, hey, Gray, what part do you want to
be known for? What are you most proud of? How
would you answer that? Oh, gosh right, it's like picking
(07:18):
your favorite child.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
Well, I'd be like that that's lame celebrities, because like
I just want to be known as a great mother.
Speaker 5 (07:25):
It's like, no, that's not what I want to be
known as.
Speaker 1 (07:27):
No, it was one of those I have.
Speaker 7 (07:32):
Well.
Speaker 3 (07:32):
Azula on Avatar The Last Airbender was one of my
best performances.
Speaker 5 (07:35):
I have to say.
Speaker 3 (07:36):
She was so fun being a fourteen year old sociopath
and I got to you know, just you know, like
burn people with lightning, you know. And I still do
conventions as you know, well every weekend.
Speaker 5 (07:47):
I fly on a plane on Fridays and go do.
Speaker 1 (07:49):
That ye and with a line around the corner.
Speaker 3 (07:53):
And jeepers, you know. Daphney Blake was really fun too,
and I still do that all the time. And they're
still making new new scoopy move these and we just
did a I Am. We just did a pinball machine
that was fun cool. We actually have the pinball machine
in our house. I didn't realize how expensive those are.
I was like, oh, this is the only way I
would ever have one of these, or like twenty thousand dollars. Anyway,
(08:14):
I have an old one from the seventies that I
got off Craigslist for like three hundred dollars and I
thought that was too much.
Speaker 1 (08:19):
Hold on, hold on everything, that's hold on every What
about the Simpsons? Oh yes, oh yes, I love that.
Oh yeah, oh and the Simpsons too. That's why do
you know your career is the next level when it's
oh yeah.
Speaker 3 (08:32):
The I'm still starstruck every time because we started, you know,
we used to record all separately during the before times,
and now it's all on zoom, which and I had
never really you know, they'd have a party every now
and again, but I do. You don't see those people,
you know, now they're on the zoom and I'm like, oh.
Speaker 7 (08:47):
Oh my goodness, Hank Azaria is on my zoom.
Speaker 5 (08:50):
Whoa, It's so exciting. My grandmama, am I we're big fans.
No anyway, Yeah, I played mar Prints on The Simpsons.
Speaker 3 (08:58):
And also a Little Twins and like, bye, you're so weird,
get out of here.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
I just Sherry and Terry, those two little twins share.
I love that. Oh yeah, the Simpsons.
Speaker 3 (09:08):
But you know, I took that role over for the
lovely and talented Rusie Taylor, who I just adore and
she's passed on, but she was a dear, dear friend
of mine and was one of the pioneers of voiceover
and lived to a ripe bold age. But and she
she was married to Minnie. I mean she was I'm sorry,
she was married to Mickey Mouse. She was, Yes, she
(09:29):
was just a doll.
Speaker 1 (09:31):
And he only talked to me as Mickey Mouse. Every
time I met him, he goes, how's everything going, And
I'm like, fine, how are you? Was like, oh, I'm
just here doing my work. All right, everybody, let's get
into it.
Speaker 8 (09:43):
Now.
Speaker 1 (09:43):
We've got our contestants here, and we are going to
be starting with our contestant from Florida named Alwen, and
Alan is going to be joining us right now. We're
going to learn a little bit about Alwen before we
jump into the wonderful, super awesome contest to become the
next big voice actor, which is okay, the name of
the contest, of course.
Speaker 4 (10:00):
Very short, and I think we should add a few
more words.
Speaker 1 (10:02):
And now that the super awesome contest to become the
next super awesome, amazing content to where your career.
Speaker 5 (10:06):
Can go so well that you editors editor in the budget.
Speaker 1 (10:10):
There is not there is not all right, Alan, are
you here? Are you here? Can you join us?
Speaker 9 (10:15):
Yes?
Speaker 10 (10:15):
I'm here?
Speaker 1 (10:16):
Hey, Hell are great. We are great. I am Wilfordell.
This is Christy Carols Romano, and we are joined today
by the illustrious, the amazing Gray Griffin. Okay, Delile, Gray,
I have.
Speaker 3 (10:32):
A lot of names, married many times, but I'm back
to Delile now and I'm not getting married again.
Speaker 5 (10:36):
That's it.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
I'm okay, good Delia. Well, I think I just like it.
It's like share. I think it's just Gray.
Speaker 5 (10:41):
Yeah, thank you, there you go.
Speaker 1 (10:43):
So Alan, what, curiously, what made you want to be
a voiceover actor?
Speaker 9 (10:48):
Sure, I'm a huge fan of animation. I've been since
I was a child, and just being able to create
a character out of just your voice was fascinating to me.
And to to like search a lot of the greats
that have done it, and to just be able to
have a repertoire of so many different voices and ranges,
I thought it was amazing.
Speaker 1 (11:09):
So I wanted to do it too.
Speaker 9 (11:10):
And I want to be able to have a voice
on a show one day so I could show my
friends and my kids in the future, like you know what,
we can make things happen.
Speaker 3 (11:19):
Yes, speaking voice too, Like you could definitely do commercials.
You've already got like a really nice, easy on the
ears speaking voice.
Speaker 1 (11:26):
So thank you. I appreciate that that happens.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
Oh a lot of people because a lot of agents
won't take you if you just do cartoon voices. They
want you to be able to cast you and commercials too,
and you already got that in the bag.
Speaker 5 (11:35):
So this is good. This is all good.
