Speaker 1 (00:04):
Hello friends, it's mister Jim and welcome back to Kids
Animal Stories. That this is your first time, welcome to
the family. I am looking for a team of critter
protectors that are not only great at protecting critters of
all shapes and sizes, but also great at solving mysteries.
So today's episode is a mystery. I lay out all

(00:25):
the clues. You have to listen very closely and figure
out what gritter this story is about. Are you ready
for today's adventure? Meek two, let's go. It was a
beautiful day as Semesh woke up. He was usually the

(00:51):
last to wake up in his family. I think I'm
a lot like Smesh. I definitely like my sleep too.
You see, Samesh is apted by a wonderful family of
chickens and they all loved each other very very much.
Smesh loved being a part of this family and they
always had a ton of fun together. One of their

(01:14):
favorite things to do was to play football together or soccer.
They loved to kick the ball around and Smesh was
really really good. He looked similar to his brothers and
sister chickens, but he was a lot bigger and stronger,
so he could kick the ball super duper far. How

(01:36):
far could you kick a ball? Do you think you
could kick it as far as Semesh can, even though
Semesh is very very strong. I think you could kick
it a little further than Semesh can. The one hard
part of being a family of chickens is that when
you're walking home from school, there's a lot of mean

(01:56):
animals that are around, like the monkey and cobras and dogs.
They were always bullying them on their way home from school.
But Samesh was different than his brothers and sisters. He
was very very brave. Like I said, he was a
little bigger than them and a lot stronger, but he
was also super duper brave. Don't even think about messing

(02:21):
with my brothers and sisters. You better just go on
slithering away. Semesh was standing eyeball to eyeball with a
king cobra. What are you talking about? You better be
afraid of me. Semesh didn't even flinch, and the king

(02:44):
cobra backed off and slithered away. Semesh flapped his big
wings to show that he was not afraid. Semesh, thank
you so much. Oh those cobras never leave us a
lit when we're walking home. From school, said one of
his brothers. You'll be safe if you just stay with me,

(03:05):
Semesh said. They finally reached home and they opened the
door and walked inside. Hey, dad, they shouted, Wow, how
is school? Everybody? And Somemesh, you're just growing so fast.
I swear this morning you didn't have tail feathers that long. Wow,

(03:27):
you're growing up so fast, said their dad. But how
is school? What did you all talk about? Well, we
were talking about the Celebration of Colors Festival that's happening
this weekend, and just the history about it, said Semesh's sister.
But as chickens, I don't know if we have many
colors to celebrate. What are you talking about. We have

(03:50):
all kinds of colors in our feathers. It's gonna be
a really great festival. But uh, Somemesh, your tail feathers
are coming in, and this is quite the celebration of
a lot of colors that you have in your feathers.
You see, the Celebration of Colors Festival was the time
when all the critters of all shapes and sizes would

(04:11):
come together and show off their different colors. It was
like the highlight of the year. To see just how
wonderful look when everyone came together and displayed all their
colors and patterns. It was amazing. Samesha's family had always
told him that he was going to be a very
colorful bird, but he didn't have many of those colors yet.

(04:32):
His brothers and sisters were all bright yellow and starting
to turn brown, but he didn't have any of that yet.
But his dad was right. His tail feathers were getting
a lot longer, and it looked like there were some
colors starting to shine through. Have you ever felt like
Semesh before, where you just frustrated that you know you're

(04:53):
hoping for something to happen and it hasn't happened yet. Yeah,
that is called being patient, and it's something that I
sometimes have a hard time doing. I definitely understand how
Samesh feels, where you know he's been told that something
is gonna happen and it's not happening yet, and just
feels like you're waiting forever and ever. But hold on

(05:15):
a second. We need to summarize all the clues that
have been snuck into this story and talk about them.
Have you figured out what kind of critter Semesh is? Well?
We've learned that he's not a chicken, but he grew
up with chickens, and he has feathers and wings, and
he seems to be growing a lot faster than his

(05:37):
brothers and sister chickens are, so we can't be a chicken.
And he has really long tail feathers that are coming
in that seem to be having a lot of colors
maybe soon on their way. Hmmm. This is hard because
there's a lot of birds in the world and Semesh

(05:58):
seems to be one that it has a lot of
potential to have a lot of color in him. Hmm,
I'm gonna need to keep listening to this story in
order to figure out who and what Semesh is. The
whole family got ready for dinner, and Semesh helped set
the table, which was a really important job. He put
all the plates out and the cups and the forks

(06:21):
and spoons and everything, and then gobbled down their dinner
and all brushed their beaks and got ready for bed.
Their dad was a really good storyteller, and so he
leaned over and told an amazing story about his first
time going to the Celebration of Colors festival. As all
the chicks and some mesh I started closing their eyes.

(06:45):
They fell fast asleep, and Samesh had the most amazing
dream ever that night. You see, he was surrounded by
all these colors that were coming out of his feather.
It was like someone put on a beautiful rainbow jacket
all around him, and he was able to go to

(07:07):
the celebration of colors and everyone was amazed at how
many colors that Semesh was able to display. Wow, that
sounds like an amazing dream and a dream that actually
might come true. Wait a second, how in the world
could that dream come true in real life? Is Semesh

(07:28):
going to be given a very colorful jacket or is
something more amazing and incredible going to happen. I'm not
exactly sure yet, but we will have to wait and
see what happens on the next episode of Kids Animal Stories.

(07:49):
Great job you listened all the way to the end.
And has anyone figured out who Samesh is. I'm very confused.
I can't think of many birds that have as many
colors as this story is saying that he might get.
Is that dream actually gonna come true? I kind of
hope it does, but I don't understand how Hmmm. Well,

(08:13):
we're gonna have to keep thinking my friends, and I
hope you have a super duper day. These stories are
so fun for me to share, and thank you very
much for bringing them into your home. I will see
you on a next adventure. Bye.
