Speaker 1 (00:00):
Second date.
Speaker 2 (00:01):
Update on intern John in your Morning show. You out
with somebody, you think there's a vibe, then they stopped
talking to you.
Speaker 1 (00:07):
We try to get to the bottom of it, jakeob morning.
Speaker 3 (00:12):
Hey, Hey you guys and man.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
So walk us through this. You and Grace matched where
on what app.
Speaker 3 (00:19):
Yeah, so we met on Bumble and started chatting on
there and then we ended up going out.
Speaker 4 (00:26):
We actually had two dates.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
Nice.
Speaker 3 (00:28):
The first date we went to dinner that went great,
you know, I paid, It was a good conversation, and
then we kind of just left.
Speaker 1 (00:37):
The dinner and I went home.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
She got back in an uber and she went home,
you know, and that was totally fine. But we had
set up a second date that night. And the second
date we went Minnie golfing and it was more of
a loose, kind of a casual vibe, and again it
went great, conversation was was was fun and it's kind
of had a lot of fun.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
For a second real quick. So you you mentioned that
dinner she uber there. Did you offer to pick her
up and she chose that or did you never made
the offers? I think that's an important part of this.
Speaker 5 (01:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:10):
No, I did offer that, but she said you feel
more comfortable taking.
Speaker 1 (01:13):
Her that you did the right thing.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
Then okay, okay, sure, So we had dinner, great minigolf,
great who won?
Speaker 3 (01:22):
Yeah I won, no big deal, but.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
I can't imagine that was it?
Speaker 2 (01:28):
But no, So, and that was about a week and
a half ago, right, yes, okay. And the one thing
I wanted to bring up we're just talking about this
off the air, is that you mentioned, Jakeie you're you're
very confused, and you even asked your sister for dating advice,
which you never do, and she's on your side totally.
Speaker 6 (01:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:45):
My sister has a lot of self awareness and I
kind of lean on her for like real, like adult,
you know, situations, And so I talked to her and
she gave her opinion and she's like, yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:56):
That's I'm on your side on this. I don't understand
what happened. So and this I'm calling you, guys, I
really did just dumbf on is.
Speaker 7 (02:02):
I have no idea.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
So we did many golf week and a half ago,
you guys left it at I'll see you this coming week,
which will have been last week.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
And since then, no calls.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
You've tried texting, calling, facetiming, dming just completely gone cold.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
Yeah, cold exactly.
Speaker 2 (02:20):
The last question I like to ask to kind of
like paint the picture. How long have you been single for?
Speaker 1 (02:25):
Jake?
Speaker 3 (02:27):
I've been single for seven months, okay?
Speaker 1 (02:30):
And how long has Grace been single for?
Speaker 5 (02:33):
I believe she just got singles, so I think a month?
Speaker 1 (02:37):
And see a question do we know if?
Speaker 2 (02:40):
Because I mean dating is a little bit odd nowadays
because you can be talking to more than one person.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
Do we know what she talking to other people?
Speaker 3 (02:46):
And maybe like, yeah, you know she she set out
with sort of her first official days ter her last relationship,
so I don't think so.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
All right, so let's do this.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
We'll call Grace, We'll try and get her on get
her side, Uh one seconds.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
I'd be curious, especially if your sister's on your side.
Speaker 8 (03:06):
Yeah, Hello, Hi, calling for Grace please all right?
Speaker 2 (03:16):
This is great, Hey girl, it's intern John. I got
Sauce and Rose here as well. Can we talk to
you on the show real quick? Just need like two
minutes of your time? Nothing bad?
Speaker 8 (03:27):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (03:27):
Sure, okay, beautiful, we're doing a second date update. I
have somebody on the other line here, Jake, if you
want to say hello, Hey, nailed it. And so Grace.
Jake reached out to us. He told us yellow mashed
on Bumble. A few weeks back, we had a dinner date,
we had a mini golf date, but that for the
last week and a half or so, he cannot get
a hold of you, and so we're just trying to
(03:48):
see where your heads at, if you want to pursue this,
if something happened, or I guess what's going on in
your mind.
Speaker 9 (03:55):
Okay, this is kind of ridiculous, but I guess I'll
just be totally transparent. We I had a lovely date
with Jake. We had a great time. Frankly, I just
I think he has his priorities kind of mixed up.
And that's why I didn't see any first with.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
What because two dates?
Speaker 9 (04:19):
Okay, Well, on the date, he mentioned that he took
off work for Opening Day last week. Okay, Okay, I just, frankly,
I thought that was incredibly childish. He said, he's a
huge O's fan, and he took off work for Opening Day,
and we live in d C, so he clearly had
to drive there and that's like a long commute.
Speaker 1 (04:38):
He goes to games all the time.
