Speaker 1 (00:04):
Hello, friends, it's mister Jim and welcome back to kid
Short Stories. Today's story is brought to us by three
of my friends, Noah, Judah and Rose. Hey guys, they
sent me an awesome idea for a story, and you
can too. Just head over to kidshortstories dot com. Send
me your idea and maybe you we'll turn it into
an awesome adventure. Are you guys ready for an amazing

(00:27):
story about a helicopter getting lost in the fog?

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Me too.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Let's go Judah, Noah, and Rose we're getting together for
a very special trip. You see, they were all pilots
of helicopters and airplanes and they love to fly to

(00:53):
different places to explore new lands. If you could fly
a helicopter, where would you do you want to go?
Do you want to fly to? Maybe the top of
a mountain, or maybe the North Pole or an island
in the middle of the ocean. I don't know. All
of those sound like cool places. Well, Judah was the

(01:15):
one that went to go pick up the helicopter and
then he was gonna fly it back and go get
Noah and Rose. Oh boy, this is a really cool helicopter.
As Judah climbed aboard. He was mesmerized by this one.
It was a brand new helicopter with all kinds of

(01:36):
cool gadgets and buttons and screens, and it was really
really cool. He was excited to fly it. He checked
the weather and everything looked all clear, but he was
in for a big surprise. All right, it's time for takeoff.
Noah and Rose, I'm just letting you know that I'm

(01:58):
taking off. I should be there and thirty minutes. Should
be a clear ride all the way there. I'll see
you there, over and out. Sh Noah and Rose were
back at home waiting and excited to go on this adventure. Great,
Judah's already on the helicopter. Oh, he'll be here really quick,

(02:19):
said Rose. Noah and Rose were packing their bags and
getting ready for this really exciting trip. As Judah took
off the helicopter from the ground, it went higher and
higher to the sky. He was so excited for this
drive to go pick up his brother and sister. As

(02:42):
he was flying about five minutes in, something strange happened. WHOA,
where's all that fog coming from? When he checked all
the weather reports, there was no one talking about fog
coming in. What the winds must have changed.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
I can bear see anything, said Judah. He had flown
helicopters like hundreds of times and never seen this bad
of fog. Fog is really dangerous when you're flying because
you don't see where you're going, and you have to
rely on your instruments. Your instruments are the pieces of

(03:21):
the helicopter or the airplane that tell you where you're
going if you can't see, like maybe if you're flying
at night or through fog. But Juda's helicopter, oh boy,
he was not ready for all this fog. All of
a sudden, all the instruments on Juda's helicopter just turned off.

(03:41):
What I can't tell anything. There was a map that
was showing him where he was going, but it just
shut off. Oh no, something's not right. Judah had to
find a safe place to land. He had been flying
over a really big lake, a lake that he'd never
been on before. And Judah is going to need to

(04:04):
put this helicopter down. But if you're in the middle
of water helicopters, this was not like a sea helicopter.
This is not good. Wait, there's some land over there.
Judah saw a little bit of land, and he's carefully
landed the helicopter on the beach. He landed on what
looked like a small island on this very big lake.

(04:28):
Oh no, my walkie talkie out of batteries. Why is
everything going wrong? Shouted Judah. He was marooned on this island.
How in the world are Noah and Rose going to
come to his rescue? Back over at Noah and Rose's house,
he realized that it had been an hour. They hadn't

(04:51):
heard from Judah. Rose. Didn't you say that he was
going to be here in like thirty minutes. It's been
way longer than that, said Noah. I know, I was
getting worried too. Uh, let's check the walkie talkie, Judah,
are you there over? Sh no response. Okay, let's we

(05:13):
gotta check the tracker. No inn. Rose pulled up the tracker,
which was a tracking device that lived onside of the
helicopter so that everyone could know where it was at
all times.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
Oh no, look, it looks like it's in the middle
of the lake. That's not good for a helicopter. We
got a hurry, go, go go. They couldn't tell that
the helicopter had landed on an island. They had thought
maybe the helicopter had crashed into the water of the lake,
so they were in a hurry. No In Rows ran

(05:46):
as fast as they could through the airport to the
other side. There was a seaplane there. Do you know
what a seaplane is. Yeah, it's a kind of plane
that can land on water.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
Yeah. It has instead of wheels like normal planes land,
it has these big booys and big things that float
on the water. Yeah, that would be perfect for a
lake rescue. Noah and Rose got on board and took
off the plane immediately. They had to fly to that

(06:18):
lake and find Judah as fast as they could. Oh, no,
we might be running out of time, but if Judah's
just floating in the water, we got a hurry. Remember,
Judah was safe on that island, but Noah and Rose
they didn't know that, so they were they were a
little panicked. I would be too. Noah and Rose flew

(06:40):
to that lake, and instantly they were surrounded by that fog.
Where did this fog come from? Shouted Rose. I don't know,
but it must be something with this lake. Noah and
Rose flew to where the location was on the map
of the tracker for the helicopter. Uh oh, look, there's

(07:02):
there's an island. Whoa, it looks like Judah landed the
helicopter on that tiny little island. All right, let's put
the plane down on the water. Noah and Rose carefully
landed the plane down on the water next to the island. Judah,

(07:25):
are you over there? Judah was waving his arms on
the beach. Guys, I can't believe you found me. How
did you do that? Shouted Judah. Oh, we followed your tracker.
Remember that tracking device on in the helicopter. Oh yeah, wow,
good call. I guess we gotta wait for this fog

(07:47):
to blow over, or I guess we could just like
do our camping adventure here. This is a pretty cool island,
he found, said Rose. Noah looked around and he agreed.
All right, Well, I guess plans change sometimes, and I
guess we're camping on this island. Wow. I'm so glad
that Noah and Rose were able to find Judah. That's

(08:10):
crazy how that fog just came out of nowhere right, Yeah,
and sometimes, you know, plans change. But that's okay. The
fun part is that Judah, Noah and Rose get to
do it together the end. Great job, you listened all

(08:32):
the way to the end, and you know what time
it is. It's time for good shout out. I want
to say hey to Ethan and Sam from Oahuu, Graham
and Grady from Wisconsin, Waverley, Augie and Jonah from Edmonton, Alberta,
Noah from West London, Illinois, Kisim from Rio Junsu, and

(08:52):
Silas from Pittsburgh. I'm so glad that you're all in
the Kid Short Stories family and on our spy team.
We could not stop Stinky Breath and his team without you,
my friends. Well you have a super duper day and
I will see you on our next adventure.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
Bye.
