Speaker 1 (00:01):
I have you the same. Let's go to a mission
one that already ready for the same back lunch. You know,
(00:30):
there are some days where I really wish we had
a secret camera in this room so you guys could
see what Emily is up to? What am I up to?
What the hell the things that are naturally born out
of you? I don't think that people normally let those
kinds of things come out of them, even if it's
naturally there, even if they have a propensity towards it.
(00:53):
You are just so free. What is it that you're
talking about? You? So what did I do that has
prompted you to say that? I don't know. It's it's you.
It's you the way you are. Like we were on
Live earlier and you just decided, you know, you're like, oh, guys,
hold on a second, I'm gonna go downstairs. Like you know,
your pretend staircase, your magic tricks, You're incredibly original dance
(01:17):
moves at any given moment. You're just unique. Oh, I
appreciate that. I'm just having fun, you know, my Yeah,
I know, I know that's the best part. We have
fun with you, just so you know, all of us
your admirers, But speaking of Instagram lives, we were on
Instagram Live because we wanted to present people a last
(01:39):
minute opportunity before we filmed this episode to ask us
any questions that they might have because we are having
an audience based episode, so post it on our Instagram
(02:01):
that people could ask us questions and we would be
answering some of them today. And I put them in
this vase vas vaz which one is it is a vase?
Is it's called vas? I put it on the vase
vowels for us to choose from. Yeah, we we we
want to hear from you, and you know what we
actually do sit listen to your voice mails and laugh
(02:22):
and Stephanie out there we hear. Are you Stephanie from Philadelphia? Yeah,
Stephanie from Fairy But anyway, we do. We love you guys.
So we want to just take a moment to pause
because you know, we've got a a few more flights
left this season and they're going to get saucy. You
want to pause and thank you guys for everything you've
(02:42):
been doing reaching out. So yes, Jim got the vase
vose to pick it back off your statement and to
all of you guys, we wouldn't be us without you.
You're the motivation that keeps us going. And we've learned
so much on this journey with you, and so thank
you so much for being a part of this. Yes,
(03:02):
thank you space travelers. And we are now about to
reach anti gravity. So get ready, you're gonna be floating
about and I'm gonna grab the vase vase? Should we
start with the first? Okay? These are a mix of
some are anonymous, some are from our voicemail. We actually
have a voicemail that we haven't heard yet that we're
gonna listen on the pod, So you guys are gonna
(03:22):
be there part of the listen with us. But some
of the all the questions of the vase voes vary
between anonymous and not none amous, no anonymous, the anonymous?
Should I go first? Sure? All right, here we go?
All right, I described the vase vaz a sm r.
(03:46):
There we go. Okay. Question one, Well that's too that
you grabbed there. How do you feel about Britney Spears
teaming up with Elton John to sing tiny Dancer Stephanie
from Philadelphia? Hey? All right, um, I love the fact
(04:08):
that if you are a musician, that made an impact,
you can continue your career and stay relevant and team
up with people from another generation. I say, go for it.
I am all for collaboration creating art. And you know
what the funny part is, I think that it's beautiful
that some people may like it, some people may not,
(04:28):
But the beautiful part is that art is still merging.
That's what I feel like. The beauty is so slay.
Heck yeah, I second that statement. Yes, all right, I'm
handing jem the vase. Boss. Would you ever get with me?
(04:51):
D um uh yes, yes, yes, Okay, where are these
questions from? Okay, back to the vase? Voskunk. I'm gonna
(05:17):
put a beat between every question. Wow, all right, what
is your worst habit? I have one. Biting my nails.
That's your worst. It's a really bad one. The questions
(05:38):
is worst? I feel like you have another one in
mind for myself for me, Oh no, I just feel
like biting your nails like not that bad. I'm sure
there's one that's worse like mine. Procrastinating that's probably my
worst habit. I leave everything to the last minute. I
just worked so well pressure in that case in security.
(05:59):
It's got really serious. Okay, moving. Wow, should we have
got a drink for this? Right back the scott Okay,
(06:20):
how do you deal with your anxiety when you still
have to perform either your professional life or your personal life?
This is for you. M from Maddie from St. Louis.
I feel like one of the most painful things about
anxiety is that, depending on how far along you are
in your anxious journey, people may not recognize it. Like,
for example, sometimes you may be preparing for a social
(06:44):
gathering or a professional gathering and you're super anxious, but
you have no choice but to kind of just be
there and face it, and you're eating a lot of
the pain and a lot of the trauma. But a
lot of people don't see it. So for me, when
I've been my most anxious, I try to hold some
(07:06):
space for myself because when of my most anxious, I'm
thinking about everybody else and that can be a little
bit dangerous. You have to, like, you know, think about
your responsibilities, but also think about what's best for you.
