Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ladies, you want experience during your football season, Well, buckle up,
sweet cheeks. We've got all the experience in the world.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
This is I Want Your Flex.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
With Dan Byer and Mike Harmon. Mike and Dan break
down everything you need to set your lineups, from position
rankings to starts and sits. The guys help you make
those hard decisions. And now let's get your flexide. Here's
Dan Byer and Mike Harmon.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
Welcome in another edition of I Watch Your Flex Week
three of your fantasy season. Folks, already in desperate straits
like so many NFL teams. Mike Harmon alongside my guy
Ian Roddy, Dan Byer on assignment. Okay, that means he's
hanging out watching the Dolphins and Buffalo Bills. By time
you listen to this, perhaps the game is in arrears.

(00:55):
We did the preview on our prior episode, so go
back into the arc downloaded that one, give it a listen.
Evangelized to family and friends, we always ask to help
in our quest for global domination. Find me over on
Twitter at Swollen. Don't find Ian at Ian Roddy underscore
Ian your team, my team the Jets Bears, respectively. Two

(01:18):
of the ten teams coming into Week three looking for
wins like so many fantasy owners.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
Yeah, yeah, I mean looking for wins every week. It's
going to be very hard to come by for both teams.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
I think, yeah, for both yours and mine. Better days,
perhaps you're going to battle week three without your starting quarterback,
Justin Fields one of many quarterbacks on the injury report.
He will miss this one in concussion protocol. So it's
the great Tarad Taylor experimentation.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
Pronunciation.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Well, you know what, he made a point. It's like Bijon, right,
I mean, if they're gonna tell us how to pronounce
the name, I'm not going to disrespect him because, let's
face it, they're all bigger and stronger than me.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Because Baker. I saw Baker Mayfield earlier earlier this morning,
had a quote where he corrected a reporter. He said
it's actually pronounced Trod, but he doesn't correct people. So
I yeah, well done, Mike.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
Well he did it once, right, he did it once,
maybe like three years ago even remember yeah, where he
was finally like all right, just you know, someone asked him,
you know, out of courtesy, going I think I think
we've been pronouncing it wrong. Is that right? And he said, well, actually, yes,
I appreciate that it is. To Rod, it's kind of
like Terrell or Terrell or whatever t o people shortened

(02:34):
to it so they wouldn't get it wrong. So we're
in that same thing here and Bijean now Bijon Robinson,
doing the same thing ahead of this twenty twenty five campaign.
But we're already in desperate straits. We talked about it
a little in the prior episode Ian, but as we
sit here, Jayden Daniels missing another practice on Thursday, so

(02:57):
casting some doubt of his availability for a home date
against the Raiders, meaning Marcus Mariota would be the man
under center. We talk about San Francisco, they have not.
They're playing a little cagy with Brock Purdy as to
whether he gets the starter or whether it'll be another
mac Jones experiment in that divisional matchup against Arizona. But

(03:19):
we're already in that rarefied space where we're learning the
backups a lot earlier. So know your play card, certainly
fantasy owners do, because then some of the roster decisions
is how deep is that drop off between my QB
one and the guy that comes in will he come
in with no conscience and be willing to wing it around,

(03:41):
or does the game plan get so much more conservative.
That's the angle that a lot of fantasy players had
to play on the wire this week. Certainly going back
to draft strategy, I just don't think they expected in
week three to have to be breaking glass in case
of emergency.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
No, definitely not. But I mean you mentioned it there
with Brock Party and mac Jones, I actually think of
the backup quarterbacks we're going to be seeing. Not that
this is some insanely hot take or anything like that
creative take, but Mac Jones is one of the better
backup quarterbacks you can have in the league, especially in
a Kyle Shanahan system. The fact that they've been kind
of teasing Brock's return like sooner rather than later, to me,

(04:18):
I'm thinking, why even rush them back. You have the
luxury of one of the better backup quarterbacks. Why not
just keep him out there, let Brock your starter get
completely healthy before you actually try to force them back
out there.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Well, that's just it. You paid them all that money.
I know you want to see returns, but the reality
is you've got a system that has been proven to
work with backups. Mac Jones, I think a better then
to your point backup option for you with all those
other guys healthy. Now you don't have Kittle, but Jennings
was able to play and came up with some big,
big plays. You've got multiple running backs with Robinson there

