Speaker 1 (00:00):
I hear, hey Christie, Hey Will, what's up? How are you?
I'm good? You know a lot of people don't realize
that we say that so many times every time we
were yes for some reason. The actual podcast takes about

(00:24):
an hour that hey Christie, hey Will is a good
hour in twenty minutes to get that right. We never
get it right the first time, do we know. I
wish we had a mashup of all of the outtakes
of us speaking to each other in the intro because
it would be hilarious. Honestly, it catches us every time.
I don't know why. I don't. I really don't know.

(00:45):
Why did you do something different with your face today?
You look very luminous today. Oh thank you. It's a
different camera. Oh is that what it is? Yes? And
speed of different cameras. We do a video portion of
I hear voices that lives sort of in perpetuity on
some sort of a YouTube and a Facebook, and it's
out there and you should go see it. But me

(01:07):
and Will I seriously just almost called you Ron wow
out of nowhere. Just that's great, Thank you, Kape. I
know right, I sometimes do do that. It's very rare,
but I really just almost. You also sometimes call me
your husband, and you also sometimes call me Brendon. That's
when that's when I'm angry at you. So yeah, but

(01:29):
you will You'll be like and then I'm sitting here
with my husband and I'll be like, nope, I call
you my husband. Yeah, you've done that a couple point.
I think I think I've almost caught myself in calling
Brennan like you know. It is. There's only two people
in my entire life that call me William my mom
when she's when she's upset at me, and my oldest
brother because he's eight years older than me. So it

(01:50):
is that like mom dad kind of thing, the William things.
So yeah, I think you when you get angry at me,
you instantly want to shout Brendan, which is great. That's
what it is. If you are by the looking at
the video portion, I hope you are noticing how amazing
and luminescent Christie looks right now, and how that your
case looks amazing. I'm sure that they can there it

(02:14):
is he's panning over you. O c D. Beautifully made,
and that's them in salt. That's jealousy for me, very
toddlers organization, porn very interesting. We were just talking about
some women in my life that occasionally will will make
very polite suggestions, and Christie can occasionally be one of them.

(02:35):
And so we have been recorded as she beautifully transitioned
into the fact that we have uh it lives in
perpetuity on YouTube and wherever else our video portion, it
always looks like Christie is in this magical kind of
realm of awesomeness and that I should be holding up
a newspaper saying they're treating me well, please please send
money immediately. Um, I do I look like I'm in

(02:57):
a horrible cave. So and my eyes always looks super
bloodshot in here, and so Christy very politely said, you
know it would be awesome is if you didn't look
like that in the cave, but you did it in
a nice way. So okay, no, but let me break
it down. I love you, and I know in terms
of like our podcast and how we've built it up

(03:17):
from the ground up, we should get into that today. Um,
for a lot of people who have been so supportive
and excited for right and and we are each other's
guest today. So we just thought that would be fun
and a way to check in with everyone as our
audience is very much growing and we have some big news.
And you know, I've always been of the mindset that

(03:39):
I hear voices is you know, a brand, and like
I think we've because of my social media background and
I've been doing this creator content stuff for all these years.
We are this perfect intersection of bringing this podcast to
life for everyone to see, because what good is a
podcast if no one knows about at it or no

(04:00):
one sees it and the algorithm is against you, right,
And and also the authenticity of the actual nerd community
and all the people we love that are interested in animation.
We're proud people, which is where Will comes in. Well,
it's also it's one of those things where it's such
an awesome community to be a part of. I've luckily

(04:21):
been a nerd for the vast, vast majority of my life,
and we have now the world has shifted to where
we can be loud and proud the fact that we
are dungeons and Dragons players and fantasy nerds and cosplay
nerds and animation nerds and comic book nerds. We just
and that's why we love conventions. And everything else that
has to do with it. But the the idea of

(04:42):
when we first started I Hear Voices are one of
the ideas was that everybody gets to hear the voices,
and occasionally you want to be able to put the
faces with the voices of Wow, that's what Eric Bowser
looks like. Who I watch on Everything, Wow, Kevin Connroy
who plays Batman, that's what he looks like like. That
was one of the the the initial shoal driving forces
of the podcast was let's put some faces with the voices.

