After a thrilling conclusion to the NFL season this past Sunday, the ITG crew discuss the biggest moments from Super Bowl LVI, OBJ's $200k cleats, social media's all-out war on Eli Apple (and how he should've covered Cooper Kupp on the game-deciding TD), Vernon Hargreaves running on the field to celebrate, Super Bowl champion Ben Skowronek, and the best halftime show in recent memory. After, they break down the best NFL Draft prospects they played this year and some names that are getting overlooked.

...And stay until the end to hear an off-the-rails hypothetical about fighting 100 miniature Aaron Donalds.

Speaker 1 (00:01):
The volume What's Up Everybody? Welcome back to the Inside
of the Garage podcast. I'm CAYL Amilton along with k J.
Wallace Conradian Art. Today is Valentine's Day'll be Valentine's Day

(00:23):
to everybody out there. Um, I hope you been in
it with your loved ones and the folks that you
really love. You don't have a girlfriend, boyfriend, or significant
other than chilling link on a sneaky link, but I
hope everybody is having a great day. Today is the
day after the Super Bowl obviously, so first of all,
I just want to get y'all as initial thoughts is
on the game. For me, it's probably massed affort. I know,

(00:44):
I said, Um, I wanted the bank was to win,
but it's probably messed after because of like all you
have to overcome not really not winning one layoff game
with Detroit being there for what twelve years, fourteen years,
just to see him in his first year go to
a new team and want a Super Bowl, that's pretty amazing.
So there's definitely a fun game, and it's funny like
when you're not like an avid fan of one of

(01:05):
the two teams in Super Bowl, you watch a little different,
like a bunch of guys like Zeke Correll talking to
be big angles fan. The penalties a lot that happened
in the game. Everyone's blaming the rest or selling the calls,
and I was like, like, I I didn't see like that.
That was like a relatively you know, straightforward football game.
But end of the day, happy for Stafford, super Cup.
At unreal season, Joe Burrow will probably be back in

(01:27):
the Super Bowl, So I was happy for Stafford for
some reason. I don't know what it was, but it
was like the Bengals, and I feel like they've been
like this all year, but they've been like a team
where they'll have like two and three crazy plays in
a row. Happened to him, and like their momentum, they're
real good with like momentum swings. I want to say
how Aaron Donald affected the end of the game like that,
like a nursing a d tackle just stop a whole

(01:48):
offense like that. By my stuff, I mean that the run,
it was third and two, third and one third shot
whatever it was, he just got off this guy and
just made a tackle. Then the very next play fourth down,
and they gotta they gotta get af he's the one
effective to throw. I was just like he's been an
All Pro for reasons. I think of seven seasons, eight seasons,
I think if you count this one. I just thought
that was crazy to see. I think a defensive tack

(02:09):
on interior lineman like that. Definitely a shout out to
Aaron Donald. I thought Jamar Chase kind of showed everybody
he was obviously like one of the best series in
the league already. I feel like he was just unbothered
by the moment. Same thing with Joe Burrow. Did you
see the last play j marches like Ramsey had fallen down. Yeah, yeah,
like Borrow had a little more time. Was he looking

(02:30):
at him or not? I don't know, but if you
had more time, he probably would have seen it. He
almost completed that past. I don't know. That's crazy. I
would have been like, I was so sick, C'll get hurt.
That's been my favorite players. It's like I was in
like middle school that he was my screen series stuff
like that, like being a big L s U fan,
so like I was wanted him to do well and
like he was going crazy in the first quarter and

(02:52):
then on some fluke stuff. He's just I think they
said it was torn a c O. But you'll think
that the turf has something to do with that, like
the show Turf. I think it has more to do
with like the fact that they played. That was her
twenty first game of the season. One games going through
that with your body and I feel like it bodies
it to tiarates over time, and like it looks so
casual the way you did that, Like you've seen it

(03:14):
catch the ball turning field that was the times and
it's just like that was it looks like a real
casual tear, like the way it just tore. Its just
it's so frustrating for injuries like that because they're so definitive,
like boom happened a cl there's nothing you can do
about it. You's have such a good game, and just
the way that it looked in the way there's like
a non contact style injury. Everyone's like that on for

(03:35):
she looks like it's a legament tear and then obviously
it is. He doesn't come back, and it just sucks.
He had a good game. This season didn't start off
great for him on the Browns. It was like a
really cool ending for him and then obviously just a
really unfortunate injury. Yeah, I personally don't leave like the
turf thing. I just I just can't get really under
it because it's just like play on turf every day