Speaker 1 (11:37):
There you go. Now do you have your first two
lines of dialogue? I do all right? Perfect. We will
be back with you to start round one of the
super awesome contest to be the next big voice actor.
Thanks Allen. And next up we have, of course, I
believe it is Haleen from North Carolina? Is Haleen with us? Hileen?
Speaker 10 (11:58):
HII? What part?
Speaker 6 (12:00):
Well?
Speaker 5 (12:00):
Where are you from?
Speaker 10 (12:02):
Technically Wendell, but no one knows why.
Speaker 5 (12:06):
Those towns?
Speaker 1 (12:07):
Yeah, exactly that it's another town for Christy and I
are from Connecticut. And you would always peop would always
sa where you from? Like where? What's like? Can you
go in between Boston and New York?
Speaker 5 (12:18):
Where would I fly in if I wanted to see you?
Speaker 1 (12:21):
Exactly? Heleen? How are you? I'm Will? This is Christy
and we are joined today by Gray Delile, who is
one of the best ever, so you are in good
hands today, Haleen. And so what uh, what made you
want to be a voiceover actor?
Speaker 10 (12:37):
So my name is Eileen. Actually it's in Spanish.
Speaker 1 (12:39):
Oh I'm sorry, Eileen, Geez.
Speaker 3 (12:42):
I should have known that I'm I'm half Mexican Eileen.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
Okay, there you go, I apologize, Iileen, of course, of
course it is Why did now, Eileen? Why did you
want to become a voiceover actor?
Speaker 6 (12:54):
To kind of keep it short and simple, I've always
been a creative and I started doing boys online with
like comic dups in the eighth grade. I got the
first audition using a Apple like wired mic on a
Captain Hall club. So there was that, And you know,
did theater musical in high school. And I've always wanted
to become an actress, so I do film acting as
(13:16):
of right now.
Speaker 10 (13:17):
That's more of my main goal, okay.
Speaker 6 (13:19):
And boys acting has always also been another thing that
I always wanted to go back to since I had
the most fun with it. So I got my mic,
got it all set up, and here we are.
Speaker 1 (13:29):
That's awesome. Well then, yeah, I mean you've got the
when you've got every kind of category set up, the
you know, on camera and it's You're on your way, Aileen,
You're on your way. So do you do you have
your two lines of dialogue?
Speaker 10 (13:43):
Yes, I got a principle.
Speaker 1 (13:44):
Okay, perfect, So we will be back with you. Your fellow
contestant got got in first, so we start with whoever
joins first, and we will be right back with you
to start the contest. Eileen, thank you so much. All Right,
(14:07):
here we go, everybody round one. Let's bring Alan back in.
Speaker 4 (14:11):
Wait, Gray, you know where we're playing by the numbers?
Speaker 1 (14:14):
Yeah, okay, Hey, there we go. Allen, how are you?
And as you know, we are going to be playing
by the numbers here and what we do is Grey
Deliah will be picking some numbers for us and that
will create your character. We will then give you your
line of dialogue that you have to do in the character.
That was just creative. We'll give you some notes, let
(14:34):
you do it again and move on from there. So
the categories are again size, what are you? Age? And
a wacky attribute. So here we go, Gray, if you
would please, could you give me a number between one
and six six? Could you now give me a number
between one and twelve.
Speaker 5 (14:55):
Nine?
Speaker 1 (14:57):
And now, if you would please a number between one
and seven three, and finally a number between one and eleven.
Speaker 5 (15:07):
Four.
Speaker 2 (15:08):
Christy, Okay, you are going to be a microscopic alien
who's ten years old in the middle of an allergic reaction.
Speaker 1 (15:21):
Do you want it? You want to hear it again?
Are you you all say.
Speaker 2 (15:24):
You are a microscopic ten year old alien who's in
the middle of having an allergic reaction?
Speaker 1 (15:34):
All right, you ready, Allen at your pleasure?
Speaker 6 (15:42):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (15:42):
Oh wait, Allen, we gotta stop you real quick.
Speaker 5 (15:44):
You're so good that you've blow out the system.
Speaker 1 (15:47):
Try to if you're just a much deeper register, see
what happens.
Speaker 11 (15:50):
Hey, I live here in my home life. So when
we tell you the best place to eat, it's called
Bes Barbecue and Middle Salon. Oh you it's the best
meals long this side of the Mississippi. Oh it's pretty
good too.
Speaker 1 (16:08):
That works. We were able to hear that, which is nice. Great.
Do you have any notes?
Speaker 3 (16:14):
I didn't hear the nervous breakdown part. He just seemed
like he was pretty relaxed and happy. Do you think
you could give it to us with the nervous breakdown?
Speaker 1 (16:21):
Was it allergic reaction?
Speaker 3 (16:22):
I'm sorry? The sorry maybe I'm having one of the
other things. Yeah, I didn't hear it with the panic attack,
oh okay, but yeah, with the allergic.
Speaker 5 (16:34):
Reaction, maybe if you could put that in.
Speaker 3 (16:35):
Your voice somehow, like I don't know, swollen mouth or
like I don't know, trouble.
Speaker 1 (16:40):
Breathing or you know. Sure, Christy, do you have any notes? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (16:44):
I liked the cadence.
Speaker 2 (16:46):
I liked that you felt young to me and you
felt tiny still and we could hear you. But yeah,
I guess in addition to you having either sneezing or
whatever else you might think, Ronnie knows to having an
allergic reaction, a coughing, something like that, just putting that
sort of like personality into that little character.