(05:06):
And it kind of then exponentially grew from there. And
I think what you were saying to me was let's
just make your face better in the cave here in
um No, it was more. It wasn't my face so
much as the just the area. I'm driven for pretty
pictures and I went to film school and I and
I really love the idea of looking, having the production

(05:27):
value of something look it's best. When we started I
Hear Voices as a podcast, we did it in studio
in downtown l A. We had and it was awesome
because we still have that set. We still have our
Neon sign. You guys can still see online those episodes
on the I Hear Voices podcast YouTube channel, and and
it's a it's a it's a really beautifully produced like show.

(05:49):
And I think it was also a really great way
of people getting to know what we were doing, right,
wouldn't you say? Yeah? I do. I think it was.
It was pretty great to I think those episodes are
on your YouTube channel, the Christy Carlson Romano YouTube channel.
Um sang, okay, so we started, that's right. We started off. Yeah,
your well because you, like you said, okay, So here's

(06:10):
where you and I. This is where you and I
are such different people, but it works. Is like, for instance,
I'm a total nerd. I'm bringing you more into the
nerd culture. You are a total social media person. Like
you understand it. You it's the algorithm. You get everything
that I don't. I don't get it at all, Like
I have no idea. So you're kind of bringing me
more into that side. I'll never join it, but I

(06:32):
can look at it from a far and go, Okay,
I see what you're doing. So in that sense, we're
very different, but that's what kind of brought us together.
And it worked to that degree. And yeah, we did.
We started in the studio. It was great. It was
just logistically way too difficult. It was way too difficult,
and you know, originally we were also I think we

(06:53):
felt all sequestered, isolated with pandemic and stuff. And so
when when you know and you can to this instead
of being in the room when you were doing certain projects,
you were you know, in these zoom the zoom records
and whatnot. But it's almost become so streamlined and normalized
for all of us now that it's like an option.

(07:14):
Like I'm sure that you know, podcasts weren't even really
a thing before pandemic. I don't think. I think they
were around, but not no, they were the pandemic exploded.
There's so many strange things that you never like, you
go really that, like for exploded for and some of
them you get right away, like the pet. I was
talking to a guy yesterday who was talking about pets.
Pets exploded during the God's a weird sentence. Pets exploded

(07:37):
during COVID, not not how I meant it. The the
you know, wanting to have a pet, you couldn't adopt
a dog. You couldn't adopt a because everyone was getting
a pet, you know, so that became really animation anime.
Those things became huge during COVID. Fan podcast Yeah, podcasts
grew during the pandemic, but I think they were are yes,
banana bread anything or or sour dough bread, learning to

(07:59):
wipe with things other than toilet paper. These all became
huge during the pandemic, but it was it was podcasts
were big, but they did everything anything You could just
chill out at home and feel like you were still
kind of accomplishing something, even if it was binge watching
the show, you felt like you accomplished something. Oh, I
watched all of Lost or whatever, you know, whatever you
did well. It's like I think a lot of people
rediscovered Kim Possible. Absolutely absolutely. I mean you conventions, Yeah,

(08:26):
and we go to these conventions now and we'll see
they'll have live action Marvel stars that will have really
good lines. And then we'll be like, who's that line for?
And it's some anime star or some uh you know,
voiceover actor. Who's got Kevin Conroy. I was with them
in Wales. He had a six hour line. People were
people waited in line for six hours in another country

(08:47):
to get an autograph from Kevin Conroy. I mean it's
it's it's exploded, and it's another thing that made us
go man. More people need to know who these these
people are that are these voice over actors. Yeah, you've
called them the unsung heroes, right, they are? They absolutely are. Well,
I mean it's it's also one of those things where
there's so many things that I want I hear voices

(09:08):
to accomplish. It sounds ridiculous, but one of the other
things I really wanted to accomplish is eventually and I'd
like to start I don't know if you do. You
kids call it hashtagging, um, but I would like to
start something where so all of these big famous people
that are doing these huge animated films, The Rock and
you know all you name it, Brad Pitt, they've all
done it, and they all should They every every actor

(09:30):
should experience the joy of doing a voiceover project because
it's a ton of fun. It's very freeing. It's just
you and a microphone. A lot of these actors have kids,
so they want to do something for their kids. They
should absolutely do it. However, they have to understand that
when it's only big stars in the cast, you are
depriving Journeyman voiceover actors, journey people, voiceover actors of work.

