Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hi, Christie, Hey Will, are you seriously just telling me
you light a candle to make your little podcast area
just more moody and wonderful. I am a pumpkin spice
basic girl. I do that. Yes, I have. Leaves is
my favorite one from um the Whatever Shop, and I
I love it. It's literally just called leaves. It's just

(00:21):
called leaves. Now. Are you a pumpkin spice girl all
year round? Like? Meaning like, so, are you gonna go
try to find like a pumpkin latte during April or
do you like to wait till the pumpkin spice months
where everything becomes pumpkin Yeah? Well, And I was actually
talking to someone at Starbucks today and he was like,
oh my god, it was horrible this whole weekend. In

(00:42):
the last two weeks it's been. I was like why
because he I'm friends with the Managerney. I'm like, are
you okay? He's like, it's pumpkin spices. That's what I'm saying.
Everything's pumpkin spice. Pumpkin spice is one of those things
where for a little while it's like cilantro where it's
just they just put it in everything and then they
just yeah, it's all of a sudden, it's like, you
want a pumpkin spice taco, Like, no, No, I don't know.

(01:03):
Definitely not. I was at UM. I was at Disney
leant Um, which I'm not telling my kids about because
snitches get stitches, okay. And I was at Disneyland by
myself the day before we did D twenty three, and um,
they had the beign As. You know, we're square, but
they had their seasonal things, and some of the seasonal

(01:25):
things really worked well, like their funnel cake at the
Hungry Bear restaurant. Guys, you have got to check that out.
It had like literally be pollen with like honey gelato.
It was like very bougie and it was, you know,
price effective, cost effective. But then I tried to do
the beign A's right, that was a bit of a miss.
I didn't like a pumpkin spice. No, it seems like

(01:46):
that needs to be classic. Can I also just point
out that you just told the world that obviously your
children do not listen to our podcast because you're talking
all about that, like they don't. You don't want them
to know they were at Disney, so you just mentioned it,
so they're they are not out of here voice. I
think they're probably we not in our demographic, they're a
little young. I'm trying to think. I think that the Yeah,
I think that this is a really family friendly podcast.

(02:07):
I love that we can, like, you know, really rein
it in and make sure that if you were just
driving in the car and your kids loved animation, that
they could listen to this. But my kids, I think
are still they don't really have really strong attention spans.
We also just don't want them to know that you
were at Disneyland by yourself and snitches gets to you.
Did you did you go on any rides while you
were there? Was it? Did? Were you a walk around personally?

(02:29):
You a ride person? Okay, so you did. I'm I
was a little of both because I was solo and
then my brother in law did end up coming to
see me. But look, so I went on Pirates like twice.
That's the best because there's like no line. Is it
still Yoho Yoho Pirates life? For me? Is it still
the same song? Absolutely? And I really I read somewhere
recently um that the boning in the water is what

(02:51):
makes people um, like that's the chemical or something that
makes everyone love that ride so much like the smell
that ride bony b o n I n e b Okay,
never never heard that word. I've never heard of, right,
So that's like the thing. And then they have a candle,
some candle out there that's called wrecked or something and
it's um, it's like it's meant to smell just like that. Wrong. Wow?

(03:13):
And is it still the Johnny Depp statue? Like at
the at the end, you've got the giant Okay that
that is a great right, and that's Disney, that's Disneyland.
Now A lot of people don't know that, isn't that
Club twenty one is right at the end of Pirates
of the Caribbean. I believe a yeah, you're not a member, right,
I'm not used to be a member. He shared a

(03:36):
member ship with somebody. So I've eaten there a couple
of times. In the food's phenomenal, and it's like this
private for people to know that don't know. It's this
like private restaurant club at Disneyland. And I could be wrong,
but I think at one time it was the only
place that served alcohol on the Disney property. I'm not
sure that's still the games, but it is like a
secret kind of kind of New Orleans. Yeah, there's a

(03:59):
Disney's guy some some cool like there's the secret apartment.
There's a there's one that was Walt Disney's right when
you walk into the left. That's like above the fire
station in the main street. But then there's also an
apartment that Disney keeps there, um for like contest winners
and stuff. And I got to take a tour of it.
It's it's to use the word magical, would would be appropriate. Um,

(04:20):
that's on top of Pirates, right, It's it's confusing, it's
I want to say, it's kind of like in between
Pirates and the Haunted Mansion. Um. But yeah, yeah, where
else did you go on any other rides besides Pirates?
I did? I went on um, let's see, what was
a fun one. I really wanted to go on Big

(04:40):
Thunder Railroad, but that was a very large line. I
will say guys that I did throw in my trump
card one time. One time. It was like a very
long day I had been there. I actually flew in
and made the decision to go by myself. At like
six pm. They sell the tickets at concierge. They were
super nice, and I was like, I'm going No one's

(05:02):
going to determine. So I'm walking. I'm enjoying. My brother
in law meets up with me. It's a lot. I
walked seven months, that's how many steps. Yeah, I just
walked a lot. But by the end of the night
I was tired, and I really wanted to do the
Haunted Mansion, which is currently decorated for um uh nightmare
before Christmas, and it does and it does have you

(05:23):
written it like no, no, I don't think maybe maybe
back in the day I might have. Back in the
day with Marsden, who was a huge Disney fan, so
we were there a lot. Well, they refurbished it to
to to like do that on the holiday, so I didn't.
I don't know what year you went, but so basically, um,
I did go up to somebody and I was like,
I'm sorry, I'm here for D twenty three xbo. I
really don't want to stand on this two hour line.

