Speaker 1 (01:57):
You would not believe this would happen in any other era,
but the George Gascon era. He's gotta go. He is
secretly trying I'm voting now in the March Prime. Oh
my god, He's secretly trying to release Jesse Gonzalez. May
twenty ninth, nineteen seventy nine, Jesse Gonzales murdered an La
County Deputy sheriff named Jack Williams. And it's been now
(02:22):
forty four years and George Gascon is trying to get
him released. Gonzales was a drug dealer, the leader of
the Puente Street gang executed Deputy Williams. He was a
Mexican Mafia shot caller. He was at Gonzales's house to
(02:43):
serve a search warrant, saw the cops coming and Gonzales
shot Williams in the chest with a shotgun and Gonzales
in turn shot by the deputies, and as he was
being taken away by a gurney, he raised his left
fist and started yelling epithets at the police.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
He is still a Mexican mafia's shot caller, and that
is in case you don't know. They order hits, murders,
and direct gang activities from inside the prison. Now back
in twenty twenty one, Gascone decided that he wanted to
negotiate a lesser sentence life without the possibility of parole,
so he talked to the family of Deputy Williams and
(03:24):
tried to talk to them into agreeing to re sentence
and defendant to fifteen years to life, making him eligible
for parole.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
The family did not agree. Let's bring on Kathleen Katie
now one of.
Speaker 2 (03:35):
Several former prosecutors who are providing pro bono assistance to
crime victims in response to George Gascone's policies. We've talked
to were numerous times before over these horrible three years
of George Gascone. Welcome back to the show.
Speaker 3 (03:49):
Thank you so much. I really appreciate you having me
on and highlighting this incredible injustice and also continued lack
of transparency on behalf of George Gascon and those he's
chosen to run the office. So thank you for this opportunity.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
Why do you characterize this as secret.
Speaker 3 (04:08):
Well, it's because of the way that he's gone about this.
So the District Attorney's office, of course, their mission is
always to seek justice, and in certain cases, for instance,
if someone is exonerated, that would be justice would be
to have the case dismissed against that person. But in
other situations like this one, there is no question but
(04:30):
that this defendant is the one who shot and killed
Deputy Williams. So the other issues that have been going
on have to deal with whether or not essentially there's
enough evidence to show that, and the DA's office, for
reasons that are completely unknown, has decided that they want
to essentially apparently let him out of prison. Now why
(04:51):
they would want to let a Mexican mafia shot collar
out of prison is beyond my comprehension. But the way
that they've chosen to go about this is first of
all by meeting with the family and essentially trying to
talk them into agreeing to a lesser sentence, which would
have resulted in Gonzales being released. The family, of course
was not willing to do that, but I'm quite sure
(05:12):
that had the family been willing to, the DA's office
would have jumped at that chance, and then of course
hid behind the family and taken cover behind the family,
saying well, what was the family who wanted that?
Speaker 1 (05:21):
So you can do it anyway, right, I mean, the
family's opinion has nothing to do with a legal decision
like this.
Speaker 3 (05:28):
Well, the family's opinion it might have some bearing on
what the DA's office would do, but the DA's office
is bound to always do the right thing and to
seek Justice. Unfortunately, the people that he has chosen to
run the office at this time do not follow those
same guidelines, And in fact, in this particular case, what's
so horrific is that the prosecutor who is representing the
(05:53):
people has in fact filed papers with the judge that
are misleading, states that certain evidence doesn't actually exist, when
in fact it does exist. And we have a transcript
of the trial testimony where the investigating officer spoke to
the defendant right after the crime, and the defendant admitted
(06:14):
that he saw that he'd been outside watering, he saw
the police coming, he dropped the hose, ran inside.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
And that's of course, when are you saying that the
prosecutor working for guests going is lying to the judge
in writing well misleading? Is this one of these public
defenders he put in there?
Speaker 3 (06:32):
Is it?
Speaker 1 (06:32):
Sheilin Joseph? Is that the woman?
Speaker 3 (06:34):
Yes? It is?
