Speaker 1 (00:04):
Hey, friends, welcome back to Kids Animal Stories. It's your host,
mister Him and I have to make sure that you
have checked out all of our challenges and activities that
we make for you. You see down in the description
of this episode there are some links and ask your
parents to click on those links for you. And there's
a whole bunch of activities that we tie to every

(00:26):
single episode, so you can listen to an episode and
then do a fun project. Well, friends, are you ready
to solve this mystery of whosameshes? Me too? Let's go.
The next day at school, some Mesh couldn't stop thinking

(00:46):
about that amazing dream he had the night before. He
kept wondering if that could actually come true. He really
wished that it would. Have you ever had a dream
before while you're sleeping that you wished was real, Like
maybe you could fly in your dream, or maybe you

(01:08):
fell into a pool full of ajello. I might want
to jump in a pool of jello and gobble it
all up. Those are both great dreams. And Semesh had
a magical dream last night where he was given this
amazingly beautiful, colorful coat and he got to go to
a party with all of his family and it was amazing. Remember,

(01:30):
Semesh is adopted in his family of chickens, and he
loved his family, but he always wondered, you know, what
was he going to grow up to look like? That
was something I would wonder too if I was Semesh.
And I think today is gonna be that magical day
where he discovers something amazing about his feathers. After school,

(01:54):
Semesh and his brothers and sisters were walking outside and
they were headed home. Hey, guys, I forgot my lunchbox inside.
I'm gonna go grab it. I'll catch up you guys.
Keep going, okay, Samesh, just don't take too long. You
know those monkeys and all those bullies always give us trouble. Yeah,
I'll be really fast, shouted Samesh. His brothers and sisters

(02:17):
started walking towards home, and Semesh ran back inside the
school to get his lunchbox because it's never good to
leave your stuff and forget it at school, right, Yes,
So he ran inside and got it and hurried to
catch up with his brothers and sisters. Off in the distance,
he could see monkeys starting to circle around his brothers

(02:40):
and sisters. And if you know anything about Semesh, you
do not mess with his family, because he is one
very brave, strong bird. Hey, I thought I told you
to leave us alone, shouted Semesh, as he was running
as fast as he could towards the monkeys that were

(03:01):
circling his family. What are you gonna do about it?
Challenged one of the monkeys, and Samesh stepped up. He
raised his head and his wings, and all of a
sudden whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, as he flapped his wings and

(03:22):
showed his claws on his toes, all these feathers started
popping out from his tail, and holy smokes, it looked
like his tail almost caught on fire, or at least
got bit by a giant rainbow. There were colors of
all kinds flying around, and the monkeys were very confused.

(03:46):
They were shocked, and so were all of Semesha's brothers
and sisters. Oh ruw. The monkeys were so afraid they
all ran for the trees and were never seen again.
Semesh's brothers and sisters, their beaks were wide open. These

(04:07):
baby little chickens had never seen something so incredible, Semesh,
how did you do that? It was then that Semesh
actually realized what had just happened. As he turned around
and looked at all of his feathers, he couldn't believe it.
There were just the most amazing, brilliant colors, the same

(04:30):
colors that were in his dream from the night before,
but instead of a jacket, It's like his feathers had
formed this beautiful blanket that spread out from him, and
his tail feathers were really long and had these amazing
designs on them. Hold on a second, we need to

(04:50):
pause the story because what in the world kind of
gritter is Semesh? All right? We need to break it
down because it is time to solve the mystery. Okay,
so we've learned that Samesh is not a chicken. He
seems bigger than his brothers and sisters and stronger and

(05:12):
bigger wings, and I think he can fly. He has
all these beautiful colors. Have you figured out what kind
of bird that Samesh is? All right? Option number one
is some Mesh a flamingo because he has really bright colors, right,
But uh no, I think flamingos only have one color.

(05:34):
I think they're just pink. And yes, you're right, Samesh
is not a flamingo. Can you think of another bird
that might be some mesh Hmm, what bird has really
long tail feathers that are very colorful? Hmm, wait, what
did you say, did you say a peacock? Okay, yes, peacocks,

(05:57):
they do have very long tail feather check. They're very
colorful and have those beautiful patterns at the end of
those long feathers. Are they bigger than chickens? Yes, they
are bigger than chickens. And is Samesha peacock? You're right,
somemesh is a beautiful peacock that has some amazing tail

(06:19):
feathers of all different colors. Have you ever seen a
peacock feather before? Oh, they are pretty amazingly beautiful. Well,
you know their heads, their neck is a brilliant bright blue,
and then they have these beautiful green tail feathers that
look like they have eyeballs on the feathers, but they're

(06:41):
actually just some beautiful colors of like green and yellow
and teal and aqua and blue and purple. And I
can't imagine any color is missing from a peacock's feather.
As semesh In his siblings finished their walk home, they
were greeted by their parents, who were absolutely shocked. That

(07:02):
Semesh had turned into a beautiful adult peacock with brilliant colors,
and now as a family, they were all very excited
to go to that celebration of colors together. Huh, it
does seem like Semesh's dream from last night actually did

(07:22):
come true. Wow, maybe some of our most amazing dreams
will one day come true, just like Semesh. The end. Wow,
great job you listened all the way to the end.

(07:44):
Wasn't that an amazing story about Semesh? Yes? That well,
may be so happy to hear that he finally got
all of his amazing colors. He did have to wait
a long time for it, but that dream actually did
come true. Have you ever had a dream that you