(05:44):
I'm so sorry to ask you this because I stood
in a few lines. I did it. I'm gonna hold
myself accountable, which I just but that was the only
ride I wanted to do. My brother in law never
seen the Refurbishment special when you see it, and I
was like, let's go, and the guy was so nice,
and honestly, they really are they It's one of those

(06:05):
like Disney things at the parks where if you complain
loud enough, they will try to like make a magical
day for you, because that's like them and but trying
not to. Like. I remember when I was at Disney World,
we were doing Big Thunder Mountain, uh, and there was
a huge line and they took me up into them

(06:28):
the booth and let me do the voiceovers for sorry folks.
It was the cool I'm sorry folks. I know that
it's a real long line, but and the thing that
was cool was that there was did you do a script? No?
Well I was kind of like making it up. And
the thing that was cool was you could see a monitor,
so I was like calling out people online. I was
like you in the red shirt, stop turning around like that,
and you see people turning like is there some But

(06:49):
it was like getting to use voiceover. So for like
a couple of minutes, I got to be the voice
of the Big Thunder Mountain kind of thing. It was.
It was speaking of voice over. Christie yeah, absolutely, no. No.
Being the voice of something kind of reminds me of
our contest. Well, it's not just the contest we've got,
and we'll get into the contest in a bit, but yeah,
the guest we have today, is he here. I think

(07:11):
he's probably here by now, but even even if not,
we got to give him a nice intro because I'm
so excited for this guest because I've worked I worked
with this guest for years and years and years, and
I think I've met him twice, really like literally, i
think I've met him twice. We were in a music
video together. He and I were for who you were

(07:33):
in the Circle of the Circle of Life. The Circle
of Life we did and it was called the Circle
of Stars, and it was apparently very iconic to people
who are fans of Disney and all that. So so
it was it was the Circle of Stars, but to
the theme of the Circle of Life. And instead of
saying circles that they go circle of stars. No, no, no, no,
they well know, they just they just cutely named it

(07:56):
that and branded it. But it was to the certain
was every single kid, like you know, imagine all the
people kind of think it was like that awesome. I
can't wait. Who's joining us? It's tash Mari Tasja's hair. Yes,
what is going on? What's the situation? What's this? Way?

(08:20):
Just popped on the way, way just popped on. I'm
oh my god. Well, I'm so happy right now. I'm
so happy right now. Man, how are you? I'm good,
I'm good. I'm a little tired. Yeah, we were on stage,

(08:43):
by the way, we were missing you. We were with Clio,
Mr Cleo Thomas. I did. I got to see Cleo though.
We did a because I had to do two panels.
I had to do the one for Muppet right and
then and then I did the twenty fifth anniversary, which
is weird. That's the weirdest thing that email. And I

(09:05):
was like, what are you five? That's not right that
it's bizarre. And it's happening more and more where it's
just all of our stuff now it's like it's for
Smart Guy, for Boy twenty, for Kim Possible. It's like
we're all just old the like, and they're like, how
do you feel, how do you feel? How do you
feel like stopping? Well, we should probably intra all right,

(09:29):
So Taj we have been going back and forth because
we think, after all these years, we've been pronouncing your
name wrong. Wait, how you've been pronoun it? Is it Marie?
It's it's more, it's more Mari taj more, Okay, because
I think some people say Maori. Oh no, they all
all thank you. Well, that's what we're that's what we

(09:51):
were talking about, is because yes, here's the list of
all Well, because when you deal, I was telling Romano,
who's got the easiest last name in the world to pronounce.
It's like when you have a name like Fridel or Maury,
no one gets it right. So after years of saying
Friedel or Maory, you just go, yeah, okay, that's fine. Yeah,
I know you're talking. I know you're referring to me,

(10:14):
so it's fine. Like, I just don't want to have
a conversation exactly. You can't. It's been happening so long.
Like I don't even know the true myself. I don't
know what it is. Yeah, man, speaking speaking of names,
and I think we should she calls me by her
husband's name. I spend it too much time all the time,

(10:37):
or show or show introduce me. Should be like this
is my husband. Oh no, wait, this is Will let
Will Will? Yes, Susan, Sorry, that's my wife. Should we
say like what his name was? Should we quiz? Does
he know? Do you? Well? Well, first of all, let's
do a little bit of an intro. Okay, so everybody here,

(10:58):
we are here with Taj Morey, thank you very much.
Are are our compadre from Kim Possible? We're just going
to say compadre from Kim Possible, because frankly, if we
have to list all your credits, we're gonna be here
for three hours. Please not to not to mention up
to and including how about just up to and including

