Speaker 1 (00:04):
Hello friends, it's mister Jim and welcome back to Kids
Animal Stories. Today we are continuing this spooky adventure. Well
not spooky, but the creature named a Hellbender, which is
kind of spooky sounding, who has just woken up to
a very dirty river and he can't breathe. Where is

(00:25):
all this mess coming from? Are you guys ready for
the next part of this adventure? It won't mean to
let's go. As Blake was sitting on the top of
this rock, he knew that he needed to figure this

(00:48):
out or the whole river was gonna be in some
big trouble. He swam over to the edge of the
river and pulled himself out and started to look around.
Oh no, it's coming from up there. He could see
up the hill that that black slimy stuff was pouring

(01:10):
out from some kind of pipe and it looks like
a giant tree had fallen on a pipe. You see
nearby there was some kind of pipe that had a black,
slimy stuff inside of it that needed to travel through
the pipe and it's not meant to spill out because
it would poison the water, just like what Blake has found.

(01:32):
But it looks like yesterday a giant tree fell over
on top of the pipe, pinching it, and that pinch
let out a lot of that black, slimy stuff As
it poured out of the pipe. It flowed directly into
the river where Blake was Oh, no, I'm gonna need

(01:52):
to find someone to help me with this, because that
is a lot bigger than me. Hellbenders, they're very strong,
but not that strong. He's gonna need help from some
kind of creature. What kind of creature that lives in
the woods do you think would be good at moving trees? Hmmm?
Do you think eternal a fish or a beaver? A beaver? Yes,

(02:19):
he has a friend beaver that he is gonna go
ask for help. Hellbanders are not very fast in the land.
They're actually pretty slow walkers, so he had to walk
as fast as he could, which was still not very quick.
He finally made it over to Bucky's palace. Bucky was
the beaver that lived in the area that had built

(02:41):
a huge palace out of branches and mud and sticks. Bucky, Bucky,
are you in there? Shouted Blake. Hey, let's go in bed.
That was Bucky the beaver. I need you to come
take a look at this blake led Bucky all the

(03:02):
way over to where that fallen tree was crushing the pipe.
Oh boy, that is that's quite the mess there. But
don't you worry me and my buckaroos. We are gonna
get that tree out of here in the high holsplit
no fast time in the whole wide world. Bucky zoomed
off towards his mansion, his giant log mansion, and in

(03:26):
a split second, a whole family of beavers came bursting
out of it. And just like that, the beavers started
cutting at the tree. Yeah. Did you know that beavers
are really good at cutting trees down? Yeah? Do you
know how they're that good? Do they have chainsaws? No? No, no, no,

(03:47):
they don't have jade sauce. They have really sharp teeth.
And when they start biting the tree in the wood
as fast as they can, they even eat the bark. Yeah,
they eat wood. Did you know that I would at
least need to put some ketchup or some barbecue sauce
on my bark, But no, no, I don't need bark.

(04:09):
But fevers love it. And they zoomed all the way
through the tree, cut it up into smaller pieces, and
we're able to carefully lift it off of the pipe. There,
God should do it, said Bucky. And as soon as
they were able to lift the tree off of the pipe,
that pinch went away and that black, ooey, gooey, slimy

(04:32):
stuff stopped leaking out of it. Wow, Bucky, Uh, I
can never thank you enough. You've saved us. All the
whole river owes you and your family a debt of gratitude. Oh,
don't you worry. We love doing this stuff. We love helping,
but we also love wood. So just if you ever

(04:53):
need a tree remove just call Bucki's Tree Removal Service
and we'll be right there, said as him and his
family raced off back to their log mansion. I'm getting
very sleepy, said Blake. This hellbender had never spent this

(05:14):
long outside of his home, let alone the whole river,
and he needed to get back to the water. As
Blake the Hellbender slowly walked back to the river, he
slipped into the water and oh, age, he was getting tired.

(05:37):
It is getting a lot better, still a little murky,
but the water is finally returning back to normal. I
think it's about time that I took a nap. Blake
the Hellbender swam back over to his big giant rock
where he spent the past fifteen years of his life.
And he wait a second, Eh, since I'm out, maybe

(06:01):
I'll find a new place to live. Wait what hellbenders?
They rarely ever switched their homes. Where is he gonna go?
Is he gonna go on a brand new adventure to
find a new rock? Oh? Oh boy, I've bet Blake's
in for the time of his life. And then we oh,
there he goes. He found a new rock right next

(06:23):
to his old rock. Oh, this is perfect. It's totally
brand new here. It's like a whole new part of
the river I've never seen before. Wow, I think this
is gonna be the start of something amazing. But first
it's naptime. Sh Well, I guess Blake the Hellbender did

(06:48):
not make it very far on his adventure to find
a new home. He only moved next door to the
next rock. Well, I think he's about to get pretty comfortable.
He's gonna be there for that fifteen years. Well, that
is the end of Blake's incredibly adventurous day, since he
never moves anywhere, and today he went everywhere. And that's

(07:11):
time for a nap for our Hellbender. Friend, everyone say
good night Blake, good night Blake, and the end. Great
job you listened all the way to the end. I
can't believe that Blake the Hellbender moved to a new home,

(07:34):
but it I guess it isn't very surprising that he
would pick the very rock next door to his old house.
Have you ever moved before? Yeah, it can be kind
of scary and exciting at the same time. All right,
do you remember how do hellbenders breathe? Do they breathe
through their nose, through their fingers, or through their skin? Yes,

(07:57):
through their skin, just like lots of other amphibians. Well,