You know. Hm, interesting, Alright, go again your turn because
an answer one? So I'm doing Oh okay, well it
(07:29):
will still be for both of us, all right, But sure,
what genre of music is your least favorite from zilma. Um,
I don't think it's fair to say that I have
a least favorite. Ah, but I think that the genre
(07:53):
that I listened to the least is like pop country.
M hmmm, I think okay. I mean I don't know.
There's probably no that's not true. I'll probably like you
know some I feel like you don't like scream All,
But even scream All, I listened to it at some
point for like a second when I was in my
(08:14):
Vans and pacts on Emo phase and my kid. I
seen kid haircut with the deep ast side part. God
bless the two. Love it. Hot topics, Hot topic, Okay,
here you go, Okay, switch switch, I haven't even touched this.
(08:36):
What is your definition of happiness? You go first? Okay? Um.
I think that happiness is a state that we choose.
That's my definition of happiness. I think that happiness is
a decision. It's an outlook, it's a perspective. I think
(08:58):
that if we try, we can find joy, happy things
in any situation. And what it takes, and I know
that it's much easier said than done, but what it
takes really really is making a decision to go there.
So that's profound. I'm going to build on what you said.
(09:20):
There's a documentary literally called Happy and it's about this
man who drives a rice cart. That's his job and
he makes a dollar a day and as so as
long as his family is fed, and he's very happy
pulling the rice cart. And I think that it's a
beautiful just reminder, it's a beautiful reminder that, as you mentioned,
(09:44):
happiness is a choice. Right now, there are variables that
weight that factor into that, like the pressures of our
life and the fact that if you're in a certain career,
you have a certain passion. Oftentimes you have to be
a part of this ever so changing you know world. Yeah, however,
(10:07):
even in that environment, you can choose to be happy
and self regulate and you know, choose the right things.
Super evolved. So yeah, But so for me, happiness is
not money, it's not having children, it's not all the
things that you know are written in a story. Happiness
(10:27):
is waking up and not every moment, but most moments,
being grateful, being a piece, yes, you know, being regulated,
being healthy, health is wealth. It really is so respecting
our own boundaries, respecting others. Yeah, like I say it
all the time and then we can move on. But
(10:49):
this was a great question. Thank you. I'll never forget.
It was my last day of college and and Victor
wou and I bring him up a lot, but he
really stuck him in line. He said, what's your definition
of success? And so many people said wealth, recognition, you know, etcetera.
And he goes, no, no, no, no. Do you want
(11:10):
to be a musician? Are you playing every day? And
you're a musician? Right, it's perspective. If you wake up
and you have the will to practice your instrument, you
wake up, you have the will to go to the gym,
you wake up, you have the will to eat better.
Those are all definitions of success. It's not recognition of others.
But do you think success is happiness? Then I think
(11:33):
that if you reinterpret your definition of success, it will
align with your happiness. I think that you should make
your happiness your definition of success. M hmm, preach sister,
And I don't say, you know, happiness is a choice,
like as if sadness is a choice. But I think
(11:56):
that in the grander scheme, like you said, most of
the time, I am finding that our emotional states are
a lot of the times products of our thoughts, and
so if you shift your way of thinking, then your
(12:16):
emotions are sure to follow. There have been moments where
I really want to do something right, go somewhere, let's say,
and it's just has it ever happened to you that,
like everything starts to fall through your way there ends
up not working out. The people we were going with
aren't going to go, and you're like, is the universe
trying to send me a sign? You can look at
(12:37):
that situation, and there are moments where I've just been
upset and I'm like, oh, this person bailed and oh
my god, my, you know whatever. Or there have also
been moments where I'm like, huh, maybe the universe is
trying to tell me something, and maybe it just saved me.
I'll just stay home and watch a movie. You know.
Definitely the second one is a much happier outcome. But yeah,
(13:01):
I acknowledge all feelings. I certainly feel them. I think
the more pain you feel, the more happiness you're able
to feel. I think it's like a balance a rubber
band ebb and flow. Yeah, alright, the vase, vase past,
the vase, past, the vase, past the vase, vase past
(13:24):
past the I love this. I wonder where you're going
to go next me? Thanks, No, I mean with your music.
I don't know. Let's see any pets, all right? A
little offended you asked to be honest. Um, we have
(13:46):
I feel like pets is the wrong word because they're
really members of our family. We have four dogs, and
the shot and the birds that I tried to feed,
and also the squirrels that I tried to feed. Oh,
we have from oldest to the youngest, Ocean, who is
the regal one of the house. She is not to
(14:06):
be bothered if she does not want to be bothered.