(04:52):
and more McCaffrey as a pass catcher, like we talked
about coming into the season. So I think you've got
a little bit of the luxury that you don't have
to hit the panic button and force him back too early.
So yes, I would expect brock Purdy to be on
the shelf at least one more week Arizona at San
Francisco two and a half year point spread forty five
and a half your total. Perhaps we'll see a couple

(05:14):
of those players mixed to hear in As we get
to our rankings for this week, let's start at the
quarterback position, and a lot of the usual suspects off
the jump, and one notable emission who will find his
way I think into another list in a few minutes.
But first off, we got Lamar Jackson going up against
Detroit in a big Monday night affair in the over

(05:36):
under US pushed through fifty two for this one fifty
two and a half. Baltimore a five point favorite at home.
Detroit did give up some early success to Caleb Williams,
but then once it was a runaway freight train, things
slowed down, but still got his go back to week
one in that battle against Green Bay, Jordan Love had

(05:57):
a little bit of success as well. Continue you'd success
here for Lamar Zave Flowers and company getting it done.
Number two Dak Prescott going up against the Bears. That
secondary is just depleted and well pathetic at this point
for Dennis Allen's unit, so expecting more. Giving up twenty
nine Fantasy points per game through the first two weeks

(06:17):
back to back offensive players of the week, just because
you got to track those things. Could it be a third, Yeah,
it could over under a fifty and a half for
this one. You've got CD, You've got George Pickens. Everybody plays,
everybody wins. Javonte Williams been a beast as well. All
those names foreshadowing of other components of these lists. Straight
out of Dak. We look at Patrick Mahomes through the

(06:38):
first couple weeks of the year, getting those bonus points
with his legs don't see that changing anytime soon until
they find another running option. It'll be Mahomes giving you
some extra bonus points there. But you look against the
Giants team played pretty well against Washington week one, then
absolutely decimated in that weird shootout with dak in week two.
Looking for more of the say and the opportunities been

(07:00):
there on the board as you and I were talking
about earlier, Ian, but maybe they actually connect on one
of these deep balls and that Pat Travis Kelcey actually
lives up to the hype and the expectations in the
red zone, which he hasn't done through the first two
weeks of the year. Justin Herbert, one of the fair
haired darlings of the first couple weeks of the season,
starting to see it come to fruition with he and

(07:22):
Jim Harbaud down the field. Pick your poison between the
wide receivers Mconkey, Johnston and of course Keenan Allen. Stats
for days you look at Denver's defense hasn't lived up
to the hype just yet. I don't think they get
righted this week. An opportunity here for the Chargers first
home game, real home game, and then Baker Mayfield sorry
in against your Jets three touchdowns week one, and then

(07:44):
Captain comeback with his legs and his arm in that
Week two wild finish there on Monday Night football in
the early part of that doubleheader. Look for him to
continue it against the Jets here, mixing and matching between
the dump offs to Bucky Irving and the balls to
Abuca and Mike Evans. Yeah, I think that's one of

(08:04):
the more interesting matchups for me on the week. We're
looking at a forty three and a half total, so
expecting points to be a little sting here, I don't
think so. I'm curious to see what the Jets do
with Torod Taylor as we talked about. But from the
defensive standpoint, I think there's enough opportunity for Baker to
make some hay Let's shift to the running back position. Bijon,

(08:25):
the man that we must pronounced his name appropriately. You're
looking at twenty one plus eighteen his second game against Carolina.
We're look at him as a runner and receiver, a
guy that has to touch the ball twenty plus times
as they still try to get the comfort level from
Michael Pennix Junior. How about some Jamier Gibbs going up

(08:46):
against Baltimore. The thing that intrigues me most is what
he's done as a receiver the first couple of weeks.
Looking for more and you look at Baltimore seventh worst
against opposing running backs thus far. McCaffrey again, the the
work he's been doing as a receiver. Extra bonus points
for him here eighteen point seven, nineteen point seven and

(09:07):
a half PPR leagues. Look for that continuity to continue.
Jonathan Taylor, you know my love affair with all things
Indianapolis through the first couple of weeks of the season.
Opportunity here he's third through two weeks and half PPR leagues,
even though he doesn't catch the ball, and historically he's
dominated the Tennessee Titans. And then I'll look for a

(09:27):
little bit of a bounce back effort. Derrick Henry. The
Browns got the last laugh at least in that matchup
of Hey, he's not so hard to take down. Okay,
Well he didn't do it, even though they decimated you
and absolutely obliterated the scoreboard. Look for a rebound effort
in that Monday night affair that looks to be an
all too enticing shootout. With the Detroit Lions.