Speaker 5 (06:35):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (06:35):
All right, So she's misleading a judge. I mean, isn't
that a crime? Isn't or at least a violation that
would get her kicked out?
Speaker 3 (06:46):
Well, if you had an ethical da who cared about
such things, yes she would think it would. But unfortunately
that's not who mister Gascon is he likes to hide
behind saying that he's an ethical prosecutor who is trying
to see justice. But when you look at individual facts,
when you look at his policies, when you look at
the way that he treats his staff, when you look
(07:07):
at the way that he handles cases, that's not this
is well.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
This is what's crazy. I mean, everybody's used to defense
attorneys coming up with crackpot theories right to get their
client off. But here you have a prosecutor and guess
Godin's office, you know, creating a mess. And if she's
supposed to represent the people, well, how do you fight that?
Who do we go to when the prosecutor and the
(07:32):
DA fails us.
Speaker 3 (07:34):
Well the other thing about Gascon's office is that the
only thing that he seems to ever respond to is
negative press and or you know, questions from the public.
And so if your listeners are as offended by this
as certainly Jack William's family is, I would encourage them
to call the DA's office and say, don't do this,
(07:57):
make sure you defend the conviction and keep this very
dangerous cop killer in prison. So that's one thing, because
you know, prosecutors should not be responding only to public outcry.
But unfortunately that's the way Gascon works. So since that's
the way he works, that's what we can do. And
then of course we can go to the ballot box,
(08:17):
as you said earlier, we can make sure that he
has voted out.
Speaker 1 (08:20):
So jess Gonzalez, nobody's trying to make the claim that
he's somehow reformed and found God and all that nonsense. No,
he supposedly still is a shot call What is he doing?
I mean, I mean he's doing this currently.
Speaker 3 (08:32):
Well, that's the information that we have. There was a
trial last year in Compton and his name came up
essentially with being a Mexican mafia shot caller. And so
you know, you can google Mexican mafia organization and there's
a chart that was created by law enforcement and Wright
smack dab in the middle of that chart is Jesse Denballas.
Speaker 1 (08:52):
How does he call the shots from inside prison? I
assume he's in a maximum security prison, correct, correct? All? Right,
then how does he do that?
Speaker 3 (09:01):
Well, that's how that gang works. And there was a
there was an article in the paper last year saying
that they do it by smuggling phones in. They do
it by, you know, essentially exerting pressure. And while you
would think that that's not the way an organization would operate,
that is the way.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
That and the way the gang members on the street
listen to him, even though he supposedly locked up until
he dies. He makes a call and they answer and
they say, sure, whatever you want, correct.
Speaker 3 (09:28):
Wow, And that's the danger and uh so.
Speaker 1 (09:31):
And guess Going doesn't care. Gas Going doesn't care about that.
Why would he pick this guy to release?
Speaker 3 (09:37):
I have no idea. You would have to ask him
that question.
Speaker 1 (09:41):
The of the worst, a cop killer and still a
shot caller for the Mexican mafia.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
Oh, this has to be publicized. This is unbelievable. And
this woman that we talked about this she was a
public defender that got moved over to the DA's office, right.
Speaker 3 (09:55):
Correct, she was, so since being since being in the office,
she has been going around county wide with all of
these very very very serious cases and she's taken them
all on and is handling them essentially herself, going around
the county and either changing the sentence, which is what's
been happening in the other cases that I've been representing
(10:18):
victims on but you know, in this particular case, given
what the defendant's claim is, the result is much more
severe because if she essentially wins, she combined with the
defense wins and what they're trying to do, Gonzalez's conviction
would be reversed and it's likely that he would be
(10:39):
released into our community, and so that of course would
be horrible for our community. But on behalf of jacqu
William's daughters who want to make sure that justice continues
to be served and that the man who executed their father,
knowing that he was a police officer at the you know,
and engaged in the performance of his duty, so sort
(10:59):
of the search warrant because Jesse Gonzalez was a drug dealer,
they want to make sure that he that this defendant
remains in custody and the justice sis or for their dad. So,
you know, this is just another glaring example of how
Gascon tries to hide things, how he is not forthcoming,
(11:21):
and you know, unfortunately it is negatively affecting all of
our community, but specifically Jack William's family in this particular case.