(09:56):
So I'd like to start something where these huge stars
the Rock all the they go. I would love to
start in your movie, but the cast has to be
voice over actors interesting because we it's not. You know,
very few people go to an animated movie because they
go I want to see The Rock as a shark.
You go because it's an awesome animated film. And for
years it didn't matter who was doing the voice, so

(10:17):
that would be one of gotta be honest, it almost
takes away they can too. Absolutely, yeah, because I remember
watching um it was that it was a Will Smith
movie where he played a fish. Oh the shark something
shark something so Shark Tale. I feel like was was
very much like they almost animated the character to look

(10:38):
like Will Smith. You can tell that they made extra
efforts at the studio to animate these characters to look
like the voices. And that does take you out sometimes,
I mean, what do you think? I mean, I don't disagree.
I don't disagree, And again I think they should do
the roles because they're fun. But one thing that almost

(10:59):
nobody on stands um about when you get somebody like
a big star to come in and do that is
they first hire one of us, a regular voice over actor,
to go in and do what's called a scratch track.
So let's say it's shark Tail. We're going to hire
a regular voice over actor to come in and do
all of Will Smith's lines. I hate using Will Smith
as an example, but you know Brad Pitt. Let's say

(11:20):
Brad Pitt for The Treasure or whatever was the Pirate
Treasure movie that he did. So another actor like me
or you will go in for almost no money and
do all of the lines so that they can then
send it away and animate it. And then they come
back and then they usually put in Brad Pitt's voice
or something like that. They might not animate the entire thing,
but we will scratch track first, so called scratch work. Yeah,

(11:45):
so occasionally they'll put you in something where it's like, okay,
you scratched for two of our lead characters. We want
to thank you. Here's five small roles in the film.
That happens all the time, and it's very nice that
they would do that. But we're going in and doing
the heavy ding, and then a big star is coming
in and getting the credit and getting the money for

(12:05):
doing it. So again, I am not denying any actor
big story this, why do they do that? Because it's
a lot of work, and chances are you're not going
to get one of these big, huge stars to do
fifteen four hour sessions or lines. The point of these
actors not giving it as much of their all as

(12:26):
any other actor who's a voice actor, because again, when
you haven't been in films again and yeah again, because
you know, because i mean, I'm sure certain things where
it's like you know, I know, I know how hard
they worked when they were doing, for instance, the Toy
Story movies or they were doing Shrek. You know, those
are actors that were in there. You know. Mike Myers,
I know was was in the booth for hours and
hours and hours and hours and hours. I mean you

(12:47):
can tell though, right exactly, like exactly because you're not
you're hearing Mike Myers do a character. You're not just
hearing Mike Myers doing Mike Myers exactly. But that's that
would be one of it have very easily been because
he was known for that like Scottish accent that did
in all the other movies. But it's like you could
tell you made that extra effort. Well, it's also not

(13:09):
just that, but the movie was going to be very different.
You know, I think I could be wrong with this.
I'm sure that I'm right, but it was originally supposed
to be Chris Farley, and he had already started recording
the part and then he died, so it would have
been a much different movie. Obviously. When did he pass?
When did Farley passed? Nineties seven? Wow? And that's how old?

(13:30):
Oh yeah, sure. They also had to be recorded, so
I mean you keep in mind with the film that big,
that's that's three D animated. You know, they probably started
the recording process from the time they went here's the
movie we want to do. Let's record our first line
to the time the movie came out in the theater
was probably three or four years. You know, that's a
that's a big thing. But all of these actors that again,
like I said, should absolutely go and take the opportunity

(13:54):
to start in one of these big movies. There's so
much fun to do voice over. You have something for
your kids. I totally get it. But you also have
to realize that there are a bunch of journeyman voiceover
actors out there that will. I keep saying, journeyman, journey people.
Voice over actors out there that will never get that opportunity.
So it's up to you to realize you're going to
leave and go to a hundred and fifty million dollar

(14:15):
a year career on camera, and you're doing this as
a lark for fun. That's great and you should, but
you should also set an example and say, I want
to start in your movie, but at least half of
this cast has to be actual voice over actors. Wendy
and and actually, this is a really interesting topic that
we've never discussed on because just you and me, we
don't have a guest. I know, this is really cool.
I was, I was, I don't know what you want