(11:21):
me time with fifty six point fifty six million viewers
this week? Uh so up to this week he's still
an icon, Thank you very much. Um oh my gosh.
And now the muppets and the muppets we're going to
get into how you're better than us throughout the thing,
got the show. It's actually just genuinely a nicer person.
That's what it is. He deserves it more. But the question,

(11:44):
so we are gonna so starting with Kim Possible, the
first question we have for you because Christie hit me
up last night and I did and she was like,
she's like, do you know what Wade's last name was? Oh? Yes,
I know, what is it? Load? He's Wede Load? Like

(12:06):
why like why, okay, no, we do not fashion little
boy did not know that. How after twenty years did
I not know his last name was Load? Every time
I think of that, I'm like, wow, like wow, I
think maybe that's why he was just weird. No, well

(12:29):
you can't of course Wade Load. When she first called
me last night, she's like, do you know it's it's Load.
I was like, no, it's not. She's like it is, Like,
it can't be. It can't be that. She's like, I'm
telling you it is. It was in the notes it
was it's it's true. Well, we're we're We're very sorry.

(12:53):
That's so bad. We got to change that at the
first moment we can. We're going to change that. Okay,
So going right back, let's go back to the beginning.
When's the first time you heard the name Kim Possible? Oh? Wow,
it was probably when they called when they called me
for it. Um, I remember it was so long ago,

(13:15):
but I just remember the process being very fast, like
it was just like, yeah, we're doing this and want
you to be in it. I was like cool, And
I think it was easy because you know, with smart guy,
they knew that I was able to like use big
words and like, you know, use these crazy you know,

(13:35):
uh words and sentences and and make it sound believable.
I guess. So yeah, I just remember being a very fast,
uh a fast process. So okay, so yeah, I remember
being a fast process too. Now, the other question we
get all the time is did you and I ever
record together? I think there was one time where we

(14:00):
were in at least for me, I think there was
one time where me and you guys were in the room.
It was like once, it was just once. Yeah, that's crazy,
which is crazy, And I know people don't I know,
people probably don't realize that because we need yeah you

(14:22):
know what about that all the time where it's also
you know, I think it's a testament to us patting
myself on the back and all of us on the
back at the same time. But it was seamless even
though we weren't recording together. It really seems like we were.
But there's also it worked for your character because you
were supposed to be on screen anyway. Yes, my favorite

(14:44):
one of my favorite things to see like it was
during like lockdown and everything was like all the people
that were relating to Wade like in that way because
of COVID Lockdown, They're like, wait, is me you were
the well think about it. You were one of the
first and I was one of the first to like
be on zoom Like all right, once again, Disney knows

(15:07):
what they're doing before anyone else. It's insane because they're
from the future and they've traveled there from the future.
They're like Back to the Future has come back and
it's making all the money. That's sorry. I love how
you're equating Disney to Biff tannin from Back to the
Future to not even from the first one. Whether he's

(15:28):
not even from the first one. She went casino version
off tann and she's saying, is Disney, Oh, so was
was Kim Possible your first animated project? Um? I think so? No, No,

(15:49):
I did, no, Yeah, I did. Um. As far as
shows go, I was like, there was like a Sonic
TV show back in the day, played like the young
version of Sonic, and then I think there was like
an Aladdin cartoon or a Lion King cart something. But
as far as like a show that went on, you know,

(16:12):
and to do as well as impossible. Dide that was
definitely you know, it takes the cake. Do you we
always get the question? Do you always get the question?
Did you expect it to be as big as it was?
And it's like, how do you answer that? Um? I
feel like I don't. I don't think I get that question.
I think it surprises me. I think it surprises me

(16:35):
every single time that someone mentions Kim Possible. It's always
a shock to me that there are so many Kim
Possible fans, and like that blows my mind, Like even
if it's someone just I think it was just the
other day, like someone was like and they don't mention
anything else I did, but they hear my voice and
they're like, and I'm like, bro, what weren't your way?

(17:01):
You don't say his last name? I can't no, no, no, no,
I'm not getting cancer. I'm telling you. There's so much

(17:25):
to talk about. We've got to get more into Kim Possible.
We I want to talk about me time, I want
to talk about muppets, but I really want to talk
about Yes, Sexiest Man Alive issue of People magazine. Yeah,
I gotta know, is this something where you get a

(17:46):
call going hey, by the way, you're one of the
sexes mental Live. Is that how that works? Yeah? For
the person who's never going to get that call, I'm curious.
That's that's basically how it works. Yeah, and you're just
like you sure really all right? Did you you go

(18:08):
do it? Will? I will? I will say it was
the most like I like photo shoots. I thrive in
like a like photo shoot environment, like you know, wearing
cool clothes and all that, but that one was like
very like, I was very self conscious the entire time.
And I was also with my castmates from Baby Daddy