Speaker 11 (17:06):
Yeah, most definitely, most definitely.
Speaker 1 (17:08):
I don't have anything to add to that. I think
it's all been covered. So why don't we try it
one more time? Alwen and at your pleasure?
Speaker 11 (17:16):
All my life? So let me told you placed.
Speaker 1 (17:24):
Yeah, Unfortunately, we're Yeah, we're still having all the technical issues.
Speaker 2 (17:28):
I heard the first part of that, which it seemed
like he really had the like.
Speaker 1 (17:32):
Ye, the allergicy action part.
Speaker 3 (17:33):
Yeah, he took Eileen's in the background, going yes, don't celebrate,
Eileen is not. But really his facial expressions were awesome,
and I could tell that like what I did here
seemed on point.
Speaker 1 (17:50):
Yes, we are just going to have to find our
way around the technical issues unfortunately, but hold on with us, Allen,
and we will come back to you for the next line.
Let's go to Eileen. Oh, it's such a shame if
we get we got to figure out these technical issues.
There we go, Eileen, how are you.
Speaker 10 (18:06):
Okay? A little bit nervous, but we're here.
Speaker 1 (18:08):
That's all right. We're here and we are pushing forward.
So we're going to be starting with line one, and
we're going to be creating your character. So a Gray,
if you could do me a favor and give me
a number between one and six two, and now if
you would a number between one and twelve one, and
now a number between one and seven six, and now
(18:31):
finally a number between one and eleven ten.
Speaker 2 (18:35):
Christy, you are a big dog who's sixty years old
and afraid of your own shadow. You're a big dog,
sixty year old.
Speaker 5 (18:47):
Dogford, are you?
Speaker 4 (18:51):
I'm afraid of your own shadow? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (18:56):
All right, Eileen, you got it.
Speaker 6 (18:58):
The big dog sixty and of shadow, afraid of your
own shadow shadow.
Speaker 4 (19:03):
You're scaredy cat dog.
Speaker 1 (19:05):
Or a scaredy dog as it were, and almost elderly
scaredy dog.
Speaker 4 (19:09):
Okay, sixty elderly?
Speaker 1 (19:11):
Come on, hey, I said almost elderly. I said, almost elderly.
I got an email yesterday asking me if I wanted
to join the ARP. I'm not even getting into I'm
getting some mail too.
Speaker 5 (19:22):
That's very upsetting.
Speaker 1 (19:23):
All right, Eileen, at your pleasure.
Speaker 7 (19:27):
Hi, I've lived here all my life. So let me
tell you the best place to eat. It's Cold Day's
Barbecue nail salon. But don't let the name throw you.
Is the best nail salon side of town of the Mississippi. Sorry.
Speaker 10 (19:46):
The food's pretty good too.
Speaker 1 (19:47):
All right, Gray, any notes?
Speaker 5 (19:49):
I like it.
Speaker 3 (19:50):
I wanted to hear a little bit more of the size.
Didn't they say you were really big?
Speaker 10 (19:56):
I'm a small person.
Speaker 3 (19:59):
Oh, I know yours person, but to be like, I
think pretty big? Am I getting them adjectives wrong?
Speaker 5 (20:05):
I feel like, no, no, you are.
Speaker 2 (20:07):
She's a big she's a big sixty year old dog.
So she's like a mature woman.
Speaker 3 (20:12):
And oh I thought it was like a really giant dog. Okay, yes,
so maybe just a big dog.
Speaker 4 (20:17):
Big dog, so what like a Rattweiler.
Speaker 5 (20:19):
Or not Clifford size, just like a regular Okay.
Speaker 4 (20:22):
Yes, and believe me, we have that option too.
Speaker 2 (20:26):
We have giant as one of our options. So I
guess it's big. And then sixty meaning you're mature woman.
And then yeah, I mean, like I think with mature woman.
We've had this on another contestant time where we were like,
you know, just use your actual voice in terms of
it being like sometimes when we put on.
Speaker 4 (20:46):
The characters, I feel like we pitch them.
Speaker 2 (20:48):
Higher, but unintentionally, you know, just to feel like the
energy is there. But you can still have a lot
of energy even as a mature woman with maybe like
the anticipation of something about to like scare you. Someone's
about to like run in the room and like kill
you or something crazy. So it's just like you're scared,
you just don't know how to react to it. Or
(21:08):
maybe you work at like a bank, you know, and
and you work at a bank and like a dog bank.
Speaker 4 (21:13):
I don't know, I'm the worst.
Speaker 1 (21:14):
Wow, you're just giving weird backstory.
Speaker 4 (21:19):
This whole time.
Speaker 1 (21:20):
I just know because I agree, I think I think
it should you know, I want to hear a little
more scared and a little uh more uh age or
a little more size, I should say.
Speaker 6 (21:30):
That.
Speaker 1 (21:30):
Being said, I like the idea of putting putting uh
the Southern accent on it. That was something you didn't
have to do. But I liked hearing the the I
love the dialect. So uh yeah, I think just give
it another shot and maybe play a little bit more
scared and see how we go with there. Okay, all right,
so go ahead anytime.
Speaker 7 (21:47):
Hey, I've lived here all my laugh, so let me
tell you the best place to eat.
Speaker 10 (21:54):
It's called Dave's barbecuban hail salon. Don't let the name
throw you.
