Hi! I'm Jim Jacob, a South Carolina based creator. I started as a podcaster by accident. Our first real episodes on the internet were me trying to find a solution to help tell my sons stories as I was traveling for work. Hello friends, it's miss Sturch him and welcome back to
kit Short Stories. Today's stories brought to us by Mela.

volcano with the help of their kiddie me too, Let go.
It was a very rainy and windy evening at Carly
and Charlotte's house. They lived in a place where they

(00:49):
had lots of thunderstorms. Have you ever heard a thunderstorm before? Yeah?
Those big crashes of thunder and the big flashes of lightning.
Holy smokes, that can be a little scary, right, Yeah, Well, thunderstorms.
When we're inside of our house, we are nice and safe.
And outside of Carly and Charlot's house was very windy.

(01:16):
As the wind howled, Carly and Charla were very nervous
inside their bedroom. Carly, are are are we gonna be okay?
Said Charla? Yeh, I think so?

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (01:32):
Mom zad, where are you? We're scared? Shouted Carly. Their
parents came running and helped them fall asleep. Grown ups
are really good at that, helping us fall asleep when
we're a little afraid. Yeah, that's exactly what Carly and
Charla needed. They laid back down in their beds, pulled

(01:55):
the covers up to their chins and their eyes, and
fell asleep. As they were sleeping, that wind continued to
howl and the rains came down. The next morning, Carly
and Charlo were in for a big surprise. Charla, wake up,

(02:19):
Charlot look out the window. Carly shouted, what what's out there?
As they looked out their window, they could see that
branches had broken off of trees from all the wind
last night. Holy smokes, that's a big mess, shouted Carly.
They couldn't believe it. Leaves, branches, even a tree had

(02:42):
fallen down. There was a lot of work to clean
up that day. Carly and Charla came downstairs and ate
their breakfast because they knew they had to get to work.
All right, let's put on our boots and get some gloves,
and I'm kind of excited to clean up the yard,
like getting all the branches and using our muscles. It's

(03:04):
gonna be great, said Charla. Carly and Charla ran out
the door. They were very excited to see all this
big mess from the storm last night. As the door
was opened, their cat, Vigroo, shot out the door. Hey Vigroo,
do you want to come help us now? Said vigor.

(03:26):
Vigroo was a tiny little kitten who was very adventurous
and always loved to help. All right, Charla, can you
grab those branches over there? And holy smokes, this is
a big mess. Uh, I'm gonna start working on this
one over here. I might need your help, though. Carly
grabbed onto a giant branch as Charla pulled some of

(03:50):
the smaller ones over to the street. The branch that
Carly was trying to move was way too heavy. It's
like it was half of the tree. Whoa, they really
need your help, Charla. Can you come over here? Maybe
the both of us could try and budget Okay, one, two, three?
Hell oh nothing right, Let's take a closer look at this.

(04:14):
As Carly and Charla walked around this giant branch, they
realized that it was actually really, really big. It was
this whole tower of a whole bunch of branches that
had fallen into one place, and the bottom was this
big branch that almost made like a cave. Vigro was
very curious. Vigro, hey, don't go in there. Wait, come back.

(04:40):
Vigro climbed underneath the branches and went inside. Now now now, oh,
ruddles the thun, said a voice from inside the tree.
What was that? Carly and Charlott looked at each other.
They had never heard a voice like that before. Figroo,

(05:02):
are you okay coming out? Woah, oh snuffle tomorrow? Wait
who is in there? Carly and Charlotte dove into the
tree branch to try and save their kiddy from this
unknown voice. Ow oh oh ouch ow that was a

(05:25):
sharp one, said Charla. Yeah, and I got Lea's all
over my hair. Now, said Carly. Figaro, where are you?
This collection of tree branches was so big it was
like a big cave and treehouse, and it was a
pretty cool fort. Actually, maybe they should leave this here

(05:46):
for a little while. They finally found Vigro. He was
standing next to a unicorn. Holy smoked, where did you
come from? Said carl.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
Wow. The storm lous no lornal ardewell off for the
mountain and ire now, but I got stuck under those brownchels,
little hartmets and bottleser.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
Said the unicorn. Oh absolutely, I'm so sorry that happened.
That was a crazy storm, said Carly. Carly and Charlot
worked really hard to lift up some of the branches
to make a path big enough for the unicorn, Vigroo
and the two of them to get out out. Ooh out, oh,

(06:38):
finally we made it. Carly and Charla brushed off all
the leaves and sticks and everything that got stuck to
their clothes and their hair. It took a while, and
Vigroo was had made a very good new friend with
the unicorn. Well, my name's Carly, this is Charla. Those

(07:00):
are kitten Vigo cal Vlo and what's your name? Marlald
estopho Hey Stephanie. Well so tell us again, like where
do you live? And do you need help getting back there?

Speaker 2 (07:15):
Uh? Well I don't know, harp. I just know that
harp out from Rondola. Those trolls and adoles, brown soils. Sorry,
Lord Arttle and helped for and our fox ours running
to have a pulp or frown before. I've not had
a pull up or frown before. The little half pulper friends.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
Do we have people friends? Yeah, of course we're we're people,
but we would love to be friends with a unicorn.
We've always wanted to be friends with a unicorn. Holy smokes.
Carly and Charlotte are so lucky they get to be
friends with a real unicorn. Have you ever met a
unicorn before? Oh? Man, they're so cool. I wish I

(07:55):
had a unicorn friend. Well, Carly, Charla, they're Kitty Vigo
and their new friend Stephanie the unicorn spent the rest
of the day cleaning up the yard and having a
lot of fun together. I think this is the beginning
of a very special new friendship. The end. Great job.