(03:57):
and playing like I don't know, it's a really hot take,
I think, but yeah, it does suck. And just to
see it, well, to see the spirits that he was
in now versus when the game was going on, makes
me feel a lot better about it because he's like
this was playing. He finally got his rink. He's happy.
At least he has a smile on his facing. He
has a rink, and he's accomplished a dream that he

(04:18):
probably has want to accomplish life probably, yeah, probably whole life, honestly.
And it just sucks because, yeah, again, since hit the league,
he's probably not my favorite receiver but up there and
I've always wanted to him succeed, even when he's playing
the Ravens. And it just sucks because, yeah, finally gets
that opportunity to win the Super Bowl, and at the

(04:38):
game that he was having in it, it's that way.
It was terrible and like when he came back out
with the hoodie on, like you see tears in his eyes.
I was like, damn, like I'm feeling for him right now,
Like that would make me almost want to cry, Like
seeing him like that, just after everything he's been through
already towards the CEL last year, like that rehab was
probably some of the toughest rehab the work give back
to this point, He's helped his team so much gets

(05:00):
at this point and then he's doing great and obviously
not doing it on the way he wanted to. But
ultimately I think it did. I made it that he
would have lost that game would have made it that
much worse. But winning the game, winning the championship, that's
that's awesome makes it all worth it. And I had
an impact before you got hurt, because I feel like, yeah,
even more like if you didn't even had like an
impact in that game before it happened. But I'm glad

(05:21):
you gotta at least he think you scored, like probably
would have got m VP. He was in the game
still like Cooper Cup, but added the clutch up like that.
But yeah, also shout out to Benny sco when win
a super Bowl, that's dope. You guys just get to
ring first year in the league and people were flaming
him for dropping the past whatever, which in my opinion,

(05:42):
I don't think that's completely his fault. But like I
was talking to somebody who a friend of a friend
was on the Bengals, and they said their whole special
teams game plan was like around bit because he's such
a good special teams player and like he's gonna be
in the league for a long time, not only as
receiver but like good st player, so they're doubling him.
Was like, gown. It was interesting. I know. That'stil I

(06:02):
watched the game. Did y'all see like all the money
Drake was putting on Odell to like score the first touchdown,
score any touchdown rams and winning games? That's crazy. I
need it, Like uh O cashed out Drake out somebody.
I don't know what, but I've seen that eight hundred k.

(06:23):
He educated a lot of money in totally. He put
down like one point four million to make like two. Yes,
let's be nine, let's be nice. When speaking of Odell
was well, you had two hundred diamonds industry for eighteen
thousand dollars. I believe diamonds in his Nike swosh that

(06:45):
it was two hundred thousands. I thought the shoe in
total was two hundred thousand, and then the diamonds. What's
worth something crazy? That's crazy to I was just going
to thousand. I was one hundred thousand ills to bad
itself foot that's crazy though. He'd be probably looking at
his feet like, honestly, we gotta touch on it. Vernon

(07:10):
Hargraves runs off, runs off the sideline in flip flops
and is celebrating with the team. I'm looking at him like, okay,
I guess the new rule came in that you can't
flag somebody for excessive celebration. Next next frame is him
on the beach like the coaches put him in time

(07:32):
out like a little bag. That costs them points too,
because they could have scored when they got the ball
to touch back, they would have been on the and
instead they were like on the tents and they could
have got three out of that. So that was hilarious.
And he was out there and slides dumped in too,

(07:54):
like we all jumped in with a towel in his hand.
Be more discreet, you guy. Think that miss bield goal
affected the game as much as it should have. The
extra point, Yeah, it was definitely made the end a
lot more interesting because we needed to feel little to
tie up. The coaches probably started to call plays differently
because they went to school Master. So I was thinking

(08:14):
if they would have hit that point after tim then
the game would have probably potentially went in a different direction. Definitely,
Bengals definitely would have called different plays that last draw.
I have to get them down to close the end
zone quicker instead of just like I've seen. It was
a more methodical approach because they're like very least was
getting a fiel a little range, right, Let's not take
a huge risk. Also, the end of that play, like

(08:35):
what was going on? I don't know what. I always
want to do that the game just let you always
a score. At one point, I think it was like
two two minutes left, I was like, I should just
let him score like Joe Burrow two minutes left, at

