About Mr. Jim:

Hi! I'm Jim Jacob, a South Carolina based creator. I started as a podcaster by accident. Our first real episodes on the internet were me trying to find a solution to help tell my sons stories as I was traveling for work. I recorded some stories and hoped that by uploading them to a podcast app, my wife and kids could have easy access to listen. What started as a fix for our family’s bedtime routine interruption has grown into a worldwide audience with hundreds of thousands of listeners. My wife Jocelyn and I have 3 kids and love inspiring others towards greater imagination and curiosity.

Speaker 1 (00:04):
Hello friends, it's mister Jim and welcome back to kid
Short Stories. Do you know what makes these stories like
ten times more awesome? Yeah, sharing with a friend. So
right now I want you to think of two friends
that you want your parents to text this episode two
and then you guys can listen together. Well, today's story
comes to us. Remember, hey, Ember, he's in me an
awesome idea for a story, and you can't too. Just

(00:25):
head over to kidshort stories dot com. Send me your
idea and maybe we'll turn it into an awesome adventure.
You guys were ready for a Christmas adventure, me too.
Let's go there. Once was a creature who lived in
the forest. He was very small, oddly fluffy, and bright pink.

(00:50):
If you stumbled across him in the middle of the forest,
you would think that you were dreaming or maybe have
stumbled into some imaginative land. But no, Kazoo is very
very real. I always used to wonder why he got
his name mister Kazoo, until I met him. Then it
all made sense. Well, yes, he did kind of sound

(01:20):
like he talked into a kazoo, and he made sounds
like a kazoo, so that's probably why they named him
mister Kazoo. Most of the year, mister Kazoo lived in
the forest and helped other creatures as they need it.
But there is one season of the year where he

(01:40):
is very very important.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
Oop to the Sumber the totll December.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Yes, mister Kazoo. His season where he is very important
is the Christmas season. Do you know why? Oh? Yes,
he has a very important job. He's undercover on Santa's team.
His job is to protect all the presents from the
main and angry Doctor Stinky Breath. And I'm sure you're

(02:18):
wondering how could a tiny, little fluffy creature protect all
the presents in the world from the evil Doctor Stinky Breath. Well,
mister Kazoo has a very special repellent. Do you know
what a repellent is. Yeah, it's kind of like bug repellent.
So if you spray the bug repellent, the bugs will

(02:40):
stay away from you. And mister Kazoo has figured out
the special formula for a Doctor Stinky Breath repellent.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
Ah, I've got a little of my ungrillilance.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
For the mule. You see, it was only one day
a year, on December one, that mister Kazoo was able
to gather all the ingredients to make this secret special
spray route unload some.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
Barrels of the sort.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
Mister Kazoo picked off a couple berries from a bush
and unload some lavender or av he found some lavender nearby. Unfoulo,
I'll mold my I don't even know what mister Kazoo
uses as this final secret ingredient. What do you think

(03:37):
it is? What do you think would repel Doctor Stinky
Breath in the Purple Ninjas? Hmm, well, I guess we'll
never know.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
Ah rut. I just got a proton orbles bottles and
them ha that result Christmas, Because remember doctor Stinky Breath
in the Purple Ninjas.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
There are two things that they don't like, happiness and
things that smell good. Yeah, remember all the times that
he's tried to get rid of all the flowers or
all the things that make us so happy. I know
it's the worst. Well, mister Kazoo has developed the spray
to repel and keep him away, so that will surely

(04:22):
save all of our presents. Mister Kazoo was not only
a small fluffy pink thing. He could also fly and
so as he grabbed all the things that he needed.
He started flying north, like way north. What do you
think is the farthest thing north? Maybe even at the

(04:43):
north pole. Yeah, Santa's workshop. Mister Kazoo was headed straight
for the workshop.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
Santas gont loved us Starctor still sproles or smearsar god,
little ms running gird of slope sometimes. Oh I love
Harold Smalls.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
As mister Kazoo flew all the way to the workshop,
he was greeted by some very happy elves. Why hello,
mister Kazoo, it is great to see you, shouted one
of the elves. La raw, I'll have.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
The special stuff with stab.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
Why certainly come with me. The elves led the way
from mister Kazoo all the way to Santa's office. Santa
had a beautifully humongous office near the workshop. That is
where you know he went through all the lists and
got everything ready for the big day. Oh my boy,

(05:52):
Oh mister Kazoo, it is it is great to see you.
How how are you doing today?

Speaker 2 (06:00):
I'm thrown and the trap, I have the doctor the
breath sprowl her rattler.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
Check it out. Santa reached down on one knee and
picked up the spray bottle out of mister Kazoo's hands.
He sprayed at onces. Oh, yes, that smells perfect. That
will definitely keep doctor stinky breath away from all the

(06:29):
presents and the stockings this year. He has caused some
serious trouble in the past, and ever since you made
this spray, it has certainly saved the day, said Santa.
Why don't you spend the day with with the elves
and and you can help make the toys at the
at the workshop.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
Robot's fair and nuts of the Santa alongs of her
much But I'll have to turn back to my heart.
All those clans have to sort of growing, and I
have to check them on avl doll just to get
them rubber from upstir.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
Yeah, mister Kazoo had a very important job to make
sure all these ingredients were growing and that nobody learned
what those secret ingredients truly were. Oh, I understand, mister Kazoo,
you have an important job for us all well, thank
you very much. The children all around the world are

(07:30):
always grateful for you. On Christmas morning, I will spray
this on all the stockings and trees in presents to
make sure that they are all safe from that stinky,
stinky doctor Punk Santa. Whereas Rilla brah as mister Kazoo

(07:52):
flew off from the North Pole back to his home,
he was very happy because he had again save the
world from Doctor Stinky Breath and now maybe, just maybe
the spy team. Do you think we should use that
spray too? Huh? I think we should. I think mister

(08:13):
Kazoo is on to something special the end. Great job,
you listened all the way to the end, and you
know what time it is. It's time for kude shout out.

(08:34):
I want to say hey to Evertt and Soren from
Fort Collins, Colorado, Oliver from Nova Scotia, Dominic and Vincent
from Massachusetts, Garth from Illinois, Daniel from Nova Scotia, and
Zaif and Hamira from South Africa. I'm so glad that
you're all in the Kitchen Story's family and on our
spy team. We could not stop Doctor Stinky Breath and

(08:56):
his crew without you, my friends. Well, you have a
duper duper day and I will see you on our
next adventure.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
Bye. Mm hm