(18:28):
was the three of us, and the whole time, You're
just like do I look sexy? And like just like
I is this okay? Like am I okay? I was
just super self conscious the entire time. And then they
like they were we were like cleaning, you know, and

(18:51):
so like it was just like you want me to
hold this mob? Like what like I don't like, what's
my motivation? Yeah, but you're sex you're sex right, But
I've been like this sweater vest that's sleepless, Like I'm
just like all right, yes, oh I love that so much?
Did they like grease you. Did they grease your rock

(19:12):
that I don't remember? I'm pretty sure there was something.
I'm pretty sure I oh, man, I just had the
cocoa butter. The thing that always goes through my mind
is the guy on the cover, the sexiest man alive
in the cover is last year's guy, going like, what
what happened to me? What happened to me? In the developments?
I'm still alive, by the way, So what can I

(19:34):
at least be in the issue? Like at another number?
Always thinking about I don't know, but I was thinking
about that, like you fell you? How does it feel?
How does it feel? Man? Did you just say you're
about to be forty? Well? I have two years, but
that's still up. Speaking of gorgeous, gorgeous women, your sisters,

(20:01):
I am such a fan for them. I just want
to throw that out there. Thank you. I love my
sisters too. I'm very Our whole family is just very
tight knit. So I'm just very thankful that like the
older we all get, the closer we all get. And
it's like my mom and my sister's like, I don't know,
they get younger, Like each time I see them. I'm

(20:23):
just like I don't understand, like my mom, I'm not
going to tell you how old she is because she'll
kill me here, but she does. She looks like she's
she looks twenty years younger than she actually is. And
every time I see him, like what are you doing?
Like how do you look younger than last week? Like,
and she's just like, well, I will say she can't
be you know, she can't be that old. If she

(20:45):
knows what a podcast is, that's that's a good that's
a good. No, I don't know if she knows what Wait, Doug,
there's a shoe that's gonna come fly. Um. Hey, you're
an uncle as well, so have your It's mostly nephews, No, nephew,
I have two pieces and two nephews. Have they seen impossible? Um?

(21:10):
I think Cree has he's the oldest one. Um and
then uh, they all know that like their uncle was
like on Disney, you know, like they know you know
what I mean, Like kids at their school are starting
to be like like Cree will come home from school
and I'll be hanging out with him or whatever that
this is TIA's oldest son, um, and he'll be like uncle,

(21:33):
like my friends like we're talking to me, and they
were like, dude, your uncle is like talk like he's
from baby Daddy like or like they'll just do like
And I'm like, wow, this is already happening at your school.
And he's like yeah. I'm like all right, well just
you know, watch, I'll make sure these kids are your
friends for you know you, and then nothing else. Yeah, well,

(21:54):
if anyone's going to walk him through, it's I love
your gen z. I love your gen z. Oh no
is he? What is the alpha? What is there still
a thing? I love your cool kid? Impressure anymore? Like? Wow,
all I know is that the music is officially too loud.
That's all I know. Ye to nieces, to nephews, and

(22:16):
then I have four god kids. Jeez. Yeah, so I'm
in no rush to have any of my own. I
don't think that is the I'm not sure I'm about
that life. Good plan, good plan. Gosh, don't you realize
how badly that we need uncles like good uncles to
help take it? You guys, that's what we do. I

(22:40):
I knew I didn't want children, but I married somebody
who who already had one okay, was older, so see
that I get the best of both wrong. Yeah, that's so.
That's I always say that being a parent is the
easiest thing in the world. My kid came with an
apartment in a four oh one k. So, like, what
is this how you were say, Yeah, how is this
parenting thing difficult? I mean, it's like, come on, So

(23:03):
that's a good way to do it to taj Okay, Okay.
One of the things we like to talk about though
on on this show because we are all about the
voice over, but we are also about kind of Disney
and the industry, at least for this episode. Did you
always know you wanted to be in the industry? And
and how did you get How did you get started? Um? Okay,

(23:27):
I guess it's a I was actually born on a
set and I'm just kidding. I'm yeah, no, I think
I think I did. You know, I started very young,
so it's hard for me to think of my life
when I wasn't doing it. Um, it's pretty much all
I know. Um, But but I do remember, you know,

(23:52):
at a young age and being like, you know, three
and four years old, I would memorize the commercials that
I saw on television and then I would act them
out or if it was a movie or whatever, and
my mom was like, all right, you know, we got
to do something with this kid. And I would at
a very young age. My family thought I could read
very early on, but I was only I was memorizing

(24:15):
the books and pretending that I was reading them. So
I was lying at a very early age called acting.
We called acting. So that's pretty much how you know.
My mom specifically was like, Okay, there's something there. But
we all, me and my my sisters and I, we

(24:36):
all started around the same time. They were just they
started in like modeling and pageants and all that, um
in Texas actually, and then yeah did you know that? Yeah, yeah, yeah,
we moved to California, to California and later on and
then we all sort of uh um, and then that's