(08:58):
least a field goal, Like I would take that. I
would take that. I was thinking when I was watching
the game and Cooper Cup scored on that fade back
shoulder on Eli Apple. Immediately before the play started, I
thought of the Seahawks interception on the gold line, and
if I'm a dB, I'm like, they're not running a slant.
They're not running a slant. They can't run, And so

(09:19):
he like inside stem and then ran the fade. And
I'm like, I would have just stayed outside. But that
can transition us to Eli Apple, who has been like
the talk of the town around football right now. Everybody's
been on his head on Twitter. That's gotta that's gotta
suck for him. But I didn't know such a troll.
I didn't know such a strong on social media everybody. Yeah,

(09:40):
it was such a weird fade too, because it wasn't
even to the corners to like the mid that's the
worst end. That is the worst because you're gonna expect
it to be a long ball. It's just really short. Yeah,
that's name near on guardable. If you got a good
quarterback that puts it right there. Only DBS was see that.
That's kid, that's good mouth. Yeah, think about this, You're like, bro,

(10:02):
he runs a slam bright then of course ran slat
on that play, took off the inside. It was open
a very briefly, imagine Benny score to win a Super Bowl.
Holy Holy Order named Football would have posted that next

(10:22):
year statue next to New Garden. Cooper Cup, in my opinion,
was the best receiver this year. I'm sure everybody else
would say that I had one of the best seasons ever,

(10:42):
but I'm like, if I'm playing against them, I'm getting
frustrated because this dude shows zero motion bro emotion at all.
Halfway out, he always right back, gives the ball and
runs back. I like, jeeze emotion says something to me.
But when he got the touchdown, he just got up

(11:03):
and through the ball the ref and like, all right, well,
I guess we want this to bowl. The story is
pretty great though, about how like his girl they've been
dating there in college and like she was working two
three jobs just to like help him pay for school
and help him get through college and just to see
that down. And then I seem like a video like
when they won a championship, she like runs out and

(11:25):
feel it's pretty It's pretty dope. You guys should watch it.
Do you remember like three weeks ago when that story
came out and guys were posting on their stories on
their Instagram the stuff. I was like, y'all just trying

talk about the halftime show now a y'all think of
the halftime show? That was my favorite funny I was
locked in, I wanted more. I want to encore. That
was probably my favorite one in recent years. Like I

(13:31):
don't remember, I don't even remember my favorite one before
that was what was it for? You guys? None of
them like stuck out. I was like, oh, it was cool,
but like nothing like I like actually enjoyed the whole thing,
you know, that one. I enjoyed, like the whole thing.
I think that was the first time I've actually sat
down and watched the half time show. I want to
say that I watch that. I don't want to say
that I watched. I watched Beyonce. Is it the only

(13:52):
time I sat down? I watched the whole thing. Who
think you have the best performance? I like Snoop? I
thought Snoop was just like so like asual kicking up
that and like it sounds like he was actually singing,
like it wasn't lipsnick like he was like some reason
I like Dr Dre. I don't know what's he actually

(14:12):
like messing with the turntable stuff, look like he was
like very just seeing him. Oh no, it was pretty cool.
First of all, fifty came out in a custom white
like he's about to fifty to sixty is what is
about to happen? What songs? What is about it? Before?

(14:35):
Right now? I think my favorite part is Kendrick. Kendrick
has always kind of been like in our musical taste
for our generation. I remember like like listening to Swimming
Pools and I was like ten, you know what I'm saying,
And it's just like you don't really see Kendrick for
a lot of like a long period of time, like
he just kind of stays himself. But to see him
come out and do that and like kind of show

(14:56):
you still got it, and like, of course his music
is always going to bang forever. I love Mary J.
Blae killed it. I thought she did a good did
a really good job, and I was like Twitter about
to kill this. I thought it was cool. Help Eminem
took a knee. I thought it was kind of random.
But at the same time, I was like, Okay, I mean,

(15:17):
I guess that's that's cool support. Apparently I didn't see that.
So after after he stopped singing, he took a knee
and I put his head on like this, and I
was at the time, I didn't think much register And
the NFL came out and said, like people, what said
Curry If I'm wrong, Kyle, that like the NFL told
him not to kneel. The NFL has come out and

(15:40):
said that that's not true. What they knew you gotta
the whole time. Yeah, he was just nearly on top
of the stage like with his head in his hand,
and I was like all right. And then after game
they're like props to Eminem taking into like showing strength
and stuff like that. I was like, oh, I didn't
register with me, that's what he was doing. But I
guess that's dope too. It's kind of cool to see
a LA culture like with the rip walking h like