Speaker 7 (21:59):
It's the best nail salon this side of the Miss Sissippi.
Speaker 6 (22:03):
The clue.
Speaker 1 (22:03):
It's pretty good too, Thank you very much. I appreciate it.
Thank you, and we will be right back with you
for line two. All right, let's go back to Alwen,
and I hope we get the technical issues straightened out
because I want to be able to hear him a
little bit have the right Hey, Alan, how are you?
Speaker 11 (22:20):
I'm whoa?
Speaker 1 (22:22):
I am good? Thank you so much. So we are
going to go to line two and Miss Delisle yes,
if you would be so kind as to help me
out with the number between one and six please, five,
And now a number between one and twelve four, and
now a number between one and seven two, and finally
(22:45):
a number between one and eleven nine.
Speaker 2 (22:49):
Christy, Okay, you're a tiny, shocked racehorse who is five
years old, like you, shocked shocked little race horse who's
five years old. And we never we never ever say
that it's five years and dog ears or horse ears
or whatever.
Speaker 1 (23:07):
However you want to play it. As far as I can,
I'm concerned. You know, you get to pick your own backstory.
So alan you got, you got your character? Yes, all right,
here we go line to you at your pleasure please.
Speaker 12 (23:20):
First, I wanted to be a cowboy, but I'm afraid
of horses. Then I want to be an astronaut, but
I don't want to types of type faces. Am I
wret becoming a princess? But evil Witch is an ogre
scared me. Now I'm just writing a book about dealing
with your fears.
Speaker 4 (23:44):
Guys.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
He's a horse.
Speaker 2 (23:47):
Last thing ever, you are any racehorse afraid of horses?
Speaker 5 (23:56):
For the characters, that's like, that's like just I love it.
Speaker 2 (23:59):
Just being awesome it right, I would say that we
we definitely missed the horsiness of it. We love it
when we hear that extra, that extra moment of the animal.
Speaker 3 (24:10):
That's exactly what I was going to say, just maybe
some It's tricky with animals because if they sometimes they
want it to sound like a person. But sometimes I'll
just give it like very person like animalisms, like you know,
because sometimes we get flustered, you know, or something like that,
and you just put like a little or like when
you laugh or something.
Speaker 5 (24:27):
Just a little bit horsey, just just a little taste.
Speaker 1 (24:30):
I can't possibly, I was gonna say, I can't possibly.
Speaker 5 (24:33):
What I do is not like that.
Speaker 1 (24:35):
I just meant you, No, that's perfect. I can't possibly
add to that. All right, Alwen, you think you got
it all right? Here we go take two at your pleasure, please,
Cowboy or horses.
Speaker 13 (24:51):
I want to, but I don't work.
Speaker 12 (24:57):
Then I worked becoming a prince, which is an a skirt. No,
I'm just writing a book about doing.
Speaker 1 (25:10):
Thank you very much. We will be right back.
Speaker 4 (25:13):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (25:15):
I thought he took the direction pretty well. He's got
some rain joy I think again. We we were looking
for a voice actor so we've got to think about
the acting for both of them. And i'd like to
hear our first, our you know, our second contestant again
because right now I don't know, acting wise, which one
of them is higher caliber. Okay, so let's I don't know, Gray,
(25:39):
what are you thinking?
Speaker 3 (25:40):
Well, I lost the tininess on the on the when
when it went horsey, it lost the tininess. You know,
it got really big. So it's hard, and I know
it's hard. It's like one of those squeeze dolls where
it's like you squeeze it in when eye pops out
and then you speak it.
Speaker 5 (25:54):
So it's it's very tricky.
Speaker 3 (25:55):
So I'm interested to see what what Eileen does next.
Speaker 1 (25:59):
All right, well, let's let's find out.
Speaker 5 (26:01):
Let's have he does have a great voice in all areas.
Speaker 3 (26:03):
So he does, yeah, and he's been given two tiny
characters which I feel like probably work against him.
Speaker 5 (26:08):
I think I'd love to see it.
Speaker 1 (26:10):
I agree, I agree, all right, Eileen, So here we go.
We are at line two for you and Gray. If
you would please, could you give me a number between
one and six.
Speaker 5 (26:23):
Five?
Speaker 1 (26:24):
How about between one and twelve? Okay, twelve, and now
between one and seven seven? And finally, between one and eleven.
Speaker 2 (26:34):
Four, your tiny ninety five year old teddy bear who's
in the middle of an allergic reaction, like you do, Eileen,
like you do, tiny ninety five year old, so very
elderly sounding.
Speaker 6 (26:51):
Or not.
Speaker 4 (26:52):
I guess we make bold choices.
Speaker 1 (26:54):
Yeah, it doesn't have to be elderly sounding.
Speaker 4 (26:56):
Yeah, teddy bears don't have to be Yeah.
Speaker 1 (26:58):
Yeah, ninety how do we know what what's notinety five
and teddy bear years? That could be a kid? Still,
all right, cool, at your pleasure anytime.
Speaker 7 (27:07):
First I wanted to be a cowboy, but I'm afraid
of horses. Then I wanted to be an astronaut, but
I don't like heights or tight spaces. Then I worked
up becoming a princess, but even which is an ogre
scar me, and I'm just.
Speaker 4 (27:36):
I don't really have any No.
Speaker 1 (27:37):
I got definitely got the allergic reaction. I think I would.
I'd like to hear one where you try to play
the age a little more.
Speaker 5 (27:44):
Yeah, the ninety five I was missing.