(24:57):
when you know, the commercials started happening, and then and um,
you know, full House and and then from there it
was just that was you made You made the rounds
kind of, and then you landed as a Disney kid. Actually,
I'm really surprised that you guys never bumped into each other.
I mean, granted, he's he was so much younger than you. Yeah, exactly. Please,

(25:18):
I'm not even to ask how old you are tas
because first of all, I'm gonna have You're gonna have
to say it loud because I won't be able to
hear it. I think you're old, you're all. I feel
like Christie, you're only maybe a couple of years. Yeah,
you're two years old. You're two years older. Yeah. Yeah,
we're in especially at that age when he was I
was driving when he was six. Yeah, we're not gonna

(25:39):
be right if we're up against each other for a role.
One of us is in the wrong room, but you're
you do. It's crazy that we didn't bump into each
other more though. That is crazy because Danny Kaylis was
the creator of Smart Guy who also worked on Boy
Meets World with so that I thought I always thought
that was interesting. But yeah, the whole Disney the whole

(26:00):
the whole Disney Kid thing was and it was no.
I'm just gonna say, it's so strange because I was
talking to Christine lacoln and another you know kind of
growing up in the industry, and we all talked about,
how do you remember like all the events that we
will go to, Like there'd be Disney events, so we'd
be with kind of the same actors at Disney events

(26:20):
or like a Teenbeat or Tiger Beat event like something
like that, and it was like the same kind of crew.
So that's kind of where we would bump into each
other more than anywhere else, those kind of Disney parties
or wait, did you guys go to the Kid Premiere?
That was one of my first, um my first red
carpets was Disney's The Kid Premiere. I can't remember if

(26:42):
I was is that the way was that? Is that
the one with the Bruce Willis? And yes, yes, it
was that? Like universal CityWalk? Was CityWalk cool when you
were young? City Walk was built when we were we
wanted talk about city Walk. Listen, let me walk about

(27:03):
city Walk. Walk was the was awesome. It was for
all the kids. I would come in a while out
at city Walk. It was like me Raven, We'd be like, yeah, man,
I was here when city Walk opened. That's how That's
how long it was for me. It was. It was

(27:23):
that kind of like and Welcome to the New Fellow
was the best where I thought I was so cool
every time, I was so cool, So I'm out like
I'm out on the town. Like that was the club
for every little Disney Kids, that and that all Ages
club it Highland Hollywood and Highland Club. Oh good, blowing

(27:45):
my mind? Did you have all ages clubs? Will or
did you just go to regular club? No? They all
ages clubs. Did not have the valet for the horse
and buggy that I was driving there at the time. Okay,
it's time for your jello SERI. No, listen. All his
clothes were so lit they were so lit like and again,

(28:10):
it's a family This is a family podcast, and we
won't talk about the dancing, but I got stories about dancing.
That's all I want to say. You didn't need no
but the best, the best of us. I couldn't drive,
so my dad would like bring me in like four
of my boys and like drop us off and like
wait at the seven or eleven. Yes, And I'm like dad,

(28:37):
we're ready at my flip phones like like that is Yeah,
growing up in Hollywood is it is a trip. And
it won't be weird because you know why everybody danced.
Nobody had their phone. No one was trying to make TikTok.
So you're in the moment. You lived in the moment
which doesn't exist anymore. You're not You're nobody's living for

(28:58):
I think about it. I think about it often. I
don't know how these like the new era of like Disney,
you know, Channel Stars or whatever. I don't know how
they do it with social media because we didn't have that. Well.
I think that Kim Possible made it all happen because
of you, Wade. You've seen that name about the communicator,

(29:22):
how they realized that was it is. Yeah, I'd like
to only be called Mr. Muster Load, mster Load. It's
just Mr Load. I can't alright. So okay, so you're

(29:44):
you're growing up in the industry. Did you have a
favorite cartoons that you watched? What was like your jam
growing up? Animation wise? Oh, my gosh, um Dexter's Lab, um, uh, Animaniacs,
um cheese, what else? Um? Rug rats? Hey Arnold? Um,

(30:08):
yeah those are probably Dexter's Lab was like my jam though,
like I just loved I loved the experiments, you know,
and I love I loved all that. So you you
guys were in like that kind of generation where it
was more about kind of the Dexter's Lab, Hey Arnold,
than it was like Superhero or Transformers or go Bot.

(30:30):
I mean, we had the go bots. Most people don't
even know what the gobots are anymore. Powerfuff Girls. I
remember Powerpuff Girls kind of being very you know, important
at that time, but it wasn't for everybody, you know,
like it wasn't for younger kids and stuff, even though
we all watched it. But it very girly. So when
Kim came out, I feel like by having like Wade

(30:52):
and Ron, I feel like it was a very almost
like um balance. Yeah it wasn't. It was a well
balance show, yeah, kid, But that was also that was
the writing. I mean, kids could watch it, adults could
watch it, boys could watch it, girls could watch it.
That's rare. And I think I think there was like
a really cool, like grounded quality that the show had

(31:13):
even though it was animated and like you know about
this young superhero you know who saves the day of
a ghost to school, I don't know, there was a
there was a nice balance of like realism in the
show as well, which I think is why there aren't
a lot of you know, other cartoons like that. I agree, Yeah,