(14:37):
to call it, stunt casting. I know they call that
on Broadway stunt casting, where it's like a stunt for
you know, Oh, I see what you're saying. Name talent
person to be on the marquee for a certain amount
of time, usually when it's in between seasons, so like
right after you know, I did Avenue Q right after
the summer, in a couple of months leading up to

(14:58):
Christmas because they thought that all the n y U
students and college students would know me and would want
to come and see me on Broadway, and and it
was fun and it was it was like I get
what they were doing. So when it came to stunt
casting in my voiceover career, there was one show that
ended up being a very low budget, small studio, The
Legends of Secret Pass. It was like some you know,

(15:21):
very small animation studio, and it took forever for them
to eventually, like you said, it took them years and
years for it to come out. But they had me,
they had Frankie Munez. I mean, that's why it's like
back then, when they gave us the money they gave us,
it was good money. And what I'm saying is is
that by having us as a part of it all,
I do think that it helped them fund the remainder

(15:43):
of the animation project, you know what I mean. So
I think like there was like right, like, yeah, that's
different when you're talking about a small project. It wasn't like,
oh my god, we're not you know, thank god we
cast Tom Hanks, so we never would have been able
to make toy story, you know, like of course they'd
be able to make toy story. So the smaller projects.
I think that's great because again you're also then giving

(16:04):
a smaller animation house, smaller artists an opportunity to to
do something. I'm talking for these big, huge projects. But
do you remember who one of our guests was speaking
up about independent projects and supporting them, and it was
Troy Troy Baker? Oh yeah, do you remember that? Or
was that I was too mesmerized by his hair and
Necker Chiffrey. I think I was talking about how he

(16:27):
does like a lot of independent he doesn't and and
everyone should. I mean, I think it's great, but it's
it's you know, it's the equivalent of especially now with
with computer technology being what it is, people can animate
at home. You know, it's one of those things where
it's the equivalent of an independent film. You know, it's
equivalent of you have levels of everything from student animation

(16:47):
to short animation, to independent animation to the giant animation,
just like you do in film. And now because the
animation department, animation department, animation world has exploded so much,
you know, everybody's doing it, which is great. Just a
really good idea, is how I am? Because you speak
Christie's Risdy is like isn't that where like Seth McFarland

(17:07):
went to college and something that's like a really big
animation so I think so, I think Risty has a
really big animation school. It would be really cool if
we did one of our like live oh yeah podcasts.
That would be risdy for like right like something school. Well,
we also we're talking about we've done Across the Garden.
We've now done several episodes, what five six episodes of
Across the Garden. So we're going to have a lot

(17:29):
of independent animators and amateur animators animating all those little
episodes and then putting them together. So we're doing our
best to support the stuff. Christie, Yeah, I think so
risdy to me. Also sounds like a serial, doesn't it
Like it's I think it's Rhode Island School of Design.
It is. I think it is too, but it's okay,

(17:49):
it's I love that I think it's And they have
a comic con. There would be like a good time
for us to figure we'll figure it out, okay. So
we would be I think incredibly ridiculously stupid to not

(18:13):
talk about some of the amazing changes that are coming
to I here. Voices don't you think, I mean, should
we should we contin exactly and this is this is
kind of a a A and a mouse bush of
the new of the upcoming episodes A sorbet if you
will palate cleanser, because we are are moving into some
pretty uncharted waters and some pretty great things. The first

(18:35):
thing that we have to announce is that we have
started an awesome partnership with our good friends at I
Heeart Media h so yea so I Hear Voices as
officially part of the iHeart Family. We could not be
any more excited than we are. I do pod Meats
World over there, and they are the greatest people to
work with. And uh, I'm so excited because you know,

(18:57):
pod Meats World is what it is and I love
it to death, and I love my friend Ends and
doing the show has become just such an integral part
of my life and so much fun. And walking through
the kind of history of Boy again has been great.
And watching Rider Strong, who had never actually seen the
show watching for the first time, Yeah, it's phenomenal. But

(19:17):
we we built this show I Hear Voices from nothing,
and we started just because we wanted to, and it
was like we just wanted to interview voiceover actors, and
you brilliantly came up with the idea of having amateur
artists send in their work and then having the voiceover
actors put the voices to it, which then grew into