Speaker 2 (11:30):
All right, Kathleen, it's always a pleasure to talk to you.
Thanks for your hard work.
Speaker 1 (11:33):
If you can ever arrange for Jack Williams's daughters to
come on our show, we'd be glad to speak to
them because they want this guy to stay in prison.
Speaker 2 (11:40):
Yeah, just to range that with our producer Ray.
Speaker 1 (11:43):
Thanks for coming on.
Speaker 2 (11:43):
And keep us updated.
Speaker 3 (11:45):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 2 (11:46):
All right, that's Kathleen Katie, one of several former prosecutors.
We're providing pro bono assistance to crime victims because of
George Gascone's policies for these long, horrible three years in
La County. And this is about a cop killer and
a current Mexican mafia shot caller that Gascon has decided
should be released. His name is Jesse Gonzalez and at
(12:09):
the time he murdered La County Deputy Sheriff Jack Williams,
he had two daughters then eleven and twelve years old,
and this is nineteen seventy nine, so obviously they're grown
and they missed their dad and they do not want
this man released. More coming up, Johnny Ken kf I
AM six forty Live everywhere iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 5 (12:25):
You're listening to John and Ken on demand from KFI
AM six forty.
Speaker 2 (12:32):
Just another ring alert. Sorry, looks like something's going on
at a target near my house that people are concerned about.
Could it be a big shoplifting ring? I don't know,
smash and grab. There's helicopter's police everywhere around the target.
What's going on?
Speaker 1 (12:43):
Does anyone know?
Speaker 2 (12:44):
Does anyone know?
Speaker 1 (12:45):
I'm justper maybe it's a little high retirement. I'll just
ask questions like that in the neighborhood. Well, that's what
I see on the neighborhood app that I am son?
Is that no next stoor app? Next door appy? Is
that that helicopter shows up? Or there's some kind of
police commotion and there's like thirty people and it's all
the same people. Well, what's going on? Do you know anything?
(13:06):
And then it devolves into get a police scanner and
it devolves into some insane political argument. Everything always leads
back to the same Biden sucks. This is how cobody homeless.
There's some STIGs. This is why I had a negative
impression of retirement, because I looked at these people all
(13:26):
day and it's like, I don't think I want to
spend my day arguing on the next door app.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
All they do.
Speaker 1 (13:31):
We were just talking about the La County District Attorney
George Gascon and his latest move to free a cop
killer and currently a Mexican mafia shot caller. This is unreal.
Speaker 2 (13:44):
We have another story, probably not as heinous as this one,
but also kind of weird. They arrested a man on
suspicion of murder. Human remains were discovered in concrete near
a home in North Hills, but the La County DA's
office wouldn't file a criminal charge and they freed the guy.
They later arrested him.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
Russell Robinson was first booked by LAPD detectives following the
discovery of the remains of a thirty five year old
man from Guatemala that were.
Speaker 2 (14:13):
Concealed in the construction of an outbuilding in the backyard
of a home. This is near Roscoe Boulevard and Woodley Avenue,
so they must have gotten a tip because how else
would they know to look in the actual construction materials
of the outbuilding materials and construction. The records show that
apparently they had to release Robinson at two forty Tuesday.
(14:38):
The reason was court order for release, no criminal charge filed.
Following the arrest, The La County DA's office confirmed the
case was declined on Monday, referred back to LAPD for
additional investigation. The charging deputy got additional information late last night,
and now the man has been charged with one count
of murder and one kind of dissuading a witness.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
I bring this up because waiting a witness, he could have.
Speaker 2 (15:01):
Fled, He could have fled the country, He could have disappeared,
knowing all they're on to me. Now, Oh thank god
I got released because the dope be Gascon's office. What
do you mean murder? Bring us more proof?
Speaker 1 (15:11):
What do you have?
Speaker 2 (15:12):
What bones lod you guys heading the concrete block? Bring
it to me.
