John's journey through new Creation. In our last story, we
saw the first part of John's vision and Revelation as
he saw the events leading up to the new creation.
This story is the conclusion of John's vision and an
encouragement to all believers as inspired by Revelation.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
Hi everyone, it's joya Sadler with our last episode. I
can't believe it. Of Kids byble One New Year podcast.
Well this is it, but it's only the beginning. We
are going to discuss revelation, how the world ends, Jesus wins,
and eternity begins. So do you know what. It's the
(02:09):
happiest ending ever and I can't wait to tell you
all about it. Thanks so much for staking with me
through this journey. I hope that you have had a
great time. I know I have, and I hope that
you will be lifelong students, readers, lovers, and sharers of
the Word of God. This is the last story and
(02:30):
it's a special one, so listen in.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
I stood inside the city with one of God's angels
who continued to guide me. I was led to a
river that flowed through the city. The water was so
clean and clear, it flowed so calmly. I stood at
the edge and looked into it and saw my reflection
almost like a mirror. When I looked back up. The
angel told me, this is the river of living water.
(03:00):
I looked to see where the river flowed from and
saw that it came from the throne of God, with
Jesus sitting there. As I traced the river, I found
that it flowed down the middle of the street. On
either side of the street, I saw trees. I went
to inspect them and saw that they had twelve types
of fruit hanging from them. I was noticeably in shock
(03:22):
as the angel told me, this is the tree of Life.
It bears fruit every month. As we stood there, people
of all kinds came to the tree and would pull
a leaf off, crumple it up, and rub it on them.
Through this they were healed of whatever things ailed them.
There was great healing in the leaves of the Tree
(03:43):
of Life. It struck me as I saw this that
nothing will ever be cursed again. Pain and suffering was gone.
I heard music and chanting coming from up the river.
As I looked up, I saw servants of God at
his throne. I walked up to join them, and where
I noticed that all his servants were able to look
up at God and peer upon his face. As I
(04:06):
walked through the crowd. I looked at each of the
servants and saw God's name upon their foreheads. I worshiped
with them for a great deal of time. I noticed
that time went on and thought that it should be
getting dark out. I returned to the angel, who was
my guide, and he simply pointed to God. God was
the one providing might. He always is, and because he is,
(04:29):
there was no night. People also had no need for
a sun in the sky or a lamp to light
the darkness. This city was truly immersed in the presence
of God. This was the manifestation of God with us.
What you are seeing will happen. God gave me a
specific message for you. Tell the people to prepare. This
(04:51):
will happen fast. When it happens, the people will be
blessed if they focus on what you are to write,
the Angel said to me. When these words processed in
my mind and I realized just how serious the soul was,
I fell to my knees and worshiped the angel. He
scolded me, I am a servant of God, just like you.
Do not worship me. He continued to say, what you
(05:14):
wrote is going to change the world. It is extremely
important bring this to all people so that they may
read it.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
That is your job.
Speaker 3 (05:23):
Do not concern yourself with the responses of people. God
will take care of that through the work of the
Holy Spirit. Then Jesus came to me from the throne
and spoke to me, I am coming soon.
Speaker 2 (05:34):
When I return, it.
Speaker 3 (05:35):
Will be quick. Everyone that has done something for me
will get what they deserve in their rewards. I am
the Alpha and the Omega, the first and last letter
of the Greek alphabet, the beginning and the end. All
things happened through me. Those that prepare for my coming
will be blessed, and they will partake of the tree
(05:56):
of life. They will enter this city and come and
go free. Those that are wicked will not have these privileges,
and they will stay outside of the gates. Remember who
I am. I am the Root, the branch of David,
and the bright and morning Star. It warmed my heart
to be hearing Jesus again face to face. I noted
(06:17):
his words on paper and etched them onto my heart
so I would never forget them. Suddenly I heard in
the distance from a group of worshippers the Spirit and
the bride say come. Then another group responded from across
the city. Come and again the first group shouted, if
you are thirsty, come, come and drink living water. My
(06:39):
dear friends that are reading this, be careful what you
do with what you have read. God is a just
judge and will judge you accordingly. Do not make up
what you have read here. Give an accurate account of
what it is you have read. Do not pick and
choose to believe what you want. All that is written
(06:59):
is true. Jesus said to me one last thing. Behold,
I am returning soon.