Speaker 3 (09:50):
Did you mention saw Barkley.

Speaker 2 (09:52):
No, he's just outside. Interesting, he's just outside the list.
I've got him seventh, behind Bucky Irving. Looking again, Rams defense,
that's all too up to the tasks. Through two weeks
the best against opposing rushers giving up fewer than nine
Fantasy points per game, and sakwon thus far back to

(10:13):
back game sixteen point four. He's in the nice meaty
part of the curve, not getting ahead, not getting behind,
and the fact that Jalen Hurts keeps stealing goal line
opportunities leaves him a little bit muted for me.

Speaker 3 (10:24):
Yeah, that's that's actually a very good point, the Jalen
Hurts aspect of it, vulturing those carries. One more though,
my did James Cook, I'm actually.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
Well, since we did the well, since we did the
Thursday night game in the last episode. Ah, you know what,
I leave the Bills and the Dolphins off of my list. Yeah.
By this point Friday, Friday afternoon, folks will be licking
their chops off the twenty plus points that James Cook
levels against the Dolphins. But no, good point. I should

(10:56):
have pointed that out a little more clearly. As we
got things jumping since we did the preview in the
prior episode left off the Josh Allen inclusions and James
Cook and anything from all our lists to make it
for the rest of the weekend. So we'll continue through
with that in vain and I think weekly. That's going

(11:17):
to be the general rule for the Wednesday episode. He'll
get the Thursday preview and then we'll run from there.
Let's get into the wide receivers mentioned it before. I mean,
it's the obvious play No Jalen Johnson obviously disruption will
see what comes out of the fiery speech from Ben Johnson.
But Rome wasn't built in the day, even though a

(11:37):
Doonsay did dominate, and he'll be on the hot playlist,
no question. Can't get him quite to the top five,
but Ceedee Lamb certainly occupies the spot there. Twenty four
targets through the first two weeks, sixteen catches back to
back one hundred yard games. He'll find pay dirt in
this one Jamar chase, even with Jake Browning under center.
He'll keep winging it. Sixteen five targets Week one, sixteen

(12:00):
targets Week two, and that comeback effort look for a
big game out of him, even if the wins don't
necessarily keep flowing. This is an interesting game in terms
of actually just picking the game. But I don't see
how Chase suddenly gets muted. Even with Browning under center,
They'll keep winging it. Malik Neighbors again, high target count,

(12:23):
high opportunity here going up against Kansas City. That defense
is better than I think it's shown thus far, and
it'll round into shape. Wouldn't be surprised to see them
actually shut things down from a points perspective, but hey,
we'll take the receptions, we'll take the yardage, and if
it gets muted in the red zone, so be it.
Drake London coming up against Carolina, He's got nineteen targets

(12:45):
thus far, Waiting for that big breakout performance. If you're
in PPR leagues, you've done okay seven to nine and
a thirteen point five. Look for better here in week three.
And then Jackson Smith INJIGBA. He's it going up against
New Orleans' fourth most targets in the game thus far,
seventeen catches, two hundred and twenty seven yards. Look for

(13:07):
him to find payder this week in a home date
where they're big favorites against Rattler and these Saints.

Speaker 3 (13:14):
So are we just kind of out on the Eagles
receivers at this point? Not that I expected them to
be in your top five, but what do we even
do with guys like AJ Brown or are just getting no
targets currently?

Speaker 2 (13:23):
They're going to be sitting on my bench. You know
a stat that I that I found and I heard
it echoed by my Sunday partner Greg Cosell and Colin
Cowhard in their discussion on Fox Sports Radio, Just sorry,
Jalen Hurts has only attempted three pass attempts beyond ten
yards three through two weeks. Then it is just going

(13:46):
to be the run and eventually maybe it's the you know,
release the Hounds kind of situation where there becomes a
matchup where you can go do it. The RAMS certainly
is not that that spot in week three, But yeah,
for AJ Brown and for DeVante Smith right now, they're
just no fly for me. Like, even unless I'm running

(14:08):
out three wide receivers on my roster, I guess I
can argue it in, but it's it's really tough to
argue them into a lineup right now until we get
a little bit of proof of concept.

