Speaker 2 (00:33):
Are you guys ready for today's story?

Speaker 1 (00:34):
Me too?

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Let's go.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
All right, Purple Ninjas, I feel like it's in the
vile since we've you know, done something extra stinky hour
or menacingly or something anything.

Speaker 4 (00:54):
What are you guys doing over there bus? Sorry, we
were sleeping. We are taking a nap.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
What are you doing sleeping on the job? No, if
we need to come up with an idea, you see,
I don't like when all the children in the world
are sleeping nice and peaceful. Is there something we can
do to just stop them from sleeping?

Speaker 4 (01:19):
Well, we could make some really obnoxious noises that always
tends to wake me up, Like what just happened?

Speaker 2 (01:26):
Now you're perfect.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
All right, Purple need just get to work on coming
up with the way to make all the sounds just
very loud and annoying and stop them from being able
to sleep. Get to work, go. Addie in June were
playing quietly. They had just had dinner and cleared the
table off with the dishes and put them in a
sink and wash them off. And now they were having

(01:51):
some quiet playtime before it was almost bedtime. Oh, June,
I'm getting very sleepy. Is it time for bed yet?
Said Addie. Uh, yeah, pretty close. Let's go brush your
teeth and get her Jamie's on. Addie and June walked

(02:12):
over to the bathroom and brushed their teeth and comb
their hair and got ready for bed.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Oh it story time.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
As they both crawled into their bunk beds, they turned
on a story and that's that was their favorite way
to fall asleep. Do you guys, have you ever been
in a bunk bed before? Oh, bunk beds are pretty cool.
You have to climb up sometimes like a ladder to
get to the top. Yeah, you have to be pretty
brave to sleep on the top part. Well, it's a

(02:46):
good thing that Addie and June are both super duper
brave Well.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
As they were listening to this story and their parents
tucked them in, they yawned and quickly fell asleep. Unfortunately,
their sleep did.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
Not last very long. After only about five minutes, all
of a sudden, all the car alarms in their neighborhood
started going off outside. What's going on, Addie, what's happening?

(03:25):
Said June. Addie sat up. All of a sudden, something
is definitely not right.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
Oh, it's it the middle of the night.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
Addie stretched her arms and felt like she'd been sleeping
a long time. As she sat up, she realized that
they had only been sleeping for five minutes. June, what
in the world is going on outside? They raced over
to the window and looked outside.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
Whoa look at that? Said June.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
All the cars, like the lights are flashing and the
alarms are going off. Someone must be trying to like
break into all the cars.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
We gotta call HQ.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
They raced over to their closet and grabbed their walkie talkies.
June was the first one HQ. HQ, come in.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
This is June and Natty over.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
June and Addie, it's very late. What's is there a problem?
Over yes, HQ, this is in emergencies for some reason.
All the cars in our neighborhood are alarming. The flights
are flashing, and it's really loud. There's no way we
can fall asleep. But something is going on.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
We need help.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
All the car alarms are going off. Yes, that is
pretty strange. Keep us in the loop of what's going on,
and we'll see if anywhere else is having this problem.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
Over and out, HQ.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Started doing a whole bunch of research on all the
area neighborhoods and cities and towns across the whole region.
And the news was not good. Addie in June, are
you there, yes, HQ, wors here over. The news is
not good. It appears that every town and your entire

(05:07):
region is experiencing the same problem. Carl alarms are going
off everywhere. We don't think anyone's breaking into the cars.
It just it appears that someone just flipped on all
the alarms. We're suspecting it's doctor stinky breath. Can you
look into this sh Yes, we'll do that right now.

(05:28):
Over and out, said Addie as they hung up the
walkie talkie. By then, their parents had run up to
their rooms Addie.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
June, are you okay?

Speaker 1 (05:37):
Said their parents. We can't figure out why all the
car alarms are going off. Have you called this into
HQ yet? Yes, we actually just got off the walkie
with them, said June. And they said the whole region
is experiencing the same problem, and everything is pointing to
you know who. You don't mean, doctor stinky breath, do you?
Said their parents. You got it, said Addie. And HQ

(06:01):
needs us to figure out what one earth is going on.
Do you guys have one of the remotes for your
car alarms? Their mom pulled one out of her pocket. Yes,
but it's not working. It's not turning off the alarm
like normally. If I push this button right here, the
alarm goes off. But the car is still being obnoxious.
And I'm pretty sure all the neighbors are having the

(06:22):
same problem. Oh, could we run some experiments on that,
said June. Yeah, good luck. We'll be downstairs and we're
gonna call some of our friends to see if they've
figured out anything. But Addie and June just let us
know if you need anything from us. Okay, okay, we will,
said Addie June. We've got to figure this out. There's

(06:42):
no way that we're ever gonna be able to sleep
again with those alarms going off. June, are you listening
to me?

Speaker 2 (06:48):
June.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
June was digging in a box in their closet.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
She was looking for something. June, are you listening to me? Hello,
said Addie.

Speaker 1 (06:57):
I can hear you. I'm just looking for something. Hold
on a second, said June. Here this is it. As
she pulled out this old contraption out of a box,
Addie remembered that was something that they had built together
at a spy camp a long time ago. I think
this is gonna be pretty helpful, said June. This is
a frequency detector. Oh, yes, frequency detectors.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
I remember you see.

Speaker 1 (07:23):
June and Addie were at a spy camp a long
time ago and they built this frequency detector and it was,
you know, built for detecting frequencies. And you see frequencies.
That's the when you push the button on that remote
like a car, for it to unlock or to lock
the car, or to turn off the alarm, it's sending
out a certain kind of frequency that goes through the

(07:44):
air and it's invisible. That's why you can't see it.
But that's what it then talks to the car. But
it seems like somebody is controlling all the frequencies to
the cars, and maybe, just maybe this old contraption can helpful. June,
You're a genius, shouted Addie. If doctor Stinky Breath is

(08:06):
behind all this, his frequency is gonna leave behind a
footprint for us to follow. All right, well, let's get
to work, shouted June. Meanwhile, up in the purple blimp,
Doctor Stinky Breath was very happy.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
Purple Ninjas. What the wonderful job you have done?

Speaker 1 (08:28):
I can tell that nobody is sleeping peacefully.

Speaker 4 (08:32):
Now, Yes, boss, it seems to me working perfectly. All
rangents cars are alarming, all due to our frequency amplifying
device over here. That will be perfect. No one will
ever be handled the sleep again.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
Yes, now, is that we have tested successfully, It's time
to roll out to the entire world. Oh no, doctor
Stinkybreath in the b Ninjas have figured out how to
control all the car alarms. I'm never gonna be able
to sleep ever again. If we can't turn it off.
We'll have to wait and see for chapter two. If

(09:10):
Addie and June are able to save the day, we'll
see you next time.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
On Kids Short Stories.

Speaker 1 (09:22):
Great job, you listened all the way to the end,
and you know what time it is. It's time for
kid shout out. I want to say to Luca from Colorado,
Sadian Sasha from Florida, Maya from Boston, Walter and Henry
from Minnesota, Louis and Arnold from Australia, Hudson from Chicago,

or Stinky Breath and his crew without you, my friends.