But it's also the sweetest, cuddliest, most affectionate of all. Next,
we have Nova. Nova is a cow personified as a dog.
She is a sweet little baby with two different color
eyes who gives the youngest kisses of all. And we'll
(14:30):
also cuddle, but on her terms. After We have a Lula.
A Lula is like Jem, says a German shepherd hit
with a shrink ring gun. Literally, she's an old lady baby,
which means that she's like a little she's old, but
then she has a personality of like a puppy and
(14:51):
she wants to play. And she's Gordita. She's so cute,
she's very cat like. She loves you know, scratch her,
but won't like you, will cass you no matter what,
no matter what. And then we have Cleopatra a K.
Cleo aka Cleopatra Jones. All our dogs are their names Jones.
And and she um. Somebody left her on Chrome Avenue
(15:13):
in Miami, on the side of the road when she
was five weeks old, and she had worms and fleas
and a distended belly. And we took care of her.
In a word, She's done the house and Leone, did
you say? Leone? The cat well? And then our cat Leona,
and Leona Leona adopted us. Leona's our outdoor cat, who
(15:36):
showed up one day on the porch and started be
out like a singer, like a beautiful singer under a bush,
and we knelt down and would speak a couple of
words to her and she would be out in return.
We had a whole conversation, and ever since that day
she comes every single day and we feed her and
we love her. She never leaves our porch. Leona Lewis
(15:56):
And when we get home at night. She meets us
by the car ours and escorts us to the front door.
She's a sweetheart. We're so lucky all girls, by the way,
all seven of us. Yikes. Literally all right back to
the days drinking. Here we go. What is the worst
(16:22):
advice you've ever given? I've given some bad advice, but
you know what the worst part is not I guess
it's the best part. I've never given bad advice knowing
that it's but you know, I think, honestly, thinking back,
the worst advice I've ever given what was There was
(16:45):
a friend of mine, and I've been Harry my whole life,
like really really Harry. Okay, And you know, if you
have a lot of hair out there, you know the
struggle because it's either shaving or waxing or lazy or
you know, like you have to pick one. And so
I remember it was the first time that I had waxed,
(17:08):
like my armpits, my bikini whatever. And I right when
I waxed it, I thought it was incredible because the
hair was gone, but it was really painful. But I
was so hairy that like three days later I had
bruises on my body. So one of my friends it
was my senior year of high school, and she asked
me what he thinks the best way to get rid
(17:30):
of hair, like to take pictures, and I was like waxing,
But she was as hairy as I was. So then
she bruised and I was like, would you like her? No? No,
I mean like, I think you didn't like her, That's
what I mean. Why would you think that? You meant like,
(17:50):
were you into her? Oh? No? No? No, Like, why
would you If I got waxed for the first time
and I got bruise, I'd never be like, oh, we
missed the best part of the story. Well, I had
just wax and I hadn't started bruising yet, so I
was like, I look great, this is the best thing
you could do wax, you know. And then I started
(18:11):
boozing and I was like dog like, you know, And
then yeah, she had to cover it up with makeup.
It was a whole chobagel. What pictures were these? Like
senior pictures? Like where was she waxing armpits? Oh? You
know senior picture bikini? I mean, yeah, sure, if you
(18:32):
okay bikini wax, Yeah, I know, but why are you
taking senior pictures in a pikini like not for school, like, oh,
I'm eighteen, you know you had some very interesting friends.
I went to private school, Like, I've never heard of
this before? But yeah, okay, senior PEKINI shots? Why the funk?
(18:52):
Not sucking? Hand the thing over? Alright? Jem has the vase? Bo?
Isn't it like me? The question you're reading exists only
in Nana Cherry's fever dream? What do you think you
would have done in your life before coming to know
that this is all just a vibrant quarter of Nana's subconscious? Um?
(19:13):
I gotta go okay, mm hmm, who's Nana Cherry? To begin?
Who's Nana Cherry? And why are we in her dream?
Why couldn't we be in Beyonce's dream or my dream?
At that? Uh? Isn't it likely the question you're reading
(19:34):
exists only in nan A Cherry's fever Yes? To answer
your first question, Yes, it's totally likely that the question
I'm reading exists and only in Nana Cherry's fever dream.
What is Nana Cherry's fever dream like? And what do
I think I would have done in my life before
coming to know that this is just a vibrant quarter
of her subconscious. Um, probably the same exact thing that
(19:58):
I'm doing right now that led me to this moment.