Speaker 3 (14:17):
Yeah, and then the other one I wanted to bring
up was justin Jefferson. I mean, you know, Cincinnati's obviously
a notoriously bad defense, but it's just about Wentz. How
much do you trust him? I'm just kind of wondering
your thoughts on that.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
Yeah, veteran veteran quarterbacks, So I think you know you're
in a better spot, like where McCarthy wouldn't pull the
trigger in the last couple of weeks. I would suspect
Wentz realizing he's playing with house money and going Kevin O'Connell,
trusting him to go into the offense. The other thing
is that you risk losing Jefferson if you don't get
him involved early and often. At this point, I think

(14:52):
that receiving corps as a whole that you're gonna need
to really get these guys back in the mix. Frustrations
with McCarthy. I mean, you heard the same whispers I did.
We around the halls of Fox Sports Radio and some
of the voices, and you know, you and I kicking
around things that we do. How much McCarthy injury is

(15:15):
he hard? Yeah? Conspiracy theory, right, I mean or does
he need some more seasoning behind the scenes, and the
injury was the way to do it. I'm loath to,
you know, question the guys when they put a health
tag on him like that, But given what we saw
for those first two games, some of you wants to go, oh, Maybee.

Speaker 3 (15:36):
You know, it also does kind of seem like Kevin
O'Connell is the kind of coach to do that, you
know what, Like he is the kind of guy who's
just very much a player's coach, always going to look
out for his quarterback, shield him from the media. I
really like, I'm not saying I think that this is
the case, but there's absolutely something to it. And it's
not just like a nothing conspiracy theory, because if there

(15:57):
was a coach to do something like this, it would
be O'Connell.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
Yeah, I'm loath to dismiss it categorically. I'll always listen
to it, all right. As we continue, there's the first
half of the Week three episode. I watch you Flex, Mike,
harmon Ian Roddy with you at Ian Roddy Underscore find
me over at Swollen Dome. As we continue, the hot plays,
Cold Sores, Ninjas, the Points Balls and survivor pick from

(16:20):
our traveling reporter Dan Byer, and of course Ian's got
your streaming defenses. All of that coming up as we continue.
I want your Flex Week three. Hey, welcome back. In
another segment, I watch Flex Week three preview, rolling up
Mike harmon, Ian Roddy with you here as we get

(16:41):
ready and let's just jump right into it. The hot
plays for Week three of your NFL season fantasy lineups.
Let's go give me some. Jared Goff in a shootout
against Baltimore on Monday night football, came back after a
rough go with that Packers defense to obliterate the Bears
the Ravens. Yeah, you gotta figure out where Rokwan Smith is,

(17:01):
but otherwise that secondary can be had. Daniel Jones going
up against Tennessee, let's ride the hot hand. If nothing else,
we know he's still going to be active with his legs.
This should be a fun AFC South battle. Yeah that's right,
I said, fun AFC South battle. As India four point
favorite on the road, Jones mixing and matching, and of
course the exploits of Jonathan Taylor on the ground giving

(17:24):
you some options in the play action. Javonte Williams going
up against the Bears top five each of the first
two weeks of the season. Yeah, surprise. So let's ride
the hot hand. He's the number two back in Fantasy
nineteen and twenty two points in his two efforts, Bears
giving up nearly one hundred and fifty yards per game
on the ground to opposing rushers. How about we circle

(17:44):
back for one more quarterback, and that's Caleb Williams. Not
often I get to say, hey, push all in. Well,
Dallas's secondary's gettable. Roman Dune's a twenty targets thus far.
So we'll add him to the list as we go through,
and we'll go back to the other side. You look
at George Pickens, let's just feast on that Bears secondary.
Tony Pollard going back to that Tennessee Indie matchup. He

(18:07):
is the man with some effort out of the backfield
as a receiver. Jordan Mason with Aaron Jones out, you're
looking at Cincinnati. They give up points in buckets, and
here's an opportunity with Wentz under center. Maybe you stretch
a little bit and give Mason some opportunity with some
running lanes. Davonte Adams going up against Philly, He'll get

(18:27):
the jump number two corner right, Mitchell will be chasing
around Puka Nakua, which means Devanta Adams, who's given you
twenty one targets already through two weeks. I'm not looking
for fireworks in this game by any stretch, but opportunities
to make plays there. And then finally one more go
back to that Monday night game Zay Flowers, high target
count for Lamar Jackson thus far, look for that, continue

(18:51):
continuing against that Detroit secondary.

Speaker 3 (18:53):
The Javante Williams thing, to me, just to rewind there
is the weirdest thing in fantasy to me, because he
was going so late in drafts, and every time that
I was faced with the option of drafting him and
you know, mock drafts or real drafts, I passed on him.
And I feel like an idiot. Now, I mean obviously
through two through two weeks, so we'll see what happens.
But man, he's already making it into your hot plays.