Speaker 1 (27:46):
Yeah, I'd like to see because it was a great
young age. Frankly, it was a great kind of uh,
a younger girl age, which is which is a wonderful thing. Yeah,
which is which again in the voiceover world that you're
you're never going to go broke being a to play children.
So that's a great thing. But I would like to
see if you could age it up just a little
bit for the next take.
Speaker 10 (28:06):
Okay, and anytime at first?
Speaker 6 (28:13):
Sorry, can I ask for like another were not examples,
but like another way to explain, like ninety five.
Speaker 3 (28:22):
Okay, I go it loved lady Kade cariacteroice. I get
just like like get some gravel a little bit more
because because your voice has been used for ninety five years,
so there's some gravel in there.
Speaker 5 (28:33):
Usually it's not as.
Speaker 3 (28:35):
Clear and bright and brand new like your beautiful voice, Eileen,
but you know, just yeah, and maybe she's got some
teeth issues, maybe she's missing.
Speaker 5 (28:41):
And so I'll show you my good dresh. I got
a better kind.
Speaker 3 (28:44):
Of you know, maybe a dentury thing or something like that,
and just more frail, you know, maybe and if you
physicalize it, it'll really help you, like hunt your shoulders
and maybe sometimes I make the grossest faces and they're
the best.
Speaker 4 (28:57):
Yeah, don't even think about as being here. We'll we know,
we don't look at.
Speaker 3 (29:01):
That's the thing is you have to not be afraid
to look not beautiful. And you have a beautiful face,
but just contort it and like make you know, make
your mouth into like an if you see yourself as
a ninety five year old woman, it'll it'll sound like
that to us, okay, anytime.
Speaker 7 (29:17):
At first I wanted to be a cowboy. I'm afraid
of horses. Then I wanted to be an astronaut, but
I don't like hots or hot spaces that I worked at.
Princess but which is an ogre scared me. Now I'm
just ridding. Look your fingers.
Speaker 3 (29:41):
That was a lot great immediately immediately her big difference.
Speaker 1 (29:47):
Ye great, thank you so much, and we will be
right back with you for round three. That was great.
That's so that was really I also like, just from
an acting standpoint, there's something and I'm going to say
this word ballsy, sorry, but something ballsy about saying excuse me,
can you give me another example of what you're talking
about exactly?
Speaker 6 (30:06):
You know.
Speaker 1 (30:06):
I like that. I like an actor that will say,
wait a second, let's talk about the character a little bit.
What do you what are you talking about? What are
you looking for? What do you need And that's great,
that's that's what you're looking for. You're looking for somebody
who's looking to find the character. So I like that
quite a bit. We always say a lot of times
it's the things that happen in between the takes that
make us see one contestant over another. Back to Allen
(30:37):
for our secret magical line number three. All right, Alan,
welcome back. So as you know, I'm sure you've been
following the show that we gave you the first two
lines and then the third line we're going to give
you we give you now, so it's going to be
a cold read. So if you will look at your
right there in your chat, you got it. Yep, okay, perfect,
(30:59):
So as you're studying that really quickly, Gray, if you
would please a number between one and six.
Speaker 5 (31:05):
Five have already said that again?
Speaker 4 (31:07):
Oh my god.
Speaker 5 (31:08):
Okay, now we can three.
Speaker 4 (31:10):
Now we can do three.
Speaker 1 (31:11):
Three, three works and now and now one and twelve.
Speaker 5 (31:16):
Okay, four.
Speaker 4 (31:19):
We did that one, We did.
Speaker 2 (31:20):
That, old man.
Speaker 5 (31:20):
Well okay, uh, nine.
Speaker 1 (31:22):
Did that one too. Yep, we did that.
Speaker 6 (31:24):
Ten.
Speaker 1 (31:25):
Ten, No, we didn't work.
Speaker 5 (31:27):
And now now just just tell me what I didn't do,
and then we'll just.
Speaker 1 (31:30):
Get and now between one and seven four, Yes, that works,
and now between one and eleven.
Speaker 4 (31:40):
Seven, Alan, are you ready ready?
Speaker 2 (31:43):
You are a medium sized robot who's like fifteen years old.
Speaker 4 (31:49):
And is hypothermic.
Speaker 1 (31:55):
So super simple, huh easy? Can you can repeat it
one more time?
Speaker 2 (31:59):
Christie, you're a fifteen year old, medium sized robot who's
hypothermic freezing.
Speaker 1 (32:05):
There we go, all right, Allen line three at your pleasure.
Speaker 8 (32:11):
The right in room would like to thank you all
for coming tonight. I know some of you have traveled
very far to be here. I've been asked to say
a few words before we took into this wonderful meal.
Stand it by in corporator, tell me.
Speaker 1 (32:33):
Two paste.
Speaker 8 (32:35):
Let's see.
Speaker 1 (32:38):
That was great. I definitely got the hypothermia and I
got kind of the robot. My only note I would
say is I would even push the robot maybe a
little bit farther. See if you know, again, if it's
if it's a metal robot that's hypothermic, it could be
on the fritz, you know, kind of something along those lines.
(32:59):
What about what do you think, Gray, I'm with you.
Speaker 3 (33:02):
I think yeah, the mechanical issues, yeah that yeah, yeah, Christy.
Speaker 4 (33:07):
I also I also think we did that.
Speaker 2 (33:09):
It seems small and not medium, and we want to
see your voice kind of doing something not as.