So because I wouldn't be aware that I was at
her subconscious like new So my answer is the same.
My answer is confusion. Okay, I tried so hard, Jerry, Okay, wow,
I the amount of times that you've grabbed would and
(20:19):
put it back in there is astonishing answer. Okay. Oh
what would be a good song for an alien to
dance too? Oh? My god, blue? If I would agreed,
I And if it's my answer, you can give your own.
What's yours? Mine is um? Let's wow, that was pretty good,
(20:50):
especially for an alto I'm proud of you. What's the
name of that? Anybody's seen the fifth element? Of course? Okay?
Past or you? I don't know by Atlantic's war set Okay?
Or my song don't want you to know my feelings,
which is literally and that's what an alien don't. Well,
that song is actually about aliens. They don't know that
(21:11):
that song exists. Okay. Well, there's a song that's coming
out of mine called the one you Know My Feelings
And the first line is, um, I think it's finally
time for me to meet your kind. I'll make the
trick on my own. It's literally about an alien wanting
to meet humans, so I think that would be good
(21:34):
for aliens. Yeah, alright, your turn, Vos. Excuse me while
I peeled myself off this mine in my melted at stake.
It's just like, why do you just, you know, do that?
Why do you just open your mouth and do that
to be like that? That's what she said. Okay, I'm too,
(21:57):
Jim Zero. Who is your last Instagram search? Don okay,
you can't lie either. You can't lie either. Ready, ready, ready,
my last Instagram search? Who you read it? Emily Stefan?
(22:18):
What the heck? It's not gonna be me? How do
you know? Because I know you Lenny, and then you
oh my god, wait it's me. It's you, and then
the whalers on mine. We're just obsessed with the whalers
and then and then my my nail salon. Okay, yeah, okay, anyway,
(22:42):
that was a good one. Okayaz, would you ever visit Cuba?
Actually we answered this question in our episode Cosmic wonder Lists,
So if you want to know the answer, go listen.
I'm doing my favorite questions ever. Three words a pinioned
(23:08):
on birds. My opinion of birds is freedom, the feeling
of feathers and lightness, and the fact that you can
float on air, and the fact that you hear the
call in the morning. And when they don't have words,
they have whispers. They have the vibrations to under your mind,
(23:30):
don't into your soul, to make you feel that life
is not about air, it's about birds. What about you? Wow?
What comes to mind immediately is put a bird on it.
Put a bird on it, put a bird on it.
What do I feel about birds? I feel I respect them,
I don't eat them. I am afraid to be shot um,
(23:54):
and I think they're one of the worst animals. You
could keep us a pet. Every time I see a
cage bird, I want to free it. Every time. It's
like it's literally bord to fly. That's my pinto birds. Okay,
thank you, you're anonymous. Thank you? Oh okay, these ass
(24:15):
that's a ship around and glaze. What is the weirdest
thing you love about each other? The weirdest? Don't like
anything I love about you is weird. I think it's
perfectly understandable or all of it is weird. So you
have no perspective or all of it. What's the weirdest
thing I love about you? Like weird that I love it,
or it's weird that you do it, but I love it.
Which is I think, like the weirdest thing about me
(24:37):
that you love? Okay, weird just thinking about you that
I love? I love? What's something weird about you? Your
weirdness is what I love about you? Okay, there you go.
That's it's hard for me to answer everything that's weird
about that's your answer. My weirdness is what you love
(24:58):
about me? Yeah, what about you? The weirdest thing I
love about you? I love that you are willing to
be weird, like in moments in my life where I've
gone places and people are like, okay, that's too far.
Like if we're having a conversation like oh yeah, we'll
be much old give girl, You'll be like, oh yeah,
(25:20):
well you know what I mean. And I'm like mm
hmm okay, So I love that you'll go there with me.
I'm secretly weird. You think it's a secret, but I
think I only certain people bring that side out of me.
All Right, You've got the key, baby, I've also got
the vase bos there you go. Thanks for that. What
(25:43):
happened to your songs? I kind of missed them? My song? Please?
It's like good? Yeah, all right, I have an idea.
Why do we take a little break and then when
we come back, we're going to listen to that voice
(26:04):
wheel all right, we'll be your back. Yeah, it's your
girl idea? Boys, mail what happened? Also? I don't have
(26:29):
a dollar, I have a cat? Can I still win?