(19:14):
I'm I'm really regretting not grabbing Javante everywhere I can.

Speaker 2 (19:18):
Believe me, I've had that as well, because we talked
about it in the preseason and it was dismissed as well,
someone has to carry the ball, yeah, but also with
the right but also it just the expectation of which
is funny because we try to look at wide receiving
the wide receiver position in the tight end position and say, well,

(19:40):
someone has to catch the ball, right, But here with
Joonathay Williams, like, well, will they go get another running back?
Will one of these other options break through right, Miles
Sanders or whoever? And through a couple of weeks you
look at the average draft position. I think he was
thirtieth thirty first something like that at running back, and

(20:00):
right now we all have an egg on our face.

Speaker 3 (20:02):
Yeah, yeah, exactly. And then the other one was DeVante Adams.

Speaker 2 (20:06):
There.

Speaker 3 (20:06):
I like that a lot, just because that Eagle CB
two place as good as their defense is that they
do not have a CB two right now. And I
don't know if it's still a Dori Jackson after week two.
I haven't read into that specifically, but they have been
really bad across from Quinnon Mitchell. And if you take
one of the better number two receivers in the league,
if not the best, in DeVante Adams. Yet that's a

(20:27):
recipe for a big Fantasy Day.

Speaker 2 (20:29):
Yeah, and the guy and Adams coming into the year,
a lot of questions of how quickly things would and
if they'd gel with Stafford that fast, And here we
are looking at him with great opportunity and yack opportunities.
So big spot here, even if again the I think
there's a bit of downward pressure. We're looking at that
forty four and a half total, particularly with Philly not

(20:51):
being able to pass the ball to this point. We'll
see what happens as it flows through. How about we
get to the cold Soares. I'll start with Kyler Murray
against San Francisco, not expecting massive returns here unless he
does some magic with his legs. The passing game. He
and Marvin Harrison Junior still trying to figure out that
connection McBride, etc. So I'm down people chasing the Russell

(21:14):
Wilson efforts of a week ago. No, no, no, Kansas City
a better defense, and I think they start rounding back
into shape. Here's an opportunity. I mean, Kansas City a
big road favorite in this one, a six point road favorite.
Moon Ball might hit one or two. But are you
banking on that? No? I don't think so. Jalen hurts
against the Rams. We left him off of the top five.

(21:34):
Well here he is Tada two hundred and fifty three
passing yards through two games, seventy seven rushing yards, and
it all comes down to do you get the vaunted
goal line opportunities. Rams defense is stingy one of my
favorite units to watch flying around young front and with
the extra bonus of the officials getting looked at a

(21:56):
little closer off of Blandino's comments and some the replays
that you can correct me, but I saw them getting
scrubbed a lot because nobody wanted to have that larger
discussion NFL putting claims on folks and social gun. Yeah,
you don't need to see that. So we'll see if
the tush push gets officiated a little different going forward.

(22:18):
Bo Nick's going up against the Chargers. I'll sitting back
and watch that one with a frosty beverage. Nick Chubb
against Jacksonville had that big touchdown run. Did they let
him score? Did Tampa let him rumble to the end
zone because otherwise he was basically falling forward. I think
he's about six feet with a little bit of spare
change between six and six one. Yeah, falling forward at

(22:39):
about two yards of carry before that. So no thank you. JK.
Dobbins in that split with Harvey going up against the Chargers,
No thank you. Kyn Williams going back to that game,
Blake Korum the Bruiser seeing some run. Kyron Williams right
now is a disappointment through the first couple of weeks
based on his average draft slot Ashton j until he

(23:01):
learns pass protection and actually gives you an effort that
isn't being mocked roundly across I mean late night comedians
can get some run off with some of the efforts
he was giving in past blocking. He's twenty seven through
the first two weeks. No thanks Chase Brown against Minnesota
and the Brian Flores defense. No, I, as much as
I think the passing game can still have some PAYDRT

(23:22):
Brown right now is a guy that I've got to
push down. He's twenty fifth amongst running backs in half
PPR leagues.

Speaker 3 (23:30):
That hurts to hear, Mike, I've got a lot of
shares of Chase Brown.