(19:39):
having amateur voiceover actors coming on the show UH and
UH kind of voicing it, which then grew into two
two across the Garden, which has now grown into something
even bigger. And this is the announcement that Christine I
announced that San Diego Comic Con UH that work just
so this was the ultimate dream and my heart is
actually making it a reality, which is we wanted to uh,

(20:03):
for lack of a better term, we wanted to American
idol this thing. We wanted I hear voices two go
out and find, you know, conduct a nationwide search to
find the next voice over actor. And as cool as
that sounds, there's a lot that's involved with doing it.
And the first things we were talking about was, you know,

(20:24):
how do people enter. We're still working on all that.
You know, how long is the contest going to last?
We were still working on that, and then we're talking about,
well what do people win? And that's when we came
up with some pretty great stuff that actually has I'm
so impressed with what we've come up with. Two. I Mean,
I don't normally say I'm impressed with ourselves, but this

(20:46):
I was so happy this way. I'm ecstatic because I
hear voices in conjunction with my heart, and I'm gonna
keep saying I heart because it's awesome. Are literally going
to have the opportunity to change somebody's life, which is
the coolest thing. I Mean, when you think of voice
over acting, maybe maybe you think of it like, oh,

(21:07):
that's something that people tell told me at the factory,
Like literally, we had one of our friends, one of
our fans said, oh, you know, I worked a factor,
and everyone told me that I have really great voice.
Where I grew up doing cartoon voices or I grew
up you know, talking back to the TV or any
of that kind of stuff exactly, or comedians, even comedians
have We a lot of our friends that have been
on the show have started in stand up comedy. And

(21:28):
and like you said, you can be a journeyman. You
could be you know, you could be a Disney princess,
you could be an icon, you could get your big
break thanks to I hear voices and I heart radio
and this is something that is, like you said, it
is going to change a life or two because are
we only doing this this one time? Like what exactly?

(21:49):
Hopefully well hopefully not, I mean hopefully this becomes what
the show is, which is what we want. So we
were talking to my heart and we were like, you
know what, here's some of the things we want to offer. Um,
we can really only announce one prize right now, one
of many. There are several prizes, but there's big prizes
cooking right now, big prizes cooking, but maybe none there.

(22:11):
It's so hard because it's like saying, what what's bigger
winning this lottery or winning that lottery. So the first
prize we can announce is ginormous and that's the winner
is going to be flown into l A and gonna
have lunch with Christy and I and it's like, wow,
that's awesome, that's really cool, great prize, But we're not
the only ones at the lunch. The other person that's

(22:35):
going to be at the lunch with our winner is
your new voiceover agent. Yes, that is absolutely true. You
are going to win a one year contract and you
are going to sign a standard straight up voiceover professional
actor deal. It's huge, Are you kidding? They say? They

(22:58):
say getting an age is just about the hardest thing
to do in the business. I mean, there are super
talented people that just that's the hardest part. It's not
that they're not talented, it's not that they don't have auditions,
it's they can't get an agent to rep them. So
that is the first prize that we can announce. You
will be booking. If you really are truly gonna put

(23:20):
like we say on the show, your money where your
mouth is. No your voices saying your voices, but your
voice where your mouth is, you know you're gonna you're
kind of book something like I'm so invested, I'm so excited,
like mentors. So well, that's the thing is, we can't.

(23:44):
We have to keep all this very vague at this
point because we're working out all the specifics. So we
you know, we want to make sure that we are
as impartial as possible. That's the first thing we want
to make sure. We want to make sure the judges
are completely impartial. We want to make sure that the
contest is open for everybody. So if you're listening to this.
You're you're a fan of I hear voices, and you've

(24:05):
come on in the past as one of our guests
and you're like, seriously, I got to go on and
do some voices. That's great, but now you're doing a
contest enter when when we get all the details, will
put them out there for you. It won't take too
much longer. We want to make sure that everybody gets
the same details, but it's open to everybody, and uh,
we know that there's going to be several prizes that

(24:25):
are ridiculous, but the idea that you win a year
long contract with a voiceover agency is is insane. We're
taking it to a whole new level. And we can't
wait for where this is going because, uh, some of
the things we have planned for the contestants are going
to be so much fun. They are going to be

(24:47):
uh nerve wracking, because we're gonna put you through your paces.
You're gonna we are gonna find the next big talent.
This is not something where you're gonna be able to
come on and do a couple of voices and walk away.
That's Uh, You've got to be an actor. I have
a question if I was listening to this podcast right now.
I would want to know how can I prepare to
become a real candidate for this opportunity that may be

(25:09):
thrown at me if I get a chance to be
on the show, Because what we're doing is throwing them
for a loop, and they're going to use their voice talent, right,
So how do they better know their voice talent? How
do they better prepare for? What made a great question
in the audition process. Yeah, it's a great question, you know.