Speaker 9 (04:41):
I just feel like it's not a sign of a
mature adult.
Speaker 2 (04:44):
But like we may offer this though, if he took
off work, that's better than just not showing up for work.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
Yeah, right, responsible, I mean, I guess.
Speaker 9 (04:54):
It's slightly better, but it still feels like you're missing
work for a baseball game.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
Okay, I guess my fault question would be, then again,
if he took the work off, does it matter where
he lives in regards to the stadium, because it's like, okay, sure.
Speaker 9 (05:11):
But he had to drive over an hour to get
there instead of going to work and being a productive
member of society.
Speaker 10 (05:17):
Of course that matters, Okay, I mean just Opening Day
in Baltimore is the biggest day of the year. It's
it's lily, your biggest holiday. I'd say, as long as
your work and everybody takes off of Okay, I used
to take off.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
I'm gonna do this. I'm gonna put you guys in hold.
Are you a team Jake or Team Grace? Eight seven seven,
nine nine five four six State one to call nine
ninety three three eight to tax. It's second date update
an intern Johnny Morning Show. Second date updates on Intern
Johny Morning Show.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
We just talked to Jake and Grace.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
They first mashed on bumble about two months ago, being
gone on dates all that good stuff. She shopped talking
to him, not too sure why, according to Hurst, because
he took off for opening day. He lives in DC
work to get to Camden Yards. That was enough for
her to think he's not mature enough for relationship. Your
thoughts eight seven, seven, nine ninety five four six eight
(06:07):
one to call nine ninety three three eight at tech
so I get you and hold saucyr thoughts.
Speaker 10 (06:12):
Uh, someone who has taken off work for opening day
a ton in my life. I think that's wild that
she's going to be that judgmental about him. Also, we're
always in a rush to grow up and get older.
Why when he's an adult and actually has a job
and uses his time off like his PTO to go
do something fun and be a kid. Not that he's
(06:32):
being a kid, but you know he's drinking half fun whenever,
celebrating Opening Day with all of Baltimore. Why would you
not want to like embody that or like embrace that.
I guess I should say embrace that, like you should
be like glad that he like does stuff that's fun
At least he's not sitting home playing video games, which
is like, sure, that's fun too, but he has like
a a he loves baseball, that's okay.
Speaker 1 (06:50):
I think it's Martin though.
Speaker 10 (06:51):
And it's also when you love a spory become part
of that fan base. And I think that Baltimore has
a very fun fan base and I know them by
saying that, so I think that she just sounds very judgmental.
And also if she doesn't like sports, she could just
say that, like it's the only sport. It's not immature,
like he's by taking off It's not like you didn't
just not show up to work. Yeah, he literally took
off work to go do something fun, which he deserves.
(07:13):
If you take off work, you can still go do
something fun if you're you know, using your paid time off.
Speaker 2 (07:18):
I would offer on as behalf of dudes. For a
lot of dudes, sports is how you bonded with your dad, yeah,
and your grandpa. So I sometimes to see videos like
people shaming dudes for crying when their sports team wins,
and it's probably not the fact that team won, it's
more still like the memories of like all my memories
watching the games with your dad, watching Dames with your grandpa,
(07:40):
going to the games with your dad, like that kind
of thing, and then to see like your team win
then like those people aren't there anymore.
Speaker 1 (07:46):
It's a pretty powerful thing.
Speaker 2 (07:47):
So for me, like like my I said in the here,
my dad would bring us out of school to go
to like a baseball game of year. I'm sure going
to do that one day isn't responsible. I don't really
quite care if it's responsible. It's like good for the soul,
if that makes sense. You know, I'm let me.
Speaker 10 (08:00):
Have sick days for a reason. I'm just gonna throw
that out there. Go do something that you love and
have fun and that brings you joy. And that's what
he's doing, and he communicated that to her. That's why
I'm like, I don't understand why you're acting so judging.
Speaker 1 (08:12):
Especially if work gave you the day off.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
Yeah, you know, let me go out and pass Dina Nina,
good morning, good morning.
Speaker 1 (08:19):
What do you want to say of this girl?
Speaker 9 (08:21):
I am absolutely on the same page as the last person.
I just I just can't wrap my head around why
you would get angry. Then he went to watch a
baseball game.
Speaker 7 (08:33):
Yeah, yeah, and it was opening day like it's a holliday.
Speaker 9 (08:38):
Yeah, yeah, and I live in the Baltimore area and
it is a huge deal.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
Oh yeah, it's the basket. We're there this year. It's fantastic. Yeah,
thank you for listening. I have a great day, you two.
Speaker 10 (08:48):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (08:49):
I just go in Arlington, Shannon, good morning.
Speaker 9 (08:53):
Hey are you doing well?
Speaker 1 (08:54):
Thank you? What do you want to say with this?