Speaker 2 (23:33):
You and me, boy, my friend, you and me both.
I bought in quite a bit, and I want to
go back to one more wide receiver. Nico Collins. I
love him. Got the touchdown again, you're gonna play him,
but a tough spot here. You're looking at Jacksonville eight
fewest points to wide receivers and right now Houston struggling
to find a number two compliment.

Speaker 3 (23:53):
Yeah, and then he's you know, he's facing that Jacksonville secondary.
Not that they're known for it or anything, but Tyson
Campbell and Travis. I feel like Travis Hunter has to
emerge at some point here on defense because he was
the number two pick. It's not like they just drafted
an average corner at number two and an average receiver.
They drafted someone they think is going to be elite
in both areas. So I think he'll emerge at some
point here. Maybe not this week, but yeah, I think

(24:16):
it'll happen.

Speaker 2 (24:17):
Yeah, interesting matchup. Houston's offense still waiting to see if
it can click to another level for CJ. Stroud, but
certainly Nico Collins this past week, you got the early
touchdown and then a whole lot of nothing thereafter a
little wishing and hoping again that they're just going to
try to force the ball a ton his way, but
to this point, the muted returns all right, let's get

(24:41):
to the Ninjas. Sam Darnold going up against New Orleans
eighth most fantasy points to quarterbacks, The connection he's got
with Smith and Jigba, some next level stuff you got,
Jordan Love going to begin a Cleveland. Yeah, they're able
to create some chaos defensively against Joe Flacco and company.
So I think some short fields and some opportunity, Tucker
Craft finding some love again. Drake May going up against

(25:03):
Pittsburgh making it happen with his legs in his arms.
It's not gonna be overwhelming, but Pittsburgh's defense to this
point looking a little bit older, and all of the
capitulation to Hayward and such. Maybe not the best look
right now for that squad on the other side. Jalen
Warren three point four yards per carry, No, that's not
getting it down. And you'll see some others chip away.

(25:24):
It won't be Caleb Johnson just yet, but he's active
as a receiver, and I think that's where you find
a little bit of love here, is that he finds
some targets from Rogers out of the backfield. How about
Ted McMillan going against Atlanta. He's got nineteen targets already,
eleven catches, one hundred and sixty eight opportunity here. Look

(25:45):
Bryce Bryce Young growing pains, but certainly he is relying
on his rookie wide receiver early and often. Wondale Robinson
again not bullish that yields a ton of points, but hey,
eighteen targets, fourteen catches, and nearly two hundred receiving yards
through two games. Yes, it was that weird game against
Dallas that pushes it next level, but target counts were

(26:05):
eight and ten, respectively in those first two efforts for Robinson,
So more of that. Deebo Samuel going up against the Raiders,
whether it is the last second re emergence of Daniels
or Marcus Mariota, they'll get him involved. Really was surprised
that he didn't see a carrier two as a runner.
Perhaps we'll see a little bit of more of that.
But back to back weeks with touchdowns, eighteen targets thus far,

(26:28):
and the Raiders secondary gettable. Juwan Johnson, let's throw a
tight end in here, based on a high target count
and a great opportunity against Seattle most fantasy points allowed
per game, something that has been their thing and Johnson
right now ninth most targets in the game, and then
a bit of a price shot to finish the list
ian with Yoshavash of your Bengals the number Yeah, you

(26:52):
know what, thus far just one catch, twelve yards on
five targets. But you always look at backup quarterback coming
in and who they've done some extra work with, and
he and Browning have had a lot of time together,
so I would expect to try to, you know, release
a little bit of the pressure that he gets involved,
which eventually gives us our big opportunities for Jamar Chase

(27:14):
and maybe even a little more t Higgins because right
now he looks like a guy that he needs a
friend in the passing game. But but here's the opportunity
for a number three receiver to make some hang. You
got anybody you want to you want to spotlight in
these matchups A week three?

Speaker 3 (27:28):
Did want to say something about Yoshavash there. The thing
with him is we actually have seen him be very
very good for Fantasy in set weeks. And that doesn't
mean that he's necessarily a guarantee to pan out, but
it means that it's in his range of outcomes. And
like you said, when there's a guy like Jake Browning
who he's done extensive work with off the field, I mean,
you know, on the field, off the field whatever. I

(27:51):
like that a lot, and I think that there's something
to be said about a quarterback's connection with with guys
that he has a personal connection with, like like with
darre car and Rashid Shaheed last year.

Speaker 2 (28:03):
Derek Carr. How soon before we see him back in
an NFL universe.

