time it's the Video Software Dealers Association trade Show. She's
at a water park on Vicodin with Nikki Tyler and
Jill Kelly for a bikini party called Wet and Wild.
The party at the water park is the Vegas equivalent
of a can yacht party, a place for adult biz

folks to mingle with fans and potential film investors. After
her Jordan's Crazy Girl era in Miami, Jenna has sworn
off falling in love, but then from across the water park,
she's bewitched by a six foot one hunk she recognizes

(01:52):
as Jay Gardina, a libra. Jay Gardina is a porn
screenwriter and director who works on under the name Justin Sterling.
His parents immigrated from Carlovak Croatia to Wooster, Ohio, where
he was born into a cattle ranching dynasty. He attends
Catholic prep school Gilmour Academy in Ohio and then matriculates

at the University of San Diego, where he double majors
in psychology and business. After college, he moves to Los
Angeles to try to get work as a male model.
Jay Gardina then meets porn director Michael Nin and starts
producing Nin's adult films. Michael Nin is a music video

director for Capitol Records who moves into porn, directing glossy,
high end music videoe adult films with fetishware elements. He
directs movies like Latex, which comes with a CD ROM
game where you can point and click to see various
sex scenes. Jay Gardina also starts directing titles like nineteen

the nineteen ninety seven sequel Ksex one oh six point
nine two under the stage name Michael Santangelo for a
studio called Ultimate Video.

I actually thought about being a priest when I was
a kid, but when I was thirteen or fourteen, something
went wrong. I came into the industry in nineteen eighty
two as an investor because a friend was shooting a
porn movie. I wanted to learn about filmmaking, so I
started working for him on the crew as a video tech.

In nineteen ninety eight, Jake Ardina leaves La and takes
a break from working in film, citing burnout from porn's
one hundred hour work weeks. He moves to Arizona, where
his wealthy Croatian family now resides. He's dating Chasey Lane,

In their handful of interactions. Jenna has found Jay to
be cocky and entitled, like rich boys are. She's also
heard he's into very rough sex. She's wary, but when
she sees Jay at the water park hanging with Tet
Boy and some other vivid performers, he catches her eye again.

Jill Kelly is there with Jenna, and on Jenna's request,
she tells Jay that Jenna thinks he's cute.

When I spotted him at the Wet and Wild party,
it was like seeing him for the first time.

We didn't hit it up very well.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
Despite her reservations about pursuing romance again, Jenna slips back
down the rushing water slide of desire. Jenna and Jay
tell slightly differing stories about a botched attempt at a
late night hookup that left both of them feelings stood up,
followed by a morning reconciliation in the warm glow of

the slot machines on the casino floor of the Venetian Resort.

Talking to her was different than I expected. She was cool, intelligent, articulate,
and funny.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
I think that he was surprised by a lot of
the things I had to say. I remember thinking, what
am I doing? I'm gonna fall in love with this guy?

Speaker 3 (05:44):
And I was like, Okay, we'll see what happens. So
we started talking.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
They eventually take the conversation upstairs. Jenna does not like
to be bossed around in bed or anywhere else for
that matter, but she makes an exception for Jay Gardina
because he seems like he's really listening to her and
paying close attention to what actually gets her off. Then

Jay goes back home to Phoenix and ghosts Jenna, who
is super fucking annoyed. To get her stagnating career back
out of the mud. Jenna is doing feature dances again
at a Vegas strip club called Crazy Girls. Her roommate
and alleged BFF, Nicki Tyler, has fallen off the grid.

(06:32):
Jenna has become very self conscious about some weight that
she gained in Miami. She begins starving herself, eating nothing
but energy bars, lettuce, and increasingly vicodins.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
Nicky and I call them three fifty seven magnums because
they had a three fifty seven printed on them and
felt like a gunshot to the stomach.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
Jenna's tolerance for Vicodin keeps right the more often she
takes them and she's popping the pills like candy. Tommy
Lee from Motley Crue is a customer at Crazy Girls
one night and invites Jenna to come see him play.
By the late nineties, hair metal like Motley's is dead,

buried deep, and trod over by the Doc Martins of
millions of grunge and alternative rock bands.