Speaker 1 (33:16):
Yeah, you've been getting a lot of smaller characters.
Speaker 5 (33:19):
Oh man.
Speaker 2 (33:21):
But yeah, I think like medium could be just like
a you know, a life sized robot rather than like
a giant. So I think you could do it more
in your in your in your you know, maybe a
little bit higher than your tone.
Speaker 4 (33:32):
But I don't know. I don't want to manipulate it
too much. Give you too many notes. I've been given
some weird notes.
Speaker 3 (33:38):
I was gonna say, no coffee today.
Speaker 1 (33:41):
I have got yet, I need a number. I've got
a number of notes about your notes, Christy.
Speaker 4 (33:48):
Good and that chameleon.
Speaker 1 (33:49):
So Allen, if you would please line number three at
your pleasure right and grew what I do.
Speaker 14 (33:56):
Thank thank you all for I mean, I I no
some up.
Speaker 1 (34:01):
You have traveled very far to get here.
Speaker 8 (34:05):
I been asked.
Speaker 1 (34:08):
To say a few words, but we.
Speaker 14 (34:12):
Before we tucked into this wonderful Neil Danny lyon carport raker.
So allow me to toothpaste. Let's eat.
Speaker 1 (34:28):
Thank you very much and now we will be we
will be right back. Thank you so much.
Speaker 4 (34:33):
Thank you, Alan thank you.
Speaker 1 (34:35):
All right, well here we go. This is our last
round here, so we've got one more going. Let's bring
in Eileen. So we just sent you the secret third
line there, and while you're studying that, it should be
in your chat. You see it, yeah, I see it, Okay, perfect,
while you're studying that, Gray, if you would please a
number between one and ten excuse me, one and six.
(34:56):
That's I made even worse.
Speaker 5 (34:57):
Okay, five, five works? Yeah, okay, five works.
Speaker 1 (35:02):
And now about a number between one and twelve three,
three works, And now a number between one and seven one, yeah,
one's great, and then a number between one and eleven six.
Speaker 2 (35:15):
Okay, all right, Aileen, you're a tiny mouse who's ancient.
Speaker 4 (35:24):
I don't know why he keeps going to that who's
love of your life just left?
Speaker 1 (35:30):
Ah, an ancient sad mouse. When you're ancient, the love
of your life leaves you. Just finish the book.
Speaker 3 (35:36):
But she could be one of those ancient things that's
been around for thousands of years but still talks like
a spanial works too.
Speaker 1 (35:41):
It's always how you pick it.
Speaker 3 (35:43):
Yeah, yeah, Sometimes if you go against what they ask for,
if as long as it works, they'll be like, oh
we didn't think about it like that, and you'll get
the part because everyone else is good go like this,
you know, and it's like, oh, they're good. They're gonna
hear their tenth ancient person and go let's and then
you're gonna go, you know, something sweet and like.
Speaker 1 (35:59):
Well, let's see what they got, Eileen at your pleasure
line three, please.
Speaker 10 (36:04):
Right, like to thank you all for coming tonight.
Speaker 7 (36:08):
And I know some of you have troubled really far here.
I've been asked to see a few words before we talk.
Meautiful Daneli in Corbutory.
Speaker 1 (36:20):
So certainly played the sad, which I like quite a bit.
Speaker 2 (36:30):
I think she sounded like a mouse yea to me,
it was really cute gray any notes.
Speaker 5 (36:34):
I loved it.
Speaker 1 (36:34):
I love going against that.
Speaker 5 (36:35):
But is it carbonator?
Speaker 3 (36:37):
Is that what carburettor one thing when you get a script,
look up the words and look up how to pronounce them,
because that one thing, because just because they have so
many people that they have to pick from, that'll just
kick you out for some stupid reason because they're just
they're they're looking for a reason to to narrow down
their their choices, especially products and stuff. All like go
on and listen to YouTube commercials of the product to
(37:00):
make sure that I'm saying it correctly, because that one
little thing, but that was a beautiful for I'm just
being super big because you guys are both so good.
But yeah, no, yeah, just make sure you have looked
up every word in your script to make sure that
you're pronouncing it correctly.
Speaker 1 (37:12):
I'd like to hear one just maybe a little bit
slower and uh, if you could start a little stronger
and break down in the middle, I think that would
be really funny too, Okay, And at your pleasure.
Speaker 7 (37:27):
To thank you all for coming to me. You know
some if you have traveled very far to be here.
I've been asked to say a few words before we
talk into this wonderful.
Speaker 10 (37:40):
And the line carburetors.
Speaker 5 (37:42):
Cling like that.
Speaker 1 (37:47):
I like that. Thank you very much. We'll be right
back with you, okay. So this is a tough one. Gray.
If you if you had to work with one of
these two actors, which one do you think would give
you more in the booth?
Speaker 6 (38:02):
Mhm.
Speaker 3 (38:03):
I think that that Eileen gave us a little bit
more range. Yeah, I know that Alan, if had he
had the chance to do a character that was more booming.
But I felt like she, you know, I just felt
like that that that that elderly woman she did was great.
And then this like little little sprite type, you know,
(38:24):
little mouse voice was really good.
Speaker 1 (38:26):
I don't disagree. I think I think there's something about,
you know, we're kind of what we listened for is
also where you think they'd be booked. And the little
girl voices I think are right up there with the
Recesses and all the kind of yeah, the young the
Powerpuff Girls and all the kind of the younger DC
superhero girls, all the kind of younger stuff that that
(38:47):
things are going now. I also, frankly just and and
this is no reflection on him in any way, shape
or for him. No, he was really very good.