Speaker 1 (15:17):
I want to see. I want to make sure this
is a real story. I don't trust you, you know,
I don't even think they debate this stuff anymore. In
Gascone's office, they simply don't open the folders or they
don't access the information online anymore. There's fourteen thousand cases unprosecuted.
It means they don't even turn on their their computer
because they do not believe in incarceration. It's not simple,
(15:41):
but I mean it's like a brand to do that.
Speaker 2 (15:43):
You have to take all of these avenues. You have
to release the people that are in prison. You have
to work on keeping them. And like you said, a
pile of fourteen thousand cases is one way to make
sure it's slow. Go to anybody going to jail. Wow,
this is so bad.
Speaker 1 (15:56):
This is how you carry out that agenda. This is
how you do it. You know, we got any higher
public defenders as your DA's, your deputy das. We got
like a little over three months and then we could
have gascon ousted ousted.
Speaker 2 (16:11):
We love it, all right, We got more coming up. Oh,
I know John's gonna be excited by this story. The
latest climate conference is about to begin in Dubai. Wait,
do you hear how many people are flying there? And
then we'll talk about California sending a delegation to show
the world that we are one of the leaders in
climate change prevention.
Speaker 1 (16:32):
And they're flying too. I guess everybody's flying. Dubai's pretty far.

We're expecting Steve garveigan studio after the New at three o'clock.
Of course, the Dodger baseball legend would like to be
your next California United States senator taking the Feinstein sen
just announced a couple of months ago. We had a
phone conversation with them. But he'll be in the studio
with John after the News at three o'clock for a
more in depth interview. A quick reminder that the Moist

Line is coming back in two days. Leave your messages

one eight seven seven Moist eighty six one eight seven

time for the twenty twenty three United Nations Climate Change
Conference known as COP twenty eight, and it's going to
(17:39):
be held in the United Arab Emirates.
Speaker 1 (17:42):
Okay, this is so funny. This is the world's largest
collection of hypocrites because they're virtually all flying in a
lot of them long long distances, and they're going to
be hosted by a nation that makes nearly all its
money from selling oil.
Speaker 2 (18:01):
How does that work?
Speaker 1 (18:03):
Just Topai, This is another big racket. They're going there
for the booze and the food and the hookers. More
than seventy thousand people will arrive, mostly by private and
commercial jets.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
Private jet. It begins tomorrow in Dubai. Private jets.
Speaker 1 (18:19):
Well, led you know who's leading our delegation, John Kerry.
There you go. He's the biggest pomp food of the ball.
Speaker 2 (18:25):
Biden is not going, but he's sending John Kerry his
climate envoy.
Speaker 1 (18:31):
They are blowing enormous amounts of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.
Imagine seventy thousand people on thousands of planes.
Speaker 2 (18:41):
In twenty nineteen, when he traveled on a private jet
to Iceland, he get a Climate Change award. Carry was
asked why he chose to fly private. He responded by saying,
it's the only choice for someone like me, if you
offset your carbon. It's the only choice for somebody like
me who's traveling the world to win this battle, if
you offset your carbon. Yeah, that's still around. That's fake.
(19:03):
That's a scam.
Speaker 1 (19:05):
I know, I know, we've been hearing this for twenty
years now. Meanwhile, California is sending a delegation. Of course,
they are to show the world that we are a
leader on the climate change front. Right, our atmosphere is
cooler than everybody else's. Well, no, remember the fires, wipe
that out. We did that story. Remember the fires twenty nineteen,
(19:27):
twenty twenty. Apparently they reversed a lot of our air.
Speaker 2 (19:31):
Change from decarbonization to electric cars. California hopes to showcase
its climate leadership, says the story in the El Segundo
Times today by Hayley Smith. California is expected to play
a sizable role in the proceedings in Dubai. Representatives from
Newsom's administration will attend and speak on our progress towards
(19:53):
clean energy goals.
Speaker 1 (19:55):
See what the air distance is from Sacramento to Dubai. No,
Wade Crowfoot, California's Natural Resources secretary, is very excited about this.
Wade to make the.
Speaker 2 (20:08):
Yeah, I think he's native American.