Speaker 4 (07:26):
On a hopeless fucking romantic That's a part of me
that a lot of people don't know about. They know
everything there is to know about another part of me,
but not a thing about my heart. Tommy Lee Musician.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
Tommy Lee is coming off his marriage to Pamela Anderson,
which ended in divorce after accusations of Tommy's domestic violence.
He is still touring with Motley Crue, who are out
of the zeitgeist but becoming a nostalgia act for their
aging eighties fans. He's on the verge of quitting his
gig drumming for Motley Crue to start a rap rock

group called Methods of Mayhem. While Tommy Lee is one
of Jenna's longest running rockstar fantasy crushes from MTV. When
she gets the chance to hook up with him, she's
barely cognizant.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
After the show, I took three more pills on the
elevator up to the after party. My head began to
spin and I felt like I could walk through doors
and windows.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
Jenna is way too fucked up to enjoy her night
with Tommy Lee. In fact, she's not conscious for most
of it. She keeps blacking in and out, which is
obviously horrifying. She also has a newish piercing on her clit,
and it's still so sensitive that it's painful to have
sex with famously well endowed stick man Tommy Lee. But

what really freaks Jenna out isn't the pain in her
or that she barely remembers last night. It's waking up
in the hotel with Tommy Lee's spooning her. She's still

She goes back on the Howard Stern Show and totally
denies having had sex with Tommy.

have a romantic relationship, and she denies it. Jenna tells
them Tommy Lee merely came by her show at Crazy Girls,
came backstage to meet her, flirted, and left. She says
he did not get to touch her body at all.

Nothing Wow, fascinating, You're so good looking.

Speaker 1 (10:59):
He's such a great guy. He's really a great guy.

Speaker 8 (11:04):

He's uh, did he talk to you about Pam? What

those steps or something? Or puncher or something.

He doesn't really bring her up.

Speaker 2 (11:20):
Jenna laughs off some really awful riffing about whether she
can take a punch, and then Howard asks her seriously
if she's lying about this whole Tommy Lee thing. She
swears she's telling the truth, but her voice does get
a little high and strange when she says it.

Speaker 5 (11:40):
Are you lying to me? Let me square in the eye.

Speaker 1 (11:42):
I'm not lying, Howard.

Speaker 5 (11:45):
You're not. You wouldn't lie to me right after what
we've been through together and what we've meant to each other.
Would you lie to me?

Speaker 1 (11:50):
Of course I wouldn't lie to you.

Speaker 5 (11:52):
Well, then, okay, there you have it, because I don't
want you fucking him.

Speaker 2 (11:57):
Jenna's refusal to claim Tommy Lee in public means he
cannot embarrass her on the record. Jenna knows rock stars
are not good boyfriend material because she knows they're obsessed
with conquests and collecting sexual trophies. Plus they're always being
propositioned by groupies. But Tommy Lee isn't like most male

rock stars. He loves to be in love, so he
persists inviting Jena to parties just in case she changes
her mind. Then she does.

Speaker 1 (12:31):
Sober I found him to be incredibly cool and sexy,
happy go lucky maniac who also happened to be irritatingly affectionate.

While she's supposed to be getting her career going again.
Jenna decides to toss that plan aside and get on
the tour bus with Tommy Lee and Motley, crue fulfilling
her teenage fantasy of being a concubine for hair metal gods,
even if they're well past their glory days by now.

Only a few years before, I was sitting on my
brother's shoulder at the Girl's Girls Girls concert in Vegas,
hoping to be noticed and taken backstage.