Speaker 2 (38:56):
I think I always liked him from from the time
I remember reviewing he's audition tape.
Speaker 4 (39:01):
I picked him because I just thought he just.
Speaker 2 (39:03):
Seems so vibrant and talented and like really putting his
whole heart into it, and so I always I just
was always reading. I'm still rooting for him, and we
generally tell them to keep going.
Speaker 1 (39:13):
Would you would you agree, though, Christy that she she
had the little bit of an edge today or no.
Speaker 2 (39:19):
I think it's a mixture, sadly of a couple things
of you know, when I heard when I hear our
contestants reels and they sound amazing, and that's like part
of why you choose people. And when you're talking about
thousands and then you know they come on and unfortunately,
for one reason another they're using their phone or they're
using this, it.
Speaker 4 (39:37):
Doesn't help them, you know.
Speaker 2 (39:38):
And I think that's a reality that someone has to
really come to understand that there's it's a competitive market
even beyond this, can this this you know, competition. So
I don't think that I think he could have won
if he had the right equipment, like from the beginning.
Speaker 4 (39:55):
If yeah, but.
Speaker 3 (39:56):
That's another testament to just like I mean, if you're ready.
I mean, like when I get a script and it's
something that I'm like really excited about, and I'm like,
you know, it's like Pixar or whatever, I'm just like, Okay,
go through every single thing that they've sent me. Is
there anything I'm missing?
Speaker 1 (40:10):
Is there?
Speaker 5 (40:11):
Have I dotted all the eyes and crossed all.
Speaker 1 (40:13):
I think that's true. And at the end of the day,
if you're going to be joining a voiceover contest. You've
got to have the equipment too, especially nowadays where everybody's
recording from home. You've got to be able to jump in.
Speaker 3 (40:22):
And but he had a laptop, and he hadn't read
the material, hadn't gone over the email that was sent.
Speaker 1 (40:29):
And that's unfortunately those things matter, so okay, so I
think we all then I would have to say Eileen
would be the one moving forward.
Speaker 2 (40:39):
I guess so, yeah, yeah, yeah, she's They're both very talented.
Speaker 3 (40:42):
Yeah, but I thought he was really, really wonderful to
and he had a great attitude, like he just seems
so open, and I agree, you know, all right.
Speaker 1 (40:49):
Well let's unfortunately bring Allen in and give him the news.
This is the worst. This is just the worst.
Speaker 5 (40:58):
So I think I should be able to leave.
Speaker 1 (41:01):
Hey, Allen, how are you go? I'm good? Thank you
so much. So we just wanted to thank you so
much for coming on and forgiving it. You're all. You know,
it's been very tough for us to kind of pick
the people that are going to be moving forward because
everybody is so good at this level, and we just
want to thank you so much and let you know
that unfortunately, this is how you know, you're not going
(41:23):
to be moving on to the next round. But that
being said, we all agree that you got something here.
I think today unfortunately there were some technical issues with
your equipment. So I would work on making sure you
have some better equipment for for your career when you
move forward, because we think you're going to move forward,
we really do, so yeah, I would work on maybe
(41:43):
getting some different equipment. And I just wish we had
and this is on the random characters that we pick,
but which is one of the parts of the contest.
We wish we had heard more stuff in your regular voice. Yeah,
and that's on us. That's on us, as you know,
as much as on the character picked. So I would
absolutely continue, uh moving forward because I think you've got
(42:05):
something here and I think really your commercial voice especially
is going to be great.
Speaker 10 (42:09):
Thank you, Thank you so much.
Speaker 15 (42:12):
Can I just say something, of course, because I got
pret y'all in this room, I just want to say,
I've been growing up like literally watching like even Stevie
Boy meet Squirrel.
Speaker 10 (42:22):
You've been the fairly odd parents.
Speaker 12 (42:24):
Like I know y'all's work.
Speaker 1 (42:26):
I had twelve venue, like.
Speaker 15 (42:29):
I'm a student of this and so like to just
be in this room to be able to compete, Like
I this is one of the biggest things ever to me.
So I just thank you so much for the opportunity.
It means so much to be able to work with
you all and to get those notes. And I appreciate
the opportunity more than you can even imagine.
Speaker 1 (42:47):
Oh that's amazing there. God see right there, that voice
you're speaking in right is just so That voice right
there is just so great. I wish we'd heard more
of that, because I think I.
Speaker 2 (42:59):
Interest so you know, we have, we had everything represented
from you know, small, medium, large, gigantic.
Speaker 5 (43:06):
It was really my fault for I saw it was.
Speaker 4 (43:11):
Literally this is the this is just what it was.
Speaker 2 (43:14):
And and and also I think it's a testament to
how random the voice actor of life is once you
get into it.
Speaker 4 (43:21):
Just how much you know it. But we we're big
fan of yours.
Speaker 5 (43:25):
And just just read your emails really care.
Speaker 3 (43:27):
I was just saying, when I'm really like nervous about something,
go through it with a fine tooth cone because there's
always something. One time I was reading for this part
that I really wanted and for some reason, I have
ADHD so I skim a lot and I'm just like
my brain, but oh, it's just a killer. I have
to go okay, now look at every single word, you know.
