Speaker 1 (00:04):

our other podcasts, Kids Animal Stories, has activities and challenges
that we make just for you. So if you love
gritters of all shapes and sizes, you have got to
become a gritter protector and complete these challenges down in

(00:27):
the show notes. Blow your parents can check that out.
But are you guys ready for today's adventure? I am,
let's go. It was a cold and windy day up
in the Snow mountains as Connor the Dragon poked his

(00:50):
head out from his cave.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Today is going to be a good day. I can
tell because I'm I always have good day. I'm a
ginormous dragon.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
Connor was a dragon, a good dragon who was very
proud of how big he was. He was a ginormous
dragon with a long tail and big wings and a
very long tongue. He always loved being the biggest of

(01:27):
all of the critters that lived on that snow mountain.
But today, little did Connor know that everything was about
to change. What am I going to do today? Maybe
I will go pick up some trees to show how

(01:48):
strong I am and make my muscles even bigger.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Yes, that is a good idea.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
I'm gonna go work on getting even bigger and stronger. Yeah,
Connor the dragon, he was pretty proud.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
Of how big he was.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
If you can't tell by now, well his day today
he decided he was gonna go lift some trees. Wow,
I cannot lift a tree, can can you? Wow? He
must be a ginormous dragon. As Connor started walking down
the mountain towards the forest, he was very excited to

(02:30):
start working his muscle magic.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
Oh, come here, tree cush.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
He ripped the tree right out from the ground and
held it over his head and did a few cool
moves of the tree. He threw it around like it
was just a tiny little stick, but it.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
Was an entire tree.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
Holy smokes, Connor is in a ginormous dragon.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
What is that over there?

Speaker 1 (03:00):
Something caught Connor's eye. Off in the distance was a
tree that had a certain glow to it and sparkle.
It looked kind of like it was covered in snow,
but it wasn't. As he walked closer and closer, he
couldn't believe his eyes.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
Holy smokes. That is a Is that a crystal tree?

Speaker 1 (03:25):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (03:25):
I must have that in my cave.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
As he put his two ginormous hands and claws around
the trunk of the tree, it felt and sounded very different.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
Oh, this tree almost feels magical. Wow, this is gonna
look good in my house.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
Said Connor. He started to pull with all of his might,
but the tree did not budge. What in the world
is going on here, said Connor. Okay, I just need
to change my footing a little bit and get a
better grip, because there's no tree that I cannot pull out.

(04:12):
No matter how hard he pulled and twisted and pushed
with all of his might, the tree did not move
an inch. Wow, this tree thinks it's stronger than me.
But I'm about to show him a thing or two,
said Connor as he pulled up his scales a little

(04:33):
higher and one more big pull ahead. He was gonna
use all of his might, every single ounce of muscle
in his body to get this magical tree back to
his cave.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
One, two, three.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
He was pulling with all of his might, and finally
a tiny little branch fell off into his claw. As
he opened up his claw hands and saw this tiny
little twig inside. He couldn't believe it.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
Wait a second, that's the only thing I got from
this whole tree. But then all of.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
A sudden something magical started to happen. That little twig
that he had broken off from the tree started to
sparkle and smoke, and all of a sudden, this cloud
started to rise around Connor, and he got a little nervous.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
What in the world is happening? What have I done?

Speaker 1 (05:37):
As he shouted, he was instantly covered in a cloud
of smoke and.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
Started to roll down the mountain.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
Leaves, dirt, and dust spat out from all around him
as he was sliding down this whole mountain. Several minutes later,
he finally came to a stop at the bottom of
the mountain.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
Uh right, aprons, So what happened? Worls, said Connor? Right
a where does everything look s?

Speaker 4 (06:19):
John? Normous?

Speaker 3 (06:21):
The truth rod raw truths a viral bottom, my little
hands hire the class.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
Somehow, Connor the Dragon had been transformed into Connor the Scorpion.
And scorpions are quite a bit smaller than the giant
dragon that Connor used to be, And so the whole
wide world looked a whole lot bigger than just a
few minutes ago.

Speaker 4 (06:52):
My life was over now that I'm so small raml
how lostable and mules dragged, and that was normous and strong,
but now I'm just a small little.

Speaker 1 (07:07):
Scorpilu Connor was really sad. Remember, being really big and
strong was like Connor's whole identity. That is who he
believed he was and was like the most important things.
So I can totally understand why he would be so
upset and sad for those to be taken away. And

(07:30):
now everything has changed. His whole life is now very different,
ever since he touched that magical tree on top of
the mountain. Hello there, Oh, what seems to be the problem?

Speaker 4 (07:43):
HER's there?

Speaker 1 (07:45):
The name's check. I'm the beaver around these parts. I've
never seen a scorpion cry before. What seems to be
the problem.

Speaker 4 (07:55):
They're never alve molbrut my loaf was over.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
Oh well, I'm sorry, that's something terrible happened. But uh,
you see, it's normally around here that everyone's very afraid
of scorpions because of that big stinger that you have
on the backside of you. O rubble of a stinger
on my brutle well, yes, the back of your tail.

(08:24):
Have you never noticed it before? It's the coolest part
of scorpions. But uh, that's why we're all a little
cautious around you, because nobody wants to get stung. Oh
don't I'm not gonna stung a little. But wow, that
hung little brutal cool Connor the scorpion started to wave
his tail back and forth, checking out that cool stinger

(08:46):
at the end. And it was at that moment that
Connor realized that even though he wasn't ginormous, he did
have a super secret cool skill as a scorpion. Wow,
Chuck looks like a little Laura got Ale. Friends. Friends,
you say, I've never been friends with a scorpion before, Well,

(09:07):
I'll have a lot to learn about those lit cloths
loud than ire London, and I still sort of the
run to help a little figure it.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
Out Alarm Darrel.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
And that may be the end of the story, but
just the beginning of Connor's new adventure. Although he's no
longer the big and strong and scary dragon, I think
he's gonna find some pretty cool things about being a
scorpion now the end. Great job, you listened all the

(09:39):
way to the end. And you know what time today is.
It's time for Kurd shout out. I want to say
hey to Whyde and Charlie from Oregon, Reese from New Hampshire,
Keaya from Washington, Simon from Vancouver, Atharve from Washington, Ashton
from Illinois, Conley from Charlotte, West, Whyite, and Jake from Connecticut.

(09:59):
I'm so glad that you're all on the Kitschhort Story's
family and on the spy team. We could not stop
Doctor Stinky Breath and his crew without you, my friends.
Will you have a super duper day and I will
see you on our next adventure.

Speaker 4 (10:14):