Speaker 1 (20:10):
I think eight thousand and twenty seven miles eight and
twenty seven miles times too, because unfortunately they're coming back. Oh,
you're right.
Speaker 2 (20:20):
The conference is being chaired by Sultan Ahmad al Jabbar,
chief executive of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, one
of the largest oil companies in the world. How Does
that make sense?
Speaker 1 (20:32):
It doesn't. They don't care.
Speaker 2 (20:34):
Isn't it one of the sinners that they have to challenge.
It's that they're going there to be hosted by him.
Speaker 1 (20:39):
This makes no sense. So they can drink yet there's
probably not a lot of hookers though in Dubai. That's
probably so well. And remember I don't think you can drink, right.
Isn't that they have one of these guys. Did we
find that out with the World Cup that they had
to well that was in Qatar, right, These guys are
are going to have a good time. They're not going
(20:59):
to be going to the local mosque to pray.
Speaker 2 (21:02):
The Paris Agreement seeks to limit global warming to one
point five degrees celsius above pre industrial levels and no
higher than two degrees benchmark that was passed for the
first time this month. There you go, John, they made
some inroads there. But California officials eym fact that the
(21:23):
states can get work done in Dubai. As one of
the world's largest economies. California is going to reach carbon
neutrality by the year twenty forty five.
Speaker 1 (21:31):
Yeah, sure, they're going to have a document. The UN's
Food and Agriculture organization. They're going to deliver an edict,
an edict that's an order telling Western countries to save
the planet, they have to stop eating meat and vegan alternatives. Yeah,
(21:54):
it's time for Deborah Mark to take over the world.
Avocados for everyone's un ween. He's are gonna try to
force veganism on people. Yeah, particularly Western nations. They are
concerned with the Western nation meat consumption. Wealthy nations over
consume meat, and we should limit our intake. That's you
(22:14):
steak fase, Burger boy, this is burger boy, right, this
is the you know, I'm ready to join the black
helicopter crowd. We got the un here, we got some
authoritarian phony commission and they're going to be ordering Western
countries to eat vagan. It's not so bad now.
Speaker 2 (22:36):
On the same subject, the Democratic governor of Connecticut has
withdrawn his plan to mandate future EV purchases. Not California,
as we know, it was an ounce a couple of
years ago. Buy Newsom the year twenty thirty five, you
cannot buy a new car in the state of California
that has any fossil fuel requirements. They were gonna do
this in Connecticut, but apparently the governor there, Ned Lamont,
(22:58):
has backed down. How about that he.
Speaker 1 (23:02):
Got bipartisan pushback from lawmakers because nobody wants these cars
in fact, oh yeah, that other story about the dealer.
Listen to this. A coalition of more than three thousand
auto dealers is sending an open letter to Biden calling
on him to slow down this electric vehicle push. Dealers
in fifty states and covers every major car brand, because
(23:26):
the cars are piling up on the dealer lots by
the thousands all across the country. In fact, some dealers
are no longer accepting any more shipments. They can't move them,
they can't sell them. Now and under under the corner
of the White House, two thirds of new sedan crossover
(23:49):
and SUVs and light truck purchases are supposed to be
electric by twenty thirty two.
Speaker 2 (23:56):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (23:56):
And the dealers are saying this is not happening because
the electric vehicles are way too expensive, their range is
way too short, electrical charging stations are sparse, and when
you get there, they're either occupied or they're broken, like
the hall system stinks. So the mandates have have got
to go here it's not working, and and now and
(24:18):
now the Connecticut governor, a Democrat is a grade.
Speaker 2 (24:21):
Yeah, he's backed off from their requirements. So again, cocky
people like Newsom claim the whole world is copy in California.
Speaker 1 (24:29):
It's not happening. And they're going to try to make
that case in Dubai that we're the leader, and.
Speaker 2 (24:34):
They Instead, he goes to China and signs what one
of those called memorandums of understanding, the moves worthless moves.
Speaker 1 (24:44):
Yeah, with Chinese people probably laugh behind his back that
idiots as they almost be tripped over kids playing basketball,
right as they open up another twelve coal coal fire
power plans.