Can I still join? Okay? So, UM, I just called
to say and it's the last phone call session. I
hope we make it this um phone call session. And
um I'm a huge Um, I'm a huge M and
(26:50):
drum fan. Or stop you guys, I know what your
cat looks like. Imagine. I really appreciate everything you at
the Doing this podcast gives me all the fields. I
mean literally, sometimes I wind up crying at work, but
probably by polarge and my boss, Like why n't I
(27:11):
just see you laughing one second and then crying to
that I'm talking to me. You're not gonna understand her head?
Oh no, um no, I really dang, guys, you got
there changing lives out here. I guess. Um, I'll ask
one question here we go. What made you guys say like, oh,
(27:34):
let's do this, Like were you guys bored or like
like hey, I feel like we can really bring we
can really bring some awareness to people, or like did
that all happen as it went on? Like Hey, I'm bored?
You want to do a podcast? And I'm like, yeah, sure,
And then like Jem was like, oh I know, mat fact,
let me hit people fact. And then I was like, yo,
(27:56):
you sure do let's do that. And I'm funny but yeah,
you know I how funny too? Yeah you are? And
then what like I do want to understand more or
less like did you guys do this and and kind
of a way knowing that you were going to change
guys or or kind of like open minds or did
(28:16):
you actually do things on away? Man? Here you are
now you're changing lives? Help that not along question? Why
by guy? What a cuty? I loved that? Okay? Um yeah,
(28:43):
first of all, thank you. That was littered with beautiful compliments. Um,
I guess because our lives are being changed in the moment.
I don't know, At least for me, I don't think
of it as like, you know, with the exception of
my mom's story, which I always wanted her to share. Um,
(29:04):
I didn't think of it as like, oh, we're going
to change lives with this, because I feel like our
lives are being changed in the moment, and you guys
are just experienced to get alongside of us. So it
means a lot to me that you feel that way
about us. I think that's one of the nicest things
that anyone has said about this show, at least one
of them for sure. What right about you, baby? Yeah? Wow?
(29:25):
I mean, first of all, thank you. Like Jim said,
we it's called in our own world for a reason
because we want to share with you all what we love,
what expands our mind, what is truly a part of
our everyday life. So yeah, how did the podcast come about?
The opportunity came to us, and we were more than
(29:46):
happy to jump in because this is what Gim and
my relationship is like. We talked about a bunch of stuff.
We have cool friends, and it's incredible to hear that
people out there are hearing us and feeling us because
every time we sit here and we talked, we're always
thinking about who's on the other end of it, and
(30:07):
it almost feels like you guys are here sometimes, so
thank you and thank you for the beautiful voice. Mollent.
How did this podcast start? Take it away? Jem? Okay,
So it was actually it was actually somebody from Red
Table who introduced us to my Heart and thought of
the idea for Emily and I to have a podcast.
(30:28):
At that point, there was nothing, nothing decided yet about
the podcast. We had no name, we had no theme,
we had no idea we had we honestly weren't even
podcast listeners at that point, and we were like, what
are we going to do? Yeah, but also you know,
Jem took a step back and really thought about branding
and like who we really are and created this whole
(30:51):
world for us that's so representative of who we are
and what we do. So that's what we wanted to
bring to the table. We said, all right, you want
to hook us up, if you want to help us out,
we have a lot to say. And Jem created a
perfect little representation of and what we are, down to
what we wear, down to our you know, safety pin coverage,
(31:13):
our space suits. These are these are actually one of
my prouder creations for the podcasts YEA and our Patches,
which hopefully will be available to you guys soon. Wow,
way to drop it like that. I mean, I'm just
saying we were, I mean whoever was on the live earlier,
which you know hopefully we'll do. But yeah, I'm just saying.
You know, everybody wants it in our own world patch
(31:36):
you can put it anywhere. Ye all right? Well, should
we go back to the Vase Vox for a couple
of questions before we leave today's flight? Yeah? We should
all right back to the songs of the vase Vase
the vas vase in the vase vese vox. What's the
(31:58):
worst food you've ever eat in? Okay? For me, anything
really spicy and one time I did have lamb and
it tasted like mush. I did not enjoy it. Oysters,
disgusting boogers. I've had oysters and I actually don't mind them.
Gross cross Cross. How about no, thank you? You know
(32:20):
you never even ate seafood, though, even when you write okay,
that goes to show if I don't eat seafood, you
think I want to eat fucking boogers of the scene. Sorry,
no offense to oysters. I'm sure they prefer that you
don't want to eat them. Save the oysters. All right,
back to the base ball. Can you please tell us
your love story? How did you all start dating another one?