(31:34):
I think it's and And I've haven't watched it since
it was on, and I've watched a couple of episodes
and some of the things that they did, especially some
of the running gags I thought were great, like how
she always gets to a mission by somebody famous who
she's helped. Yeah, I forgot about that, where she's like
on somebody's private jet and it's always like thanks for
the ride, Brittany, Like, well, I wouldn't have been able
to have a concert without you, Kim, Like, I totally,

(31:57):
Oh my god, I just called you ro call me roight.
So far she's called me everything name. I've been, Brendan,
I've been. I think I'm going to seat as Hello.
What were you going to ask me? Barbara? I don't
even remember, do you know? Okay, now I remember? Do
you know why that was? That people were bringing her

(32:20):
to her because she couldn't drive it right? Yes, because
she didn't have her right Well, that's also but she's
also in Japan or in China or in you know,
Norway or something like that. So but I'd totally forgotten
that kind of running gag. Yeah, that's going on. Did
you Toad, did you have a favorite episode of Kim Possible? Oh?

(32:43):
Good question. Oh um, I think there were. I think
there were a couple where he actually left, That's what
I was gonna say. So though, those were always my favorite,
and then there was one where um, he got like
real buff I forget what Yeah, that's yeah though anytime

(33:06):
because I felt like I don't know, I felt well,
I was like, oh cool, I get to leave my room.
But you know, like I was like, this is cool.
You have done okay, so I keep I I don't
like to. I like to stay on animation as much
as possible. But you've done so many unbelievable were you
on Who's the Boss? That was Who's the Boss was
my um first besides commercials. That was like my first

(33:30):
television show, so like old school, like actual Tony Danza,
Who's the Boss, Like you've been around forever you which
is kind of the best. Yeah, it's the best. I'm sorry,
I'm a television junkie, so yeah, like it's it's incredible.

(33:51):
And like during that time, I couldn't say my rs,
so like I think his his name in the show
was Mr Museli, so like that's what I would I
would call him and I would say Mr Mr Musselli,
Mr MUSSELLI. I think I think my mom's here, and
they like we're like to Chen, They're like, I don't.

(34:25):
I'm actually curious who is your favorite villain or guest
star that we had on the shop? Right? We get
asked a lot. I mean she goes probably like I
just always loved my lines where I'm like, she goes
on the loose, you know, like or like right right

(34:47):
back to way right you became Mr Loane again, back again.
You know, So the voice you just did before where
you were dropped where when you were doing a kid
voice dropping your rs? Did you do you use voices
from your past in projects that you that you work on? Now?

(35:08):
Do you do you like reach back to the stuff
you did and come up with new characters because of it?
Not specifically, but I will tell you now because of
Kim Possible, Um, I'm able to because I had to
learn how to pitch my voice down at one point
because we did the show for for the show for

(35:29):
a while. I was like, you know, um, so I
was a certain age when we started, and then by
the end, I was like, I'm pretty sure, like a
junior in high school maybe, so like I remember one
time I was in there and like, you know, I'm
like not thinking anything of it, just doing my lines
like I did the week before and they were like,

(35:51):
you need you need to pitch it down a little bit.
And I was like, oh so because of that, how
I I That's how I learned how to, um basically
be any age that you need to be, because I
all those years I had that practice of speaking how
I was speaking at school and then have to come

(36:13):
in and do waite and play a ten year old. UM,
so I had to had to sort of pitch it down,
that's right. And I feel like I feel like Wade
never got old. That's what he was always. But he
was ten years old, wasn't he. That's right? He was
supposed to be like a little kid. Yeah, I forgot that.
I thought they were for some reason. I thought they
were the same age, but they're not. He's supposed to

(36:34):
be a ten year old who's helping him out. Yeah,
And I think when I started, I think, when did
YE three? Right? Is that right? Am I wrong? Christie? No,
it's it's anniversary, so yeah, it must have started twenty
it must. I think I started recording in O two. Okay,

(36:57):
that's okay. So yeah, I was like fifth teen, and
then I guess once I hit you know, the sixteen
seventeen my I had to sort of figure out I
actually can relate to that TAJ because I had been
um suffering from like polyps on my on my throat,

(37:17):
my vocal cords for a long time and you didn't
know it, and I was I was partying a lot,
and I was aggravating it in college, and so I
would come in and Lisa would have the same issue
with me, and she would be like, hey, like, are
you okay? Like they had to talk to me at
one point, and I was like, I'm just in college,
Like I'm so sorry. I was like, can you help

(37:38):
me out here? Are you? Are you? Yeah? And so
I did learn a little bit more out of it yet,
well yeah, and so I you know, it's oh my god, Chris, Yeah, yeah, yeah,

(37:59):
a lot of that it was for those of you
at home just listening. You don't need to know what
you don't need to know, and will will also, I
know I've spoken about it many times. I am now
nine years without a cigarette, almost nine years without a cigarette.
But I was a heavy smoker from the age of