Speaker 3 (28:06):
He's already teasing it. He's already teasing it. It's just
the fact that he's injured that he can't actually step
back in. But I think I saw on a show
where they kind of asked him, would you ever consider it?
And he did not shut it down. It was more
just the fat that he's injured right now that he can.

Speaker 2 (28:18):
Tell you what. He's very good as an analyst as well.
He jumped right into that role for sure, So we'll
keep watching. I still expect him to get plucked back
out and back onto a field before it's done, particularly
given the spate of injuries we've seen so early in
this twenty twenty five campaign. All right, that's it for
all of my lists. Now let's turn it over to
Dan Byer, we got the points of Balooza and the

(28:40):
Survivor pick for this week.

Speaker 3 (28:42):
Yeah, Dan reporting live from Buffalo.

Speaker 4 (28:44):
She got Dan, Guys, Bears Cowboys have that highest point
total of the week, So that's completely off the board.
Where I'm going to go is actually a divisional matchup
Texans and Jaguars Jacksonville putting points up on the board
first two weeks of the season against Carolina in Cincinnati,
and while think the Texans defense is very stout despite
them losing at the end to Tampa Bay, it's a

(29:05):
short week for the Texans. They're on the road. They
go to Jacksonville, probably gonna be hot. If there's a
point where they could be susceptible or maybe just worn down,
could be on Sunday in that Week three matchup. So
give me Texans Jaguars is my points at Palooza for
the week. And as for Survivor, my Seahawks are going
to be in the driver's seat right now. You're going
to see a majority of Survivor pools have the Seahawks

(29:29):
as the top pick. That's where I am going this week.
Saints play the first road game of the season. I'm
not sure on how many other opportunities you're going to
make sure to pick Seattle. So the Seahawks are a
good pick this week. I think you could see some
people picking the Chiefs as well, because is Kansas City
really going to go zero to three on the season.
They're at New York on Sunday Night football. I'd be

(29:49):
shocked if they lost that game. But the other reason
why you could pick the Chiefs if you wanted, it's
their tough first place schedule that is going to mean
matchups against other top teams. So there may not be
a better spot to pick Kansas City, maybe a road
game later on this season against the Titans, or even
a home game against the Colts. But the culture right
now at two and oh could be formidable. So if

(30:10):
you want to take the easy way, take the Chiefs.
The two teams I'm going to stay away from that
I think could get some love. Those aforementioned Colts two
and zero right now, going to an zero to two
Tennessee team with cam Ward as the quarterback. But Tennessee's
been feisty in their first two games with Denver and
with the Rams. I think that Tennessee, because of the
divisional matchup could maybe get one against the Colts coming

(30:30):
up on Sunday, and then, guys, I can't believe I'm
going to do this. Well, it's not the full creamsicle,
it's still Bucko Bruce. But I'm not going to pick
the Buccaneers despite them wearing their white throwbacks against the Jets,
just because I think Tarad Taylor provides a much needed
change up for the Jets. It's also a short week
for the Buccaneers, even though they're back home. I would
just stay away from that matchup because of some of

(30:51):
the unknowns. I want to pick them with Bucko Bruce,
but I just can't this time around wearing the white
home jerseys. So stay away from Jets, Buccaneers, Seahawks. Chief
are my picks if you want to advance in the
survivor pool. Guys, can't wait to talk to you after
week three.

Speaker 2 (31:05):
There is Live from the Road there in in Buffalo,
getting ready to go through a table.

Speaker 3 (31:10):
Thought I heard some sirens in the background. There is
Dan on the run from the cops.

Speaker 2 (31:14):
Well, creating a little bit of chaos. I mean, maybe
maybe he got a little bit loose, you know, in
a wing wing contest. I mean, I know, that's what
was one of his express purposes, excited to hear about
the trip that that he's out there doing as they
are going to sunset that stadium. So Dan making the
trip this week on the road. I mean, look, I

(31:34):
think week to week we're gonna go Saints hunting for
a while to go find our picks, particularly as they're
on the road with Spencer Rattler. He looks game though.
I'm in a lave with a high target count, you know, Kamaras,
so long as he's there, you're gonna get your effort.
But yeah, I like that one. And then Kansas City
against the Giants. You know, the AFC title odds for

(31:56):
the Chiefs have nearly doubled from plus three fifty or
plus seventy five before the season. They're now out to
plus seven hundred, along with the Chargers that have chased
all the way up the board.