(32:43):
I would love to tell you our love story and
you can go listen to it on episode one, Welcome
to our world, in our own world. Back to the vase,
well kinking gem. What would it like being raised by
your grandparents while your mom served time? Okay, so first
(33:07):
I'd like to and I'm I'm sorry if I've said
anything that made this unclear. I wasn't raised by my
grandparents when she served time because when my mom went
in she I was already seventeen. So but I did.
They did play a huge role in my upbringing before that.
(33:29):
So what was it like to have my grandparents play
a huge role in my life? In general? Incredible? I
will die saying that I have the best grandparents in
the world. There to me, there's nothing like them. They
nothing can touch them. They are They really are incredible
people who just are extremely selfless, extremely family oriented. I
(33:52):
don't think I would be me without them. Um, what
was it like two be without my mom? It said?
And team in New York City by myself completely and
you know, sort of a strange from my dad at
that moment, Uh, really tough, but I tried to focus
(34:13):
on having fun at that point. You know, a few
months into my mom being there, I turned eighteen and
then you know again, I was in New York City
and at that moment, I was really lucky to be
surrounded by a group of girls that, even though we're
not so much in touch now, we'll always hold a
special place in my life. Carmen is one of them,
who you know, I love love love love love love.
(34:35):
Love was such a huge part of my heart and
they helped be my family in that moment when I
was so far from mine. So I know, maybe wasn't
the answer you were looking for, but it was a
great one. Thank you. Boss. Okay, have you seen the matrix?
I have seen the matrix. I have seen the matrix.
(34:57):
You want to know something really cool about the matrix? Hmm?
Slicely based off neo Platonism. Oh how do you know that? Well,
because I learned about neo Platinism and my my teacher
at the time made the connection for me. Neo was
his name concept of trinity and the source exists neo Platinism.
(35:17):
And you know what is neo trying to get to
the whole time. There you go. That's for you. For me,
bokan kang kange, the face based pass and the fast
pass ways. What's a belief you hold with which many
(35:41):
people disagree? Dry Hernandez. I think that most people tough
because I feel like after if I could have a
conversation with these people, they'd probably agree with me at
the end of it. But I think most people don't
agree that which I believe that monogamy isn't natural. That's
(36:04):
something that I believe that I've found that I want
to bring it up in conversation. At first, people are like,
what do you like, Well, we're not penguins or seahorses,
that's for sure. Well, it is in nature. It's not Sorry,
I should say, it's not our natural about it's not
natural to humans? About that there's natural it is natural
(36:26):
to other animals. Yet and it's also a choice, exactly
exactly what I believe. I believe monogamy is a choice. Yeah,
what about you? Okay? And I really wholeheartedly believe this,
that there will be a restaurant one day, oh where
animals can cook your food and we can pay them
(36:47):
fair wages. You will let this go. I mean I
won't because I really it does believe that. I really
believe you can't pay animal fair wages because their value
according to their value system, it doesn't consistent. Curtesy Land shelter,
you're basically just care it's slaving a species and slaving
(37:09):
Who said that for you? That it's the allegory of
the cave? You know, don't listen Plato. I know the
allegory of the cave. And you know what, yes, how
much better is does an animal board in captivity know
they're in captain not going to be born, They're going
to be injured, They're going to be what they're in Gemini,
gonna be chimpanzees without legs or the chimpanzee. So now
(37:31):
you're discriminating. So now you're enslaving and discriminate. I'm saying that.
Imagine a chimpanzee that has no legs, that has no
chance about running its predators. We don't want to give
it shelter in a job. You know, I don't want
to give it a job. Seeing the videos they can
stir fry, then I want to give it shelter. I
don't want to make it work. Jem. They love it.
(37:52):
They love it. It's not work for them. What do
you mean they're gonna have to switch out every so
often because there's so many animals that need this job
that needs it is opportunity geminy. You don't know you
see you go. Look, here's one of the people who
disagrees with my belief. There you go. People out there,
please come to my aid. Who wants to come see
this happen to Everybody knows that animals thrive on mental stimulation.
(38:17):
Imagine a blender. We're on the top of the blender.
You have all these shapes, strawberries, bananas, put the shapes in,
and all of a sudden boom, you have an amazing,
delicious smoothie made with love and care and by an
animal who then we'll have a massage after they're doing shift,
probably touch their booty and then touches smooth Because you
don't think that, guys at the bar do that? Please? Lord,
you are something else? You really believe? You really do?