On the tour bus, she talks to Motley's bassist, Nikki
six six is married to playboy playmate turned Baywatch star
Donna de Rico, who years later fulfilled a lifelong dream
of climbing Turkey's Mount Ara Rat to search for the
frozen remains of Noah's Arc. She did not find it. Meanwhile,

back in California, one of Jenna's business ventures has gone
off track. Scamps, the strip club in Anaheim that her
father and uncle were running using her name and brand
to promote, shuts down. Suddenly, Scamps is either closed by
the city of Anaheim, where right wingers, conservative Christians, and
Disney adult freaks try to enforce a family friendly climate,

or possibly by Jenna's sketchball uncle taking the club's money
and running off. While Jenna didn't love having her dad
Larry working at Scamps because he got into doing hard
drugs there himself after a lifetime of being a clean
living cop, the end of Scamps leaves Jenna's whole remaining family,

her father, brother, and sister in law without any income.
Jenna has become the sole breadwinner for the entire Massoli
clan since she manically built herself a mansion in Miami.
When she thought she'd be Jay's crazy girl forever. She
offers to put them all up there. Then she gets

a call from Jay Gardina unghosting her a month later.
While she knows Jay Gardina disappearing after their first rendezvous
is not a great sign, Jenna's also had enough of
road dogging it with cuddly ass Tommy Lee. She is
admittedly curious if the intense chemistry she felt with Jay

the first time will also reappear. Will Jenna give Jay
another chance? After considering her options, she agrees to meet
up with him. It's not just Jenna bringing porn to
the mainstream. Other porn stars are making appearances in mainstream media.

There is a lot of crossover between porn and the
music business. A lot of the recording studios are even
located in the San Fernando Valley, in the same jungle
of industrial zones and strip malls as the porn industry,

Ripoff Lauderdale and Ernest borgnine mob movie Moving Target. She

Jay grew up rich and was provided with a stable
home life like Jenna never got to have. Jenna has
never had a traditional Thanksgiving family dinner in her life,
and it makes her feel weird being around other people

family Thanksgiving and go to the place Jay shares with
his brother in Phoenix, and then their romance really begins.

We went to his brother's bachelor pad, shut ourselves into

Then Jenna sees in the porn trade papers that Wicked
Pictures has signed three new Wicked contract girls without getting
permission from Jenna, as stipulated in her contract. Jenna curses
Steve Ornstein out to Joy King, who's still her publicist,
but even Jenna knows how hard she's become to work with.

She's turned into a difficult, unreliable diva who might show
up late to set or not at all, just like
her hero Savannah, who burned out hard and fast. Jenna
returns home to La where she still shares a place
with Nikki Tyler, whose toxic druggy boyfriend is always around.

Jenna is furious about Wicked hiring the new contract girls.

Speaker 1 (26:03):
I had believed that it was all about me, that
I was Wicked Pictures, but Steve was Wicked Pictures and
always had been.

Speaker 10 (26:14):
There are plenty of beautiful women who are ready, willing
and able to shoot sex. I'm not signing someone to
have sex, though that is the job. I'm signing a
company representative. Wherever this person goes, they're representing Wicked Steve

to work harder than ever now to get back on top.

big comeback. Jenna recognizes she's no longer top priority at
Wicked Pictures. She now sees only the downsides of working
with a big name studio. She feels like Steve Ornstein
profited off her work to an unfair extent.

I will not stand by and watch this motherfucker get
rich off me.

Speaker 2 (27:26):
She's no longer the biggest fish at Wicked Pictures, and
that means it's time to move on. She's particularly mad
that Steve Ornstein hired someone she dislikes to run her
website because she knows that the future of porn is
moving online. Adult content on the Internet is allegedly starting
to generate as much as a billion dollars per year,

and as an established name star, Jenna wants to cash in.
She decides to cut out the studios and start her
own company.

It was clear to us by this that the Internet
was not just about promotion, but potentially a massive source
of profit When it comes to early adapters. The porn
industry always gets to new technology first.

but says she still owes the company some movies. It's

man who made her a star. She fulfills her contract
obligation to Wicked by agreeing to do two more films

for them. Dream Quest, a high fantasy movie with special
effects directed by her ex husband Brad Armstrong, which will
have the biggest budget of any Wicked picture yet. The
other is a dialogue free lesbian fetish movie called Hell