Speaker 3 (32:07):
Yeah, I mean the O two and start, the to
two start can't have help, I'm sure. So, I mean,
because they it's an uphill climb now, like you, they
have to go to and oh over their next few
games just to get back to five hundreds. So I
get it. But just the fact that since Mahomes has
been the starter, they have not missed the AFC Championship
Game once. All they need is to make it into
the playoffs. So I'm far from out on the Chiefs yet.

Speaker 2 (32:29):
That's just it, right, All they need to do is
find their way into the dance and then immediately everybody
starts to pucker. I found it interesting that he made
sure to point out, Hey, I want to pick the Bucks.
But that's about his tepit an endorsement of a team
as you'll ever get with the Jets. Yeah, yeah, ty
Toad Taylor's better. Then Well that's where we're at. So

(32:51):
that's Dan's points of Baloosa and survivor picks for this week.
Good luck in those selections. Ian a couple of streaming defenses.
Let's go find some some points on the wire here.

Speaker 3 (33:01):
Yeah, so this week starting with the Indianapolis Colts. They're
forty two percent rostered in ESPN leagues. Last I saw,
they're playing against the Titans and cam Ward. So I
actually want to go on the record saying I really
do believe in cam Ward and what he's gonna become
in the league. But as of right now, he's someone
that we're gonna be targeting for streaming defenses. He's taken
at least five sacks in each of his first two games,

(33:22):
and he's lost a fumble in both of them as well.
So the Titans also have yet to score at least
twenty points this season, So I like that a lot
for the Colts, who we actually we saw the Colts
defense dominate the Dolphins in a Week one and while
the Titans are better than the Dolphins, I think tentatively,
it showed that the Colts defense at least has it
in their range of outcomes to absolutely dominate a bad team.

(33:43):
So Indianapolis Colts are the first one. Next the Atlanta Falcons.
They're thirty seven point eight percent rostered in ESPN leagues
playing against the Panthers and Bryce Young, the Panthers are
actually probably gonna be down multiple starting offensive linemen who
they just lost for the season, which doesn't help Bryce
Young at all. Through the first two weeks when he

(34:05):
still had them, the Panthers have been the third best
matchup for defenses in the entire league, and the Falcons
are actually currently the top scoring defense on the year
thanks to how they played against JJ McCarthy last week.
So Bryce Young he's another great matchup for them, especially
because he's started to slip back into his interception tendencies
from last season and his rookie year as well. And

(34:25):
then the last thing about Atlanta's defense is they've got
two rookie safeties and Billy Bowman and Xavier Watts. Both
of them are absolute ballhawks, So interceptions are going to
be there to be had, especially because they're playing someone
like Bryce Young.

Speaker 2 (34:38):
Yeah, that's the thing. He's starting to press again, he
really is. And with ward he's reverting to a little
of what we saw from Caleb Williams a year ago.
It's like, I'm going to out chase, you know, I'm
gonna be able to out spin out run this guy.

Speaker 1 (34:51):
Yeah you know.

Speaker 2 (34:51):
Oh no, I just took a bad sat Yeah.

Speaker 3 (34:53):
I mean, you know, worked for that one highlight. But
I don't know if that's something that's the way you
want to live now, that running around the BA field
till someone pops open throw across the field. Anyway. The
third and final defense, the Bucks forty three percent rostered
playing against the Jets, like you said, who were starting
to Rod Taylor at quarterback with Justin Fields out, as
we've been talking about all show. But look last week,

(35:16):
when Fields exited the game in the fourth quarter with
a concussion, Taylor took over, and while he did score
a touchdown, he also took two sacks, and that was
just in one quarter of play. The last time we
actually saw to Rod Taylor as a starter was when
he started the final five games of twenty twenty three
for the Giants, the other New York team. In that time,
he took fifteen sacks and ended the season with a

(35:38):
three game interception streak. So not good last time we
saw Taylor. We'll see if he's had any improvement. But
at this point in your career, you kind of are
who you are. So I like the Bucks defense this week.

Speaker 2 (35:49):
Again, I just want to say completely respect where you're
at in this game already. You may be youthful and
I'm stealing from some of your life fourth for my own,
but the fact that you're able to just be very
pragmatic and going, all right, my team is not very good, right, Oh,
they're terrible. Quarterback is not good.

Speaker 3 (36:09):
It's not like I've had the ups and downs of like,
oh I've seen them be good. No, the Jets have
just been terrible the entire time that I've been a fan.
You know, when I was ten years old there in
the AFC Championship game and they have not made the
playoffs since.