(38:41):
I really do. Wow, I ever noticed that our base
falls kind of looks like a flying SWASSA. Don't stop
diverting the animal restaurants happening. Okay, you know what I
appreciate that it would be very entertaining, But I don't
think it's the hashtag upset ethical. You know, I don't
think your ethic over it. Go back to the vase, boss,
(39:18):
How did you find your tribe? My wife and I
live in North Carolina, a pretty conservative area. Our friends
live all across the country, but it's hard to find
a local support system. You know what My support system
isn't local. I have a lot of friends who don't
live here who I talk to. Yeah, um, how did
(39:40):
I find my tribe? By a lot of weeding, a
lot of weeding out. I think your tribe changes depending
on where you are in your life. There are some
people that you know, Like we talked about friendship episode,
coming to it, out of your life. Put yourself out there.
(40:03):
Maybe go to places that you wouldn't normally go to.
Talk to people you wouldn't normally talk to. Yeah, you
don't know who you might be. Introduce yourself to your
neighbor who knows there's a potential for a friend anywhere.
What about you? Um? I think that your tribe can
(40:25):
change depending on where you are in your life. For me,
my tribe is always family lead because we've always just
been there for each other. However, I think that you
need to find people outside of your family that are
there for you in other ways. And most of those
(40:46):
people for me are also not here. So in conclusion,
you can find your tribe in a variety of ways.
I think it's a combination of friends, family, or some
people don't have families, some people don't have friends. But
it's whoever is makes you feel good, whoever shows up
for you, and whoever with time you grow to trust. Yeah,
(41:10):
put yourself out there. If you could ethically safely have
any animal as a pet, what would it be to humans?
Count If I could have a pet human now would
be so dope because you just put me with leashes
(41:35):
and collars and just men. Sounds good, it says ethically. Okay,
this is a false reality, alright, don't judge me based
off of the current perspective. Mm hmmm, No, I'm just kidding. Uh,
but for real, maybe like a lion. If I could
(41:57):
safely have a lion and ethically have a lion, I
just think pets's even though I have pets. You, I
just think I know it's weird. I have I love
hate relationship with the concept of owning another being. Yeah no, yeah,
for sure. But if I could ethnically and safely have
any animals and pet I have a beluga whale. Wow,
I wasn't even thinking about aquatic animals. I'd have like
(42:19):
an entire ocean. Here's my whale, and his name would
be more Jo jo Jo because they have a little
flung head, you know, like the jello head, and they're
so cute and you don't want to kiss their little
slimy head. Baby vluga in the deep blue Seaga. That's
(42:42):
what I want, Okay, I love that. Go ahead and
do another one. Okay. I would like to know what
perfume each one of you guys use f eighteen. I
usually bleed my perfumes. I don't really have just one
right like, I'll combine right now, I'm blending a lot
(43:06):
of black orchid tom Ford. That's like a staple I
have ever since I discovered it, my mom found at first.
It's been on my counter, and that there's a couple
of other perfumes that are on my counter that I
mixed with that. But that's like the base usually is
a black orterkid. That's my real one. S Right now,
I'm actually doing Joean Malone one. Yeah, yeah, but it's
(43:28):
not my set. I'm in between sense right now. I
know you are finally transitioned out of real us baby clothes.
Yeah alright. Where do the two of you see yourselves
in five years? M hmm. I think if you would
have asked me this a year ago, immediately I would
have thought of a location, or I would have thought
(43:49):
of some kind of goal. Okay, you know, like, oh
we'd be doing this or here or you know, but
I don't see that anymore. Okay, what do you see?
I see just being physically more fit. Okay, that more healthy.
(44:14):
I'm speaking for myself. I want to eat more, you know.
I see myself being more focused on my my health,
you know, both externally and internally, so food and exercise.
I see myself creating not only creating music, but creating
love with you. And the location is kind of irrelevant.
(44:38):
I guess. I'm just thinking about what it would feel
like to be further along in health and creation. I'm
not putting a time limit on it, so we'll see
where location wise that takes me. But I'm thinking about
those kinds of things. What about you love that originally
(45:02):
when you first read the question, I thought, where do
I see myself of five years? And I thought traveling more,
because that's something that I feel like I didn't do
enough of in the last five years. Um, any kind
of travel, really experiencing more. I also see myself creating more,
(45:29):
and hopefully I'll have already created the habit of exercise,
because that's something that that I never got instilled in
me because I never played sports and I never I
didn't even have PE. You know, my last PE class
was fifth grade because I went to art school, so
six through twelfth grade I didn't have PE in the
slot where I would have taken a PE class. And
(45:50):
I had music, which is great because some people didn't
have music for sure, but wow, I could have used
some PE. Yeah. Um. I Also, it's funny because not
a year ago, but when I was younger, I would
(46:11):
say like, oh, but I want to have my first
kid by twenty I want to be a young mom,
And like I really believed that. Even at five, I
was like, how can I have a kid in three years?