Speaker 4 (08:57):
You know the shirtsmans do is two people outside. Yes,
the people they're talking.
Speaker 7 (09:02):
About literally literally.
Speaker 1 (09:07):
So your.
Speaker 4 (09:11):
She doesn't have friends, she has a ridiculous amount of ppo,
She is never used, and nobody likes her.
Speaker 10 (09:19):
She does sound like a bit robotic, Like it's like girls,
so you just go to work and go ho, like
what do you what do you do for fun?
Speaker 1 (09:24):
Yeah, that's fair, But thank you for listening. Have a
great day.
Speaker 9 (09:28):
Sorry, bye bye.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
In fact, we were talking about this, I think today,
you and I before the show about if you don't
have like responsibilities financially. Yeah, I mean like as long
as nobody relies on him. And it's like, yeah, he's
not gonna foo the table tonight because he's not working.
Speaker 1 (09:41):
That doesn't but he.
Speaker 10 (09:42):
Literally like requested it off. He was approved. He didn't
go to work. He went to Baltimore and had fun
with opening Day, which we all did. Day fantastic. Let
me go in Dumfree's Chelsea, good morning, Good morning. What
do you want to say with a second day update?
Speaker 1 (09:57):
Chelsea?
Speaker 6 (09:58):
Okay, Normally when I listen to these, I feel like
I see both sides, but I am totally team Jake.
I feel like maybe she's not over her ex or something,
so she was looking for an excuse maybe, but for
him to have passions like that's supposed to be a
turn on.
Speaker 9 (10:13):
I don't know why that's a big deal for her.
Speaker 1 (10:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:15):
I mean there's a lot worse places he could have
been on a Monday in April than that.
Speaker 7 (10:19):
Cameron Yards right right, literally.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
No, I don't disagree, Chelsea. Thank you for listening. I
have a great day you too. By Let's go Eam
Bristow Ruby, good morning.
Speaker 11 (10:30):
Hi, good morning. I love your show, guys. I am
team You're welcome. I am team Jake. She's really boring
the fact that he's doing like fun activities, taking time
off and getting paid for it. Yeah, he's my kind
of guy. So I don't know what she's talking about,
and I agree with all the callers, So thank you
for having me on your show.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
That's a good point because it's change like if it's
a vacation that he is getting.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
Paid for it.
Speaker 7 (10:51):
Literally, it sounds like he uses PTO to go do that.
Speaker 11 (10:55):
Like yeah, exactly, he's taking time off, he's being responsible,
he's getting paid for being fine. I mean, yeah, that's
what jobs are supposed to do. So enjoy it, like, hello,
have a life.
Speaker 1 (11:04):
Hell, thank you for listening. Have a great day.
Speaker 6 (11:07):
Thanks for having me.
Speaker 1 (11:08):
Bye real quick?
Speaker 2 (11:09):
Do you think if I think cruisely misworkd for well,
I guess there's no games during the show, so I
couldn't like miss work for a game.
Speaker 10 (11:16):
But if we were to like take off the Monday
after super Bowl, that would be cool.
Speaker 7 (11:20):
You suggesting that for I meant like in general, it
could be. It could be cool.
Speaker 1 (11:27):
Could it be you think it could be?
Speaker 10 (11:28):
They could be a vibe I like last year in
this year because usually I don't do anything for the
super Bowl, but for some reason, last few years, I'm like,
I'm not going to do anything, and that I do
and last years I'm like, I don't know how I
made it to work.
Speaker 7 (11:39):
I mean I do know, I do know.
Speaker 1 (11:40):
Didn't you see Obi? Didn't you go to hide?
Speaker 6 (11:42):
Again?
Speaker 7 (11:43):
I was, I was at Hide, so it.
Speaker 1 (11:44):
Kind of worked out for you what I said. Hi,
I mean it's still pretty cool.
Speaker 10 (11:49):
Yeah, but I mean, like, yeah, I didn't Is that
the That wasn't actually the highlight?
Speaker 1 (11:52):
Sorry?
Speaker 7 (11:52):
I mean it was great to see him, but I
won't say it was a highlighted by night.
Speaker 6 (11:55):
Wow.
Speaker 10 (11:56):
What was a highlight Probably the fact that I was
like sitting there like no, I'm just to go home,
and I was at Salt Line.
Speaker 7 (12:01):
Then all of a sudden, IM at Hide.
Speaker 1 (12:02):
Yeah it happens.
Speaker 7 (12:03):
I was peer pressured.
Speaker 2 (12:04):
Yeah, fair, it happens too. If you want to do
a secondy update, dms are up an at Wymous Radio.
Speaker 9 (12:08):
Let's do intern John in your morning show.
Speaker 1 (12:10):
That's true and iHeartRadio