Speaker 2 (24:54):
Let them have this piece of paper home.

That's my just personal favorite moment radio shock jock. That
guy's name is what is his name? Bill Curtis? Bill
Curtis the voice guys from news. He was a big
news anchor. Especially God, they're also full of themselves news journalists.
Speaker 2 (26:35):
We were talking about all these people traveling to Dubai
for the latest climate conference, and you've probably been hearing
the story that we had the first commercial airliner to
cross the Atlantic on animal fat. Yeah, yeah, that's exactly they're.
Speaker 1 (26:51):
Calling it jet zero.
Speaker 2 (26:53):
Largely the the aviation fuel was made up of tallow
and other waiste fats. Tallow, tallow, and if you look
up tallow, here's a good one. It's a rendered form
of beef or mutton suet s u et, primarily made
of triglycerides.
Speaker 1 (27:09):
Oh that sounds healthy. Actually it says it is is it?
Speaker 2 (27:14):
As mentioned above, tallow provides both saturated and mono saturated fats.
It's made of about forty to fifty percent mono unsaturated fats,
which you're considered one of the most heart.
Speaker 1 (27:23):
Healthy fats in our diets. Well, there you go.
Speaker 2 (27:25):
It's the same type of thought found in olive oil.
And people always are touting olive oil.
Speaker 1 (27:30):
Get me, get me a bowl of tallow, because I yes,
says here is tallow just lard. Because I thought that
was lard. When you see that, I thought, yeah I
did too, I thought that, did you ever see? And
my mother like if she'd make something in the pan,
I was a hamburger, maybe some sort of beef, And
later on it all kind of congeals into this white
little yeah, white blue, this blob talent that is beef fat.
(27:53):
Lard is pork fat. Exactly. You're right.
Speaker 2 (27:56):
Tallow is beefat lard is pork fat. That is the
difference between them, right. I know there's a lot of
lard in like Mexican cooking.
Speaker 1 (28:03):
Yes, yeah, yeah. When I go to Mexican restaurants, I
always asked, use lard. No, we don't. How long does
it take you to order vegetable oil?
Speaker 2 (28:11):
It just depends on where I go.
Speaker 1 (28:13):
Oh okay, but how long?
Speaker 3 (28:15):
Drive's?
Speaker 1 (28:15):
My husband insane? It just depends. Okay, I don't want
to consume anything with lard or tallow. Have you gone
on for five minutes? Probably? We used tallow at the
Buffalo Wild Wings I worked at in college. Oh yeah,
oh yeah, for the Friars.
Speaker 2 (28:31):
Everything well, before we celebrate all this, first of all,
the United Kingdom Transport Department provided over a million dollars
to plan and operate the flight, a huge step towards
what they call jet and zero to make air travel
more environmentally friendly. But you talk to other experts later
on the story, they don't believe that they can make
(28:51):
enough of this. Right now, arounder point one percent of
aviation fuel globally is made up what they call sustainable
aviation fuel, and they're not sure they can do it
on the scale they'd have to do it.
Speaker 1 (29:03):
No, there's a lot of ideas that look great in
a research paper, and they can have conferences and dubai
about it. Yeah, they should be talking about this. Yeah.
Why can't John Kerry fly on tallow He's got a
face of tallo. Yeah he is. He's a fat head. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (29:24):
The challenge is ramping up production to get enough volume,
so we're flying more sustainable aviation fuel every day. So
we're nowhere near that.
Speaker 1 (29:31):
Yah. You know what, they really haven't improved on gasoline
and oil for ever since they made the first gas
powered car.
Speaker 2 (29:40):
That's because it's it's still there and it's relatively cheap.
Speaker 1 (29:43):
Yeah, I know. It's the perfect fuel and it's created
the modern world. Do you know how many people would
starve to death if we didn't burn fossil fuels. That's
what has brought billions, literally billions of people into at
least the middle class, or at least to survive. I
don't understand this. Why get angry at the Really one
(30:06):
of the best uses of a natural resource, the best
use of a natural resource ever all right when we return.