(38:19):
like eleven to thirty five. I'm sorry, eleven years, yeah, sorry,
just he was eleven years old, and he was started
very young, Wade with a marble start. I was going
to New York City by myself for to audition, and
I would I get like a slice of pizza and

(38:40):
a cigarette ron stoppable. Yeah, no, it's at Penn State.
No I go to This was the eighties and port authority.
They would sell me that no one was carding me.
As long as you looked like you were over six,
you could buy cigarettes. So you didn't get Lucy's from home.
Those people at Penn station, what are Lucy's? Lucy is

(39:03):
a loose cigarette like they give you the cigarette. No,
I was. I was. I was a pack a packet
day smoker by the time I was like thirteen. Yeah,
very young. It was very bad. I find this ironic
that we got in trouble and you didn't, because my
voice was already shattered from by sixteen. Yeah no it was.

(39:25):
This is this is some Disney Oh yeah, no, no,
this is I always say all the mistakes, all the
mistakes I've made in my life, all the mistakes I've
made in my life. By had a time machine, The
only one I would change would be I would knock
the cigarettes out of my hand by the time I
was a kid. That's the only one. So yeah, if
you're listening kids out there, don't ever start. It's just

(39:45):
worth it, especially if you want to be a voice.
Although I did talk to one voice over actor who
told me who was who was in his sixties when
I spoke to him, and he was a heavy smoker,
and I said, how long have you smoked? And he said,
you know, about forty five years? And I are you
gonna smoke for every set? I figure five more years
and I'll be able to hit every register I want.
I was like, oh, you're smoking for a reason, Like

(40:07):
he thought he could hit deeper register, smoked, heavier, smoked more, Yeah,
very well known voices. I thought, Okay, I thought that
if I smoked, especially not necessarily during him possible, but
I thought if I smoked, I would have more texture
to my voice and I would sound cooler as a
singer because I was trying to sing and stuff and yeah,

(40:28):
you were doing you were doing. Hold on a second, Yeah,
I had to have surgery on my throat though, guys,
I don't know if you know that, but I had
to have surgery before Broadway because of those same nodules.
But now, yeah, for the polyps. And it was the
same surgery that Julie Andrews did that made her not
be able to sing anymore. So it was dangerous. Um, hey,
do you remember the Circle of Stars? Wow? You just

(40:50):
jumped off of smoking really fast. You just jumped I remember?
Do I remember the taj Can you try to explain
to me what this is is? Please? Because Christine was
trying to tell me and I don't get it. So
what is the Circle of Stars? Wait? How do you wait?
What do you mean you don't know what it is? Was?
I don't think I was in this? Was I in this? No?

(41:13):
But like, do you know what we're talking? I didn't
until Christie told me, No, what is the Circle of Stars?
I feel like you'll be able to explain it better
than I know because she already tried and I still
don't know what it is. So now you're so basically,
I'm pretty sure it was like the reason the reason

(41:34):
for it. It was like an anniversary release of myon
ging right on DVD or Blu ray or something right whatever,
it was DVD because Blu ray did not exist. Yeah,
definitely was DVD. Um, and they just literally every Disney star,
Well maybe not every Disney star, but like pratt Ana,

(41:56):
Lisa Underpool, raven Um, yourself, Orlando Brown, A. J. Troth
was there, Um, a lot of people. Who else was there? Hillary?
Hillary was there for like a split second. Yeah, they
threw us all in this in this studio are you guys?
Are you singing? Yeah? Or you got you recorded it? Okay?

(42:20):
I thought a video. I thought it was. It was
like a video of another song, not that you were
all singing it. Yeah. No, Yeah, we had to go
in the studio and separately. I think maybe some of
us went together. I went by myself, but they had
us sing the whole song and they had everyone sing

(42:41):
the whole song in their own studio session or whatever,
and then they picked the lines from each of us
and then made the song. And then they were like,
let's do a music video. And I can honestly say
I had no idea that this thing would still about Bill.

(43:03):
We can't live this down. People freak like they freak out,
like it blows my mind. I can't wait. And then
they I think they even tried to do it. I
think they tried to do it again. Yeah, a new
a new era of like Disney Stars. Yeah, but I don't.
I don't think it hit like you know, ours was

(43:26):
new and interesting. That's not a hate on everyone else
that came up after us was very talented and no, yeah,
everyone was starting to I think they were trying to
do that Mickey Mouse Club thing where everyone was singing
and had like record deals and all that. Right, Okay,
it was. It was the called the Golden Era of
Disney Channel. Everybody going google that. I'm certainly going to,

(43:47):
and then I'm gonna well, they've already seen it. Yeah,
well let's let's let's revisit because it sounds joyous. Um,
you gotta talk a little pay Actually, oh wait, I
have a couple of questions though. Sorry, sorry, I know
we only have so much time. So, but like, did
you pick out your outfit? Yes? Because my outfit was horrible?