(16:02):
and Dana outfit, which is pretty od fit all the
there were definitely so many people out there watching and
they were like, but it's on my TV right now.
I was thinking the same time, there's so many people
that are that's hate this because I don't like the
Shakira and Umlo one. I was like, I'm never watching

(16:27):
football again, like, all right, it wasn't a commercial last night, well,
which I thought about the commercials. The guy Favory one
was my favorite already know calls favorite commercial? Which one
show me? I don't even got to say. Lebron was
talking to Lebron was talking to Lebron. That was cool though.
That was that was was That was cool. I think
the NFL commercial is kind of dope, but all like

(16:48):
all the players. Yeah, that was my favorite action in
kids House. Yeah, I like that grab come out football
like that. I loved. I love coin base. They just
crashed immediately after the Yeah wait what bays crashed? Coin
Bays spent get about of money on this ad, right,
you know, the barcode one and everyone was doing it.

(17:10):
And just like crashed. Is that everyone's like props for
coin bayshop, thanks six emillion dollars and put the ad
on it. Then there's sixty million dollars in repairs. So
in conclusion, good or bad super Bowl? In your opinion,
really good super Bowl? Really really not ten? Is that
not out of time? Yeah, I'll get it probably solid

(17:31):
eight points eight point eight eight point eight out of
time I agree with that. Attended to me is the
Falcons Patriots? Yeah? Again, I performed the halftime show then
no clue. Yeah, like Cold Players that game in general? Yeah,
cold Play got hits. Now Coldplay do got hits. I'm
not gonna lie on. I don't have Cold playlists somewhere,

(17:51):
but what if they had like YouTube? Remember YouTube? They
probably were at some point not good performed, say where
they're snucking out everybody's ead. Yeah, that was weird. I
give it a nine. I guess you're bout nine. I'll
give it eight. Like watching your team when once cool,

(18:13):
So i'd put the Eagles one above that. But that
was a really it was a cool game. Yeah, I'd
say about eight point five. I also think nowadays social
media makes every single big sporting event like the funniest
thing in the world. Like, I'm on Twitter the whole
time watching. Yeah, it's so funny. People are hilarious on Twitter.
It's terrible people. It was just like dudes were like

(18:35):
photoshoping Eli Apple to McDonald's uniform. God. I was like,
you know, people, he didn't play back. That's happy, that's funny.
Move it on to the next big sporting event for football,

(18:55):
which would be the NFL Draft. It's in Vegas this year.
That would be interest staying. Viggs had a pretty bad
reputation recently, so hopefully that turns around. Late April. I
have a described to pick with Kyle. Stop stopping with Kyle,
stuck about going to the Paris that stood up in

(19:20):
the pig. So our teammates is going to the draft
and we're not even going. It was good. What you
mean yea, where where's the what's the invite? That's crazy? Yes,
First of all, I haven't been invited. I'm not going
to assume things. If I am invited, I don't only
get eight tickets. We're not I don't need to go

(19:41):
to the Draft. I want to go to Vegas to
see I'm not Vegas police y'all can go to Vegas
if you draft. I'm just going to say, y'all can't
be there, all right, alright, so so we can come. Yes,
I can come. I would love not. It just happened,
Bro needed that. That's a pity invite. But I thought

(20:05):
I thought that was already in agreement, like that was
already a thing that I agree. You agree, no invite,
you agree the Vegas police up here, I don't get
invited to the spring game. Invite me alright, I am

(20:27):
allowed to go. Am I allowed to go? Bro, I'm
about to police. And so it's the same thing. Y'all
can come to Vegas. No, it's not the same thing.
You have. This is your house. Your house is itself bid.
We don't have any anything. We don't have any connections
with Vegas. Bro, No connects your school to Vegas. Like here,

(20:47):
I thought that's how it was gonna work out. Drop
right in. It's just gonna hit me. Just come school
at the airport, like I'm gonna call you like five
minutes my name. But to get so yes, Yes, I
would love you at to coom nice shallow in fights. Okay,

(21:08):
back on the back on the topic of the draft
who came out this year that we've played against. You
think it's like the best player. I would personally say
that Dreke London was the best player that we played
this year from USC plays receiver. I'll probably say a
my gardner cornerback from Cincinnati. Yeah, I would say in
my gardeners to or already to say the D lineman
George karloftis from Perdue. Yeah, I was gonna say from