You know, that was what I thought was a life
goal for me. Now that I'm twenty eight, I don't
even know if they're in my five year plan, I
(46:35):
really don't. I see myself experiencing the world with you.
I see myself focusing on my career. You're focusing on
your career as focusing on the projects that we do together.
I see you, know, us growing so many ways and
(46:56):
enjoying the moment. In five years, I see myself enjoying
the moment. Yeah, whatever, the moment, maybe with a little
bit of travel, a lot of bit of tequila. Now, yes,
all right, thank you for that question. Here's the boz
vase Germaine bee song for the boz vase. I'm running
(47:18):
out a song for the vase vase of oz. I've
got to come up with a name for you that's
like equivalent to Germaine. But for Emily, I'm a loon Amelia,
I'm a loon. Ah guess who by be? It's the
last question, bum bum, I can't even ground. Oh it's
(47:41):
so tiny. The last question, what is your favorite tattoo?
What a good one? Dang? Okay, you want to go first?
You want me? You go first? Okay, I don't have
that many tattoos. Maybe em needs a little bit more
time to figure it out. But I only have three tattoos.
(48:04):
They're all small, they all are very meaningful to me.
What is about my writing? What is about my music?
And what is about my spirituality? And my favorite is
this hexagon that I have that represents two things for me,
but really one story. You can find a hexagon and
(48:25):
a lot of the shapes of sacred geometry Metatron's cube,
especially the outermost part of it, and basically the fabric
of the universe as a as a belief and what
lies beyond and on a very physical way, in a
very physical way, it's the shape that bees make for
(48:49):
their honeycomb and as humans we wouldn't be able to
survive without them. So for me, it's a reminder that
you can't have one without the other. Yeah, I love that.
Thank you. What about you? Well, as you know, all
(49:10):
of my tattoos means something very important to me. And
my first tattoo was designed by my grandma, my mom's
mom unwillingly, which means a lot to me, a lot
to me. But this's my first tattoo, you know, it
always it's always special. But the one that to me
personally means the most, which is unsuspecting, is the one
of my forearm it's kind of like a triangle, a
(49:33):
diamond more and in the middle of the diamond there's Saturn,
and on the top there's a seashell, and on the
bottom there's a light bulb, and they're all connected by
a very very thin line. And it's kind of like
this whole explanation of my belief system because the largest
item of my belief system, because for example, there are
(49:58):
three kinds of ways to believe in something. Number one
is something like the seashell on top, which while we're
in this physical world, we can pick up, we can touch,
you know, sand, the seashell, something you can touch with
your own hands and see with your own eyes, you know,
something that physically is in front of you, tangible. Then
(50:19):
the second thing, like the Saturn represented in the middle,
are things that we believe to be true because of
what people show us in kind of a secondary resource
like a photo. Oh look, here's a photo of Saturn.
You know, astronauts go up in space, and I trust me,
we've been to the moon and this and that telescope
looking at the moon or whatever, right, and we take
it at face value, and we have alternate information. But
(50:42):
the reality is that in our lifetime. It's really not
that realistic that we will physically touch and see a
lot of these things, right, But a lot of people
still believe in it. We don't question it. And then
the third, the light bulb represents ideas things that you
will never see a picture of, you will never touch
(51:02):
in your physical lifetime. You know, religion, philosophies, you know, thoughts,
things like that, And what makes you believe in them
is not the fact that they are tangible, that they
are seen in a picture. The fact that connects the
the string that connects these three ideas together. It is
(51:26):
not the fact that they are in front of you.
It's the fact that you believe in them in your mind.
That's what makes them real. That's what forms a belief system.
Not the fact that they are vibrating atoms, the fact
that us in our brain believe them to be true.
So and then they're all linked together. So that means
a lot to me. It's like one of my smallest tattoos,
(51:46):
and really you wouldn't think any huge, but it means
a lot to me. I love that. It's actually my
favorite tattoo of yours. Two thank you. Yeah, But anyway, well,
this was a blast. Yeah, you guys have some great question.
I'm impressed. I'm very impressed. I mean I should have known.
We should have now, we should have known. I love
(52:08):
any time that we can fly and include you guys
out there, because, like we mentioned, not only do we
love and appreciate you, we feel you as a part
of our flight crew from the Cosmos mm hmm. And
as I mentioned earlier, these flights are few and far between,
(52:30):
and we've got a lot of rocket power coming. So
keep flying with us, and thank you for joining us
this week on in our own world. Baby. Thank you.
We love you guys very much. We'll see you next week.