(25:29):
I would say, first of all, a couple of things
that any voiceover actor needs to remember. Uh. First is
that your voice is an instrument, so take care of it.
Second is that you can do as many voices as
you want. This is this is to find an actor.
We want this to be like a voice like an
American idol, like something that we'll rEFInd somebody who then

(25:51):
becomes Kelly Clarkson of the voice over world, you know,
I mean, that's what we're hoping for it. So that's
a great question you asked. I think act don't forget
you are an actor, first and foremost. Doing a whole
bunch of because you can sound like bugs Bunny does
not make you a voice over actor. You've got to
make sure depressions are not the thing. No, You've got
to make sure. And that's why this is not an

(26:13):
impression contest. This is not going to be who can
sound like bugs Bunny or or Daffy Duck. It's gonna
have nothing to do with that. Hey, I do a
great batman is not going to get you very far
in the contest. You're gonna have to be well rounded
and a well round. Every Where you hear voiceover is
a voice over actor. Don't ever forget that. Whether it's
a commercial, whether it's on animation, whether it's on a

(26:34):
phone app, whatever, you whenever you hear someone's voice, that's
an actor. So you've got to be prepared for every
possible thing that we could throw at you, because it's uh,
it's important to remember that. You know, you've gotta be
able to handle whatever we throw at you. That's a
great point that you make, Okay, because when we have

(26:57):
our guests that come on the show, I mean, we
throw these random pictures at them and they like perform.
We do this now at our live comic cons where
guests will come up. It's amazing to see them engage
with us in that way, and it's also they know,
very very nerve wracking. It's nerve wracking for me when
you throw it at me and I throw it at you,
and but it's also magic. Right. But what I think
gonna really set people apart is one listen to all

(27:21):
of our episodes, because every single one of our guests
we've had have told us about their their way of
getting into character, what has brought them to the point
that they're at now in their careers. You may find
yourself and one of our guests you may see a
very similar you know, like like trajectory journey that you

(27:42):
can you can share in that, you know. I'm trying
to think of like how E. G. Daily said when
she was a baby, she used to make these silly
voices for her siblings and she came up with Tommy
Pickles or um remember my Miley. Miley. Flannagan was telling
us that she just listens to everyone around her all
the time exactly, and she'd be like and then the

(28:02):
woman in my bank was like, oh jeez, and it's
like there you go. But it's so physical, Like the
way she makes her face is so physical. So I
think it would really help you if you're going to
enter our contest, which you absolutely should, and I think
it would help you to watch all of our episodes
so far. Good plug, Christie, I know, right, but it's true.
We want you. Eric sat there and you know you

(28:26):
and I've been doing voice over for years. I've been
doing this for twenty seven years. He sat across and
taught us kind of how to do bugs Bunny like
I never would have thought of how to use my
voice the way. You know, you got to throw it
to the back and then you got and it was
just it changed every So there really are different kind
of uh lessons in each one of our episodes and

(28:48):
tips and tips, and you're right, just be prepared for
whatever we're gonna throw at you. If you think this
is going to be an impression contest or you think
it's going to be I can do silly voices contest,
it is not. We are very much looking for the
next big voiceover actor and that is a well rounded
individual who can take whatever we're going to throw at them.