(44:11):
Did you pick out your Not really, because they gave
all the good clothes to Raven and Hillary. And then
I got like some weird cargo pants skirt situation with
a you know me, I showed up with my own fit.
You in Orlando with his Terry claw. I came. I'm

(44:33):
pretty sure I came right from school because I was
going to um Uh, it might not have been a
public school at the time, but most of my schooling
was public school, and I would go back to school
when I wasn't working. So at this time I came
straight from like school in my and I don't know
if you remember she was it was a Sean John

(44:56):
with with your hands you you killed a I wish
we had another hour because I want to know what
a score is. But before we go there, UM, let's
talk briefly because one of the reasons you're here you
got you got the Muppets, Mayhem on Disney. Plus you're
working with the Muppets. It's like a dream, it is.

(45:18):
When I we finished season one about um, I guess
like a month ago now, um Uh. It was honestly
the most amazing experience. Every every day on set was surreal,
Like it never it never got old, you know what

(45:38):
I mean. It was like do and like because it
was you know, it's different every day you're and then
you're in a scene with animal and then you're just
it's just that's bucket. Remember my first truly, yes, my
my first day on set. I was like, because it's
it's a lot, right, It's like everything is is uh,
it's it's shot a specific way because it's Muppets. Basically

(46:00):
every shot is a visual effect shot because there's Muppets.
So you know, there was a lot going through your
you know, my head. My first day, there's you know,
screens everywhere because the Muppet performers who do the puppeteering
and do the voice at the same time, Um, which
is insane to watch. It is a joy. They are

(46:24):
so talented. I was just but you know, it's just
a whole different experience because of the Muppets. But like
I said, every single day was surreal. Um, we have
I'm allowed to say this, we have crazy Um. You know,
Muppets are known for crazy guest stars, you know, so

(46:46):
incredible people that come and you know, come and say
hi and and play with us every week. But um,
I bring that up because the cool one of the
coolest things was, you know, you might be comfortable with
the Muppets, you know, because you've been there for months already,
but then this like huge star comes and and they're

(47:07):
freaking out and it's reminding you of your first and
it's just it have a way of bringing everybody back
to like the same spot. They bring everyone back to
that spot and it's just the smiles on set are
we had an amazing crew. It's me, Lily saying Sara
Shawdrey under um and uh, we're like the human the

(47:32):
human cast, or the fleshies as we like to call them. Um.
But it was I cannot wait for people to see it.
It is everything you want from anything Muppets. It's joyous,
it's hilarious, it's heartwarming, it's it's it's it's also very grounded.
I never asked anything of friends or fellow actors, but

(47:53):
I'm going to absolutely need to visit the set one day,
just one day to honestly, I'm I'm hoping COVID will
get a little easier so that you know, it's it's more.
It's it's more. Um, we're more able to bring whoever
we want to, you know what I mean. Um, But

(48:15):
that would just sure we can. I'm sure we can
make that in my life and I you will. It
is just you will. It's everything you would think it
would be. And just like it's just it's magical. I
cannot wait for people. It is normally that. But you've

(48:37):
also got me time. What you talked about which is
um top ten this week on Netflix. So thirties my
years business is still killing it, mind you, dude, I
just it's just impossible. It is. You know, you're one
of the nicest people in the world. So it's like

(48:58):
you see people like this, it's like thank you, thank you,
thank you, because it's one of the good ones. Yeah.
It's all my testaments to my parents. They can't. They
raised this right. They taught us how to, you know,
keep this business separate from your actual being and your

(49:18):
actual life, you know what I mean. I think you
that's when trouble arises, when you start to mesh the
two together. And so they taught at a very young age. Hey,
when you're at work, you're at work. But when you're
not at work, you're living life. You're at home, you're
you're a regularly. You're just like Joe and Mary across
the street. We are all this, you know what I mean.
So that's um, I appreciate that. And the common denomenent thing,

(49:41):
that's when you meet the people that have been in
the business your whole life. The common denominator to the
to the normal the quote unquote normal ones is a
solid family life. Yeah, it's people always ask how did
you do it? How did you get out? And it's
like you have a great family system, that's that's what
you do. Um, well, it's been amazing. How you here,
we've get Please say that you're going to come back. Um,

(50:05):
I'm sorry. I thought, I thought, hopefully if we were
to ever do a reboot, would you be doing weight?
Come on? Of course? Why do we have to ask? Yes? Yes, there?
I just needed that for TikTok. I need to see
you guys like I need that. We need to do
this again, but in the same room, and so I

(50:28):
could we can feel each other's and oh yes, now
so very briefly, not that anybody needs to because you've
got a bajillion followers, but where can people find you
on social media? Um, I'm pretty I guess I'm not
the best at social media. I try to do my best,
but I guess if you want to like, Instagram is

(50:48):
probably the best one. So it's just my name and
underscoring between my first and last name. But yeah, that's
the one I'm on the most. But I try to
I try to steer clear as far as I respecting.
Thank you so much for joining us this has been
absolutely amazing, Will Christie, this has been like I am,

(51:14):

just my days made my whole day. You guys are amazing.