Speaker 4 (07:09):
I agree, Yes, Lord, Calm, Amen and amen.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
What a story, what a plan, what a God. As
we open today, John is standing inside of this great
city with his personal tour guide, who just happens to
be an angel. They walked over to a beautiful river
that was clean, clear, and calm. In fact, it was
so clear that John could see his face in it,
(07:43):
just like a mirror in the water. The angel said
it was living and the water came straight from the
throne of God. We see the picture of a river
all throughout scripture as a sign of how God provides
for his children and the peace that only comes from him. Next,
(08:04):
John describes some trees on either side of the street,
with twelve types of fruit for each month of the year.
This is so important. Think about it. How did this
whole great story book begin in a garden with the
tree of life. If you remember, Man was sent away
(08:25):
from the garden because of sin, But because of Jesus,
everything was made right again. And one day we will
get to enjoy the Tree of life, just as God
wanted it to be. John begins to realize nothing will
ever be cursed again. Pain and suffering will be gone forever.
(08:48):
And I really love this part. John hears music and chanting.
It's the servants of God you see in heaven. We
will love serving and worshiping God. It will make us
so happy. But listen to this. John says that all
of the God's servants are able to look at his face.
(09:10):
Do you remember reading about Moses in the Old Testament,
how he was not allowed to see the face of God.
It was too much for us to bear on earth.
But once we have our new heavenly bodies, sin is
gone forever and we are with Jesus. We will get
to look right at his face, and you will see
(09:32):
his loving eyes looking into your heart, and you will
understand the heart of God more than you ever have before. Next,
John notices something. He had been walking around, checking things,
out standing with all the saints and worshiping for a
very long time, but it wasn't getting dark. Nope. One
(09:52):
of my favorite hymns talks about this. It says, no
more night, no more pain, no more crying again. Why
because there's no need for the sun, the moon or
the stars. God is the light, and his light is
always shining bright. His presence will always be with us
(10:12):
and around us. How great is that? John is so
amazed he can hardly believe his eyes. It's then that
the angel gives him a little warning and says, John, listen,
what you are seeing is real and it is going
to happen. And when it happens, it's going to happen fast.
So tell everyone that's us and make sure they are ready.
(10:38):
It's then that Jesus comes to John, the same Jesus
he's spent three years with, walking around Galilee, laughing, crying,
healing and preaching together his very best friend. Jesus looks
into the eyes of John and makes a promise. I
am coming soon, and when I come to get my children,
(11:00):
it will happen quickly. I will reward those who have
served me. I am the beginning in the end, the
root of the branch of David, and the bright and
morning star. John says his heart felt warm. He was
face to face with Jesus. He wrote these words on
paper which have stood the test of time and we
(11:22):
hold in our hands today, and he wrote them on
his heart. And then Jesus said one last thing. Behold,
I am coming soon. Yes, Lord, Jesus come. And those
are the last words we read in our Bibles. It's
as if John's saying to us, it's time to get ready.
(11:43):
Now that how do we get ready? We make sure
our minds and heart stay said on Jesus. We think
about him, we talk about him, We love and forgive
each other. We do everything he has told us to do,
and we watch and wait. The number one thing that
you are supposed to do. The only thing that really
(12:07):
matters is that you accept Jesus as your savior, that
you ask him to come into your life and to
save you. And it goes something like this. If you
want to know for sure that you are going to
heaven when you die, without a doubt that you will
see Jesus, I want you to pray something similar in
(12:30):
your heart. Are out loud with me. Dear God. I
know that I am a sinner. I know that I've
made mistakes, but I believe what I have heard today,
that Jesus is the son of God, that he died
on the cross for my sins, and that he is
(12:54):
able to forgive and save me. Please forgive me for
my sins. Come into my life and be my savior,
Save my heart, save my soul, and help me to
spend the rest of my life serving you and Jesus' name.
My pray, Amen, I want you to remember that all
(13:19):
these words, all these verses about heaven and seeing Jesus
face to face is not just a cool book. It
is the best book. It's the only book that really matters.
Is not just for other people. It is God's story
for you, always and forever. Not a fairy tale, not
(13:39):
too good to be true, not an opinion, not a suggestion.
It is the only way life works, and it is
the truth that will set you free. I hope you
never forget the special time that we have spent together
the rest of your days reading the pages of the Bible.
(13:59):
