Hello Critter Protectors.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Mister Jim here and welcome to Kids Animal Stories, a
place where there's always a mystery and adventure around every
single corner. If you love critters of all shapes and sizes,
I need you on our Critter Protector team. Join our
adventure as we learn about critters from around the world.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
And in our back yards. Well, my friends, are you
ready for today's adventure? Me too, Let's go. On the
last episode, we saw that Tyler's friend Emma had just
been captured by aliens. Oh wait, I mean some humans

(00:49):
with a net. Tyler needs to figure out a way
to rescue Emma. How in the world can a tree
frog do that? Well, let's see what happens next. The
humans reached down and scooped up the little bull rout
fish you know, Emma, and they looked at her closely.

(01:10):
Her dorsal fin, the one on her back, was quite
tall for her small body. Her two fins were large
and round compared to her size. They loved her dark
green camouflage. She looked kind of like a rock with
moss on it. After checking out the fish, the humans
started messing around with their bucket. Oh no, Tyler thought

(01:35):
to himself. Are they taking her away forever? Oh dear,
he frantically thought and looked around him. There had to
be something that he could do. Tyler tried to jump. Yeah, yea, yeah,
Maybe I can get their attention if I move around enough. One, two, three, jump,
But nothing happened. Tyler the tree frog had only been

(01:58):
a tree frog for a little while and he hadn't
learned how to jump yet. There has to be something else.
Tyler looked around. He climbed up a small branch there,
All right, if fucking bounce on this branch, maybe it'll
shake around and move. But nothing happened. He was not

(02:19):
big enough to shake a branch on the tree. And
then he saw one of those human critters trying to
fill the bucket with swamp water. Tyler was running out
of time. He had one more chance, and then an idea,
a great idea, the best idea of them all, popped
right into his head. That's it, Tyler thought, and without

(02:43):
any hesitation, he let out a loud, laughing croak. What
in the world was that? The humans were shocked because
Tyler sounded like so many little people laughing. They were
so curious that they set their bucket and net down.

(03:07):
They had forgotten that Emma was still in the net
and was able to flop her a way back into
the water and swim away. She watched the humans walk
over to where Tyler was, and she watched it very closely.
What happened next. Tyler the tree frog hugged the tree

(03:28):
tightly and relied on his camouflage to become completely invisible.
He had climbed up about thirty feet into the tree.
Only smokes, so he was thankful that he had pads
and was athletic enough to climb anywhere. Did you hear
where that sound was coming from? One of the people asked,

(03:52):
oh why, I don't know what it was. It sounded
like a whole bunch of people laughing, so weird. Searched
and searched, but could not find the source of that
laughing sound. They looked under a park, rocks and as
high as they could go, but they gave up. The
humans packed up all their stuff and went back home.

(04:15):
When they left, Tyler finally breathed out a sigh of relief.
Show that was insane. I can't believe my camouflage worked
and the laughing call I did? How did I do that.
I've never even done that before. But he then remembered
what he had to do next, Emma. I gotta go
check on Emma and make sure she's okay. He climbed

(04:38):
down the tree and started to yell Emma's name.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
Eh.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
Thankfully, the search did not take long because Emma was
looking for him too.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
Tyler.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
I can't believe your call saved me. I've never heard
you make a sound like that before, Emma said. Tyler
explained that while he was growing those extra limbs is, arms,
and legs and spending more time on land, he started
to have the capability to make some sounds. He was
a little confused why he was able to make such

(05:09):
a loud noise, but now it all made sense. Tyler
and Emma were so happy to be back together, and they
made plans to play again soon. Tyler and Emma always
kept an eye out for each other. They made a
great team because one was in the water and the
other was on land. That's pretty cool. Have you ever

(05:32):
moved or has a friend of yours ever moved away?
He can feel pretty sad, right, just like how Emma
and Tyler were best friends. As soon as Tyler left
the pond left the water he moved away. They both
felt kind of sad that they weren't able to spend
as much time together. But the cool thing about being

(05:53):
friends is even if you don't live right next to
your friend anymore, you can still plans some fun things
to do. Maybe on a video call together or just
a regular phone call. Hmm, Well, since Emma and Tyler
I don't think they have phones or cameras, I think
they're just gonna have to stick to heaven. Maybe a

(06:16):
Thursday morning playdate. Yeah, that sounds like a good plan
for them. Well that may be the end of our
Critter adventure, but I think it's only just the beginning
of these two, and they're awesome. Friendship the end A