(29:09):
And uh, it's oh man, it's going to be a
fun journey. It is absolutely We're gonna We're gonna make
it fun and interesting and fun to watch in case
you aren't going to be on It's right, like, we
still love everybody to come and learn and see all
of these nuances. I mean, I'm assuming we're never going
to get rid of our celebrity guests. It's just what

(29:31):
are our celebrity guests going to be doing? That's the question.
I can I can absolutely see a point in this
where we get down to a select number of candidates
and each one gets their own voice over mentor. I
can see I can see some of the greatest directors
in the history of animation literally coming and helping us

(29:52):
direct some of the contestants on the best way to
do this, the best way to do that, and you
will be getting you know, as we saw when Dre
Romano joined us UH Andrea Romana came out out of
retirement and directed an amateur voiceover. I mean, that's again insane.
Anybody who knows the industry knows. I've told friends of
mine who have been in this industry for thirty years

(30:13):
that that happened, and they're like, you're kidding me, She what,
Oh no, You've got so many eyebrow raises. When we
mentioned that Andrea was on the show, Everyone's like really nuts. Yes,
so there's gonna be some some insane coolness. But if
you think this is going to be a walk in
the park, Uh, not a chance. It's going to be
nerve wracking. And you've got to be a v O samurai.
You've got to be ready to take whatever we are

(30:34):
going to throw at you and make it your own.
So your question is a great one, Christie. How do
you prepare acting acting? Acting? Acting? I don't know if
you take classes, if you do seen study at home,
whatever you have to do, watch, watch a ton of animation,
watch a ton of television, whatever you have to do.
Just remember that's what we're gonna ask from you, and

(30:55):
we're going to ask you to be an actor. But
then the prizes are nuts. I can't take it over that. So, yes,
this is overall. I just want to say that I
Hear Voices is a community. We are building up this community,
not just with this contest, but with our guests. All
of our guests love our shows so much and they're
always so complimentary and they want to come back on

(31:15):
the show and our comic con events that we've been doing.
So it's been an amazing, amazing time. We're so grateful
for all of you tuning in, listening, you know, obviously
liking subscribing all the things, because that's what's keeping us going,
that's what's keeping us growing. Yeah, we've it's we've had
a great time with everybody starting. We are starting phase

(31:37):
two of I Hear Voices. This is the ultimate dream.
It was our dream from the time we started. You know,
if if man imagine if we could take it this far,
it is morphed several times. Uh, and people have joined
us the entire time, and now that we are doing
the live shows at the Comic CON's, it's people are
just digging it. I'm honestly just we we have such

(32:06):
a good time together. We're so happy to be doing
this together, and we're back as a team, you know,
until there ever might be a reboot. I'm giving up, Will,
I'm giving up. I gotta be honestly. I think I
Hear Voices is going to do so much more than
the rebooted Kimpozzle anyway, And uh, I think we're gonna
be We're gonna be helping people and making dreams come

(32:26):
true and it's gonna be awesome. And the next time
you see us on a zoom actual zoom call. I
will have a new look because Christie insisted upon it.
Un I'll be out of the bat cave. They'll be
light and I'll be like, ah, why is this in
my eyes? Now it's gonna We're gonna make it so uh.

(32:47):
We we want to keep this episode short. We don't
want to keep babbling on. We did not have a
guest today. We are each other's guests. We just wanted
to talk to all of our fans old and new
that have been with us from the start, that are
joining us now. Just that man, We've got so many
great things on the horizon now with my Heart as
our partners, we are going to be able to just
skies the limit for what we are going to be

(33:09):
able to do on this show. And it's all of
it is going to be about making somebody's dream come
true of becoming a professional voice over actor. So if
you think you got what it takes, as we you
will start hearing over and over and over again, put
your voice there, we go, Yes, exactly. We can't ever

(33:33):
be serious, We really can't, and that's the joy. But
hopefully you're going to be serious about your career because
you're going to have the opportunity, and we promise we're
going to be getting you. We're keeping everything very vague
right now, but we are the things we can talk about.
I heart sponsored and open to everybody. That's what we
can talk about right now. So we will have all
of the details for you. For can't I don't know.

(33:56):
We might have to be eighteen and over because you're
signing a professional contract. But again where I don't know,
I frankly I don't know. Well, we will figure that
out as we get there. We'll talk about all the
kind of you know. Again, both of my parents are lawyers,
so we will talk about all the little nitty gritty
as as we get there. But we want to make
sure we do this right. We want to make sure
everybody's taken care of, and we want to make sure

(34:17):
that we are able to make your dreams come true.
And that is the goal from day one. So everyone says,
I want to be a voice over actor, How do
I do it? Well, the answer now is and to
the I hear voices contest. So thank you everybody for
joining us. We will be back to you very soon
with all of the details. Until then, stay happy, Stay
safe and keep working on those voices. Hi, guys, I

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