But but I was reading it like as an old woman,
and my my thank goodness. My friend was was like
(43:49):
recording this. Now I record myself, so who knows what
I've sent out in the world. But I was with
my friend and he was like, did you see that
she's fourteen? And I was like what, and it was like,
she's a teenage and I was like, oh my god,
and it was just yeah. So it was like those
little things like just make sure you just go through
everything with just like like the little audio settings things
could have really made.
Speaker 5 (44:08):
Made a break broken for you. I think, you know, yeah, yeah,
but you are really good.
Speaker 1 (44:13):
You are out. Thank you for joining us so much.
We really appreciate it, and good luck with everything break
a leg because we know we're going to be seeing
you again in the future.
Speaker 10 (44:20):
Appreciate you.
Speaker 15 (44:21):
Thanks so much.
Speaker 1 (44:23):
Bobby by Ellen, Oh that one doesn't feel right.
Speaker 10 (44:26):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (44:27):
She's great, but I wish I just want to I
wish I heard more of his voice, like more of
his natural voice. Maybe we might have to throw something
in the future where it's like let me just let
me just hear your natural voice, let's do a read.
But that's not how the game works or a commercial.
But that's there eventually. That is, we're not there yet,
that's not how the game works. So if we can
very quickly go tell Eileen, because I know we're running
out of time here, Hi, Eileen, how are you? So
(44:52):
Normally we do this fun thing where we pretend you're
not going to move on to the next round and
we make you feel bad about it, but we just
don't have the time. So congratulations, you're moving on to
next round of the contest.
Speaker 10 (45:02):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (45:03):
Yes, it was. Your competitor was very very good. He
really was. He had some technical issues and some stuff
going on, but he was very good at what he did.
We think you had him a little bit on the acting, frankly,
So I would keep up with what you're doing and
studying the way you're studying and all the aspects of
acting and then bringing that into your voiceover career. But
(45:24):
you will.
Speaker 3 (45:24):
I think we heard your theater career coming in a
little bit. You have some really very fleshed out characters.
Speaker 1 (45:29):
Which is good. Yeah, so we will see you in
the Elite eight trademarked. So thank you so much for
joining us, Eileen, and we will get back to you
in the future. Congratulations.
Speaker 10 (45:40):
All righty, thank you so much. I love you guys.
Speaker 1 (45:44):
Fine Gray, thank you so much for joining us much.
We know you're super busy and literally did this on
the one hour you have off in the next nine months.
Speaker 3 (45:54):
Oh, I'm gonna be I'm gonna be fine. And you
guys were awesome and I can't wait to see you
and suit the next contention.
Speaker 5 (46:01):
And it was so such a pleasure meeting you.
Speaker 1 (46:03):
Thanks.
Speaker 4 (46:05):
You made me last.
Speaker 1 (46:06):
Yeah, she tends to do that. She tends to do that.
Thank you so much. Great, I appreciate it.
Speaker 4 (46:13):
Bye bye bye.
Speaker 1 (46:16):
That is fun. She is the best. Well, there you go,
and everybody who uh for future contestants that are coming on,
make sure you read your emails, make sure you've got
your technical stuff down. It's uh, it's it matters. It
matters at the end of the day, it really does.
You've got to make sure that you know you are. Hey,
if if you win this contest and CEESD assigns you,
(46:38):
which is again one of the one of the big
prize from this you might get an audition the next day,
and if you aren't set up to record it, then
you're not going to get booked. So you got to
make sure that you are.
Speaker 6 (46:49):
Now.
Speaker 1 (46:50):
That absolutely does not mean you need to go out
and spend a fortune. Everybody looks at my setup on
Zoom and they go, oh, my god, you have a
three thousand dollars mic.
Speaker 10 (46:56):
I do not.
Speaker 1 (46:57):
This mic was like one hundred and forty dollars years ago.
So you don't have to spend a ton of money.
Find equipment that loves your voice. That's all you have
to do. But you do not need to go spend
thousands of dollars. But you do need to be able
to record right away. And that's unfortunately Alwin kind of
ran into that today and it didn't It didn't help.
Speaker 2 (47:14):
Yeah, you know, every in life, especially as artists, I
think we grow, we grow, and if it's not the
right time, then it'll be.
Speaker 4 (47:22):
You know, it's a great opportunity that we're giving people.
But at the same time, it's not.
Speaker 1 (47:25):
The only no, of course not. And he had a
great natural voice, which we wish we heard more of that.
We might have to do something about that in the
future because he did. He had a great a great
natural voice. But this is the game, you know, we're doing.
We're doing random characters to start and then we'll get
more focused in you know, when we get to the
elite date in the final four all trademarked, and then
the finals. But it is you know, congratulations to Eileen
(47:48):
for moving forward. I think that is our sixth contestant
that we have six of eight, so we are getting there.
So thank you all for joining us, and thank you
of course to Gray great Allile for Joe us one
of the best ever. And thank you all once again
for tuning into the super awesome contests to become the
next big voice actor. And we want to once again

that because I'm in it, everybody over there at critical

in the contest. We really couldn't do it without all
the help that we have gotten, So thank you so
(48:30):
much and join us again next week as we go
to round seven. We are we're getting there, Christy.
Speaker 4 (48:35):
Than dang, let's go.
Speaker 1 (48:39):
Well on that enthusiasm. Uh, we gotta pump up. We
gotta pump Christy up with some caffeine.
Speaker 4 (48:46):
Than I'm gonna go get Gray's Austin coffee.