(21:33):
USC David Bell too. I don't think he had that
bigby game against US, but receiver from Perdue. Yeah, that
pretty good catch on me. We played with some good people.
We did. We don't always play against like the best teams,
but like these teams have really good players, Like Florida
State has the D and that probably gonna go first round.
I would say, Sam, how could be? Yeah, I think

(21:58):
he's gonna shake out like out of my opinion. Just
I think just really off build and just style. It's
just hard to say that because Bayfield is not done
super well. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, but definitely who I
think he plays like. I would say that's his FOD
and then his feeling. I would say it's like Russell Wilson. Yeah,
I can see that they're both like mobile and throw

(22:19):
about the same height. Who would be y'all's like, if
you could choose one player that's underrated right now in
terms of draft projections and stuff, who would y'all pick
that we played last season when they got going in
the game. I would say Oklahoma State's quarterback real nice
m when when they started game one, he was we
played them for some reason. Yeah, fever dream. I'm gonna

(22:40):
using an answer that you already used. I must say
David Bell. I think he's gonna be really good in
the NFL. Yeah, I think it's pretty special. Indiana, we're
Maryly not ship. I'm gonna go with Ted Martin, number
one from Oklahoma State. I haven't in his name on
any big track words, but I'm just off so like

(23:04):
movements in the game, I can tell that he'll be
a really good receiving in the NFL. I think Trades
Hurder from Virginia Tech receiver number eleven. Yeah, he's pretty good.
I think he's gonna be smoothed. Also, I don't know
his name, but the slot from Toledo's number eight Bro.

(23:25):
He was like, he's a sophomore. Ye need to be
power five soon he's just small but like no, he's
like that, like he did that. Yeah, alright, moving on
to the outside of the garage. This question comes from

(23:47):
at R W Underscore Harris ten the smallest land mammal
you wouldn't be able to kill with your bare hands.
I guess, like, where's the bar set of animals mammals
you can kill with your bare hands? How did you
get to this question? Havolina? I love it though. I
think it's a great havolina habalina. Bro, I'm walking away

(24:08):
take it. Yeah, I don't really know. It's like a
cross breed. It kind of looks like a rat. It
kind of it's like a cross breed between like a hog,
like raccoon, the squirrel, bobcat, everything in one. Bro, it's scary.
I don't know. They're traveling tacks. I wouldn't even touch
it with my hands. So, yeah, got it. You gotta

(24:28):
be telling that's like tiny. But to take you out,
you know, I would say, um, what I couldn't kill?
I probably say like a coyote. I think that's where
I draw the line, like a rabid coyote, because there
was like fifty pounds. It's like a dog. Really yeah,
the Cootes, fox, bobcats are all really really small. I
might say bobcat then, but they're but they they're different,

(24:52):
like you can fight off a dog, but they got
a different mentality, like not domesticated, you know. But actually,
I think if I'm fined for my life change that
it's not changed. No no, no, no, no no, no no no.
I would get in a chokehold and change the topic.
This is a this is a topic that we you're
not arguing for facts. We didn't argue about that. The animal,

(25:15):
what was the animal? I don't forget, bro, let's no stop, stop, stop,
stop what we're talking about this? What was the question?
The animal? I forget. It was like a wolverine. It
was a wolverine. Wolverine? Would you kill you? If you're
finding the death and like a small last room you're
in like a ten room that's pitch black. You verse

(25:41):
just just just send the movie that was but you're
fine to the death. But we can't see in the door.
That's what I'm saying. I don't think we went it
chance around. This wolverine's neck is gonna die. I'm telling you,
I'm Woline. Now there's no where d ms and let
us know if you think that a grown person could

(26:02):
kill a wolverine bare hands. Not I'm just dark for me,
I don't know because not that you just said Bob
cats are real smile and just throw my whole perception
animals and my whole perception off. Like see, I don't
know how me punching an animal would go. You feel
like like with the Bob cat, like it's just gonna

(26:22):
can attack me, like I'm grabbing and trying to like
choke it, but then it's gonna be swinging while so
I'm gonna I'm kidding, but it's just like welaws are
gonna go chine. That's what I'm saying, Like you to
eat that, You're just gonna eat that immediate might even
be a cat, bro because I'll vote so so fast
off a cat to death, not to the death, not
